    I feel for the amount I pay monthly for the insurance on my phones the deductible is way to high. I looked on eBay and I can buy a refurbished iPhone for 200 dollars. I pay about 35 a month for coverage and had never used it and I had to pay 112 dollars for a refurbished pink phone. Not red like the one that was damaged.

    I was recently on business internationally, when my cell phone screen cracked. I called Asurion to find out what I could do. I was told by a representative that I could get my screen fixed at a local business then email the receipt to an email address they provided, along with a US address for reimbursement (minus a $29 deductible). I went ahead and got my screen fixed and emailed the receipt, but the email bounced. After spending over an hour on the phone and five transfers (including one back to my service provider, Verizon), I was told that international cracked screen repairs are no longer covered by Asurion. I was also told that it was my fault because the fine print in the insurance agreement that we signed when adding this insurance contained this information (I do not travel with such documentation). There was literally nothing anyone could do.

    After talking with the Chief Executive Office and pleading my case for several minutes, I was transferred to an automated survey without as much as a "goodbye." I tried to keep my calm during this entire phone call experience (if they do record their calls, then they will see this is true). However, I am left wondering why I should have to pay the cost for the false information and erroneous instructions that were provided to me when I called in need of assistance. Apparently, nothing you hear from Asurion representatives over the phone can be trusted, so buyer beware. I have no satisfaction from my claim. Replacing the entire phone, which seems wasteful and would have taken a lot of extra time, would have cost me less than fixing my cracked screen.

    I would appreciate a follow up with more than an explanation that the manager of the department that provided me false and costly information will pass on the correct information to their employees to prevent this in future. This action does nothing to help me now, and I have no way of knowing whether this action will even happen. I feel like an exception should have been made in my case (with full reimbursement) because I followed the directions for the claims process to a "t".

    Verizon made me file a claim because my iPhone 7+ screen was cracked when I went to trade in the iPhone. NOTHING else was wrong with the phone. I just wanted to update! Asurion sent me to have a new screen placed at uBreakiFix closest to my home. They apparently replaced my screen with an incompatible part, thus phone would not work! Took it back the very next day, as the store was closed. Asurion would not let them replace again. The store called Asurion, and they said they would be sending me a new iPhone 7+ Overnight. I received this USED phone that does NOT work! It will NOT download my apps from my iTunes account or cloud when I try to set it up.

    I called Asurion. They had me reset network settings, then erase and reset the whole phone. Still not working. They said to reset phone and someone would call me in one hour! No return phone call. I've was on the phone with them or Verizon from 3-530 pm! I had to leave my home to go to a funeral. I tried calling them back. They keep transferring me to Verizon technical support. I have to Start ALL over with my issue with every new person, as it seems like it’s too much for them to actually read all the notes on my issue. Then they transfer back to Asurion. Now Asurion said they can't do anything until ONE more test is ran on phone where I have to hook it up to a computer to test iTunes from home!! I'm on the road to a funeral now! I was home for 2 1/2 hours and not instructed to do this until I get in my car!

    My phone had a crack in the screen.... nothing else was wrong with it!!! I have received no help ALL week long!!! A week of frustration, and anger!! They had me so mad I was in tears!! So stupid! Just the runaround from Verizon and Asurion! And now I have a broken phone that I cannot conduct our business on!

    I finally told the guy how can I get a new phone? I am not home now to do this iTunes thing, and won’t be for a while. Y’all obviously sent me a broken refurbished phone. He told me I could go to the Verizon store and just outright purchase a new phone. He said he will send me another envelope to send this broken phone back to them and credit me my $30 deductible. That makes absolutely NO sense!!!!

    I started with a working phone with a cracked screen!!! Now I’m supposed to send the broken phone back to them, and be left with nothing to trade in on my account?? This company is a scam artist!! I have paid insurance on ALL of our devices for years. This is the first time I’ve EVER filed a claim, and it’s only because Verizon told me I had to! I’m now looking at switching to apple care or ANYTHING besides ASURION!!!

