Great customer service from the Pro Techs. I had a call back due to my own time constraints. Both techs were knowledgable and extremely helpful in locating/loading my backups. The techs patiently allowed me to explore some settings in the phone and answered every single question I could think of.

Experience was easy and clear. I was not happy that I had to pay over 200.00 dollars for a replacement phone even though I had insurance coverage on the lost phone. It would be nice to get that money back.

Although the deductibles are ridiculously high, the overall experience was fast and simple. The replacement device came the next day and the activation of the new device was very simple when following the step by step guide. The return packaging was pre-labeled and easy to use.

Everything went well, the service we received was personal, efficient and professional. The local AT&T store in Stow is wonderful so glad I left Verizon. The only thing that would have made the experience better was the amount of time it took for the phone replacement, 7 days was a bit much understandable though coming from Texas.

Over the course of about a month we needed to get three replacement phones through Asurion due to functional issues with the phones. While they did replace the phones quickly, they mistakenly wrote us up as having two claims and charged us over $200 for the third replacement phone as well as canceling our insurance for having more than one claim in a 12 month period. They claim that they never received the second phone back, but in conversations with them, they told me that they were able to find the phone and that I would get a refund. After a year of dealing with them on this issue and repeated phone calls to them, they still have not refunded my money nor reinstated my insurance. Very disappointed - too bad I can't bill them for the nearly 20 hours I have spent on the phone with them to resolve this issue.

I've been a customer for years and years and years. I've never filed a claim or anything. I dropped my phone 3 ft and the back glass had 3 small cracks no cost because I had the TOTAL CARE PLAN. I thought I would be sent a replacement but I was told the replacement would cost $249. So, don't be misguided as I was by the TOTAL CARE PLAN because when you sign up for it, they don't inform you of any replacement fees. The only costs I saw were cracked screen replacement for $29 so I'm a little disappointed and feel really misled. It should not be legal to advertise the way they do.

Unfortunately, if the back of the device or any other parts are damaged, outside of the screen, we cannot service it for a screen repair. The screen repair would only repair damages related to the screen. However, the repair option is secondary to your primary insurance. Which means you do always have the option to have the device replaced for the amount of your deductible. For the past five months, I have been dealing with the most dishonest insurance company: ASURION, the phone insurance company. I can assure you, this has been the most unpleasant experience in decades! My son’s phone was stolen in April 2019. The next day, I filed a police report. Two days later on April 13, I started a claim with Asurion, ATT insurance company, to get a replacement device. A few days later, I received a replacement phone for my son.
The same day I received the replacement device, the stolen phone (my son’s phone) was found and returned to me. I called Asurion and asked if I could return the phone and if so, would I get reimbursed for $168 that were charged on my bank account. The agent assured me that “the money would be returned into my account within a couple of months”. This was in May 2019. Ever since, I have been calling numerous times however, the money has not been sent back to me.
Here is the issue: I sent the phone in its original box, using the label sent by the company. When I spoke to agents, they assured me they had received the phone and again, I would get the money back within 1 or 2 billing periods. My USPS receipt states that the phone was “delivered to Agent”, “May 17, 2019, at 5:16 pm: Tendered to Returns Agent KEARNY, NJ 07099”. I gave Asurion the USPS tracking number so they would know the phone had been received. Now, Asurion states that the phone was never received by the warehouse.
There may be a thief, or lack of organization, or both, within the Asurion warehouse company, however, I completed my part, which was to send the phone back, within its original box, with the label provided by the company. USPS clearly states it was delivered. Asurion company is playing hide and seek with reliable customers. While they make high profit on the monthly fee charged to customers, they are deceiving them, lying to them, and not being accountable for their promises. I call for a serious investigation on Asurion practices; I truly believe many customers have been the target of their deceptive practices.

