As long as you don't try and charge me $500.00 if the Find iPhone was on! My iPhone 6S Plus wouldn't power on and the cloud service was not available each time I tried! As far as the transaction it went very easy and professional on the phone service was given!

The only issue I have with the phone I was sent is that when making calls the person on the other end cannot hear me clearly. They always say it sounds like I am underwater and muffled sounding. Other than that I am pleased with the phone I was sent.

My daughter's iPhone was stolen at school. When it was obvious we weren't getting it back, we filed a claim. Asurion sent us a replacement phone right away. The problem was that the phone didn't work. At all. So we returned it again and we're sent another replacement. This one has worked perfectly and we only had to wait an extra day.

Nick dropped his IPhone and cracked it. I placed a call to customer service to make the claim and the new phone arrived within 48 hours. Customer service is perfect! I appreciate the urgency with which the claim was processed. Thank you.

Great service... Phone was lost/stolen while my son was out on the town. He didn't notice it missing until he got home. Tried to find it but to no avail. Contacted Asurion and initiated replacement actions. Phone arrived next day. Wow!!!

My experience with the failure of my 1-1/2 year old iPhone and Asurion is a mixed bag. What went extremely well: Online process of requesting a replacement phone. Delivery of the replacement phone(s) the next morning. Activating the new phone(s). Ease of returning defective phone. Unfortunately, I had to repeat the above process three times. The first replacement worked for about a week, and then the screen began to freeze up and sometimes even rebooting the phone would not fix the problem. Second phone didn't work at all.
At that point I got the first person I spoke to on the phone, with whom I had trouble communicating, to transfer me to a supervisor. The problem was not unprofessional conduct, I have a hearing loss and the representatives accent was hard for me to understand. The supervisor was also very professional. She reviewed my case, explained that the supply of refurbished iPhone 6s was low, and said that they were going to upgrade me to an iPhone 7 at no additional charge. This was late in the day, and the iPhone 7, new from the factory, arrived the next morning. It works perfectly. I am very pleased with the final resolution to this problem, partially because I am not accustomed to warranty issues turning out this well.
Five stars for responsiveness, both via the website and with humans. Two stars for Quality Assurance on Refurbished phones. Fix the QA problem, keep the five star aspects just as they are, and you will have service that is a model for all industries. I would also like to add that my iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 both lasted over two years before starting into slow death, which means that I had time to replace them before they quit working altogether and was never without a phone I could use. That never happened with Blackberry or any of the other phones previously owned. I hope that my iPhone 7 repeats this history.

The lady that helped me was patient, polite and very thorough. She walked me through the entire process. She even called me back to make sure everything was going well with my phone. I told her I was not familiar with android phones and not too savvy with technology. She took her time and was not impatient but very professional. Kudos to her!

Losing a phone can be a horrible experience! I use mine not only for my businesses but to keep in touch with my daughter at college. So I was at a huge loss when my phone came up missing! I got online and immediately reported it. The next day I went back online and filed the insurance claim. That was on a Sunday. I had my NEW phone in my hands on Monday at 2:30 pm! The package had easy to read instructions on how to set it up and what to do next! Love the experience!!!

Process needs to be a little better. My phone was no longer available and it took two phone calls to get an agent who understood that the phone was a waterproof/resistant phone and what you had for replacement "in like kind".

Overall my experience was to my satisfaction and my only complaint was that I did not receive confirmation that the damaged phone was receive at your facility. I contacted a service rep to be sure that it had arrived and I would not have any additional charges to my account. Everything prior was handled very well and appreciate the ease to have the replacement sent to us so quickly.

I dropped my iPhone and shattered the glass. I went to Verizon who confirmed my insurance and provided the web contact info. From there Asurion sent a new phone and packaging to return my new phone. All in a few days.

Once I got someone on the phone, the process was easy. The operator asked me a few questions and I was done. I will say, I am not an iPhone fan and once my son's replacement phone arrived, that's when the headache began. Only iPhone could help us unlock the phone, Verizon customer support cannot help with iPhone products. There is a HUGE difference in customer support assistance which just reinstates why I am not a fan of iPhone. I have only had to use Asurion a couple of times and I have never ran into any problems. (I just wanted to share my iPhone replacement experience.)

