In May 2011, I took my Toyota MR2 Spyder in for an oil change. Afterwards, our engine started making a clunking noise. We called Wal-Mart and advised them of the noise. They said it was normal after an oil change. We took the car to our mechanic, who pulled the engine apart to find they had started my engine without oil causing the bearing to shred. The mechanic wrote a report for the cause of damage.

We took the report from 2 mechanics to Wal-Mart. They filed a report with their insurance, which was declined. We have a bill for over $2000.00 to repair our engine along with the report and parts from the car. They are refusing to pay for it. We are filing a BBB complaint along with a letter to the attorney-general and will be plastering this over the media as much as possible. We're debating if we will be pursuing with an attorney or not.

Not that anyone cares, but I went to the tire center in Palmetto, FL last Sunday, 05/06/12, at 8:00 am. I was the first customer in the tire center for an oil change and tire rotation. At 10 after 9:00 am, I noticed that my car was still up on the oil change rack. I asked for the manager and asked what was the allotted time to change oil and rotate tires. He replied about half hour for oil, then rotate tires. I told him that I had been here for over an hour and they just finished changing the oil. The manager told me that Sundays were a problem. If he knows this, then fix the problem and not take it out on the customer. He completed my oil change but it seemed that they slowed down more, working on my car. I finally left the center at 10 to 10:00 am - not too happy.

On 11-18-11, I purchased a set of tires (265/70R16 GENGRAB STX; with life, whl, bal, and road hazard). After driving 5 miles from store #1801, it’s difficult to hold the car steady due to balance. I drove back to store #1801 and made them aware of issue. Store #1801 sent me to store #0896 because store #1801 has no high speed spin balance machine! Wow. Store #0896 looks at my issue, took a look, and said store #1801 miscalculated, but they can correct. This all happened on 11-18-11. On 12-31-2011, I began to have issues again. The car won’t hold steady due to balance. Store #0807 looked at my issue and commented it was store #0896 that has over-weighted the wheel and that’s the problem! Wow.

On 02-11-12, I returned to Store #0896 with the same issue (balance needed again). Their comment was my wheels must have been damaged. Store #0896 did do a rebalance, which was okay until 03-05-12. Wow, I'm not good with things at this point. On 03-05-12, store #1801 reviewed the issue and commented there’s way too many weight on the wheel balance (holds until 04-28-12). Store #1801 reviewed the issue again and commented it was much too light a weight for a Toyota Tundra 2004. These wheels came on the vehicle when it was purchased on 2004? Wow, excuse after excuse. On 5-01-12, I visited Discount Tire and paid $156.00 for a free replacement tire, lifetime spin balance, free rotation, and free tire repair. My auto now has no issue with balance and Discount Tire commented the wheel is not damaged. Please keep me a loyal Walmart customer! Please give me a store credit of $646.00 for my unpleasant issue with service and product.

I took my van to have a oil and filter change, and also a tire rotation and balance. This was Monday afternoon, 4/30. On Sat. 4/28, after the van had set overnight, I checked the oil level and it was about 1/8" off the top level. I did not drive it until taking it to Wal-Mart on 4/30, which is four miles. When your service man checked the oil, he stated that no oil showed on the dip stick, which I knew was not correct, as the van has never had to have oil added during my 3000 driving period. I have driven the van for over 6 years.

At the start of my driving experience 65 years ago, and working in a service station, I learned about oil, etc. and know that the engine did not use 4 quarts of oil going to Wal-Mart. I have heard of a scam that oil change services are doing this when a car is high mileage, 89800, so they are protected if something happens to the engine. I have driven the car several miles since the change and it hasn't used any oil. Needless to say, I will have to sacrifice my tire service, but will go elsewhere to have service in the future. I have used your service since purchasing the tires five years ago and found it satisfactory until now.

I was driving from Florida to Michigan and had a blow out on the trailer I was pulling. I installed the spare and proceeded to find a a new tire to replace the blown out one. I called the Walmart store in Valdosta, GA, waited on line for at least 5 minutes to get to talk to someone in the service department. I told him the size and grade of the tire I was looking for and he told me he had them and it was $76.00. I drove to the store and was greeted by an Anne **, who could not smile as if her life depended on it. She looked up the tire and told me it was $122.00 and I asked about the $76.00 tire. She said it was $122.00 and if I want it. I told her I would take it, but first I had to get the tire off the spare tire holder on the trailer. I asked if I could get help and she told me there are carts by my car and to put it in there and bring it to the first door.