I've paid my insurance faithfully. My 18yo daughter dropped and broke her phone screen. I filed a claim and they said they could replace it for 29.00 and they would come right to the house. The tech came to the house on time as promised. After messing with the phone for about 5 minutes, the tech said he has never seen this before but both my bottom screws were stripped! My daughter or I never touched the phone screws. He and Apple are the only ones who have touched those screws. At first I believed that they came from the factory stripped but the more I talked to Apple, or anyone that fixes phones, they all said the Asurion tech stripped the crews. All of them said they have never seen a phone come from Apple with stripped screws.
He wrote down on his notes that the screws were stripped before he came out (probably just to save his job). Now they won't do anything except want to totally replace the phone for $199. We have called and set up 2 other appointments with Asurion to see if they could replace the screen after remembering that the Asurion tech said he could replace the screen without pulling out the screws but it wouldn't hold as well. They never came out to either appointments and never called. I believe the tech stripped the screws on the phone and now we have to pay for his mistake, Shame on you Asurion!!!! You should make this right!

Phone came within three business days, it was easy to set up the new phone. And easy to return old phone with the packaging provided. I used the AT&T chat to activate the new phone with no issues. All in all it was a fairly simply process.

Updated on 10/08/2019: So after entering my review, an Asurion representative got in contact with me and asked for my claim number to inspect the case. However, despite this rep mentioned - in her public address to my review - that my customer service experience was not typical, in private she repeated the same response I got from their service manager: “Unfortunately, this denial will still stand, any physical damage on the device would void the manufacturer's warranty”. The only difference is that this time I was offered a $36 eGift card that by the way, I declined.
As I explain in my review, the grill of my microwave was NOT physically damaged but got detached from the body of the unit due to a manufacturing problem that developed over time. Also, as I explained in my review, their service company did not bothered to inspect or take any photo of the grill. So my answer to this last Asurion rep has been: Does Asurion has any picture or evidence that they could share proving the existence of the physical damage to the unit?... After more than a week I am still waiting for an answer from Asurion… Of course, Asurion won’t answer since in first place they did not even bothered to inspect the problem during their service visit. As I said stay away from them. You better keep your money in case a problem develops.
Original Review: On Oct 2017 I purchase a GE microwave from JCPenney and I complement my purchase with an Asurion protection plan, naively thinking it was a wise decision. On Sep 2019 the plastic attachment of the grill assembly to the microwave body breaks and call Asurion to report the problem. Asurion assigns AG Services to check my microwave.
AG Service guy arrives at my place at the end of the assigned time window, I explained him the issue with the appliance, then he walks to my kitchen and "see" my microwave. I literally mean "see" in the sense to just give it a quick sight. He does not even bother to "look at the problem", no picture taken, HE DOES NOTHING to inspect the problem. I offer him a small ladder to inspect the issue because this is microwave embedded in the top cabinet row and the problem is in the grill that had detached from the unit. But no, he just opens the microwave door and take note of the model, calls someone to get a quote on the part and tells me: grill is not under warranty and hands me an invoice (from AG service, NOT Asurion) to sign mentioning "customer responsible for $160 for the part"
So I call Asurion to verify what process to follow. Asurion customer service rep tells me that he should only hand me a paper verifying the service date and that Asurion will get back to me with a conclusion on whether the part is covered or not. The representative also asks me if I have signed the paper and advice me not to do it. I tell the AG service guy that I won't sign and at this point he leaves my place SLAMMING my front-door door WHILE I am with the Asurion Rep at the phone. Asurion Rep says she will escalate to the service manager. The day after, in a follow-up, the Asurion service manager calls me to confirm that the part is NOT covered because the technician has reported the part is BROKEN BY CUSTOMER. The service manager refers to: "misuse, abuse and/or insertion of object" - WITHOUT A SINGLE PHOTO TAKEN, A SINGLE EVIDENCE TO BACKUP THE STATEMENT, NOTHING!!!
Asurion service manager also tells me that the AG Service guy wrote in the report that I INVITED HIM TO LEAVE MY PLACE, not that he slammed while I was on the phone with the Asurion Rep!!! Actually there is no trace in that call with the service manager of the call of the conversation maintained the day before with Asurion customer service. My take: due to their horrible customer service, AG service just feeds from clients provided by companies running protection plans like Asurion. This is a win-win for them, Asurion gets reports claiming the damage is caused by misuse of the client and AG service gets a follow-up repair service to replace the part (that YOU have paid) and in such second repair visit who knows how much the will AG Service charge you??!!
You - and I in this case - as customer are the only one losing in the game... My advice AVOID ASURION. I will have to pay now $160 for the part - that I will replace myself - and I have paid $99.99 of a USELESS protection plan. In total $260, instead of $160 that I would paid if would have NOT been so NAIVE to think protection plans are useful and Asurion in particular.

