Asurion was great when it came to replacing my lost phone but once my lost phone was found it was a nightmare. My phone was found the day the new phone arrived so I didn't take it out of the box. I had inquired about what would happen if I found my lost phone - and was told by Sprint I would be reimbursed once the phone was returned. The problem was with the activation process - so instead of activating my original phone they activated my new phone - which was sent back. I was then informed I would be without an active phone until Asurion received the new phone - unfortunately for me it was a long weekend so at this point I will be without a phone for a full week.
I do not have a landline so had to go spend MORE money and purchase a Tracfone... So just don't lose your phone and then find it! Just lose it!!! It took 5 phone calls to Sprint and Asurion to find that out. I was fortunate to have family visiting me so I could call from home and use my computer. Thought I was saving money by not having a landline but wrong again. This experience has been disappointing, extremely inconvenient and costly.

Best service I have ever got anywhere. The replacement phone showed up next day as well. Someone's doing things right. There's not much you could do better. Maybe make it easier to find the replacement contact number on Verizon's website. Great transaction.

My wife started having problems with her smart phone freezing up so she took it to our Verizon store. They looked at it and said it was an internal tech problem, but was covered by our Asurion insurance. The phone was replaced, no hassle, thank goodness for the insurance in this case.

The service I received was as expected. The service reps were very friendly and understanding to the situation. I received my replacement when they said I would, so I can't complain. Some people I know had negative things to say about their experiences with you all, but I can't speak as to what happened with them so I'm sure you all are easy people to work with as long as your services are being dealt with in the correct manner. Thanks for being there and getting me taken care of as fast as you did.

Had a problem with my tablet was replaced accordingly quick and easy. I would highly recommend them again. This is a great service to have added to your service to protect your device. The shipping only takes a day and is reliable.

Wish I would have been told to factory reset my phone since I couldn't remove battery or information. Otherwise, great service, very quick, although a bit expensive for insurance. Paying monthly and then $150.00 at replacement was a bit much. Has made me reconsider Straight Talk. Thank you.

The rep assisted me through the process of restoring the info I had on previous phone. He kept me on chat while my phone was rest and advised me the whole time until backup was complete (and successful). Once completed, we concluded chat and the rep called to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Our phone was stolen. Asurion was very helpful in getting a replacement and getting us back to phone service in a very timely manner. Operator was very polite. Very nice helpful once we got through all the voice prompts. You can do away with that. Would get the problems solved much faster.

Fast on time delivery! Then had a bad replacement. EVEN FASTER REPLACEMENT ON THAT ONE TOO. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had my first device stolen??? But was awesome replacement time! Easy documents and ways to send in (even by phone) overnighted... Not an issues to send out a new one again when the first didn't hold a charge.

Stepped on phone and broke screen. I always thought I'd never have to utilize my insurance on my phone because I thought I could be more careful. Thank goodness I did. Definitely worth having insurance. Got the replacement phone the next day. I highly recommend buying insurance for your devices. I have zero worries because my phones are covered.

My husband's phone was locked securely in my car when we went to the gym. I ended up having my locker broken into, and my purse was stolen along with my fob to my car, and the thieves stole my car, went to the nearby mall, & used all of my credit cards. We were both overwhelmed & shocked by what happened, and we then had only one phone between us. Asurion was able to give us very expedient service & overnighted another phone to my spouse. It made a difficult situation a lot easier, as we were then able to communicate with one another. Thank you for helping us out in time of dire need!

At first please I was not satisfied. After you guys sent me a new iPhone because the phone you sent was not working well, then, I love, and I think you should do that to all customer. We pay insurances, so we should be covered. I had hard time at first please because the phone you guy sent to me was not work. Very quick service. I just needed more time to get my old phone downloaded. I think there should be at least a month for a return. This would make less tech savvy customers happier! Other than that I was impressed how fast I got my replacement phone.

