I have several devices with Verizon Wireless (who utilizes Asurion for its Device Protection plan). In December 2020, a device on my account was lost. We attempted to track it for 2 days before actually reporting as lost to Asurion - though we did notify Verizon of its loss and what we were attempting to do. With no luck with locating the device, we officially notified the police (filed report), contacted Verizon Wireless and filed a claim with Asurion - completing all the required steps, we were provided with a claim number. Because of a previous incident from the past (about 3 years) I decided that I wanted to have this entire event documented and sent a letter to Asurion via Priority Mail the following day. The document was signed for by an employee. I did not receive a response.
I spoke with Verizon Wireless and was informed that they have no authority to intervene but the representative stated they would pass my concerns on to her supervisor. After about a month of silence from Asurion, I sent a letter to their legal department which was finally signed for by someone about 3 weeks after the U.S. Post Office made it's first attempt to deliver and obtain a signature for the letter. No response was received from their legal department. Because there was no device on my line with Verizon, that line was taken and I was assessed $300 by Verizon due to a promotion. It should be noted that it was done after more than 60 days from the date of loss.
Having not heard a word from Asurion about my claim, I filed a Consumer Arbitration Demand with AAA. AAA subsequently closes the matter for failure (of Asurion) to comply with AAA policies regarding consumer claims. In short, Asurion failed to respond to the arbitration demand. In May 2021, almost 6 months of total silence, I filed an action in State court against Asurion. A court date was established and they were served two (2) days after filing the action.
In June 2021, Asurion finally uttered its first acknowledgment that a claim had even been filed by email to me. Their Senior Writer requested that I contact her to discuss a resolution. After a number of back and forth email communications we could not reach an agreement regarding the verbiage of the settlement agreement and communications were terminated in July 2021. Their final email to me was "acknowledging receipt and have engaged our litigation team. We'll plan to appear for the hearing."
Now, Asurion had agreed to minor changes to the agreement (based on fact and proof) and they would have me believe that they were "allowing the identified edits in good faith and intent to resolve this matter with you, unfortunately all other terms contained in the settlement agreement are non-negotiable for Asurion." One of those clauses was that I could not discuss the terms of settlement with anyone! While I would have respected that, this site reminded me of the importance of consumers voicing their opinion, freely.
But more important, Asurion took the position that they could do what they wanted including ignoring their own agreements (that can change anytime they want) with consumers. I think their attitude from the past as I recall it was the reason I wanted this claim documented. I will not be silenced when I am paying my money for something I call "service" and they view as income until a claim is filed - then I become an "inconvenience" to them.
What was the outcome you ask? Court is tomorrow. Their request to appear via Zoom, citing "Asurion is not allowing employee travel except in extraordinary circumstances due to coronavirus" (and coupled with an Objection filed by me due to untimeliness) was denied by the Judge in this case. One point for me. What I will do is provide an update to this review following court. I will say this though - how would you feel if you had been ignored for more than 7.5 months? Sure, I could have probably have resolved it ONLINE is a shorter time period - but this is a company that has a long history of playing hard ball when it comes to dealing fairly with claims - we allow it. Collectively, our voices are stronger but I'll continue to march forward on my own when anyone takes my hard earned money for a product or service and refuses to live up to their own agreement. I'm not falling for the ole banana in the tailpipe routine. More later.

Approval of my claim was extremely quick. I received my replacement phone the next day. I’m very satisfied. I have a full year of warranty added on the new phone. I also received assistance setting up service from the capable staff at the AT&T store in Palos Heights IL.

I have used Asurion in the past and it seems as if the process is easier. It is wonderful how a company makes necessary improvements to facilitate ease for their clients.

Purchased a laptop computer with insurance protection from Asurion. The screen cracked after 1 year and 9 months - well within the coverage of the plan. It took forever to try and reach Asurion on the phone. They kept on dropping calls,. I finally had to beg someone to call me back. When I finally got to speak to someone, he was very reasonable. They send you a shipping box in which to send the computer for repair. He promised to send the box the next day. Two weeks pass and no box. I call again, again have difficulty getting through. I'm told, "Oh yes, there was a slight delay." (No reason given for the delay.)."We'll send the box tomorrow." That was 5 weeks ago. I long ago bought a replacement.
Extended warranties and insurance plans are the most lucrative side of retailing. They typically charge 20% of the product's value to insure it. Most customers do not submit a claim - it usually seems to work out that your product breaks down just after the warranty or insurance period expires. In our case I thought we were lucky, having our laptop break after 1 year and 9 months. But we didn't reckon on dealing with this company. It appears that they never intended to honor their commitment.

