My husband's cell phone was left on our flight home from Tampa to Chicago on 02/27/2019. We notified the airport and airlines and filed claim reports. I called AT&T and they referred me to Asurion. The woman I spoke with was incredibly focused on getting us a replacement phone. She helped us make sure the phone was locked. She took all our information and processed the claim. Our replacement phone arrived within 48 hours. I am technically challenged. I called your support line and the woman with support was patient and informative. She walked me through the entire process. Your two employees went above and beyond helping us get back connected. Thank you!!!

Filing a claim was easy, convenient and quick! After losing a phone on my family plan, I was able to file a claim and receive the replacement the next day. Activation was also very easy. I appreciate the efficient customer service.

My phone was stolen on a Friday late afternoon and I had a replacement by 11 am next day and this came from across the states. Customer service was courteous and very patient even though I was upset. They tried to locate the phone. I was very satisfied with my service. The only thing I was disappointed with is the stolen phone was returned after I got the new one. It didn't work right cause of the Google lock that was put on it so I sent my original one back. That one was only 6 months old. They wouldn't give me any credit for the $200 I had to pay for the replacement.

Total Scam! My phone was dropped and the screen cracked because the case did not have front screen protection. Other than the screen, it is in excellent condition. I completed a claim and mailed the phone to Asurion. I get a email stating I needed to turn off “find my phone” which I did and I get an email stating the claim would continue. A day later, I get an email stating my phone was on the way. Imagine my surprise when we opened it and the phone was still cracked with instructions to call them. I call and they say it cannot be repaired and I need to pay additional $170 for replacement phone. I ask why and they say, stripped screws. How? The phone is not even 3 months old and was purchased brand new and it’s never been damaged before or out of the phone case until it was sent to Asurion.
If anyone stripped it, it was their technicians and now you want to charge me to get a replacement for the damage you must of done and also refuse to provide in writing what you claim is wrong with the phone. Here is the scam: The phone is in excellent condition, minus the cracked screen. They can refurbish the cracked screen and use it as a replacement for someone who may of lost or had their phone stolen. I pay $199 to get a new replacement and someone else pays $199 (or more) for a lost phone and since it costs retail $29 to fix the original cracked screen. The company loses nothing. The company gets a excellent condition phone from me with only a cracked screen and they can now sell it someone else who lost or had their phone stolen for the full $199 deductible.
Now they charge me a full deductible of $199 too AND they have my equipment, which lands in the hands of the person who had no equipment to turn in. They are playing the classic rob Peter to pay Paul game aka pyramid scheme using equipment and after reading these reviews, the scam is obvious. Too many people are sending in equipment that only requires minor repair and are being told to pay full replacement cost while they keep the equipment they deemed unfixable and resell it to those who report a phone lost or stolen with no equipment to turn in.
They also null and void your equipment warranty because they don’t use approved manufacturer parts, FYI. I will be reporting this scam to the state attorney general, consumer reporting bureau and contacting the biggest executive at Verizon to alert them to these reviews and others which are similar online, so they can be made aware. I hope one of these governmental agencies will begin their own internal investigations and phone carriers will decide to find a more reputable and honest repair company to serve their customers.

My replacement phone had arrived on time, the next day, just like I was told. The activation process had went well. The tech support was very helpful on helping me to get my replacement phone activated. I was able to switch all my information from the old phone to the new replacement phone.

I bought a iPhone6s on Amazon on 11-5-18. On the same day I purchased what I thought was a Protection Plan. On Feb 25, 2019 my phone crashed. I called them and they said I didn't have coverage. So after arguing with them for hours Amazon finally gave me back all the money so I could purchase another phone on the 26th of Feb. I bought another plan thinking I needed to just call and register the phone. Well they kept telling me on the new phone I still had no insurance. So I called them again and was told they don't cover phones.
Then when they sent me my Protection Plan, "Rest easy Tina Your recent Amazon Purchase is protected" Blah Blah Blah. Well when I wanted to make a claim it wasn't covered. Why are they allowed to sell us plans we can't use when needed. They got a good scam insuring all these people and when they DON'T make a claim they never know they aren't covered for they steal our money. Nowhere on Asurion on Amazon does it state it does not cover insure PHONES. That is false advertising to scam us out of our money.

