My husband broke his phone, so I called Asurion. I spoke with a very courteous employee. He had a replacement to us in two days. I was very pleased with their quick response. The return process was very simple, too. We will continue to use Asurion.

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for one hiccup during the fairly easy claim process, performed the entire claim from start to end online and only ran into the following issue. When prompted to take a picture or upload a copy of my driver's license the only option available on my mobile device was to use the camera to take a photo. This would have been perfectly fine except the camera would not open when selected, after a couple tries I decided to check my web browser permissions and sure enough I had to add that permission. Completely not your fault unless you consider there was no actual button to select uploading a pdf or picture as I already had a copy on my one drive...

Lost my phone in a wooded area pursuing my dog chasing some deer. Looked for two days, no success. Went to AT&T store, associate directed me to web site to filed claim. Did that and had replacement in a few days with all data.

It was a little complicated so we took it to the AT&T store on Broadway in Boise Idaho and they were able to help. Mostly because the home button wasn’t working on the old phone and so it was difficult.

Asurion provided excellent customer service. My phone was stolen on a Tuesday, and I had a new one by Thursday. The person who helped me get a new phone was very likable and efficient. Overall great experience. Got my new phone in 4 days.

We have a warranty on our Whirlpool oven that is 1 year old. We purchased from Home Depot; it's been over a month and we still cannot use our oven. We called Asurion who told us our phone number was not correct, after manager Julie at Home Depot went above and beyond, our phone number was correct. She told asurion to contact us and guess what, under the phone number. The cord was overtighted the first time, luckily did not catch on fire but smelled and quit working. Serviceman came out, said he had to order another part, 2 1/2 weeks later, another came out, and replaced the cord; had to order another part. We are still waiting. Feeding a family of 4 eating out all the time is real expensive, inconvenient, and not healthy. Not happy at all! 4.10.2021 no update on when they are coming out.

Once I got the "hang of it" the insurance experience was pretty straightforward and easy. I'd never had to file a claim for a cell phone and I've had one since they've been around. Your representative got me on the right path, answered all my questions and in no time the new phone was here. Asurion made it easy, quick and painless. Asurion was able to get me my phone very fast. The only issue that I had was that the instructions to transfer information and that the phone was not registered. I had to call AT&T to get the phone registered.

It took me 5 to 6 calls before I actually got everything right to really activate my phone. I don’t think I explained it properly to the text but when I got the one I finally got everything right. It was beautiful so everybody deserves a five.

Hard to reach customer service, the ** Pro Tech is hard to reach and you missed your passcode you cannot get through, I need to call 611, something I have to wait to reconnecting to another specialist and then wrong person, not good.

At first very frustrating because the original customer service rep was to mail out a new phone overnight to my daughter who was out of town. Well that did not happen. The 2nd rep helped & assured my daughter she would have a phone. Thanks to this rep I did not have to worry anymore.

Very smooth transaction online, no fuss. Answered all questions online as far as damage to the phone and how much it would be to replace. Paid premium which I thought that was a little much for insurance but we needed it and phone received in 2 days.

I broke my phone and call Verizon. They link me to Asurion for a replacement and they had me pay 249.99 for the deductible and almost a week later I received a broken refurbished phone. I was ask to send it back 3 weeks before I call back and was told the money was send back to my account, I'm still with the broken phone.

The service delivered so above and beyond my expectations. I unfortunately dropped my phone down a city sewer and was completely unable to get to it. The service had zero issues with me not being able to mail in the damaged/lost phone and had my replacement mailed and delivered to me by the VERY NEXT DAY. Service was an absolute lifesaver in not making me have to burn $1,000+ to replace my lost/destroyed phone.

The insurance claim worked out great, this was for my son's phone who is in the military. We were able to ship directly to him so that he was without a phone for only about 1 day. The only issue is that I think we do not have any claims left.

