    My original phone stopped charging, so I forked out the money for a replacement phone. Less than a week later, the cheap, poorly manufactured charger that came with the phone broke. Shouldn't have been a problem, but no other charger would work on the phone, even the charger that came with my original phone. The replacement phone also glitched and froze regularly. I wish I could refund my money, return this new waste of a phone, and go buy a Nokia. Asurion said they would replace the charger, once I fill out a bunch of paperwork that my computer has been repeatedly unable to open due to too many redirects.

    However, the replacement charger is likely to break again if it can't even last a week of gentle use, and then I'll be stuck in the same boat with a phone that doesn't charge. Also, it is impossible to contact the company without a phone, and now that my cell is not working and since I have no access to other phones, I have no way to contact this company. This seems like a gross overlook on the part of a company whose whole purpose is phone replacement.

    The ins. claim was very stressful... had to fax papers saying who I was or they would not do claim. And we carry Asurion for all phones but still had to pay around 400 dollars. WHAT'S THE USE PAYING INS. THEN, we are thinking about dropping ins.

    I bought a 5 yr protection plan through Home Depot when I bought my LG Washer 4 yrs ago. The washer was very loud and not draining well so I knew the bearings were going and called Asurion. That was 10/20/18. Asurion sent out one incompetent tech after another to diagnose the machine. First said diagnosed bearing issue and said drum needed replacing. They will order parts. Never did! A week later they sent out another tech who said the same thing. Never ordered parts. Their company said they need a senior tech to look at it 4 days later. Senior tech doesn't do any diagnostics. Just puts it on a speed wash cycle. Says bearing gone. Drum needs replacing. I questioned him on how he doesn't know anything else is wrong since he doesn't look at back of machine. I press him more and he gets mad. Scribbles out what the problem was and puts down I overloaded the machine. He also left his tools.

    When he wants his tools back I tell him not until he corrects the invoice to the true problem. He does that, I give him his tools and he leaves. He proceeds to tell Asurion that I stole his tools and also forced him to write down a diagnosis that I wanted. I have Asurion send another tech who tells them he was here which he never was and he tries to order a bunch of parts for the machine. Asurion won't do that unless he has pictures to prove problem. I tell Asurion this guy wasn't here and he was lying and they want to send him back to prove the machine has a leak which it doesn't!!

    I called Asurion corporate to complain. Corporate tells me they won't cover the machine because one tech said I stole his tools and made him falsify the diagnosis - this is a complete lie!! Corporate would not believe me!! I had to pay to have the machine diagnosed which it needs new drum, drum system assembly and one new shock absorber! SO since the one tech lied to Asurion they won't cover anything and basically call me a liar and a thief. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE treatment of me as a customer - Asurion only allows incompetent, lying techs to come to your house. Their (tech companies they work with) Yelp reviews are all horrible!! This just shows what a bad company they are who could care less about their customers. I have bought protection plans on all the appliances I have bought through Home Depot but will NEVER do it again!!

    Called to replace cracked screen on Samsung Edge S7. Paid $899 for the phone brand new, and paid an additional $559 over the course of 2.5 yrs for the insurance from Asurion. Never used the insurance for the first 2.5 yrs, until I cracked the screen. When I called to replace a cracked only screen they stated I needed to pay another $149 for phone replacement. After explaining to the customer service woman that only the screen was cracked, there was no other damage to the phone, she called me a liar and became extremely rude.

    It appears after speaking to a supervisor that she was wrong, and Asurion would "be happy" to replace my screen. But after they do so I will cancel due to the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. Please note the supervisor was happy to replace the screen but he did not acknowledge the rude behavior or name calling I experienced with his employee even after I insisted he review the audio tapes. A simple acknowledgment that I was just called names by some random call center lady would have sufficed. I paid $559 for insurance to be called a liar by a call center woman the first time I ever try to use it?!?! I don't think so... DO NOT EVER USE ASURION, AND IF YOU DO, EXPECT THEM TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND NOT COMPLETE YOUR CLAIM!

    This is the second time I've made a phone claim through Asurion, and it was a much more complicated process this time. The first time I was able to do the whole claim online, but this time I had to download and print a physical form, only to re-upload it (why couldn't that be done online)? Also, I'm an authorized account user, but not the account holder, so I had to forward everything to the account holder, whereas last time I was able to do the entire claim myself. Finally, when my claim was received and I had to confirm my address, the website was down for maintenance for about two days. That said, once my claim finally was processed, I received my new phone very quickly and my deductible was lower than I expected it to be. I will keep this policy because it's cheaper than buying a new phone every 2 years.

