You are supposed to be the low price leader. You are so full of it!It is unbelievable! I just bought two tires from your Mena store. Who charges for airing up a tire? Who charges for putting in a stem? I will find a lower price and you will make good by refunding my money or I will see you in court like everyone else that you tried to screw.

I went to Wal-Mart to get an oil change and I brought my own oil and oil filter and a week later i was getting a radiator flush in a shop and noticed that the oil was still black and the oil filter was old and never had been changed. So when I went to talk to the manager Mike he tried telling me that it was changed and clean and refused to give me a business card or a last name. Then when the oil change was done again it was clear like it should have been and I was waiting for a half an hour because Mike told me to wait till the paper work was done. I had to go and ask if I could leave and the woman at the counter finally said I could when I could have left awhile ago. Before Mike left he stood right in front of me (inches away from my face) trying to intimidate me as he told me about the oil and they told me that I had a massive coolant leak and oil leak. When I got it looked at everything was fine. I feel like I was mistreated and frowned upon because of something they did. I don’t appreciate this at all and I am considering never going to Wal-Mart for anything again.

I had purchased 4 new replacement tires from Wal-Mart in Aug. 2008 and had a 50,000 mile warranty and road hazard coverage on the tires purchased. On a trip in Colorado in May 2010 and out in the east plains, the left front tire started to make a thumping noise. I had stopped and inspected the tire and could not detect a problem. 13 miles to the nearest service station, the attendant told me that the tire had a "flat spot" and he did not have a correct tire to replace with. He said if he rotated the tire to the rear, it should be fine to get to New Mexico. After he rotated the tire, the truck drove fine for the remainder of the trip.

Upon returning home, I had to get a tire for my other car and took it to Wal-Mart to get a replacement tire. I had the service technician inspect the truck tires. And I advised BOB to what had happened. He gauged all the tires and he stated that the tire treads were all out of specification. He told me to return the next day to speak with the service manager Art.

I returned at 7'oclock the next morning and talked to Art. He inspected the tires visually and checked the mileage and VIN number and record of purchase, never removing the tire. He stated that I would have to wait 45 minutes to speak with his boss. After an hour of waiting, both Art and Bill came out. They said that I did not have documentation of rotation and balancing every 3,000 miles, in which I have two receipts of rotation. It is stated that the warranty of rotation "recommends rotating tires every 7,500 miles and does not state that Wal-Mart needs documentation of such. In their own words, they said "There is nothing we can do.” After all is said and done, I am going to purchase new tires at a local competitor of Wal-Mart. And I am going to keep the old tires to display to all I know and discourage anyone from taking their vehicles to Wal-Mart Tire And Lube. It also states in the warranty that any wear of tire before the warranty mileage, Wal-Mart will prorate the tire for a new replacement. This means they can say that the consumer is at fault and will not stand behind anything they sell to US.

I bought 4 new tires from our local Wal-Mart with warranties for them. 1 month ago I had a nail in my tire and it was leaking air, so I went to the same Wal-Mart and they fixed the tire and told me that I needed 2 new front tires. I went back today due to the fact that I have a bolt lodged in one of my front tires. Not only would they not fix the tire, they also said that I would have to buy 4 new tires! Their reason was that they had recently "changed the rules" on what they can and cannot put on your car. And the tire that I wanted fixed is below the level that can be repaired. They now have to adhere to the driver door sticker for the size and type of tire. That is all well and good, except for the fact that they are the ones that took the factory tires off and replaced them when I purchased new tires. And now they will not replace any tires unless I pay for 4 new tires.

I went in to get my oil changed in my 2000 GMC Jimmy and was told my drain plug was stripped so they would not change my oil. I drove my truck home and I started to hear a ticking in my engine a few weeks later. I thought it was an oil issue so I climbed under my truck and my drain plug was fine. I changed my own oil, but the ticking did not stop. I found out that because I did not change my oil earlier, I had a lifter that was bad now. I have to change it out. If the oil was changed when I went to Walmart, I would not have this problem now. I have owned this truck for almost 5 years now with no problems. I am disabled and live on disability. Now it is going to cost me more than I can afford to fix this problem. Thank you Walmart oil and lube!

Walmart put a wrong oil filter on my engine. The invoice shows wrong oil filter number, proving they did this. The filter fell off on the freeway at about 70 mph in the fast lane of the express lanes. I’ve avoided potential fatal injuries/damage in a car accident; almost crossed collector lanes (impossible due to volume of traffic). I have avoided getting run over. Have it towed to Walmart who said the filter fell off, and that it was the wrong one according to the invoice. Several days later, their insurance company said they would pay for a junk yard engine to be installed for my 20,000 mile 2007 Camry (3 years old, with 2 more years on warranty). Its warranty is now void; engine is toast.

Toyota estimates: $25,000 for a new engine, or 11,000 for my engine rebuilt (more if they find surprises when they pull it apart), or 6,000 for a non-Toyota engine from an after market company, or 3,000 for a junk yard engine install. The junk yard engine might be pretty on the outside, but severely aged due to lack of use for a couple of years on the inside. It may work, then in a couple of months (no warranty), the seals are gone, and I have to pay for my own engine rebuild out of my pocket for something that is Walmart's fault. Many emails, phone calls, faxes later, I got no return call from store manager, and can never get through to insurance company, I always have to leave a message. I called Walmart Canada and you can never speak to the claims person, always voice mail, and they don't call back after two days, two calls, two messages. There's no apology from them, no admission of guilt, and a 'so sue us' attitude from all of them IMHO. Small claims would take 3 months to two years, and if I win, it costs me $2,000 for legal fees, and up to two years of anxiety, and what do I drive in the meantime. I don't have $25,000 to replace the engine, I don’t have $25,000 for a new car, and I can't afford to take on monthly car payments. They know they got you so they take advantage, IMHO. What horrible, horrible customer 'service' from the largest and possibly the richest retailer on earth.

I have been a regular customer of Sam's club and then Walmart. I have bought new tires from Walmart for the last 5 years. The last time was for my daughter's car. I had all 4 replaced. The next day, the tire was flat. It had leaked around the bead where the rim meets the rubber. So I brought it in and they said nothing was wrong with it. 3 months later, same problem. I could tell when I ran water around the rim tire until I found it bubbling. So with 10 dollar road hazard, I took it back. The technician told them it has been driven low or flat. The arrogant person saying this did not witness me taking the tire of the car and putting on the spare. It went flat in the driveway. They want me to buy a new tire because they can't let me drive it away because they think it is unsafe. They want to "trash" a new tire with perfect tread. How wasteful is Walmart. They don't care about the environment to want to trash a perfect tire. I am never taking my tires to Walmart ever again.

I went to have a flat fixed on my 2002 Cadillac Escalade on May 13, 2010, at about 8:30AM. When I went in, all the auto repairmen were just standing around, doing nothing. I feel I was being ignored. Finally, the lady at the counter asked if she could help me. I was told to go back out into the area, where you check in to have service done. I was ignored even more. It wouldn't have been so bad, but there were only 2 cars in the service area to be fixed (mine and another truck). It took 2 and a half hours to fix the flat. I missed 1 day of work, because the auto department is so slow, and they don't care about their customers. I will never go back to Wal-Mart for auto repairs again. I could have gone to any other place, and got it done in 30 minutes. The only reason I went to Wal-Mart is because the tire was losing air.

My vehicle, which is a 1988 Chevrolet Blazer was serviced at Walmart on March 4, 2010 at 1:34 pm and completed at 2:34 pm. They sent me on my way with an okay! My car is good to go. However, on March 22, 2010, two weeks and three days later, my car would not start. I called Walmart to ask what my next move would be, but all they can tell me is that they looked at the tapes and spoke with their technicians and it isn’t their fault. They say they replaced the oil and put in 4 quarts. So I took my car to Elite Automotive on 1302 208th St E Spanaway WA 98387. I had them check what the problem is and had them state what they find out. Their technicians found that the oil dipstick will not come out. They pulled the oil pan drain plug and drained out 1/2 quarts of oil. The end result is my engine needs to be replaced. Walmart’s insurance called me on May 4th, 2010. They pretty much said the same thing that they look over the tape, but now they’re telling me that they smelled the dipstick and it smelled like oil and gas. However, that shouldn’t even be a problem because on the service description it states: “Oil - Replaced.” My car needs a whole new engine.

I have been having health problems for quite some time. I just found the receipt for the tires realizing that I never received them. I went the store where I purchased the tires from. I spoke to a rep and stated that I never received my tires and that I would like to have my money back. The sales rep was trying to tell me that I must have received them and I stated that no, I haven't received them. I told the rep that if I had received the tires, I would have had a receipt stating that the tire were received.

The rep then preceded to look up the info on the tires and said nothing was found and that I needed to come back to speak to someone else. I did not receive any help whatsoever. The sales rep asked that I stay for a while and he would look at it, but the rep did not take any of my information to look anything up. He then came back and said he couldn't find anything and that I should come back the following day to speak to the manager. I know for a fact the rep didn't look up any information.

In November 2009, I bought tires from this particular Wal-Mart, and now in April 2010, my tires have worn down so much that the metal belt has separated and one tire has already gone flat. I wasn't given any information about the tires, and after calling over and over to see if there was some kind of warranty on 50,000-mile tires, I kept being put on hold for long periods of time. I would like two new tires, because 50,000-mile tires should not have went out that fast and I haven't even driven 1,000 miles yet.

April 16, 2010, my battery light came on then the check engine light came on and all of a sudden the car start to slow down. I pulled off the interstate and checked the manual. The manual suggested to take the car to dealer. I have a 2003 Toyota Camry that I have never had trouble with. The diagnose from the dealer was "engine oil cap off" causing oil to drain from car and engine ran hot.

I was told I need a motor. I received an oil change from Wal-mart TLE on April 10, 2010. Toyota asked me to call Wal-mart and for Wal-mart to give them a call. The Toyota dealer said Wal-Mart said they have cameras that verify all caps are installed back on vehicles and 2 employees verify that. I know my car was a very good and reliable car until this happened.

Well, two or three weeks ago, I was told by bill that they were okay and would last 4 years. So, I went back thinking, he wasn't going to be there. Man was I wrong. He said just one needed them when I was told at another that both needed it. Anyhow, some smart mouth rude woman came out and asked what am I supposed to do.

I told her we came here sometime ago and that guy told us the tires were okay when they are not, so are here to get them replaced as under their warranty. She said the tires were worn out, so there wouldn't be any credit. Wouldn't happen if that guy wouldn't have told us that they were. So anyhow, she handed us the papers and we left to go somewhere else to get new tires for a cost of $216.17 more than what I should have had to pay if that guy in Conway, AR would have done his job especially since he is only a greeter he shouldn't tell people how their tires are, when he doesn't know. Could have caused some major damage. Had to spent $216.17 at another tire place than at Walmart since it had tire warranty on all 4 tires and still valid.

I went in to see if the tires are in stock, and Tom was on vacation, and the workers there that day tell me the manager told me wrong. They called the assistant store manager back, and he told me Wal-Mart doesn't honor that anymore. What did I pay for then? I am really **. I am still waiting, 8 weeks later, trying to get something done, and a Wal-Mart 335 miles in Magnolia Arkansas tells me they will honor the road hazard warranty. This is not good business. They tried to send me to second Wal-mart who did oil change when their store is the one who caused the problem. Had to call corporate office then they filed claim. CMI called and wanted background check on vehicle to find reason why something else could cause problem. I have most of oil change history from Wal-mart nowhere on any of them says anything about oil leak.

I have same paper same month as CMI got copy from Wal-mart. The copy CMI have has that I had oil leak. When asked for a copy, Wal-mart said no and so did CMI. Something needs to be done. The same thing happened two weeks ago and they gave the lady the run and didn't fix their car. If there is anything someone can do or just some advice on what to do, will be very helpful. I asked the attendant for an oil change and was told they took their last car at 4:00. I informed him that it was not yet 4 and he said, "Sorry." I drove approx. 30 miles for stores service. The original sign said they close at 6. Even though the sign said 4:30, they should keep the service available until 4:30. No one apologized. They just wanted to get rid of me and so they did.

I went to a Quick Lube down the street and they were glad to have me as a new customer. Everyone was friendly and they provided me with timely service. I work in the customer service field. I cannot understand the way I was treated. No one took any time to come across the garage to explain anything to me. The didn't even look up. They just yelled, "We took our last car at 4" and it wasn't yet 4. I can't say that I will never use Tire Lube Express again but if I can avoid it, I will. I went to Wal-Mart on 2/12/2010 on lunch to get an oil change. After waiting one hour and about 15 minutes it was finally ready. Drove back to work. It was time to go home that evening and I notice a slight knocking noise. Weather was bad (snow) so I continue to drive home and said I will have my husband to check out the noise.

Saturday my husband gets in to go to the store and come back and ask me why my car is making this loud knocking noise. I told him it was making a slight knocking but not loud and he says my oil was low. I told him it could not be because I just got the oil changed yesterday, which was Friday, 2/12. So Sunday we were going out to eat for Valentines and it was making this loud noise which I thought something was going to come through the hood of my car.

Monday, I take it back to them after calling and talking to Mr. H. (manager in Automotives) and told him I was going to bring it over at lunch time. I went over there and saw another manager because Mr. H. had went to lunch. This manager had them to do a recheck and the young guy came in to get him and they both went out and check the car. Next thing I knew the manager, not Mr. H., asked me if I had my receipt and I said yes and gave to him. He goes back into the office after asking me some questions. Next thing I know Mr. H. comes up and goes out to look at the car.

