They were great. Once the form was filled out and submitted I had a replacement phone the next day. Plus it was a newer phone than what I had. Will definitely keep insurance on all our phones. It is very well worth the cost.

I got my phone within a day as Asurion promised, and I was able to get my replacement phone working within an hour. Even with the broken screen on the original phone, I was able to fully back it up and use my new phone as if it was the original. Very pleased with the service. They even allowed 10 business days for me to return the old device.

As far as I know, as of this moment in time, everything is great! The ease with which the claim on the iPhone 8 Plus was great and everything is wonderful! The rep that helped me with the insurance claim for the phone was the best! Thanks for a great experience. As far as I know, the phone is fine!

The AT&T store restored my old to the new. Very nice to work with. But now with Holidays I have to wait to return old phone. My new IPhone is working great. I have 10 days and out of town for Holiday. Will return when I get back home. Thanks.

Everything was handle quickly and efficiently without me requiring to call into customer service or waiting to speak to a operator. Everything was handled within 48 hours!!! I was able to receive my phone in less than 2 days and it was around Christmas too!

Asurion made it very easy to return the device. Putting in the claim was a pain as the device's screen wouldn't allow us to turn off location etc. This should always be mentioned every time cell phones are being sold. But otherwise, sending and receiving was great!

Dallas' phone quit. Local A T & T store was very helpful in getting a new one, even in this Holiday busy season. The clerk reprogrammed the new phone and it has been functioning well. We live in a rural area and still did not have trouble receiving the new phone.

I purchased Asurion insurance for my cell phone. The phone got a crack and I couldn't press the buttons so I called it in. First they charged me a few hundred dollars to get a replacement. I was in the midst of a move and during the move I lost the phone. I called Asurion when I got the return envelope to let them know. They said not to worry - send it if I found it. Otherwise loss was also covered. Subsequently a charge for almost $550.00 was on my Sprint bill. I called Sprint many times but they said it was up to Asurion. I contacted Asurion by phone multiple times - as well as online - and first they refused to remove the charge. (After disconnecting me three times when I asked to speak to a Supervisor). They promised follow up but nothing. Sprint then said, so my phone wouldn't get disconnected, to request a few week payment plan for that additional amount so Asurion could take it off my bill.
Further efforts to get Asurion to respond were unsuccessful so it was automatically billed. I plan to take them to small claims court because the contract says it covers both loss and damage - and I already paid the fee to replace the phone. Extremely frustrating trying to get a person on the phone. When you ask for a supervisor, you get cut off. I spent almost three hours one day being sent from department to department - and asked to call back and press different numbers to finally get to the department that handles returns. They then kept me on hold for an hour - I just stayed on the phone. The guy was very surprised that I didn't disconnect. Then he told me he'd get a Supervisor and transfer me, but then it was disconnected again. These guys are crooks. It reflects terribly on Sprint for working with them.

Satisfied with the replacement of the device and didn’t mind having to receive the request to send documents and photo ID after I identified myself with password and questions to verify who I am however I am very disappointed with insurance being canceled due to previous claim on 01/02/19. And being told I could wait a few weeks to file the claim to avoid cancellation of insurance. That’s why I purchased insurance in the first place because these phone screens break easily no matter what kind of protector you use. You didn’t return any premium when I had no claims in a year and I’ve paid this insurance premium for years. I’m not feeling valued as a customer.

Did not expect to receive a refurbished phone. Was under the impression that after the deductible, I would receive a brand new phone. Will go back and read through the fine print to verify your terms and conditions. Other than that, the speed in which my replacement device arrived was exceptional since the day I submitted was Christmas Eve.

Pathetic? Ridiculous? Let's just say terrible. Hassles, delays, and repititious requests for information requiring numerous calls and emails, and wasting hours of time. The only initial replacement option was a lesser value smartwatch that was out-of-stock. Later, inexplicably, a different lesser value watch was offered without adjustment for value. Dishonest, disingenuous, and disgusting. I promptly cancelled.

The replacement phone was shipped by FedEx, which is the worst parcel handling company. I received an attempted delivery notification stating no one was home. I was home. I was waiting for the package. FedEx was not on my street that day. Same thing happened last year with another replacement phone. Fed Ex is horrible.

Makes me wonder if I should even pay for insurance!!