The phone is substandard. NOT water resistant. Took on water after dropping in 18" of water for 5 minutes. Supposed to be much more water resistant than that. It had virtually no water resistance. The standard is supposed to be 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

I found the claim filing process to be very easy. The replacement for the damaged watch arrived quickly and it was an easy return process for damaged item. Replacement watch was an upgrade from the original. Overall I’m glad to have purchased the insurance.

Quick service to replace broken screen on phone. Assistants both in store and on phone were pleasant and helpful. Only issues was original delay in sending a technician to my address but due to missing parts couldn’t fix the problem, but waited until the day of the appointment to say it which meant having. Lost a week, before finding out I could go to a store for the repair.

Asurion used to be a great company, but sadly not anymore in my eyes. I bought a Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra under their coverage. When its screen cracked, they could not honor their stated promise of fixing it for $29. Instead, they want me to replace it after paying a deductible of $275. Their excuse is that the device is not listed YET somewhere on their website for eligible devices. This is not fair since more than 60 days passed since the device was released. They are forcing customers like me to go for the more expensive option, all while customers think they are covered.

Lady on the phone that I spoke with was super awesome and personable. I had a very reasonable co-payment on this equipment but I literally took the Asurion co-payment for screen replacement into account when I bought a phone. I deeply hate the Motorola screen replacement non-program wherein you don't replace screens for Motorola phones. I understand that the corporate line is that Motorola doesn't sell that equipment but replacement screens are available online and to other third parties as well as other phone replacement programs.
I would of course much prefer repairing my phone to getting a brand new one but when I get a brand new one for $9 I can't really complain too much. It just honestly I've spent 20 or even 50 to get my phone fixed the same day instead of a new phone the next day and having that count against your bottom line and my quota on breaking my phone.

Lost my phone, called Asurion, had my new phone within 24 hours. I followed the instructions and called the number to activate and since I had the backup option, my phone was completely replaced along with all my stored numbers and email passwords. Highly recommend Asurion insurance, Verizon and biometric password for your phone. Don't be lazy with protecting your securities.

I busted my phone needed a new one, they had my phone in stock but then I found out it was on backorder. And then I'd be notified every 48 hours. Which I could not do. So I got a different updated phone. And I actually like the new phone. But it sucks that I couldn't have the same one that I had before.

Very bad experience with the company. Cracked the front screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Phone was functional still, but needed repair. I carry insurance through my wireless provider on the phone with Asurion, so I filed a claim online. That part was easy. They very quickly sent me a loaner phone, which was helpful, but the loaner phone has been a headache in itself...but that's a different story. Anyhow, along with the loaner phone, they sent padded envelopes to send my phone to them for repair, and an envelope to return the loaner phone once I got my phone back from them. Seemed very legit and speedy to this point. I was guaranteed my phone within 3-5 business days. FedEx tracking confirmed that my phone was received by them on March 19th.
After the fifth day with no phone showing up, I called. Long wait times and being put on hold... Though the agents are kind and do seem to be trying to help. I was told to give them 2 more days and it would absolutely be here since they couldn't go over the 7 day mark. Still no phone. I called again. They offered to send me a replacement since they had gone over, to which I declined because I don't want a refurbished phone. They stated that there had been a delay on receiving the part for replacement (which I hadn't been told before) but that they now had the part in stock and was again guaranteed that my phone would be repaired and sent back to me by the end of the 3rd business day. That's today and I still have no phone.
I called again and they stated that the repair department still hadn't fixed my phone, for an unknown reason, and they were requesting another 3 business days or to send me a replacement instead. Again, I am not interested in a refurb or spending another 3 days waiting on a phone that is never coming. So I told them to cancel the claim, send me back my phone unrepaired, and I will take it somewhere locally and pay probably a lot more money to have it replaced. Carrying insurance through them is useless and I will be cancelling today. Not even kind of worth the headache of sitting on the phone multiple times just to be told to wait some more.