The representative was very nice. Great overall experience and even said I would receive a new case but the phone came with no case. That's the only thing stopping you from getting 5 stars. The phone is great. It came quickly.

Phone is in a waterproof case talking to the fish. I called the company insurance, paid $200. The next day I had another phone. I followed for once the direction and all my date & 12,000 pictures showed back up! I am happy. Not that they are not backed up everyday! On an external hard drive. The cost bothers me but I have a phone which is part of my business, & Life.

The service I received was both excellent & quick. I feel the replacement cost was too high and is cost prohibitive to many of your customers, so many simply go without it period. It's simply not worth it. Both the monthly cost and replacement cost have risen significantly.

I was extremely happy on how easy it was to call for the new phone on how fast it came to me in direct mail. It seemed like a brand new phone (Moto Z Droid) with the box that came in and with all the necessitates like the charger and aux cord. Also, no harm was done to the phone and was very well protected. I had a great experience. Got my replacement device the next day. Asurion had excellent coverage and they very responsive to customer needs. When the first replacement couldn't work they replaced it with a second replacement immediately without any questions. I would recommend coverage for everyone with a smart phone.

I am happy with my replacement phone with the exception of a few glitches. The screen is much too sensitive and when I turn it on I get a double Facebook screen. Makes me wonder if it is a new or refurbished telephone.

Fast service and delivery but the replacement phone sound cut in and out on all calls - have to replace again - just paid the deductible. I don't think I should have to pay again. No help in store - will be calling for service yet again as replacement phone now has issues.

Had a phone replacement. There was too much time taken to get the phone, customer service said at the latest it would be up to 8 days and it took 10-12 days. That is the reason why it's not a higher score.

First replace took time with a lot of red tape. 2nd time replace a defect was fast with less red tape. Was a little more helpful than dealing with Verizon at one of their main branch. If Verizon was better inform my phone issue could have been taken care on the spot.

I made a claim because I lost my phone and my new phone came the next day, even earlier than I had expected. I had a hard time getting it set up, but customer service was very helpful and walked me through it. I'm very pleased with the service.

Had a lost HTC phone and Asurion did not have a replacement so they provided a Samsung Galaxy J3 V in its place. The replacement was satisfactory. My issue is that it cost me $49 to get a replacement for phone of this type is only about $75. When I consider the premiums that I paid for the insurance and the $49 I really lost money with having insurance. I have since stopped all my insurance except for that required by Verizon and will just purchase my phones outright in the future. I could be insurance poor if I insured all my phones – Verizon now want $33 a month to do a group program but limited to 3 devices – no cost savings to me in that. Thank you for providing the service you did for the last claim.

Overall happy with experience. Once I got all my info and required paperwork- labels and stuff, it was quite simple. It was just getting to that point. The service was fast and the replacement phone was there at my front door in a snap and I got it set up without any headaches. I thought the deductible was a little high but beats paying full retail or buying a used one that might not last 6 months. I'm pretty darn happy. Thanks.

I pay every month for this insurance and then when I need to use it you guys still want to charge me 200 Dollars for fixing the phone or replace the phone I should say but still yet I pay every month for the insurance on the phone. This is like highway robbery from the poor people. Insurance companies are a huge rip off but if you don't have insurance then you are still in a bad buying in certain cases. Damn if you do and damn if you don't.

Everything about the experience was perfect except the replacement phone I received. I loved being able to drop the phone back into regular mail! That was awesome. The only problem is the phone I received takes nearly 8 hours to get a full charge and dies with very little use. There is a need to keep it on a charger at least 12-18 hours a day. The phone I turned in, that I used the same way was not like this at all. The amount of time it takes this phone to charge is unbelievable!!! I had worked hard with the phone I had before to keep my battery from being overcharged and now I have a phone that came with an overcharged battery. Other than paying that ridiculous charge to get a phone that doesn't charge properly, everything was great.

