I made a phone claimed. In which I claimed I misplaced the phone. I got my replacement and everything is well. I recovered my old phone with damaged screen. Replace it and try to used it, I am told that the phone was stolen. Great, I call the carrier AT&T and they said it was Asurion who blacklisted the phone. After paying a deductible of almost $225, and paying off my phone to AT&T for almost $800, both phones are blacklisted as stolen? Made monthly payment installments for almost a year and paid insurance too, who is stealing from whom? I would never hire the services of this company, nor recommended to anyone. There are better options out there. Really bad company!!! Really bad service!!!

When making a claim for a lost or stolen device, we will place the stolen device on a blacklist in order to prevent anyone who may have the device from activating it or trying to use it. If that device is found, per policy, you will need to return the salvaged device back to Asurion. Unfortunately, that device is not able to be used. The exchange of phones was quick and easy. Simple claim form, had the phone in two days and dropped the old one in the prepaid envelope to return. It couldn't have been easier. The phone was only a few weeks old and it was extremely distressing to think it was broken. Asurion made it much less stressful.

They were very helpful, friendly, and fast. They wanted to help me out and made sure I was stratified before they hung up. I would have gave a higher rating but I was told it would be a new phone and it was a recertified one.

Reported phone stolen, but it was recovered within 4 days. Even so, company handled claim well and then killed it when we reported the recovery of the phone. Very satisfied. We were also very satisfied in the past year when my grandson's phone was drowned in a river during a canoe trip; easy claim for the replacement phone.

I have an iPhone device through AT&T with which I make monthly insurance payments for. My screen is damaged and since Asurion doesn't have this service everywhere, I waited until I was in a location where I could get this done (4 hours away from my home). So I went through the procedure of scheduling an appointment online to get an Asurion tech support person to come to my location to get it fixed, at a time slot from 3.00-5.00 pm. 3.00 pm comes and goes, and I don't hear from anyone. At 4.30 pm I get a call from the tech associate, who says he's stuck in traffic and would only be able to come by 6.00 pm. A little annoying, but it's not his fault so I continue to wait. Come 7.30 pm, I have not heard anything - my call to the technician goes to voicemail and my text message is unanswered.
I call the Asurion customer service and am told that the tech support just decided not to show up (without telling me!!) since it was "outside the appointment time slot". Incredulous, I ask to speak to a higher up personnel whose name is Ms. **. She is absolutely unhelpful and unwilling to be flexible in ways to figure out how to solve my problem. I explain that I am traveling for the next 3 weeks and am unable to get my screen changed (leaving me with the only option to pay the $112 fee to replace my entire device) but she is not sympathetic.
There is no graciousness shown in her behavior to me, nor did she try to compensate me for this gross unprofessionalism shown by the Asurion tech support. Furthermore, she insinuated that as the damage to the phone was caused by me that I should be willing to deal with whatever inconveniences associated with the problem although I had followed due procedure to get it fixed. It's been a long time since I've received such terrible customer service, and I know I will think twice now before paying for phone insurance through this company.

These criminals do everything they can to reject your claim. They wasted 4 hours of my time and made me jump through hoops for 2 days before rejecting my claim. These type of companies are worse than dealing with the government or health insurance industry. Now that is saying something!! Horrible people!! Don’t make the same mistake, do not use their insurance service!!

When the phone was delivered it was delivered in the account holder's name which is for my son so when the carrier deliver the package the company said there was no one working there and I appreciate them taking it back to FedEx because so many carriers just drop packages off and hope to someone get it. But at least they came in and I inquired and mention the name on the package so I think you guys did great.

It was my first time ever damaging my phone, went to my carrier and they assisted me with beginning my claim, Asurion was in contact with me via email within hours, had a resolution to my claim within a day and a new phone within 2 day. Easy and hassle free process.

Daughter's phone fell in water. Y'all sent a new one. The tech was very helpful, personable and pleasant. Fast service. Replacement phone was here the very next day. Super easy to return the old phone. Placed it in the envelope sent and dropped it in the mail.