I then asked if I could use a tire iron to get it off and she did get me one. After I got the tire off and to the first door, she was walking out of the department which not one customer was in and the shop techs were standing around talking to each other. She came back and took the information and informed me she was going on her brake. The tech did get the tire installed on the rim and told me to go pay the bill. I went to the cashier and was greeted with a "what do you want?" and then my name. He brought up the repair order number ** and started to bill it out and had trouble. Then one of the techs who worked on the tire came in and finished it up. He said it was $133.04, a far cry from $76.00. I paid him and he gave a copy of the bill. I asked if that was it and he said "yeah" and I said thank you and was met with a glare.

I went to get my tire and nothing was there. I then found it leaning up against the door. Still, no customers in the shop. I took it to install on the trailer rack and needed a tire iron. I went back in and the service tech came out and got me one. Not one word was said and he then disappeared. I know this is a long letter, but I wanted for you to know just how I was treated. All four of the people I dealt with seemed that they hated their jobs and I was just a bother to them. No wonder the shop was empty. This is the first letter I have ever written to complain about a service I have received. I just won't go back to the store and they lost a customer. At 70 years old, it has happened only a few times in my life. I am a very dissatisfied customer.

To be succinct, I own a 2009 Nissan Cube which has a CVT (continual variable transmission). It requires Nissan only CVT fluid. Before my trip to FL, I stopped at the Hinsdale, NH Walmart to have an oil change. When I drove away, the car started bucking between 2 to 3 on the tachometer. I finally brought the car to a Nissan dealer. The transmission fluid had been contaminated with regular fluid topped off at Wal-Mart. I incurred an additional $2,000 in room charges, meals, etc. because I was forced to stay while my transmission was completely replaced! I did have a warranty so that was covered, but because it had been contaminated, I had to convince them to cover. I have never had my car serviced anywhere else nor have I ever had transmission work done on this car. It was in perfect condition until that oil change. Obviously, the lube techs are not trained to read manuals or to check instructions before they start since one man yelled, "Hey, have you ever done an oil change on this before?" Outrageous.

I bought tires all the way around from Wal-Mart Tire and Lube in Georgetown, Texas about 2 years ago. The first tire blew out after a year. That was a couple months ago. The 2nd tire developed steel coming through, so I had to buy another one. I have had 2 tires replaced after the 1st set of tires. I am sorry that it made me very upset. Tires should last longer than a year. I think I paid $80 or $90 for each tire.

Your guy who was supposedly the manager was rude. I told him i will never come back and buy anything from Wal-Mart again, and I was an avid customer. He said, "Fine then. Don't come back." That is not called customer service. He works at the Georgetown Wal-Mart store in Georgetown, Texas on Rivery Blvd. He has always been rude. I really don't think you hire experienced people there. In fact, I am sure you don't know how low the wages you pay your associates. I am on a fixed income, and this was just another setback for me. And maybe, because I am a woman, they took advantage of me. I am 66 years old, and I am pretty sharp.

We purchased 4 new tires for my wife's 2005 Toyota Sienna on Sept. 16, 2008. We purchased Goodyear VIVA 2 and were told they came with a 60,000 mile warranty. We also purchased the "Wheel Balance for Life" from Wal-Mart. We rotated them per the instructions and on Feb 6, 2010, we were told, during an attempt to rotate the tires, the tread wear was uneven and they could not rotate the tires. At this time, the tires only had 13,904 miles on them. We were also told the tires had "dry-rotted" and they couldn't stand behind the warranty.

I have never heard of a two-year-old tire "dry rotting". After arguing with the mechanic, the service manager and the store manager, they agreed to replace the tire but didn't carry the Goodyear VIVA 2's anymore and only had two tires that matched that would fit our van. They stated they would call us when the other two tires came in. They never called us so I took the van back in and again argued with the manager about the remaining two tires. He not only told me they didn't have the two tires to match the ones they had already installed, but also that the ones they installed were not legal to install on my van due to the speed rating.

I demand four new tires and they again stated they only had two tires that matched that would fit my van. I demanded they find two more tires that do match since there are multiple Wal-Mart stores in the Charlotte metro area. They found a matching set but stated they didn't have a runner to go get them. Since the store was nearby, I told them I would be there in 10 minutes. The second Wal-Mart was in Matthews, NC and was very gracious and replaced the tires. Now, April 16, 2012, these tires have "uneven wear" at around 17,000 miles and Wal-Mart can't rotate them because there is not enough tread on them. I'm through with dealing with Wal-Mart. They continuously have excuses for not replacing tires and honoring warranties. I will not deal with them again for tires.