It was the 1st time I used Asurion. The process was a little confusing/frustration; I don't know the "fix". If there's a next time it should be a little easier. The phone arrived quickly, I took it to the AT&T store & got terrific help. Returning the broken was very easy!

My only complaint is that I did not have a phone and without access to a phone I could not activate my new phone--the options on the activation call were either provide call back # or hang up. (I would have preferred to stay on hold as I was using a phone that I would not be able to have call back sent to.)

My son's phone broke. We had insurance on our son's phone. Our Asurion rep took us through the entire process, which in retrospect is extremely consumer friendly. Knowing teenagers are tied to their phones, our representative was kind enough to get the phone ASAP and we received via FedEx within 36 hours. Though I thought it would be a laborious process, it was made extremely easy.

Service is easy and prompt. My only issue is that I have had 3 claims in the past few months so my deductible has been going up but it is still well worth it! I called on Wednesday and a new device was here the next day! I’m very happy.

Other than receiving a refurbished phone for replacement, I was only responsible for a mere minimal deductible. I hope we don’t have any issues with the replacement for a good while. I received my refurbished phone in 2 days. I just didn’t know that there was a deductible I assumed the insurance assured me a phone at no cost. So far the phone works fine. I’m so thankful for the person whom I talked to at AT&T helped me through this process. She was great.

They replaced the refurbished phone, and phone started to keep turning on/off because of refurbish. When they were selling insurance, they said it will be replaced by brand new one. But when you need to get replaced, sending the phone which is refurbish not to work properly even for 2 weeks. When you asked them to get another phone which won’t have any problem on future again, they said that they will send another refurbish phone again. It’s sucked. So you will have problem again. You will start all steps over to get another phone, you won’t be able to to use your phone for couple days. End of the all things, you are getting another refurbish phone which might has high risk not to work properly. It doesn’t make sense to pay every month for 13$ to get junk replaced phone!!! Don’t get insurance to waste money for nothing!!! GO stay AWAY from them!!

Broke my phone at work while in the middle in the attempt to sell a truck. And it fell out my pocket and fell between the truck door as I was getting in the truck and shortly after closing the door it crack the screen. Phone was stolen out of my truck. Went to my carrier (AT&T) to get a replacement and was told I still had insurance on it. They gave me the email address to Asurion to file a claim. I LOVE it when I pay for a replacement screen and the PART YOU SENT is faulty and the only option I am given is a replacement phone. I want MY phone fixed NOT a new or refurbished phone no matter the phone offered. If it’s an appliance you FIX it THREE times for the same issue but for a phone screen it’s only once. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I dealt with this company for SIX MONTHS for a fridge which was declared not fixable after the THIRD FAILURE in SIX MONTHS (I have a child in the home and after the 2nd failure in a month they offered a temp fridge/$100 gift card for a mini fridge while the other one was "getting fixed"). Eventually paid out for what I paid for the fridge (that's the only good thing I can say).

Quick next day turnaround for the replacement on my Apple 7s iPhone. The transfer of information from one phone to the other went well. I do feel this is a used phone. It sometimes acts weird as far as the keyboard/touchscreen sometimes don’t function. That is my only disappointment. Overall, I’m pretty well satisfied with the phone. If so continue to have problems I will call to get it taken care of.

I have been dealing with Asurion as I bought extended warranty from Home Depot for a brand new Whirlpool Dishwasher model # WDT780SAEM. The dishwasher failed 4 times with same problem (control board failure) over 2 years... Each time it required multiple calls and multiple visits from technician to fix the same issue. So my dishwasher would stay out of commission for 2-4 weeks (imagine the pain it causes for a family of 4 with 2 kids)...
As per their policy if the same issue happens the 4th time (which is bizarre - they should have this do in 2 or 3 times), they would declare the product lemon and issue a refund. I am still circling in Asurion process and waiting for my refund to come. The technician has come twice and made the report but Asurion wanted him to call the tech line at their center from my home. He did that too but Asurion doesn't have the notes. By now I have called Asurion 4 times (each call is about 20-30 minutes) and J&H Appliance 3 times over the last 3 weeks and they still don't have resolution. Extremely poor, pathetic experience. Never buying extended warranty again from Asurion!!