Meanwhile, the same guy that worked on my car that Friday is working on it again. He comes in, gets a blue box and goes back out and go down like they do to get under your vehicle. As I was looking Mr. H. comes back in and tells me that they did what they were supposed to do and it is nothing they did. I told him my car was not making that noise before I came in to get my oil change and asked him what the noise is. Well he states he did not know and was not at liberty to say. After arguing with him I called my husband on my phone and he wanted to speak with Mr. H. and they argued and hung up. Mr. H. said I need to take it somewhere else and have them to look at it and see what is wrong with my car.

Meanwhile, I drive it back home after getting off work (still loud knocking sound). My husband gets in it the next day to go to games he has to referee and the motor blew. He calls me to tell me what happened while calling someone else to pickup him up to go to his games. I called AAA and have to wait on the highway hour and a half in the dark and cold till they finally arrive. The driver looks under the car and tells me your motor is gone. When we get it back home and I open the garage to have them to bag the Jeep in, you see the oil on the ground. I am in the midst of trying to make them pay for my repairs because I am left without a vehicle and having to get rides from others to get to work. It results to me not having any transportation and having to miss a lot of things that I needed to attend. My daughter could not go to a Girl Scout meeting on Saturday, 2/20 because my husband had to be in SC. I need my car fixed ASAP.

What kind of manager does not call for help when employees call out? I have watched more people walk out of there due to not enough help. Today, February 22, 2010, I was there again to get oil change and the same thing happened again. No help. What is going on with your customer service? The girl came to tell us that there was no one to help. If you don't have dependable help then hire anew. I have never seen such a poorly run WalMart as we have here. There are lots of employees walking around but no one to help. Please help. We have gone to other WalMart down south but never had these problems.

Friday 02/19, I went to get an oil change at Dallas, GA (30132) location. The service was completed at 2:54 pm and at 5:34 pm (2.5 hours later), I discovered oil in my radiator and my oil was 1/2 pint short of oil. Luckily, the time I discovered the oil in the radiator, my mechanic was at my home servicing another car of mine.

I immediately reported this to Ron, Assistant. Manager at Wal-mart and I told him I was going to FL that night and I will cut my trip short in order to resolve this issue. Well today, 2/21/10, I took the car back and spoke to Ron and Russ. Ron who didn't even work in the Lube department stated that it was not oil, it must be transmission fluid. It was shortly discovered to be oil and then he changed his tune Oh it's oil, now we have to see how it got there, it could be that your leaking oil or burning oil".

I told him that leaking oil drops and burning oil dissolved, neither flows to the engine. I took more pictures and they took theirs. The car is a hazard to drive, I don't have a vehicle to drive to work and school. I have to spend extra money to diagnosis the car and fix.

I went in for an oil change. After a half hour, I was told that they could not do the oil change. The reason, the wrong filter was on my car. I wondered how that was possible seeing as I had no leakage from below the car. The girl inside at the register told me it was a "free spinning" type of filter. I had no clue what that was. She suggested I go to prior mechanic to have them do the oil change. I left, driving roughly 3 miles before my check engine light came on. I had no oil pressure. So I pulled over immediately.

When the tow truck driver arrived, he said that I had no oil filter. I called corporate, who then contacted the local store. They insisted they did not touch the oil filter. They had to have, or they would not have said it was loose! I was not told it was loose, just the wrong filter. I know that when you change your oil, you drain it first then remove the filter. I was then referred to their insurance company. The fellow took a month to contact me, even after I called every day for that month. When speaking with him, I felt that he thought that I was a dumb woman that knew nothing about cars. I set him straight on that one. In the end, he denied my claim saying, the burden of proof was on me to prove that my car did not have a very loose filter. Wal-Mart was not responsible!

I took my truck to Wal-mart, because it had a tire that was leaking air. They said the leak was in the sidewall and could not be fixed, so they sold me two new tires for the front. I drove the truck back home (Oklahoma) and then back to Colorado. At that time, my wife and I heard a noise from under the truck, and the steering wheel was shaking. So we pulled into the closest vehicle repair shop (Courtesy Auto). They looked at it and discovered the transfer case and front differential was damaged, and the cause was that the truck had differently sized tires on the front and back.

So we managed to get the truck back to Wal-mart where we bought the tires at, and we showed the tire and lube manager (Gary) the report that Courtesy Auto gave us. He said that Courtesy Auto was right, and Wal-mart should have never have put differently sized tires on the truck, but he could not do anything.

So I talked to the store manager (Adam), and he said I would have to file a claim with Wal-mart's Claims Management Department. For weeks I left my truck at Courtesy Auto, because I could not even drive my truck without doing further damage and 2 ASE-certified mechanics both said that I could not drive my truck until it was repaired. After calling several times to CMI (Her name was Billie.) and the store manager, they sent out a claims adjuster who said that 100% the problem was caused by mismatched tires on the truck but he would like to see the inside of the transfer case.

So I notified CMI (Billie), and she said she would pay for Courtesy Auto to take the transfer case off and apart if the damage was done by Wal-mart. So after the (Wal-mart paid.) claims adjuster came back out, the written report and verbal report to the owner of Courtesy Auto (Dennis) was that without a doubt (100%), the mismatched tires caused the transfer case damage, differential damage, and front bearing damage, along with other things. The report that Wal-mart gave me was that you can put mismatched tires on 4-wheel drive trucks, and it would not cause any damage.

Since then, I have contacted GMC dealerships, and they have all stated that every tire store knows that you cannot install differently sized tires on a 4-wheel drive truck because it will cause transfer case damage. And of course, Wal-mart is still saying that this is not their fault, and they will not pay for anything.

Wal-mart has caused my wife and me to lose our home, because we had to take the money we had for our house payments to pay to get the truck back home (Oklahoma). I also had a job interview in Oklahoma that I could not get to because my truck was not driveable and stuck in Colorado, and I lost weeks of employment, not counting a lot of other expenses. I am a diabetic, and I have already had a seizure. Every day, I cannot help but think of what Wal-mart has done to me and my wife. My blood pressure goes up, my wife says my face gets red, and I get really bad headaches.

We purchased 3 of our tires from the Wal-Mart on US Highway 19 in Port Richey or New Port Richey then so we could have a matching set, because they never offered us an appointment to hold the set of four. One was sold. So, we had to go all the way to US Highway 19 in Pinellas Park to purchase the fourth tire (last ones avail on clearance and a match and our first set of new tires ever) where my husband realized they forgot to even offer road side at the first store.

The second store helped us. We called to verify we had it. Now that we have problems with the tires, the New Port Richey store by our house is denying we ever got it! It’s our first ever new tire purchase of over $400 and I'm on social security. Of course, we purchased it. We had been having a lot of flats because of pot holes in the Kimberly Lakes subdivision taking our daughter to school. We wanted the protection so it would never happen again and the used tire places never carry our size. It’s supposed to be lifetime balance, rotation, and road hazard. They don't want to honor their end of the deal. I'm disabled so I don't know how to fight this and am unable to walk in Pasco for buses.

When the job was completed, I paid and noticed he used 7 quarts of my usual brand of oil instead of the normal 6 qts. I questioned him about it. He said it didn't hurt to put a little extra in. I consulted my other 8 Walmart oil changes paperwork and showed him. He stated he "has 40 years of experience." I consulted my Ford manual where on page #247 it says to never overfill the oil. His experience tells him that it's okay and that Ford is wrong. I don't like this but can't get hold of a store manager. Nothing has happened yet but I'm afraid that it might. I believe that Richard sold me an extra quart of oil for $3.77 and it can cost me an engine on my 2007 Ford.

There are around 5 guys around my car, joking and laughing and they finally pull my car out while still honking my horn. When I pay for my oil change, I ask the guy ringing me up, why do they have to honk my horn so much?

He claims it’s needed whenever they drive a car out. I don’t have a problem with that, but I do have a problem with them honking it several times. Didn’t seem very professional and I am not sure they even checked my tire pressure because the passenger front side still looked flat to me. I will never take it to a Walmart again for an oil change.

We went back to Walmart to get the tire fixed.

We were told they could not sell us a tire because they only sell car tires at this point. We don’t really care what kind of tire it is, we just need a tire. We finally were sold a tire and were told we had to put it on ourselves. They don’t work on trailers. They were nice enough to loan us a jack. When I went to pay for the tire, it cost $145.00. I bought four new tires at Wood River Walmart on December 5th, 2008. On July 30th, 2009, I noticed all my tires had bubbles on the sidewalls. I then returned to Wood River Walmart. The service manager said I had broken belts on all four; they were defective and needed to be replaced. The service manager told me I had a broken passenger rear leaf spring. He said I should have it welded and come back and they would replace my defected tires. I told him I would have it fixed today and return today. He said that sounds good, so I had it welded and returned the same day like I said I would and the service manager said, “Good. I am leaving for the day, but these guys here will fix you up with a set of new tires.”

After the service manager left, a service attendant, I didn't get his name but he had a big blonde pony tail sticking out of his cap, balls on his tongue and piercing in both ears, said to me, “We are not going to honor the warranty because the weld looks like a couple of tacks and is unsafe for me or anyone else to be under your truck.” How would he know this as he did not get on the ground and look at the repair? The weld was put in very hot, the weld is sound and still holds today.

I said, “To change tires, your vehicle doesn't have to be on a five foot rack, one foot would be fine.” But he said, “We will not do your work.” Then I asked to speak to a manager. He went and got a black lady and they both told me I was just stuck with the defective tires and they were not going to do anything about it so for me to have a good day. Before I left, I saw them both standing at the counter looking at me and laughing. They probably was saying to each other that they fixed me good.

On July 31st, 2009, I went to Jerseyville Walmart. I explained to the service manager what had happened in Wood River. He said, “Have a seat. Someone from management will be here to talk to you.” The store manager, Jim, said, “I understand you purchased four defective tires. We are going to replace them for you today right now.” He shook my hand real business like and said, “Have a good day.”

Can you tell me why customer satisfaction is not a priority at Wood River Walmart? I have thought about writing sooner, but then didn't. But the way I was treated should not ever happen to anyone else. Hopefully, Walmart in Wood River and upper management will hear about this as there could have been a bad accident with me driving to work every day on defective tires.

However, since Wal-Mart changed my oil the last time it was done, they agreed it was their fault and would pay to have it fixed. Wal-Mart gave me the name and phone number of the person (mechanic) I was to take my vehicle to. I took it and dropped it off where I was directed to and the supposedly mechanic supposedly fixed my vehicle and Wal-Mart paid the mechanic directly.

When I went back to Wal-Mart months later to have the oil changed again, they told me they could not change my oil because the oil pan had been stripped. (What?) So apparently the work to fix the original problem was never done. Now Wal-Mart says it is my responsibility to make the mechanic fix the vehicle since he was paid to do so. I feel that I should not have to fight it out with the mechanic since I never had an agreement with him. The service agreement was between him and Wal-Mart since Wal-Mart paid him. My husband told the intake person that we did not want the tire pressure modified at all because they set it too low and we had to then refill all the tires to the level that performs best on our vehicles. He asked that they just leave the tires alone. We watched as the intake person made a notation.

The intake person told us that it would be approx. 30 to 45 minutes, as they were behind. We had dinner at a restaurant in the mall, then returned a little late, approx. 1 hour after we dropped it off. It wasn't done. Our truck was the only vehicle in the garage. While sitting there for another half hour, we heard a loud bang. We immediately inquired what the problem was. The cashier said they were having trouble getting our tire off. We asked why in the world they were even touching our tires. The manager came out and said we had a broken sensor on one of our tires that we needed to replace but they luckily had one in stock for $60 that we could purchase.

My husband asked how he knew it was broken since they were supposed to have left the tires alone. He also asked why we had a broken sensor since it was fine when we came in. We told the manager we had been sitting out in the waiting area and had heard them pounding on the lugs. The manager became angry and said, "We aren't going to eat this (meaning the cost of the sensor)." I told him that he broke it on purpose, so it was his responsibility. He stormed into the back and the sensor was replaced free of charge. One of the employees, the intake person (who was no longer in that area), whispered to us that we needed to see the store manager as soon as possible. We thought all was resolved until we went to leave. We were loading our two small children into the truck when my husband thought he had better pop the hood and make sure they put oil in it. Guess what? They left off the oil cap.

I went in and spoke with the store manager. They offered me gift cards, which I refused, and went back to speak to the manager of the oil and lube. Our family could have been injured due to their attempts at defrauding us.

I was on my way home from a doctor's appointment and stopped to gas because my gas light came on. Unfortunately, when I finished pumping the gas, my vehicle would not start. The mechanic at the station checked and verified that it was my battery. After the battery was removed, I realized that it had a 3-year replacement warranty from Walmart and that the manufacturer date was August 2008 and the ship date was September 2008. I decided that I would take it back for the value of the battery (the new purchase exceeded the cost of the Walmart battery).

When I got to the store, I was asked if I had a receipt - normal question. However, it says Walmart and the dates were as above. Was a receipt really necessary? It was well within the warranty. However, the biggest problem was I did what I had to do to get on the road, bought a battery somewhere other than Walmart. They refused to offer any compensation. The assistant manager on duty said that the Walmart battery was a better battery. I am glad that he has confidence in your products, but he had no idea what type of battery I purchased or from where, so he was not qualified, in my opinion, to make that statement. After all, I was standing there with a battery that was a year old and useless.

He suggested that I allow him to replace the battery and take the other one back. Do you really think that another provider would have allowed such? Would Walmart have allowed that after they installed a battery in a customer's vehicle? If I had been on the interstate, I may not have had the option of going to a Walmart. I would have had to do what I could, just as I did today. Long story short, I left the useless Walmart battery at your store so that it could be properly disposed and explained to your assistant manager that I had learned a very valuable lesson - don't expect Walmart to offer any consideration for a one year old battery if you do not come back to them.

