Had an oil change. Drove away & approx. 15 - 20 minutes later my car was making a high pitched noise & was wanting to stall. I took it to a mechanic & now he says I need a new transmission. The car is a 2002 PT Cruiser with 39,500 miles on it. I have never had any problems with it what so ever. The mechanic I took it to asked me if I ever had anything done with the transmission. I told him no. He stated that it has recently been worked on. I have had the car for over a year & a half now. This could be totally coincidenal. I dont know. But all the mechanics I have talked to about this problem find it rather odd. I even called Crystler & the man there told me that they have had so many cars brought to them after having the oil changed at Wal-mart & he would like to send Wal-mart a Christmas card for all the work they have given them.

a yr ago I went to walmarts in my hometown to have a tire replaced..I told the service desk what I wanted to have done and was told it would be about an hour. I called my daughter to pick me up and after an hour and half came back and there was no new tire on it and a lug nut missing. The guy in the shop said that they could not remove the tire because the lug nuts had to have a special thing to take it off..I took him that was stupid because I had brought it to walmarts before and they had replaced a tire..The guy did ever thing but call me a lier..saying there no way that happen here.you couldn't have and more.I requested to have my name looked up in their computer and they refused saying no need..we took you we can't do it..I ask about the cap on the hub and they said it was already missing..I took them that it was not and the lug nut was gone also.they said that was missing also..I was so p o..by that time.. this guy was acting like I was a stupid woman and he wasn't going to listen to me..I left and went to the Ford dealer and ask if my tires needed a special tool to take them off..the guy came out and looked at them and was almost laughing aloud..I could see him smiling but was trying to keep it to himself out of respect..He said Ma I don't know who told you That but these tires need nothing special..I went back to walmarts and ask to speak with the auto manager, he came in and he looked at the service order that was mine before and I told him what the guy had told me and he said hold on a minute..went and talk to the guy, came back and said, sorry he is young and just starting and didn't know..I said yea but look at my tire now, by this time I had inspected the rim and tire and the rim was bent one lug nut gone, and the cap for the hub cap was missing..The manager said he didn't do that..I ask him how he knew he wasn't here and if he was trying to get the tire off and didn't know how then yea, he did do it..The manager yelled at me saying no lady that was already missing..I told him, the walk around inspection before it wasn't listed and ask to see the paper..oh but the paper was lost and could not be found by anyone..This guy stood there and called me a lier and treated me like I was nothing, I felt disrespected, degrated, and he was tryign to make me feel stupid also..I ask to speak with the store Manager and was told she was gone for the day..I ask for a # to call another store manager..was not given one..I left mad as all can be..went and had a tire put on at another place.call the store manager the next day, she didn't answer, called walmarts for her and was told it would be Tuesday before she was back..Tuesday morning early I was there..I spoke with her and she was very nice..went back to speak with the auto manager concerning this and she returned to say he had taken care of it..I said what...no one has taken care of anything..She said he fixed the guy who didn't know how to fix my tire..I said what about the manger hisself for the way and manner he spoke to me and for still not replacing what they messes up and she stated that he said they hadn't done all that..I was about to blow at this point..4 days of this and my nerves were very much stressed..I said ok..this is the way it is..I want your managers # and his managers # and so on..she said oh no no no we can handle this..I said I don't think we can..she got on the phone ordered a new lug nut and a cap and gave me a 50.00 gift certicate..I was almost hurt..She didn't want to involve a boss of hers but yet they were still acting as if I was stupid and they did nothing..I left and let it go after several attempts to get in touch with a upper manager..whom would never return a call..But I knew why..they had got to him first and I was just a loud old woman who started trouble there..I knew they told him that, but that was ok cause I knew what they did and so did they..I will never take a car there again and I will never speak to the auto manager either..

My mom took my car to Walmart to have my oil changed. About 2 weeks after the oil change I was driving on the interstate when my car started stalling. The oil light immediately came on and then my car cut off. It would not start. I had my car towed to a friends house. Two days later I had my car towed to a mechanics shop. The mechanic looked at it and came back and told me there wasn't any oil in it and that had cause my motor to go out. I could not believe what he was telling me. I was furious. I called my mom and told her what the mechanic had told me. She then advised me to contact Walmart to make them aware of the situation.I talked to 3 different people. They all advised me to fill out a claim form. I did fill out a claim form but have not heard anything from anyone representing Walmart. I've been without transpotation for 2 weeks now and I'm very, very fustrated with the situation.

I have had the tires swithed like this twice and it is fine. he had no right to go against my daughter and my wishes just because he thought we are women and idiots. There is a reason for this and he should of done what he was asked. This is the third time we have had a problem with this walmart. we buy tires for 5 cars at walmart and will not go back to this one for service. he is just lucky that she didn't have a accident because of him not following our wishes.

On November 20, 2008, I arrived at Wal-Mart @ 7:00AM to have my winter tires put on. At 7:21AM Glen asked "can I help you", I said I was there to have my winter tires put on, he took my info, asked me to sign the work order, took my car keys and lock nut key and said it would be about 20 minutes. At 8:39AM he said my car was ready. I paid. He gave me the keys and the invoice, and off I went. On Dec 23, 2008, 15 seconds after exiting the highway, my front/drivers side wheel falls off, damaging the front fender/wheel well. I called Wal-Mart, they sent and paid for the tow truck to tow my car back to the store, they confirmed that I did have my wheels put on at that store, but they couldn't put the wheel back on until the morning because they didn't have any bolts that fit my car (they will have to order them from the dealership). Sharon (the duty manager on call that night) took pictures of the damage and said she would have to submit a claim because of the damage to the car. On Dec 24, 2008, first thing in the morning, a very nice lady named Lorraine (ext 470) from Cunningham & Lindsey Canada Claims Service (905) 896-1420, called to take a detailed report of the incident. She offered me a rental car which I declined because I had access to a vehicle over the holiday. She told be that "Vladimir Denis" (ext 473) would be the person I would be dealing with after the holidays. Lorraine called my back later that afternoon to inform me that the car was ready to be picked up and it was checked and test driven and they felt it was safe to drive. I picked the car up and drove home where it stayed until the claims officer tells me where to take it to have it inspected. 2 weeks passed and then the call stating that they will not cover the damage to the car because I signed the "Work Order" which contains the claus "WAL-MART TAKES NO RESPONSIBLITLY FOR WHEELS BECOMING LOOSE OR FALLING OFF IN NOT RETORQUED. I have been driving for 30 years, and have had many tire changes and have never heard of such a thing. Either they torqued the wheels properly or they didn't.

I went back to have them rotated and was told since they do not carry that brand of tires they can no longer rotate and balance them. They will no longer have my business or people that i have been referring since i THOUGHT it was a good program.

We took our car a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer to Walmart for it's regular oil change and vehicle checkup. During the checkup it came to our attention that the transmission dipstick had been broken off and they could not check the fluid in the transmission. They said they did not do it and that it most likely happened the oil change before which was also at a Walmart.
At that time we ask Barry Byrd if it was okay to drive the vehicle and he said yes. One week later the transmission locked up and had to be towed to a transmission specialist who said the failure was do to lack of fluid in the transmission. We feel that in fact the dipstick was broke off at the previous oil change by a Walmart employee and he simply got rid of that part of the dipstick and signed off on the transmission to relieve himself of blame not telling us the the stick had been broken and unable to check the fluid. If he would have informed us of this issue it could have been solved with out the $2900 cost for a transmission rebuild. We filed a claim with CMI (Claims Management Inc.)Phone # 888-213-7534 (we dealt with a Barb there who was rude talked down to us and even called the mechanic at the transmission shop a liar and that the transmission had to have a leakage issue and she would have to deny the claim he explained to her that there were no leaks and it was a Walmart topping off issue. When CMI received the statements from the Walmart fluid checkers not mechanics (which barb at CMI called them) they had changed the statements made and told her that they never told us it was okay to drive the vehicle and did not recall placing blame on the previous Walmart oil change. We went to our Attorney's office on 2-27-09 and are in the process of suing Walmart and CMI. Please take our advice and never let Walmart fluid checkers touch your vehicle as the internet shows that they have more complaints than praises. This will be taken to the next level and will make it a life long goal to expose Walmart Automotive. We would love to start a class action suit against Walmart and CMI.If anyone reading this has had a problem with Walmart Automotive would like to join this class action please notify us at wholesaledirect@comcast.net as we have a attorney that would love to do it.

I had a flat tire so I took my car in to walmart to have it replaced since the tire was from Walmart and I had the road hazard warranty. When I went to drop it off the manager said that they could put the new tire on the rim but not mount it on the car as the tire was smaller than the manufacturer recommended. When I pointed out that they had in fact put that size on in the first place the manager told me that this was new policy per the district manager that they only go with manufacturer recommendations and they are willing to make it right if I buy 4 of the bigger tires. I told them to just put the tire on the rim since I had 2 brand new tires from a different tire company and to please do an oil change. This all took place at 11:25 am when I returned at 4:00pm I was told that they did not do the oil change because there was no oil on the dip stick. They said they had been trying to call me all afternoon. Which was not true since I had my phone with me all day but never received a call until 3:48. I paid for my new tire at a discounted rate and was highly upset. The girl behind the counter proceeded to mock me and the mechanic walked out of the bay door to laugh at me. I understand new policy and I understand that it was my fault that there was no oil in my car but to go out of their way to laugh and mock me was highly unnecessary. I feel like they did nothing to help me only make fun of me and put me in a worse position then I was already in.

I recently called my local walmart center to purchase 2 new tires for my
truck as i always do. and since i bought the last 2 at walmart with no problems, i wanted to match the 2 that was already on the truck, so i called ahead to make sure they had the tires in stock and there would be no problems with me coming in today to have them mounted. I was assured by the person answering the phone, that there was no problem with that. So I arranged to drive to the store which is located in the next town over from where I live to get my new tires put on....wrong.. it seems as though walmart has a new rule which does not allow them to mount tires that differ from the sticker in your door jam. Now suppose that sticker was unreadable or they had changed the driver door of my truck??lol... truck is 1989 not new, not 4x4, not jacked-up.just plain passenger truck with Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that were installed by walmart 2-yrs.prior....they then wanted to sell me the tires that they said were made for my truck which were 225rh75-15 at a higher price than the wrangler tires. I'm pretty agrivated by this time and i'm thinking well this is just some one having a bad day and wants mine to be just as bad, so I decide not to buy the tires there and would go to another Walmart in another town to perhaps find someone in a better mood. Next Day I drive 100 miles over to next town with severl walmarts to find one who might possibly be able to sell me the 2 new tires that i wanted, Ha!!!.. I go into the service center and get into line with 3 other customers at the time wait approx...15min-20 min. not bad... to get my turn, the man was very polite and ask how he could help me today and I told him That I wished to buy 2 new tires to match the ones that were on the front of my truck and they were Wrangler 235r75-15. He said ok as he was checking his computor for the item to see that it was in stock... It was and he proceded to take my information..name/ address/ phone #/ email and color of the truck?? after another 20min.'s and 5 people in line behind me, he finally said ok and ask me where I wanted the new tires installed on my truck?? I told the man that i wanted them on the front and the older ones rotated to the rear, (this is the way i have always done for my vehicles and i,m 2 old to change now) anyway he then said again, you mean you want me to put the new tire on the front rims and move them to the rear of the truck? No sir, I want the new tires on the front of the truck please... Again, You mean you want me to put the new tires on the front rims and rotate one to the front and one to the rear of the truck.... I looked back at the people standing in line now going on, for what seemed like eeeeevver.....I then said to the man Who's on Second? I received pretty much a blank stare, like geeeeeee, How old are you really? Well anyway I once again said, I would please like the new tires on the front of the truck. [pause] i was really hoping he didn't ask me the same Question again... And much to my surprise he finally did'nt. He said, I'm sorry I can't put new tires on the front of your truck... I'm dumbfounded... You can't What???????? He said it again, I can't put new tires on the front of your truck. Ok, by now every one in line is looking very strangely, at both of us.. So I calmly asked the clerk Why he felt like he couldn't put new tires on the front of my truck?? he said its a Walmart rule.., that he can't sell me new tires for the front of my truck only the rear...so I asked him how they manage to just put new tires on the front when they sell you 4-tires?? All I got was its a WALMART RULE... So I then asked if i could just buy the tires and i would pay someone else to mount them... ok!!!, we finally reached an agreement... I did purchase 2 new Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that are still riding in the back of my truck, waiting to be mounted. However you must know this, I own other vehicles besides this one and have always purchased my tires this way and will continue to do so..it just won't be from Walmart ever again... I will be having new signs made saying, WALMART RULES...shop where you can buy quality service. Oh yes, (now keep in mind all of this had nothing to do with the tire size located in the door.) lamo / oops lmao, florida.

