    The customer service has been horrible and fraudulent. I am disappointed in every aspect of my experience. I wanted a phone replaced, I was told the phone was out of stock and that I should click on the link provided to choose a replacement. All they had to choose from was an ASUS pad... no phone. I couldn't start over because the claim I had started was tied to the phone number. This is fraud! I spoke to Verizon about this on 2 occasions regarding the situation. The last time I was speaking with someone, they went to go get assistance from a Supervisor and never came back on the line. Horrible service.

    I just want to say a few things about my experience with Asurion... This is the second time I have dealt with this company and although both time the outcome has been positive getting to that point has been a struggle. Both times I needed to speak to someone higher in charge due to lack of competency by the customer service people that answer the phone.

    My most recent encounter had an employee that didn't even realize that I had an open claim. The second employee talking over me as I was speaking. And that was the second and "higher above" person I talked to. Not until I spoke to a third person were my issues and needs met with proper customer service. After speaking with my carrier they have said that they have heard not so good things about your company. Having to replace a phone is a big deal in today's society. I would hope in the future that your employees are trained with the knowledge to handle these situations tediously and with the utmost customer service.

    The claim process was a lot faster and easier than I expected. It only took about 5 minutes. Replacement phone was delivered quick. Only issue was that the replacement is a refurbished phone that apparently must have belonged to a young girl because when I turned it on it must have had over 50 apps on it that were all pink and were almost all about, "play dress up", "put make-up on the princess", etc. I would recommend that if you're going to refurbish phones you should clear out old apps, info and such. Maybe set them back to original factory settings if possible. Other than that it was a good experience...

    Cracked screen Saturday 3/17/19. Did claim same day. Was able to set appointment for 3/19/19 Tuesday from 9 to 11. Had to take a day off of work and operate four stores off of my phone when out of office. Not only did they never call or show when I did call in to ask. The customer service rep was rude, ran me around and was the most unhelpful person ever. When I asked for a supervisor she was angry and talking around me then left me on hold for 30 minutes. Finally a solutions tech comes on and tells me I didn't show or my claim was not submitted to their tech properly neither of which is my fault for I was home all day awaiting tech's arrival. Now I'm out a phone till 3/22/19 or I can pay 170 on top of the 30 I paid for this inconvenience. I work in warranty and parts. This is not how you handle customers. I am reaching out to the district manager of Verizon to voice this issue. Should not be handling their customers this way.

    I wouldn't give Asurion a star if I didn't have to to write this review. Today is 3/19, on 3/13 a technician replaced the screen on my phone. The next day I noticed I could not power my phone off. It kept just asking for Siri. I had a flight on 3/15 out of state so I was busy and thought maybe it was something I was doing but the problem persisted and after my phone died it will no longer charge. I flew back in on 3/19. Called Asurion and was told to get a replacement phone I have to agree that if they find water damage or any other damage I will be charged $300.

    The problem I have with that is that who's to say who damaged my phone when it worked perfectly fine before my screen was replaced! Then once I send it off I'm unable to get the phone back. I'm stuck with paying $300 if they say so. To upgrade my phone it's only $191 so paying for insurance each month is absolutely useless because even if I file a claim for a replacement phone and pay $199 deductible they will probably send a refurbished phone (this is from the mouth of the technician who came out and replaced my screen). My phone worked perfectly fine with the crack and I wish I never wasted my money getting my screen fixed through Asurion. I basically pay insurance every month just to have someone come out to mess my phone up and now I have to spend even more money out of pocket. I suggest anyone with an iPhone to invest in AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss over Asurion.

    Filing the initial claim on the website was very easy. A phone was sent out next business day. This is where things turned ugly. For some reason I still don't understand, Asurion stopped the FedEx shipment while in transit and the phone was returned to Asurion. It took >2 hours on the phone with 3 different reps that clearly did not know what to do to resolve the issue.

    My device was damaged and I got the wrong device model. I spent 25 hours in total. That was nightmare to deal with this company and unprofessional people. Even after everything seemed to be done the charges that appears on my account was triple more than I was told. Please, people, get Apple Care.     Lost my phone on the train. Asurion was great at getting a replacement device shipped to me while out on the road. Unfortunately their replacement device had been pulled from the worldwide market by Apple Inc. I had been paying $13.00 per month for 4-5 years and $149.00 for the defective replacement. On the 13th day of having the phone the cellular modem died and I lost all ability to send or receive phone calls and texts.

    Asurion customer service was at best uninformed and unhelpful. At worst, they were rude, condescending and projected an all around attitude that they couldn't care less. They wouldn't ship me a new one because I couldn't disconnect it from my iCloud account. Made a suggestion to go to the public library to log online on a PC because I also have a mac laptop and according to them a mac wouldn't be able to take the iPhone off the iCloud account. I was on the phone with them for over 2 hours before I finally went to a Verizon store and canceled the insurance on 2 of my 3 devices and bought a new phone. Don't waste your time and money on the false sense of security Asurion offers.

    I got the insurance through this company for my Verizon phone. They most train their reps to avoid taking damaged phones and providing the service they promised to provide. Due to the decline in quality of Motorola products I had to file a claim 3 times. They always tried to convince me to postpone sending the phone and maybe replacing it with a new one. Filing via telephone is a pain as you have to listen to a recording telling you that for speedier service you should file online then you have to keep dialing options to get to a service rep.     I was trying to submit a claim for a cracked iPhone screen since OCTOBER 2018!! Every time I called I was disconnected, hung up on, or told they couldn't find my protection plan number. Finally I was able to get a claim done via online earlier this week (yes, March 2019), however, I wasn't given a claim # & kicked out the chat. Finally today, I got through via chat & was told nothing could be done because my protection plan ended January 2019. Never mind the fact that I've been trying to file the claim since October. These policies are scams & the customer service is a joke!!