There were customers waiting. I hope that they did not need a battery. If so, I hope they left and went elsewhere because there were other options as it was about 4:00PM. As I recall, the only reason I purchased this one at the time that I did was because there were no other options, all reputable automotive stores were closed and Walmart was still open. I guess the old phrase "Anything good is worth waiting for is true." Moral of the story, wait for a reputable automotive dealer to open before purchasing a battery from a Walmart store.

I purchased a set of tires from Walmart in January 2008. The tires are Goodyear Tracker 2. They have a 50,000 miles guarantee. I took my vehicle to Walmart today because all the tires are wore down to the wear indicator line. My vehicle has 30,000 miles on them. The tech even said they are wore out. I mentioned the tires and that they have not used up the mileage. They did not tell me they were going to charge me for the tires. They asked me if i wanted to roll the lifetime wheel rotation because they would have to charge me for it. I told them i did. When it was done they handed me a bill for $363.50 without tax. I asked to speak with someone else about it. So of course they sent an assitant manager, one of the tech guys whom repeatedly told me about their "pro rata" way of screwing you over. I tried to explain my rational for this but of course it didnt make sense. I have already paid for tires that I should have had for 50,000 miles but today i ended up having to spend more money on the same seriously defective tires with a $40 discount on each tire. Considering that 5,000 miles ago, i only used half the life of the tire. If i took the vehicle into the shop in August, Pro rata would have been $65. But i guess the extra 5,000 miles cost me an extra $25. I should not have to pay over $900 for a set of tires to get 50,000 miles out of them. I do remember putting 70,000 miles on a set of Uniroyals one time. Now that is a tire that stands up to its mileage guarantee.

The last time September 13th 2009 I took the car in for the 3K mile oil change and tire rotation and Fix the tire that has been going flat for 8-10 months. They called me and told me that there was nothing they could do it was a "Mechanical Problem" so I went and discussed it with the technician, the manager Nancy and a couple other employees, they all claimed the same.. I drive this car 3000 miles a month so the car is in there every month getting tires rotated and oil changed. They do not keep records of the tire rotation and then want to blame the customer for lack of maintenance. Christina the department manager wanted to doubt what Jake told me and then called the store manager and says " He said just give him what he says." then she comments, " I guess he is just tired of you as I am too." They discontinued the tires I have on the car before I got the two tires replaced and gave me a cheaper Douglas tire.. "Junk" as Christina described them. The store manager and district manager lie about things..Richard and John H do not correspond with each other and John H refused to talk to me about it when I made the trip there to the Culpeper store when we found out Richard was out sick.. John H said we had to deal with Richard. I had the car checked for the alignment and the only mechanical failure is Walmart's Lube and Tire technicians. I am not going to Walmart for ANYTHING anymore do to this Horrible experience.

I needed 2 new tires put on my car today and its a sunday, so service stations locally are pretty much closed. I thought "Hey, walmart does tires and they're open too!", little did I know that I was about to give myself the biggest headache EVER when dealing with a tire service station.
I waited for almost 2 hours while they "worked" on my car. Then a worker comes and tells me "Your lug nuts were too tight and 6 were stripped out, I got 5 to come off but one's on there really good and I can't get it. I'm just going to put a new tire and an old tire on the front- same in the back. Better take your car to another garage and have the lug nut taken off and bring it back and we'll rotate your tires for you". I really didn't think much of it because I worked at an auto body shop for a few years, so I said fine I'll go take the lug nut off. Big mistake. I go to the shop and we worked on the car for almost 2 hours, the lugnut was completely and I mean completely ROUNDED OFF. We tried everything. The bad part is that the stud on the wheel looks bent as well from the workers monkeying around with it for over an hour. I realized that this wasn't an easy fix and took the car back to walmart. At the service station the best they could do for me was rotate my other old tire onto my front end so they're the same and my new tires don't start wearing funny. "I don't know what to tell you, we didn't have the right size socket so we used a bigger one and that stripped it." SO HE LIED WITH HIS FIRST STORY ABOUT THE LUGS BEING TOO TIGHT!! AH HAH, something fishy is going on here for sure. I almost lost my cool and said I can't believe that nobody told me what was happening, because I had a tire iron in my car that fit my lugs!! This whole mess could've been avoided from the start but I guess they aren't that intelligent at walmart's tire and lube they just jump in Rambo style and try to get the job done, whether they damage your car or not. After I left the service garage I went straight to a manager in the front of the store. She was very nice and everything was going good, but then she called for the tire and lube manager who was anything less than pleasant. He was emotionless, cold, and unwilling to admit that this was their fault eventhough he DID agree that his service guys used the wrong size socket on my lug nut. I mean he was ready to blame anyone and everything possible in the world except his own guys for screwing up my wheel. Now its about to snow anytime here, I've got a newborn son and a couple 6 month old tires on the front of my car that have barely any traction and 2 brand new ones on the back that don't help much because my car is front wheel drive. If I get a flat before this is fixed, I'm in deep trouble I'll need a tow and that means I'll miss my college classes that me and my family are depending on me finishing. I am going tomorrow to see a mechanic who is about the only person I know who could even have a shot at fixing my car. If he can't get the lug nut off, I don't know what I'm going to do at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they don't pay their guys enough to care about what they're doing to your car!!!

Went in, I needed a change of oil and had been looking for a place that was open. We finally gave up, we stopped at Walmart to buy an item but notice they had an auto department. I didn't know that, so I got in line and the worker got all my information. He mentioned that they were busy and that there were only 2 technicians working and that there will be an hour and a half to two hour wait. I was okay with that, I'll wait. I had 3 of my dogs and partner. He asked me for my cell number and mentioned that there was a park that was within walking distance. I thanked and mention I'll be back in about 2 hours it was one o'clock.

I returned a little pass 4, my car was moved and walked in. The guy at the counter asked had your number been called. I mentioned I didn't know but my car was done. I needed to wait for my number to be called out. Then 5 minutes pass and someone paged me in the intercom regarding my car and to step up to counter. I'm the person they just paged. I went outside, pointed to the door, had to look around for the guy - it was a different one. This guy said they couldn’t do my oil change because where the oil was drained, the screw was stripped and if he told it out they didn't the pan to replace it and I probably have to have my car towed out of there and that I need to take it back to the last place who changed my oil.

The very next day, I took it to a different place, had change of oil and also 60,000 mile maintenance; mention that Walmart told me that was the thing they checked. They told me that nothing was wrong and everything looked good. They probably didn’t want to do it. That made me mad. If they didn’t want or simply couldn't because of the lack of personnel, just say it and they only picked me because the car behind me was still in the service bay. I felt discriminated against. They didn't even take the time to call me the worth of the service and on top the story, I hear about discrimination toward gays. I truly believe it was the reason it was done.

After they were done, they told me one of my tires needed to be changed so I got that done too. So we paid almost 200 dollars and went home. Then we ran into town and the car started messing up. Even in park, the car would surge like it was trying to go. The car would drive without stepping on the gas and surges and when you try to brake, you have to slam down on it just to get it to stop. So we went straight up there to make a complaint. I told them what happened. They got an asst. manager and she argued with me saying they had nothing to do with that. I told her, "I never had any problems and I want it looked at now." I have children that ride in that car and I want it fixed now. So they took it to the back and looked at it.

I guess one of the bolts or whatever slid down and was cutting off one of the lines which caused it to drive by itself and surge. The guy said he was sorry about that and the lady was still rude and never said sorry but just made excuses for them. Now it's Sept. 11th and I drove home and everything was fine. I was getting ready to leave and the car started for a little bit then it puttered and died. So I tried it again and it did the same thing and when I stepped on the gas, it started making popping sounds. So I have called them and told them about it and they are supposed to return my phone call tomorrow. So now it's a waiting game and I'll be damned if I get screwed again. Not long after this oil change, I began to experience a lag in my transmission. I took it to a local mechanic for the next oil change and asked him to also check my transmission. He informed me that my transmission was sealed and could only be worked on by the dealer. I was trying to save the money to take my truck to the dealer when, last week, the transmission totally stopped working.

When the dealer inspected my transmission, they discovered that it had been over-filled with too much fluid and what was drained was a mixture of the required WS ATF and another unidentifiable fluid. They drained and refilled with the correct fluid; however, my transmission still is not working. They told me they suspected that the transmission drain plug was opened in error and whoever did this overfilled it with the wrong fluid. The only choice is to replace the transmission.

I have invoices from the last 3 oil changes done at your facility. The first 2 (dated 7/19/2008 and 11/21/2008) state that the transmission fluid check was declined and then a note stating it is a sealed transmission. The most recent invoice states that the transmission fluid was checked. This is impossible as there is no dipstick, and the only way to get to the transmission is through the drain plug, losing the fluid in the process.

In light of the fact that nobody else has worked on my vehicle and the documentation that shows your facility checked my transmission fluid, I can reasonably ascertain that your last mechanic to change my oil also inadvertently drained my transmission fluid. In addition, I feel that upon realizing the error, they attempted to hide the error by attempting to replace whatever fluid was lost with some other fluid.

Also, she did not know the price of the balance, so she asked a lady who was working in the shop. The lady told her it is $1.50 per tire. So, I said I would like to have both tires balanced. She had all kinds of trouble making up the ticket, so I went out into the store to do some shopping. When I came back to see if my tires were done, she had people standing all around and the phone was ringing over and over. She was telling people she did not know what she was doing and she wished someone would come help her.

After about an hour, two other ladies came back from lunch and were trying to help her. I asked if my tires were done and was told that there were one to two cars ahead of me and that I would just have to wait. I told them I had been waiting for about an hour already. Finally, a worker came back from lunch and they told him to do my tires. So, he took both tires to the balancer and set them by it and started talking to another worker. After about five minutes, he put one tire on the balancer, spins the tire and saw it needed some weight. So, he went and looked for the right weight and saw there was no weight for it. He went to the stock room and got the boxes of weights, brought them back, and put them in the rack and wrote them on a clipboard then put them on my tire.

He respins the tire; it is okay. He put the other tire on the balancer and spins the tire. He saw it needed weight and went to get the weight, but there was no weight for this, so he went to the stock room and got some more boxes of weights and took them back to the rack and put them in the rack and wrote them on the clipboard, then put them on the tire. Then he went over and entered that he balanced the tires, but he never checked to see what the air pressure was in the tires. So when I got home with the tires, I had to add a lot of air in each tire like about 5 to 6 lbs each. Then when I went to pay out, the manger rang me out and charged me $5 per tire and said I was told wrong. So is this the kind of service you give all of the people who send their hard earned money?

That’s a bad way to treat an ex-employee and now a customer who may never shop in the auto department again - and maybe the whole store.

I went to the Tire & Lube Express in Walmart around June 2009. They charged me $30.00 for oil change and I also asked if they could also rotate my tire. They refused to do it because my tire supposedly needs to be changed. But my tire is perfectly in good condition to be able to do it because I went to a tire shop and they did it. On the other hand, as of today, August 5, 2009, the maintenance light on my 2007 Toyota Corolla came on. Usually, when this light comes on, it needs to be oil changed. I looked at the miles that I have used up so far and it's only 1,472 miles. It had not reached to 3,000 miles, which is when I will expect the maintenance light to come on. So, I figured, these people did not do their job as of changing my oil. I am very upset and I want a refund of my $30.00 because the workers there are lazy to do any kind of work!

I went back to Walmart and requested to watch the video from one of the managers, but she told me there was nothing in the video. They told me to bring a police report to let me review their video. I filed a report at the police department today. I am very mad at Walmart. I trust this company and I bought many items we need. But they are too rude and they don't want to solve this problem. On Friday, July 9, 2009, I was driving to work for my night shift job at Arizona State Prison, Kingman when before that exit, I heard a noise. I got off at the Yucca exit. This was the next possible exit. I parked at the Yucca post office. I immediately turned off the engine and got out and there was oil coming out from under the car. I got a ride with a stranger named Bud to work. At work, I called Wal-Mart and was told Dave, a supervisor, would arrange to meet me at 7am at the Yucca Post Office. I asked that they leave a message on my phone by 6am to confirm someone would be there because I wanted to make sure this was going to happen so I could arrange a ride. By the morning, there was no call so a co-worker took me to Wal-Mart. By 8am, Jeff and an assistant were on their way with me to the oil spill at Yucca. It was stated by Jeff on inspection there was no plug.

After the plug was requested and brought from Kingman, the oil filled and I went home. My engine light and alarm have now started coming on showing problems. I cancelled work for that noc. I could hardly get any sleep and the car is still not acting right. I filed small claims on 7/17/2009 of $1000 and will amend it because I will need a rental. If this means a new engine, I may amend for $2,500. Should I talk with the insurance company? What should I do next?

On 7/17/09, I found myself in need of new tires for my horse trailer. We had a family trip which was dependent upon getting these tires replaced. I checked all over town for stock on these trailer tires and found them only at Walmart. This was where the problems really began. Even though they had a very modern and not busy service area to do this work, they refused to dismount from my vehicle or to remount on my vehicle the $500 set of tires I was buying. The only way they would mount my tires was if I took them off in the parking lot (in the sun) and brought them in to the still empty service area and wheel them back out and remount myself. I happen to be battling Parkinson's disease and really struggle with this type of labor at this point in my life, but even if I were healthy, there is still no call for this type of service. They mentioned something about liability issues. I even showed the mgr. how by using a block designed for this purpose you don't even need to jack to change tires. I cannot understand why you would want to be in the tire business and build a service area and not want to utilize it.

I probably won't use Walmart again for tires because they really perturbed me over this. It is also quite bothersome that you are evidently operating the service center with individuals who have little to no experience. I think if I were you, I would get in the tire business or out of it entirely, but I would not run it in a half-hearted fashion as you are now.

I owned a 2002 Grand Cherokee jeep. When the original battery went bad after about 5 years, I bought a top-of-the-line battery from Wal-Mart on January 10, 2006. On February 19, 2006, I took it back and they replaced it. So on August 11, 2007, the battery was leaking again. So they replaced it again. So on December 29, 2008, I noticed that there was a lot of battery acid under my hood. I mean a lot.