Activated my phone when I was having trouble doing so on the internet. The Technician was very knowledgeable and very courteous, He even set up a call back to set up my IPRO tablet after I discovered the batt was too low to turn on and a Technician visit to help me pair my Phone and tablet to the computer.

I can't figure out how to give zero stars, or I would. I do not know for fact, but it's clear to me what your company and of all it's competent employees during the pandemic and, instead of hiring them back, hired new people In to save on labor. Over over 8 hours AT LEAST on the phone dealing with problems that mostly I didn't cause, miscommunication from your employees, and 2 hour hold times did. Every one of the 4 or 5 employees I talked to told me something completely different, or that they lacked the Information or training to perform what should be routine job tasks. Leaving me on hold extended periods of time while they ask another employer who also doesn't know, and it took me almost a week to get the order in, had to wait for the weekend too because I was not contacted by: byd in the 24 limit the third or fourth time. The second to last employee told me I would get a gift card for the troubles, but your finance last ssyd k change.

I reported damage to phone device online, on a Thursday evening. I could not open my lock screen. My claim was processed online and I had a new device delivered to my address by Saturday morning. I was able to transfer my data, apps and contacts, with the help of Samsung technician by Saturday night. I did lose my pictures. Lesson: Back up all of your device data.

Process was very quick. I loved that they came to my home on a Sunday to do the repair and it only took a few minutes. Can’t tell that phone was ever cracked. Highly recommend using them! I told several of my coworkers to check them out. Definitely worth having insurance coverage for things like cracked phones.

Replaced the cracked cell phone screen on my iPhone. It was done promptly and efficiently. I was so very grateful! They have great customer service. Friendly and helpful staff. uBreakiFix in Houston Heights is a very convenient location as well. I can't say enough about the quality of work and assistance received. I would recommend to a friend and will not hesitate to use them again if the occasion arises.

I got two defective phones from Asurion but the reps helping me were always polite and nice and understanding.. The last rep who helped me Ashley went above and beyond for me. She is great! It was a longer process but she was able to upgrade my device due to my previous defective phones.. so far phones been great!

My daughter dropped her phone and cracked it so bad it was making calls on its own. I logged in, made my claim and we had a replacement phone delivered at my door less than 48 hours later. This was such a easy and convenient experience, definitely worth it!

I was not expecting the same-day service replacement with my wife's phone. The previous claim I had with my phone, it took three days to deliver, no weekend delivery contract with UPS. Damien called, letting me know his approximate arrival time, that was helpful, I was able to do errands and was able to give him the access code to the gate. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Got things running in few minutes and gave some tips about the phone, etc. Great asset to the company. Thank you.

Middle of the road expected. Deductible for a replacement is way too high. To pay a fee each month then something happens and it's another $250 for a replacement is asinine. I have been with my provider for over 20 years and in all that time I've had 4 different devices, I keep them for a long time. Also in that 20 years I have only ever made one other claim. 20 years of monthly fees plus the deductible is highway robbery.

The wait to speak with a person was not long at all, once the representative was on the line, her service was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of my situation and had experienced the same problem with her own phone. She was fast and courteous and took care of the problem right away and I received my new replacement the next day.

As far as company goes they worked well and hard to make sure not only my phone screen got fixed. But when I called them to let them know that the repair place told me my motherboard was bad they sent me a new phone immediately. So was very happy with their service

The process was pretty easy. I did have to call in and speak to an agent, but it wasn't painful. I was happy to get a discount for not having a lot of insurance claims. The phone arrived the next day as promised. The phone I received was a certified refurbished, but looked perfect.

Great Service, the claims process was quick and easy. It was determined that I would receive a replacement phone. My replacement phone arrived much sooner than I expected. My replacement phone came with instructions on how to transfer data from old phone to replacement. I was very happy with the service.

The process for replacing the phone and getting it set back up was pretty seamless. We've had this insurance plan for a while now and have been pretty pleased with it. Without it I'd be out a lot more money to get these phones replaced. Thank you!

It was difficult to navigate through the website to the area I needed. After I got there everything was fine. Also I went to the Verizon store where I bought the phone and they were of no help. They gave me your phone number. I called and was told to go to the website.

I was happy with the speed of processing the claim on my phone. I also was very glad to receive my replacement phone by the next day, however I was not pleased that I had only had my IPhone 12 Pro Max for 3 months and am having to still pay for that new phone but it was not replaced with a new phone it was replaced with a refurbished iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I'm not sure what to say, I asked them to overnight the phone because I couldn't be without it, it got here the next day. I was very pleased with that. It would have been nice, if somebody had told me about the PUC code. But AT&T's technical support helped me with that.

