    Tried to replace my phone which is under warranty, and had to call Asurion to file a claim. Not only was I put on hold for nearly half an hour, but the first representative HUNG UP ON ME. I had to go through all the steps calling them AGAIN, and luckily paired with a different representative. She wasn't any better, and was impossible to understand through mumbling and accent. Not her fault, but very irritating especially after the first attempt.

    I couldn't understand so I thought I would try the live chat. NOPE apparently it's not actually a thing and unavailable. Very frustrated I thought I would just try the claim myself and tried through the website, after being TOLD by my provider (Verizon) that my claim was covered the website said it wasn't. Checked back in with Verizon and what do you know it's still covered. SO not only does Asurion hire incredibly rude people and others who may not be able to work the phone very well, but also has ** online service and I will not be doing business with them again, it's not worth the rise in my blood pressure or the wasted hour or so of my life.

    So I went through Asurion to get a replacement phone for my broken phone. The only good part of the whole deal was the timely delivery, other than that I am very dissatisfied with the replacement phone. The phone they sent me was a refurbished phone in which the touchscreen sensor did not work therefore I have to use the stylus instead of my finger.     I bought a TV and it came with expensive headphones. The headphones broke and they will not cover them. This is after I called and they told me they would cover them, but they are under manufacture warranty. I called Samsung and they would not help me as the original box had no SKU. So when the manufacture warranty expired, Asurion said no, they are not covered and are considered an accessories and that it was stated under terms.

    The terms I have so nothing to explain "accessories." I was lied to and now I'm screwed over. The lady at Asurion accused me of trying to file a false claim as the headphone were already damaged and it's considered preexisting, this is after she already told me they aren't covered, basically trying to upset me and make me seem as if I'm stupid. I'm pissed at this company and asked for a refund on the warranty, she said "well now you have to write a letter in as to why you want to cancel." This leaves me with no way of knowing if my concern will be addressed. Do not buy any protection plans from this company and do not shop at HSN. They are horrible people who lie and sell products at huge mark ups. This Asurion company is evil.

The only downside is the deductible since we have paid insurance for two years and never have used it. That should be considered in the deductible.     I have had several refurbished iPhones from Asurion. They are all horrible. Currently I attempted to return a refurbished phone with a malfunctioning battery (they all have malfunctioning batteries). I was told that if there was evidence that the phone had been dropped they would not replace the phone. My phone has a ding from being dropped. Please tell me who has never dropped their phone? A dropped phone has NOTHING to do with a malfunctioning battery on a refurbished phone. I paid my $150 deductible and continue to pay monthly insurance premium. I view this as a scam so that Asurion does not have to stand by their insurance, and an excuse to collect another $150 deductible to get another lousy refurbished phone. I will be filing a complaint with my state attorney general, federal consumer protection bureau & whoever else will listen.

    Very unhappy with both Verizon and Asurion. They give me a defective device after opening an account. It is supposed to be NEW. Asurion sent me a "certified refurbished" device and within 5 days...it doesn't work as well. No damage to the device. No drops or scratches, and it's cutting off on me. This is now my third device coming now. And I mentioned to them I want a NEW device. So if it is I will be filing a police report! I don't pay all of this money to get these kind of devices from a company who charges up the butt for their service!

    I am very angry and highly upset with Asurion first problem was trying to get my shipping label. Asurion webpage was down for two days. I called several times. No one knew what was going on with the webpage and then finally by the 5th call they were aware of the problem and didn't know what was going on after two days I received my shipping label. This is my second week on my claim and I still haven't received my reimbursement email. I called yesterday and this was the second time calling to check on it she told me that she would manually send it and it would take another 24-72 hrs.

    I have already waited 72 hrs and not received it. So I call again today and she says it was sent yesterday and it will take up to 5 business days. I am beyond pissed. I have 4 more products with them. I will be canceling them because this is too much. I even took off work to send the package off and when I went to print it the system was down. I am losing money with these people. They are stressing me out. I will never use them again.

    After 4 phone calls, customers service reps ranged from inexperienced/untrained to rude and uncaring. I was in need of just glass replacement. The only option is to get a whole new phone for $225. They claim to be now offering glass replacement however it requires you to be in an area that they have a technician which is apparently nowhere as I live 9 miles outside of a large metropolitan city. I was not informed of this, I was told by an agent that I would be contacted to set up my replacement appt. I was not contacted and only sent a additional email that said to edit my claim which only gave the option to do a full replacement. I called back Asurion and talked to another agent who told me that there was no other option other than a full replacement and the prior agent did not even document our (over 30 min) phone call. I will be canceling my policy, however that will require yet a 6th call to AT&T customer service.

    I have 2 payments left on my Galaxy S5 on a 2 year contract, I have carried Asurion insurance since the beginning. Recently, the phone got slower and slower, freezes up and the battery life is only 4 hours on a full charge. I took the phone to AT&T but they said they can't help because the phone is "too" old. Basically the software/updates for the Galaxy 7 causes problems for the old S5. The AT&T rep suggests I file a claim for a replacement phone. I go to the web address to file a claim, after filling out all my info the website directs me to call customer service.

    Customer service takes all the info to verify it's me, including asking me if I have ever owned this or that vehicle which I answered correctly. Then I am told I have scan my driver's license and email it to them to verify my account! Unbelievable inconvenience! I then ask to speak to a supervisor. After holding for 22 minutes I was disconnected. I know they have my phone number, birthday, city I was born in, 2 different cars I have owned because I gave them all of that information. However, no one tried to call me back after they hung up on me.

    I have had good experience in the past with Asurion. It appears that Asurion is no longer in control of their fulfillment process. However, in my most recent experience we discovered that a replacement iPhone shipped to us was not an actual iPhone. It was stamped as refurbished. The workmanship was poor with ill-fitting parts but the phone was functioning properly. After less than 5 months of use of the replacement phone, the screen popped loose from the enclosure and buttons stopped functioning consistently.

    We took the phone to a local Verizon store and they indicated the phone needed to go to an official Apple store. Upon arriving, the Apple tech didn't even touch the phone before saying "That is not an iPhone." He detailed his evidence by stating, "The Apple logo on back is raised instead of flush. The display screen is outside of the enclosure (case). The charging port is over-extended from the case. The rear camera sticks out too far, the enclosure is also bent and that is why the display came loose." We contacted Asurion and they at first indicated the iPhone was no longer covered because the screen was loose and this voided the warranty. After explaining that "of course the case had been opened--it's a refurbished phone", they agreed to do a one-time customer care courtesy replacement. When I objected to the characterization of it being one-time and an exception, they indicated they had no other process.

    We received the new replacement, and immediately took it to the Apple store for verification. Again, without even touching the phone, the tech was able to tell it was not an iPhone, but again a clone. They detailed all the same characteristics (which we already knew at this point). He looked up the IMEI number, and this phone was NEVER produced by Apple, the serial number is not even valid so he couldn't even report it to Apple.

    I contacted Asurion immediately, and the first Claims agent stated she was "completely flabbergasted" that this happened or even as to how it happened. I was put through to technical support, who then took the IMEI number down, reviewed the issue. I was told that we had been shipped a clone because no authentic iPhones of the model and color and memory were available at the time. She did an inventory check and identified an authentic iPhone in stock of a different color and agreed to ship that phone. We will check that phone when it gets here too.