So I went back to the same Wal-Mart and showed the service manager Frank. Not only was he rude, he also suggested that I shop somewhere else. So I bought another battery, and I told him he had to clean all that battery acid up. He rinsed the battery case with the water hose and didn't even check to clean under it. He wrote on my receipt that the battery was leaking. And in the meantime, my air conditioner had quit working. When I got my oil changed, they checked my air conditioner out and it was eaten up with the acid that had leaked.

I and my son went back to Wal-Mart and asked for the store manager Veronica. Frank was supposed to have informed her on the accident, but he didn't. She didn't know what I was talking about, so I told her the story; and she had someone write up a claim. Then we said we wanted pictures taken. So they took some pictures. They turned my claim down and said the battery wasn't leaking. But when I talked to the lady at the battery company, she had not received any pictures. Wal-Mart had lost the pictures.

Then I finally found out where the photos were. She called and had them sent to her. And the claims said they couldn't do anything, because the pictures were taken after the new battery was put in. Frank, the service manager, should have taken the pictures the day that I was there showing him the acid everywhere. Mrs. ** at Johnson battery told me herself that they can send any battery they want to them.

Now, this has been going on since the end of December. They aren't doing anything but giving me a runaround. Mrs. ** was supposed to get back to me after she submitted it to her supervisor in their corporate office, and I hadn't heard anything. I have pictures, and I kept notes on every conversation I had with everyone I talked to at Wal-Mart plus Mrs. ** at the battery company.

I have never had this treatment on my vehicle, so I thought I would give it a try to see if it made any difference. To make a long story short, after about 3 hours, I went to check and see if my vehicle had been serviced.

Well, I came to find out that the treatment was not complete and my vehicle would not start. The employees then told me that there was obviously a "problem" prior to my vehicle being serviced. Note that I have never had my car put in the shop and it was driving perfectly before I took it to Wal-Mart. They then told me that I would have to have my vehicle towed at my own expense. The management eventually agreed to pay for the tow, but my vehicle is still not running. If anyone has had a similar problem and would like to give any advice, it would be highly appreciated.

On June 14, 2009, I went to Wal-Mart to get an oil change on my wife's car, a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. Once the oil change started, I was called back and informed that I also needed wiper blades which I allowed them to change. The oil change was completed about 3:52 PM. On June 21, 2009, my wife was traveling to Anderson, IN to pick up one of our grandchildren for a two-week stay with us. Anderson is about 130 miles south of Elkhart, IN. She left at about 8:00 AM that morning so we could spend the rest of Father's Day together. At about 10:00 AM, I get a call from my wife stating the car was smoking bad and was very hot. After asking to look under the hood, she noticed the oil cap sitting on the front of the ledge where the hood latch is located and oil was all over the engine compartment. I told her to take a picture of the location of the oil cap and engine compartment.

I called Wal-Mart to explain what had happen and was told that if I had any problems, they would take care of anything that has happened to the car. I called my wife back to see if she was able to continue on her journey and she informed me that a county police officer had taken her to purchase some oil to replace the oil that she had lost and she was attempting to start the car, which she was able to do. But shortly after we had talked and she started back on her way to Anderson, she called me back saying the car was losing power like it didn’t want to go anymore.

I called Wal-Mart again and explained that my wife was stranded on the highway now and that the car would not start again. They informed me to just get it towed and that they would take full responsibility once they review the video and verify that the oil cap had been left off. I had the car towed back to Elkhart to a repair shop. The Wal-Mart assistant manager and service manager came out to the repair shop to inspect the car and they changed the oil and replaced the filter on the spot. But the car had other mechanical problems due to the over heating of the engine. The assistant manager said he had to turn this over to their insurance company due to the fact that the amount was over the amount that a store could payout.

I was finally contacted by Wal-Mart’s insurance company saying that they were investigating the incident and that they would get back with me within two weeks. I informed them that it had been over two weeks since the incident and that I was already out of pocket with money that I did not have. The adjuster named Blake said he needed to review the video and talk to the service technician from the repair shop before he could determine fault. After one day, he called me back saying that after reviewing the video, he determined that Wal-Mart personnel had replaced the oil cap. I asked if I could see the video and he stated that it was Wal-Mart’s property and if I wanted to see the video, I need a court order for discovery. And then he proceeded to deny my claim stating that I can just take them to small claims court.

Then we decided to go ahead and grocery shop. Fifty minutes later, when we got back to the oil change department, my wife's van was ready and they told me my car had a problem, that I needed to come with them and see. On getting there, my oil plate was busted open while they were trying to unscrew the drainage oil plug.

Then I asked to see the manager. My wife and I waited for forty five minutes before he came and when he came, he went straight to my car, looked at it, came to me and told me that whoever did my last oil change tightened the oil plug too tight and while they (Walmart) were trying to unscrew the plug, it busted my oil pan and that Walmart was not liable for such damage, that I should take my car to the previous oil changer to pay for the damage. Then I told the manager, "What sense does it make if come to Walmart and change oil three months later, to come back that someone damaged my oil pan and ask Walmart to pay?" Finally, I was tricked that their insurance company will contact me about its findings. They gave me a claim number and an insurance contact number. When I called the insurance company, they told me the same thing. David ** told me that Walmart does not pay for damages like that.

On Friday, May 29, 2009 at 1807 h, I took my vehicle to have oil and filter change and tire rotation. I was dealt with by Aaron. I specifically asked if Walmart would be able to carry out the work that I had asked for. I was told yes, a trained technician would do the required service. The service was completed at 1840 h. While my truck was being worked on, I noticed that the truck was not evenly raised on the jack on the first attempt. On the second jacking, my truck was not evenly raised again. I attempted to go to the pit area and the door was locked and no onsite personnel were available at reception for approximately 35 minutes. On associate arrival, I voiced my concerns about the way in which my truck was jacked. I was told not to worry as the associates are professional technicians and know what they are doing. I was also told that customers are not allowed within the pit, so I would not have been heard or see too if I had entered the area.

On leaving the premises, I checked my oil to ensure the correct levels and all was fine. I returned to my home address. On Saturday, 30th of May 2009, I left home and went to run some errands. I noticed that the check engine light was illuminated and my truck was not running normally. I pulled over and checked the engine. I noticed that there was a leak coming from the under carriage between the oil pan and transmission. On further inspection, I noted that the oil filter was leaking motor oil and transmission fluid was rapidly discharging from the unit. My paint was also chipped where the jack had been used to lift my truck for the oil change. I called the Walmart store several times using the phone number on the receipt and there was no answer. This was at 1720 h.

I decided to return to the store and arrived at 1800 h. There I was dealt with by Sheri (lube & tire manager). I explained the situation to the manager and asked to speak directly with the store manager. He refused to deal with me directly and left the premise to go home. Transmission fluid has leaked all over my vehicle both front and back. For evidence, I have photos taken by myself and Sheri. I asked about policies with regards to the unsafe nature of my vehicle. No one would advise on this matter. I was told that I need to place a claim with Walmart and wait for a response/decision.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the manner of the store manager’s refusal to come and speak with me directly whilst I was at the store and the fact that I was told to leave with a vehicle that leaked transmission fluid for the 5-mile journey back to my residence. I was not offered an alternative means of transportation as this is not within Walmart’s policies. Instead, I was given a bottle of transmission fluid and sent on my way. This is a serious matter, as prior to my visit at Walmart I have never had any problems with my vehicle’s transmission (I keep it in immaculate condition). Also, it is my only means of transportation and I now have to rely on public transportation or a rental vehicle at my own cost.

While I was gone, my son noticed a puddle on the driveway. When I got home, he pointed it out to me. I touched it, smelled it and realized it was fresh oil. By this time, I had put over 90 miles on the car. So I jacked the car up and realized there was a new puddle forming already. I reached under the car and touched the drain plug and it was loose. As I grabbed it to turn it, I realized it was just spinning in place, that the plug had been stripped. I called Walmart but the manager, Chris, had left for the day. I called Chris the next day and he said that he would review the "video tapes" and also drive the 35 miles to our house to take pictures.

Later that day, he determined that it was too much money for him to pay out of the store account and that he would have to send it to their "insurance", Claims Management Inc. The next day, he called us with a claim number and the claims person's name was Anita ** and her phone number **. She did call us the following day, assuring us that we would have an answer by the end of the week. Well, we got an answer, but 3 weeks later and after much running around. We first received a phone call on a Saturday from Ms. ** stating that our "claim" had been denied, no explanation, but we could call her the following Tuesday for an explanation. When we called, her voicemail indicated she would be out of the office for a week and a half. I had to request 3 different supervisors before I got one that wasn't on vacation for the next week.

But "Brian" told me they were denying our claim because they were not the last ones to touch our car. Because I looked under the car and touched the drain plug and simply turned it, I might have been the one to cause the damage even though the oil was already draining out all over my driveway! We are unable to drive our car. My wife has been driving our big pick-up truck which uses a lot more gas while I have been driving her car. Walmart refuses to even pay for a replacement oil change, not that I would take them up on it. The estimate for repair was $450.00.

Upon him coming back, I asked if he had my all weather tires and he said in the trunk. I knew all 4 tires would not fit in the trunk so I called Wal-Mart. They said they had made a mistake and to come right back and they would give me my tires.

My boyfriend got the tires and put them in the shed. All was fine until April 15 rolled around and he took the tires out of the shed and went back to Wal-Mart to have the studs off and all weathers back on. Surprise, surprise the tires I got back from Wal-Mart were not my tires, not even the proper rim size. When I called Wal-Mart, I got the run around of course. After speaking with several managers Wal-Mart, I determined that they had video surveillance of the tech putting the proper tires in my trunk. When I asked to see the video, they told that it would be a breach of Wal-Mart security.

Thanks to Wal-Mart. It is June 17 and I am driving a uninspected car because I cannot get a sticker with my studded snow tires on. I have filed a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau but as of yet, Wal-Mart has not responded. I spend a lot of money in Wal-Mart and I am disappointed that they can steal from their customers. I could not go there and just take items I wanted and I feel that they have committed fraud by not returning my proper tires. On May 6, 2009 I went to get an oil change on my Limited Edition 1996 Pontiac Firebird. I left my car and went inside to do some shopping with my three-year-old son. About thirty minutes later, my car was done so I went back and the technician advised me that I needed a new wheel, so he made me sign a paper stating that I was told about the problem. So I signed it, paid for my groceries and went along.

I got in the car and noticed that the inside wasn't vacuumed correctly but I just wanted to get home so I left. I got on the freeway, that's right by Walmart, and started to drive home. About five or ten minutes on to the freeway, my car started overheating so I pulled over and called Walmart. I spoke to Connie and she advised me to let the car cool down and then head back to Walmart. I let the car cool for about twenty minutes and when I turned it back on, it went straight to the red. It wouldn't cool down. So I looked under the hood and pulled out the oil dip stick and it was dry; there wasn't any oil in it.

So I called Connie again and informed her that there wasn't any oil in the car and she told me that she would send one of her technicians over to look at the car. I had already gotten off the freeway, no more than ten miles from Walmart. It was 7pm when I was told that a technician was going to show up. My three year old and I sat in the car until 9pm when Steve the technician showed up. I told him that I checked the oil and that there wasn't any in it. He said that all he can do is inspect the car and take pictures (he couldn't do any work on it). He looked under the hood and took pictures of the license plate, the mileage, and the engine.

Steve then pulled the dip stick out and noticed that there was only about three centimeters of oil. Steve (technician) told me to drive my car home. I told Steve that I lived about five miles away from where I was and that I didn't want my engine to blow up on my way home. He told me that it wouldn't blow and that Walmart will be responsible for any damage to my car. I got a ride home at about 9:30pm and let the car sit for another three hours. My boyfriend got off of work and picked it up. As soon as he turned it on, it went straight to the red spot. It was still hot. We didn't want to make any permanent damage to the car so Brian, my boyfriend, decided to push the car about five blocks down the street. We were still a couple of blocks away from home so he just drove it the rest way.

The next day I went to Walmart and spoke to the manager Emanuelle. I told him what happened and that I had a mechanic look at my car and that my engine was blown. I told him that I need to get this fixed. I told Emanuelle that I was going to get a rental and my car fixed, and that I would later bill them. He said, “Okay, we will be responsible for it.” I got a call from Carla at the Tire And Lube Service department and she advised me that I need to take my car to a certified mechanic and get a diagnostic test. She told me that if I decide to get a rental, that they won't pay for it.

So I got my car towed to Chevrolet in San Bernardino and got a diagnostic tets. Ness told me that there was water getting into my engine. I called Carla and told her what the mechanic said. All she told me was that she was going to go and talk to the mechanic. All she did was look under the hood and take pictures of the dip stick. She said that the mechanic talked to her and that CMI would get back to me and let me know what's going to happen. Richard at CMI took my report and I advised him that Carla took pictures but she didn't talk to the mechanic, Ness. I asked Richard at CMI if he can give him a call so that Ness can explain what's wrong with my car.

Richard refused to call Ness and told me that he was trying to get a hold of Steve who went to look at my car. But Steve called off sick on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday (a week later), Richard couldn't get a hold of Steve until Thursday. Steve changed his story and told Richard something different. I was getting the runaround from everyone. On Friday May 15, Richard from CMI told me that Walmart wasn't liable for the damage and that my cooling system was what caused my engine to blow.

I told Richard that I've never had any problems with my cooling systems or my car. He told me that it was out of his hands now and that if I wanted to, I can take them to court. Everyone was so rude. My car is at the shop waiting to get fixed. My engine and gaskets are blown.