I returned to Wal-Mart and they had loosened a vacuum hose and disconnected a sensor. This was corrected and my car ran perfect. I thought this was just a fluke and would not happen again. Took my car in on 2/14/09 for another oil change and tire rotation. Got my car back and again it was running extremely rough. Returned to Wal-Mart (raising Cain and asking for the store manager who never showed) and again there were two hoses that had been loosened during my oil change. The technicians test drove my car and it is still running extremely rough and they couldn't find anything else that may have been disconnected. I received an apology and a $25 gift card. I thought maybe the culprit was a fouled spark plug. All spark plugs and wires have been replaced and my car still runs like crap. I even put fuel injector cleaner in it. I have an appointment with a Volkswagen dealership on 2/25 for them to find the hose or sensors that are still disconnected or repair damage Wal-Mart may have caused to my engine. I'm taking my receipt to Wal-Mart and I hope they have the decency to reimburse me. I will NOT darken their door again for groceries or any other necessities.

After cleaning her battery post, the tech attempted to start the car. The car would only idle when you pressed the gas pedel. When you turned the ignition off and restarted the car the motor was at fuel throttle without pressing the gas pedal. So the walmart associates decided the car needed a new battery. The problem still occured. Then they decided that a throttle pedal sensory had went bad. So they order the sensory and place it on the car the next day. The problem still was not fixed. After asking the desk clerk if the walmart techs were mechanics, i was informed they were not. So had to get the car towed to a local toyota dealership in which they discoverd the throttle body was locked up. The manager at the toyota dealership stated that the battery post at some point in time must have accidentally touch the opposite post. Thus causing the damage. Drove to work and on way home the oil gage dropped then engine started making metal on metal sqeeling and then the car died. Called tow truck and the tow truck driver noticed new oil all over the oil filter when he was hooking the car up to the flat bed truck. He reached up and touched the filter. It was loose. Towed to a machanic and pulled the dip stick and no oil in engine.

During a regular oil change, our Toyota SUV had so much oil forced into the engine that our block cracked. Walmart immediately contacted their internal insurance agency. They leased us a vehicle, they purchased us a rebuilt engine and they allowed a Toyota service team install the engine. They stepped up, did not deny wrong doing and fixed the issue. While the situation should never have happened with protocols and proper supervision in place, I believe that Wal-Mart did the right thing by us.

When I got the wheels back I noticed three large scratches on the polished lip of the rim. They told me to find a wheel repair shop and they would pay to have the scratches fixed. I sent the estimate to them from a reputable wheel repair shop and they informed me they now have a place local that will fix the scratches. So I brought the wheel in and they said it will take a day to fix. 7 days later (I) called to find out if the wheel is back and Mike who works at the tire center told me I need to call Wheel Max (wheel repair) because something is wrong with the wheel. I called and He told me the wheel is bent!!!!!! The wheels were fine before!!! The wheel max employee told me that you could not balance a tire on a bent wheel. So how did walmart balance them before! I called the Walmart and spoke to the Tire center Manager, Asst. Manager, Store manager, and the District Tire Center Manger and they still have done nothing to help! Not very good service if you ask me! Now I have a damaged warped wheel that I have to fix on my own. Thanks Walmart!

I purchased a new Ford Focus and have been the sole owner since 2001. I have also used Wal-Mart for my tires since the cars purchase. However in the last few years, in my opinion, the tires have been of a low quality and have been unreliable and unsafe.
On January 26, 2007 I purchased 4 Douglas Xtra-Trac P185/65R14 tires. I had them installed; I also purchased the road hazard and lifetime balance and rotation. The tire wore evenly and still has plenty of tread on them. However in Feb/March of 2008 the car developed a violent shake. We pulled the car over and found a large bulge in the tire. We took the car to Wal-mart and they replaced the tire giving us a $13.00 pro-rated credit for the unused portion of the 45000 mile tire. On September 2008, The car again developed a similar violent shake again, however we could not find the cause, nor could the Wal-mart service technician (who did not drive the car; he just visually inspected the tires. The car set for two months because I believed the suspension needed replaced. In December the car still had a shake and I parked it again, waiting for money to fix the suspension. In January 2009 I took the car into a tire shop (Other than Wal-Mart) they informed me all the tires steel belts were separated. I am amazed at the poor quality of these tires. I was told by Wal-mart that they were 45000 miles, but barely got 30,000 miles on the when they started separating. I also am concerned that I purchased 4 new Douglas tires for my Girlfriends 2001 Saturn. I am very concerned that I had received such poor quality tires on my car, that I will replace hers also when I replace mine.

About two? Yrs. ago my wife Patricia Brigance, & my daughter Dawn Powell went to Wallmart together to buy some tires for my wife patricia. When they looked at the installed tires before they left the shop At Wallmart, they saw a bulge in one of them at the seam. They pointed it out to Wallmart before they left & the employee at Wallmart told them it was allright. (He said oh that't normal it's just a bulge at the seam; don,t worry.) They mistakenly took his word for it. If I would have been there I wouldn't have excepted it. But my wife & daughter trusted him. I don't drive her car so I never noticed it. reciently she had a slow leaking tire so I took it in for her to another Wallmart in Kalamazoo, located on West Maine to get it fixed. When they fixed it, they told me that another tire had a bulge in it at seam & it was dangerous & needed to be replaced. They looked up the information on the sales of the tires & the said there wasn't an extended warrantee placed on the tires. I called my wife & she said she knew about the bulge & the employee at Wallmart assured her that it was safe,& our daughter & also our son in law was present when he said this. I told them about this & he basically said how do we know she didn,t hit something? my wife drives a bus for a living & she used to drive an 18 wheeler for a living & she told him she never hit anything with her car & the bulge was there when she bought the tire. They told her that she couldn't prove that she didn't do the damage & they wouldn't replace the tire. I guess they're calling my wife, my daughter, & my son in law all liars. We can't afford to buy another tire right now. Is there anything we can do about this besides never going to Wallmart again? I wonder if Michellon tire Co. would make them replace the tire. It seems that Michellon would be interested in the series numbers on the defective tire; ( It's a law suite just waiting to happen.) I'm just sorry I told her that Michellon was one of the better tires. If they don't want to make it right, I wont be buying any more of their tires. I also wont advertise anything good about them. I'm thinking/hoping that Michellon will back me up on this. I would like to continue to buy their tires in the future; but I wont if they can't make this right. It seems like Wallmart would like to take this tire off the road & send it back to Michellons so they can do a re- call if they have to. All around the bulge it's starting to crack now. Thanks Ralph C. Brigance.

Filter was tighted and refilled with oil. I took it to WalMart the next day. I was given a free oil change and told sorry. The EXACT thing happened a few weeks later! I took my van to the dealership to see if there wasn't something else going on. No. The WalMart lube guy didn't put the O ring that went with the filter. I took my receipt to WalMart, was told to go back the next day to talk to the Manager. I did, he wasn't there. I asked to speak to the store manager, he refused to speak to me. They told me they needed to see the video of my van having the oil changed. It cost me 3 times more at the dealership then it did at WalMart, but I almost burned up my van! All I asked WalMart was for the price of what I had to pay at the dealership. I wrote a letter to the powers that be at the corporate office and have yet to hear from them.

The car was working fine and this was just part of routine maintenance as we have a strict schedule to upkeep our extended warranty service. Upon arriving I saw a sign with a special for a Fuel Injection Service along with the Oil Change. The sign state that it would increase my gas mileage and decided to add it to my service. An hour after driving, the check engine light came on. My wife, Rebecca, immediately called Walmart and spoke to Atish, the Assistant Manager who explained that the fuel injection cleaning service can sometimes cause the O2 sensor to gum up as this happens with some of the newer cars. He said to drive it around a bit and to bring the car back to Walmart and they would clear the check engine light. My wife went in on 12/26/08, as Walmart was closed the previous day. They cleared the engine light. The check engine light came on again an hour later. We returned on 12/29/08 and the Bay Supervisor wrote on our invoice to take it to the Hyundai dealership to have them clear the sensor and they would pay for it. On 1/2/09, the dealer inspectected the vehicle and stated that the O2 sensor and the Catalytic Converter was completely ruined by the fuel injection service in the amount of $1579 in repairs. We took the Hyundai Dealership paperwork to another shop to have their top mechanic look at the paperwork and he confirmed that with the codes given on the paperwork he would have concluded the same thing. Walmart's insurance, Claim Management, Inc., is refusing to pay for the damage caused by their client. They have repeatedly stated that they are waiting on video from the service department and even hung up while on the phone with them. We have been without a car now for two weeks and it is putting a burden on our work. We now have a non-working car that we are still making monthly payments on.

I found a manager who had the guys look at the car after all. They sighted it as a bad valve stem and said they had fixed the problem. I have continued to have problems with the same tire. It ended up rupturing after about 3000 miles due to excessive wear from constantly going flat. Sadly, my bad experiences with Walmart and other major corporate car shops do not end here. On Sunday 12/18/08 I noticed a screw in the tread of the passenger front tire of my vehicle, and drove less than 5miles to store 2089 for a patch-plug. I was greeted and checked-in promptly and left my vehicle in their care. After ~1.5 hours I returned to pick it up. I paid, and then went outside to drive off but noticed the center cap of the affected wheel was missing. A closer look showed new damage to the outside center of the wheel consistient with having been dropped or laid down on the pavement, as well as circular grooves in the wheel metal from the tire mounting equipment. I imediately took several pictures, which I can provide. After re-entering the store and talking with the service staff, information for initiating or filing a claim was exchanged. However, no one was able to find the missing center cap until I personally walked over to the tire mounting machine and picked it up. Further, the affected tire-wheel was not re-balanced. I never recieved a straight answer why that was not done. As I live several hundered miles away and was only visiting locally, I needed to get back on the road. The affected wheel shook the entire vehicle all the way home. Additionally, I checked the tightness of lugnuts after 50miles, as indicated, and found the locking (keyed) lugnut to be only finger tight, at best. Coincidentally, all four wheels were inspected, balanced, and rotated just 2 days earlier at the local Honda dealership as part of an unrelated warranty service item. No damage or vibrations at that time.