My phone died on Sunday 11/11. I filed a claim with Asurion on 11/12 with the false promise that I would receive a device within 1 to 2 days. After numerous calls to their customer service department and nine days later I have yet to receive a replacement device. Every time I call customer service I get a different answer. The first agent blatantly lied and said I would be receiving my replacement device within 2 days. She also said she could see a tracking number (although I was not able to see one on their website). The next day I followed up and they said my model/replacement was not available and obviously there was no device on the way as the previous agent had stated.
After three or four calls to customer service I was finally able to reach a competent service agent who said he would upgrade it to a Galaxy S7 since the S6 was not available. I have yet to see the replacement device which he said would arrive this week. After chatting with an online agent today, I am told that device (Galaxy S7) is not available either and it will be another 7 to 10 business days before they have the device in stock and another 1 to 2 business days before it is shipped to me. I asked if I would still be charged the $75 fee if I were to cancel the claim and just opt to buy a new phone from Best Buy and the agent online said that was not optional (the $75 fee would still be assessed).
Needless to say I am appalled at the service and the waste of money for having to pay an insurance which cannot resolve my issue in a timely manner. I will definitely not be referring Asurion to family or friends and will let everyone I come into contact with know about the terrible service of this so called insurance company.

5th insurance claim in as many years. Every time, the process is seamless, and the phone arrives the next day. Great service, as long as you understand that the replacement phone will most likely be refurbished. Test it hard the first week, and make sure it's working properly. If not, they will send you another phone.

Service was nice, kept me informed. Automated system a little confusing. But called and was immediately helped. Waited approximately 7 days for stock. Once received phone needed to call to get it activated, person there was not as helpful. Kind of short but I got new phone and am happy.

Called to have replacement for first phone I got that didn’t work, received the next day, they were very helpful when I called to ask about what I needed to do. The gentleman that I spoke to was very nice and courteous. Told me no problem getting another one to replace the first one that I had got on the insurance claim that did not work. Hopefully this phone will work.

I have been paying for insurance to replace a cracked screen, if necessary. Well, that time has arrived and I have had my appointment scheduled and cancelled twice by Asurion. When I ask to speak with a manager, I am told no. I don't see the value in paying for something monthly that I don't actually receive. While coming to me is convenient, I am continually having to schedule time to be available for the technician. Not a big deal when you keep your appointment. Rescheduling one, sure. But another cancellation... Why bother paying for this "service" anymore?

I received my replacement device in a timely manner, the next day as promised, along with instructions on how to configure the new device and return the damaged device. However, the shipment did not include the pin to open the SIM tray.

Very easy to use. I made 1 phone call about a faulty charging port. They agreed to replace and a new phone arrived the next day. A return mailing label and packing supplies and tape were all provided so only had to make a quick trip to the post office.

Filed a claimed last week on Wednesday around 4:45 pm. I believe it was and received the replacement that was identical to what I already had the following day at 2 pm. The customer service and willingness to help was amazing and so professional.

I was very disappointed in the way my phone was replaced. First of all, I paid for a multi-device protection package-insurance at a cost of $35 a month. When I needed the phone replaced I got the runaround. First I was told to submit online as this was faster. I had to wait 24 hours for a decision, then had to call and was told I didn't submit enough paperwork and would send me the forms I needed. After waiting another 24 hours I was then asked to submit more paperwork and identification before it could be processed. This went on for two more times asking for different information or paperwork every 24 hours. It took almost two weeks before I got my replacement phone. When all the paperwork should have given to me from the start and Asurion should have contacted me if they needed more information not me having to call every 24 hours for more nonsense!

My phone completely died on me. I didn't drop it or get it wet or anything else...it just died. I tried to file a claim on Asurion's website and was given a message to call customer service. After speaking to them and verifying all my info I was told that I would get an email within 24 hours to complete the claim. I never received an email but went back to the website and the option to complete the claim was there so I completed it. It said my replacement device would be shipped within 1-2 business days. After waiting 2 days I checked back on the website and it said my replacement device was shipped but there was no tracking information available. I was trying to be patient so I waited another day, still no phone (now 4 days since I began the claim).
I initiated an online chat with customer service and was told that the delay was due to a "heavy demand for that device." I was told to continue checking the website for tracking and if it didn't arrive the next business day to call customer service. Of course it did not arrive so I called. I was told by this representative that the replacement device was on backorder!! She said it was showing her that it was ready to ship so I should keep checking the website for tracking throughout the day and should receive my phone the next day. After checking the website most of the day, by evening there was still no tracking.
I called customer service again and was told that it has still not been shipped. She said it might ship tomorrow or the next day and just to wait for an email with tracking info. I have now been a week without a working phone and no one seems to be able to help me any more than to tell me it MAY ship and to wait for tracking information. I think making someone who has been paying premiums and a deductible for a replacement phone for years with very few claims go through this is completely unacceptable. It has been a week now since I started this claim and I still have no phone and no one seems to know how to help me!