This has by far been the WORST customer service I have experienced. From being told something different by every representative I spoke with, to the attitudes that came along with it, to the extreme incongruence between Verizon and Asurion, it has all been terrible. I had to file a separate claim for every issue I had, none of which might I add was my fault. I received the wrong phone only to return it to have the following claim on my actual phone be denied. I am livid with the way the people at Asurion handled my issue. It made me feel like they were actually trying to be difficult. I don't have money for a brand new phone and the insurance that I PAID for was no help at all. Now I'm upset and phoneless until further notice. Thank you Asurion for NOTHING!!!!

Following a screen replacement, the texting and numbers functions no longer worked well. The phone was eventually replaced. All is now good. My one comment is that the consumer needs to be provided information on how to follow up if the repair does not work. I knew nothing about who to call and it took me quite some time to figure out what I needed to do next.

I first called and they told me it was my fault it was my defected device from them wasn't working and they wanted me to pay another $200 (which honestly I think is way too high for a deductible on top what I have to pay monthly already to just have it). The women on the phone didn't know what she was doing because every single question I had I was put on hold. Finally I gave up and hung up and tried with another tech which told me it was a Verizon problem and to call them. I did and Verizon was confused and didn't know why they sent me back and to try again. Which I did and it finally worked out. I got everything sorted out. I gave my mailing info and was told it was going to be sent and I'll receive it tomorrow. Tomorrow came and no phone. I reluctantly called back and they said they had to call me back about it tomorrow. This is a NIGHTMARE!!! This company is terrible at customer service!

I lost my cell phone on 2/14/19. I called Asurion Insurance that evening. They suspended the service immediately. Received a refurbished phone on 2/18/19. That phone was awful. Whenever I made call recipient couldn't hear me. Had to return that phone. Received new one 2/22/19, all is well.

The process was very easy online and the replacement phone came in less than 24hrs. The only thing that is less than satisfactory was that I called AT&T customer service and they helped with one aspect to show the phone damaged but could not complete the process and I had to go online anyway. If you have to wait on hold for over 30 min they should be able to complete the entire process.

After my phone stopped working correctly I filled out my claim. Was quickly sent a new phone (about the only good thing). After a few days of the new phone they sent me losing service on and off I took it into Verizon to find out that Asurion had sent me a phone with a recall out on it due to it losing service. I called to inform them of my issue at which point she recognized it was a recalled model. However, she told me to reset the service settings instead of offering to replace the faulty phone they sent me.
Of course doing this did not work because my phone continued to randomly lose service. I then called a second time and they are sending me a new phone, but it's absolutely ridiculous that I was sent a model that was recalled in the first place. I appreciate that they are sending me another new phone, but I should not have been sent another phone that knowingly had potential issues to replace my phone and it should have been offered the first time I called with this issue.

I had purchased a swing set only a year ago and purchased a 4 year warranty. I was swinging my daughter on the swing when the straps on the toddler swing ripped completely off and my daughter who was 1 at the time flew off but luckily I caught her. The swing also doesn't swing right. I filed a claim and they basically told me that both weren't covered and they are not giving me a replacement. If the swing set is unsafe for children to go on they should replace it or give a refund especially since I only had it for a year. I sent them a video along with several pictures. I will never purchase a warranty from them ever again. I am so upset that they didn't even care that my daughter could of gotten seriously hurt.

I had many issues in filing the claim, for a cracked screen. Initially I followed all the steps I was given, each time I'd check on it after, suddenly there's be something I "neglected" to do. I'd complete every step I was given to do, it would state that I was finished, I'd later check back on the status and the cycle would occur all over again. This happened about five times. Once it finally accepted I had completed everything, nothing. I heard nothing for two weeks, it was accepted but nothing was shipped. I called at the end of those two weeks to find that my claim never moved forward, they couldn't even find it properly. The person on the phone was a great help, they got everything set up for me, and I finally received my new phone about a week later. Their online filing system needs a great deal of work.