Driving a vehicle with four matching tires bought in 10/07, only 6000 miles on them. Driver, my son, was on the highway going 60 MPH, heard a loud noise, thought his transmission fell out or something as drastic and as loud. He pulled off the exit, which was right there, thank God, looked at car, tire had a 4-6" gaping ragged hole in sidewall, rear tire, driver's side. He could have been injured fatally. Tire was obviously defective. Jeep was towed to place of original purchase, Wal-Mart in Waterford, CT. They tested the thread on the other three tires and told my son they'd replace the blown tire as the thread on the others was fine.

I told my son we will not accept that as: 1.) They'd all come from the same defective batch, and 2.) I did not want mismatching tread on tires. Mind you, they felt the size of the tire was good for car at purchase, and then also today, the day one tire blew a gaping hole in sidewall. My son insisted, I also told him to speak to assistant manager, Pat (or Cat), who told me she'd look into recalls from that batch. They then agreed they'd replace all four. But they said (these were the same techs who sold the tires and installed them on the jeep,) that the tires were too wide and rubbing on the bumper that's why it blew. Rear tires don't turn so it can't rub.

As I said before, they wanted to put three matching (now incorrect size) just minutes earlier. So I came, took pictures of the tire with cameras to be safe. When we bought and had the tires installed at Wal-Mart, they certainly didn't object to going from a 225 to a 235 as they said the wheel could handle that size. Now, they're placing the blame on me for buying that size. They said it was fine. I'd like to add I'm afraid of these tires completely. If I had a choice I'd have chosen a different brand to be safe. They should pay for an alignment also. One strange thing about this incident is that we were told the receipt for the four new tires will not be placed in the nationwide Wal-Mart database for warranty and if he travels, we must have the original with us to have coverage, like they're possibly hiding this issue from corporate.

I had bought tires a month before from Wal-Mart. Well, we were going to my wife's doctors appointment. When the left front tire blew out throwing the vehicle across the double yellow lines and into on coming traffic, somehow true divine intervention, no one was killed. We got the car back to the right shoulder and changed the tire, this wearing full body braces. I inspected the tire having worked for several years in the tire business in a real tire shop. There was no road hazard injury to the tire, no holes. It was not run low or flat. The piece of garbage simply can clean apart about two inches from the rim. When we got to Wal-Mart, we were informed that it would be a three-hour wait because several employees had to be let go the week before. When it was finally done, the clerk asked for $58. At which point, I became livid and asked why when he knew it was the product's failure that caused us to almost die, that it's Wal-Mart policy to never accept blame for the garbage they sell. I have now paid $140 for a tire that I have no idea when it's going to kill my wife and children.

Walmart has been changing my oil and filters as well as rotating the tires. I have never had any problems. On one occasion, they scraped up my cheap plastic wheel covers and let me pick out a new set. One thing I do, before leaving the vehicle, I take digital pictures of my nice wheels. Before leaving, I always look under the hood and for the next couple of days, I watch for any big oil leaks. Expect a little one at first due to the old oil that collects on various horizontal surfaces when drained. I do this when I change my own oil as well. I actually left an old "O" ring on at one time and put the new filter on top. Guess what? It leaked oil... Guess what? I fixed it.

Be aware of your vehicle and keep an eye on it anytime you let someone work on it. It is hard to prove anything, esp. with older cars, so being preventative is about the best you can do or change your own oil.

My wife took her 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE to Walmart for an oil change and lube check. After the services were supposedly completed, she drove her car home - approximately 10 miles. The car was parked until the next morning, when my son used it to go visit his friend. He drove the car approximately 40 miles on I-75 until he said the motor was hammering, overheating and was not shifting. He pulled off the highway and after it cooled, he checked the oil. The oil level was just barely detectable. He then called me. I left from work and drove to the car. I double checked the oil and the radiator level. I looked for any obvious leaks, then added the oil to bring it up to proper level and I started the car. The motor hammered very loudly. I called Walmart immediately and spoke with the assistant manager.

He said for me to have the vehicle towed to a mechanic of my choice and have them determine if the problem could have been due to Walmart not performing a proper oil change. After the mechanics determined that the lack of oil was certainly the most likely reason as the car has had routine maintenance and a good performance history, I called the assistant manager and then was informed he would review the video at the store to see if they neglected to do the proper service and return my call. This was by the way his second failure to return my call. Being persistent and very upset, I followed up again; finally making contact with him and was told that after his review of the video, he determined everything was done properly. I was then informed that I would have to file a complaint.

Once my complaint had been received, Walmart's independent claims management company contacted me. I gave them the location of the mechanic's garage. They visited the mechanic's garage and looked under the hood. Based on their observation, concluded that our car was leaking oil from the valve covers and from other areas - had oil caked all over, etc. This motor is a 2.4 dual overhead cam. No valve covers! The owner/mechanic is certified and very qualified, and did a very through inspection and engine analysis including putting the car on the hoist. The Walmart "inspectors" never even got under the car. They actually were very rude and tried to coerce the mechanic into agreeing with their dishonest evaluation. The mechanics are veteran technicians and have a very good referral business on Marco Island.

After I received the denial of responsibility from Kerry ** of Claims Management Inc., I was furious but not surprised as I have discovered that this is very typical of their so-called expert oil and lube services. Unfortunately, I can't afford the money it would cost for a lawsuit. The car, although valued as transportation, isn't worth much more than $2,000.00. The car has been parked in my driveway for two years prior and never leaked a drop, and still after three months of not moving hasn't dripped at all! Now I guess I will rebuild it at my expense and Walmart can kiss my royal white **! Never again.

I took my car to Wal-Mart to have the oil change in 2003. I changed to high mileage. I was told by the tech that if I changed to high mileage oil, I could not change back. If I wanted to change back, I would have to sign a form requesting to change back. I was going to work in March 2009 when my car stalled and would not start again. A mechanic checked my car. He asked me what type of oil I was putting in my car. I told him high mileage oil. I pulled out the invoice from my last oil change and it was not high mileage. The mechanic asked me why I changed back to regular oil. I told him I did not. He told me once you change, you cannot go back over a period of time. This causes problem with your engine.

I contacted the Wal-Mart store in Meridian, MS. It took someone two days to call me back. Every time I called and asked for a store manager for oil and tire lube, I was placed on hold. Finally, after several telephone calls, I was told that all the managers were out to lunch. I was given the telephone number at the main office. I explained what had happened and that no one would call me back. At the end of the day, someone called me from Wal-Mart and I told her what had happened about the change of oil. She asked me to bring my car to Wal-Mart in Meridian, MS. I told her that I was told that my motor had blown up. She said that she would file a claim and get the mechanic to come to my home so they could take pictures.

Crystal called me back and said she would file a claim, and someone from the claim office would contact me. I was contacted by the claim adjuster. He asked some questions and stated that he wanted to talk to the mechanic. Later, he called me back and said that Wal-Mart only put the high mileage oil in my car once and that would not cause the motor to go bad. All the oil is the same. I asked why did they charge different price if all the oil was the same. He did not answer that question. The bottom line, he stated, is "Your car has too many miles and we are not going to fix it." He said, "I contacted the Ford dealership and they confirmed that the oil is the same." I told him I knew he was lying and that Wal-Mart screwed up cars everyday.

I asked him to put the info in writing and mail me a copy of his findings. He stated that he would. It is May and I have not received this information. I have called several times requesting this information and no one will provide me with this information. I went to Wal-Mart in Meridian and talked to one of the mechanic in the oil changing dept. I asked if I changed to high mileage oil and wanted to change back, could I. He stated that if I changed to high mileage and changed back to regular oil, this would eventually mess the motor up. I went to another Wal-Mart store and I was told the same thing.

I am tired of dealing with these crooks. I have a friend and her son works at Wal-Mart. He told her they had class on high mileage oil changes. The customer could not change back to regular oil without signing a paper requesting to change back. I feel that I was discriminated against because I am a woman.

Upon returning to the parking lot, the car overheated and seized up. The car had to be pushed back to the TLE. The TLE technician put the wrong oil filter on the car, causing the oil to spurt everywhere. They replaced the oil filter, and put in new oil (or so I thought). A few nights ago, we noticed my car making loud noises upon being started. We checked the oil, and noticed it was 2.5 quarts low. We went to Walmart the following day. I parked my car in front of the garage bay as requested by the automotive mgr and advised that it would take approximately 30 minutes. I informed them that I marked the leaking locations where the front passenger side tire was leaking on the rim with small white paint dots. Approximately 40 minutes later I went back to the automotive deparment. My car was then parked in the parking lot near the automotive department. I asked the clerk if it was ready and he replied that they couldn't find a leak. I never walked around the car to check it before leaving. I got into my car and drove home. Upon arriving home, my wife noticed a large dent in my car in front of the passenger side front tire. I contacted the assistant manager about the damage, he advised me to come back so that he may take pictures and fill out a report. I drove back to walmart and did fill out the report while he took pictures. It was shortly around 7 pm, the automotive department was closing. The technician that worked on my car came out while I was talking with the asst mgr. He walked to the front of my car and stated that the damage was there when I first arrived. I responed that he was wrong. The car could use a paint job but there was no body damage. I was alread aggravated about my car when the technician told me that I was a lying fat MF. That really ticked me off. I gave him a few choice words in retaliation of his vulgarities. He then said that he would whip my F**king a$$. I would have appreciated him trying. The assistant manager never said anything until I told him that the individual making those remarks was the automotive technician that worked on my car. The assist. mgr. looked confused but never said anything to the technician. The assistant mgr and I went inside to pull up my service ticket, there was no damage noted on the service ticket upon arrival, which I knew there wouldn't be. Well I eventually got in touch with claims management about the claim on my car. After two weeks of hanging in limbo, I finally got a decision that they could not see any negligence on walmart by using the video cameras. He advised me that the picture was very grainy and he could not see any detail. Mr. Horton with claims management advised me that I could not have a copy of the video unless I had it subpoena into court. So what it boils down to is that they can screw up anything you have and claim there is no video evidence you can go back on to validate your complaint. Oh by the way the tire still leaks around the rim. I will have it taken care of somewhere else.

Excuse me, but isn't there supposed to be at least one person in the oil change section? In addition, a Hispanic male came to me and told me (after waiting all of this time) that he could not do my oil change because my plug was stripped and if he did, I would have to have my car towed and all of this crap! I guess I am a dumb female and I did not notice that he only had 15 min. to change my oil since I had been there for close (if not over) an hour and I had to be somewhere by 6. I left at 5:30 and still did not have my oil changed but a ton of worry about my car and its new problem.

I will go and find out if this guy was lying to me which I am convinced that he was. This is ridiculous! It took me almost two hours to get nothing and the 4-wheel guy has all of the techs. This is the first time and last time I will visit this store for anything short of having to get an emergency tire or something. I have choices and it will not be this Service Dept. This led me to look at the other one and saw that there were chunks of the rim missing and it was all dented up (ruined). So I asked to speak to the manager and he checked it out totally agreeing that the damage was fresh. So on April 6, 2009, I brought in an estimate from two different car dealerships for Angela **. She said because it was over $300, it had to go to CMI, their claims department. That is when I had to deal with Bill. He was totally for it and thought it was legit, and then he took an interview and said he had to call Angela. That is when the crap started.

The next morning, he told me that it is being denied because the rims are old and that the machine there cannot do that damage. I have four statements from four different real mechanics that had seen the rims and all four of them told me the same thing. The kid that did the work didn't use the machine properly for aluminum alloy rims! To this, Angela lady said all four of these certified mechanics are wrong. I told her on the phone that I was just going to speak with an attorney. She said, "Well, we can settle this in customer complaints for $300 and you can run with it because we are not responsible." Now, tell me something, if they are not responsible, then why when I said lawyer did she come out and say we'll pay $300? My son had his oil changed at a local Walmart Tire and Lube about 1 month ago. He's a single dad and works at a steel mill to support his son and him, and he has gotten into the habit of wanting his oil changed every 3 months so his car will last him. He has a 03 Mustang that he's making payments on and has never had an oil leak or the car never used a drop of oil and only has 80,000 miles on the car. He doesn't abuse the car; it’s his only means of transportation. Well, back to the complaint. He took it in about a month and a half ago to get the oil changed and they forgot to tighten the oil filter. He's been off work for a little over a month now, so he takes his son to school and here in PA, the last 2 months have been cold so he warms the car up before he drives his son to school.

Well, not expecting any problems because he just had the oil changed, he parks his car in the same spot everyday and why would you look under the car for oil, it never gave any problem before? One day, while he was at his mother’s house, he noticed his oil pressure gauge went to zero. So he checked his oil and it was empty; he had to put 4 1/2 quarts in the motor to bring it back up to full and it only holds 5 quarts! When he put the oil in, a friend of his told him that the oil was running out from the oil filter so he reached down and had to turn the filter 6 turns to get it snugged up and since then it hadn't dripped a drop of oil. Well, it wasn't long after that, the engine started knocking and he had a blown rod in the motor. He talked to the people at the tire and lube and they were Johnny on the spot out to his house taking all sorts of pictures and told him they will turn it over to their insurance company and they did.

Well, the insurance company asked him if he had the car diagnosed by a certified mechanic and he said yes. Then they asked him if he found blowback and he said he didn't know that question. The mechanic just told him the rod was bad. The insurance company called the mechanic and he told them he didn't look under the car but there wasn't any blowback on the top of the motor so the insurance company told him that if there wasn't blowback, the claim’s denied. Well, no there was not much oil on the engine but there was oil between the oil filter and the oil pan but it wasn't covering the entire bottom of the car so that’s a ground to deny the claim. What a crock, and a real lame reason to boot, and the oil was in his driveway from idling it to warm it up before school. But oil in the driveway didn’t matter to their insurance company if there’s no blowback! So he's in the process of having a motor installed and paying over 1000 dollars because he changes his oil regularly and warms up his car.