I had a few hiccups because my daughter is out of state, her phone would not power up and we had already activated an old/replacement phone. Overall a fairly easy process, but since we had to have the phone delivered to my daughter at college, rather than to my home it required additional documentation which held up the process. Everything that was promised was delivered on time. The only drawback was that you couldn't replace my phone with a duplicate phone, and I had to learn how to use the new phone and had trouble retrieving files from the cloud. That had more to do with the cloud than with Asurion's service.

My son who is attending college in Virginia dropped his phone and it didn’t work. We contacted Asurion and you sent a new phone to him. That is the extent of what should happen. However, for some reason Asurion continued to believe that my son had not taken his “find my iPhone” feature off the phone. My son is very adept in the iPhone world and he assured me that he had followed the directions and taken the feature off in his Apple account, yet I received at least two emails threatening that we would be charged because the “find my iPhone” feature wasn’t turned off. I don’t know if this is a common experience, I would hope not because this was poor customer service.

The claim filing paperwork is very simple and straightforward. The directions for what happens once the paperwork is uploaded could be clearer. I assumed that once I received the "we have your paperwork" notification that my replacement phone would arrive within "one to two business days", as stated. That's not quite true. It's "one to two business days" after the paperwork is **reviewed** and the claim is approved, which, in my case, was three days after I uploaded the paperwork. So it was actually four to five business days until I received my phone. The process was painless, but the wait was frustrating.

We spent sufficient time troubleshooting the device, but when it was apparent that it was dead, Asurion had a new one on our desk the following day. My tech even walked me though step by step as I filed our insurance claim. We were also surprised to see our deductible was about half what it was listed due to the program's benefit of a disappearing deductible. We have no complaints at all-only compliments for Asurion and their tech staff.

Beware the fine print in the contract. I bought Asurion insurance without realizing that, if my phone needed to be replaced, it would be replaced with a reconditioned phone (one that doesn't work, as it turned out). It started with a cracked screen. Asurion sent a repair person who replaced the screen, but it was unusable because the touch screen function didn't work. So I was duped into sending Asurion my perfectly good, almost-paid off phone and getting a replacement that was reconditioned. It did not work. It couldn't connect with wifi. I called Apple for help. I was told that the model (A1660) was faulty and to call Asurion for another replacement.
I demanded a new phone (the contract says "new or reconditioned" replacements). I was assured several times that the phone would be new. It arrived the next day. It was not new. It was the same model (A1660) reconditioned phone that I had received before. I called Asurion and all they said was "nothing we can do about that." I took the phone to the local Verizon store. I was told that that phone wouldn't work either. Apparently, many people have had the same experience. Rather than deal with an endless stream of unusable phones sent to me, I purchased a new phone and canceled my (useless) insurance. I strongly recommend not buying Asurion insurance.

Asurion insurance company is the worst insurance company that I have had to deal with EVER!!! I have literally been trying to get a replacement phone for 5 hours and still no phone. All the money that we have to spend on the insurance it should not be this hard. You pay every month for insurance and then have to pay $199 for the phone.
I have 4 phones on my lines and all iPhones. Unfortunately, my daughter is the only that has had to replace a phone. You have to sign this affidavit and upload your ID. Okay that's fine. Then you have to turn off the "find iPhone" which took 2 calls and the person at Apple Care was great at getting that done, but we had to remove my daughter's whole phone. I was fine with this because I thought she would be getting another phone the next day while she is away at school. But they won't accept the affidavit using a PDF, so if you don't have a printer or your printer is out of ink, you have to go to another store and print it off and spend more money. Then come back and take a picture of it with your ID and then upload it. After all of that, if you continuously try to upload it, it won't let you upload it because you have tried too many times and you get to call in again and try to upload it again which still doesn't work.
After several calls and being frustrated to the max at this point, they tell you even if you do get everything upload it takes 3 hours and it is closing time, so my daughter is literally without a phone. This is on a Friday and my guess is they are closed on the weekend, because the call says 3hr business days. So, I get to call tomorrow and see if I can have my daughter's phone turned back on so she can at least still have Siri make her phone calls and I can make sure she is okay.
I also will be finding out what other insurance there is to go through, because I do not ever in my life want to deal with this company again. If there is not one, I still will just do without. I could just order her a new phone and not deal with the insurance and cancel it behind all of this hell, but I have literally had this insurance of when they first switched over, but for as long as we have had Verizon which is 10+ years and this would be my second claim. This will also be my last claim with Asurion. I can promise you that. In short if you can get another insurer, by all means do it. This one is not it. Thanks for nothing.