I took my car to walmart in North East, MD for an oil change and fuel injection cleaning. Let me begin with the oil change. I had a high mileage oil change done on my car. It is a 2001 Monte Carlo SS and it was getting close to 100,000 miles. I want to keep my car for as long as possible because I love my car. I paid the extra money for the high mileage oil change only to find out after the fact that there isn't much of a difference between the high mileage oil change and the standard oil change even though there is a big difference in price. All of the oil changes performed by Walmart are standard oil changes. The same oil filter is used for all three options of oil changes they offer. However, they do not tell you that when selecting your services. It is not stated anywhere on their oil change selections. When complaining about this they told me they do not need to explain to their customers that the same type of oil filter is used no matter what oil change you select. I am sorry but if I am paying more for an upgraded service I expect all services to be upgraded not just the oil. The fuel injection cleaning is what caused the most damage to my car. The chemicals they used melted my catayltic converter. It took me several weeks to get a manager to talk to me about the issues with the services I received. When I finally got a manager to talk to I was passed to one manager after another, having to explain the situation over and over again. Walmart had their own mechaninc look at my car which I knew was not going to result in acknowledgement of Walmart being at fault. I filed a claim with Walmarts Tire and Lube insurance company and had a nonaffiliated mechanic look at my car. By this time more than a month has passed. I was set up with a woman by the name of Regina at the insurance company for Walmart. I talked to her several different times to give her the same information. I am not sure why she kept losing the information of the mechanic that I had my car checked at. Then on Christmas Eve I received a phone call from Regina stating that because it was over a month since the service was completed that she could not hold Walmart responsible for the damages to my car. She took her good old time investigating my claim, which I don't think she did, that it was too late and I was not being compensated for the damages that they caused to my car. Walmart purposely takes their time in the claims process so that they don't have to fix what they have broken.

Having bought a used 1998 Honda Accord in 2004, the first time we tried to change the oil was a big ordeal. We didn't have the right tools, but we ended up getting them and changed the oil in the car ourselves several times. The time came that we just didn't have the time to do it ourselves, so we decided to take it to WalMarts TLE the next several times. We moved to the England per military orders back in July 2008, and this past week tried to change the oil in the car. We got the oil filter off, then came the issue of getting the drain plug off. It would NOT come off. Upon further inspection, we saw that it had been tightened so much, and been destroyed by whoever at the WalMart TLE put it back on. After hours of trying to get it off, we finally gave up, and replaced the oil filter. Being that we live in England now, we can not simply take the car to a local WalMart, present our most recent receipt from the previous oil change, and say, fix it now. We also did not feel comfortable taking it to a local mechanic, considering that we are not sure how familiar an English mechanic would be with an American Honda Accord. My husband had to take it to the auto shop, on base after he had worked a full days work. The mechanic there helped him out, gave us a new drain plug, and said that there are countless people who just get their cars and decide to change the oil on their own. Then in a last ditch effort they end up taking it to the Auto Shop on base to get it done because WalMart TLE has done something to make it impossible to work on their car. I will never shop at a WalMart, or company owned by WalMart again. I have a history with them, having worked there for a combined total of about a year. The way they treat their associates is a direct representation of the respect the TLE employees give to your car. WalMart will be receiving a complain from me. It will be sent to the manager of the store in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the manager of the TLE department, and also the president of the WalMart corporation. However, I expect nothing in return, considering they could not keep their word when it came to my employment.

They are not helping me to resolve it. When I started talking to my friends and colleagues about this incident I was shocked. Most of them, who had gone to Wal-Mart once, never went back there. They never vacuum the vehicle. They never check tire pressure. Not sure if they do proper oil change, for our vehicle. We cant really believe them. They claim that they do battery, transmission, pressure etc check on the glossy print out, but in reality they do not do any. One of my friend claim they never ever check tire pressure. Another instance, I was here for oil change and a complete vehicle check? the alternator of the vehicle started giving problems same day after oil change at Wal-Mart. I had to tow my vehicle to pep boys, pay $400, to get it fixed. Am not 100% sure why this happened but the alternator warning indicator was on as soon as I picked up my vehicle. One of my friends asked for a battery change but they actually installed it the incorrect way and it caused damage. They were trying to get away but on regular insistence they relented and compensated him. Least I thought I can do is to warn others about my experiences.

However, when I picked up the tires, the price was $15 more per tire. I had an e-mail from Walmart.com that quoted the price I would pay, but this made no difference to the local store. Their price in the computer was $15/tire more than the Walmart.com price and they could not change it. Even if there is a price inmcrease during the few days it took to ship the tires and then for me to pick them up, the price quoted at the time of online sale should hold. This smells of scam.

Although now it increases four bucks and it cost me only thirty three dollar for that package. Then the staff took all the information and I signed the form for the maintenance.
The bottomline is they put the wrong oil which is syntetic oil where its totally different from the package that I've chosen and it will cost me more than double and I refused to pay for it because that's not what I am expecting to pay and he said either I'm gonna pay or drain it again and put another oil that I've chosen.

Since I got my car in 2006, I have had my oil changed at Wal-Mart, mostly because of the convenience. I save my receipts from all of the trips. Recently, I had my oil changed there and started hearing a funny noise. My friend noticed it as well. I took it to Meineke to be inspected and they told me that the motor went bad because what probably happened was that Wal-Mart had a couple of people working on it, drained the oil and started up the vehicle without any oil in it, causing severe damage to the motor. I called up and asked to speak to a Tire and Lube Manager, and Chuck answered. He told me it wasn't possible because they don't deal with the motor...hello, the oil has to be changed so in a sense they do! Then he told me that they better not be doing that. I said that Meineke told me that they have had other customers with the same problem. Chuck told me I could talk to someone higher than him in management. I told him I would definitely do that and that I am ensuring that I never take my car there again and that I am spreading the word to others what terrible service Wal-Mart Tire & Lube has

I live back in the boonies and we are not close to anything, so I call walmart ahead of time to see what time they close, the lady tell me 8pm. So I ask her if I can make an appointment, she tell me no as long as I am there before 8pm they will take me in. So I drive the hour and a half that it takes me to get to the closest walmart. I get there at 7:45pm, a guy comes outside and tells me that they cannot take me because they have already swept and it is almost 8oclock. Needless to say I was not very happy but accepted it as a crappy part of life. So I decide to go ahead and drive an extra 30 minutes to my in-laws and stay all-night there and go first thing in the morning since I had work to do in that area the next day. I arrive at walmart at 6:40am they open at 7am. The doors were locked when I arrived so I was not able to go in to wait, so I wait in my car. Another car pulls up at 7:01 and goes around through the main doors, FINALLY at 7:10 I see movement inside the garage area, they men start moving the tires out of the gates, and preparing for customers, at 7:30 a man asks me what I need done, I tell him I need 4 tires put on, I ask him how long does he think it will take, he says about 45 min because and get this? there is one person in front of me the guy that went around the building in the front way? I tell him but I have to have it done by 8am because I have to leave for work and that is why I was there waiting at 6:40am before anyone else. He gives me a blank stare and says nothing. At this point I am in such an enormous rage from the night before and now this I just get my keys back and leave because now it is 7:45 and there is no point wasting anymore time with walmart. I told him I would like to have the screw removed and the tire patched and then I asked him how long it would take. He told me it would take about an hour. I told him I would like to be put on the list and I would browse the store and shop while the punctured tire was being fixed. So I went shopping but after about an hour I returned to the Auto center desk where there were two clerks one was on the phone and he sounded like he was making personal phone calls while ignoring the large line of customers at the desk. There was approximately 8 or more customers in line. I waited until my turn had come to talk to the clerk Mark. I asked if my truck tire was done yet, he could not find the repair paperwork so he dissapeared for a few minutes to go find it. When her returned he said my service was CANCELLED because Walmart beleived the tires were not fixeable and they could not find any screw even after I showed another clerk the screw in the tread. They told me I could buy a complete new set of tires but otherwise they could not do anything for me. When I asked why they had not called me they gave me a blank stare and gave me attitude like they did not care at all. At this point, I was mad because had I known they would not perform any service and fix my tire I would have gone elsewhere to get it fixed. Then they tried to pressure me into buying new tires and then told me it would be another hour or so to put on the tire they had removed back on. I asked for them to put the tire on now and cancel the work order. Then both clerks Mark and Cody gave me attitude and Cody threw the keys at me. The older lady behind me had a similiar problem and demanded to speak to a store manager and was told none were available. I walked out in rage voying never to remain to Walmart to buy anything again!!!! Then the clerks gave me a rude stare and I left. Next time I will go to my local tire store where I know they will not treat me like this and I will get actual customer service. On 10/18/08 I took my car into the North Salisbury, MD Walmart to their Tire & Lube Express around 1:00pm to have 1 tire changed on my front drivers side. An hour and a half later I receive a call from Shawn (Service Manager) that they have a problem. He informs me that they locked my keys inside of my car and broke my front windshield. I immediately head over to investigate the problem and talk to Shawn. He informs me that while attempting to unlock my door they cracked my windshield while prying the doors back (he didn't mention the device) but appeared to be damaged by a crowbar. He takes me into the office to show me pictures of the damage that was done; at the time the only damage visible was to the windshield itself. Shawn tells me that he is going to give me the tire for free and to get an estimate on the windshield so that they could pay for it to be replaced. Upon arriving home I opened my door and noticed that there was alot more damage to the inside of the door itself. This prompted me to look at all of the doors to see if they attempted to break into my car on the others. It turns out that there was even more damage to the inside of the passenger door itself as well. I return to Wal-mart and tell Shawn that there was alot more damage then he actually said and that I need to speak to a manager. I explain the situation to Betsy (Assistant Manager) and we go outside to look and document the additional damage that was done to the car.
The damage is as follows: 1. Damage to driver side door - inside scratches and cuts, weather strip and inside door strip is ripped and torn and tint is scratched. 2. Damage to passenger side door - inside scratches, dents, weather strip is torn and tint is scratched. 3. Cracked windshield (about 6 inches) on passenger side door. 4. Scratch to rear passenger side door where some type of device was inserted. Betsy took pictures, wrote down the damage and signed and dated a paper she gave me and informed me that she would key the event into the system the same day. A few days later, I recieve a phone call from Walmarts insurance company by a man named Travis. He informs me that I need to get an estimate and fax it to him. I take my car into Expert Collision Repair in Salisbury, MD in which they quote the damage/labor at $1,890, and have it faxed to Travis. I contact him the same day and leave a message on his voicemail that I had the estimate faxed and am waiting for his response. I don't hear again from him until 2 days later in which he informs me that because the damage is over $1,500 dollars I have to get a second estimate. On 10/23/08 I take my car to Pohanka Collision Centers in Salisbury, MD for a second estimate in which they quote the damage/labor at $2626.68, and have it faxed to Travis. Travis calls me the same day and informs me that he will process the first estimate because it is lower and will mail a check out for the first estimate + 5 days to get a rental car at $35 per day. However, although quoted higher, the estimator at Pohanka Auto Body informed me that their repair/paint techniques would be better suited to repair my car to its original state.

I bought my car in for a oil change. The attendant told me it would take at least two to have it done. I was fine with that. What I wasn't fine with is when they finally got to my car, and this after waiting two hours, they told me that they had to decline the oil change. There absurd reason was that they couldn't remove the dip stick from the engine because it was broken off. That is true however I had repair it well enough to have the oil change until I was able to fine a new dip stick. What upset me was that they never made an effort to even attempt to remove the dip stick.

I saw the mechanics talking from the customers waiting area, and all of a sudden they were backing my car out of the service dock. The manager came in, and said they had to decline changing my oil because they wouldn't be able to measure how much they were putting back, or how short it would be. Again they didn't make a effort or apologize for the long wait, and the manager in that area didn't give a logical excuse to explain why they didn't make a effort. He abruptly went to the next customer, and forgot I was even there. Again a logical explanation would have me understand why no effort was made to change the oil.

I find this behavior totally unsatisfactory. I have had the oil change at another Wal-Mart before, and the mechanic that change that oil had no problem with changing it, and he was considerate enough to informed me that I needed to find a oil dip stick soon. Again this was poor, poor customer service. I said nothing to the manager or the attendant. I got my keys, and left. That's how upset I was about the service. I am totally disappointed in the services Wal-Mart rendered. I don't expect any type of discipline against the employees. I had to let some know that this type of behavior is unacceptable. Thank you.

They gave me a proration of $19 on new tire which was $50. The total came to $42 something with taxes, no tire balance. Nothing else was charged. I bought road hazard again on the new tire for $9.