I have been paying insurance on my phone for years in case the phone gets accidentally damaged. Never had to file a claim till today. My phone dropped off my bed and the screen is cracked. The deductible for a screen repair is $29. Asurion says because there is not a technician within 60 miles of me, the only options are to send the phone in and be without for a week which I can't do, or pay the price of a replacement phone of $200. Just spent the whole afternoon trying to get them to honor the insurance I've paid for all these years. They just want more money out of me. What a scam.

We will offer to mail you a return slip in order to send it in. We do understand this may not be the most convenient. However, you do have the option of having a replacement sent to you within 1-2 business days, however, that will be at the cost of the deductible. Fast and accurate - especially for having issues during the holidays. Had minor issues with switching info from phone to phone online, went in to carrier, still was not resolved but sent home with instructions that worked after a number of hours. Problem with volume on phone speaker resolved after reboot.

I called to try to extend my date to return the phone that you replaced through insurance because the ONLY AT&T/Apple dealer in our town's technician won’t be in to work until the end of next week. I want them to help me get my photos off of my device BEFORE I mail back my broken phone. I was given another number to call and there was no answer. So I can’t return the broken phone until I have help getting my pictures off. I don’t want to be charged for my insurance replacement phone because it will be returned a little late.

Very prompt in getting me my replacement phone. Everything I needed. When I was done restoring my replacement phone. I put my old phone in the box (box provided), Taped it close (tape provided), Used New Shipping Label (label provide). I just had to drop it off at the post office. It really can't get any easier than that. And on top of all that, if you don't know how to set up the phone. they provide Tech Support to walk you through it. I give their service a 10++.

I put in a claim on my son's cracked tablet on the afternoon before Christmas Eve and received the replacement the following day around noon. That is less than a day and on Christmas Eve no less. Set up was a breeze also. Definitely made the months of paying for insurance worth it. We also had a discounted deductible as promised. Great service!

Thank goodness for this insurance! I would have never expected my phone to be stolen at Houston Hobby airport in the TSA pre-check area. Fast and Easy claim process. Phone was quickly replaced with a like for like replacement. Highly recommend this insurance company.

Claim was easy to file. Replacement phone arrived in two days. The deductible was more than expected. AT&T had told us the plan had a $50 deductible. I was charged $112. The ProTech service person who called to help with the setup was told there was not a current backup. Rather advising a backup be made and rescheduling the appointment he proceeded. He ended up locking the old phone up so data could not be retrieved. Even Apple cannot unlock the phone.

Received my phone quickly after the 2nd attempt to place a claim. Initial attempt was very complicated needing to fax information, etc. I gave up! A few months went by & my phone was getting to where the touch screen was being effected by the crack so I attempted again! Much easier process & phone came within 2 days! Thank you!!

Wasn’t happy when I told them the screen cracked and camera wasn’t working on ft... They came fixed glass and told me the camera would work once screen was fixed! It wasn’t! Then after a few calls. They decided to send me a new phone! They were great! Sent me a new phone!

The delivery of the product was fast. I made the claim on Saturday and received my device on Monday. My phone was packaged neatly with all needed accessories. Asurion support was great, very timely, etc. However, the AT&T website to activate a replacement device was confusing and I ultimately had to contact Asurion to get it done and the Asurion rep was very professional and helpful. Was using a new SIM card.

Our claim was for a cracked screen and we asked for the technician to come to our house to repair it. The technician arrived on time and did the work. However he didn’t come prepared to deal with a malfunctioning or defective screen that he was given. I think they should have at least two give. Regardless, he could not complete the work and had to close the claim and ask us to call and have a new phone Sent to us. We called and requested the phone be sent but they said it would be 1 to 2 business day. It was after 5 pm Est on the 23rd so it was more likely it would arrive the day after Christmas which was concerning. Fortunately the phone arrived via FedEx on the 24th. We were able to make the necessary changes for her to have a phone.

I filed an insurance claim on a Samsung Note 9 and there was an issue replacing the device with AT&T and we could not figure out what the issue was so I Asurion Representative called AT&T on a conference call and make sure that the issue was taken care of before we were off the phone. The phone call lasted over 2 1/2 hours but the representative was dedicated to making sure I was happy.

Customer service was great. I am very pleased with there service. The insurance is worth having. They did a very great job delivering it and making sure everything worked. I love my phone but I do think that the deductible is high when all you gonna do is fix it and turnaround and sell it again for something I could have fixed.