    The phone that was damaged was not the primary account holder's. The paperwork was filled out by the person registered to the phone number of the damaged phone. It was not clear that the primary account holder needed to issue the paperwork so everything needed to be submitted a second time. After that slight delay, everything was handled in a courteous and professional manner. The new phone was delivered promptly. The customer service people were knowledgeable and walked me through the transfer of information from the damaged phone to the new device. I would recommend Asurion with no hesitation.

    I'm a pediatrician who needs to be on call 24/7, and can't afford a phone that won't work. Spent >over 20 hours with Asurion who referred to Verizon coaches to try to replace a defective battery on a replacement phone for which I paid $150. Verizon then lost data with factory reinstallment which did not work. Ultimately sent to Apple Store by Verizon, paid $30 for battery, and phone works. But Assurion denies reimbursement because they say they would have sent a new phone (their reps didn't say that ever). Complicated bureaucracy who follow the fine print like a defective bible, all the way up the corporate chain.

    Your system would not accept multiple valid shipping addresses. A staff member told me they would enter it manually and I would receive my new phone within 1-3 business days. On day 4 I called back and was told this never happened. Please note that the original process too just under 1 hour on the phone. The second phone call took 20 minutes and I had to be moved to a supervisor. The entire process was unacceptable.

    My iPhone X 256 GB was accidentally slipped out of my hands and the back panel was broken. When I called the customer service they informed me that their records show that I have iPhone X 64gb. After explaining the customer agent for 30 mins she told me that she will move forward with my request and asked me to upload the driver's license and the scan copy of the affidavit. I submitted all the documents 6 days ago and till now I haven’t received any update about the complaint. I called customer service to check the update and he was very rude. And informed me that it will take 24-48 working hours to review the documents. That’s ridiculous because what will the customer do without a phone for a week. I had insurance in USA but they were so good that I got my phone delivered to me the next day. But in Canada Asurion has the worst insurance provider. Next time I will go with Apple Care instead of this unprofessional Asurion.

    This experience has been ridiculous. I got my phone stolen in Costa Rica. Nobody had the same information. They said they could ship to CR in a few days then transferred to another person and they said no it would be 7 days. Then they shipped it to a home address but after giving them my new one they shipped it to an old one that I no longer live at. They then said I have to contact UPS then UPS said I can't do anything. Called them back and asked for a manager who was rude. They are finally calling UPS to fix this. Get it together Asurion... Plus side half of the people were nice... The other half... This manager ended it being rude as all get out... Unbelievable. All 6 people I talked with messed up everything.

    The whole process was horrible from the start. I visited an ATT store, who were helpful, telling me to get the claim in within an hour to take advantage of an upgrade for a replacement. Via internet we tried to make the claim but I answered a stupid security question incorrectly - asking for the specific year and specific model of a car I owned years ago. So, we called, and I was asked another stupid security question - which county an old address was in. I couldn't remember, looked up the right answer and was told I took too long. So, I had to print out a validation form and send that in.

    I had to buy a wireless charging device because it was going to take four days for a replacement. It took exactly 12 days for my claim to be answered. And, now I await a replacement (no upgrade), for which I have to pay a $75 deductible for a problem with the phone, none of which was my doing. This is THE WORST customer service since Comcast broke all the records. IF and that's a big IF, I have another option for telephone insurance I will surely use them and NOT Asurion.

    I got an Asurion replacement for my iPhone. I paid about a $150 deductible. I realized after the fact I should have first tried to fix the original phone. I have Verizon. Within a year I noticed the battery was lasting less than 1 hour. I took it to the Apple store anticipating they would be able to easily fix it by replacing a new battery. The guy at the Genius Bar said that the way Asurion fixes the phones - with miscellaneous, non-Apple, refurbished parts means they CANNOT fix phones that have come from Asurion. This is obscene. Fair if I had paid nothing as a deductible (though even then I would want this to be made extremely clear) but UNFORGIVABLE considering that I paid such a steep deductible.