Next week after this, I had another tire went flat. I took it to them and thought they would say the same about buying a new one and prorate it. When I go in there, they said they would not prorate and that I have to buy it at full price. I said, "Why? I had same thing last week with another tire." They said because the tire went bad because of alignment. I said, "How come you did not say that about the tire last week", because I bought all of them at the same time, and they all have been used the same.

Then I talked to their manager, who gave me a weird answer saying, that the first tire had a nail, that's why they did it. I can't understand. If it is a nail why wouldn't they fix it instead of making me buy a new one. And it is not true because with the first tire the mechanic told me that has to be replaced because it is worn out. I had to pay $76 with taxes on the second tire. Charged me full price, no proration and also charged tire balance which was not charged on the first one.

I cannot understand how they treat the same problem two different ways in a span of one week. I would agree with them if when I bought the first tire and they said it is b/c of alignment and you have to pay full price. But they did not. Second time they did. There is no consistency. I have been a regular Walmart customer but this incident has really hurt and attitude of the manager who cannot honor the same thing that her own colleague did a week ago and giving me a nail answer is ridiculous.

They had drained all the oil out of the car I asked if they had put oil back in, they assured me that they did. I went home, that was on a Tuesday. I did not go anywhere on Wednesday but I had appointments on Thursday in a town apx 50 miles away.

During my driving on Thursday and my many appointments, the oil light came on. I had just passed a parts store so I pulled in there. There was no oil in the car at all. They put 5 quarts of oil in. They said the oil filter was leaking and when they had tried to remove the filter, they had to have stripped it. I had to go to a car dealer ship there in Concordia to get a filter - he removed the filter with a regular filter wrench. He said it does not take a special tool, the motor in the Saturn is the same as in a Chevy Cavalier. The filter was full of metal chunks. He said the motor would not last much longer it already was pinging.

It was over a 50 mile trip because i had to go through Benoit to get home because of a stop I needed to make there. On the way home the car started to lose power and make a knocking sound, I barely made it home. Since then we are down to one car. I have had to put off trying to find a job because we cannot do it with only one vehicle in such a rural area. This has put a very huge financial strain on us. The weekend before this happened, I took my son to college in Garden City KS, a 300-mile trip and the car did not use a drop of oil. The motor is ruined. Wal-Mart says they followed their protocol.

On October 03, 2008 this is what occurred. I called the Wal-Mart store to inquire about getting new tires. I was put on hold for several minutes each time. The 2nd time I called I was told that the manager of the dept Sandra was going to call me back and I left my # and name. She never called back and I called at 3:41 and Sandra still could not be found. I had to hang up because I was at work. When I got off work at 6:05PM, I drove to the location while on hold again. By the time I got to the store she picked up.

I told her that I was outside and would walk inside. I explained that I had come on Monday to get 3 tires for my car and they only had one tire of the brand that I wanted. They told me that I could check on Wednesday and they should have the tires in. I called on Wednesday and the tires were not there and there was no one that could tell me when they would be in. I simply wanted to know since the tires had not met its warranty of 60000 miles what could be done. She went outside with me and looked at the tires. I explained that the back driver tire had a slow leak in it and I had to put fix a flat in it to get home. She stated that they could take the tire off and remove the fix a flat and see if there was still a leak if so they would patch it and put the tire back on.

My main concern was what would be the effects of removing it from the tire. Would it cause problems with the tire? What would happen if it made the problem worse? I was told that was a chance that I would have to take. I explained that I think the tire should be replaced. Sandra refused to neither replace the tire nor look in the system to see how much they could even discount a tire since all my tires were bought from Wal-Mart and they had each purchase from that store in the system. I asked to speak with her store manager. I was told he was gone for today so I called and filed a complaint at 1-800-walmart while she went to get the assistant store manager (Deborah **) who proved to have no training on being a manager from her bad attitude.

She looked at the tire and then said that she was not going to allow them to take the tire off because I had fix a flat in it. She then asked me about my spare tire for my car and that I could have put that on the car and then brought the flat tire in to be replaced. (WHAT THE HELL) I thought that was a poor choice of statements to be used in this case. She lacked customer service skills and had no knowledge of the policies for the tire dept. Another comment that was made was “You have 90 days to return with a receipt.” She must have not known that that policy does not apply to tires. She also refused to look up the past tire purchases that were in the system because I did not have a receipt with me. The ironic thing was Sandra had just told me they could remove the fix a flat and patch the tire. So I don't understand why one person would tell me one thing and then I am then told they could not do anything.

I have never been treated so disrespectful by an individual in the tire dept until today. She started to talk over me and yell at me like I was not the customer. So I yelled back then, let her have a few choice words that fit her attitude. I then proceeded into the store to obtain the store manager and district manager info to make sure they know what kind of managers they had working for them and representing the store. The workers were tired and ready to go, so even if I could have gotten new tires it was going to be a rushed job. That is when mistakes happen that could cost me my life. I feel that I should have been treated as a valued customer and a solution should have been found to make me a happy customer. Not once did Deborah ** apologize or say anything about an alternative solution to the problem, she was just rude and wanted to argue to show she was the manager and to her I was nothing but a dissatisfied customer. I am going to be talking to the District Manager about the treatment that i received and will not let this rest.

bought 2 tires in 10/07, 2 more 12/07 viva 2, 60,000 mile warranty & road hazard. 6/08 & < 20,000 miles i get a flat. I put donut on take tire to wal-mart & am told they can't do anything about it, but they can rotate my tires. with a line of people & me having patients to see i took the tire to a local shop & paid $5 to have it plugged. 2 weeks later i develop a wobble, front drive tire has a indention across the width of the tire. the next day is flat. i put donut on take flat to walmart & am quoted a new tire price. when i questioned this, i have 60,000 mile warranty tires & road hazard. he tried to tell me i didn't have road hazard but i showed him the receipt (remembering that i paid for this thinking it was just a way to get more money) & then insisted the 60,000 mile warranty was not effective without the road hazard purchase. what kind of warranty is that?

i eventually convince the guy the tire should be prorated & was again charged 9.95 for road hazard. by this time i had been at wal mart for about 2hrs i left vowing to speak with a manager later. within 2 weeks i developed another flat. my fiance took the tire in paid $50 for a totally different brand tire , his goal was to have a good tire. 2 weeks later, i have 4 tires that seem to have a slow air leak, a wobble, & now the car feels like it is swaying. i will only drive it when i have to & not more than a few miles & not over 40.

i plan to phone wal mart in an attempt to get something done to correct this, i am a home health nurse & i spend many miles in my car. right now i am using our truck til my tires are right. on my receipt the tech recorded my mileage as 2 on another it was 5. this makes it impossible to prorate accurately. i would like my money back & i will go else where to buy my tires.

I asked my wife to take the SUV to Wal-Mart for a slow leaking tire. I thought that a plug that I had installed a couple of years ago was giving out. She called me at work to tell me that they told her that the tire had damage to the inside sidewall and could not be fixed and next I heard quotes for new tires. When I mentioned concern about mixing new a new tire with old, all of a sudden I was getting aquote for 4 tires. Hold on - if I hit something bad enough to damage a sidewall either my wife or I would have noticed. I told her to hold off until I investigated.

When I got home I found that there was a nail in the tire tread - easy enough to find with a chalk circle around it and a mark on the sidewall where to find it. There was no damage or deformity to the rest of the tire. I applied a plug (with a kit I had bought from walmart) and it cost me about 2 dollars, instead of the $500 Wal-Mart's tire experts wanted to charge me. In my opinion, this store is either incompetent or dishonest, or both.

No damage. I was suspicious of their tactics and din't get sucked in.

Ok. First off these clowns only get paid minimum wage to change your oil or put tires on your car, so do you really think they care about your safety or how much time/wages you have lost? Didn't think so either. So with that said yes they are going to do you dirty. Because they don't care if they lose you as a customer.

Remember they get paid min. wage no matter how many customers they get or lose.

I'm the same that had the problem with the stripped stud. I went back to Walmart have the car fixed. On my way home I noticed a very strange noise from the brake on the same wheel they worked on. The noise got louder and louder and the brakes stopped working as well as they should. I began to smell something burning. It sounded like mechanical brake damage. I called them and told them about the problem. They admitted to working on the brakes.. (I have no idea why) I told them the car was not drivable. The service manager drove a mechanic to my house and fixed the brakes at my place. Something was bent and they had to bend / bang it back into place.

I cannot express how much frustration and time was put into this. I should have just got my tires mounted at Discount. 1. had tires mounted 2. they stripped a stud when mounting 3. next time I went back they refused to rotate / balance tires 4. Had to go back and speak with manager - he agreed to fix 5. Had to call again later and remind them to order the stud 6. they fixed the problem. they cut off part of the stud and rethreaded it. 7. IN the process of fixing it they damaged the brakes. 8. they fixed the brakes. I have no idea how many trips to walmart and how many hours of my time went into this. I got 2 free oil changes in the process. I would not go through it again for a lifetime of free oil changes.

They said that it was stripped and hammered back on. Refused to work on car. I went back and spoke with a manager. He agreed to fix the stud and gave me a free oil change. However several of the mechanics accused me. It took a lot of self control to keep my cool at that point.

I called later to see if they could fix it they said they'll call back. I'm going up there today to get the stud replaced. Oh yeah, if you pay for the upgraded oil change they don't add power steering fluid. This is one of the nicest walmart's you'll ever see. (nicest part of plano) don't be fooled. Their car service is crap.

I recently got a flat tire. I've got the spare on there but it's a donut and I can't drive much on it. Of course I have to have the stud replaced before anyone will mount the wheel back on the car.

Seems there was oil leaking from the valve cover, causing the engine to lose oil. Local garage did an estimate, noticed valve cover had been loosened, for what reason, we have no idea. Walmart technicians were the only ones who had access to the engine compartment. car had never been worked on, except for regular maintenance. Oil level was full on pre-service oil check, which meant the oil was not leaking before the oil change.

It's gonna cost over $6,000. to put a used engine in this 'less than 3 year old' vehicle. Of course, Walmart denies any negligence on their part. Assistant manager offered no solutions for her dilemma, just blew her off. I called and asked why did he not offer to take her statement, or suggest her filing a claim, or review the video. Now he will have the video reviewed. We will have to wait and see.

Economic--- over $6,000.00 to replace the engine with a used one, not to mention towing services, time lost from work. When my daughter [car] broke down, she had her 8 month old baby girl with her. She has had to borrow a friend's vehicle to get to work. Battery was installed and we were on our way, recently we started having a problem with our van not wanting to start, and took it back to Walmart after getting a battery warning light on the dash. At Walmart we discovered the battery cable was connected wrong and caused the cable to melt and as a result blow the fuse that controls the battery, this is the same Walmart that installed the battery and a technician informed me that this was their fault as the cable was not connected properly causing it to burn.

I was not offered resolution but told I had to file a claim and their company would decide wheter or not they were liable for the problem and if they would pay for the repairs to my vehicle. I can not operate the vehicle because of the damage the bad cable has caused to the vehicle and the damage is a direct result of them not doing the connecting properly. Now I have had to have my vehicle towed to a repair facility where they will have to correct the damage Walmart has done to my vehicle at MY expense. As I wait to find out whether or not Walmart will accept liability for their technician screwing up my vehicle.

I have recently lost my home and a vehicle due to being unemployed, I now am employed and was able to finance this vehicle however we are still economically strained and I do not have the money to shell out for these repairs. We are right now living paycheck to paycheck and am without a vehicle due to the fact this was the only one we own right now. I do not at this time know the extent of the damage this burnt cable may have done to my engine if any but do know I don't have the funds to correct the problem and Walmart wants me to cover it out of my pocket and attempt to seek reimbursement from them at that time without guarantee they will pay for their mistake.