My iPhone screen is broken -- Asurion is telling me that I have no providers in my area (I live in Arlington, VA) who can fix my iPhone screen, which would cost $49. Instead, Asurion is telling me that my ONLY option is to pay for a new phone, which would cost $299. This seems pretty ridiculous that I can't mail in my phone OR that Asurion can't find me a local provider to fix my phone at the price they have advertised. They said they might be having a "software glitch" since no providers are showing up and that I should wait a few days and call them back. Has anyone encountered this? How can I get it fixed? I spent almost 2 hours on the phone today with Asurion... talked to 4 different people, including headquarters... No one helped.

Even in very populated areas, it is more possible for parts, available slots and technicians to be unavailable. We lost our phone and asked to have it replaced. A phone of lesser insured value was received. I called upon receipt of phone and asked to speak to a supervisor, who worked with an ATT person in Tennessee to resolve the problem. I received another phone (Samsung 8) which I had programmed at a local ATT store. The supervisor did great.

Communication wasn't great and very vague. I had to call in a couple of times, but the people I spoke with were great and helped me. I would recommend communicating with people on the timeliness of the process and set-up proper expectations from the beginning.

After two years I finally make the mistake of dropping the phone and shattering half of the phone's back. Made the claim, understood that new replacement costs me hundred something dollars, a fraction of the actual cost, maybe at six hundred something now with the S-nine and S-ten already out? I don't know, but the new phone arrived in two days, I read the instructions on their website and started transferring all the data I needed. For the cheapest rate, eight dollars a month, it's worth it. Helped me save money in the long run since I'm almost done paying off the phone and don't plan on upgrading.

Have never filed a claim until yesterday. Was supposed to have a same day delivery between 5pm and 7pm. No call and no show. Called customer service number, they had no update on my order. Told me to call back the next day for system to provide an update. Next day was told the same thing. Collectively spent about 4 hours on a Saturday speaking to various reps about the issue. No one could give me a correct answer or confirmation of when I would receive my phone.
Received a text from someone in another state that they were on their way with my phone, only they are in a completely different state. Someone from their corporate office named George just called and also has no update on my order. George asked me to call back Monday. Worst customer service experience I have had in a long time, maybe in my life. Fingers crossed someone on Monday will have some answers. Disappointed to pay into insurance and when I actually need to use it, I get it the run around.

Very happy that I received the first replacement in such a timely manner. Although the sound from the phone was muffled so I had to order a new one, the experience was pleasant and I’m happy I didn’t have to use a phone with a broken screen.

I did have to report this three times. But it could have been the fraudulent accounts set up that had been commingled with my att account that caused this. I think I have an account that I didnt set up. That is currently protecting fraudulently purchased and paid for accounts though. Please contact me.

After entering my phone number and pin, and indicating that I am not a robot, I have been watching the processing wheel continue to spin for over 30 minutes. I can't proceed with the claim until it stops spinning. The inability of the Asurion claims system to process a claim is infuriating and frustrating. It shouldn't take this long for an automated front end system to accept my input and allow me to complete the claim process. Their promotional material indicates that claims can be filed 24 hours a day. I guess that that means you have to watch and wait 24 hours for Asurion to allow you to complete the claim forms.

First, I would like to commend the customer service representative for being not only polite but patient with me during our conversation. The representative answered all my questions and concerns needed to replace this device as soon as possible. The replacement telephone was received the next day as the representative indicated with one exception. This was not the company fault but the deliveries fault. The package was supposed to be signed for; however, when I came home the telephone was at my front door between my screen and front door.

Arrived on time... called AT&T to activate, "line" was long, left number to call me back and they never did... I called back the next day and it was a smooth process... the rep made sure my insurance carried over to replacement new phone, which was helpful and at the same time something I took for granted since I never canceled it to begin with.