Called Asurion because my husband had lost his phone and they no longer carried the phone that he had so it was replaced without any problems with a more up to date phone. We received the phone the next day and was really pleased with how quickly we got the new phone.

This phone was replaced in just 24 hours so that was great. However the phone would not function at all when we returned it to Asurion yet they still called to say that we did not turn off the "Find my iPhone", which we did do online. I just wonder how did they know this function was on? Phone did not turn on at all and when they called I told them it was done online through iCloud. To that the rep just thanked me and ended the call?? How do they know if it's off or not when the phone would not function? How do they know that I did turn it off (which was actually done before the phone was returned)? Totally confused by the phone call.

First off, as a preface, this is quite literally the first negative review I've ever posted online about a business. I even created a Consumer Affairs account solely for this purpose, I was so frustrated. Onto the actual issue. I was trying to file a simple claim for a replacement phone, but Asurion assured that that would be infinitely more complicated that necessary. First, their automated form wouldn't accept my shipping address as valid, causing my claim to become locked and requiring the creation of a new claim in which I would ship to a different address.
On the new claim, they then insisted that I print and scan a signed affidavit as well as a scan of my ID. After waiting for them to approve that information, they then informed me that I would have to wait approximately 24 hours for a claims adjuster to review my claim -- information that hadn't been communicated to me before requiring me to go through the hassle of printing and scanning. The extra 24 hours makes a significant difference to me, since a working phone is crucial to my professional life, and I can't go three working days without one.
The good news? If I had any questions I was welcome to call their 1-800 number to reach a customer service representative. On my broken phone. Instead, I used their live chat function, and Tara, the customer service representative, was condescending and thoroughly uninterested in finding a more workable solution. I'll be taking my money elsewhere and paying slightly more for a replacement phone directly from Apple. And you better believe I'll be canceling my Asurion policy.

When I called them they advised me that their system and website were down. It would take 20 days to analyse the TV for repair and I'd have to send it to them. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS IS A DUMB DYSFUNCTIONAL COMPANY I would have not added this "repair contract" to the Walmart purchase.

It was pretty easy to get the replacement phone. The only minor issue was I had to call and couldn't get it done on the web page. The phone my son had was not available and they had to find a comparable phone to replace it with. The lady I talked to was very nice and helpful. I did receive the phone the very next day at no charge. Overall the experience was very easy.

It was easy to make a claim, had the phone the next day. Got a label to send the old one back. They made it very easy to send the old one back as fast as the new one arrived. I just wish it wasn't so expensive, but it was not as expensive as replacing it outright.

Asurion was great when it came to replacing my lost phone but once my lost phone was found it was a nightmare. My phone was found the day the new phone arrived so I didn't take it out of the box. I had inquired about what would happen if I found my lost phone - and was told by Sprint I would be reimbursed once the phone was returned. The problem was with the activation process - so instead of activating my original phone they activated my new phone - which was sent back. I was then informed I would be without an active phone until Asurion received the new phone - unfortunately for me it was a long weekend so at this point I will be without a phone for a full week.
I do not have a landline so had to go spend MORE money and purchase a Tracfone... So just don't lose your phone and then find it! Just lose it!!! It took 5 phone calls to Sprint and Asurion to find that out. I was fortunate to have family visiting me so I could call from home and use my computer. Thought I was saving money by not having a landline but wrong again. This experience has been disappointing, extremely inconvenient and costly.

My wife started having problems with her smart phone freezing up so she took it to our Verizon store. They looked at it and said it was an internal tech problem, but was covered by our Asurion insurance. The phone was replaced, no hassle, thank goodness for the insurance in this case.

Some people I know had negative things to say about their experiences with you all, but I can't speak as to what happened with them so I'm sure you all are easy people to work with as long as your services are being dealt with in the correct manner. Wish I would have been told to factory reset my phone since I couldn't remove battery or information. Otherwise, great service, very quick, although a bit expensive for insurance. Paying monthly and then $150.00 at replacement was a bit much. Has made me reconsider Straight Talk. Thank you.