I wanted them installed on the front and they told me that it would be against the law to install the Two new tires on the front so I decided to only replace one tire so I could get it installed on the front, and was told I could come back tomarrow and get the other one installed, I guess these guys think I am stupid I promise to never buy another item from Wal Mart,

if I would have agreed to have the first set of tires installed I would have probably had a bolwout because my GVW is 9300lbs and the tires that they selected had a GVW of far less since my truck has a service body and was sold as a cab and chassis and has a higher GVW than the first tires they were trying to sell me,

after checking with a commercial Highway Patrol Officer that lives near me he told me he never heard of such a thing and in his opinion it would be better to install them on the front since blowing out a front tire makes the truck harder to control than blowing a rear tire, I agree with his statement,

I met with MIKE and after I told him that I needed to replace my two rear tires (because they were bold and one had a lump on it). MIKE refused to sell me the tires 205 70R15 because the van had 215 70R15 tires on it. He told me that I would have to replace all four tires (my front tires were almost new and did not need to be replaced).

MIKE insisted that my Chevy van came with 205 size tires and not 215. I explained to MIKE that I needed the two rear tires real bad and that I was asking him to sell me two (legal size tires, size 205 NOT 215), he said no because by Wal-Mart policy he is required to make all my tires legal size. MIKE's tactics reflect a negative impact on Wal-Mart Automotive and was evident as the Automotive Bays were empty.

MIKE caused me to drive away with bold tires (again, one had a lump on it--ready to blow) and instead of thinking safety for his customer, he was thinking I need to sell more tires. Two females (mother & daughter) witnessed MIKE's actions (he was trying to talk them into having something else done to their vehicle but they told him that they only wanted an oil change).

My wife regularly took her van to Walmart in Pinellas Park, Fl for oil changes. After one of the oil changes, I noticed oil dripping under the van onto the concrete driveway. Upon looking under the van I could see fresh oil dripping from several places. We returned the van immediately and the first one to look at it reported that he could see any dripping oil. A second mechanic checked and found that the drain plug had not been tightened.

My wife drives 30 miles one way to work across a 5 mile long bridge. The engine would have been destroyed due to losing the oil on her way to work. Walmart was apologized and assured us that it would not happen again.

Six months later the same thing happened. The drain plug was not tightened. Once again, as she was backing out to go to work, I happened to be outside and noticed a large puddle of oil on the driveway. Immediately she returned the van to Walmart and they tightened the oil plug. This time I asked to speak to a manager, but he was tied up in a meeting.

A day later, when I finally got to speak to the manager, he was very uncaring and acted like it was no big deal, that accidents sometimes happen. I pointed out that this was the second time this same thing had occured and that had I not been able to detect the oil leak, the van's engine would have been destroyed. He shrugged this off as if this was not important. I informed him that after several years of using Walmart's service we would be taking the van elsewhere for oil changes. His reply was a little disturbing. He said, Well, do what you have to do. Walmart has lost a good customer and we do not hesitate to tell others who are using Walmart's service what happened to us.

I have been noticing a noise coming from the left rear tire of my 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I jacked up the car and spun the tire and noticed that it was obvious out of round. The tires on my car were purchased as a set of 4 from Wal-Mart store #2991 in Cedar Park, TX, on 12/31/05. Although I have put 34,295 miles on the tires since then, they still have plenty of tread. Tread depth was measured as 6/32 on all the good tires and 10/32 on the defective tire.

I brought the car to the Georgetown Wal-Mart this morning to replace the tire. I had purchased the tire protection plan (receipt is attached). At first, there seemed to be no problem and they began to work on the car. I was called in later and told that my rim was bent. The serviceman, Jonathan #3687, tried to demonstrate this by spinning the tire while observing a reference point next to the rim. It actually looked pretty straight to me, while the tire itself was obviously out of round as could be seen without the aid of a reference point. I see no bearing of a minute imperfection in the rim on that obvious problem. After he was unable to demonstrate that the rim was bent, Jonathan then tried to convince me that the reason the tire was out of round was because I had not had the tires rotated and rebalanced. I would have to buy a new tire outright.

I know that tires can wear unevenly if they are not rotated, but this is wear on the inside or outside compared with the wear on the opposite side of the tread. It does not cause tires to be out of round. If it did, then all 4 tires would be out of round because none had been rotated. In my case, one tire was obviously out of round and the other 3 were just fine. Balance was not a problem because the tires were still in balance. There was no vibration, only some noise from the defective tire. I do not choose to rotate or rebalance my tires provided they do not go out of balance.

I accept the reduced lifetime in return for not spending extra time at the tire store. Even with this practice of not rotating tires, I am not accustomed to seeing tires go out of round on my vehicles. I believe that my tire was defective and was coming apart internally and would have failed catastrophically had I continued to drive on it. The tire was not out of round when I bought it.

A tire that is changing shape is structurally unsound and is an unsafe tire. I believe that the store is putting its customers at risk for refusing to honor warranties on obviously dangerous tires and is defrauding its customers by requiring them to purchase replacements for unsafe, warrantied tires at full price. I feel that the auto department at Georgetown #1303 does not care for the safety of their customers.

I brought my 2002 Ford Mustang V6 Hardtop into Walmart for an oil change. I had brought my car here several times before when visiting friends in the area because there is less wait time and my oil change gets done faster than the WalMarts in Indiana. I dropped the car off and went to run some errands and came back to pick up the car an hour or so later. When I picked up the car, the girl at the checkout noted on my receipt that when the mechanic had put down my window and then tried to put it back up, the window wouldn't go back up and they think it might be the fuse or the motor and they just wanted to let me know. Of course, not having had a problem with this before and having just used my window at a drive-thru the day before I was shocked and disconcerted to here this.

I went out to my car and sure enough the window would not go up no matter how many times I pressed the button. So I went back in and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out and tried to make light of the situation (which I did not find comforting nor helpful) and tried the button himself and then him and another young male mechanic popped the hood and looked at the fuse box. When that appeared to be ok, they looked under the steering column at the fuse there and then proceeded to guess what was wrong. The young male mechanic said "it looks like its the motor because the other window is going up and down just fine and it's a shared relay". So the manager then offered to call some local automotive parts places for estimates on the motor. I immediately said, "whoa, what does all this mean?!" still in shock from having just dropped off my car from an oil change and then receiving my car with a malfunction. They then said that I would most likely need to replace the motor at my own expense. That's when I really lost it.

I asked why I was expected to fix something they broke? They then told me they weren't responsible for it because it had nothing to do with the oil change and that the motor could have been ready to go out. I told them I hadn't had any previous problems with my windows and that I had a hard time repairing something that happened when the car was in their care that worked fine just the day before. The manager basically told me I was ****outta luck. So I asked exactly how I was supposed to repair the window when it was a Sunday and everything was closed. His suggestion was to park it at a friend's house and take it first thing tomorrow morning. I told him that there were several things wrong with that seeing as none of my friends had a garage in which to secure the car and that I did not feel safe leaving my car parked anywhere when my drivers side window was down giving anyone a chance to steal from my car and the car itself.

The manager just replied that Bloomington wasn't like Indianapolis and crime wasn't bad here, to just take out what I didn't want stolen. I then told him the weather report said it was going to rain and that I had no way to protect my interior from the rain w/the window down and no garage to put it in. And he said, well I'd have to say your timing is just bad with all this happening on a Sunday. I was so exasperated and frustrated that he was so non-chalant about this happening and it being their doing. So I told him, how could it not be their fault when if the window wasn't part of the oil change, what were they doing putting it down in the first place? His response was that it was OSHA to have a window down when a car was brought into the bay area. So I told him, that that did in fact make it part of the oil change then. He then reiterated that I would need to pay for the repair an Walmart was not responsible.

So I asked to speak to the store manager. She came out and told me there was nothing for them to do that all they could do is file a claim with their insurance and wait to see what they said. She then called her "co"-manager to "back her up". So I told her that I would like to file a claim. That turned into a fiasco of me going from the Customer Service desk back to the Auto Dept so I could watch my car because it was in an open lot an not secured and being from out of town I had items in the trunk. Sonny, the initial manager I dealt with then told me that I needed to not be so paranoid, that Bloomington was not Indianapolis. After waiting almost 20mins for them to figure out where the claim forms were and which one to use,

Sonny finally came back and we sat outside (in the 90 degree humidity and heat) to fill out the form. He obviously did not know what he was doing and I had to (on several occassions) correct him on filling out the form to correctly reflect the incident. After filling out the form (of which I never got a copy, even though I requested one) and them allegedly faxing it to the insurance company (I never saw this, I was just told it was faxed), I was told CMI (their insurance company) would contact me, though they couldn't say when, and they would review video of the incident to see if WalMart was at fault. I spent 2.5hrs after picking up my car dealing with this and during the entire ordeal not a single employee or manager said they were sorry or offered me any sort of compensation.

Every single employee I interacted with treated me like I was overreacting and acted like they did not understand why I was so upset. I don't understand how WalMart practices business, but a customer should not go in for a $30 oil change and leave with $200 worth of estimated repairs done at the hands of one of their employees and be left with nothing more than "sorry bout ya" and an attitude of disdain and bother that the customer was raising questions and demanding answers.

Aside from the emotional aggravation and stress of dealing with the poor customer service and having to demand to speak to manager after manager and demand to file a claim, the damage that resulted is potentially upwards of a $200 (parts and labor) repair of the driverside window motor, potential loss of property from the vehicle, potential loss of the vehicle, and storm damage to the driver side interior from the rainstorms later that day.

I was told that my truck would be ready in about one hour. I returned to the service in one hour and waited about 20 more minutes for them to finish. They were training new technicians.

I have made a habit of checking under the hood after each oil change. I've heard horror stories about loose or missing filters, lost caps, and tools left in the engine area. I lifted the hood and found that the coolant feed hose was loose. A technician happened to be standing next to me and I looked closer to find that the connection stem to the radiator was broken. I pointed this out and the technician reported it to the trainer.

I completed an incedent report before leaving the Clermont, FL, Wal Mart. This only brought hostility from the technicians, trainer and managers. Sammy the Assistant Manager over Automotive came out and looked at the radiator but never said anything to me. He instructed the crew to reveiw the video and left. Then Jodi demanded the incident report.

The rediator must be replaced. The estimate given to WalMart is for $594.00. Definetly a hardship on me. Wal Mart denied my claim. I advise every person I meet not to get automotive service from Wal Mart.

The end of May I went to my Walmart Tire and Lube center to have all four of my tires replaced. I drop my car off and am told it'll be about an hour. Not a problem. I go into the store an pick up some items I needed before coming back to wait in the waiting area. I am there four hours for them to change my tires. I live just down the street and go straight home as I worked in the morning and it's now past 10 p.m.

The next morning I start my way to work when I hear what I thought was the tire rubbing on the passenger side. I get to work and check the tire but find no heat and no signs of rubbing. I contact Walmart that day and they said to bring it back in and they'd look at it. I do so and they can find nothing wrong and I'm told that I can come back the next day in the morning to talk to one of their head mechanics. I work morning hours for the next two days, unhappily driving on this loud tire before I get back in.

The head mechanic says she can find nothing wrong either and I should take it to Les Schwab and see if I need an alignment. They did opt to rotate tires to see if it helped at all. It didn't. I go to Les Schwab, they find nothing but a bent rim, which isn't causing the noise, I have it changed and away I go. Noise still intact. My parents came to visit and my father, a hobbyist mechanic goes over the tire as well. As a last ditch effort to figure it out we check the pressure. The drivers side tire is at 85psi and the tire limit is 44psi. I had not put air in these tires after getting them changed, I hadn't done anything to them which means the pressure is what it was when I left walmart.

For supposed professionals they didn't give me very good service on my car and I could have died from the fact that they were negligent. I will never be going to Walmart for tires again. Ever.

I have been putting gas at this WalMart Gas Station for almost 2 years now. It's on the way to work (convenient) and cheaper than most other gas stations. My concern is that the gas is contaminated! My fuel Pump just went out on my VW Beetle and the Service Manager said the gas may be contaminated, so they tested it and it WAS contaminated. I'm wondering if that's why the gas is cheaper? It's a concern, and I'm not sure how to investigate this.