Asurion refused to honor my extended warranty. I would never buy one again. Here's the situation: I bought an extended warranty for a product that I purchased in a Wal-Mart store. The manufacturer's warranty lasted for 5 years. The extended warranty explicitly states in the fine print that "Except for the enhanced coverage outlined above, which begins on your date of purchase, all other coverage becomes effective immediately following the expiration of the manufacturers warranty". But, when I finally got through to a customer representative and then the manager, it was explained to me that this only applies in cases where the manufacturer's warranty is shorter than 2 years. Nowhere in the fine print does it say this! I certainly would not have bought an extended warranty for a toaster if all I was going to get was enhanced protection against a power-surge.
Rather, I bought it so that I could get a replacement if the product broke AFTER the extended warranty expired. I asked the manager to just give me back the money I bought for the warranty (it wasn't much!) but he said he couldn't. That's where we left it. They won the battle because what can a customer do? My only recourse is arbitration, which I might try, and to swear to never buy another extended warranty plan from Asurion again and to alert everybody who I can that Asurion is a unscrupulous company who cannot be trusted. By the way, when you call 877-968-6391 and make the claim on the phone (don't hang up!) a customer representative will eventually come to the phone to help. But, over and over it will tell you to go to the website. Just ignore that and wait.

I filed my claim on Wednesday and realized the shipping address was incorrect. I called immediately and they were unable to change it. The following day, I was notified that my order was cancelled and we could resubmit it. I did all this and was told I would receive my phone today by 12. I have not received a tracking number so I call in hopes of getting one from the CSR. The CSR now tells me she has no idea when I will receive my phone but it could be 2-3 days. The purpose of this insurance is not to be given the runaround and false advertisements. As a single parent, I am now without a phone for who knows how long. I will be cancelling insurance as soon as possible because this seems to be a waste of time and money.

Overall it was a good experience. It since they did not make the same model phone I had they were trying to downgrade me instead of upgrading me. She tried very hard to tell me that the phone they were offering me was not a downgrade but since I work in the cell phone industry I knew better. After going back and forth she finally got me a phone that was comparable to the phone I had damaged but it shouldn’t have taken that long and I shouldn’t have gone back and forth with her until she realized I knew a lot about phones.

Purchased a protection plan from Home Depot for our Washer. The Washer stopped working, I called and the Repair Company could not get to me for 5 days. Once they did arrive they informed me the circuit board was dead, the keypad needed replacing as well as two other parts. The case had to be reviewed by Asurion which took another 3-4 days. They decided to repair and not replace. It Took them a week to get the parts and then 3 days to get back to us to install new parts. Installed new parts and found another part needed in replacing. That part is on order which will take 5 days and repair can't get to us until middle of week next week. We are now a month into this fiasco.
Total cost for parts $650.00, repair labor $95.00. That is well over $700.00. The washer cost $699.00. The repair company recommended a replacement. Asurion decided to repair. We are now a month without a washer and still waiting on another part because the repair company didn't have it in stock. Asurion I hope you read this. I hope this part doesn't fix this washer and I hope you have to do a replacement putting you well over the $1400.00 mark.

The lady said it should not be that hot. It is a shame we are not allowed to decide upon no star rating. 1. Verizon reps - repeatedly and almost assuredly thru script kept addressing the $29.99 deductible if "anything goes wrong with your phone." I am a licensed health and life insurance in this and other states. It is both illegal - state and federal - for anyone not licensed to provide parameters of insurance policies other than the premium cost - and the ins. parameters should have been referred to a number in the ins company for further info. 2. Email or providing personnel info on internet or email attachment - MSN and most free email servers are open - ended - no sec. parameters test this ban email from a new friend or relat. - short order you will get email inc. name of that person to sell or inpreg system. - MSN states that they are not accountable for providing such security. Yet it took 6 full conversations with Ver. and Ins people to pry out a fax number to return info …
3. Twice upon providing info - getting email inf. me that claim cancelled. Calling Ins. co - telling me "oh that's just the electronic worlds" - and telling me no deductible - at the end of conv. asking for my cred. card for 200 charge. 4. Inf. that delivery would be next day by FedEx or UPS - later at night finding email stating someone downstairs - "ON SITE expert " wanting to do phone conv. in my home so he could return with my old phone - never calling, not text, nothing that I clearly informed ins rep I would accept.
5. 16 months - $1000 phone - 15 per month x 16 months - paid out - then new revelation of $200 deductible - All adds up to what a new Note 10 would cost as I am already paid up on the old one. Do not get ins> from Verizon represented by this company - THE PROOF IS EVIDENT - NOT A REPUTABLE OPERATION - UNRELIABLE - UNDEPENDABLE - UNSECURE - TOO MUCH RISKING YOUR private confidential information merely by the way they conduct business. Stay away.