    I have been paying for Asurion insurance through Verizon for years now and the first time I go to file a claim for a simple screen replacement- I sadly discovered was a horrendous complicated mess and wasted several hours before getting any real answers as to why I couldn't just put in my claim online through their automated system as I had done before with phone replacements. First while trying to get a claim going I was only given the option to replace the phone, then using live chat (more robots) I painstakingly went through the whole general information process just for it to crap out with an error message (not even kidding, a message popped up saying "bad robot" something went wrong).

    Second attempt at it I get some bizarre message that makes no sense with links that direct me to phone claim through Verizon. I tried one more time and actually a real tech to chat with, whom was absolutely no freaking help! I explained that I just wanted my screen replaced (cost $30) and not the whole dang phone replaced. Also they are supposed to be able to fix it same day and come to you. I was told by the not so helpful tech named Nate that I needed to check the link he messaged me to see if that service was available (which I already knew it was but checked anyways) after which I confirmed that this service was available and tried to further ask how exactly can I get this repair service- but of course the chat just gets stopped before I can get a answer.

    So I gave up and called customer service (which you can bet I was on hold for 15 min). Finally, after getting a human on the phone I'm told that I have to go through some bs process of downloading and signing a affidavit and make a copy of my driver's license and then fax it to them to begin the process of my claim. Not exactly easy when you don't have a PDF of your phone, a ** computer and a printer with no gd ink it. The entire process has been complete bs and far too complicated.

    Why TF am I having to sign an affidavit that I'm not committing fraud, you could clearly see the phone in question does in fact have a cracked screen! Oh and let's not forget that while filling out this stupid form it ask for the phone's sim if numbers (like how TF am I supposed to get that number from the phone when the screen is so badly cracked and the bottom half screening flashing green or whatever). I love how Verizon pawns this responsibility to a third-party vendor who is complete ** with all these bad reviews and unhappy customers. This experience alone makes me not want to even deal with Verizon's overpriced money hungry not truly giving two shots about customer satisfaction.

    After several years of paying multi-phone coverage with Verizon, I went to the store concerned about my iPhone 6 not keeping a decent charge. They filed to replace it with what they said was a "new" phone - but was actually a refurbished phone. That battery on the replacement phone was worse - and showed a visual red spike drop on the diagnostics. I complained to Verizon. The Verizon rep was going to figure out a solution but did not call back. Next day I called Verizon again, who said it has to be handled by Apple. Verizon handed me off to Apple who ran a remote test & confirmed it is a problem that they will fix. But needing my phone, I have to drive 260 miles round trip now to the Apple store to get the replacement phone from Verizon (Asurion) fixed.

    After spending over $2,000 on replacement coverage over the life of these phones, I now have a used phone that won't work until I get to the Apple store (I can't have the no phone situation) wasting a day driving ($$). Lousy support from Verizon - And Asurion low-level flea market quality phone replacements (referred to as like new) should be the subject of a class action suit. Save your money - forget about Asurion (after 16 years I am leaving Verizon too).

    I had been paying for my "total protection" plan for almost 2 years now. Volume button was stuck in the down position so I took phone in for service. Was told because the phone has a crack to the BACK of phone that they will not repair but I am "eligible" for a replacement phone at $275.00. I explained to Asurion at the Sprint location that I cannot use phones apps properly as phone is stuck in safe mode. Asurion would not make any repairs & only keep telling me I'm "eligible" to buy a replacement. I wasted 2 years of paying for a protection plan that is useless.

    To make it worse as I was sitting there they advertise "total protection" in the Sprint brochure and I overheard the rep telling another customer that the screen has a small piece of glass missing so they can't fix it. So they tell me protection ONLY covers glass, then they say it's not covered cause glass is chipped. This company has turned out to truly be a joke and Sprint will be LUCKY TO KEEP ME AS A CUSTOMER ONCE MY CONTRACT IS UP!!! What a scam...

Which means you can receive a replacement for lost, stolen or physically/water damaged devices once a claim is approved. This includes minor cracks and chips. We are unable to do a screen repair if other parts of the device are damaged including the back. We strive to repair to the root of the issue and other matter could arise with the back being damaged.     I had the total family protection with Asurion for our 5 lines through Verizon for two+ years.     Last winter I had an issue with an Insurance claim mainly because of the agent I was dealing with was over the top rude and terrible to me... It was a nightmare to take care of.     My over-2-year-old Hotspot was going out. You sent a replacement in just a few days. Your people helped me set it up. Within an hour the new one was doing what the old one had done. I called again. You overnighted another new one at your expense. I had your people set it up again. It has worked wonderfully well. No problems. The only problem was that I couldn't get my data usage to show. Your people could not seem to find that problem and I finally fixed it just playing around with it. That was the only issue.

    Pleasantly surprised that for a replacement phone after my Note 4 got damaged, I received a Note 9. I just wished they would of sent a new instead of refurbished one. Then I would of gotten all the actual phone accessories I needed, instead I had to go and purchase them. Other then that, I love my Note 9!!