    I recently paid my insurance deductible to have my phone screen repaired. As a realtor that is my business so I most definitely needed it. I purchased another phone just to send that one in. However after receiving the device they called to tell me the back of my phone was shattered. I tried several times to figure out who was responsible. I had date and time stamped pictures of the phone from the day I sent. The phone did not have any of the damage they claimed. However they said I’m responsible for all of it and they can’t fix it due to the back being shattered. They stand against their customer. Most definitely not for them.

    The experience with Asurion was good. Was updated throughout the process and the phone came 2 days after the claim. I believe it was only supposed to take 1 day but the employee that helped me at the AT&T store didn't know the process. She told me inaccurate information while submitting the claim that delayed the process. She then had me fill out a form only to find out hours later that they needed my husband (the account holder) to fill out the form. That delayed the process yet again. She knew I wasn't the main account holder. I would assume that would be a part of the training for the store employees - that the main account holder needs to fill out the claim.

    I sent my phone in the shipping packet that was provided on or around October 31 and I've been checking the tracking number daily since. My phone is basically MIA because no one has received it and it's been 11 days. I called Asurion and they told me they could file a lost phone claim but to send me a replacement would cost 250.00 which is ridiculous considering how much of a premium I already pay each month and what it cost me to get the phone initially. So not happy with Asurion!!!

    I have been dealing with these people for 2 weeks to get a new phone and it's one thing after another with this company. No one can get anything done. I sent in all my information on the 28th of October. On the 1st I received an email stating they needed different information. Not a problem. Sent it. Come the 3rd didn't hear from them, so I called them, they had no clue where the information went, so. I sent it again. Then 2 days later same thing. Then 3 days later SAME THING. Like really. Then they filed 6 different claims. Only 2 of them were on the right phone. Then, they said I didn't have insurance and that I didn't own the phone I was filling a claim on and I had to call AT&T. So, I did. AND THEY FILED ANOTHER CLAIM. WTH. So, I spent 3 hours on the phone with them the following week.

    Finally got something done... So I THOUGHT! NOPE! They filed it under the wrong number so, now I am on hold!!! AGAIN! This has been the worst experience of my life. My job depends on a usable working phone. Which is why I spent the money to get insurance on the dang thing! So, Now I can't believe I pay this company. And for what?!?! TO BE PUT ON HOLD AND NOT GET A PHONE.

    Tried to put in a claim online and when I finished it asked if I wanted a phone call and I answered yes. When I got on the phone we completed the claim. The next day I didn't receive a phone. When I called to find out no one knew anything about a claim. My card was hit for 149.00 at 4:34 pm with a reference number. Now they want another 149.00 to complete the claim and get the phone the next day. Now I having to file a fraudulent charge on the first charge due to they can't find it in the system. I will be looking into my homeowner's insurance covering my devices asap. This is ridiculous having been on the phone an hour yesterday and now an hour today. Time is very valuable to the public just not to this company.

    We purchased a Dell gaming laptop from the Marine Corp Exchange, and purchased the Asurion warranty/insurance at the same time because we were told if anything happened they would replace our device with a new one or reimburse the amount we paid. Fast forward 7 months and the laptop was sent to Asurion for repair (sent 2018). For over a month I received text updates stating parts were ordered, laptop being repaired, laptop being shipped to us. A week later we still had no laptop and I received the first of many calls asking why I had not selected a replacement device. Asurion’s replacement department sent me an email with a log in valid for 48hrs. They offered us the choice of a refurbished HP, Lenovo tablet or a basic Dell.

    After several weeks, many phone calls, the last one for over 2 1/2 hours being transferred 6 times, I have been told that there is no such thing as a gaming laptop. Asurion does not have to replace the laptop we had, but offer us a “comparable operating system”. I have also been told that they will only offer a replacement from the stock they have on hand, that they do not have to replace a DELL with a DELL. We have repeatedly told them we do not want an HP but to no avail. The replacements being offered for the most part have no media or graphics card, a feature that our DELL had. The laptops being offered (HP) only have a 90 day warranty!

    I have asked to speak with someone in the “decision making department” but have been told that I must communicate with a supervisor via email, who admitted that all he can do is ask the decision makers to reconsider and issue us a check for the amount we paid for the laptop. A service which is offered but apparently "only at the discretion of the people in that department and very rarely." The employees are rude, dismissive, have argued that the laptop we sent for repair did not have a graphics or media card but when pressed by me then admit that it did but they cannot offer a replacement DELL with those options. I have been repeatedly told that a supervisor will return my call as the “claim has been escalated and we are unable to offer a suitable replacement device.”