The replacement phone was shipped on the day of or the day after the claim was submitted. The replacement phone arrived as scheduled. The phone team was great in setting up the new SIM card. The restore process took a couple of tries likely due to restore size (10 G).

A new SIM card was not included in the new iPad, so I had to go to a retail store to get a new one set up. Also, when I called customer service, it took me 3 transfers to get to the right person to find out that no SIM card was included.

On Tuesday November 17th I received a replacement telephone. That replacement telephone will not text out. People cannot receive my texts. I called on Wednesday. They sent me a second phone. That phone also did not text out. I travel to New Orleans on Christmas holiday to visit my family. I received the third phone Christmas Eve. That phone does not text out.
Now customer service wants me to return all the phones even the one I'm using and leave me without a phone until they can figure out what they're doing wrong. They actually want to leave me without any form of communication through the holidays and I'm traveling to Santiago Chile for New Year's. That was their only suggestion to help me. They will not send me any other phones nor will they give me a new phone on a local basis from a Metro dealer. Desmond was one of the supervisors and Monroe was the lady I spoke to today. Neither of them help me. They left me without a phone without any regard for me as a customer.

I went to the ATT store on 76th Street in Greenfield Wisconsin. They helped me fill out my claim. The next morning my replacement phone was delivered to my residence. I called Asurion to replace my daughter's iPhone 8 Plus. They said they processed the claim and to look for a text to confirm or decline the claim.. I did not decline the message. They said their company's system had an error and that I could not file the claim for another 24 hours... So, I pay for insurance for all my phones, I call to place a claim and because your system had an error, I won't have a new phone in time for my daughter to travel.. You sent me back and forth from one department to another for over an hour.
I called Apple Care and just by chance she still had it.. They not only replaced her phone in 24 hours, but they also gave her a "new", NOT refurbished phone... Apple care is $5.16 a month and Asurion is $10.. Apple care gives me a new phone for $150.. Asurion gives me a refurbished iPhone with 1 year warranty for $149... Need I say more... Asurion you have always been the worst and you continue to disappoint.. All my phones are on Apple care now... I suggest the same for everyone; less than 15 minutes with Apple care and I have a new phone..

I filed a claim for a phone that was not working, and when the replacement phone came, I no longer needed it, so I returned it as instructed. Since the beginning of November I was told I would see a refund. My last bill had the charge of $150 and I had to pay it although I returned the phone. I still have not received a refund.

My wife bought a basketball hoop for my son with a 5 year manufacturer's warranty. She paid for a two year extended plan. A little over 5 years goes by and the backboard falls off. Amazingly my wife has the receipt and paperwork. Asurion says "you're out of luck." The two years started when you bought it. I say that doesn't make sense, this is a texbook example of what they're selling. They say that since the manufacturer's warranty didn't include "labor", their warranty started at purchase. Who pays labor on a basketball hoop? It doesn't make sense, but that's their position? Stinks for the kid, but reinforces my believe to never, ever, ever buy one of these extended warranties. It's an idiotic purchase. You've probably got a better chance of winning the lottery than finding a situation where they actually pay. Without making the consumer go through hoops. And a lottery ticket is a lot cheaper, right?

I am hard on phones and have three kids. So I have had a multitude of replacement claims with Asurion. In my 10+ claims I only had 1 favorable experience and that was years ago. Almost every single claim I filed was denied on the first try and then eventually accepted. They have sent me non-working phones on three separate occasions. The last time they said they would mail a phone out the next day. A week later they sent me a phone that was not working 100% and they essentially told me to deal with it.
This company exists to take your money not help you. Yes, every business exists to make money but most of them provide you some level of service. There is zero customer service, if you call the number they direct you to online. In one experience they sent me an email that said I had to call them. After calling the number and manually entering in all the information, I got an automated message to that said to check online. After logging in online they gave me a DIFFERENT number to call. If that is not giving someone the runaround, I don't know what is. Verizon should be ashamed to have tethered themselves to this company. I sincerely encourage EVERYONE to do a little research because there is a multitude of alternatives that are so much better.

