Received quick response and got me a phone to replace the phone that was stolen. Very helpful and friendly. New phone came in the mail very quickly and easy instructions to set up the phone. Glad I had the coverage.

Updated on 10/23/2019: It took 4 times to get my phone fixed and now my Siri doesn’t work all of a sudden. And I don’t want a brand new phone. I just wanted my screen fixed. And now my phone's broken again. The tech seemed to be having a hard time fixing my screen too.
Original Review: I’ve had to reschedule 4 times SO FAR because they don’t have screens to fix my phone. But they don’t tell you till the day OF your appt. I’m on my 4th appt to see if they have the screens to fix my phone. No one has any answers as to when the screens will come in or who I can talk to. I’ve called the company 10 times trying to figure that out. I recommend go somewhere else.

Contacted Asurion, representative was helpful in completing claim. She assured me that a replacement phone would arrive in 2 business days. I received the phone in great condition. Had no problems setting up phone everything works perfectly. Thanks for your help.

I broke my phone, paid the $150 insurance deductible and received a replacement phone that had a bad sensor on the screen. Every time I made a call buttons were being pushed, numbers were dialed, and applications were open. I then called Asurion customer care to explain the situation, the lady ran a series of test with me then came to the conclusion the sensor was bad so the screen wasn't blacking out to prevent the unwanted button issue. She then told me I needed to fill out fraud paperwork and send in a photo copy of my identification in order to have a properly working phone sent to me. The paperwork had to be printed by me, filled out then scanned and emailed back to them. A process in which I was not able to do because I did not have access to a printer or a way to scan the documents in order to send them back.
I then called customer care several more times to request they mail the forms to me, which they never did. All the while I was being forced to use a phone I just paid for but wasn't in proper working condition. I called back to speak with a manager in which she told my husband he needed to take the phone to a local Verizon location and they would print the fraud paperwork for him. My husband did so and explained the situation to the customer service associate which had never heard of such a thing. He proceeded to order a new phone for us and we received a properly working phone the very next day thanks to the Verizon representative who helped him.
My rating for Asurion would be zero if I could. It's hard to understand how I pay a monthly fee for insurance on my phone then another fee to have it replaced only to receive a defective phone, then be told I need to fill out fraud paperwork in order to get a working phone. I was forced to use a broken phone because somewhere along the process someone at Asurion failed to do their job by making sure the phone was in working order before sending it out to one of their paying customers. The only fraud I could see was with Asurion mailing out defective equipment after being paid then refusing to replace a broken phone with a working phone to one of their paying customers because of a mistake made by them. The entire process was a disappointment and Asurion should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers by taking money only to give back a bad product then refusing to fix their mistakes.

I lost my iPad Pro and filed a claim with Asurion through my AT&T online account. I would have given AT&T 5 stars except that the Asurion rep I dealt with wasn't able to give me specific details on the replacement iPad; just that it was an refurbished upgrade. Now the good stuff. I will tell you that 1) the AT&T online process to file a claim was easy, not complicated nor time-consuming at all, 2) I received my replacement iPad within 2 days of talking to the rep which was shorter than the standard published timeline, and 3) the iPad was wrapped like it was brand new, and to my surprise it was a much newer, slimmer version of the iPad that I'm very happy with. I will be keeping my monthly protection plan on this new replacement!

The replacement service was quick and easy! The new device was delivered the next day and the return of damaged device is very simple. The overall process only took 2 days and we were up and running again. I would highly recommend Asurion device protection to everyone that has a child on their service

Confusing the process. Representative doesn’t explain clearly. I get my phone after 1 week and half, didn’t know that I need to confirm after 24 hour. They should talk little slow when they are explaining the process, other than that, everything is okay. Thank you, Asurion.

I had to receive two phone before it finally started working right. First phone sound was low and the screen went black. I am sure the phones are refurbished ones, which is not good! So far the current one I have is working fine. Time will tell. But customer service was great.

Phone was sent out an received on time. All questions were answered. Phone tech was very helpful, you get all you need to shop old phone back. I felt that the deductible was high for as much as I am charged each month.

Agent was very pleasant and knowledgeable. My request was handled quickly and with utmost satisfaction. My phone had been damaged. When I received the replacement phone, it worked for a couple of weeks before it went "completely dead". After reporting the defective replacement phone, I was issued a second replacement phone.