I cracked my iPhone screen, but I was not worried because I have Total Mobile Protection (insurance) through Verizon with Asurion for $39/month. RIGHT?! Unfortunately, Asurion will NO LONGER offer in-home screen repair/replacement or local screen repair. Asurion claims "the parts are not available". Really??? Apple has the parts available in every store for $129! Instead, Asurion asks that I mail in my iphone for 3-5 days and they'll replace the screen (thought those parts were not available?) or send me a replacement phone (likely a refurbished one they have in stock, not my new XR phone).
Asurion claim agents will tell you that repair service is NOT AVAILABLE in your zip code, then ask you to supply different zip codes to see if service is available to you. Two dozen zip codes in Atlanta, GA came back "not available". Sadly, Asurion's service has cut back significantly and is not worth the price. Their agents are not empowered to help or deviate from the script..."you can pay $29 more and mail in your device or you can pay $199 and have your device replaced with a "different one" (not new). Buyer beware and stay away from Ausion these days. You're better off paying $ if you have damage.

Normally I do not write reviews but I'm annoyed. My window was between 11-1. No one showed up. They called and pushed the window back to 1:30-2. No one showed up. Then I had to call them and find out where they were. Ridiculous. They kept me on hold for 20-30 while the customer service rep attempted to talk over me every time I spoke. The communication is lackluster at best.. Would not recommend to a living soul.

Called in claim on 8/19...was advised that the Samsung S8 was not in stock so we would receive the S9. We were advised that delivery would be made within 3-5 days. On day 6, 8/25, I called to check the status and was advised the claim had not been completed...the rep did not complete the claim request. I was then advised that the claim could be resubmitted, however we would receive the S8. I was given several different scenarios on what exactly happened. I requested to receive the phone that we were promised, the S9, since this situation was beyond our control, but was told that was not an option.
When I requested to speak with a supervisor I was advised that someone would call me back, and I have yet to hear back. We received the S8 and it is fine...it was never a problem with the phone itself, it was the customer service that I have the issue with. I feel that the promise of the S9 should have been honored since that is what we expected to get, we had already ordered accessories, and we were not the cause of the claim not being fully processed.

Asurion has sent me an advanced replacement received on Saturday 9/21/19, 8 days after filing a claim for broken glass. I've changed my star rating to a 3 instead of a 1 for the effort made by Tasha, the Asurion rep that handled the exchange. The rep at Asurion told me the reason they have not sent out replacement glass to any of their California service centers, is because they are purchasing their own service locations and are in transition. My phone has been replaced, hopefully by the time I need service again, they will have new walk in service centers available for same day replacement.

In the past this may have been true. I have had a broken iphone fixed with them in the past and went to a local UBreakIFix which is an authorized repair center. Apparently, things have changed. I live in Huntington Beach, middle of Orange County. There are 6 uBreakIfix stores within 11 miles of me, closest is one block away. When I tried to set up my glass replacement the rep at Asurion told me there were no authorized dealers for more than 60 miles from my house.
I asked them to check for the closest city to me that I can go to and walk in to get glass fixed the same day. Guess what! Nothing in Orange county, LA County, San Diego County, Santa Barbara, all the way up to Sacramento.. not one single dealer. Oh, I had them check the whole state of California and there were NO STORES available. I asked, how can this be? They said my ONLY option was for a technician to come to me. I said ok, let's get that scheduled today. NOPE! Their technicians soonest appointment was 5 days away. So, I pay for this insurance that claims same day replacement, but there is no way for them to accommodate that option. I asked why I could not walk into any of the local "Authorized" Repair centers, and they told me it's because they have not shipped the glass replacements to these locations. I called all 6 locations near me and all of them have the glass replacement in stock.
I called Asurion again, and apparently they send their own glass to these shops which is not original factory glass. They even state that once they replace the glass on your phone it will no longer be water resistant. They do not offer same day glass replacement, THEY DO NOT OFFER FACTORY GLASS, THEY ARE FORCING CONSUMERS TO USE THEIR TECHNICIANS AND 5 DAYS IS NOT SAME DAY! It's a SCAM!