Updated on 04/14/2021: Asurion has had my phone since March 18 2021. They have passed my case to 8 different managers and customer reps and I finally got in touch have with a lady from the CEO office after my initial claim was reviewed 2 times and approved. She cancelled my claim today so I got an email from Asurion saying I cancelled the claim. Which is an outright lie. And 2 minutes later got an email from them with a new claim number needing information about lease agreement and receipt of what I paid. Which I is the starting of all claims.
So after a month of 2 reviews 2 approved claims to, "We lost your phone" to "We have no replacement phone" to waiting on confirmation from UPS to make sure phone was delivered to their warehouse to the countless supervisors who promised to call me and never did to SmartPay said I can't get out of my lease until I send the phone back to them that I don't have because Asurion still has it to finally the lady in the CEO office cancelling my claim only to start this process all over again.
I sent them an email this evening telling them I want my 29 dollar deductible back since my phone apparently is not fixed and just return my phone back to me so I can send it to SmartPay and go out and buy me a phone and pay cash and not lease from SmartPay and if I ever need a repair to my phone I will throw it in the trash and go buy another one just so I don't have to deal with this company again. Oh and I have my emails from them if anyone wants to see them.
Updated on 04/07/2021: Update on my review of Asurion claim. Someone finally called me and said where they send the broken/cracked screen. UPS had it finally received there. At a warehouse. Will have one sent to me April 8. I will keep you posted. It will be 18 days since they received my phone.
Original Review: Had sent my phone to them for a cracked screen. 13 days later and 12 different CSA and 3 different managers and still no phone or similar. Disabled home alone and no phone. Repeated phone calls to them. Different story each time from, "claim approved" and I paid my 29 dollars deductible to "I don’t know" to "I will have someone call you" to "out of stock and no comparable" to "we sent one out" to "nope they were wrong" to the latest "it’s in review." So screen repair to paying deductible. Still no answers. Never again will I use them.

My phone was lost and replaced the next day. However I had problems setting it up and had to take it to the Verizon store. The sim card didn't work so they had to replace that and the serial # of the phone on the outside of the box didn't match the serial # on the phone so that was a problem too... but overall I'm happy my phone got replaced so quickly and easily.

Absolute waste of thousands of dollars over the past 8 years! Tried to file a claim and got stuck in "groundhog day" filing the same thing day after day and not moving forward. Then, so frustrated, couldn't wait any longer, so just went and got a new phone from Verizon. It was a total waste of money and time with Asurion!

Putting in clam was simple online. I received the replacement the next day. As soon as my mother got back in town I changed out her SIM card and made sure everything was changed over. Once done I sent the broken phone back. It was very easy.

The most difficult thing was finding WiFi strong enough to backup my iPhone. I was able to do it at work and get the phone sent back in the given 15 days. Very easy and very convenient. The replacement phone is perfect.

Always super easy and fast. I have 4 kids so unfortunately I've had to do many phone insurance claims but they make it very painless. My only complaint is that sometimes I feel like the deductible could be a little lower for certain phones since I pay so much a month to have it but I get it I guess. This is the second bad experience I've had with Asurion. I made a claim for a water damaged phone, Asurion told me they had a replacement available and it would be delivered to me the next day so I paid my deductible and they sent me a tracking number. By the end of the next day no device had been delivered so I called Asurion, they told me that after I paid my deductible the device had suddenly become unavailable and they have no way of knowing when another comparable device would be available so they can't provide any type of time-line. At this point I'm out the money for the deductible and could be without a phone for months.
I can't understand how I just bought this phone a few months ago but they have no comparable devices available, why do I pay for insurance?? Not to mention the device is a replacement device provided to me by Asurion, the manufacturer states that the device is waterproof but clearly it isn't since it was damaged by dropping it in water. If anything it should have been a warranty claim not an insurance claim. They scammed me out of a deductible for a phone I may never receive for a claim that should have been a warranty claim meaning I shouldn't have had to pay a deductible. Very untrustworthy company.