I sure wish I had found this site before he got his oil changed but you figure when you’re not having problems and before an oil change you shouldn't have problems when a so-called professional change it and you pay good money to get it done right! He went from having a car with 80,000 miles on it that never leaked a drop of oil since he's had it in 2 years, to having a blown motor and no forms of transportation to even get groceries. And where he lives, there's no close stores or buses to just get around. As much as I hate to say it, he had a good point when he said he was kinda glad it happened while he was laid off but he really didn't have the cash to fix something he didn't break. So it definitely has put a financial hardship on him but he's a good kid and I feel he got a raw deal from their insurance company. He's trying to put this behind him but 1000 bucks today is a lot of money for a 29-year-old who's raising a 9-year-old son on his own.

At approximately 2:00 pm on March 4th, 2009, my car started to vibrate and I immediately thought maybe it was a bearing on the driver’s side. I called a few mechanics and mimicked the sound I was getting and they said the same thing that I thought, that I would be fine until I could come in and see them. Being a single mother, I was waiting until payday to take it to a mechanic to get this changed.

On Saturday, April 11, 2009, I was driving out to my parents for Easter and the front driver's side wheel came right off my car and I crashed hard to the pavement with my 3-year old little girl in the car. I called for a tow truck, scared and very curious and upset about how my tire could just fall off. The tow truck driver retrieved the tire and lug nuts, which were strewn about the street. I was extremely grateful. Looking at the rim of the tire, we discovered that the tire wasn't even put on the car properly and the wear around each hole for the bolts to go through indicated as such - that the tire was not properly installed.

Therefore, because a Walmart employee did not take the time to check and make sure the tire was on properly before he torqued the lug nuts on, he put my daughter and my life in danger and has completely caused all damage that happened to my car because of his mistake. I stopped traffic while being stuck in the middle of the road due to my tire falling off. The damage to my car is estimated at $2200. The entire front quarter panel and fender are done and need to be replaced as well as the rocker panel. My tire rim needs to be replaced and the tow truck reimbursed as well as any physical liability that could have happened to my daughter or myself had I been on a busier street or highway. I think that the Tire and Lube center at Walmart in Cornwall, Ontario should pay.

Hopefully you can help. I had an oil change done at a Wal-Mart in Fredericksburg, VA. The technician did not remove the old oil filter gasket before installing the new oil filter. Early one morning on my way to work (about 10 days or so after I had the oil change done), all the oil leaked out of car. It started in my drive way (you can still see the oil trail down the driveway and onto the road in front of my house). I made it about 3 miles from my house, before the oil light came on. I pulled into a Shell Station and checked the oil. There was no oil, so I put 3 quarts back into the car, checked the oil again, and then started the car up. I backed up the car and saw a huge puddle of oil were the car was. So, I backed up the car into a parking spot and called AAA.

AAA towed my car to my mechanic. My mechanic checked over the car and found that the oil filter was installed wrong by Wal-Mart. I went to Wal-Mart and talked to the store manager **. I told him that the engine in my car was damaged and needs to be replaced. He told they would take care of it, for me to get some repair quotes (which I have) and they would file a claim to their insurance carrier.

The insurance carrier called and I spoke with Kerry **. I told him what happened and he asked me if I called Wal-Mart when I broke down (why would I call Wal-Mart at 5:30 in the morning to come look at my car?). I replied no. He said that since no one from Wal-Mart saw the oil filter before my mechanic replaced it, they are not liable for the damage, because my mechanic tampered with the evidence? I have the oil filter and the two gaskets. My mechanic drove my car two days prior to the incident to test the new brakes he put on it. There was no engine knocking/damage then. Is there any help you give to get this resolved? Thank you.

On April 6, 2009, I drove the car to school to register for summer semester classes and noticed a burning oil smell for a moment as I got out of the car but didn't check the engine at this point. Today, April 8, 2009, my husband noticed oil drops on the ground as I was leaving to go to class. Upon arriving at school, I noticed the burning oil smell again. But this time, smoke was coming out from under the hood. I opened the hood and saw the oil cap wedged between the engine and distributor valve covers. Oil had saturated everything and was pouring out of the top of the engine hole.

Additionally, the acid cap cover to the battery was also hanging open and acid had sloshed all over the battery. I had to drive across the street and add a quart of oil to the engine. I'm hoping the engine block is not damaged beyond repair. Tomorrow I'll be taking the car back to Walmart to address this issue. The next day, we were greeted at the door by the gentleman who said he was to call his manager when we got there. She comes out and immediately starts telling us how they were not going to fix the window because it had been broken when we brought it in. I started to explain how the window had been up when we left it and she rudely interrupted to say it didn’t matter. I then asked to speak to her supervisor. She made a phone call and then said to me, “you’ll recognize him, he’s about 6’4 and 280lbs as if she was trying to intimidate me or something. He comes down and again, immediately starts telling me they were not responsible for the window, that we should have told them there was a problem with it when we dropped it off. I asked why, they were only changing out the tires. He then said “it’s the law that when working on a car, the drivers window is to be down he quickly corrected that with “well, it’s not the law but it is standard procedure. I said we were not aware of that, it wasn’t posted anywhere, and why would we think they would need to roll the window down just to change the tires.? His reply was that they roll the window down in case they need to reach in and switch the car off while they are working on it. To which I said “why would the car need to be running, you were changing the tires? He then said “it just doesn’t matter, we are not fixing the window! I believe the automobile should be returned in the same condition, if not better, when it has been left at a shop. The window needs to be up, not only because it was winter, but also because Kevin has to be able to lock it when he is at school and also when he is at work. He has been having to find a ride to school, then to work, and another one home from work. That is three rides, every day! My question now is, would you like us to get a couple estimates before fixing it, take it back to your shop, or just send the bill for reimbursement after it’s fixed? My only comment is that the people you have in charge of your service department and the general manager of that store should take some lessons on “people skills from the gentleman that actually does the work. He dropped the car off on his way to school, locked it up and gave the keys to a Wal-Mart employee. When he returned to pick it up, the driver side window was down. I took my 2003 PT Cruiser in to have the oil changed and my tires balanced and rotated. When I left Walmart, I didn't notice two of the center wheel caps were missing. When I got home and noticed, I called right back to Walmart and spoke with Bud, who is a courteous employee. He said he would look and see if they were still in the shop area. I called him back and he said sorry they were not. The other two caps, by the way, were loose and had been put on incorrectly and were bent at the clasp. I think Walmart should buy me new caps. I did some research and they are $18 each. So, I would like them to either give me $72 plus tax or buy them and give them to me so my husband can do it correctly without bending the clasps. They damaged my car and I tried to offer this compromise:
Later we went to Okmulgee's Lincoln / Mercury dealer ship with Master Certified Mechanics, and lady quoted me an estimate of $1,400 - $1,500 to fix issues like mine. We decided instead to seek help from Strutmasters a suspension company manufacturer. We can get all needed parts for $370.00 and install of these parts for $225.00 vs. $602.14 for a compressor, $166.46 for a dryer, & $258.60 for each rear store damaged air bag which insurance has not even looked at yet. Mike & Shane at store 0121 in Okmulgee were shown where raising 88 Mark Vll without turning off car's air ride system over extended air springs in 1 spot each. Air bags alone cost more installed then Strutmaster's optional kit installed. Car is a Older Vintage Mark Vll, but we should of gotten another 3-4 years out of suspension if their was not excessive stress put on air bags. Air bags should not have even been a problem with time if they were not over extended when shop raised car with out turning off its air ride system in the trunk of car as store manager verified with security camera. Insurance before looking at damage offered $200.00 & we requested the cost of installation of new parts $225.00. Then if store could help off set the cost of parts with 2 new 225-60-16 rear tires, several 20-50 oil changes or rear brake job would help off set the $370.00 for parts. Any of theses things would help in off setting damage costs to Mark Vll. John's, assistant Mg., idea of using soap on air bags helped a lot. 2nd issue arose when John, store's assistant Manager said he wanted to tow my car to Shawnee to be checked for damage to air ride system. Car was taken before I could get back home from our local WalMart in Henryetta, and it was taken to Okmulgee's smaller shop vs. Shawnee shop unknown to me at that time.

The car is a 2002 PT Cruiser with 39,500 miles on it. I have never had any problems with it what so ever. The mechanic I took it to asked me if I ever had anything done with the transmission. I told him no. He stated that it has recently been worked on. I have had the car for over a year & a half now. This could be totally coincidenal. I dont know. But all the mechanics I have talked to about this problem find it rather odd. I even called Crystler & the man there told me that they have had so many cars brought to them after having the oil changed at Wal-mart & he would like to send Wal-mart a Christmas card for all the work they have given them.

The oil light immediately came on and then my car cut off. It would not start. I had my car towed to a friends house. Two days later I had my car towed to a mechanics shop. The mechanic looked at it and came back and told me there wasn't any oil in it and that had cause my motor to go out. I could not believe what he was telling me. I was furious. I called my mom and told her what the mechanic had told me. She then advised me to contact Walmart to make them aware of the situation.I talked to 3 different people. They all advised me to fill out a claim form. I did fill out a claim form but have not heard anything from anyone representing Walmart. We took our car a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer to Walmart for it's regular oil change and vehicle checkup. During the checkup it came to our attention that the transmission dipstick had been broken off and they could not check the fluid in the transmission. They said they did not do it and that it most likely happened the oil change before which was also at a Walmart.
At that time we ask Barry Byrd if it was okay to drive the vehicle and he said yes. One week later the transmission locked up and had to be towed to a transmission specialist who said the failure was do to lack of fluid in the transmission. We feel that in fact the dipstick was broke off at the previous oil change by a Walmart employee and he simply got rid of that part of the dipstick and signed off on the transmission to relieve himself of blame not telling us the the stick had been broken and unable to check the fluid. If he would have informed us of this issue it could have been solved with out the $2900 cost for a transmission rebuild. We filed a claim with CMI (Claims Management Inc.)Phone # 888-213-7534 (we dealt with a Barb there who was rude talked down to us and even called the mechanic at the transmission shop a liar and that the transmission had to have a leakage issue and she would have to deny the claim he explained to her that there were no leaks and it was a Walmart topping off issue. When CMI received the statements from the Walmart fluid checkers not mechanics (which barb at CMI called them) they had changed the statements made and told her that they never told us it was okay to drive the vehicle and did not recall placing blame on the previous Walmart oil change. We went to our Attorney's office on 2-27-09 and are in the process of suing Walmart and CMI. Please take our advice and never let Walmart fluid checkers touch your vehicle as the internet shows that they have more complaints than praises. This will be taken to the next level and will make it a life long goal to expose Walmart Automotive. We would love to start a class action suit against Walmart and CMI.If anyone reading this has had a problem with Walmart Automotive would like to join this class action please notify us at wholesaledirect@comcast.net as we have a attorney that would love to do it.

When I pointed out that they had in fact put that size on in the first place the manager told me that this was new policy per the district manager that they only go with manufacturer recommendations and they are willing to make it right if I buy 4 of the bigger tires. I told them to just put the tire on the rim since I had 2 brand new tires from a different tire company and to please do an oil change. This all took place at 11:25 am when I returned at 4:00pm I was told that they did not do the oil change because there was no oil on the dip stick. They said they had been trying to call me all afternoon. Which was not true since I had my phone with me all day but never received a call until 3:48. I paid for my new tire at a discounted rate and was highly upset. The girl behind the counter proceeded to mock me and the mechanic walked out of the bay door to laugh at me. I understand new policy and I understand that it was my fault that there was no oil in my car but to go out of their way to laugh and mock me was highly unnecessary. I recently called my local walmart center to purchase 2 new tires for my
truck as i always do. and since i bought the last 2 at walmart with no problems, i wanted to match the 2 that was already on the truck, so i called ahead to make sure they had the tires in stock and there would be no problems with me coming in today to have them mounted. I was assured by the person answering the phone, that there was no problem with that. So I arranged to drive to the store which is located in the next town over from where I live to get my new tires put on....wrong.. it seems as though walmart has a new rule which does not allow them to mount tires that differ from the sticker in your door jam. Now suppose that sticker was unreadable or they had changed the driver door of my truck??lol... truck is 1989 not new, not 4x4, not jacked-up.just plain passenger truck with Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that were installed by walmart 2-yrs.prior....they then wanted to sell me the tires that they said were made for my truck which were 225rh75-15 at a higher price than the wrangler tires. I'm pretty agrivated by this time and i'm thinking well this is just some one having a bad day and wants mine to be just as bad, so I decide not to buy the tires there and would go to another Walmart in another town to perhaps find someone in a better mood. Next Day I drive 100 miles over to next town with severl walmarts to find one who might possibly be able to sell me the 2 new tires that i wanted, Ha!!!.. I go into the service center and get into line with 3 other customers at the time wait approx...15min-20 min. not bad... to get my turn, the man was very polite and ask how he could help me today and I told him That I wished to buy 2 new tires to match the ones that were on the front of my truck and they were Wrangler 235r75-15. He said ok as he was checking his computor for the item to see that it was in stock... It was and he proceded to take my information..name/ address/ phone #/ email and color of the truck?? after another 20min.'s and 5 people in line behind me, he finally said ok and ask me where I wanted the new tires installed on my truck?? I told the man that i wanted them on the front and the older ones rotated to the rear, (this is the way i have always done for my vehicles and i,m 2 old to change now) anyway he then said again, you mean you want me to put the new tire on the front rims and move them to the rear of the truck? No sir, I want the new tires on the front of the truck please... Again, You mean you want me to put the new tires on the front rims and rotate one to the front and one to the rear of the truck.... I looked back at the people standing in line now going on, for what seemed like eeeeevver.....I then said to the man Who's on Second? I received pretty much a blank stare, like geeeeeee, How old are you really? Well anyway I once again said, I would please like the new tires on the front of the truck. [pause] i was really hoping he didn't ask me the same Question again... And much to my surprise he finally did'nt. He said, I'm sorry I can't put new tires on the front of your truck... I'm dumbfounded... You can't What???????? He said it again, I can't put new tires on the front of your truck. Ok, by now every one in line is looking very strangely, at both of us.. So I calmly asked the clerk Why he felt like he couldn't put new tires on the front of my truck?? he said its a Walmart rule.., that he can't sell me new tires for the front of my truck only the rear...so I asked him how they manage to just put new tires on the front when they sell you 4-tires?? All I got was its a WALMART RULE... So I then asked if i could just buy the tires and i would pay someone else to mount them... ok!!!, we finally reached an agreement... I did purchase 2 new Wrangler 235rh75-15 tires, that are still riding in the back of my truck, waiting to be mounted. However you must know this, I own other vehicles besides this one and have always purchased my tires this way and will continue to do so..it just won't be from Walmart ever again... I will be having new signs made saying, WALMART RULES...shop where you can buy quality service. Oh yes, (now keep in mind all of this had nothing to do with the tire size located in the door.) lamo / oops lmao, florida.