I was extremely pleased with the service. We submitted the claim on Saturday afternoon and my son had his replacement phone by Monday evening. I also love the idea of having the option of my deductible decreasing due to no claims. It ended up saving us a ton of money when we ended up actually having to file a claim. When I saw a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad W530 workstation for $530.00 with 16Gb of RAM and a 500gb SSD on Overstock.com, I just had to get it. When I noticed the SSD was listed as “Generic”. I thought I’d better get the 3 year warranty from Asurion. Sure enough, when the laptop was delivered the SSD was dead and it had never even been used. I contacted Asurion to ask them if I was willing to pay the difference between a generic SSD and a Samsung SSD, could they do that. The short answer was no. They said they would replace it with the same brand of drive that it has in it. It wouldn’t have even cost them 1 cent more, but no. So I’m changing the SSD myself to make sure it will still work for years to come. Beware using Asurion!

I have paid a monthly insurance premium for over a year. Broke my phone, had to pay another $150 for replacement and received a defective "AT&T assured restored phone". It is worthless and I can't get it replaced immediately. I have to wait for a review which was to be 24 hours and 2 days later find out they need my ID and an affidavit. They sent THAT info to my mom and not to me although ALL my paperwork has my number and email. I've lost work hours and opportunities. When both my mom or I called, we kept getting the runaround. They guaranteed her I would have a phone by tomorrow but now she finds out I need to send more documentation. I do not recommend the insurance. They are good at apologizing though.

Overall, a decent experience. The only thing I didn't like was being asked by five different operators to confirm the same information. I feel like it would've cut in half the amount of time I had to be on the phone.

Have returned my VIZIO 50" T.V. 3 times for the same issues. They do not seem to check the unit properly for it to continue having the exact same issues. This is now time 4 and I cannot get a replacement or refund. I would NOT recommend purchasing their warranty for a T.V.

Response was on time which was desperately needed for work. The dealer store had to be pushed a little to accommodate us. Service could have been better. Finally the manager came through to solve the problems. Also a certain co-worker was helpful. One of the co-workers though, just gave us a number to call at first without giving us any assistance. I really get exceptional service w/ Asurion and the shipping speed is next day if I have all information in by 6pm which is a plus but the only thing that I do not like is having to submit all the paperwork. I have to go to the library and get the paperwork which I have to pay for. The only reason why I’m saying something about this is because I had a claim before this for my phone and I had already submitted the same paperwork. This was a painless and instant solution to my cracked screen. I believe I filed a claim on the myAT&T app which was extremely easy and simple. I received the phone in 2 days on a Saturday, and they provided a return box for the damaged phone along with instructions to call a number where someone helps you get your new replacement phone set up. Asurion scammed me out of $500. I purchased a phone with Verizon and was issued the Asurion insurance. I paid the insurance for over a year and half without ever using it. I had a slight crack on my screen and sent the phone to Asurion with their promise to fix the screen for $30 in 3 business days. 4 business days pass and I receive my same cracked screen phone pack in the mail. When I called Asurion they could not provide any information as to why my phone was sent back. I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor and her response was "Maybe they thought it was beyond repair?" Not trusting with my phone again, I'm still rockin' the cracked screen today. Asurion just takes your monthly payment and does not provide credible insurance. Liars, thieves, scum of the earth!

My original phone stopped charging, so I forked out the money for a replacement phone. Less than a week later, the cheap, poorly manufactured charger that came with the phone broke. Shouldn't have been a problem, but no other charger would work on the phone, even the charger that came with my original phone. The replacement phone also glitched and froze regularly. I wish I could refund my money, return this new waste of a phone, and go buy a Nokia. Asurion said they would replace the charger, once I fill out a bunch of paperwork that my computer has been repeatedly unable to open due to too many redirects.
However, the replacement charger is likely to break again if it can't even last a week of gentle use, and then I'll be stuck in the same boat with a phone that doesn't charge. Also, it is impossible to contact the company without a phone, and now that my cell is not working and since I have no access to other phones, I have no way to contact this company. This seems like a gross overlook on the part of a company whose whole purpose is phone replacement.

The ins. claim was very stressful... had to fax papers saying who I was or they would not do claim. And we carry Asurion for all phones but still had to pay around 400 dollars. WHAT'S THE USE PAYING INS. THEN, we are thinking about dropping ins.

