    Yes I insured my phone, good because some dishonest person stole it. I'm still making payments on my phone and assumed I would receive a brand new one since I'm spending an extra 200 on top of those payments. I end up with a refurbished phone that is slow and gets too hot all the time. This is the second time I have had to replace a device and would not bother insuring my phone with this company again. Also the charger they sent with the phone is not the original and doesn't work.

    You repeatedly replace phones with subpar phones. They either don't function well, or have a battery problem. Have had to replace replacements six or seven times! It appears phones are replaced with trade in phones which were supposedly functional. However they aren't worth their plastic.

    Service was good. But I feel the deductible is really high. I think it should be lot less. The 200.00 deductible is just about the same as ins a vehicle. At one time I paid a smaller deductible and was really happy. You need to review your deductible charges for a phone.

    I can't begin to rationalize the low quality and the high cost of your services. I am constantly being hounded for the damaged phone that was sent to weeks ago and now I am being threatened with a $300 charge for a phone that is beyond repair. And it is my phone! I paid for it! This all seems like a scam to take money from hardworking people with little to no choice in phone coverage and availability. Feel free to contact me regarding this review.     The instructions for returning a device do not effectively cover what to do if the device is non-responsive. Trying to turn off "find my iPhone" and resetting the device is not covered when you cannot unlock the phone. Throughout the process, there are multiple indications that you will be charged if the procedures aren't followed. It took me multiple phone calls and online chats to finally get the device to the point of return, and even then I wasn't sure it was completely done. In all honesty, the experience encourages a customer to simply report the device as lost rather than damaged. I will say that all the employees I talked to were patient and attempted to help, but none were actually able. I figured everything out on my own after multiple online troubleshooting.

    I called Asurion and talked with a manager about accidentally sending my phone back to you with all my pictures still on it. She said no problem. It had not been received yet and she would set up a block so that they return the phone to me so I can then get my pictures back. I have not received it and it's been about two weeks. The guy at Comcast helped me switch everything over but he neglected to transfer my pictures and I didn't realize it. My new grand babies pictures were on there, my son's wedding, my mother that passed... They were all on there and I am so disappointed about this. Any chance you still have my phone with my pictures??

    Purchased protection plan through Asurion for a cell phone. The phone was damaged and filed a claim and paid a $149.00 deductible. Received a phone from Asurion that did not work - even a Verizon store could not get the phone set up to work. Returned the phone to Asurion for a second replacement phone. The second phone worked properly but after two weeks the screen started to crack even though the phone was never dropped. The back also started to peel and did not fit properly which meant the phone was no longer water proof. Called Asurion to report the issues with the screen and the back and was told the one year warranty they advertise was only for software and not the actual phone.

    Agent all but said that I must be lying about the phone because the screen could never crack. If I wanted the phone replaced I would need to pay $299.00 this time and they would send another phone. Verizon intervened and set up a call with a supervisor at Asurion who stated the warranty would cover the phone. Transferred to the warranty department and the agent said she could not hear me and hung up. I then received an e-mail for a new claim but could not process it because it was not set up under the correct phone number.

    Rather than spend more time with them I instead cancelled the insurance on all of my phones. The quality of the replacement equipment from Asurion is poor. Two phones one of which did not work at all and the second falling apart after two weeks. Nothing but a rip off buying the protection plans - won't do it again. Talking to any of their agents is a waste of time.

    UPDATED ON 06/19/2017: I wrote a negative review of Asurion a month ago based on their sending a defective replacement phone. Last week I received an e-mail from the office of their CEO asking me to call their 800 number to resolve the complaint. Turns out the number they supplied was invalid. I called the Asurion office and was given the same runaround as before. The replacement phone Asurion provided developed a crack in the screen after one week, since that time the back cover has cracked and the charging cover has fallen off the phone. This was also the second phone that was sent on the claim as the first phone did not work at all and had to be returned.

    The response from the office of the CEO was that I should file another claim and pay an additional deductible to get another replacement. Totally disreputable company. The one year warranty they claim is only for the software in the phone - if it falls apart they provide no coverage which is a complete rip off. Two phone. One does not work the other is physically falling apart. Speaks volumes about their quality control. I have cancelled the Asurion insurance on all of my phones and would never purchase this coverage again-a complete waste of money. Anyone purchasing a cell phone should think twice before doing business with Asurion.

    I've been getting conflicting information every time I call this company and speak to service reps. I tried to get Asurion to send me a cheque vs a replacement phone as when my phone stopped working. I was going away on vacation and needed a phone right away. They said because they have one in stock that they would send me a phone. I do not need a second phone. Why do I have to pay a deductible for something that I was told would be free upon purchasing the insurance. The other complaint I have is that they send a 'refurbished phone.' Upon reading other's experiences they sound like crap. If I wanted a refurbished phone I can easily get one from a cell phone store. Totally displeased with the service. Don't waste your hard earned dollars.