New fuel pump. I also had 3/4 of a tank which they had to drain out. A new fuel pump costs $510-definitely a financial hardship for us

Called auto tow service to two SUV down to tire store to replair flat. At the tire store technician informed me that tire was flat not because of nail or foreign object, but because the old valve stem caused the air to leak out and that the tire had to be replaced because I had ruined the tire by driving when the tire was low on air.

HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW TIRE AT A COST OF $220.78 AND I REPLACED ALL OF THE OLD VALVE STEMS IN THE REMAINING TIRES.

I had to go somewhere else and have my oil rechanged. they said I was lucky that my engine didn't lock up. Today, a year later, I decided to give them another try. I specifically told the lady that came out (aftetr 15 min.) to ask whet I needed, that i wanted the $19 oil change with 5W30 oil. I then went into the store to pick up some things.

In an hour I went to check on my vehicle. It took another 15 minutes before it was done (there was not another vehicle in front of mine either). I paid $25 and looked at my recepit. Believe it or not, they put the wrong oil in my truck again. I brought this to their attention and they just said we need your keys. I had to wait another 30 minutes, only to be charged another $13! The manager came to make the changes on the register and did not say anything to me, like I'm sorry for the inconvenience, or let me give you a discount, or don't worry about the additional fee! I caution anyone who gets their oil changed at wal-mart!

This is to report a complaint with the Wal-Mart automobile services in store # 2119 located in Milpitas, CA. I took my vehicle (97 Honda Accord) to be serviced and was told to leave the car in the oil change queue? and go register inside the store for services. I requested the following services to be done on my car 1. Oil Change, 2. Air Filter Change, 3. New battery (replacement). My service order was taken at 6/7/08 3:57 PM.

After nearly two hours of waiting I went out and checked and saw that my car was parked in the parking lot which is where cars are parked once the service has been completed. So I went in to make the payment and pick up my car. The cashier checked my order she said it was not completed yet and was still being worked on. I told her that if my car is being worked on why is it not in the queue or in the shop. She could not answer my question nor did she try to help me or follow up.

I went outside and met one of the automotive technicians who was helping another customer (he was probably the supervisor or manager of the automotive services area). I brought this to his attention. He told me he will follow up and asked me to go inside the store. He showed up after nearly 15 minutes and told me that I had parked my car in the parking lot and should have left it in the queue. I explained to him that I had indeed left the car in the queue not the parking lot but he kept saying thats not what they are telling me?. Indicating it was my fault.

I went outside to make sure they were working on my car and I would not loose any more time. The technician who drove my car in to the shop then continued blaming me for not parking my car in the queue. Eventually, they figured out that somebody? changed my car battery and thought the work order was done and parked the car outside. No further explanation or apology was offered.

Finally, I was told all service on my car was completed and I made the payment at around 7:00 PM (more than 3 hours later). But the complaint does not stop here. As I drove out with my family and stopped at a store about 10 miles away I noticed that there was smoke coming out of my car hood. I opened the hood and saw two problems 1. A plastic vent? very close to the battery was loose and out of its place. 2. The rod? that is used to hold the hood up was also not placed back in its resting slot and was loose. Once I put the vent and the rod in its place the car was fine. No more smoke.

It was an outright frustrating experience for me and the fact that the car was handed to me in a very dangerous manner is a serious concern. If I have driven further without stopping at the store possibly my car could have been on fire or further jeopardized endangering my familys lives. I find this kind of service totally unacceptable, hazardous and the staff lacking all accountability. I expect WalMart ensures once the work is completed the car be checked for any such safety issues before handing the car back to the customer.

Time lost (nearly 3 hours) when the work could have been completed in 1 hour. We were upset that Wal-mart would not accept their fault and were blaming us for not leaving the car in the queue. Finally, the safety hazaard. I still need to determine if the smoke that came out has any negative impact on my car.

I use Walmart for the quick enviroment and convinance. My last episode with thier tire center was horrible but I struck it up as a bad experiance. This morning at 11:50 am I dropped my vehicle for a oil change and a tire to be mounted on the right rear due to the fact the tire I had on the vehicle had a plug in the sidewall until I could afford another tire because I live alone and on a disability check only. My Physical conditions leave me in a position that I can niether sit nor stand for long periods of time. The customer center was full of people and there were only three hard school like chairs in the area anyway. I walked the store as long as I could; I came back to the center. My vehicle was not ready. There was no place to sit so I went outside and found a chiar to sit in.

After sitting for a period of time and relizing my vehicle had yet to be even brought in for service; I walked the store again. After returning to the Car Center agian,my vehicle had still yet to be taken care of or even brought in. There was an empty chair in the center so I sat for a period of time. After no longer being able to sit, I again walked the store. My third time around and over two hours later I AGAIN went back to the center where it appeared they were completing my vehicle. NO ONE offered any apology for the time consumed nor my inconvinance.By this time I was COMPLETELY worn out and in major pain. I paid my $35.21 ticket and came directly home. I noticed both right tires appeared to be low in air pressure and looked at them closely. There were still plugs in both right side vehicle tires. I was angry however totally exhausted and could not make another trip back to the store.

After entering my home I looked at my ticket and saw that they had replace the driver's side tire; which was a perfectly fine tire! Then made notice that the two tires on the passanger side were unsafe due to plugs. My daughter called the tire center and explained how I was handicapped and I could not be put thru the ringer like this. No Manager was on duty for the tire center and they explained they had three techs. walk out on them today. This is no excuse. They did however offer at my conviniance to change the tires at no cost.

My Husband later took my vehicle to the store to have the tires put on correctly. They did what they were suppose to do and might I add at no cost. However, after being promised that once the vehicle got to the center they would get it in immediately; again sat for a total of 53 minutes for them to switch the tires over. He spoke with the store Manager being that no Tire Center Manager was available on Saturday and no one knew his phone # nor how to get hold of him. The Manager of the store only offered a mere ( I'm sorry.)

After arriving back home I had to take medications for the pain I was in, not to mention being exhausted. This put me in bed for 5 hours and making me miss a wedding that I was to be present at. The fuel back and forth of my cost in which my vehicle had to be taken back for the correct repairs. A total of over 4 hours in travel time and thier repair time to get the vehicle right. Thier customer service center needs to be more handicap equipted and more than a few VERY uncomfortable chairs available to customers.

Well like so many other complaints that I have read I was in need of 4 new tires. My father was helping me purchase them so we were calling around to compare prices. Well that is like comparing apples to oranges, they are round. I have been told recently that Wal-mart's tires that bare the name Goodyear are just that a name not a product of. I spent almost $400 on the tires and all that goes with the purchase along with the road hazard. I only have 14,000 miles on my tires but they told me I had well over 34,000. I had to do the math for them and that stopped their line of defense. The location in Blue Springs has a waiting time of 3 hours to have your tires rotated and balanced. It does not matter the day of the week or the time of day that you arrive. The men that work on the cars, are also the ones who run the register most of the time and they must have very little training to do so.

The first time I took my car in I waited for about 2 hours when they called me and told me they could not rotate my tires because they did not have the key to my locking lug nuts. When I saw my van they had every compartment opened and had searched through them. This made me feel violated and I wasn't sure why I was not called before they searched through all my stuff. They had been given my key along with my van keys when I checked in. My total wait time that night was 3 hours and 20 min. When I picked up the van they said, "sorry but we broke the key to your lug nuts". Wow when did that happen? Were they lucky and got all 4 tires off and rotated and then back on before that happend?

Only after I asked who is paying for the key did they offer to buy me a new one. I of course had to go buy it and then bring in my receipt to prove I bought it. The second time I took the van in at 4:30 and again I was told the same amount of wait time about 3 hours. I was told that they have to do the oil changes first because they offer the drive through service. The more people they pull for oil changes the fewer there are for tires.

Finally at about 7:30 I checked on the van and they told me it would be at least another hour making it a total of 4 hours wait time. I hadn't been home from work and had 2 children at home who hadn't eaten or seen their mother. I told them I would have to call and see if I could get a ride to pick me up. I worked it out and told them I would wait. They told me I would have to go at the bottom of the list. I was furious. I went home and called for the store manager Dave K. He is never available and does not return phone calls. I went back the next night and talked with a manager and told her what happened. She worked me in but I still waited about 1 hour. She said it is no excuse but they can't hire and keep help in automotive.

Well then maybe Wal-mart should quit taking consumers money for a product and warranty they can't service. When I left my car seemed to be bouncing and the steering wheel was shaking and over the next couple of days it became worse. I returned to Wal-mart and once again waited to have the tires looked at. They said there was nothing wrong with the tires and I had an alignment problem. I left and went to another dealership and had my alignment checked. they told me the alignment was fine but I had a bad belt on the drivers front tire. Then within about 2 days my driver side rear tire was flat. I aired it up drove to wal-mart and asked for the manager. He looked at my tire said the belt was bad and they would replace it for $55 dollars and there was nothing wrong with the back tire that had been flat. He could take care of it in a couple hours they were short help.

I left and started to make phone calls. I was told after a week and many calls that they would give me back $175. I had to go down and pick it up and of course go over it all again wait for someone to try and figure out how to give me the money even though they had the message to return the money to me. I had to settle for $170 and when I went to purchase 2 tires at another dealer they said that the other 2 tires will need to be replaced before long. Why is Wal-mart being allowed to continue with this type of false advertising and lack of customer care. I feel that all my money should have been refunded. Get the word out that Wal-mart is not a savings to the consumer.

On May 25 2008 (Sunday), I went to this store for an oil-change. When I went back to get the car back and to pay, they said I had an oil-leak so they could not change the oil. Gave the key back to me. I drove back home, 5 miles away.

Tuesday morning I drove to the doctor's office and JUST BY CHANCE got to look at the front side, and saw that oil was POURING out of my car. I opened the hood and guess what. They had forgotten to put the cap back on. When the engine became hot all the oil was boiling and evaporating, and there was almost none left in the system. The oil-vapor got everywhere in the front of the car - the engine, the radiator - and all the parts. There were small puddles of oil here and there, which could start a fire if I hadn't noticed it, and run the car further.

Thank God I did notice and I had a whole big can (new, which I had bought just a few days before - from Wal-Mart, and I still have the receipt) of engine oil in my boot. I had to pour almost all of it in, to get back to an acceptable level. And I had a rag with which I quickly cleaned the bigger part of the mess, and headed for the doctor.

After I came home I called the store manager who said his name was something like Mckenzie K. (I don't know if I spelled it correctly). I told him what had happened. He said he would take care of the situation (whatever that meant - I didn't bother to ask him because I assumed he would act like a gentleman and do what he should have done). He asked me for a contact number (I gave him my cell number) and said he would get back to me later that afternoon. And he never did.

First and foremost, I was at severe danger. Anyone who drives a car would understand this. And this could have caused immense economic and physical damage. I had to use the whole can of engine-oil. I had to ask someone to clean the whole front-part of the car.

In the spring of 2006, I took my car for a routine oil change at Hampstead Wal-Mart. I had previously had my car serviced there and never had a problem before. The young man who waited on me took my info, keys, and told me my car would be ready in about 45 minutes to an hour. My fiance and I did not have any shopping to do at Wal-Mart that day, so we walked to a neighboring sub shop to pass the time. An hour later, we returned to the Wal-mart auto center, and there were no employees to be found in that department. We waited about 20 minutes at the counter and still no employees showed up to assist us or ask us if we were waiting to pick up the car.

Finally, we decided to track down an employee from another department to see if they could call an employee from the auto center over to assist us. While passing the electronics section, we spotted the employee who had helped us before. However, he was standing in a group of fellow auto employees, playing the video game Guitar Hero in the aisle that houses the video games. We stood next to them for a few minutes to see if he would notice us and ask if we were ready to pick up my car, but he did not look over.