    I am going to be honest, last year I filed a claim and it was not a good experience for a variety of reasons that I will not go into. This most recent one went off without a hitch, good customer service and quick response. Phone came within 2 days. I think you have made positive changes to your program however; I do not like the extra steps I have to take by filling out additional forms and sending a copy of my Drivers License to you. It is unnecessary as you have all of my information already. It is overkill and an annoyance for the customer.

    Process was lengthy. Initially I was told they would not honor the contract because I did not have a valid address and there were no technicians in my area to assist. After they decided to bypass the address issue and they received my phone I was asked via email to call them. The service agent indicated that I was not authorized to speak on my account and could not explain the email. Interesting as I had already made at least two contacts because of the address issue. I was required to have Verizon confirm that I was the actual account holder. It seemed to me they were going out of their way to make fulfilling the contract as difficult as possible for me. The matter was only resolved after I demanded repayment of my contract or the repair of my phone.

    I dropped my iPhone7, which sadly, holds my life! I filed a claim and was pleased to find that my new phone $149 would arrive two days later. Receiving the phone, I went about activating- how hard could that be? I spent two hours on the phone (landline) talking to the support Techs at Verizon, Apple and Asurion. Phone wouldn’t activate. Why? Because the software was so outdated. Attempted twice to update it via iTunes, both times failed. Two hours, 30 minutes, another call to Asurion. The answer? Some of the iPhone 7, model 1660, have defective motherboards! Why in the F would they not test them or simply pull them off the shelf. Complete waste of time and money!

    Was told that I would get my phone within 24-48 business hours of filing my claim. They acknowledged receipt of my documents (documents they requested from me) on Saturday July 6, 2019. It is now Friday July 12, 2019 & I still haven't received my phone!!! They stated to me that within 24 hours of acknowledgement of my documents that they will get back to me with the next step towards getting my new phone (even though they said 48 hours in the acknowledgement email). The excuse they've given me is that my phone company hasn't fulfilled the steps that they're supposed to fulfill. I contacted my phone company (Freedom mobile of Canada) & they said there's no record of any correspondence from Asurion. A very frustrating experience dealing with this company. I definitely DO NOT recommend Asurion!!!

    I dropped my phone in the toilet, there was no fixing it but that’s wasn't a problem since I’ve always had insurance on my devices. I thought wrong. I called immediately & spoke with an associate who assured me I’d receive an iPhone 7 which would be an upgrade so I continued & completed my payment over the phone. Sadly the company didn’t even bother to inform me that the phone I was suppose to be receiving wouldn’t be available for another two weeks. So I wait 2 days & call back, only then did an associate say that the iPhone 7 was out of stock & they weren't sure when it would be available again.

    I ask what's the next step here & I was informed that I’d have to downgrade & even when the iPhone 7 becomes available I will not receive one because it wasn’t available when I filed my claim. This is beyond me because your company’s doesn’t even inform customers of what's really going on. I miss work & other events because I have no phone for weeks & sadly they couldn’t seem to care one bit. As long as the payment went through everything’s alright with them. I would buy a new phone in a heartbeat if I knew this would happen, the phone I’m receiving isn’t even worth the deductible I’m paying.

    I have had nothing but problems since I began contacting this company for a replacement diamond earring back. All I needed was an earring back. I have had to make at least 7 phone calls in regards to this since June 7. My first phone call was 90 minutes long and nothing was achieved because 12 days later I called and they did not have anything with the claim started. I had to make 3 separate phone calls this evening just trying to find out how I can actually get my package back. Now they have my diamond earring (because that is what is required in order to receive a replacement back) and I have no guarantee that I will ever get it returned to me.