Good and quick response. Glad to get phone replacement sent out quickly. But I wish we had better shipping options. FedEx to Alaska is slow. Took 5-6 days to get here. USPS Express would be best. Remote places do not have direct FedEx service. Package has to ship out USPS ground from Fed Ex in Anchorage.

My wife’s phone broke during a vacation. Screen completely cracked and we couldn’t see anything. The team was able to deliver the new device to Maine and help us transfer/set up remotely. I really appreciate the support. The interface between online forms, robocall contacts, and some “human to human” calls worked to get the phone transferred with no data loss.

I lost my iPad while traveling. Having it covered through Asurion allowed me to replace it immediately instead of waiting to save enough money to purchase a new one. Thank you! The entire process was very quick and simple. I highly recommend this service to cover all of your electronics. I have several devices and each one is “on the go” every day. Filing a claim was super easy and my replacement phone arrived in 2 days. Awesome and hassle-free. Customer rep was very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. The only issue I had was with the website. It kept showing an old claim I filed. That's how I ended up calling customer support. I was immediately connected to one. Overall, an excellent experience!

My experience was good. The online instructions were pretty easy to follow and when I did reach a hiccup the online help was great! The person helping me was very helpful and walked me through what I needed to do. I was pretty much done, but I only needed one more step. They help me complete that last step and I was finished. Product not in stock, not good. It was back ordered until I entered payment info. System said I would get 48 hr updates. Went 10 days with no updates. Still back ordered. Had to get Verizon involved. Received bad battery in replacement. Got another replacement, sent first one back. 6 days after it was received they sent demand letter saying I was going to be charged since item not returned. Oh and everyone I spoke to was rude to me…

I took my Samsung 8 phone to uBreakiFix and the cracked screen and new battery were install in only 2 hours without having to ship my phone off and do without a phone for my business. I'm Very Happy with the service. And it only cost $29 and I didn't have to buy a new phone.

My daughter lost her phone. I reported it to Verizon, and was immediately contacted by Asurion about replacing it. I sent Asurion my form, and the replacement phone was shipped overnight. It was amazing and so appreciated. No lengthy process involved. I am totally satisfied with the quickness and nominal fee charged.

Was such a hassle getting a replacement. Waited till after vacation to deal with it. Even went to the Att store and still couldn't fill out the paper work they wanted because their systems weren't working properly. Ended up with a prepaid phone from someone else to make my final drive home and 3 days later the paperwork went through. Phone did arrive quickly but a lot of hassle and would rather just buy another phone than buy for something I have to jump through hoops for. I still had to get another temp phone because these guys. Not worth it in the long run.

Beyond Excellent. My phone was delivered to me on a Tuesday morning at 10 AM. My claim was made the previous Monday at 12:00 PM. I live in Eagle River Alaska and the phone was at my house in 22 hours.

My Apple iPad Air 3rd generation was stolen and I called AT&T to give Dakin my information. Technician arrived at my residence right on time and had my cracked phone screen replaced in just a few minutes. He was very professional and having the repair service come to my home was super convenient! Much better than having to replace phone with higher deductible. $29 was much better.

Once a good link was finally received everything worked very smoothly. I did have an issue using my laptop to make claim but when I went to my phone it worked a lot better. I’m hoping that issue can be fixed since individuals without phones would not have a backup option.

I bought a pair of sunglasses from Dick's Sporting Goods and for some reason decided to purchase the warranty as my children are obsessed with my sunglasses and wanted to make sure if they got broken I could replace them. Well my fears came true and filed a claim. Well long story short 3 months and 15 phone calls later, still no resolution. I've been told that they didn't do gift cards anymore so they had to send me a check which is fine. Then it was, "We can't figure what happened. We'll send another." I called and talked to a supervisor for the 4th time and she is supposed to call me back with more information, but as every time I have been told that they don't I'm not holding my breath. This company is useless and only a cause of frustration. Never purchase a warranty if they are in charge of it!

We paid for insurance on our phone. The insurance wasn’t cheap. We paid for insurance thinking our phone would be replaced if anything happened. Your company has so many hoops. It’s like a jumping marathon just to get the product that the insurance covered. On top of the hassle, there a $190 deductible to get a refurbished phone. REFURBISHED. Not new. I intend to self insure next time. Not happy at all.

Deductible is higher than I was used to, I feel that it’s too much for a refurbished phone. Delivery was extremely stressful, should not use FedEx in the future. They did not leave my phone in Saturday because it required a signature. I stayed home on Monday (I’m a nurse for immunodeficiency patients). They knocked on my door and left (no signature required after all that mess). They tossed the box at the door and left.