I bought a 5 yr protection plan through Home Depot when I bought my LG Washer 4 yrs ago. The washer was very loud and not draining well so I knew the bearings were going and called Asurion. That was 10/20/18. Asurion sent out one incompetent tech after another to diagnose the machine. First said diagnosed bearing issue and said drum needed replacing. They will order parts. Never did! A week later they sent out another tech who said the same thing. Never ordered parts. Their company said they need a senior tech to look at it 4 days later. Senior tech doesn't do any diagnostics. Just puts it on a speed wash cycle. Says bearing gone. Drum needs replacing. I questioned him on how he doesn't know anything else is wrong since he doesn't look at back of machine. I press him more and he gets mad. Scribbles out what the problem was and puts down I overloaded the machine. He also left his tools.
When he wants his tools back I tell him not until he corrects the invoice to the true problem. He does that, I give him his tools and he leaves. He proceeds to tell Asurion that I stole his tools and also forced him to write down a diagnosis that I wanted. I have Asurion send another tech who tells them he was here which he never was and he tries to order a bunch of parts for the machine. Asurion won't do that unless he has pictures to prove problem. I tell Asurion this guy wasn't here and he was lying and they want to send him back to prove the machine has a leak which it doesn't!!
I called Asurion corporate to complain. Corporate tells me they won't cover the machine because one tech said I stole his tools and made him falsify the diagnosis - this is a complete lie!! Corporate would not believe me!! I had to pay to have the machine diagnosed which it needs new drum, drum system assembly and one new shock absorber! SO since the one tech lied to Asurion they won't cover anything and basically call me a liar and a thief. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE treatment of me as a customer - Asurion only allows incompetent, lying techs to come to your house. Their (tech companies they work with) Yelp reviews are all horrible!! This just shows what a bad company they are who could care less about their customers. I have bought protection plans on all the appliances I have bought through Home Depot but will NEVER do it again!!

Called to replace cracked screen on Samsung Edge S7. Paid $899 for the phone brand new, and paid an additional $559 over the course of 2.5 yrs for the insurance from Asurion. Never used the insurance for the first 2.5 yrs, until I cracked the screen. When I called to replace a cracked only screen they stated I needed to pay another $149 for phone replacement. After explaining to the customer service woman that only the screen was cracked, there was no other damage to the phone, she called me a liar and became extremely rude.
It appears after speaking to a supervisor that she was wrong, and Asurion would "be happy" to replace my screen. But after they do so I will cancel due to the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. Please note the supervisor was happy to replace the screen but he did not acknowledge the rude behavior or name calling I experienced with his employee even after I insisted he review the audio tapes. A simple acknowledgment that I was just called names by some random call center lady would have sufficed. I paid $559 for insurance to be called a liar by a call center woman the first time I ever try to use it?!?! I don't think so... DO NOT EVER USE ASURION, AND IF YOU DO, EXPECT THEM TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND NOT COMPLETE YOUR CLAIM!

Could have been me overlooking the policy but I didn't know that if I had to get a replaceable phone it would be a refurbished one. I had to get another phone because I cracked my screen the first week I had my new one. Used the insurance and was sent a refurbished one, certified... but used. Not cool, considering I just blew $750 on a new phone. Didn't know the insurance worked like that. But the phone looks new and it works and I got a cover for it.

This is the second time I've made a phone claim through Asurion, and it was a much more complicated process this time. The first time I was able to do the whole claim online, but this time I had to download and print a physical form, only to re-upload it (why couldn't that be done online)? Also, I'm an authorized account user, but not the account holder, so I had to forward everything to the account holder, whereas last time I was able to do the entire claim myself. Finally, when my claim was received and I had to confirm my address, the website was down for maintenance for about two days. That said, once my claim finally was processed, I received my new phone very quickly and my deductible was lower than I expected it to be. I will keep this policy because it's cheaper than buying a new phone every 2 years.

The phone that was damaged was not the primary account holder's. The paperwork was filled out by the person registered to the phone number of the damaged phone. It was not clear that the primary account holder needed to issue the paperwork so everything needed to be submitted a second time. After that slight delay, everything was handled in a courteous and professional manner. The new phone was delivered promptly. The customer service people were knowledgeable and walked me through the transfer of information from the damaged phone to the new device. I would recommend Asurion with no hesitation.

I'm a pediatrician who needs to be on call 24/7, and can't afford a phone that won't work. Spent >over 20 hours with Asurion who referred to Verizon coaches to try to replace a defective battery on a replacement phone for which I paid $150. Verizon then lost data with factory reinstallment which did not work. Ultimately sent to Apple Store by Verizon, paid $30 for battery, and phone works. But Assurion denies reimbursement because they say they would have sent a new phone (their reps didn't say that ever). Complicated bureaucracy who follow the fine print like a defective bible, all the way up the corporate chain.