    As of today not a single representative from Asurion has called me. There is a note on our file claiming a gentleman from Asurion called me yesterday and I accepted their decision to refuse the reimbursement option but I can assure that call did not happen. There is no missed call, no voicemail. It simply didn’t happen. I have received 2 phone calls from the replacement device department though, stating that they need a decision on which device we want and that we have not reached out to them at all. The last call after I had just ended a 2+ hour phone call with them. The devices they are offering us are so out of date they are not available for purchase anywhere but used sites for an average of $300 - $400. The device we insured was a $890 Dell Gaming laptop. Don’t waste your money. Asurion is a joke. The Marine Corp exchange has tried to help but again each time someone is supposed to call me back it doesn’t happen.

    I recently had a single small non-splintering crack on the top of the screen on my Pixel 2XL. It was a 100% cosmetic crack with the phone still functioning perfectly. Upon filing the claim it required I send the phone to them. They received the phone and immediately sent it back stating there was significant damage elsewhere on the phone and it was unable to be repaired. After making a followup phone call they informed me my only option is replace the device for the $200 deductible. The fact that the cosmetic crack was labeled as "not fixable" is simply not true. I followed up with a local repair center which stated they could fix it with issue with no trouble at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this service. They do not live up to the promised experience of fixing screens for the $29.99. You will be stuck with either outsourcing your own fix or pay the replacement device deductible. STAY AWAY!!! I'm still looking for the best option to fix the small crack.

    I have had nothing but problems with Asurion since July of 2018. In July of 2018 I made a claim because I thought I had lost my iPhone 8 Plus. I received the phone the next day and was told that my insurance had been canceled because it was my second claim in less than 12 months. Fine. Not a problem. However, a couple of days I sent back my new iPhone because I found the one that I thought I had lost. After sending back the new phone back to Asurion I called to confirm that my insurance would be put back onto my account. I was told yes that it would. It wasn’t. It took numerous calls to both AT&T and Asurion to get it placed back onto my account. Numerous as in over 10 calls and online chats over a span of a week because both companies said that the other company was the only one that could do it.

    Fast forward to today, November 7th. I cracked the screen on my phone and went online to Asurion’s website to file a claim, but my phone model (256GB, not 64) was not listed as an option. I clicked on “live chat” button and spoke to a representative and she said it was corrected. This afternoon I went to the repair location and the tech informed me that the IMEI’s don’t match and they still had it listed as a 64GB. I called Asurion right from the repair location and I was told that the only repair location that could replace my broken screen was 25 miles away. I asked the technician while on the call with Asurion if the 64GB and 256GB iPhone 8 Plus use the same glass and part number. He said yes.

    At this point I was now on the phone with an Asurion supervisor who stated she was aware of my problem, but there was nothing she could do on her end and I’d have to drive the 25 miles to have the repair done. I hung up, grabbed my phone, and drove home. I called Asurion back when I got home and spoke with a representative named Justin to have my IMEI corrected on Asurion’s end. He stated that Asurion gets the IMEI numbers from AT&T and only they could fix it. That was another lie for the day from Asurion. I called AT&T and the rep I spoke with confirmed that the IMEI they have on file is the correct one. I called Asurion back again. Explained the entire situation yet again. The rep put me on hold for several minutes and came back on the line and stated that he was emailing me a form that I need to fill out and send back with a copy of my driver's license. I asked him why.

    I have jumped through more hoops than I can count because of the laundry list of Asurion’s errors. Not mine. He said to protect my account and my information. I told him I was not driving to a FedEx Office location to fill out forms, scan them, and email them back because that has nothing to do with the problem at hand. I have confirmed my address, my name, and my passcode every time I’ve called in or performed online chat. I also explained to him that the IMEI he had on file was probably the IMEI from the insurance claim phone I only used for a few days and returned back in July and they never switched the IMEI on file back to the correct one.

    He asked me if I could confirm that IMEI number on that phone. What? Is that a serious question. Is Asurion even somewhat concerned about customer service at this point? He then put me back on hold to tell me that somebody should (repeat, should) call me back within 24 hours with a “possible solution”. I hung up. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I have never dealt with a company who so blatantly causes so many problems and not one representative or supervisor did one thing to resolve it. Everybody I talked to fed me lies. Every last one of them.