    There has been no resolution to it other than it has been "escalated" and I will receive a phone call within 2 business days. (I have been told this line before.) This process has been more than complicated, the customer service reps rude and condescending and at times hard to understand with their thick Indian accents. I have had to politely ask them to repeat themselves because I can't understand their thick accents. It has been a nightmare. If I ever lose another earring back I will just buy one for $45 off of Amazon because the time I have wasted matters more to me than the headache this company has caused me. 0 Stars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    This is simply the most unethical company I ever dealt with in my life. First, I was sold the Asurion phone protection insurance at the moment I bought a brand new phone at a Bell store. So Bell is also responsible as they also gave me incorrect information at the moment I signed up. This unethical company: Never told me they could send me a USED PHONE as a replacement for my phone in case of a claim, which is INSANE considering the fact that, besides the $16 monthly fees, I'd have to pay extra $299 plus tax to have my phone replace! I was expressly told at sign up that I'd get a brand new phone in case I made a claim and this is clearly not the case. They told me to read the fine print on their website when I contacted them. Still, they increased the price I was told from $249 plus tax to $299 plus tax for no reason, just another way to take more money.

    Even worse, they require customers to SEND THEIR OWN PHONE back to them in case of a claim despite the fact that, if a phone is lost, you don't have to send anything back. This simply means that they are TAKING your phone by force for the parts, even though those are YOUR parts to do whatever with them! If you say your phone is lost you don't have to pay extra fees, but if you are honest and tell them the phone is broken instead of lost then you have to send them the phone or pay a couple hundred dollars EXTRA if you don't it! Stop taking phones by force, they don't belong to you Asurion!

    Bottom line is I "donated" a few hundred dollars in monthly fees to them as their services are as good as nothing and AT THE END YOU SIMPLY PAY AROUND $350 PLUS GIVE THEM YOUR OWN PHONE IN RETURN FOR A FREAKING USED PHONE! I called them many times until I was finally able to cancel my plan. They act like they polite, nice and helpful, but they just want to take your money and give you breadcrumbs in return. NEVER AGAIN!

    Have paid $10.00/monthly for insurance for my iPhone 7 plus for 3 years, when I bought it brand new. Never had a claim and last week my phone started malfunctioning. Couldn't make or receive calls. I had to pay $149.00 for a refurbished phone that came out 3 years ago. Not to mention the 10.00 a month I paid for the insurance.     I have insurance for a lost phone with Asurion via AT&T and it's almost scary how hard they make it to actually file a claim. I've submitted no less than 6 affidavits that have been denied for writing down the information I received from their support staff verbatim. So far 8 days and no phone, and submitting the 7th affidavit tonight. ABSOLUTELY cancel the insurance with these scammers and go with Apple Care.

    On June 29 I filed a claim with with Asurion for a cracked screen. I could still use my phone but wanted the crack repaired. I took the phone to their certified technician. They ended up not fixing the cracked screen and broke my phone beyond use. The screen was black and the home button wouldn't work. I called Asurion and let them know what happened. They said they would replace the phone for free since it wasn't my fault. They wanted me to sign an affidavit and send id. I did all of that and they sent me an email saying I would have to pay a deductible of $112. I called them back and they said if I wanted it taken care of quickly, I would need to pay $112. Well, I am not paying for something their technician broke. It has been 7 days since the initial claim and I have called them several times.

    I don't know if the technician lied and said they didn't break it but in my opinion they are either taking their side over mine or they don't want to stand behind their warranty. Either way I wouldn't use Asurion again. I also want to let everyone know about my experience so they know better. I paid for the insurance for 2 years and this was my first experience using it.

    I hate having phone issues, but every time I have Asurion has made the process easy and headache free. The people at Asurion make a massive headache easier to deal with. Nothing but good things from this company and the employees. I always have to call them back for help setting up the replacement phone. They never make me feel as dumb as I am.

    My phone is a android, and being it is a android the screen warranty does not apply. I have never filed a claim for damage, and have been paying insurance coverage for many many years, and this first time I go to use it, because I broke the screen, I am informed that I cannot have the screen replaced, yet I can spend $149.00 to replace the phone. Amazing!!! In my literature, the wording is “screen replacement $29.00“ false. Not happy.

    6/24/19 I filed a claimed lost my phone and they simply denied my claim stating program abuse, after collecting all my monthly payments, I want to refund or replace my phone since I need the phone for work. No question ask. They simply denied the claim without reason. This company is a big crook. Stealing people's money.