My wife's phone screen cracked and I started a claim. They sent out a repairman to fix it. While he was trying to fix it he broke the back of the phone. Asurion went ahead and just replaced the phone at no extra charge. I really appreciated it and would recommend for people to use Asurion!

Do NOT purchase their protection plan. It is worthless and they lie to you about how it works. The Insurance company destroyed my printer during shipment and refused to replace my printer. Asurion's customers are unaware of the 15-day return policy for the damaged device. Asurion goes out of their way to make sure they don't mention this anywhere but the fine print. Then they charge you $850, keep the $250 deductible, they keep the old device, and the premiums. Total scam. They belong in jail. If you file a claim I suggest you educate yourself so you don't get scammed by this fraudulent process designed to confuse you then exploit you and steal your money. At&t then claims they have nothing to do with Asurion when you complain.
Asurion won't even take your calls after the claim is closed--according to them. The little guy gets screwed every time. They're liars and criminals. AT&T has chosen to work with this partner and work together to screw you as badly as they can. Someday there will be a class action lawsuit against these pieces of human garbage. If you simply report the device stolen or lost then you won't have to return the old device and they can't charge you an additional $850 for not returning it. Don't let yourself be penalized for being honest.

After my android screen cracked, I made a claim over the phone and was told my deductible for a cracked screen is 29 dollars. After completing the claim, my deductible ended up being 200 dollars, because apparently they cannot fix cracked screens for my phone. It would be nice to see that on their website, borderline false advertising. So I paid the 200 dollar deductible and was told everything was taken care of and I would receive my replacement in 2 days.
After not receiving any shipping information, I called the next day to check the status. I was then told I need to provide documentation, an affidavit, photo id and proof of purchase in order to complete the process. There was no mention of that in the original conversation. So I sent over the affidavit and other documents. The next day I called to ensure they received the documents and was told they are waiting on the documents to arrive. I mentioned I sent them over and they confirmed the did receive them and they are under review and to wait up to 24 hours.
The next day I called again to check the status and I was again told I need to send over the proper documents. I mentioned it has been sent over numerous times. The agent confirmed it was in fact received and they will let me know within 24 hours. The nice lady on the line understood my frustration and put in for a quick approval, so after being on the phone for 45 minutes today, I was told my claim has been approved and my phone will arrive tomorrow. I hope that's true. Every agent I've spoke with was friendly, I believe there needs to be more transparency on what is covered. If my screens cracks, and it says a deductible for a cracked screen is 29 dollars, I actually expect to pay 29 dollars.

The representative was very understanding and processed our claim quickly in order to replace my husband's phone that was lost in a snowstorm while plowing. They explained that with Covid the expected times were longer but they would do all they could to make sure it arrived as quickly as possible. Within a few hours of the call, the phone was found and returned. I quickly called back and they told me exactly what to do with the phone when it arrived and they would credit our account. Good experience overall. Customer wait time when I called was long, though they did have the option to call me back. Ended up having to wait a couple days for my claim to get processed because they wanted to make sure the phone wasn't used by someone. I get that some people are shady (and some find the phone they thought they lost, etc.) but ended up not getting my replacement before I left for a week long trip, which was a pain. Fortunately had a backup that I could downgrade to in the interim but would have been a huge problem if I didn't.

For the last six months paid $26 for insurance on Asurion Home + product. Go to use it and was not told I had to send the product for them to review. However before I send the product I need to pay $105 in addition to the last six months of payment when did not use the service. After a month of being told ordering parts, still researching, sending a replacement, I am told cannot send a replacement and need to give me replacement fee. They only offer $191 for a Apple iWatch. They refuse to return the service fee so technically they are only giving me $91 for the replacement fee.
No one can purchase a new watch for $91. I called to cancel the program and even the agent could not get company to provide additional monies. it would have been better to pay the cost to fix it at a store. Best Buy or Apple as they would not charge me to look at the item. I paid $256 total to Asurion to get $191 and now have no iWatch and cannot afford to get another one at this time.