My phone was stolen at a truck stop in Illinois and I got it replaced 24 hours later without any problem. Work very well and was very happy that I had the insurance to replace my phone. I'm a truck driver and I'm kind of hard on my phone so this is the second time I've replaced it using insurance and very glad that I have it. Would never be without it.

I reported late in the afternoon that the glass on my iPad mini broke when I dropped it. Asurion sent a new one which came the next morning around 9:30. I wish all insurance claims were handled that easily and quickly.

Very quick to get my replacement phone. Everything was great even gave me a charger. Only problem was that the charger wasn't compatible with my phone. The rest of my experience was great. I just wish the deductible was lower. Other than that everything was great.

My phone was taken abroad and when I was back in the States my new phone was sent two days later. After not having a phone for a month this service was extremely appreciated! My phone was in perfect condition and I haven't had any problems. This is worth my monthly insurance phone payment.

Extremely disappointed with the failure to expedite my iPad Pro Online Insurance Claim, an unnecessary verification process for Verizon Employees, and lack of compensation for a used device. I refuse to pay your company for any service in the future and I am reluctant to push your product at work simply because of this experience.

The phone I had apparently wasn't replaceable. The sim card was a different size. Not complaining. The replacement is a better phone. Just had to jump through a lot more hoops since the sim card was a different size. In my opinion the replacement is a little bit more superior than the phone being replaced.

The process was very smooth and easily completed. I submitted the claim and within 24 hours we had the new device. We then shipped the old device back. Within another day or two the process was complete. This was the second time I've had to submit a claim on two separate devices. I can't say enough good things.

Not accurate. At the time I lost my phone (01/16/2017). Asurion did not have my type of phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (64 gigs) and they replace it with a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge (32 gigs). I requested a same phone but they couldn't because they didn't have one. After everything, they send me what they want and even so. They send me a used one (Galaxy 7) with no oem screen. The screen it's not working properly. The colors and the bright on it are wrong. Not bright enough and not sharp on the colors.

Rapid replacement happened as explained. Activation was simple and much appreciated by a not so tech-savvy grandma. Thank you for that. I know the instructions say "just drop in the mail box in the envelope provided", but I was uncomfortable doing that and did go to the post office and insure the phone before returning. They put another tracking label on so I hope that did not mess things up.

Glad I had insurance! My replacement is just like having my old phone back. The service was timely, though - as a long time customer - I would have preferred a lower copay. Copay should be commensurate with length of time with Verizon. But overall, I'm pleased and very thankful to not be stuck paying on something I no longer have.

After I drowned my phone your agents were friendly and efficient, and had a replacement for the broken iPhone to us the next day. However Verizon couldn't activate the replacement phone. After a brief, three-way conversation with you, Verizon and me, you sent out another new phone which we had the next day again and everything went well. The phone was activated and data recovered quickly and with little effort on my part. Very nice.

My phone was stolen on Christmas Eve while I was at a restaurant in Annapolis, Maryland. I was standing at the bar waiting for a table talking to a friend. I had placed my cell phone on the bar along with my car keys. When I went to pick up my cell phone and car keys to go to the dinner table, only my car keys were there. My cell phone was gone. After submitting a claim online I received a new phone promptly. Very positive experience.

I was very satisfied with the delivery of the device. However, the device itself is reconditioned and has presented some challenges in operation. It will freeze, drop calls and the reception at times is terrible. The contacts have yet to restore fully.