Took way too long, it seemed way too scripted and very hard to understand what she was saying. She did tell me that when they were sent repair parts, they were sent iPhone 8 screens for 7 & 7+. She called her supervisor to confirm that she was to modify the new screen to fit my phone. She finished the repair, checked to make sure my phone rec'd calls & texts & left. That evening I noted that my phone's touch would not work correctly. I called Asurion & got a great guy that tried everything he knew to do to fix my phone & when it failed, he told me that my phone would be replaced. And it came the very next day! He was awesome! Friendly & tried so hard to make my phone work properly. I totally appreciate him & his efforts!

I certainly recommend. I already told several of my friends who are Verizon customer to get insurance. Several of them cracked or warped theirs. Fast exchange. I was up and running in days. It was super easy to use the website to fill out the claim. I received all packaging to send back my device and I had very clear instructions on the process of activating my new device and deactivating my old one.

From start to finish my claim took about 15-20 minutes. This occurred at 4 pm. The following morning I had my replacement device. Oral time from claim to receiving replacement, under 18 hours. Amazing. Asurion is detailed to a fault. But when approved, they are fast.

Very helpful. Was disappointed that the phone I got had 32 gigs of memory and the one it replaced had 64. It was easy to get the process done. I got new phone the next day. I would use the insurance again if needed.

I was having issues with my phone. I got on the Asurion website. Very simple and easy to navigate. Most of the work is already done for you. The whole process was less than five minutes. I made the claim on the website at about 8:45 pm. To my great surprise, by mid-afternoon the next day my new phone had made it from Texas to my hands in Tennessee in about 20 hours. I received email updates all along the way. Very impressive! I highly, highly recommend Asurion to insure electronic devices.

I dont want to give them a star at all but I have to or I can't submit this statement. Asurion is a complete joke unless your phone is completely broken, lost or stolen. With Verizon I pay for the Total mobile protection... which covers a great perk for us customers with screens breaking on the S8 in my situation. I have had the front screen crack twice and just the other day with a protector, noticed the back was cracked when I took it off for a new one I ordered. Really weird cause the front and sides also the phone are in perfect condition.
Now back to the scam I called Asurion the first time to get this 29.00 service done instead of a refurbished phone for 199.00. They told me that we had no idea, then changed it to that they had no repair people or parts in Fort Worth to do this for 29.00. I paid to get my phone that had a spider web crack in it 199.00 to receive a refurbished phone. I argued told them this is why I am paying the extra amount with Verizon and they fed me a bunch of no sense so I gave in. Not even a 30 days later this happens again, I'm beyond annoyed with screen at this point and not gonna pay that crazy amount when it clearly says, "29.00 we will come to you and fix it." I called again same story everything.
Pitch was the same, in the end pay us for another replacement and that it. I keep calling Verizon and an Asurion back and forth. Finally get a decent rep from Verizon who takes the time to call herself with me on the line and talks to the Asurion rep. Funny cause she immediately says, "Ok we have someone we send him today before 3 and he will fix the screen, take the 29.00 payment on site."
Right at 3 A guy walks, replaces the screen in a matter of 10 mins, takes payment. Everything was awesome. Now today I called Asurion stated, "The back glass broke can you please take the info. down and send the same guy from last time." She tells me, "Well I can't send the same guy, ok. Well unfortunately we do not have the ability to fix the back glass for 29.00 but for 149.00 send it to us, next day this and that." I told her, "No I have coverage I already lost a lot of money the first time cause you people said the same thing."
She said, "Please calm down let me explain," and spoke for 2 minutes making up stuff and ended with, "We dont have the glass. This is what I can get it repaired for 149.00." Waste of time, I know it to be true that we have ut he service. Wake up Verizon help your customer please. Asurion and their reps are scam artist. They sell their product and dont want to send a Verizon certified tech for 29.00 dollars to our house or work to fix the screens. It's all ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN GET. 199.00 to 149.00. It is not a bargaining system. We have to sign affidavits with when filing a claim stating we are not lying about the damage it occurred on this date and so on.
This is when we all pay a deduction for a used phone through Asurion. They need to take some action against this company. Leave this company and find another. They are rude and will not give the service outlined in the total mobile protection unless you fight for a month over it or catch them slipping. Sign or documentation.

