    I was happy with the service personnel but my first replacement phone was rebuilt and fail again within two weeks. The customer service after this event was stellar and I was sent a new phone that is working. Overall I thought sending a rebuilt phone the first time was disappointing as it had a deep scratch in the display that someone tried to buff out. When it failed I was not surprised.

    My experience with Asurion was good. But the device shuts off on its own and won't restart most of the time. Even when I get it into safe mode (which it won't do most of the time), it won't restart. The power switch does not seem to work most of the time. I took it to the Verizon store, who told me to report this to you. They tested it and concluded it is a lemon. My brother Ralph ** has the master account.

    I had a cellphone on my plan that was water damaged. I called AT&T to report and use the insurance I pay for. I was transferred to Asurion. The rep was very unintelligible in speaking over the phone when explaining the process. When I asked her to repeat because I couldn't understand, she basically hung up on me - transferred me back to AT&T. Otherwise, very easy to click the link and process the claim. I had to call back to get a claim number. When I finally got through, they were quick and dismissive - wouldn't hardly let me a word in, like the representatives have something better to do and I'm wasting their time.

    You guys sent me the wrong phone 2 times in a row. If it weren't for me double-checking with the lady that helped me on the phone for the 3rd phone, I would've been sent the wrong phone again.     You guys are the biggest disappointment in my opinion. Every time I had to use you guys I always got a used phone that already has some kind of a problem. I don't understand this warranty thing. Basically what we pay for is for a phone to get by quickly but in reality they are obviously used phones and again they always have some kind of an issue. Since you know that we cannot send them back to you because we need the phone all the time you take good advantage of the situation. I am sure most people feel this way.     The service was horrendous and the replacement iPhone 6 is horrible. I will never recommend this service to anyone. I feel like I have gotten screwed over and I feel bad for everyone else who also has. The phone crashes constantly and GPS does not work. It took forever to get the replacement and I had to file a claim twice. I was threatened with a fee for delaying my return of the old device but I had trouble deactivating the find my phone service.     I thought having insurance would replace the phone, but not with such a large deductible! For the monthly charge for insurance, I don't believe it is worth having the insurance through Verizon. But my wife is paying for the phones and insurance on my sons, if it was me I would cancel it. Take a chance on breaking it, you have to pay a third of the phone anyway! $200.00.

    I purchased insurance through Sprint when I added my son to my account. Knowing how rough teens can be on electronics I decided to have both phones covered. First of all I was never informed that there would be a deductible, since I hadn't had coverage like this in quite some time. Unfortunately my phone was the one that broke so I asked to have it either fixed or replaced. They replaced it for $100. Ok. Then I receive the phone, in a plastic bag that says refurbished. Wasn't expecting that, but OK. I then had trouble transferring the info, Sprint was not helpful in this matter whatsoever. So after being a little ticked off I cancelled the insurance. Then about 1-2 weeks into having this phone I am having trouble making calls. Called Asurion and they told me to bring it to Sprint to have it fixed.

    Well then life happened and to correct the problem rebooting it every so often worked as I was unable to get over to Sprint for the repair. Fast forward about a month now it will not stay connected to WiFi. No wonder our data kept getting used within 2 weeks, and I had blamed it on my teen, when it was my phone all along. So I call Sprint to schedule a repair, that's when I really flipped. Apparently the "warranty" on my phone is no longer valid because I cancelled my policy! What?!? So I called the insurance to explain what happened to my phone and the associate couldn't do anything for me. So I asked for his supervisor and this is where it gets good.     After realizing I was paying $60/mo. for insurance and in order to replace the phone I had to pay $200 I have cut out the insurance on all phones. I would have to lose a phone almost every month and possibly every week. The first refurbished phone we eventually had to send back and who knows how long this second one will last. You would think if you had to pay $200 in addition to the $10/mo. for the insurance that you would at least get a brand new phone. Don't buy the insurance. It is not worth it. Total rip-off.

    Asurion replaced my phone with my insurance last October. The phone has since then only been giving me trouble. I've kept it in a LifeProof case the entire time yet somehow all of the volume options including Alarm, ring, video, music, making calls have stopped working. No troubleshooting has fixed the phone. My phone is useless except for texting and some social media, or making phone calls in the car where I can use my car bluetooth. I am already very unhappy with phone replacement they have given me, but since I have asked them to replace my phone with the warranty. I was supposed to receive my phone last Wednesday, but they put a 24 hour hold on my account for no apparent reason said the sales associate I talked to on the phone.

    She said her manager would contact me to fix the hold, he never did. Which is fine. I would just receive the phone on Thursday. But no, it's now Sunday and the phone has not arrived. I called today, and she had entered my address wrong. So the package was being held where it was. Now, supposedly I have to call them back on Tuesday to give them permission to resend my package. I should not have to call again. I shouldn't have had to call to find out what was going on with my phone. I should have been notified of what was going on long ago. I am not impressed by the customer service in the least bit, and at this point I just need a phone that works.