We contacted Asurion to replace a damaged iPhone. They were very helpful and we received a new replacement phone the next day. Worst insurance experience I have ever had. When I bought my iPhone 6 Plus I decided to sign up for insurance through AT&T. I had previously used SquareTrade for this kind of coverage but found the shipping time occasionally frustrating. I incorrectly assumed that I would be able to take a broken phone back into the AT&T store for replacement. That is not the case. Instead, you have to call Asurion and they ship a phone to you. Admittedly, the phone arrived the very next day, so that was excellent. Unfortunately they sent me a "like new" phone which was anything BUT "like new". From the moment I powered it up, the touchscreen responded erratically. You would press on the bottom of the screen and the Screen would register your tap as though you touched the middle of the screen. This was so bad that I could not complete setting up the phone properly.
So I called Asurion and they once again got me another phone shipped out which arrived two days later. This one seemed to work fine, and I was able to get it set up properly. However, once I had completed the setup, and had let the phone sit long enough to go to sleep, that is when the trouble began. I received a call maybe two hours after setting up the phone. I swiped right to answer and nothing happened. I swiped and swiped and swiped, but was unable to answer the phone. Perhaps three minutes later, the screen became responsive again. Or at least it became responsive everywhere except the space bar area. I could type a text message but every word joined itself together. Autocorrect fixed most of these run-on words but not all of them. It occurred to me that the space bar is placed exactly where the "swipe to answer" slider is placed. So it seems as though the touchscreen isn't working in that area of the display.
To be honest, the spacebar area occasionally works, especially after the phone has been awakened and has been running for a while. But after it has gone to sleep and been sitting for any length of time, the lower third of the screen simply doesn't work. It takes 3-5 minutes after pressing the home button to awaken the phone before you can use that area of the screen. Fortunately you can log on to the phone using a fingerprint, but you can't answer any phone calls. This is maddening.
So I called Asurion back again, and they told me that they would send out another new phone but not until at after their verification team called me. The verification team is essentially the fraud department. They want to speak to me to make sure that I am not pulling a fast one. THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM NOT COMMITTING FRAUD!! This is not only insulting but also hypocritical in the extreme considering that I AM THE ONLY PERSON being defrauded. Asurion tells you that they will replace your phone with either a new phone or possibly one that has been recertified like New. That is a bunch of hooey, because they don't provide either. They replace your phone with one which is clearly used, and which is just as clearly still broken. If anyone had spent even a minute testing either of the phones they sent me they would have known that there were real problems with them.
To be clear, I do not object to receiving a refurbished phone, so long as it really has been refurbished. Certainly I would prefer a new phone mostly because I know it would work. But I am fine with a certified like new phone. But what I am not fine with is being exploited. And that is exactly what a Asurion is doing to their customers. I will not use Asurion again. I will buy my SquareTrade warranty, I will be frustrated by the week and half long turnaround if and when I have to file claim, but I will remember that it is worth waiting the week and half because in the end I know that SquareTrade will either repair it, replace it, or send me a check for the replacement value.
I have had 12 different devices covered by SquareTrade in the past, and had four different devices which needed replacement. I never once had any issues with SquareTrade like I have had with Asurion. The fact that Asurion would have sent me not one but two obviously defective phones in a row speaks volumes about their idea of customer service. I don't want to have anything to do with them if this is how they treat their customers. I will certainly update this review if Asurion ever gets their act together. All I want is a usable iPhone 6 Plus... Which is exactly why I bought insurance in the first place. Is this too much to ask?

I know that many people enjoy the assurance that Asurion gives, that is the knowledge that a replacement device will be able to be obtained for a lower price. However, I would like to point out that for those with smartphones that are more than three years old, using this insurance is the least cost-effective thing to do. For a year I paid $10 a month for a phone that was three years old when I started coverage, thereby paying an additional $120 for my phone. Then when the phone actually did break, the deductible was a whopping $150, bringing my total to $270 for one three and a half year-old phone.
Having no other option at that point, however, I filed the claim, getting a refurbished phone to replace my old one, then immediately cancelling the insurance. Now, a mere eight months later, my replacement phone has broken, thereby wasting $270 for a phone that hardly lasted. The only positive thing I have to say about Asurion is that it is admittedly easy to file and act on a claim. I am still leaving a negative review, however, due to the fact that they are committing veritable highway robbery to many of their customers.

My phone was protected by a waterproof case, but the case failed and while waiting for a replacement case, my phone fell into a sump under my house and stopped working. I was able to get it replaced for a $100 co-pay. That's much better than the replacement cost if I had to buy the phone new. Very happy with that result.

