    Run far away from this insurance company as you can. They aren't trustworthy and are all about nickeling and diming you, finding any reason not to process your claims. I have the DirecTV Premier Protection insurance plan and I had a Samsung TV remote control that went faulty and under my terms and conditions, it clearly states OEM remote controls are covered for repairs or replacement. So when I went to open a claim the insurance rep stated they don't cover remote controls anymore and that Asurion somehow magically just changed the T&C without any customer notifications.

    I explained to him that it was clearly stated in the T&C that remote controls are covered but then he pointed to a small one line in there that says "We can modify these terms at any time." But never got any notification or mail that they changed their T&C to not cover remotes anymore. Also the T&C that is on my Asurion account still shows that remote controls are covered. They use that one small line for a cop-out and can use it anytime to get out of not covering your claim... Very SHADY and GREEDY company!!

    I've been trying to submit my claim and receive my replacement phone for 4 days now. Initially I was able to complete my claim and get a phone shipped, but UPS "attempted delivery" and within the same day that I was supposed to receive the phone, UPS had the phone halfway back to the sender! I had no notification that ANY delivery attempts had been made, and I was home all day. Since then I have been on the phone with 4 other agents, and on hold for better part of an hour on just one call. I even called my bank to see if there were any issues on that side, and there were none. Asurion had returned the payment each time. No one can explain to me why that is happening, and get me a new phone. This is ridiculous!

I was contacted by tech and said that they would be on the way to our home between 5-7pm. At 5pm we received a phone call from Asurion explaining that the tech had car troubles and would not make our meeting. I asked if there could be another way to receive new phone that evening, he replied no, that I would have to cancel and reapply for new appointment, or he could just mail out the new phone. So I accepted them to mail new phone. It did arrive the next day but. But very disappointed why there is no back up plan if a tech’s vehicle breaks down and that’s it. Seemed that the times are that way anymore across the board as far as customer service....

    Replacing the phone with Asurion went really easy. Dealing with Verizon is unbelievable. It took 6 days before Verizon could help me. It was an Apple phone but Verizon is carrier and neither of them could do anything and blaming each other. Thank God this is my daughter's phone and not mine.     Overall I had an okay experience, but I got frustrated because I got transferred from one person to another and had to repeat myself over and over. But my main complaint is I made an error when I first submitted to claim because I said the device was available to be returned. However, that is not the case. When I called back to correct the information, I talked to probably four different people, was on hold FOREVER in between people, and am still getting phone calls and texts saying I must return the defective device. I CAN'T do that because it is not available!

    Okay, let’s start off with the 1st step. Signing up for insurance for your device. The misleading “pay $29 to have your broken screen replaced.” They don’t disclose their absurd stipulations because then you wouldn’t waste your money on the chance your device was damaged to their perfect specifications. If you have a blemish anywhere else on your device that doesn’t bother you, it bothers them. So they choose (funny how it’s not your choice even though you pay for their coverage every month) to only allow a full device replacement. Not everyone wants to fork over $199 to replace a phone that only *needs* a screen replacement.

    This company just feels like a scam. Take money from people and barely provide a service in return. And good luck trying to speak to a representative. They’ll dodge that option with their automated phone call robot that tries to direct you every other direction. The lady I finally ended up speaking with didn’t even try to rectify my situation.