Every representative I spoke with was friendly and helpful. Delivery was fast. The only issue I had was that the first phone that was sent would not connect to my carrier. Dropped phone in the road and it was run over several times. Contacted Asurion and made claim. Claim was delayed because my phone a Galaxy S8 Active wasn't available. I had to take S9. Not really an upgrade from S8 which is hardened, waterproof, and actually survived being run over repeatedly. But alas the Wifi side stopped and I need that feature. So 4 not 5 stars for unavailable replacement. The tech experience was excellent. Work on your replacement equipment inventory. And turn around time. I had to contact Asurion after no response to my claim to find out the S8 was unavailable. Your company used to have a 24 to 48 hour turn around. And would reach out when product wasn't available. I received a refurbished iPhone with an unresponsive touch screen, it was returned. I canceled my claim and insurance. For what I paid in monthly insurance fees plus a deductible I could have purchased a refurbished phone directly from Apple for an extra $50.

I had to talk to your department a few times in the steps of replacing a cellphone. Matthew (Matt) was fantastic and needs a raise. I am the parent of a son that is in college in another state and he walked me through step by step while going back and forth between him on one line and my son on another line until we were able to get the phone set up. I did not receive an email with the overnight shipping tracking number. It also actually took 2 days with the claim complete Monday morning and phone received Wednesday night. I gave my part time job delivery address after finishing work at my full time job for the week (Mon. morning), and I just went to the location at the end of the 2nd Day (Wed.) to find that the phone had been delivered.

It was actually my daughter in law who needed the new phone. I owned the account. My d-I-l was elated with the customer service and the timely manner in which the claim was settled. The only issue I had was Asurion at first claimed it was Verizon's responsibility that the phone was not working. They said the opposite. The screen was cracked and flickering. Fortunately, customer service agreed. Had they not, I would have cancelled the insurance on all 3 phones.

I couldn't believe the speed in which my replacement phone arrived. Asurion is very easy to file a claim with. It's all online and it guides you through the process of filing your claim. Pay your deductible and your finished. It took me all of: 15 minutes. The replacement phone looked just like the phone I had purchased before the accident. It's well worth it to have the insurance, if I had to pay out of pocket it would've cost me over $600 dollars. You have insurance on your home and car for peace of mind, shouldn't you experience the same peace of mind with your expensive phone? I know I am.

Honestly everything went pretty smoothly. Only two complaints that kept them from achieving 5 stars. 1. Only offered my replacement in gold. Ugly gold and 2. Apparently they don't do anything on the weekends. So it added an additional 2 days to get my replacement. Other than that, not a bad job.

I was encouraged to go through insurance on my phone by a representative at my local Verizon store. I was encouraged when, on a Sunday, I was told a representative with Asurion would come by that evening with a replacement device and complete the set-up. However, the representative was only allowed to work on my account for 45 mins. Because my original phone was so damaged he wasn't able to complete the set up from old to new phone. I was left to deal with it on my own. After countless calls to Asurion and 5 days I was able to get another replacement phone delivered and with some help from a co-worker was able to complete set-up with old contacts to the new phone. Had I known how much time and work I would have had to put in to get a replacement phone I wouldn't have gone with Insurance.

Tech service response time simply unacceptable. The quickest response to my questions took over five minutes and after forty five minutes, most of which was waiting, I just stopped getting responses altogether. I sat in front of my laptop for over an hour, the last twenty minutes with no response, before giving up! Lost contacts, texts, everything on my drive in the process! Totally unacceptable, terrible tech support. I did receive my replacement phone in a timely manner, but tech support helping me set up my replacement was nothing short of terrible!

While it was a little bit of a challenging experience because I moved the SIM chip to an old phone to get us through a vacation, that by the time I ordered the replacement phone, they sent me the old phone instead of the new one. The teamwork of Verizon to explain the rule and the effort and support by Asurion to get a new phone out immediately, not just to match the newest phone I had, but actually sent a newer model just released.