My iPhone broke and I had insurance on it through AT&T so I ordered a replacement. Asurion sent me a "new phone" which ended up being some patched together, Frankenstein phone that was defective. After going to AT&T, and spending over 5 hours on the phone, Asurion still refused to send a replacement for the defective phone they sent me. I was told I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL $200 to replace the broken phone they sent me. During my 5 hours on the phone, I was transferred over 18 times, hung up on 3 times, and got 0 help from a single employee. Last time I will ever spend a dime on anything that is attached to their company.

It costs nearly $100 per year to have the privilege of getting a refurbished replacement phone for a mere $199 deductible but that's a total of $300 compared to the $600 I would have spent on a new phone. Certainly in the first year of a phone's life it is worth having the insurance, though I'm not sure when the insurance becomes overkill. Surely after the phone is two years old, it's better to just stop the insurance and just plan to buy a new phone if the old phone is lost or stolen.

The service was great. The customer service rep was on credit, nice and very helpful. However, I was very disappointed in the fact that they didn't have my phone in and the replacement that I received is horrible. It has so many issues. And when I tried to tell them that the phone would just freeze up and cut off in mid conversation and that people were not receiving my text messages and vice versa, Theo offered to try to trouble shoot it but none of that was effective. When I called back and said I'm still having issues and why can't I just have another brand phone...I was willing to get my old phone back the LG V10 where I didn't have any issues, but they were out of that phone then I have to just take what is given me...LG V20 Brand new phone that has all kinds of issues and they think it's ok to just give me a scrappy that halfway works...Instead of just sending me a different brand phone.

I received the phone just fine. There has to be a better way to set up the phone, however. I would recommend that consumers go to their phone carrier's store to get their iPhones set up properly. Initial repair on-site within 1 day went well. Tech was organized and appeared knowledgeable. Unfortunately, post-repair microphone didn't work. Replacement phone was shipped next day, which solved the issue. Every time I've had to submit a claim with Asurion, it has been a disappointment. Yes, a new phone does get to your place within one business day, but what about just a repair? I went in yesterday to repair the screen on my Samsung Note 5 (white). Even though the body of my phone is in perfect condition, I had to pay for a whole new Note 5 because they did not have the parts to repair a WHITE Note 5. I had to pay $200 to get an all new BLACK Note 5 instead of paying only the $100 that I was quoted to repair my phone.
I had originally from the start of my contract purchased a BLACK Note 5, but when I made a claim last year, they said the BLACK Note 5 was not available and I was forced to get an all new WHITE Note 5. Every time I make a claim, my phone's parts are somehow not available in my color and I am forced to switch colors plus in this most recent case pay twice as much as I should have had to. $200 vs $100 may not be a lot to your company, but it's a lot to me and I've been a customer for years to only get screwed over in the end. No, they weren't willing to give me any kind of discount for their company's lack of the correct parts.

I went to Asurion's web page, and filled out a claim. Less than 24 hours later, I had a new phone hand delivered to me by the UPS man. Included in my package was step-by-step instructions on transferring my info to the new phone. My package also came with a new charger, which was very much appreciated. All in all, my experience was fantastic, and I'm very grateful I had insurance on my phone! Asurion did an awesome job!!!

Quick and efficient service to get phone ordered. Phone was supposed to arrive next day. When checked shipping stated was delayed due to late pick up. Called to get options. Needed a phone quick due to going out of town. Service rep was not very helpful with options even though it was their fault. The phone ended up showing up that day but would have like a bit more from money the rep. Payment was easy and decision phone is great. Overall good experience just one bad seed.

I could not be happier with the experience. Received my replacement device within 2 days. Representative was happy to help and very accommodating. The deductible did increase and it's not even a new device. Not happy with the refurbished device.

Excellent customer service and the overall experience was great. The process was generally easy, however I was a little confused about the process of switching phones and the chip. I wish the instructions on that were a little easier to understand. But I appreciate the ease of replacement.