I have had nothing but AWFUL experiences with this company. I had to report them to the Better Business Bureau before they would uphold their promise to me. This company erroneously sent me to collections with AT&T and would not work with me, answer my questions, or talk to me. I dealt with 4 different people over there and 3 of them were less than helpful and one was flat-out rude. I could not imagine ever dealing with these people again. When choosing mobile carriers, I specifically look for companies that DO NOT work with Asurion.

The Assurance Agents were helpful and were very Professional and Pleasant. My problem is I am disabled the last two years. My husband is the only working now and I have applied with an attorney after being turned down. I miss working and it really hurt us we had to practically give away my home after Harvey. I bought insurance on the phone but I am unhappy to over 112.00 for the phone. We pay 325.00 a month on our phone. I believe that’s a lot to charge me on the deductible. If it had 50.00 I would not complain. And next bill will be over 400.00. I even ask if you could split it but was told "No". Have to pay the whole thing. I'm disappointed in that I pay insurance and my medical deductible is 30.00 and car insurance is less than 100.00. I am not exactly sure is the deductible but I know it's to that price. The staff was professional, but the first time I called to report the lost of our iPad, the person never submitted the claim. After three weeks and never received any e-mailS or the IPad as stated by the person, I called back and the person was able to complete everything fast since all the information was there from my previous call. $29 for a cracked screen turned into $179 dollars. I opted for the Total Mobile Protection through Verizon. This includes unlimited cracked screen repair for $29 each claim. But there’s something that they DON'T tell you. I happened to crack my screen, so of course I submitted my claim and scheduled an appointment for a tech to come and replace my screen.
The tech arrived the very next day, which was very convenient, and proceeded to inspect my phone. I have an iPhone Xs and my screen was very lightly cracked near the very top near my front camera lens. The rest of my screen is pretty much intact and my phone works perfectly, except Face ID, because, of course, the crack. The tech proceeded to tell me because Face ID was not functioning properly, he would be unable to replace my screen and I would have to contact customer service. I was upset, but I figured they would help me figure everything out, so I thanked the tech, he left, and I contacted customer service.
They then told me that yes, the tech was in fact correct and that my entire phone would have to be replaced for the price of $179. I was understandably upset. Nowhere in my terms and conditions does it say anything about where the crack in your screen needs to be in order to fix it. I’m sure plenty of people have cracked their screen in the same area and have been hit with this same $179 surprise. I don’t think that’s fair at all and I definitely feel that this technicality should be made aware to the customer; at the very least in the terms and conditions.
I spoke to someone higher up in management and she explained to me that because the phone is under a 12 month warranty after my screen is repaired, if I were to claim my Face ID was still not working, they would have to give me a new phone free of charge. I understand where they’re coming from, but if that’s the case, then don’t mislead people into thinking that they’re really only going to pay $29 for a screen crack when in fact, it’s more likely that they won’t. The probability of that particular part of the screen NOT being affected at all is VERY low. And the tech even told me that this problem is VERY common. So more often than not, people who are submitting these claims are being presented with this problem and it’s a real shame we’re paying all this money to be tricked this way. Definitely opting out of this company.

The service was great! The new cellphone arrived earlier than I had expected. My Samsung 7 was replaced with a new Samsung 9. It was easy to pack up my unusable cell phone and return it. Just put it into box and put mailing label on then drop it into a mail box.

My replacement and restoration of all files was quickly addressed by A T & T personnel. Maybe, a total of 25 minutes to bring my new phone up to date. During evaluation of my damaged cell phone and the placing of the order For a new phone, the different people came to help complete all details. Each person had a positive attitude about helping me.

I purchased an Asurion warranty at the same time I purchased the item on Amazon who is clearly complicit with the Asurion. Asurion provides an email which clearly indicates that coverage begins on the day of purchase and extends for 48 months. When I tried to submit a claim nine months later I was told to call the manufacturer. They wanted an amount equal to one-third the cost of the purchase price to make a warranty repair.

The representative was very helpful and knowledgeable! He was very patient as we were very stressed. He walked us through setting up our replacement phone step by step and answered all our questions. Everything was so easy! I submitted my claim at 6 pm Friday and received the new one literally 10 hours later!! The instructions were clear and concise and it was so convenient having the return slip, biz, and even tape to send the package back.

My phone messed up and I had to turn it in on insurance. I opted to have it mailed to me, but apparently you can have someone bring you one immediately. They were fast and I had a phone again in no time.