Easy process of returning the broken phone. It was also shipped quickly! The only problem I had was turning off the Find my iPhone prior to completing the transaction because the screen was not legible. I had to let it die and then turn it off on my computer.

I went for a run and tripped and my IPHONE shattered. I immediately called Asurion and my iPhone was replaced in two days! Thank you for such a quick response time in replacing my cell phone. However, I shut down my cellphone and but got several emails and messages that told me that I never did so. Frustration was there so I called them directly and the issue was clarified.

I received a replacement device a couple of months ago - this process was very quick since I had to pay the $250 deductible fee. Within 90 days of receiving the replacement device, my screen went black out of nowhere, unresponsive to touch and reset. It's been over a week since I filed the claim and 6 phones calls later, I still do not have a replacement device. Every 2nd phone call I am told my phone is on back-order and the phone calls in between: no response within 24 hours. I finally agreed to the same phone in a different color and was supposed to receive a tracking number, but within an hour they called to say this phone is not available anymore. I am starting to think that since it's still under the 90 day warranty and I will not be charged that they must not place me as a high priority client. I've asked to be compensated for the ~14 days total that I will be without a cell phone, but apparently there is nothing they can do.

A friend was using my phone and dropped it. I filed a claim and Asurion promptly sent a new one. Seemingly great, but after one week, it stopped working. Took it into a store and AT&T said I was sent a defective phone. Asurion makes it nearly impossible to remedy, even if it's their mistake. I rely on my phone for work and they're the ones who messed up (sending out defective phones as replacements for defective phones??). They cannot expedite the process, they refused to expedite shipping. I'm phoneless for a week because of a mistake they made. Mobile insurance is a scam.

I have to believe all the positive reviews are BS. Go take a look at Yelp. I just had the worst experience with Asurion. They make you jump through so many hoops that you eventually give up out of frustration. What a rip-off! Let's see if this review is posted.

There was only one delay, and then they made things right, and overnighted the phone. So everything turned out good in the end. I would recommend them to a friend or anyone else that’s buying a phone. I have had cell phone insurance for approximately 20 years. This is the first time that I have used it and they made the procedure relatively simple.

I left my phone in a groove of my Jeep between front windshield & groove for hood while watering Plants on a very hot NC day for an ailing Sr Citizen in NC & awaiting a few calls. My hubby was unaware my cell was there & took our Jeep to do some grocery shopping a few miles away while I was watering plants on side of house, thus not see his departure with our car. When he returned, I asked him if he had my phone & took it off the front of driver's side before he left & he said, "NO!" We immediately got into our Jeep & retraced his entire route ="NO LUCK!!!" We immediately went to the nearest Verizon Store near Benson, NC & they 1st checked if it had been used once it slid off the Jeep=NOT USED YET at that time. Thanks to the Cell Phone Insurance we had purchased we were able to replace my valuable cell phone & all its data when we returned.
We did have to pay a fee for new phone as per our Insurance Agreement we had purchased less than a year before! The NC:Verizon Store ordered a new phone(same model) to be sent to my home in Neptune, NJ & as we returned to our home 3 days later; my mailman handed me the package with an exact replica of my "lost phone" & I dashed to my Ocean Township, NJ Verizon Store to have ALL MY DESPERATELY NEEDED DATA, PHONE #'s, etc stored in my "LOST PHONE". I WAS SO GLAD I HAD QUALITY INSURANCE WITH MY VALUABLE PHONE as I had several elderly relatives & friends that happened to have medical issues in US & Europe, that my cell phone was my & their lifeline to help them with calling nurses/doctors/families. I can only praise the Insurance Co & Verizon Stores in Benson, NC & Ocean Township, NJ for assisting me to get such Great 5*Service!

My phone screen cracked 3 days after I purchased it.. lol..just my luck! I called Asurion to file an insurance claim. I received my new phone the next day. However that phone didn’t work. So I called again to file another claim. I then received a new phone the following day. It was to my satisfaction. Asurion made sure I was happy with my product. Despite everything I went through, they made the process fast and easy. I would definitely use them again.