Finally, my fiance walked closer to the group and said, "Excuse me, sir, we've been waiting for over an hour for my fiance's car; can we pick it up now?" The employee looked over at us with an incredulous expression and said "Hey MAN. I've been trying to page you guys for about an hour. We can't work on your car, there's a really bad, dangerous oil leak and we're not allowed to touch it. You shouldn't drive your car like that. And you should really get your oil changed more often, it's a little over the due date."

I was aware that the oil had needed to be changed, but at the time I was a college student (ie. broke and pressed for time). However, I was taken aback by this employee's bad attitude and the fact that he was so unwilling to help. I was also TERRIFIED to drive my car, thinking that something horrible might happen in the 50 mile commute taking my fiance back to his dorm and then back to my house! I was crying and shaking and even phoned home to see what I should do.

Needless to say, I made it home alright. The next day, I took my car to Sears to see if they could fix the problem and/or change my oil. When I picked up my car, they acted like everything was normal and told me what I owed them. I asked, "But what about the dangerous oil leak? I'm surprised you guys were able to work on my car!" They looked at me and said "What oil leak? You don't have an oil leak. Why would you think that? We were able to change your oil just fine. Granted, you were a little overdue for an oil change and should probably come in more often, but there was nothing horribly wrong with your car."

I have not dealt with Wal-Mart's auto center since.

I was in accident and paralyzed but am mobile today thanks to good surgeons, but my neck is fused. This will tie in with the rest of my story. I was foolish enough to think that if there were any issues with my tires they would tell me when I come for oil change and rotation and balance every 3000 miles. Now, since I cant bend to look under the truck at my tires, I was told by someone that one of my front tires was getting smooth and these are still pretty new. Maybe back about 3 previous oil changes I even asked a service manager to take a tire depth gauge and check my tires. He reported to me that they were wearing evenly.

So, I asked the service manager, Do you offer alignment here and he said No. I replied, OK so it that why I have a bald tire now and nobody ever told me it was happening. All he said was I am sorry sir. I told him, Well you have the usual 2 hours plus to figure out what you can do about it. I feel the store owes me tires. I am depending on them to report to me about my tires since they rotate and balance them so often. Not to mention that everytime I go in to have service I spend at least 2 hours waiting and I realize thier plans. They do it intentionally so you will buy things in the store while you wait. I was even told that by a competitor that I went to and spoke with for my next tire purchase and oil service.

To end this, the service manager made sure he wasnt around when my vehicle was finished and ready. Now I am stuck with it. Unable to depend on the tires to take my family on the road. Sounds like good terms to get a lawyer maybe. Unsafe for family. 400 dollars for new tires. Vehicle driven once per week so tires are practically brand new.

The next oil change which was in 2/07/08, again, I went back to Wal-mart (stupid me), and this time, they ended up breaking the oil filter housing unit as well as not changing out the O ring.

I took the my 2006 Sonata back to the manager on 2 occasion, the first time after pleading and insisting that the oil change was not done correctly because I had started noticing puddles of oil on the ground; the manager changed the oil and tighten the oil filter after making the comment that they do not change those type of oil filter that I had to have brought it in when it clearly stated on receipt that Oil filter was done. Long story short, I'm out of $540 for lost of usage of vehicle, transportation to pick up vehicle that was towed to nearby dealership since was still under warranty,

The dealership's mechanic stated that the problem was that O ring was not changed and that the housing unit had been broken off. The manager wanted to reimburse me just for the oil change, but I said NO DEAL, he immediately put in a claim with their insurance, but he said that it will not be approved because I should have brought my vehicle to him prior to having someone work on it. Well, I did as a matter of fact 2 times and the second time he took pictures, diagnosed it to be the Oil sensing Unit was broken and pointed me to the Dealership at this point what was I to do.

My vehicle started making rattling sound that luckly was under warranty, due to the oil being so low. I ended up losing 8 hours of loss time from work (160.00), $52,72 for oil filter and oil change, 38.00 for bus ticket to pick up vehicle that was towed some 120 miles to nearest dealership, bumping a ride for 3 weeks that cost me $250. and gas to return which was (52.00)

A few years back (at approx 102,000 miles) I purchased 4 tires from Wal-Mart with the Tire Protection Plan (an additional 7.50 per tire). The plan was supposed to give me a 60,000 mile warranty on the tires.

Then today one of the tires goes flat. I inspected the tire and noticed it went flat due to normal wear. All of the 3 other tires are worn also. My car has approx 140,000 miles now. So, I've only had these tires for about 38,000 miles, when the warranty says they are covered for 60,000 miles.

I take the tires to Wal-Mart Tire center (the same one I purchased them from) and the technician tells me the wear is from mis-allignment, so they cannot give me anything for the warranty (I have my warranty receipt). The trouble I have with this is that I had my car alligned at 111,000 miles (about 9,000 miles after I bought the tires from them), and it is obvious that the tires are worn significantly on both sides. The tire that went flat did go flat on the inside, but both sides of all the tires were significantly worn (and not going to make it to 60,000 miles). This is just a convienent excuse to use, so they do not have to honor their warranty. Beware! I will not go to Wal-Mart Auto centers anymore.

I ended up paying $360.00 for a new set of tires, and wasted money on purchasing a protection plan that they wont honor.

I noticed a bump on the side of my tire on my 2004 Mazda3 on 4/4/08 when getting gas and took my car to Walmart where we had bought the tires 2 years earlier. I was told by the technician that the belt in the tire had broken and it needed to be replaced. He then felt both front tires and said they were worn irregularly, he thought I had broken my struts and they had rubbed against the tires. He said they were so bad both needed to be replaced. The tires had to be ordered and would cost about $200 each.

I was told that I would have to go elsewhere to have the struts repaired. I didn't have my credit card on me so they did the paperwork for the tires and I said I would come back later to pay for them so they could be ordered.

I then took my car to an independent mechanic who laughed when I told him what Walmart had said about the struts. He looked at my tires and said that yes, the one with the bulge does have a broken belt and needs to be replaced. But the struts were fine and all the front tires needed were to be rotated.

So on to tiebreaking opinion #3....

I go to another large store with an automotive dept. with a fairly good rep. They take the time to put my car up on lifts, look at the tires and the suspension and confirm what mechanic #2 had said - one tire needed. Bad news was they found that a wheel bearing also needs replaced - I had had a lot of vibration and loud noise for about a week and that explained it.

They were able to order a tire for $133 - Walmart would have ended up costing me over $400 for 2 tires, one of which I didn't need. (Bad news is that the wheel bearing has to be ordered thru the dealer for $177...... but this seems to be a legit repair). Mechanic #3 didn't seem surprised when I told him my Walmart story, apparently he had heard it before. Someone needs to put a stop to their ripoff routines.....

There was NO oil in my NEW car and it's a lease. If she had not noticed it I'm sure it would have ruined the vehicle, if it hasn't already! I will never go to walmart for a oil change again. I had called them up about it and they said if I had noticed it earlier they would have fixed it but it's been so long (about 2 months & only 1000 miles later) that they can't be sure it was because of their employees.

Wal-Mart changed my oil and either put in two much oil or didn't drain it all out, I don't know since I was not in the shop. I took the car back because it was leaking oil. I thought at this time that they just left something loose. As it turned out, it had way too much oil in it. So they drained it out and put the correct amount of oil in the engine. After that they cleaned the engine and watched for leaks. Two techs told me that it was leaking oil at all the seals and head. The manager came and told me he would take care of it. He had me fill out a claims form and send in an estimate, to which I did. The estimate was for over $2000.00 This estimate came from TD Performace which is right across the street from Wal Mart. They faxed the estimate to Sherry Butler.

The next thing I heard was a call from Jack Martin telling me that they were not going to pay a dime to repair the car. That putting too much oil in wouldn't cause this problem. He says that they are not responsible, that they had a video saying it was done correctly. I can't believe this because it would be a camera that took pictures on top of the car and under the car. I know in the man's heart that he knows this is not true. All I was asking WalMart to do is the right thing.

On 3/3/08 and 3/7/08 I went to the walmart tire lube to have a simple slow leak repaired under the tire warranty that was purchased with the tires at walmart . The service tech said that they had a no service flag on their computer. I requested, politely, to speak with a manager to get a explanation as to why they refused to service my leaky tire. Well, I waited 45 minutes and the assistant manager stated that there was no further documentation as to why they were servicing my tire. I requested that the asst manager provide me with any documentation as to their refusal to service and he refused to do so. So I politely stated that I would return later in the week if I had time.

Then on the 7th, when I once again returned to try to get the tire serviced, I went directly to the customer service to ask for the store manager and spoke with a co manager RON and waited another 45 minutes and the co manager said he also could not find anything as to the exact reason for the do not service flag. I requested that he provide me with anything in writing to document their refusal of warranty service. He stated that he would contact me on my cell with any further information on my warranty, and said that if they would not service the tire, they may refund the amount paid for that. I flatly told him that I am not fishing for a refund and only wish to had a very simple tire service provided.

This whole thing is a bit weird and I am a bit creeped out that I can get no straight answers as to what the exact problem is. I am openly very Jewish and wear a kippa and peots and heard the tire dept service techs making off color comments on my kippa and peots. I always try to give all the benefit of the doubt as to anti-semetic conduct, but this situation is creeping me out a bit. I am a board member on the temple of my local synogog and own and operate 3 companies and do property management for over 100 rental units, so I provide quality customer service 24-7 to my clients. I am shocked at the way walmart is treating me.

One of the cars had a hard gear shift due to non driving for 6 weeks and hence I selected the Value package service plan that tops all fluids, vacuums the interior and cleans the windscreen, etc for about $26 each. After the service, next day I open the hood and find the fluids not topped. No washer fluid, Also no Vacuum done or window cleaned. Also gear shift is still hard. I looked at the bill for the charges and find some charges for Battery terminal replacement. I took the car back to Walmart and the technician fills the Transmission fluid and says the windshield washer pan may have a hole and that's why no fluid was there! Anyway, I got the car battery terminal charges reversed and took the car back half satisfied.

Next day I check the other car and find oil is black. So I take it back to Walmart and the manager there says it does not look okay and that the black oil could mean no oil change was done. He gets it done again for free. Also this car also no vacuum inside, no fluids topped even after getting a promise the second time I went and also no windshield wash done. I WILL NOW NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO WALMART FOR SERVICE AGAIN. I DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES THIS BUNGLING/CHEATING HAS BEEN HAPPENING AS I USED TO TAKE THE CARS ONLY TO WALMART. Took my 1996 Honda Odyssey in for 2 new tires, so while I had it there decided to have an oil change done. That's where I have always gotten them. I knew that my handicapped child had to go 2 days later for a surgery in Dayton Ohio, about a 2 hr. drive. Left the store on the 17th after oil change. They were super busy that day and it was a long wait. Drove van straight home, about a 1/2 hr. drive, then parked it. Seemed to be fine as usual, never had no trouble with my van and had it for along time. Never took van no where else until 2 days later for my daughter's surgery.

When I came home that day from the hospital, I parked it and the next day there was oil all over the drive where the van was and when started the oil light came on. I was devastated as my daughter was sick and needed to see doctor again. I didn't know what was up with my van and the weather was really bad, deep snow, etc. So the next day I had to borrow another vehicle to take her back to the doc.

The following day I took my van a 1/2 block up to my mechanic to see what was wrong. Sure enough it was Wal-Mart negligence. They had held on to a part behind the oil filter while screwing or unscrewing it with a pair of plyers and messed up the part that they should not have even been touching. The part is called a oil coolant which was 300.00 and some dollars. Then on top of that I had to pay for labor. All together my bill was 700.00 and some dollars for a van that never had anything wrong with it before my oil change at Wal-Mart. I called the Wal-Mart manager and took pictures of all the oil in my drive way and all my receipts in. Now they say anything over $300.00 and I have to fill out a statement and I did. I told them I needed this money back, that I had to miss work and my daughter is still not well and I use that money to help with her care. My van had just been fixed and I hope not to have any other problems due to there negligence. I really hope they call tomorrow and do things right. I really need my van for my daughter's wheelchair.

