    The process was fast and easy. The only problem I encountered was that the customer service on the phone was a little less helpful than I would have liked. I was told I would be able to do the whole process online. But I kept running into problems online and eventually just called and was left on hold, listening to a robotic voice tell me that I can do this process online and it'll be fast and easy, which wasn't true because I kept trying to, and it wasn't working.

    The entire process was handled very professionally by your staff. I received the replacement device and the Verizon staff transferred my necessary information. I have no complaints with the service. The only issue I have is the deductible and the warning about turning off the locator services. I thought that the deductible was too high and I don't understand the importance to you about turning off the locator or threatening me with a $500 charge. The deductible was on the order of 20% of the cost of the phone. I would hate to think of the consequences of a house or car insurance premium like that. In any event I paid almost $200 as a deductible and I am paying a $14 a month premium.

    If I insure the phone for the three years I am going to be paying for it that is approximately $700. The phone only cost about a thousand and I am sure that the wholesale cost of the phone that you would probably pay is a lot less than the thousand or so that I paid. I am wondering what good the insurance really is. Also, that threat of a $500 dollar charge if I didn't terminate the locator or cloud connection or whatever it was that the Verizon technician turned off is, to me, nothing more than a method of recouping some more revenue for the person who does not perform that task. While I cannot find any fault with your service or the timeliness of your response and the phone replacement I am beginning to wonder about the benefits of even having the insurance.

    Lost the phone over the side of a boat on vacation on 11/20. Asurion sent the claim form as a non-fillable pdf, so I had to find a printer to print and fill out the form. The claim was submitted on 11/22 and within about 20 minutes there were a flurry of emails confirming receipt of my claim, advising how to check on the status and telling me to call an 888 number. When I called, the rep told me there was no problem with the claim form, except they didn't have a replacement and, no, I couldn't go to a Verizon store and get one [nor, apparently, could Asurion].

    I still have no phone and no information on when I might get one or whether it will be new or an inherited problem that has been "reconditioned". Considering the ongoing inconvenience and the substantial "deductible" of between $150 - 195, it would have made more sense for me to go buy a new phone for the $450-500 difference. So I'm cancelling the $11/mo. Verizon "protection" plan, though I have learned that USAA offers what looks to be a better plan at a lower price and may consider that.

    I filed a claim on Nov 13th on my 16 gb black iPhone. I was told the only one they can overnight is a rose gold 64 gb. I said whatever I can get overnight is fine. I then got an email the next day saying it was on backorder and it would take 3-7 days. I waited until the 22nd to call which they said they were still waiting on that specific phone. I told them any iphone is okay. I just need one. I got in contact with a supervisor named Lawrence who said they have a black 16 gb plus they can overnight. I got confirmation saying my claim was complete at 5 pm that day and it would send tracking information within 12 hours. I waited until the 25th to call again. I was then told they have no supervisor named Lawrence and they don't have any phones they can send me. They said I will have the phone on the 28th at the absolute latest. It's now the 29th and I still have nothing. I have never written a complaint before, but this is the worst service I've ever had.