When the insurance is being added back and the device is being updated as well, it can take 5-7 business days for everything to be updated. Once that has been completed, a claim can typically be made without issue. When a claim is made, it is possible for documentation to be requested.     2 plus years ago, when I bought new phones from AT&T, they sold me this coverage and said how great it was. I was told by AT&T, that we could if needed to file a claim for each device if something happened...we could do so 2 times a year if necessary. Move forward to 6 days ago. I Filed a claim to get my Galaxy S5 replaced (4 plus years old ) because my port wouldn't allow a charge anymore. I had the Family plan to cover the 3 phones in my plan. Plan states, that I can make 6 claims per year. I never made one in 2 plus years and Paid $34.99 per month for the last 2 plus years, around $900 to cover my phones. Filed this claim and paid the $75 deductible. New phone came, no issues as of yet.

    Ironically My son's iPhone 6s has the same issues with port and the battery doesn't hold its charge. Mind you, I have the family insurance plan to cover all devices. I call to make a claim and they say that because I made a claim within 6 months - actually 6 days ago...I would not get the declining replacement deductible for the other device. I would have to pay $225 to get a replacement phone because I made a claim on another phone in the plan. I was completely floored that I would have to pay the full deductible amount on another phone on my acct. This is a complete scam. If I would have paid separately for insurance on each of my phones in my plan instead of the bundle deal, I would have been eligible for the declining deductible. Asurion says that because I made a claim on another line, I was not eligible to get a new phone unless I had to pay the $225 - full price deductible.

    This company is such a ripoff and they have no problems with doing this to me. I even spoke to a man named "Norman" in the CEO's Office and he was completely condescending during our conversation and kept quoting their company policies to me over and over again. Never agree to use this company to ever cover any electronic devices. They do not stand behind the consumer. It not a wonder that Costco, One of the largest retailers and one of the best when it comes to customer service dropped them from covering their products.

    Probably had the worst service with Asurion. If I knew it was going to be this difficult to get a good service with something I PAY MONTHLY FOR, I would have gone to a mall kiosk and pay the $100. They rescheduled 3 times, and once the guy got here he did not correctly fix my phone screen. Yes he replaced the crack, but afterwards my screen did not work. I could not press any buttons. I ran out to him to tell him, and he told me to get in contact with Asurion. Nice. So, after being on hold and hung up on for about an hour an a half, I get in contact with someone AND THEY HANG UP ON ME! Not only is the service they provide awful, but even the customer service! Next time I’m going to a mall kiosk!

    I was trying to place a claim for a screen replacement ($30) but was FORCED into replacing the entire phone and paying the full $200 deductible because "there was nowhere in my area" to get the screen fixed. I closed out the claim and tried to contact a customer service rep of which after hours of trying to get in contact with I gave up. After the fruitless endeavor to contact customer service I reopened a claim and figured I'd just pay the $200 so I could be done with this frustrating headache of a process. All the sudden I needed an Affidavit for my phone as well (it did not ask for one the first time), so I filled out the paper and waited the three hours (they wait until the full three promised hours to return ANYTHING) and told me to fill it out again.

    This process repeated a total of three times before I went through the trouble of trying to contact a representative AGAIN. An hour later I finally have a real person on the phone who says the affidavit was not filled out. (If you want screenshots, I can guarantee you it was filled out in full and time stamped from the email). But hey, I'm just trying to get this done with, so they sent the SAME email and had me fill it out for the fourth time, and I am not waiting for ANOTHER last minute of the three hours to probably have to fill the blasted thing out for the fifth time. All the boxes are filled, name, signature, and date are in the correct place. I started this process over 24 hours ago and probably will not get a replacement for another 48 (if at all). This is unacceptable service of which I have paid hundreds of dollars into already. Going forward I will not pay a dime more into this scheme and headache.

    So the shipping and convenience were alright for sure. But they sent out a refurbished phone, which has some kind of internal issue going on. Called Asurion after taking it to Best Buy to talk to a tech who said that we should get it replaced. Asurion told us that we have to take it to an Apple store which is an hour away just to have it checked before they will do anything. As the customer I shouldn't have to be taking it anywhere to get the product and service that I have paid for. Overall poor customer service and bad attitudes are all of what I have gotten so far.