I decided to go to the Wal-Mart in Whitby to change my winter tires. They took an hour and a half just to tell me that they broke my tire pressure sensor. They said they will fix it for free and they will call me when the part arrives. It took 2 weeks to get the part and I finally made an appointment to get it fixed (after I called them). So I go back to get the one tire fixed. They tell me it will take up to one hour. Hour and a half goes by again and they tell me they broke the tire pressure sensor strap. After I told them I’m going to take my car to the dealer and have them billed, they offered to fix it the next day with a free oil change. It’s been 2 days since they "fixed" it. The tire pressure sensor light is still on. To be continued…

I brought 4 new tires from Walmart a year ago. I brought the car in today because of a nail punch through one of the tire. First, they can't find my record. I went back home and fetch the receipt. Then, they told me they won't replace it because I did not buy road hazard insurance. I was frustrated and just want to get it done, so I asked them for a new tire. Instead of paying $120 that I had paid before, they want to charge me $150 because the price went up. I told them Discount Tire was selling the same tire for $120 and requested a price match. The guy told me he never heard of it and they don't to that. There is a "lowest price guarantee" sign just right beside him. There is also the price match policy and policy regarding to competitor coupon, but the guy did not honor any of that.

I was beginning to get unhappy and decided to ask for the manager. He called the manager twice while I waited for 30 minutes. The manager never showed up. I am so angry that I decided to leave. I asked for the manager's name, but the guy didn't even know their manager's name. It is a very bad experience for me. I will never buy any tires or doing oil change at Walmart.

I bought tires and had balance mounting package. I drove the vehicle and discovered a shake in the truck. On 4/10/12, I took the truck in to Duncan Wal-Mart tire shop. There's mass confusion, and I told problem that I have a shake in the wheels but was not sure. I asked to please rotate and re-balance tires. So now, they took the truck and finished the job, and I am now the new proud owner of scratched aluminum wheels and lead wheel weight on my polished wheels which looks awful. No one there can agree on how to balance tires. And now, I have a large scratch on my wheel.

When I informed them of this, they denied it. I have paperwork to prove that! Wal-Mart is the only place that has done tire work on the truck. I'm very upset with the poor quality of work and lack of leadership, and they don't know how to read and follow instructions. I also had asked for a visual brake inspection, and it wasn't done.

Now, I returned to have the rotation and balancing redone, and I have to explain why I think I need it? I paid for a service; I am the customer. The job wasn't done right the first time, and now, I have scratches and awful-looking wheels. Oh and by the way, after the first time I went through a car wash, I lost a wheel weight. I have to return again for another balance. Wal-Mart employees should donate 2 new wheels to replace the scratched wheels they caused.

Loss of two center hubs of hubcaps after tire rotation & balance: On Tuesday, 4-3-12 I, took the Hyundai Accent to W-M store # 0070 in 798 W Service Rd, West Memphis, AR 72301 to have the tires rotated and balanced under warranty. On Wednesday, 4-4-12, the front driver side tire blew out. A hole on the inside sidewall was identified. When I changed the tire, I noticed the center hub of the hubcap was missing. At that time, I also discovered the rear passenger center hub of the hubcap was missing. I then returned to W-M and purchased 2 new tires, one to replace the blown tire and another to replace the most worn of the remaining three. The two new tires were installed on the front of the vehicle. At least one of the rear tires was also repositioned to accommodate this placement. I had a lengthy discussion with the automotive service manager ** regarding the two missing center hubs. His position was that the clips that hold the center hub in position wear out and that is why they just fall off. These center hubs have been removed and replaced exactly 4 times since I bought the car new. I’m 100% sure they didn’t wear out from being handled that few times.

He accepted no responsibility for the faulty installation of the center hubs and refused to reimburse me for the loss. He then canvased the service area and came up with a center hub. He told me that this was one that had fallen off another customer’s car and I could have it. This still left me one short. After the new tires were installed, I checked to see if the center hubs had been installed properly. **, the automotive manager, was there when I did the checking. I was able to flick off two of the remaining three hubs with my finger nail. It was obvious to everyone that for the second time in two days the hubs had not been installed properly. I would have lost them in a matter of a few hundred feet. A slight repositioning of the hubs and a moderate tap by the palm of my hand seated the hubs. ** witnessed all of this.

After this, on 4-4-12, I filled out a dispute with W-M. The W-M dispute number is **. Steve, from the W-M dispute center, a third-party company that handles W-M disputes, phoned me about 10:20 am on Saturday, 4-7-12, to discuss the dispute. I conveyed the above information to him. He told me he didn’t see any basis for a claim. He did not provide any reason or rationale for rejecting the claim. My position is that the service performed on my vehicle was performed carelessly, and thus causing the loss of two center hubs. These tires have been balanced and rotated three times previously by other Wal-Mart service centers and I have never had this problem.