My replacement phone had a line down right side of the screen from top to bottom, almost like it was dipped in something. It randomly drops the viewing brightness to 0% when you're using it even with a full charge. And the cord has to be wrapped around the phone just right for it to charge.     Lost Note 3. Replacement sent was a Note 5 since they don't make more Note 3. When ask about being able to add more memory agent said that you were able to.     The phone I received has major issues with the battery. I'll have a fully charged battery for about a 45 min until it goes down to 50%. I'll be work so I'm not allowed to use my phone but when I go on breaks it's halfway dead. I don't have apps running so it's not in use when I'm not in. Asurion replaced both phones within 24 hours! That was the best part. Having to get two phones in a 10 day period was not. Not having all data cross over, not good. Having all my prior calendar appointments be hours off, not (After 2.5 hours Verizon and I fixed this by changing the time zone on those appointments). Still don't have all my data (lost memos, appointments in calendar and contacts). This transition between phones sucks and needs to get better... stop advancing what the phones can do: focus on streamlining the process of data transfer.

    The instructions for returning a device do not effectively cover what to do if the device is non-responsive. Trying to turn off "find my iPhone" and resetting the device is not covered when you cannot unlock the phone. Throughout the process, there are multiple indications that you will be charged if the procedures aren't followed. It took me multiple phone calls and online chats to finally get the device to the point of return, and even then I wasn't sure it was completely done. In all honesty, the experience encourages a customer to simply report the device as lost rather than damaged. I will say that all the employees I talked to were patient and attempted to help, but none were actually able. I figured everything out on my own after multiple online troubleshooting.

    Purchased protection plan through Asurion for a cell phone. The phone was damaged and filed a claim and paid a $149.00 deductible. Received a phone from Asurion that did not work - even a Verizon store could not get the phone set up to work. Returned the phone to Asurion for a second replacement phone. The second phone worked properly but after two weeks the screen started to crack even though the phone was never dropped. The back also started to peel and did not fit properly which meant the phone was no longer water proof. Called Asurion to report the issues with the screen and the back and was told the one year warranty they advertise was only for software and not the actual phone.

    Agent all but said that I must be lying about the phone because the screen could never crack. If I wanted the phone replaced I would need to pay $299.00 this time and they would send another phone. Verizon intervened and set up a call with a supervisor at Asurion who stated the warranty would cover the phone. Transferred to the warranty department and the agent said she could not hear me and hung up. I then received an e-mail for a new claim but could not process it because it was not set up under the correct phone number.

    Rather than spend more time with them I instead cancelled the insurance on all of my phones. The quality of the replacement equipment from Asurion is poor. Two phones one of which did not work at all and the second falling apart after two weeks. Nothing but a rip off buying the protection plans - won't do it again. Talking to any of their agents is a waste of time.

    UPDATED ON 06/19/2017: I wrote a negative review of Asurion a month ago based on their sending a defective replacement phone. Last week I received an e-mail from the office of their CEO asking me to call their 800 number to resolve the complaint. Turns out the number they supplied was invalid. I called the Asurion office and was given the same runaround as before. The replacement phone Asurion provided developed a crack in the screen after one week, since that time the back cover has cracked and the charging cover has fallen off the phone. This was also the second phone that was sent on the claim as the first phone did not work at all and had to be returned.

    The response from the office of the CEO was that I should file another claim and pay an additional deductible to get another replacement. Totally disreputable company. The one year warranty they claim is only for the software in the phone - if it falls apart they provide no coverage which is a complete rip off. Two phone. One does not work the other is physically falling apart. Speaks volumes about their quality control. I have cancelled the Asurion insurance on all of my phones and would never purchase this coverage again-a complete waste of money. Anyone purchasing a cell phone should think twice before doing business with Asurion.

    When signing up for the insurance plan through Verizon it is not clear that used ("refurbished") phones will be sent as the replacements. Nor is it made clear when you fill out the claim form and pay the deductible. It is, in fact, not clear until you receive the piece of junk they send as a replacement. I'd rather pay full price for a new Google Pixel, but now I'm stuck with this garbage. I tried to call Asurion customer service but can't reach them. Of course if you search hard, you can find reference to "replacements may be refurbished devices" but they hide this detail intentionally. Do NOT agree to this insurance plan!     The replacement phone they had sent me was working fine then one morning it kept saying either I didn't have a sim card inserted or no service. I called and told them the problem and they sent me another phone with no problem and I got it the next day!

    Phone defective. Because screen had a little scratch I was advised to just pay the deductible and get a new phone. I would have preferred to send in the defective phone but I was told because of the scratch they may say we caused the issue and will be charged $299. As far as the processing of the return and getting the replacement phone it was exceptional.