The rep assisted me through the process of restoring the info I had on previous phone. He kept me on chat while my phone was rest and advised me the whole time until backup was complete (and successful). Once completed, we concluded chat and the rep called to make sure everything was satisfactory.

My husband's phone was locked securely in my car when we went to the gym. I ended up having my locker broken into, and my purse was stolen along with my fob to my car, and the thieves stole my car, went to the nearby mall, & used all of my credit cards. We were both overwhelmed & shocked by what happened, and we then had only one phone between us. Asurion was able to give us very expedient service & overnighted another phone to my spouse. Phone is in a waterproof case talking to the fish. I called the company insurance, paid $200. The next day I had another phone. The service I received was both excellent & quick. I feel the replacement cost was too high and is cost prohibitive to many of your customers, so many simply go without it period. It's simply not worth it. Both the monthly cost and replacement cost have risen significantly.

I was extremely happy on how easy it was to call for the new phone on how fast it came to me in direct mail. First replace took time with a lot of red tape. 2nd time replace a defect was fast with less red tape. Was a little more helpful than dealing with Verizon at one of their main branch. If Verizon was better inform my phone issue could have been taken care on the spot.

Had a lost HTC phone and Asurion did not have a replacement so they provided a Samsung Galaxy J3 V in its place. The replacement was satisfactory. My issue is that it cost me $49 to get a replacement for phone of this type is only about $75. When I consider the premiums that I paid for the insurance and the $49 I really lost money with having insurance. I have since stopped all my insurance except for that required by Verizon and will just purchase my phones outright in the future. I could be insurance poor if I insured all my phones – Verizon now want $33 a month to do a group program but limited to 3 devices – no cost savings to me in that. Thank you for providing the service you did for the last claim.

Overall happy with experience. Once I got all my info and required paperwork- labels and stuff, it was quite simple. It was just getting to that point. The service was fast and the replacement phone was there at my front door in a snap and I got it set up without any headaches. I pay every month for this insurance and then when I need to use it you guys still want to charge me 200 Dollars for fixing the phone or replace the phone I should say but still yet I pay every month for the insurance on the phone. Everything about the experience was perfect except the replacement phone I received. I loved being able to drop the phone back into regular mail! That was awesome. The only problem is the phone I received takes nearly 8 hours to get a full charge and dies with very little use. There is a need to keep it on a charger at least 12-18 hours a day. The phone I turned in, that I used the same way was not like this at all. The amount of time it takes this phone to charge is unbelievable!!! I had worked hard with the phone I had before to keep my battery from being overcharged and now I have a phone that came with an overcharged battery. Other than paying that ridiculous charge to get a phone that doesn't charge properly, everything was great.

Not accurate. At the time I lost my phone (01/16/2017). Asurion did not have my type of phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (64 gigs) and they replace it with a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge (32 gigs). I requested a same phone but they couldn't because they didn't have one. After everything, they send me what they want and even so. They send me a used one (Galaxy 7) with no oem screen. The screen it's not working properly. The colors and the bright on it are wrong. Not bright enough and not sharp on the colors.