I took my 03 Volkswagen Jetta for a simple oil change earlier in the Fall of 2008. When I got my car back, it was running very rough. I returned to Wal-Mart and they had loosened a vacuum hose and disconnected a sensor. This was corrected and my car ran perfect. I thought this was just a fluke and would not happen again. Took my car in on 2/14/09 for another oil change and tire rotation. Got my car back and again it was running extremely rough. Returned to Wal-Mart (raising Cain and asking for the store manager who never showed) and again there were two hoses that had been loosened during my oil change. The technicians test drove my car and it is still running extremely rough and they couldn't find anything else that may have been disconnected. I received an apology and a $25 gift card. I thought maybe the culprit was a fouled spark plug. All spark plugs and wires have been replaced and my car still runs like crap. I even put fuel injector cleaner in it. I have an appointment with a Volkswagen dealership on 2/25 for them to find the hose or sensors that are still disconnected or repair damage Wal-Mart may have caused to my engine. I'm taking my receipt to Wal-Mart and I hope they have the decency to reimburse me. I will NOT darken their door again for groceries or any other necessities.

I am deeply offended he took that stance and had no right to say that. Therefore I feel that corporate should take a stance and train their so called management in the auto dept. I talked to the store mgr. and told him I would report this to corporate. I feel in this economy that they would not turn a customer away....Also to threaten to call 911 because he assumed I was drunk....noi I was not. I was pissed off because he assumed I was under the influence of alcohol. I am under the influence well I will contact my attorney and pursue this further.... I will not be insulted or accused of this. I have shoped in this store since it opened and will not and I repeat not shop there again. For someone to accuse a patron of walmart because I was going to talk to the store mgr. He was going to call 911. I think not. Word of mouth is everything......

The car did fine until on 2-10-09 I heard an AWLFUL noise in my engine. My husband got to looking in the engine to see what the awlful noise was and come to find out Walmart left my main oil cover off and it was stuck in my serpentine belt, grinding the side of the cover... Needless to say it totally frayed my belt. I went right to Walmart to see if they were gonna pay for me a new belt. Pete the Assistant manager of course said they would let there insurance handle it. We called the regional and district (Damian West) managers to try and find out some information and needless to say they still have not called me back. The insurance was denied and THEY said they found NO negligence in Walmarts part. I have spent alot of money at Walmart and I can tell you that I will never shop there again. They lost a loyal customer all because they're to greedy of a company to repair a $60.00 belt. I just want to get the word out to not let Walmart repair your car at all. BOYCOTT WALMART!!!

My wife took her toyota camry in for an oil change at walmart. The tech. came back and stated her battery post need to be cleaned. After cleaning her battery post, the tech attempted to start the car. The car would only idle when you pressed the gas pedel. When you turned the ignition off and restarted the car the motor was at fuel throttle without pressing the gas pedal. So the walmart associates decided the car needed a new battery. The problem still occured. Then they decided that a throttle pedal sensory had went bad. So they order the sensory and place it on the car the next day. The problem still was not fixed. After asking the desk clerk if the walmart techs were mechanics, i was informed they were not. So had to get the car towed to a local toyota dealership in which they discoverd the throttle body was locked up. The manager at the toyota dealership stated that the battery post at some point in time must have accidentally touch the opposite post. Thus causing the damage. This is a car that i have never had a problem with prior to this occurance.

I purchased a new Ford Focus and have been the sole owner since 2001. I have also used Wal-Mart for my tires since the cars purchase. However in the last few years, in my opinion, the tires have been of a low quality and have been unreliable and unsafe.
On January 26, 2007 I purchased 4 Douglas Xtra-Trac P185/65R14 tires. I had them installed; I also purchased the road hazard and lifetime balance and rotation. The tire wore evenly and still has plenty of tread on them. However in Feb/March of 2008 the car developed a violent shake. We pulled the car over and found a large bulge in the tire. We took the car to Wal-mart and they replaced the tire giving us a $13.00 pro-rated credit for the unused portion of the 45000 mile tire. On September 2008, The car again developed a similar violent shake again, however we could not find the cause, nor could the Wal-mart service technician (who did not drive the car; he just visually inspected the tires. The car set for two months because I believed the suspension needed replaced. In December the car still had a shake and I parked it again, waiting for money to fix the suspension. In January 2009 I took the car into a tire shop (Other than Wal-Mart) they informed me all the tires steel belts were separated. I am amazed at the poor quality of these tires. I was told by Wal-mart that they were 45000 miles, but barely got 30,000 miles on the when they started separating. I also am concerned that I purchased 4 new Douglas tires for my Girlfriends 2001 Saturn. I am very concerned that I had received such poor quality tires on my car, that I will replace hers also when I replace mine.

When they looked at the installed tires before they left the shop At Wallmart, they saw a bulge in one of them at the seam. They pointed it out to Wallmart before they left & the employee at Wallmart told them it was allright. (He said oh that't normal it's just a bulge at the seam; don,t worry.) They mistakenly took his word for it. If I would have been there I wouldn't have excepted it. But my wife & daughter trusted him. I don't drive her car so I never noticed it. reciently she had a slow leaking tire so I took it in for her to another Wallmart in Kalamazoo, located on West Maine to get it fixed. When they fixed it, they told me that another tire had a bulge in it at seam & it was dangerous & needed to be replaced. They looked up the information on the sales of the tires & the said there wasn't an extended warrantee placed on the tires. I called my wife & she said she knew about the bulge & the employee at Wallmart assured her that it was safe,& our daughter & also our son in law was present when he said this. I told them about this & he basically said how do we know she didn,t hit something? my wife drives a bus for a living & she used to drive an 18 wheeler for a living & she told him she never hit anything with her car & the bulge was there when she bought the tire. They told her that she couldn't prove that she didn't do the damage & they wouldn't replace the tire. I guess they're calling my wife, my daughter, & my son in law all liars. We can't afford to buy another tire right now. Is there anything we can do about this besides never going to Wallmart again? I wonder if Michellon tire Co. would make them replace the tire. It seems that Michellon would be interested in the series numbers on the defective tire; ( It's a law suite just waiting to happen.) I'm just sorry I told her that Michellon was one of the better tires. If they don't want to make it right, I wont be buying any more of their tires. I also wont advertise anything good about them. I'm thinking/hoping that Michellon will back me up on this. I would like to continue to buy their tires in the future; but I wont if they can't make this right. It seems like Wallmart would like to take this tire off the road & send it back to Michellons so they can do a re- call if they have to. All around the bulge it's starting to crack now. Thanks Ralph C. Brigance.

They told me they needed to see the video of my van having the oil changed. It cost me 3 times more at the dealership then it did at WalMart, but I almost burned up my van! All I asked WalMart was for the price of what I had to pay at the dealership. I wrote a letter to the powers that be at the corporate office and have yet to hear from them.

The car was working fine and this was just part of routine maintenance as we have a strict schedule to upkeep our extended warranty service. Upon arriving I saw a sign with a special for a Fuel Injection Service along with the Oil Change. The sign state that it would increase my gas mileage and decided to add it to my service. An hour after driving, the check engine light came on. My wife, Rebecca, immediately called Walmart and spoke to Atish, the Assistant Manager who explained that the fuel injection cleaning service can sometimes cause the O2 sensor to gum up as this happens with some of the newer cars. He said to drive it around a bit and to bring the car back to Walmart and they would clear the check engine light. My wife went in on 12/26/08, as Walmart was closed the previous day. They cleared the engine light. The check engine light came on again an hour later. We returned on 12/29/08 and the Bay Supervisor wrote on our invoice to take it to the Hyundai dealership to have them clear the sensor and they would pay for it. On 1/2/09, the dealer inspectected the vehicle and stated that the O2 sensor and the Catalytic Converter was completely ruined by the fuel injection service in the amount of $1579 in repairs. We took the Hyundai Dealership paperwork to another shop to have their top mechanic look at the paperwork and he confirmed that with the codes given on the paperwork he would have concluded the same thing. Walmart's insurance, Claim Management, Inc., is refusing to pay for the damage caused by their client. They have repeatedly stated that they are waiting on video from the service department and even hung up while on the phone with them. We have been without a car now for two weeks and it is putting a burden on our work. We now have a non-working car that we are still making monthly payments on.

On Sunday 12/18/08 I noticed a screw in the tread of the passenger front tire of my vehicle, and drove less than 5miles to store 2089 for a patch-plug. I was greeted and checked-in promptly and left my vehicle in their care. After ~1.5 hours I returned to pick it up. I paid, and then went outside to drive off but noticed the center cap of the affected wheel was missing. A closer look showed new damage to the outside center of the wheel consistient with having been dropped or laid down on the pavement, as well as circular grooves in the wheel metal from the tire mounting equipment. I imediately took several pictures, which I can provide. After re-entering the store and talking with the service staff, information for initiating or filing a claim was exchanged. However, no one was able to find the missing center cap until I personally walked over to the tire mounting machine and picked it up. Further, the affected tire-wheel was not re-balanced. I never recieved a straight answer why that was not done. As I live several hundered miles away and was only visiting locally, I needed to get back on the road. The affected wheel shook the entire vehicle all the way home. Additionally, I checked the tightness of lugnuts after 50miles, as indicated, and found the locking (keyed) lugnut to be only finger tight, at best. Coincidentally, all four wheels were inspected, balanced, and rotated just 2 days earlier at the local Honda dealership as part of an unrelated warranty service item. No damage or vibrations at that time.

It is a 2001 Monte Carlo SS and it was getting close to 100,000 miles. I want to keep my car for as long as possible because I love my car. I paid the extra money for the high mileage oil change only to find out after the fact that there isn't much of a difference between the high mileage oil change and the standard oil change even though there is a big difference in price. All of the oil changes performed by Walmart are standard oil changes. The same oil filter is used for all three options of oil changes they offer. However, they do not tell you that when selecting your services. It is not stated anywhere on their oil change selections. When complaining about this they told me they do not need to explain to their customers that the same type of oil filter is used no matter what oil change you select. I am sorry but if I am paying more for an upgraded service I expect all services to be upgraded not just the oil. The fuel injection cleaning is what caused the most damage to my car. The chemicals they used melted my catayltic converter. It took me several weeks to get a manager to talk to me about the issues with the services I received. When I finally got a manager to talk to I was passed to one manager after another, having to explain the situation over and over again. Walmart had their own mechaninc look at my car which I knew was not going to result in acknowledgement of Walmart being at fault. I filed a claim with Walmarts Tire and Lube insurance company and had a nonaffiliated mechanic look at my car. By this time more than a month has passed. I was set up with a woman by the name of Regina at the insurance company for Walmart. I talked to her several different times to give her the same information. I am not sure why she kept losing the information of the mechanic that I had my car checked at. Then on Christmas Eve I received a phone call from Regina stating that because it was over a month since the service was completed that she could not hold Walmart responsible for the damages to my car. She took her good old time investigating my claim, which I don't think she did, that it was too late and I was not being compensated for the damages that they caused to my car. Walmart purposely takes their time in the claims process so that they don't have to fix what they have broken.

Having bought a used 1998 Honda Accord in 2004, the first time we tried to change the oil was a big ordeal. We didn't have the right tools, but we ended up getting them and changed the oil in the car ourselves several times. The time came that we just didn't have the time to do it ourselves, so we decided to take it to WalMarts TLE the next several times. We moved to the England per military orders back in July 2008, and this past week tried to change the oil in the car. We got the oil filter off, then came the issue of getting the drain plug off. It would NOT come off. Upon further inspection, we saw that it had been tightened so much, and been destroyed by whoever at the WalMart TLE put it back on. After hours of trying to get it off, we finally gave up, and replaced the oil filter. Being that we live in England now, we can not simply take the car to a local WalMart, present our most recent receipt from the previous oil change, and say, fix it now. We also did not feel comfortable taking it to a local mechanic, considering that we are not sure how familiar an English mechanic would be with an American Honda Accord. My husband had to take it to the auto shop, on base after he had worked a full days work. The mechanic there helped him out, gave us a new drain plug, and said that there are countless people who just get their cars and decide to change the oil on their own. Then in a last ditch effort they end up taking it to the Auto Shop on base to get it done because WalMart TLE has done something to make it impossible to work on their car. I will never shop at a WalMart, or company owned by WalMart again. I have a history with them, having worked there for a combined total of about a year. The way they treat their associates is a direct representation of the respect the TLE employees give to your car. WalMart will be receiving a complain from me. It will be sent to the manager of the store in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the manager of the TLE department, and also the president of the WalMart corporation. However, I expect nothing in return, considering they could not keep their word when it came to my employment.