I have been under a lot of stress do to my daughter's health and the timing of my van breaking down and the amount of money I have spent repairing my vehicle. Also the stress of not knowing if they will make things right.

Then I started to notice oil in my driveway. I took the car up there to see if something was left loose. They told me nothing was loose, but oil was coming from my oil pan, front and rear seals. I told them that was strange--that it never leaked before they did the oil change. So we went up on top of the lift and raised the hood, and there was oil everywhere. The valve cover was leaking oil, the head gasket was blown; and to top that off, it was all so leaking antifreeze out the back of the head. After the tech checked the oil he replied that it had way too much oil in it. He tried to let some out, but after that attempt he just decided to drain it out. He refilled it and put some stop leak in it. After this he cleaned the engine where it was leaking.

I asked to see the store manager and an assistant manager (Dave) came out. I stated my case to him and he proceeded to tell me and I quote, "tire is not made to withstand puncture." I'm sure goodyear would like to hear what walmart is saying about their tires to customers. Dave then stated alll warranties were void when tire was purchased. Dave then threatened to have me thrown out of the store. Then 30 minutes later another manager came out, Terri Schloendorn, and said they didn't have to replace tire and threatened me with calling the police to have me removed fom store because I said I wouldn't leave without my tire being fixed. I asked for their names and Terri and dave started laughing at me! Police came and made me leave the store. I called the auto service department and one of the service advisors told me they had run out of regular fluid so they had used a concentrate off the shelves and it was likely that the person who mixed it added too much water. She told me to bring it in to thaw the system out. I brought it in and they thawed it out (It was 10 degress outside). Unfortunately, the service advisor who was helping me, left for the day while they were still working on the vehicle. A few minutes later I noticed that the vehilce was no longer inside the shop. I approached the other service advisor on-duty, Mark, who informed me that they had thawed the system, but they did not remove the weak solution and that I should do this as soon as I get home. He somehow thought it was my responsibility. He also seemed to think that water does not refreeze once it has been thawed. I demanded to speak to a store manager, who quickly grabbed a siphon pump and gave it to the service tech. The service tech pumped the tank and had it refilled in less than 10 minutes. While waiting, I overheard Mark, the services clerk, loudly telling everyone in his sight that this was somehow my fault because they had nobody else complaining. He thinks everyone brings their cars in for an oil change with the washer fluid almost on empty and that their service people all mix washer fluid exactly the same. I had been pretty happy with their service, but I am now very skepticle and probably will not return because of the attitude of Mark.

Fortunatly, it does not appear that there have been any damages. This could have caused severel hundred dollars worth of damages had the weather been much colder. Or worse, it could have caused an accident had I hit the butten expecting my windshield to wash, but ended up with winter smear.

The associates in the oil change dept. were playing jokes on one another and disregarding me. The associates in the electronic dept. were not knowledgable about the HDTVs and could not answer the simplest questions! The asst. mgr. was nice, but very uninformed. The whole experience was a travesty.

During an oil change, Walmart replaced oil plug with wrong (another?) plug--stripping out the oil pan and plug. It resulted in an oil leak.

I went in to Walmart to get four snow tires mounted. When I returned home I noticed that the bead on one of my BRAND NEW tires was stripped, and the center of the hub was cracked. The tire had less than three months on it and had never been off the wheel before. It was one of a set and cost $78. The hub can't be repaired and will cost $60 to replace. When I called I was told I needed to talk to the manager; but he was not there, and he would not return calls so I would have to try again. I was told the same thing the next day. The next day I asked to speak to the store manager and was told he was not available. I was told NO manager was on duty that day. They always have a manager on duty. I'm getting the royal run around and I'm afraid that they will keep putting me off until so much time has passed that they will say they are not responsible. Who can I contact?

The new tire and hub will cost me $138 plus tax to replace.

I blew my passenger side tire out on vacation 2 miles from Titusville on I-95. I put a donut on which was flat, a state patrolmen pulle dup and aired my tire then suggested I go to the Walmart just up the road to get a new tire. I pull into Walmart and walk up with my tire in hand and ask how long it will be they quote me about 30 mins. They spend an hour trying to match a tire to my 98 Audi A4, then I have to wait behind two cars that are having their tires changed that have been there for three hours already.

I came in at 10am. i look to see how the progress is coming and my tire is a the bottom of a pile of ten tires which erks me seeing as though my rims cost me $200 a piece. Then I notice out of the ten employees working that day one is doing oil changes on two cars at a time, one is working the other 6 bays including the tire changeing station, one is talking on the phone, 5 are running around the warehouse, the managers walk out to the bay area distract the two guys working and then come back inside to the AC.

It was 110 degrees outside and the guy doing tires kept passing out from heat exhaustion, he had to lay down for an hour to recouperate before returning to work on our cars, the whole time the entire staff rotates to lunch, by rotate I don't mean the work I mean they leave and go to lunch leaving the same person changing oil and the other poor guy changing tires, air filters, rotating tires, changing brakes. I arrived there at 10 am and left at 7pm when i asked if i could get an aliment the told me they could not to do it and I should go to the tire place down the street.

i should have choke dthe life out of him when he said that because i had spent the entire day sitting at Walmart when the tire place down the street had not had any business all day. And all they had to do was put a tire on my rim I did the hard work for them.

I lost a whole day out of my trip. I watched a guy almost kill himself trying to help us when the rest of his people sat in the A/C. They sent me to another tire place after it closed to finish the work.

I ordered an oil change, specifically asked if they do diesel cars, and the price. Originally they gave me half an hour waiting, but many hours of waiting, as it turned out, they have put the wrong oil to my car. Again, waiting...about three hours later when they have finished finally, I asked if everything is OK and everything is put back the way it was supposed to go. The meachanics ensured me, and gave me a 15 dollar discount (again, at leat 20 min waiting, till the able lady at the front desk finally cleared the bill).

We have been doing business in the Walmart auto dept. in Madison for many years. Service has changed there. Recently my wife took our car for the full service oil change, and right after she noticed a tire that looked low. It was checked and only had 20 pounds of air. Also the fluids were not checked. No new window washer was added--and it was out.

We are seriously thinking of having our oil changes done somewhere else from now on. Walmart seems so untrustworthy.

I called Walmart today to see if the tire dept. had 4 tires that I received a quote on 10/31/07. Operator tried to connect with dept. No answer...paged multiple times...no answer...tried manager...no answer. It takes me 15-20 minutes to drive to the store and was trying to save time and gas if they didn't have the tires in stock. They could order them, and an appt could be set up. Have seen in recent times a lack of staff throughout store.

I had my oil changed on my Motor Home-Diesel at Walmart. While traveling on an RV trip, the oil filter backed off the engine block, causing us to lose most of the engine oil which caused extreme over heating. After road service, we found the next available Walmart where we had our engine serviced again, new oil and filter. The service attendant showed and gave us the reason for the problem. The old oil filter gasket was not removed from the block before the new oil filter was installed. We were given the old gasket and old oil filter and instructed to return to the Walmart in Las Vegas and file a claim, which we did.

The repair is done, the bill is $8,520.00 and CMI Insurance which represents Walmart, refuses to pay. Nevada Valve Train, on Betty Lane in Las Vegas is where it was repaired (702-643-8065).

Motor Home repair needs to be paid for in full before it can be released. I am a disabled Viet Nam Veteran on a limited income and cannot afford to pay the repair bill, and now it is accumulating storage fees.

On 10/23/2007 I took my wife's 2006 Scion xa to Walmart for an oil change. Today (10/27/2007) my wife was driving and she heard a loud noise. She said it sounded like something hit her car. She said a few seconds later the check oil light and the engine maintenance light come on. My wife was approximately 5 blocks away from our house, the car was still running and she was nervous and continued to drive to our drive way. She come inside and told me what had happened. I went outside and opened the hood I then checked the oil. The dipstick showed no reading,

At this time I observed oil covering the front part of the engine compartment. My wife then called Walmart and told them what had just happened. Walmart sent two employees out right after the phone call. While we were waiting for them to show up my wife decided to walk up the street were she had heard the big noise. She returned about ten minutes later with an oil filter. The oil filter had fallen off!

The oil filter was a Fram PH7317 Pro. I looked it up on the internet and found out that this is the wrong oil filter for our car. The filter that was supposed to have been installed is a Fram PH4967. A few minutes later the two employees from Walmart showed up. I showed them the filter and let them know what I had found out on-line about the oil filter. They didnt say anything. The guy that appeared to be in charge just gave me a quick nod.

The whole time that they were at my house they did not say a word about what had happened. They asked if I had anything to put the oil in, they said that while they are here they will just change the oil again. I got an empty oil change container out of my truck to let them use. I was observing them doing this. The Walmart employee removed the oil drain plug. I didnt see any oil come out. I asked the Walmart employee if there was any oil. He stated very little. I checked my oil container and it has about a half a cup of oil in it.

He then put the oil drain plug back in and put the correct oil filter on. When they were replacing my oil the first thing they put in was a container of a Slick 50 product and then the oil. After that we took it for a drive, the engine sounds louder now but didnt appear to have any loss of power. (we just drove around the block once) I saved the oil filter that had fallen off.

I am concerned that this incident has caused damage to our car and I dont know if the Slick 50 product they put in my car is masking a bigger problem. I also have the receipt of the oil change and it states that I was charged for a PH4967 oil filter. They installed a PH7317. This car is rated as being the most reliable sub-compact car (2006).

On 10/6/07 I took my daughters car in for oil change, lube job and tires rotated and balanced. I was told by one of your expert technicians that he could'nt rotate the tires. I asked him why not, he snapped back because there worn out. Now the front tires were getting close to needing replacing, but they still had some useable thread left, thus the hole idea of rotating the front tire to the back. Then I asked about the back tires, he said they were shot too, the thread was all wavy.

I asked about the warranty cause the tires which I bought from the same store only had 30,000 miles on them and they were rated at 60,000 miles. He says there's no warranty if there's mechanical wear. BS. He claims that the front end is out of alignment. How does he know this, did he check the alignment, no. He says that the uneven wear on the back tires was from bad shocks.

Now I've been around a long time and I've never heard that excuse for that type of wear pattern. I've seen it on new vehicals and the cause has always been the same TIRE FAILURE.

I went to Wal-Mart to have an oil change and air filter change. They had a new technician working on my vehicle. The service was performed and I left. After driving for about less than an hour I heard a shaking in the engine compartment. After examining it I noticed that the clamp that holds the air filter compartment was loose and the plastic piece that holds the screw was broken.

I went to the store the following week and asked to speak with a manager. The manager, I am not sure of his training or his ability to examine and make a ruling on my vehicle, stated that Wal-Mart was not at fault and that I must have broken it myself.

After arguing with him he filed a complaint with the store insurance company and they called me to ask what happened. They never looked at my car and made a ruling in the favor of the store.

According to them, the store manager told them that they were not responsible for it for the following reasons:
    1. the engine heat caused it to break
    2. they think that the chain of custody of the car was faulty so someone else could have done it and they feel I am trying to blame them
    3. the check engine light would have come on if they broke it, mind you that check engine light is not on, has never come on and it is still broken
    4. vibrations caused it to break

I did not ask for anything other than that they replace the screw and clamp the air filter house back in place. They flat out refused and claimed that I am the one at fault. I also believe that they fired the technician that worked on my car.

When I went back to the store the first technician I saw remembered me and apologized for the incident. After the manager showed up they all changed and started to blame me.

All I want if for my housing unit to be fixed. That is it. Nothing more.

My room mate spotted it off as soon as he walked outside.