I know the instructions say "just drop in the mail box in the envelope provided", but I was uncomfortable doing that and did go to the post office and insure the phone before returning. Worst insurance experience I have ever had. When I bought my iPhone 6 Plus I decided to sign up for insurance through AT&T. I had previously used SquareTrade for this kind of coverage but found the shipping time occasionally frustrating. I incorrectly assumed that I would be able to take a broken phone back into the AT&T store for replacement. That is not the case. Instead, you have to call Asurion and they ship a phone to you. Admittedly, the phone arrived the very next day, so that was excellent. Unfortunately they sent me a "like new" phone which was anything BUT "like new". From the moment I powered it up, the touchscreen responded erratically. You would press on the bottom of the screen and the Screen would register your tap as though you touched the middle of the screen. This was so bad that I could not complete setting up the phone properly.
So I called Asurion and they once again got me another phone shipped out which arrived two days later. This one seemed to work fine, and I was able to get it set up properly. However, once I had completed the setup, and had let the phone sit long enough to go to sleep, that is when the trouble began. I received a call maybe two hours after setting up the phone. I swiped right to answer and nothing happened. I swiped and swiped and swiped, but was unable to answer the phone. Perhaps three minutes later, the screen became responsive again. Or at least it became responsive everywhere except the space bar area. I could type a text message but every word joined itself together. Autocorrect fixed most of these run-on words but not all of them. It occurred to me that the space bar is placed exactly where the "swipe to answer" slider is placed. So it seems as though the touchscreen isn't working in that area of the display.
To be honest, the spacebar area occasionally works, especially after the phone has been awakened and has been running for a while. But after it has gone to sleep and been sitting for any length of time, the lower third of the screen simply doesn't work. It takes 3-5 minutes after pressing the home button to awaken the phone before you can use that area of the screen. Fortunately you can log on to the phone using a fingerprint, but you can't answer any phone calls. This is maddening.
So I called Asurion back again, and they told me that they would send out another new phone but not until at after their verification team called me. The verification team is essentially the fraud department. They want to speak to me to make sure that I am not pulling a fast one. THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM NOT COMMITTING FRAUD!! This is not only insulting but also hypocritical in the extreme considering that I AM THE ONLY PERSON being defrauded. Asurion tells you that they will replace your phone with either a new phone or possibly one that has been recertified like New. That is a bunch of hooey, because they don't provide either. They replace your phone with one which is clearly used, and which is just as clearly still broken. If anyone had spent even a minute testing either of the phones they sent me they would have known that there were real problems with them.
To be clear, I do not object to receiving a refurbished phone, so long as it really has been refurbished. Certainly I would prefer a new phone mostly because I know it would work. But I am fine with a certified like new phone. But what I am not fine with is being exploited. And that is exactly what a Asurion is doing to their customers. I will not use Asurion again. I will buy my SquareTrade warranty, I will be frustrated by the week and half long turnaround if and when I have to file claim, but I will remember that it is worth waiting the week and half because in the end I know that SquareTrade will either repair it, replace it, or send me a check for the replacement value.
I have had 12 different devices covered by SquareTrade in the past, and had four different devices which needed replacement. I never once had any issues with SquareTrade like I have had with Asurion. The fact that Asurion would have sent me not one but two obviously defective phones in a row speaks volumes about their idea of customer service. I don't want to have anything to do with them if this is how they treat their customers. I will certainly update this review if Asurion ever gets their act together. All I want is a usable iPhone 6 Plus... Which is exactly why I bought insurance in the first place. Is this too much to ask?

Long story short my phone fell out of my jacket ended up on the ground, began looking for it, drove away and came back to retrace my steps. I evidential found it and upon leaving or returning I ran it over. Asurion was lightning quick in replacing my phone. Well worth the money.

I know that many people enjoy the assurance that Asurion gives, that is the knowledge that a replacement device will be able to be obtained for a lower price. However, I would like to point out that for those with smartphones that are more than three years old, using this insurance is the least cost-effective thing to do. For a year I paid $10 a month for a phone that was three years old when I started coverage, thereby paying an additional $120 for my phone. Then when the phone actually did break, the deductible was a whopping $150, bringing my total to $270 for one three and a half year-old phone.
Having no other option at that point, however, I filed the claim, getting a refurbished phone to replace my old one, then immediately cancelling the insurance. Now, a mere eight months later, my replacement phone has broken, thereby wasting $270 for a phone that hardly lasted. The only positive thing I have to say about Asurion is that it is admittedly easy to file and act on a claim. I am still leaving a negative review, however, due to the fact that they are committing veritable highway robbery to many of their customers.

Great program. Replaced my iPhone 6 Plus in less than 15 hours. From phone call to home delivery!! The customer service was great! Friendly! Felt like I was talking to family!! Would not be without Asurion insurance. It was a lifesaver!!!

My phone was protected by a waterproof case, but the case failed and while waiting for a replacement case, my phone fell into a sump under my house and stopped working. I was able to get it replaced for a $100 co-pay. That's much better than the replacement cost if I had to buy the phone new. Very happy with that result.