My Verizon phone was warranted by Asurion so when it went out I paid $149 and received a refurbished Droid Moto Z phone which had problems of its own. So I sent it back and they sent me another Moto Z refurbished phone which after 2 months the audio started getting static and got worse and worse, so they said they would send me a Samsung phone which I have waited for over a week on backorder. I just called them today, (October 15, 2019) and now they say it will take up to 14 more days on back order but they can't really guarantee that. They did offer me another type of phone which I assumed would be another refurbished low grade phone so I said I would wait for the Samsung to arrive. I am very disappointed in this company. I feel that I've already waited too long!

I am so happy for having this insurance on my phone. I still have a payment of $168 dollars added to my phone it was high did not have it but I had to have my phone it is not no telling what it would have been if I didn't have the insurance they y'all so much for offering it.

Although it took a whole day for my replacement phone to do the updates once I called the service center my representative was quick and helpful. It took 2 minutes to get my phone switched over. Thanks AT&T. I would recommended their service again. And my replacement came the next day which was extremely fast.

Here I go again with the runaround trying to get a replacement phone for a malfunctioning refurb from these guys, after I was promised that I wouldn't go through the horror show that happened last time, and staff agreed that malfunctioning replacement under a year is a free replacement, still no email confirmation but service request says I must purchase replacement. Same as last time when it took over a month of run around, lies saying it had been shipped twice, multiple times waiting for a promised email resolution within 24 hrs that never came, 14plus hours on hold and being transferred everywhere providing all tbe same resolution. Only reason I stayed was the final employee and heartfelt apologies as well as an upgrade and a visa gift card for my nightmare, but nowhere I go again the service used to be amazing.
Also made another complaint online and received apologies as well as asking for phone number to have someone call, I may have been trolled as I was informed my phone had shipped and was being charged 800 plus 200 shipping and then into disgusting profanities about my deceased wife etc, so people beware of tom who claimed to work for Asurion with a California number.

Received replacement in 1 day after I was able to connect with the team because my device was completely non-operational. No complaints. I would however suggest Asurion provide clients with the option to upgrade to at least a phone which is currently being sold. Doesn't have to be the NEWEST model, however an upgrade choice would be nice. I have 6S & a choice to move to an 8 or 10 would have been work a few more dollars.

Exchange of damaged phone to a new phone went smoothly and expediently. Personable customer service rep. was knowledgeable and friendly. On 9/3/19 my iphone was replaced via the Asurion insurance program. It was replaced ON THE SAME day as the claim was filed, which was very convenient. On 10/3/19, my phone displayed "searching" or "no service". I contacted the carrier and they performed a number of tests resulting in the device recognizing the service. On 10/14/19, the same thing occurred. I phoned the carrier again and after being on hold, walking through the troubleshooting, etc, including resetting the device, it was determined it was the device.
I was transferred to Asurion where a rep told me that they could not replace the phone that day, but I would need to wait until the next day, whereby it would be delivered sometime between 8AM - 7PM. I asked why it couldn't be delivered the same day, since that was the service provided and the replacement was due to a FAULTY device they provided. I was told that there were no appointments available and there was nothing they could do.
I was actually told by a supervisor that they had solved my problem for me. Solving the problem would be having a WORKING phone in my hand. NOT one ordered. I have wasted the better part of a day trying to get this resolved. In addition, I operate a business and was UNABLE to access any info on my phone as it was reset. In short, it was a paperweight. Asurion should have had the capability to provide better service in situations whereby the replacement device malfunctions and is still under warranty, particularly within such a short time frame.

The only frustrating issue was online. Sometimes multiple issue are the problem but it’s not permitted to be described online. My son's phone which started overheating finally shut down permanently. So, on my son's way home from the bus stop the phone fell out of my son's bag and the screen shattered. He was trying to get it turned back on as he hadn’t been able to power on because it had finally quit. Simply put, I think the website should be able to log multiple issues but also be able to explain that, in this case, the phone wasn’t broken because of the shattered glass, it was broken due to overheating issues.