They are not helping me to resolve it. When I started talking to my friends and colleagues about this incident I was shocked. Most of them, who had gone to Wal-Mart once, never went back there. They never vacuum the vehicle. They never check tire pressure. Not sure if they do proper oil change, for our vehicle. We cant really believe them. They claim that they do battery, transmission, pressure etc check on the glossy print out, but in reality they do not do any. One of my friend claim they never ever check tire pressure. Another instance, I was here for oil change and a complete vehicle check? the alternator of the vehicle started giving problems same day after oil change at Wal-Mart. I had to tow my vehicle to pep boys, pay $400, to get it fixed. Am not 100% sure why this happened but the alternator warning indicator was on as soon as I picked up my vehicle. One of my friends asked for a battery change but they actually installed it the incorrect way and it caused damage. They were trying to get away but on regular insistence they relented and compensated him. Least I thought I can do is to warn others about my experiences.

However, when I picked up the tires, the price was $15 more per tire. I had an e-mail from Walmart.com that quoted the price I would pay, but this made no difference to the local store. Their price in the computer was $15/tire more than the Walmart.com price and they could not change it. Even if there is a price inmcrease during the few days it took to ship the tires and then for me to pick them up, the price quoted at the time of online sale should hold. This smells of scam.

Recently, I had my oil changed there and started hearing a funny noise. My friend noticed it as well. I took it to Meineke to be inspected and they told me that the motor went bad because what probably happened was that Wal-Mart had a couple of people working on it, drained the oil and started up the vehicle without any oil in it, causing severe damage to the motor. I called up and asked to speak to a Tire and Lube Manager, and Chuck answered. He told me it wasn't possible because they don't deal with the motor...hello, the oil has to be changed so in a sense they do! Then he told me that they better not be doing that. An hour and a half later I receive a call from Shawn (Service Manager) that they have a problem. He informs me that they locked my keys inside of my car and broke my front windshield. I immediately head over to investigate the problem and talk to Shawn. He informs me that while attempting to unlock my door they cracked my windshield while prying the doors back (he didn't mention the device) but appeared to be damaged by a crowbar. He takes me into the office to show me pictures of the damage that was done; at the time the only damage visible was to the windshield itself. Shawn tells me that he is going to give me the tire for free and to get an estimate on the windshield so that they could pay for it to be replaced. Upon arriving home I opened my door and noticed that there was alot more damage to the inside of the door itself. This prompted me to look at all of the doors to see if they attempted to break into my car on the others. It turns out that there was even more damage to the inside of the passenger door itself as well. I return to Wal-mart and tell Shawn that there was alot more damage then he actually said and that I need to speak to a manager. I explain the situation to Betsy (Assistant Manager) and we go outside to look and document the additional damage that was done to the car.
The damage is as follows: 1. Damage to driver side door - inside scratches and cuts, weather strip and inside door strip is ripped and torn and tint is scratched. 2. Damage to passenger side door - inside scratches, dents, weather strip is torn and tint is scratched. 3. Cracked windshield (about 6 inches) on passenger side door. 4. Scratch to rear passenger side door where some type of device was inserted. Betsy took pictures, wrote down the damage and signed and dated a paper she gave me and informed me that she would key the event into the system the same day. A few days later, I recieve a phone call from Walmarts insurance company by a man named Travis. He informs me that I need to get an estimate and fax it to him. I take my car into Expert Collision Repair in Salisbury, MD in which they quote the damage/labor at $1,890, and have it faxed to Travis. I contact him the same day and leave a message on his voicemail that I had the estimate faxed and am waiting for his response. I don't hear again from him until 2 days later in which he informs me that because the damage is over $1,500 dollars I have to get a second estimate. On 10/23/08 I take my car to Pohanka Collision Centers in Salisbury, MD for a second estimate in which they quote the damage/labor at $2626.68, and have it faxed to Travis. Travis calls me the same day and informs me that he will process the first estimate because it is lower and will mail a check out for the first estimate + 5 days to get a rental car at $35 per day. However, although quoted higher, the estimator at Pohanka Auto Body informed me that their repair/paint techniques would be better suited to repair my car to its original state.

I bought my car in for a oil change. The attendant told me it would take at least two to have it done. I was fine with that. What I wasn't fine with is when they finally got to my car, and this after waiting two hours, they told me that they had to decline the oil change. There absurd reason was that they couldn't remove the dip stick from the engine because it was broken off. That is true however I had repair it well enough to have the oil change until I was able to fine a new dip stick. What upset me was that they never made an effort to even attempt to remove the dip stick.

I saw the mechanics talking from the customers waiting area, and all of a sudden they were backing my car out of the service dock. The manager came in, and said they had to decline changing my oil because they wouldn't be able to measure how much they were putting back, or how short it would be. Again they didn't make a effort or apologize for the long wait, and the manager in that area didn't give a logical excuse to explain why they didn't make a effort. He abruptly went to the next customer, and forgot I was even there. Again a logical explanation would have me understand why no effort was made to change the oil.

I find this behavior totally unsatisfactory. I have had the oil change at another Wal-Mart before, and the mechanic that change that oil had no problem with changing it, and he was considerate enough to informed me that I needed to find a oil dip stick soon. Again this was poor, poor customer service. I said nothing to the manager or the attendant. I got my keys, and left. That's how upset I was about the service. I am totally disappointed in the services Wal-Mart rendered. I don't expect any type of discipline against the employees. I had to let some know that this type of behavior is unacceptable. They gave me a proration of $19 on new tire which was $50. The total came to $42 something with taxes, no tire balance. Nothing else was charged. I bought road hazard again on the new tire for $9.

Next week after this, I had another tire went flat. I took it to them and thought they would say the same about buying a new one and prorate it. When I go in there, they said they would not prorate and that I have to buy it at full price. I said, "Why? I had same thing last week with another tire." They said because the tire went bad because of alignment. I said, "How come you did not say that about the tire last week", because I bought all of them at the same time, and they all have been used the same.

Then I talked to their manager, who gave me a weird answer saying, that the first tire had a nail, that's why they did it. I can't understand. If it is a nail why wouldn't they fix it instead of making me buy a new one. And it is not true because with the first tire the mechanic told me that has to be replaced because it is worn out. I had to pay $76 with taxes on the second tire. Charged me full price, no proration and also charged tire balance which was not charged on the first one.

I cannot understand how they treat the same problem two different ways in a span of one week. I would agree with them if when I bought the first tire and they said it is b/c of alignment and you have to pay full price. But they did not. Second time they did. There is no consistency. I have been a regular Walmart customer but this incident has really hurt and attitude of the manager who cannot honor the same thing that her own colleague did a week ago and giving me a nail answer is ridiculous.

They put 5 quarts of oil in. They said the oil filter was leaking and when they had tried to remove the filter, they had to have stripped it. I had to go to a car dealer ship there in Concordia to get a filter - he removed the filter with a regular filter wrench. He said it does not take a special tool, the motor in the Saturn is the same as in a Chevy Cavalier. The filter was full of metal chunks. He said the motor would not last much longer it already was pinging.

It was over a 50 mile trip because i had to go through Benoit to get home because of a stop I needed to make there. On the way home the car started to lose power and make a knocking sound, I barely made it home. Since then we are down to one car. I have had to put off trying to find a job because we cannot do it with only one vehicle in such a rural area. This has put a very huge financial strain on us. The weekend before this happened, I took my son to college in Garden City KS, a 300-mile trip and the car did not use a drop of oil. The motor is ruined. Wal-Mart says they followed their protocol.

On October 03, 2008 this is what occurred. I called the Wal-Mart store to inquire about getting new tires. I was put on hold for several minutes each time. The 2nd time I called I was told that the manager of the dept Sandra was going to call me back and I left my # and name. She never called back and I called at 3:41 and Sandra still could not be found. I had to hang up because I was at work. When I got off work at 6:05PM, I drove to the location while on hold again. By the time I got to the store she picked up.

I told her that I was outside and would walk inside. I explained that I had come on Monday to get 3 tires for my car and they only had one tire of the brand that I wanted. They told me that I could check on Wednesday and they should have the tires in. I called on Wednesday and the tires were not there and there was no one that could tell me when they would be in. I simply wanted to know since the tires had not met its warranty of 60000 miles what could be done. She went outside with me and looked at the tires. I explained that the back driver tire had a slow leak in it and I had to put fix a flat in it to get home. She stated that they could take the tire off and remove the fix a flat and see if there was still a leak if so they would patch it and put the tire back on.

My main concern was what would be the effects of removing it from the tire. Would it cause problems with the tire? What would happen if it made the problem worse? I was told that was a chance that I would have to take. I explained that I think the tire should be replaced. Sandra refused to neither replace the tire nor look in the system to see how much they could even discount a tire since all my tires were bought from Wal-Mart and they had each purchase from that store in the system. I asked to speak with her store manager. I was told he was gone for today so I called and filed a complaint at 1-800-walmart while she went to get the assistant store manager (Deborah **) who proved to have no training on being a manager from her bad attitude.

She looked at the tire and then said that she was not going to allow them to take the tire off because I had fix a flat in it. She then asked me about my spare tire for my car and that I could have put that on the car and then brought the flat tire in to be replaced. (WHAT THE HELL) I thought that was a poor choice of statements to be used in this case. She lacked customer service skills and had no knowledge of the policies for the tire dept. Another comment that was made was “You have 90 days to return with a receipt.” She must have not known that that policy does not apply to tires. She also refused to look up the past tire purchases that were in the system because I did not have a receipt with me. The ironic thing was Sandra had just told me they could remove the fix a flat and patch the tire. So I don't understand why one person would tell me one thing and then I am then told they could not do anything.

I have never been treated so disrespectful by an individual in the tire dept until today. She started to talk over me and yell at me like I was not the customer. So I yelled back then, let her have a few choice words that fit her attitude. I then proceeded into the store to obtain the store manager and district manager info to make sure they know what kind of managers they had working for them and representing the store. The workers were tired and ready to go, so even if I could have gotten new tires it was going to be a rushed job. That is when mistakes happen that could cost me my life. I feel that I should have been treated as a valued customer and a solution should have been found to make me a happy customer. Not once did Deborah ** apologize or say anything about an alternative solution to the problem, she was just rude and wanted to argue to show she was the manager and to her I was nothing but a dissatisfied customer. I am going to be talking to the District Manager about the treatment that i received and will not let this rest.

got an oil change went about 7 miles down the road and oil light cvame on. I immediately called walmart they said bring it back in. I didnt even make it another 2 miles and my car died. then the temp went up after it died. Husband checked oil its too full, but none leaking out. walmart mechanics came to us, told me it was a temp gage or water pump they werent responsible. Well weve had those problems before in other vehicles and the temps go up before anything else. Now motor is locked up had to have it towed home and weve tried to find mechanic to see what they did and no one wants to get involved. Family car that was perfectly good running car also with brand new tires just sitting now. Very expensive to get a motor replaced.

I got an oil change at the above Wlamart tire and lube express in Nov 2007. Due to excessive oil (about 10 quarts were drained by my mechanic) I had to have my bvvehicle repaired because it was leaking and leaked into my timing belt. The total cost for repair was $597.

Walmart denied my claim because they siad I Spoiled the evidence by not showing them the damage prior to having it repaired. I didn't want the money but simply asked them to investigate the matter. Now since they denied my claim I am assuming that they will not do this investigation because they feel it wasn't their fault. not fair. please investigate.

bought 2 tires in 10/07, 2 more 12/07 viva 2, 60,000 mile warranty & road hazard. 6/08 & < 20,000 miles i get a flat. I put donut on take tire to wal-mart & am told they can't do anything about it, but they can rotate my tires. with a line of people & me having patients to see i took the tire to a local shop & paid $5 to have it plugged. 2 weeks later i develop a wobble, front drive tire has a indention across the width of the tire. the next day is flat. i put donut on take flat to walmart & am quoted a new tire price. when i questioned this, i have 60,000 mile warranty tires & road hazard. he tried to tell me i didn't have road hazard but i showed him the receipt (remembering that i paid for this thinking it was just a way to get more money) & then insisted the 60,000 mile warranty was not effective without the road hazard purchase. what kind of warranty is that?

i eventually convince the guy the tire should be prorated & was again charged 9.95 for road hazard. by this time i had been at wal mart for about 2hrs i left vowing to speak with a manager later. within 2 weeks i developed another flat. my fiance took the tire in paid $50 for a totally different brand tire , his goal was to have a good tire. 2 weeks later, i have 4 tires that seem to have a slow air leak, a wobble, & now the car feels like it is swaying. i will only drive it when i have to & not more than a few miles & not over 40.

i plan to phone wal mart in an attempt to get something done to correct this, i am a home health nurse & i spend many miles in my car. right now i am using our truck til my tires are right. on my receipt the tech recorded my mileage as 2 on another it was 5. this makes it impossible to prorate accurately. i would like my money back & i will go else where to buy my tires.

I asked my wife to take the SUV to Wal-Mart for a slow leaking tire. I thought that a plug that I had installed a couple of years ago was giving out. She called me at work to tell me that they told her that the tire had damage to the inside sidewall and could not be fixed and next I heard quotes for new tires. When I mentioned concern about mixing new a new tire with old, all of a sudden I was getting aquote for 4 tires. Hold on - if I hit something bad enough to damage a sidewall either my wife or I would have noticed. I told her to hold off until I investigated.

When I got home I found that there was a nail in the tire tread - easy enough to find with a chalk circle around it and a mark on the sidewall where to find it. There was no damage or deformity to the rest of the tire. I applied a plug (with a kit I had bought from walmart) and it cost me about 2 dollars, instead of the $500 Wal-Mart's tire experts wanted to charge me. In my opinion, this store is either incompetent or dishonest, or both.

No damage. I was suspicious of their tactics and din't get sucked in.