Everything went great with the Droid phone. Well worth the money for insurance. Phone was delivered very fast. Return was very easy. Would recommend them any time. Verrrryyyy satisfied with the service that they provided. Hope I never have to use them but I feel good if I had to.

I had a very satisfactory experience with Asurion and their customer service. The process was handled promptly and professionally. I went on their website to fill out the report and claim form and called them with some questions at which time they were very helpful and answered all my questions. Shipping was very quick also.

Within 3 weeks, 3 of our covered phones were dropped, got wet, or lost. No questioning or being accused of trying to rip them off. Transactions handled with compassion & fairness. Phones replaced within a day & damaged phones returned postage paid. Staff friendly & courteous. $99 VS $500+ for upgrade on Verizon was nice.

My son had some water damage to his phone. I filed a claim via email which was very easy to do. I had my son's phone within 24 hours of submitting the claim, it worked out very well. I am so happy I decided to obtain the insurance for both me and my son's phone when I renewed my Verizon contract. It is very easy to use and would definitely recommend your services to others. I lost my phone and thought I might have trouble getting it replaced quickly. I don't have a landline so being without a phone in this day and age is very, very inconvenient. The representative I talked to was very helpful and courteous. Her concern was getting me back up and running as soon as possible. The service was very helpful and prompt. My son had lost his phone in a restaurant while out. The following day Asurion was contacted to replace it. Very easy. Spoke with customer service and the phone arrived the next day. All my phones are insured with Asurion.

Everyone was very helpful and the replacement iPhone came the next day. No issues at all. Delivery was very prompt. The only issue for some would be delivery has to be signed for, so my way around that was to deliver to my work. It was no problem to change the delivery address and I thought that was great service. Job well done! Would highly recommend to carry this insurance considering the cost of buying a new iPhone thru your phone carrier.

I had no issues except I never received my car charger I was promised but other than that I received my new cell the next day; the operator was very nice. I was pleased how fast the call was. It was shipped FedEx next day, I had no issues reconnecting.

Glad we had this service. I only wish I could have picked up my phone the day I reported mine had been lost. The end result was a little inconvenient, but better than buying a new phone. I've lost some data which I expected, but overall my experience was positive.

Phone was stolen. Phone replacement was fast and simple, all information was taken online. Status and shipping updates were emailed to me on a daily basis. And the best part was that we received our replacement in a few days as promised. We then took the phone to our local dealer who set it up quickly.

Never thought I would actually need the insurance, but I paid a lot for a new S7 and felt that maybe I should protect my investment. Took 2 days to replace my iPhone 7 (on Verizon) after I lost it. Online claim was fast and easy. The only thing was that deductible had to be paid upfront before replacement ship. At&t with Asurion was after it's received.

My daughter lost her phone on a vacation and had to fly out three days later with no way to communicate. I was able to contact Asurion for a replacement. Asurion did a great job of getting a replacement phone out quick and delivered to her the next day. Can't think of anything that could have been done better in regard to this replacement experience.

I had been carrying this policy for almost 2 years. When my phone quit functioning properly (and paying the deductible) these guys replaced my phone with an upgrade. The service was fast and my phone is amazing! Would highly recommend if you are buying a high end phone!

The only thing that was not perfect with my replacement note 5 was the s Pen. It doesn't work. That seems to be the weak spot for the phone. That and the charging port. That's not the fault of Asurion, that's more a Samsung thing I would say. We got the phone in a timely manner and it was easy to return the broken phone.

Got a replacement phone from Asurion and after a few days the Wi-Fi just quit on my new phone. Not sure if it was hardware or software but Asurion had me another replacement within 24 hours free of charge. Glad I have the insurance.

I'm satisfied with the transaction, however I still think the deductible is too much. The replacement phone can not cost what I paid, so I am still paying for another phone in addition to the monthly fee, so it's definitely not a bargain to have this insurance unless you're looking at full retail price, which no one pays anymore.