It was relatively quick simple experience. The phone arrived after promised date which unfortunately was after we left the state so the return of the broken phone was extended. They were notified the day we left but apparently didn’t read email so there were some follow up letters and finally a phone call asking why the broken phone hadn’t been returned and we were going to be charged for it if it wasn’t. Added stress that wasn’t necessary if there had been a better way to contact them when there is an issue. Eventually it worked out after we got back home and returned the broken phone.

We filed a claim on Feb 18. We finally got a phone delivered to us on March 12. Phone did not work, then spent 3 hours on phone with Tech Coach service (took them that long to confirm something was wrong with the "refurbished" phone), then another 2 hours on phone with Asurion customer service. It is now the end of the day on March 15 and we still have no phone. Complete ripoff - we have paid over $400 of monthly warranty fees. Be warned.

I was told that my Galaxy s10plus that is 2 years old is still at 1,000 dollars retail price. Not even the carriers sell it for 1,000 anymore. They could not tell me what fraction of the price I was paying. Just that it's 275.00 and after taxes about 300. The customer service was crappy and even the supervisor could not answer my questions. With technology always moving forward it is outrageous that they still hold the original retail price for a phone that is 2 years old. The new Galaxy s21 is 1,200 so how would a phone 2 years old be just as expensive. I haven't filed a claim in over 4 years and that is not taken into account. I pay 19 dollars a month and in the end no matter what I still have to pay.

Terrible on going experience; 2/16/21 started claim on washer. They assigned to local repair center which came out and stated major repairs needed; gear box and pump etc. Days passed and I called Asurion, they said not economical to repair and will replace. Days passed and I called again, they now changed and will repair. Appliance company called. Scheduled, then called back and stated not all parts were in. 3/11/21 appliance company called to reschedule now all parts are in. 3/12/21 appliance company cancelled and said asurion denied now due to additional cost of repair. TODAY; 3/13/21 I called asurion, major confusion on their end, can't get their story straight with their own notes, I requested a manager call me back on Monday. ALL MY CALLS HAVE BEEN RECORDED.

I have been a customer for 22 years of Verizon. It has taken 7 hours of phone calls 6 weeks close a claim. I was shocked and unhappy to get a used phone for a claim. When the phone was shipped I returned it the next day. Hours on the phone to finally get my refund. I cancelled my insurance and still am being charged on my bill. I am cancelling my service with Verizon after 22 years. WORST customer service. It doesn’t exist.

This is the first time we used our Mobile Insurance to replace/fix a device and we were very pleased with the process. My daughter stepped on her tablet and cracked the screen. I went in our Verizon account to file a claim. Took less than 5 minutes from start to finish. And I think we paid about $9 for our deductible. We also got next day shipping free so literally less than 24hrs later we had a new device! Thankfully we hadn’t had to use this before and hopefully don’t have to again anytime soon, but if we do, I know it’ll be a super quick and easy process. Thoroughly impressed for sure.

I've started a claim for a SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR that was not FREEZE properly, finally after 15 days waiting, technician arrived with a diagnosis that the refrigerator needs a NEW FAN, piece coming for this ASURION workshop. After all of this waiting another week have passed and finally the TECH came to do the job with the WRONG PIECE. Amazingly my new phone was at my door in less than 12hrs. An envelope was provided to send my destroyed phone all for $200.00. The insurance rate I feel is a bit high but it is what it is. To retrieve my info was a bit challenging but their customer service was right there for help.

Great help from the associates. They were very polite and a big help with walking me through setting up my phone. The only downfall would be that I was told I would get the phone overnight, but it took 4 days instead.