The replacement phone came the next as promised. On another occasion I had a cracked screen and the cost was cheap and fair!!! The agent that helped me was very knowledgeable about what I needed and got me the help I needed.

Filing the claim was relatively easy on-line. The replacement phone arrived only 2 days later. It took a while to load the 13.3 software-but the assistance over the phone was excellent. The package allowed for the damaged phone to be boxed and mailed in in very short order.

Updated on 01/16/2020: Went to the Verizon store with a cracked screen and was told no problem. Just go online and fill out the information to get screen replacement for $29. Filled out all the information and was told my only option was to have the phone replaced for $199. I wrote a review over a month ago sharing my experience. A Asurion representative said he'd be glad to look into it so I gave him the information he requested. Haven't heard back and it's been over two weeks. Guessing he was fired or quit. The short of it is don't waste your money on the phone insurance. If you do the math it's so not worth it especially if company handling the insurance just takes your money and doesn't fix your phone. Ham and egg company.
Updated on 12/26/2019: I had a terrible experience with Asurion about fixing a cracked screen my phone. Don't anticipate them fixing your cracked screen for $29. My only option was a replacement phone for $199 even though I only had a cracked screen. A representative from the company responded that they would look into it. My response was please do and I've heard nothing. Better off skipping the insurance. You're going to have to pay for the screen replacement out of pocket anyway.
Original Review: I went to the Verizon store because had dropped my phone and the screen had cracked. The customer service representative handed me the pamphlet for phone repair and said to call the number to make an appointment for a tech to repair the screen. The cost would be $29 because I have the insurance. I filled out the claim form online as I was instructed stating that the only damage to the phone was a cracked screen and It appeared that they were going to send me a new phone. I called to straighten this out and was told the only option I had was to replace my phone for $199. The option to replace the screen was not offered. I then called Verizon to cancel the bogus insurance on all six phones. A person would have to be an idiot to purchase insurance on their phone using these scammers. I'm guessing the positive reviews are made up. Just hoping I can save other people from wasting their money.

Had an appointment scheduled to get an iPhone 8+ screen replacement but had technician call me saying that he couldn't replace my screen due to him not having the parts. I then call Asurion and explained what happened and instead of getting my screen replaced, they sent me a new phone to replace my old one.

I was treated with dignity and respect by Yea who also made me feel welcomed and valued. I was warmly and richly treated from the very start of our interaction. Her instinct on what options to provide alongside her knowledge of my concerns was most efficacious. My replacement and my sincerest efficacious and indebtedness thanks are all to Yea (Please forgive if I've misspelled Yea's name). The one and only experience I've ever had was enough to convince me that I'd go to whichever location she is at, although that most likely won't be doable for me because they are going places!

I received my replacement phone the next day. I called in to setup and my Google backed up my phone within minutes. Although, my screensaver and ringtones did not save in the setting everything was back to normal quickly. Appreciate it.

It originally started with my iPhone XS max falling off the stairs and being damaged. I was still thankful that at least I had a protection plan. I filled the online forms correctly (I have screenshots) and after 5 days when the phone did come it was an iPhone xs. I called the customer service in regards to this and the agents there are themselves confused, first day I called the agent told me he'll issue a report and send in the correct phone and then I can send in both of these phones that I have. After waiting for 3 days I called back and then they told me I have to send the xs back first and then ask for a refund. After all that I have to apply again for a XS max. What should have been a 3 day thing had turned into almost a month of calling Asurion even though NONE OF THIS IS MY FAULT. The worst experience indeed.

Initially I wasn’t satisfied, because the first replacement phone wasn’t corrected to allow the AT&T representative to transfer my information/apps from my old phone to the replacement phone. I had to contact Asurion claims office again to request another phone, Also, I had to make another trip to the United States Postal Service twice to return the phones. My replacement phone is working great. But, I have to go to the Apple store, because the Find My app, which is used to locate my phone would not let me update the app. Also, the money I have to pay for the replacement phone is a lot, $112.00, which will be added to my next bill. I would like for the insurance carrier to make sure all replacement phones are corrected and ready to use prior to shipping to the consumer.

I filled out the claim in the morning and by the following afternoon the replacement was here. I was billed for the deductible which was only 100, a far cry from the 800 price tag for a new phone. Ten minutes on the phone with AT&T to get all my info back. Easiest process ever. It made having lost my phone not so bad. Thank you!