Everything went very well. What they said would happen, actually happened. The girl who helped us activate the phone was wonderful and stayed with us on the phone until the activation was complete. Geo, the tech that came to repair the cracked screen was also wonderful. Nice experience. :)

Called them to make a claim to get my phone screen replaced, was told that there were no stores in my location that had parts. But I was just at the store and they said they have the part and the person I talked to from Asurion just said it must be a delay in the system and that I can wait for it to pop up in their system or I’m out of luck and have to spend more to replace the whole phone even though it’s just the screen, Ridiculous customer service not professional at all and lots of rude remarks were made. My iPhone X broke a few months ago so I went to Bell and they told me to go through this company. I will never do that again. They made this process so long and complicated. I was without a phone for a month until they finally sent me my replacement. Charged me $300 and I didn’t get a new phone like they advertised. In their terms and conditions they state it can be new or refurbished. I got unfortunately a refurbished phone which the battery didn’t work on it. Wouldn’t last more than 5 hours. I called them back after a week and they transferred me over to another number and the call dropped. Said the number was no longer in service.
Went back to Bell and they said they couldn’t do anything because they’re not connected. They helped me call again and same thing happened. The phone call dropped. So I gave up. I learned to deal with the faulty battery and figured once I had money to spend on my phone again, I will buy a new battery. Then the screen stopped working months after, right after apparently my warranty ended. I called them and their stories didn’t line up, they told me I was wrong, and they didn’t take ownership for their faults. I ended up deciding I wouldn’t go through them again and bought a new iPhone from Bell. Don’t use their service, they have poor customer service, and clearly don’t check their refurbished phones for their faults. They just want your money.

Approximately a hour after making an online claim, I spoke to a representative who canceled the replacement yet I didn’t receive confirmation. A day later, I spoke with a representative who couldn’t confirm anything one way or the other. I was told to wait till the next billing cycle and request a refund if there’s a charge.

I have insurance through Verizon for my iPhone. Because I was having issues with the battery I requested a replacement. I am now on my 4th replacement phone and this one needs to be returned as well. Each one is worst than the last. Some have had significant battery issues, one did not work at all, and my latest phone won’t support fingerprint ID. There is clearly no quality control or inspection of the “refurbished” phones. I can see there being 1 phone that slipped through the cracks but not 4 consecutive phones. Do not buy this insurance as it is simply not worth the money paid.

I own a Verizon MiFi. I had dropped the thing so many times the screen was cracked and the back would not stayed on without a rubber band on it. Finally the screen got so bad I couldn't read it. For basically $10 I got to get a new/refurbished device that worked great. My only problem was when Verizon told me to swap it out I had some problems with other devices connecting. Because the screen was cracked it was impossible to read the settings on the MiFi. Asurion was great Verizon not so much so. Thanks!

I purchased the loss and theft insurance from this company for the iPhone 11 Pro Max but when I lost my phone they would not honor the statement. The phone was lost on the 7th of October. I went into the Apple store where they say they could see that the find my iPhone feature was on at 10:38 pm on the 8th of October. When I went to fill the claim Asurion says that they could not see that it was turned on so they would not honor the claim. So even though I have proof from Apple since they can't see it in Asurion's system they won't do anything. All I can do to escalate the situation is write a letter to their home office. So I am supposed to go weeks without a phone and not even know if the get the info. Horrible customer service and a complete lie to their customers.

Worst Experience ever. In short, tech used wrong SIM card so the new phone was inactive. Phone overheated and stopped working. Called the help # and got AT&T selling line multiple times. Finally got a hold of the correct number, and then 2nd new phone was dead.

I bought Wireless Phone Protection for $6.75 / month. It advertises: "We'll come to you or bring your device to an Asurion certified repair facility location." But per the website the only "UBreakIFix" locations available are 15 miles outside of NYC. No mail in option available (because given my address I am "not eligible"--but there would be if I lived elsewhere?!?) nor would local NYC branch of "UBreakIFix" nearest me cover the cracked screen repair. After 45 minutes on the phone I was referred to the CEO's office and spoke with Lacreatia who represents CEO TonY Detter. She was unable to provide a list of local Assurion authorized repair shops. I am cancelling the insurance and requesting a refund of all premiums paid as this insurance was sold under false pretenses.

Daughter dropped her phone and busted glass on both sides and two days later my other daughter lost her phone while out. Claim was easier to fill out than expected and shipment was quick. Never used the insurance but sure glad we have it!!!

I purchased a Defender Security Camera from Walmart and got the 4 year warranty. 2 years in I had problems and filed a claim. Asurion sent a return label and I sent the camera in. A few days later I received a phone call that the camera was full of bus and it was a biohazard for them to work on it. I requested a repair, refund or a new unit. Asurion said NO and that they were shipping it back to me. I received the package back and there were no bugs to be found. I spent an hour on the phone with Walmart Customer Service and they agreed to refund the purchase price of the camera. Asurion has good insurance unless you ever file a claim.