    When signing up for the insurance plan through Verizon it is not clear that used ("refurbished") phones will be sent as the replacements. Nor is it made clear when you fill out the claim form and pay the deductible. It is, in fact, not clear until you receive the piece of junk they send as a replacement. I'd rather pay full price for a new Google Pixel, but now I'm stuck with this garbage. I tried to call Asurion customer service but can't reach them. Of course if you search hard, you can find reference to "replacements may be refurbished devices" but they hide this detail intentionally. Do NOT agree to this insurance plan! (Frankly all I can't believe all the 5 star reviews are real.)

    Filing the claim was well guided and quick once I completed the claim. The deductible was expensive and I didn't get a screen protector.     So the first time I break my phone, I get a new one. Yep, I pay a MONTHLY premium, then ALSO have to pay a deductible. Sounds reasonable to get a new ($400) phone. Not the $800 phone, just the $400 one. My deductible is 25%. Seems a bit high, but ok. Second time I break it, repeat of the first, 25%, an extra 100 bucks, on top of the monthly premium, but this time I get a refurb. The phone has never worked right. Always drops signal, can't stream music because it drops. Can't talk on the phone, drops signal. But not all the time, just sometimes. Gee, thanks for 'certifying' that refurb. Great job.     Phone defective. Because screen had a little scratch I was advised to just pay the deductible and get a new phone.     We were paying for phone insurance for 3 phones for almost 5 years. Asurion was agreed to replace one of our 3 phones, but when me and my son wanted to replace our iPhone 5s after using them for 4 years and we were offered another old model (iPhone SE). When we called customer service they offered us the new model but for the full price. Asurion now doesn't let us replace it online and we had to call again. The representatives were transferring me here and there, asked me for non-existing numbers and proofs of purchase for our 5-year-old phones and so on. Honestly, it took forever. We now want to close our insurance, and we'll never advise it to anybody. Waste of money and time. Thank you, Asurion.

Upon receiving my new phone I was not aware I had to send my broken phone back to you or get penalized with fees for not returning it. I am kind of confused on why I would have to send it back when I pay a monthly insurance fee in the event it breaks, lost or stolen. If I were have to lost it then would I have to pay a higher fee to replace the missing phone? If that's the case then why am I paying a monthly fee for insurance?     BIG THING: I received emails telling me to turn off "Find My iPhone" and to reset my phone. Before you send those emails, you need to send an email telling us to upgrade our phones to the latest setting and back them up if possible. I spent 5 miserable hours trying to restore a back up of my phone. I got lucky, but this stress could have easily been avoided. PLEASE CHANGE THIS!! Overall, this was a great experience. The phone came super quickly and the packaging made the entire process easy (besides what I discussed above). $99 was a very reasonable price. I would recommend this service to friends.     Called for dishwasher repair on 04-21-17. Sent someone out on 04-25-17. I have been getting the run around ever since. There is a part that is needed and has been discontinued.     The right side of the screen of the replacement phone does not work all the time. Something is wrong with it.     This is not the first time I've used Asurion. Years ago I had my first iPhone for less than a year when I needed a replacement and went through 2 replacement phones before I had one that "worked". Years later nothing with Asurion has changed. My battery on my iPhone 6 was wearing out and I contemplated purchasing an upgrade or simply using the insurance to get a replacement.

    My first replacement was horrible. I went to Verizon to have the phone activated and immediately attempted to make a phone call. After much frustration I realized the microphone didn't work. I could only make a phone call on speaker phone. I was leaving to go out of town and had to make do. I put my destination in the GPS only to realize the GPS did not work! I tried downloading apps and the location in the phone just didn't work. Worst road trip ever. So I eventually got another replacement. I spent hours doing another content transfer. And realized when setting up the security on the phone, the thumbprint recognition feature did not work. In fact the touch sensitivity on the phone is off. I couldn't get back to the home screen so I've had to set up a home icon for when the home button will not work.

    To top things off. I let Asurion know multiple times that I cannot turn off the find my iPhone feature on my original device. I was locked out of my iCloud account and have also been on the phone with Apple multiple times only to be told there is nothing they can do except for me to create a new iCloud. Even so I have received an Email stating I have 10 days before I'm charged $500. The suspense and headache has been a nuisance. I wish I would have just purchased a brand new phone instead of dealing with this for the past month and it's still ongoing. I've spoken to so many of Asurion's representatives and only ONE has been knowledgeable and pleasant - some think you can take a battery out of an iPhone or are just plain rude. I can assure you I will never pay for Asurion insurance again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Every replacement phone is NOT checked thoroughly, but a rather useless, refurbished POS.

    The service associated with the iPhone replacement process was fine, but the quality of the product was a disappointment. I assume sending a refurbished phone is allowed by contract, but the one sent won't charge beyond 75%. The fix was to send it back and start over with another phone. This is a royal pain to do and a big inconvenience. I chose to keep it and deal with the shortcoming. Quality control is extremely lacking. They did not have any LG V10 available at the time, so she upgraded me to a LG V20 instead. The only problem was that it was on back order and it took Asurion about a month to get my replacement to me. I was lucky enough that my old phone was still operational for the duration of the delay.
