    I sent in my computer 10/30. I was told you’d have it for 7-10 days. I called once (on day 9) and the agent was so RUDE! She demanded that I wait the full 10 days before checking on the status... fine. I waited another 2 weeks...then chatted in. I was told because I have MDPP that I can’t chat in and have to call. Why... if I pay MORE for my insurance do I have less contact methods!? So I called in later that night... after the rep puts me on hold for a long time, she comes back and tells me that I never sent it in and demands to know who my confirmation email came from that you received my computer. I asked her who it would have come from and she said she didn’t know. I told her to go back to the rep she had on hold and ask. When she came back she said they found the computer and I’d be contacted in 1-2 days with replacement options, and if I don’t hear anything to CHAT IN....

    3 days pass, I hear nothing! SO I CHAT... Same outcome, they can’t help. So I call... I’m told AGAIN that I’ll hear something in 1-2 business days and I’ll hear back and that they are just compiling a list of 3 computers to choose from... Ummm ok.... but 30 days later!?! Finally I get a call from someone telling me they’re sending a check to replace the computer, which will come in 7-10 days. Hope it doesn’t take 30! Such a frustrating experience.

    ATT works with Asurion for phone claims and my mom lost her phone so we contacted them and told us what to do and how to file for a phone claim so she can get the same phone shipped to our house. So we were told that the new phone would arrive 1-3 days after we put in our request. Four days pass, and we never received anything in the mail. So Friday we call to check the status of the order and were told that the phone was delivered to our house that Wednesday by FedEx. FedEx never made sure we received our package, wrote a note or nothing. Asurion also put that FedEx didn’t need a signature. So we call in to request that a second phone be shipped to us. We were given different information by different employees.

    One saying we can have it shipped a second time to our house, another person saying we can’t have it shipped to our house. I also told an employee over the phone that I wanted my name (her daughter) on the package that they were attempting to deliver a second time to us. I was told that they would make sure they put my name on the package and not my moms so I wouldn’t have any trouble receiving the package. We waited a total of THREE WEEKS to finally receive my moms phone. They did not add my name to the package even though they had confirmed that they would. This company just plays games and we should’ve never had to wait THREE WEEKS to get her replacement phone. That is RIDICULOUS!!! I’m ashamed and hope I never have to deal with them again.

Although I went over the terms of the contract with a supervisor, Carla, she said Asurion would not honor the warranty, and for as long as she has worked there they have not honored the terms.     A small bowl of my food processor that I bought from Amazon on April 30, 2017 broke. I contacted Asurion on October 15, 2018, and it sent me the mailing label. Shortly after I shipped the broken part of the food processor to Asurion with the assurance that I would receive it way before Thanksgiving. 10 Days later Asurion forced me to sent the whole food processor. After many calls, and after being denied reimbursement, on November 22 the food processor was delivered to me with the big bowl broken. I called Asurion immediately, and spoke with the manager Lara who kept refusing any reimbursement.

    Therefore, I contacted Amazon, and the Amazon employee didn't agree with the solution offered by Lara. Consequently, Amazon emailed me a return label, and the following day, after I shipped the processor, Amazon refunded me. A few days later I repurchased a new food processor from Amazon without Asurion protection plan. Amazon, Walmart, Verizon, and the many other companies should not endorse Asurion, it's not trustworthy.

    Your company was wonderful getting me a phone as quickly as possible and then setting the phone up with your techs was so easy and they are very polite and helpful.     It was cumbersome. 1st took the phone to a full service Verizon store for help 70 miles away. They could not assist me, therefore, my phone was down almost two weeks. The insurance is bought and paid thru Verizon, go figure! Should be an easier process, local stores should help process claims and get you back up to speed!

    Honestly it would have been as cheap or cheaper for me to replace my phone screen (Note 8) at a local shop. Then I wouldn't have had to worry about switching everything over to a brand new phone. I did like that I got a new phone within 2 days of making a claim and how easy it was to return my old device. I didn't like that it cost me almost $250 to do it. I did have to return my refurbished device after a few days because there were issues with the display but I got a new phone again within 2 days which was nice. At the end of the day I have a phone that works now so I'm not too upset.

    These criminals refuse to cover any claims. Please do your research before paying them to insure your phone. They find any and all reason to refuse a claim. They have even gone to lengths to send me a phone then cancel the shipment when it reaches the carrier. They then have it returned back to them. These are horrible people being paid to lie to you. We will continue to leave negative reviews daily on every consumer review site we can find. We have also met with a group of others who have had several of the same experiences with Asurion and we will be conference calling together this afternoon and I will be heading it up with making sure that all of them get on & post their negative reviews as well immediately during the conversation and all posting negative reviews since they have not done that yet.

    Above that, last week when this started I reached out to the local news and they will be contacting Asurion this Friday for comment as will be following through with a segment on the Channel 9 news that reaches over 6,000,000 households during the morning and evening news for Greater Cincinnati.     The device replacement comes very fast. The deductible is on the high side, but still less than half of replacing it. If you factor in monthly payments the break-even point is about 2 years so never keep insurance for longer than 6 months to a year. You need to submit an affidavit that your claim is true and a scan of government ID. Processing was same day and I received my device 1 day after that. Replacement is a refurbished model and "refurbished by Asurion" is printed permanently next to the phone's IMEI.

    The refurbished model looks and works great. The fact that a lost phone carries the same deductible as a broken one makes no sense. They will use the parts from your broken phone to refurbish another device and you'll have the hassle of sending your broken device back. Throwing your broken phone away and claiming it lost would save you a trip to the post office, but is technically fraudulent so although I can't recommend it, I will say deductibles for operational phones with cosmetic damage is too high. Overall I'm happy with the service, but I would only keep it for the first 6 months of your phone's life as the prices of them drop fast and those monthly payments add up quickly.

    I cracked my phone screen today. I lease a Verizon iPhone 8 Plus and pay the 11.00 a month insurance fee. I was told I have to mail my phone in to get the screen repaired and be without my phone for almost 6 days. My friend in the same town had hers crack and has the same insurance plan as I do with Asurion and Verizon. She was able to have someone come to her home to repair her screen in one day. I was told that option wasn't available and not given an explanation only that they didn't know what her policy was. I told them it was the exact same as mine and we are located about 2 miles from each other. I was told it has to be mailed in. I am headed to my Verizon store to see if they can find out what's wrong. I don't see how one person with the exact same plan can get in home service in the same town and another has to mail their phone in. Not impressed with this insurance yet.

    We purchased a tablet from Wal-Mart in Ontario Canada. With warranty from Asurion. We waited over a month for a shipping label in business days when it said up to 7 business days. Upon shipping the tablet out we were supposed to have an EGift certificate within 72 hours. Or 3 business days. Well after a month and 4 business days we are told we have to wait up to 3 more business days. I do not recommend this service to anyone. Having an autistic child who learns from his tablet to deal with nonsense from workers and the supervisor is beyond ridiculous. When the shipping label could of been emailed from the start as it was over a month later.

    I was very pleased with the help I received. The replacement arrived as promised. The phone call from the technician was on time. The technician was willing to repeat the instructions if necessary. In order to set up the phone I was using my home phone. After setup the technician called my cell phone. That was when we discovered that the speaker wasn't working. We made arrangements to have the other phone shipped. The second technician was just as helpful. I actually went to Verizon and had them set it up. I again used my home phone. The technician was willing to call my cell phone to make sure that everything was working. Thank you.

    I had a great Experience with a Customer service agent who was very patience with me during the setting up process. She took the time to make sure I had everything I needed.