This company just loves to screw you over. I had issues with them YEARS ago when replacing an Samsung Android phone and their crummy re-manufactured phones and swore to myself I'd never use them again. Recently my iPhone XS MAX was destroyed and the clerk at Verizon assured me that Asurion has changed over the years and has become much better. WRONG! Got my replacement device after paying a nice $250 deductible and come to find out it is once again a crummy re-manufactured and practically fake iPhone. Lots of cheap plastic parts and much lighter than my actual iPhone when put on a scale side-by-side. Absolutely ridiculous that we pay this insane deductible then get shipped garbage, only to continue paying the phone company for the genuine phone we got in the first place.

Phone came within a day. Did not have the original phone because it was back ordered but all fine. Would recommend Asurion insurance if you have a phone. They were very helpful and really didn't have to do anything. Just file claim online.

Agents were very helpful. First call to them, the person I was speaking with told me to check with my provider and what to tell them to check my warranty first. My cell phone got ruined when water spilled on it. I was so happy that I had Asurion insurance coverage. A new phone arrived in the mail the next day -- and I was impressed with how easy and efficient the entire process was. The only issue was that I could not access instructions to activate the new phone -- but my Verizon dealer provided the assistance I needed. New phone was delivered quickly, but unfortunately the delivery never reach my daughter. She was notified that the phone was delivered her apartment, but it was nowhere to be found. Asurion sent a new phone to a new secure address and she did get the phone. Why don't you have someone sign for the phone?

I did not have a good experience with my phone replacement. I’d put in my claim on a Saturday. By Tuesday I’d heard nothing and when I tried to check my claim status online as directed multiple times, I could not check the status online. I called the number and was told my claim was canceled for an unknown reason. Then, after I’d provided everything multiple times over, I still did not have a completed claim. I still was directed via email to go online and complete my claim. Though I’d followed all instructions and prompts, it still did not work and I had to call....again. The whole process was inconvenient and stressful. My suggestion is to develop your website to actually work the way it is claimed that it works. On a side note...each time I called, though irritating that I had to keep calling, the people I spoke with were polite and professional.

Asurion promised me a new phone in 2 days. Not approved nor shipped by day three! Asurion phone system does not allow me to speak to their people at all. The system makes me enter my phone number and knows this is a follow-up call. It just tells me it's in review (3 days?) and refers me to their website so I can leave this comment. Still hoping for a quick response?

Please note. This phone must have been refurbished as it doesn't work properly. As I'm making a call it turns off at times. I was using the hp's and it keep turning off. I had to reset it several times. It keeps putting a message asking to approve touch phone or screen. It also had a small crack screen. Is getting bigger with time. I stop at Verizon station I was ask to contact you.

Everything went well and happy with my experience with Asurion. The only thing that went wrong is FedEx delivered my phone to the wrong house, I was able to get my phone then same day but the FedEx guy who delivered my phone never apologized or even came to the door to give me my phone, just dropped it off at house and left.

This experience was outstanding. My teenage son went on a trip out of state with some friends for the weekend and his phone was stolen while he was at a waterpark. It was distressing for him to be without his phone, and for me to not be able to reach him. I submitted a claim online the next day (Monday) as we waited for it to maybe show up before he left to come home. We had the phone by Tuesday afternoon. I have literally had the worst experience with this company. Want your phone screen fixed? Sure! All you have to do is a 99$ and get downgraded 2 generations and no one tells you, and if you have a problem we can’t help you because there is literally no one to talk to. I’ve emailed them, call the customer service number, even had Verizon try to help me. ASURION SCREWED ME AND I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I’m never using this service anymore, I get better service waiting in a McDonald’s drive-through line and they are known for spitting your food. I’d rather do that than go through Asurion again.

Everything was good except they forgot to send a return box and a sim card with my replacement device. Phone is perfect so far. I'll follow up when I receive my sim card and send my old phone back to AT&T. Now the customer service agent was absolutely astounding. I gotta say A+++.

Replaced iPad Mini due to broken screen. Process was easy and the replacement showed up in a reasonable time. Still had minor issues with SIM card but AT&T store took care of that. Overall we are pleased with the process and the end result.