Filing a claim was very easy and we received the new phone the next day. The only thing I wish was the instructions were easier on how to activate the new phone. An activation kit was included and I had no idea what to do with that. The card didn’t fit anywhere. Since the original, phone was totally fried, I was hesitant to put that SIM card in the new phone. Finally just did it and then it was easier to manually setup.

My phone arrived in a timely manner and the customer service was very helpful. My only complaint is that I wish I would've received a replacement that is both the same model and color since I am still paying a hefty amount for the replacement. I received the same model but the color was different from my original phone; I was told the only color option was black so I had no choice. Because of the lack of options and the price I can only rate this experience 3 stars.

Couldn't be any easier. Filled out the form, go on the calendar and pick a date and time. The guy shows up and takes the phone to his van in my driveway. In 20 minutes the phone is returned to me in perfect condition. He swapped out the front cracked glass and put a protective shield on it too. It was very simple.

I am a Frontline Health care Provider. I got to Verizon and the representative was just as baffled? The phone had tiny moisture in it. I told him I need my asap. Beyond difficult to file a claim for a simple cracked screen. Multiple phone calls, had to repeat the info each time, and this was the second try at getting the screen fixed. First time they were a no show, second time I literally spent more than two hours on phone calls to get another appointment set up. And after all of that on the day they were supposed to show for service I found out they took the address down incorrectly...and had to start over again with another call. Beyond frustrated. Each time it's as if you have never called and they have no info to pull up and just reschedule a meeting. I honestly believe the intention is to make the process long, pass you to multiple people, in hopes you will give up and not file a claim. The agents themselves were friendly and apologetic, but that didn't make the overall process less painful. I canceled my insurance on 3 Verizon lines the next day.

The staff that helped me was awesome but the amount you charge for a deductible is very unfair. 1300 to buy the phone and 200 to 300 to get it replaced plus spending 25 dollars a month for the insurance puts a typical phone at 2,200 dollars for the 2 years then your plan at 100 a month average is another 2,400. Totaling a cost 4,600 in 2 years. That’s a quite a lot.

Activation address and link did not work. After hours of working issue, finally had to get a tech on an online chat. She was able to help. Many things in setup process work great....others DO NOT! Thank goodness that I have some level of tech knowledge or this definitely would have required a visit to an AT&T store. Things shouldn't be this difficult!

I had a severely cracked screen on my Apple SE phone and the call was super easy to set up an appointment for repair. The tech was extremely nice and drove to my home and repaired the screen in her van in my driveway. Great customer service.

Son dropped his phone in the lake. For some technical reason, we were not able to file our claim online and had to go to an ATT store. Process was pretty quick and we got a replacement phone in the mail overnight. Very pleased! Glad we have Asurion as we have needed it more than once.

The replacement phone came early the very next day. Since my old phone was completely inoperable, I needed help from customer support to set up the new one. I used the chat feature and they were excellent in guiding me thru all the steps to get up and running again. All in all I was out of service less than 24 hrs thanks to Asurion. 5 star service all around.!

Visited the AT&T store in Cape Girardeau, MO on Thursday afternoon, was told that my SE phone had finally died, ordered a replacement which arrived on Friday for $75.00. Had a few pairing issues with my Apple Watch but we figured it out and all is well.

PHONE Transfer of old to new was a breeze, pictures and files were readily Accessible. Tablet activation was simple to follow and was reminded to call Carrier to finish. Followup call to Asurion on verification was simple and broken device was received and lost Device notice accepted. Computer generated information letter was confusing but Asurion was Polite and Prompt on Please Disregard.

Asurion; you provide a great service but as costs keep climbing, competition is growing. American Express has just started insuring our devices so a decision will have to be made. LiPo battery expanded and forced the case apart. Not exactly looking to have a Lithium fire in my pants pocket. Filed a report online, had a problem, called a service agent who fixed it in roughly 3 minutes and the new phone arrived in 18 hours. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

I placed a call to trouble shoot issues with my phone. I received assistance from an employee quickly but my case had to be escalated to the next level. The first assistant called me back to verify my issue was resolved. It was determined the phone needed replaced. I got the new device the next day and was able to complete the transfer using the online instructions with a bit of help with a chat window. Overall it was quite easy and painless!

Fast and friendly, my only concern is that the replacement phone is nowhere near the Samsung active. We received a refurbished Samsung 6. As a landscaper it does not seem durable. I understand it's an upgrade from a 4 to 6, just expected more since this user has never had the need for insurance.

This was a very fast, high-quality service! It was moderately easy to figure out the steps to file a claim. I felt that 1/5 the price of the phone seemed a very high copay but perhaps the market rate, I don't know. This is the first time we have used this type of insurance. I would recommend this service.