Helpful and got service back on quickly in new device. They were willing to help transfer things and stay on the chat as long as needed. My watch was perfect. I got lucky and got a free upgrade. It was a newer model than what got stolen so I was happy.

It was an ok experience. Hated I had to pay a $250 deductible for a phone that was refurbished. I also found it odd that a few weeks before I had to do a claim on mine my wife had to do one on hers and she got a new phone with double the storage. The service was prompt, and easy to navigate, just not happy with what I was given as a replacement.

Still haven’t gotten my replacement after they made me re-fill the claim a week after I did the original one. Still no replacement. Will never recommend for hung up on by 2 different employees. Will probably cancel AT&T because of this awful experience.

My request for the cellular phone replacement was acted immediately and I received the replacement phone 3 days after I made the request for repair or replacement. I was very happy with the service that I received from Asurion. I had dropped my phone on a concrete driveway and completely shattered the face so badly that tiny slivers of glass got into my finger when I swiped it to unlock it. I desperately needed an immediate replacement! I received the replacement in about 4 days and I was able to track it as it was en route to me. The representative gave me detailed information that I needed and I am very pleased with this transaction.

My husband’s phone fell out of his pocket while loading his truck. I always keep his phone insured. AT&T gave me the information to contact you. I submitted the form on a Thursday evening. Said replacement would arrive 1-2 business days. Came the very next day by lunchtime. Very happy with your service. Although I wasn’t too excited about the deduction.

Very easy to file a claim, came next day, the 1st one volume did not work. Sent another no problem next day. Satisfied customer and always tell people especially with iPhones we always get ins. Can do online and on the 2nd one called in, they have 1 year warranty on the replacement.

I lost my phone on Friday, went to the AT&T Store and they started my claim with Asurion (I had forgotten that I even HAD insured my phone),. I had an iWatch break and I called Asurion who assisted me over the phone to get a new replacement and they ended up upgrading my iWatch to the newest version on the market which was a huge surprise. When the new iWatch arrived there was an easy return package to send the broken unit back. Sent the broken unit back and received an email a few days later from Asurion letting me know they received the broken device. A couple weeks later the claim was closed, easy.

The customer service representative was phenomenal. The only drawback of the experience was that my phone that was being replaced was not usable. When the technician realized he would not be able to help me and didn't need to make a house call to try and fix my phone I didn't realize he was attempting to get ahold of me via email. I waited for over an hour for the technician. Needless to say, he never came by but eventually I realized why. The replacement phone I have now works very well and I'm very happy all in all.

Got my phone the very next day and I had to go through a bit few more steps in terms of transferring all of the my contacts, pictures, and app over to my new phone. But, it wasn't anything that I couldn't figure out on my own. The company made it quite easy in returning my old phone as well, I just shipped it back in the same box it came in. All of the labels and shipping tape was all provided for me. So, I couldn't ask for an easier process than that.

I am happy about the replacement of my iPhone at AT&T. But, I feel AT&T should have explain explicitly about me paying a deductible. I wasn't told this when I took out insurance on the iPhone 5 years ago. I am being charged $112 for a deductible. I spoke to another Customer Service Rep on 2/26/2021 who said the deductible is $109. Whatever the price may be, I felt I was mistreated as a customer.

One of the great benefits of receiving a replacement device from us is having a 12-month warranty in case your device has a malfunction. The refurbished phones are horrible!! I had to return my first replacement. I hope the second one is a good phone. I’ve paid over $1200 on a phone and I expected my insurance to provide me with a replacement phone to be new of good quality like what I bought not a phone that has defaults and needs repaired too. I’m disappointed with this insurance altogether. I have a new iPhone 12 pro max it came out 4 months ago and I’m getting a refurbished phone already SMH. Not pleased at all.

It was easy to start the claim. I received the replacement phone in two days as stated. The instructions on how to transfer info from the old phone to the new phone were easy to follow. The whole process was so much better than I expected!
