    We pay a monthly fee to have Asurion insurance through Verizon which we ended up having to use when our iPhone was broken in an accident. We then have to pay a $200 deductible on top of the monthly fees in order to get a replacement phone. We received a refurbished iPhone that NEVER should have left their warehouse. It had a significant internal hardware issue and Verizon sent me on a wild goose chase trying to fix it when I finally was told by someone at Apple that this defect cannot be fixed and the phone has to be replaced.

    Countless wasted hours later I am now dealing with Asurion. Finally after four phone calls to them a customer service rep agreed to send me a replacement phone. When I expressed my concern over receiving a phone with defective internal hardware, she refuses to address this concern and basically told me I get what I get. If I receive another refurbished phone with an internal hardware defect I will be contacting an attorney.

    My son dropped his Apple laptop around Christmas, the screen cracked. We have had the Asurion full coverage from ATT which covers all phones and laptops in your home. Anyway, I opened a claim ticket with all the information about my son's Apple laptop. They agreed they would be able to fix a broken screen and I sent the laptop in. They received it on January 9th and I received an email from Asurion saying I should hear from them in 3 to 5 business days. I didn't hear anything after that, I called every few days and they could not tell me anything.

    Then on January 24th I get an email that they ordered parts and it should only be a couple days delay. We kept calling and spoke with the Asurion ATT CEO office. They didn't know anything, they acted like they were emailing us a buyout and that the maximum was $1500, but our laptop cost $2,500 and we never received any emails. I'm not sure why they can't fix a screen on a laptop. They Apple store said they could fix it no problem.

    So now that we said we just want our laptop back, it's been a week and they don't seem to know where our laptop is or what is happening with it. This is unbelievable. I was told we would have the laptop back in 3-5 days, then 10 days and now it's been 25 days and we still have no idea what is happening with our laptop. This is the biggest waste of money!!! RIPOFF. Plus we have no way to get our laptop back. My son is a Junior in college, obviously he doesn't have his laptop with him at college. This is just crazy. When I call they act like I'm crazy for calling about my laptop. We seem to have no recall but to wait and pray that we get our laptop back.

When I reported the phones as broken they refused to send replacements unless I moved to a different address in New York, saying that my apartment building address was not allowable.     My experience with filing a claim was very extraneous. I was advised to file a claim online and did so. I have Total equipment protection included in my Verizon phone contract with Asurion and it covers me if my phone is lost, stolen, or damaged. After filing a claim online I was told I had to download the affidavit form and submit my government issued ID. I was told after submitting the forms it would be three hours before I was contact to resume my claim. After it has been approved which is completely and inconvenience the affidavit form was literally confirming account information which is already filled out when filing the claim and then I was told my claim was canceled. So now I'm still without my replacement phone and called in even chatted online and was given no further assistance. So the $9 additional that I pay a month for coverage on my phone was not helpful here. It is a week later and I still have no results and no replacement phone.

    This company seems like a scam! They send recycled broken phones to replace your broken phone. I got two "like new" phones from them after the first one was broken out of the box. That is also after paying over $200 in insurance, and not including the cost of the deductible. I've never been this mad at a company before in my life.     For the past week it has been store visit to phone calls with Sprint and Asurion. One, they don't give their Sprint employees/associates any manual on how to use the new system for repair/replace. Two, their customer service is unwilling to help. I called Sprint, they told the that I could go get my phone repaired or replace it over the phone for 150$. I went to the store about a repair for my phone, which is usually $100 for the repair, they didn't have the parts because Asurion doesn't give them any of the old phones to refurbish or use. (Scam) So the only other offer is the replace the phone for $200. Great. So instead of the in-store replacement for two hundred I decided to call Asurion to make the replacement over the phone.

    This is where it gets annoying. Online it says, quote, "To file your claim or check your claim status online, go to www.phoneclaim.com/sprint. To file your claim or check your claim or shipping status by phone, call Asurion Customer Care at 1-800-584-3666. If your device has been damaged, we will send you shipping materials to return it."

    Of course the online claim system is BROKEN and bugged out multiple times. Then I call and the woman on the phone tells me that Sprint SHOULD have the parts and that I need to go back to the store and figure it out. I ask her if I could make the replacement on the phone, she tells me no. In that quote it does say "If your device has been damaged, we will send you shipping materials to return it" right? I've been told twice now that I could make a replacement over the phone? I guess this woman, Sasha, did not want to help me? Now I have to go back to the Sprint store to file a replacement and wait 2 weeks to get a replacement. Honestly this experience was so ridiculous. I wish Sprint never switched to Asurion.

    They replaced my stolen phone and it was quick and secure just with the deductible wasn't so much. We pay a lot per year for insurance and still have to pay $150 per claim. Wish the deductible would go down with the age of phone. $50 deductible seem more responsible especially since we have only used the insurance twice in over 5 years.     Very dissatisfied, disappointed and heartbroken with Asurion in regards to getting my phone replaced. Not only do we pay monthly premiums and a deductible when tragedy strikes such as my case; but also deal with the fact that cell phone is on back order for 3-7 days. Mine was stolen a week ago and still no phone. I keep calling Asurion just to be told they apologize for the inconvenience. I'm sorry this is just unacceptable. Consumers shouldn't have to go through an act of congress to get their phone replaced. I hope mine does soon. Otherwise not sure what the next legal step should be. Please don't deal with this company if you can avoid it.

    My grand daughter is on my family plan. Her phone which is covered at 11 dollars a month shut off. Now I thought no biggie. Just contact Sprint and they will fix the problem right up. The rep at Sprint stated that I had to file a claim on the Asurion website. OK that's easy. Did what they asked and sent in all the right forms and ID. Got an email right back saying "yup we can get you a new phone right out." I thought yay!!!

    Filled out my contact and mailing address. Then the next step. "WE CAN SEND YOU A PHONE FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. $150.00." Are you freaking kidding me. That is what I can get a new phone for without your crappy ins. I told them they can kiss my you know what. Then they said "oh we can put your claim on hold for 60 days while you think about it." Hell no. Take your so called claim and cram it buddy. These ** are sharks moving in for the kill. Take your money and then when you need them they ask for more. Got rid of their pos ins.     Why I have to pay $200 to fix my broken screen? I reported my phone was has broken screen. And I got the link that show how to pay $200 and I will get a replacement phone. I don't need a replacement phone. I just need the screen to be replaced and Apple store can do this for $120... For almost 2 years I pay $10/month for Asurion for nothing!!!     Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I have filled out 4 affidavits and still not done, went to the Verizon dealer and they were not able to get a damaged phone replaced.