Phone was dead after incident. Salt water is conductive so no chance. Filed claim online late in evening. Replacement phone arrived next day around noon. Inserted new SIM and was back in business that afternoon. Could not ask for more. Very professional!

iPad replaced promptly and customer was pleased at the fast, courteous replacement - insurance and warranty were addressed. Returned defective iPad in mailer package supplied by Asurion and customer satisfied. Thanks for prompt service with the problem. Customer had assumed insurance was included when initial purchase/contract was signed (warranty on effect).

My claim was easy to file. The phone said it would be there the next business day. It actually took less than 24 hours to receive my new phone. The phone worked (and continues) to work great! I have never had an issue with Asurion and I am glad to do business with this company. I would recommend Asurion to any of my friends.

Apart from the relative difficulty of being approved to get the new phone (I had to call and explain my situation rather than make an online claim because I'd filed a claim somewhat recently but that's because I'm notably irresponsible with phone hence why I have insurance), the service is great. I got my phone quickly and they even gave me one with more storage because my specific color and storage had been discontinued.

I had a problem with credit card and I had to have a money order upon delivery of replacement phone. When I called again, the representative was absolutely wonderful and helpful. She completed the process and I was able to get my phone as well as some accessories. Good recovery, good job.

My iPhone broke and I had insurance on it through AT&T so I ordered a replacement. Asurion sent me a "new phone" which ended up being some patched together, Frankenstein phone that was defective. After going to AT&T, and spending over 5 hours on the phone, Asurion still refused to send a replacement for the defective phone they sent me. I was told I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL $200 to replace the broken phone they sent me. During my 5 hours on the phone, I was transferred over 18 times, hung up on 3 times, and got 0 help from a single employee. Last time I will ever spend a dime on anything that is attached to their company.

The first person I spoke with was not helpful. She said that my problem would not be covered by my insurance. However when I spoke with a supervisor, the woman was wonderful, explained my options and helped me solve my problems. I ended up very satisfied.

It costs nearly $100 per year to have the privilege of getting a refurbished replacement phone for a mere $199 deductible but that's a total of $300 compared to the $600 I would have spent on a new phone. Certainly in the first year of a phone's life it is worth having the insurance, though I'm not sure when the insurance becomes overkill. Surely after the phone is two years old, it's better to just stop the insurance and just plan to buy a new phone if the old phone is lost or stolen.

The service was great. The customer service rep was on credit, nice and very helpful. However, I was very disappointed in the fact that they didn't have my phone in and the replacement that I received is horrible. It has so many issues. And when I tried to tell them that the phone would just freeze up and cut off in mid conversation and that people were not receiving my text messages and vice versa, Theo offered to try to trouble shoot it but none of that was effective. When I called back and said I'm still having issues and why can't I just have another brand phone...I was willing to get my old phone back the LG V10 where I didn't have any issues, but they were out of that phone then I have to just take what is given me...LG V20 Brand new phone that has all kinds of issues and they think it's ok to just give me a scrappy that halfway works...Instead of just sending me a different brand phone.

Asurion replaced damaged phone. They were cordial and kind on the phone. I believe this company lives up to a high standard of excellence. I do think the info provided by the online submission needs a little tweaking. There were some things that needed to be refined and the answer was not always black and white.

The claim process was very easy and worry-free. Within two days, the damaged phone was replaced with a like-new unit of the same model. I would recommend the insurance for anyone with kids. Especially those that are prone to accidents.

I received the phone just fine. There has to be a better way to set up the phone, however. I would recommend that consumers go to their phone carrier's store to get their iPhones set up properly. It's cumbersome and time-consuming to do the setup. It should be left to professionals who do this daily.

Initial repair on-site within 1 day went well. Tech was organized and appeared knowledgeable. Unfortunately, post-repair microphone didn't work. Replacement phone was shipped next day, which solved the issue. Only complaint: took about 1 hour on phone for them to figure out what to do about botched repair - no process to send tech out again, but everyone worked to resolve the issue.