If it is an overpopulated area, it is possible the timeslots may not be available, or there may not be enough technicians. Fortunately, the repair option is second to your primary insurance, which means you still have the option to have the device replaced if it is not eligible for repair. Unfortunately, with the damage on the back, the device would not have been eligible for the repair. I have to give credit to Tasha for getting this done. after 2 1/2 months since filing my claim and all the lame excuses I still would not recommend Asurion to anyone. I got my laptop back and it is working again but the timeframe was so long that I had to buy a new one anyway. I'm increasing my star rating to 2 from 1 solely because I believe Tasha deserves it. the company itself however needs to do an internal audit of competency because their ability to function properly was non existent in this case. I do thank you Tasha for your help and thank god there are some people in this world that still do their job, even if only a few at your company

I've always thought that it would be a good thing to buy these warranties. As a result I've bought several mostly for any electronics purchases. Recently my laptop crashed. I called Asurion. Filed a claim. They assured me they would repair or replace it. The claim was filed six weeks ago and after many repeated calls to them as well as speaking to supervisors twice I am still looking at my broken laptop. They have escalated the claim but even through all of this nothing has happened.
Every time they send 2 forms via email. 1, telling you how to pack it, 2, another asking detailed info on the item issues. The email states that UPS will send a shipping label shortly and that's the problem...it never happens!! I've even offered to send it at my expense and they refuse to give me an address, telling me it can't be done this way. They have frustrated me but I'm going to keep fighting for what I paid them for. It's become obvious that they have no intention on honoring the warranty so I suggest that NO ONE BUYS WALMART'S WARRANTIES. THEY ARE A SCAM!!!

Very efficient and friendly. If there was anything that could be improved it would be to more accurately give a time in which the phone would be delivered. It always comes faster than what you predict but because you quite 48 hours we needed to find a phone because the 48 hours would have been too long.

Great service in getting another replacement, quick delivery. Fast and friendly service, will use and recommend taking out insurance, compared to the cost of having to replace out of pocket. Placed claim on a Saturday and had a replacement phone by Monday, can't say enough about the fast delivery, being without a phone when you have elderly parent and need to keep in touch with them and work and your kids.

I called AT&T and filed a claim. I received a replacement iPhone two days after making the claim. It would have been delivered sooner, but we had a snowstorm that prevented FedEx from delivering it. It was an overall positive experience.

Had my phone to me in less than 24 hours after visiting a local ATT Store to make arrangements to have new phone shipped to me. I dealt straight with ATT and didn’t speak to Asurion. When I tried to speak to Asurion I didn’t know phone passcode and they were not able to assist me. I think there should be another way to access my information instead of being sent back to ATT to get my passcode reset. I couldn’t get help over the phone and had to go to store.

However, anytime you have forgotten your passcode or need to reset it, your carrier will be happy to help you with this. For the last two years I've been using the Sprint Complete. I had it to fix my phone if it ever had a crack since it said that it'll cover cracks. Given this and just this I tried taking the phone which was cracked with a small little piece missing on the bottom left corner. When I went they said they couldn't take the phone in for repair even though when I bought the plan it said nothing about how a small piece missing can lead to the fact that they can't fix it. All they tried to do was just sell another phone for an extreme price.

We strive to repair to the root of the issue and if there are pieces missing from the screen or casing, there could be other issues that would not be resolved by repairing the screen only. Note 5. I received the phone promptly which was great. Had an issue figuring out how to transfer data which took some time on my part but got it all settled and moved over to my new device. My only concern is that I feel this battery is not up to new phone specs and seems to not run as much as it should throughout the day but I'm still happy to have a replacement device and so swiftly. I have always used Asurion for as lo by as I can remember and have always been happy with the customer service. Thank you. I will continue to use Asurion for any future mishaps.

I was very disappointed with the online portion of filing a claim. Since the phone was less than a year old, I was given a response that I needed to see a "retailer". The phone was physically damaged which caused the phone to work for a period of time, but it simply stopped working. Having to take my personal time to go to a retailer was unfortunate, unnecessary, and a waste of my time. The phone was delivered as expected... within two days, so thank you for that.

Customer service was excellent, but disappointed that it took 4 days to get a replacement. In the past when Verizon replaces a phone, I got it the next day. I feel it wasn’t replaced in an appropriate amount of time.