Oil change gone bad - I stopped by the Walmart Supercenter in Durant, Oklahoma for an oil change. I was going to try to combine my lunch break with an oil change and decided to go to Walmart. I arrived and they took my information and I went into the store, my car was running as good as it did the day I drove it home from the Ford dealership. When I came back to pick up my car, they had it out of the bay and said it was dying on them and perhaps I had gotten some bad gas, and asked where I had bought my gas. I told them at Walmart in Hugo, Oklahoma, I had drove there on some business and the car was running fine. They recommended I buy some gas additive and I did, it did not help. The car would not pull out of the parking lot. I brought it back to the department and explained that it was not running, and they offered to call a tow truck.

I became very upset and told them I wanted my car running the same way it was when I brought it in. They looked and could not find anything wrong. Finally, I spoke with a manager and they agreed to tow it to a mechanic and have them see if Walmart had been responsible for it not running. I requested they take it to the Ford dealership, they declined and took it to a local mechanic who stated he thought it was a throttle body problem and recommended I take it to the Ford dealership since it would be covered by my warranty. The Ford dealership looked at it and reported that some debris from the air filter was disturbed and had entered the system and interrupted the air flow sensor.

I took the receipt to the Walmart and they said that technically, the technician did not do anything wrong and they were not liable for the ninety five dollars it took to have it repaired. I agreed that it was not intentional or an actual mistake but when they pulled the air filter out, debris entered the system and I felt I was being very reasonable because I was not asking for the day and a half of lost wages or reimbursement for someone having to drive over three hours to come get me and bring me back the next day to pick up my car, only for what it cost to put my car back in the running condition it was when they opened the hood. Is this too much to ask for?

After research, I found that 2007-2012 Honda CRVs are not intended to have the whole blade assembly replaced, only the blade! Now they have thrown away my old blade assembly and it will cost $40 for a new one. The second issue I had was I needed the fuel injection system cleaned—it’s a service they had done before. When I came back to get the car, they said they couldn't do it because the hose is connected by the factory and can't be removed. I told them they managed to do it before, so the let me look at it. I reached in, twisted and pulled and it came off. I'm a 60 year old woman. I was convenient to have service done while I shop, but they are too incompetent and my safety is at risk.

The tread looks fine, then I asked, “If I roll the tire in, can you change it? I have four complaints which I list as a warning on behalf of others. First, the advertised price was $6.00 more than the dealer's price just for Wal-Mart’s most basic service. Second, they charged an additional unadvertised $6.00 for the oil filter. Since when does the "oil change" service not include the filter in the base price? Third, the driver's side threshold was marred repeatedly with long black, greasy streaks that would not completely clean off. Fourth, the drain pan plug now leaks, indicating that it may have had the threads stripped during the Wal-Mart service process.

I recently went to the Cambridge, MN Walmart with my daughter to get an oil change on her 2010 Nitro. First, after the tech had checked something under the hood in the parking lot, he had to slam the hood about 3 times. The hood easily shuts by just letting of it, there was no need to slam the hood. We then proceeded to go shopping, after about 30-45 minutes, we received a page to go to TLE. Somehow, the tech had managed to break not just one sensor on her tires, but had broken two when they went to check the air pressure on her tires. This took place on a Sunday morning, so not many places to take a vehicle to get it repaired. Needless to say, my daughter did lose her temper and call them every name in the book. But if you are having trouble removing something from a customer's car, don't force it and if you break something, don't move on to the next item and break that also.

What is most annoying is their techs telling us that the valve stem covers were so badly corroded that they couldn't get them off when the vehicle had just had new tires and a sensor replaced just 3 moths earlier. According to our Tires Plus tech, there was no way that the valve stems would have corroded that bad and the Walmart techs would have had to use a wrench to break the valve stems. The cost to replace the valve stems, since they are the ones that read the air pressure will be around $300.00. Nice, huh? We have shopped at this Walmart for many years, but after continuously having problems or having their so-called associates not able to help, we have decided to do all our shopping at a Cub, Kohl's or Menards. I have been to many other Walmarts and this one has to have some of the most uncaring associates I have ever dealt with.

I will find a lawyer to run them through the dirt like they seem to want to do to every other customer that may have a situation with how they do things. Here's the funny part, the genius put the broken part back in the tire instead of handing it to me.

In June of 2011, I bought a set of tires from Walmart store 2575 in Conway Arkansas. I paid extra $10.00 per tire for road hazard. I also paid extra $7.50 per tire for lifetime rotating and balance. The tires I bought have a 65,000 mile warranty. I had taken my van in several times for oil change and tire rotation, the last time I carried in it, I was told that they would not rotate my tires because wire was showing on both of my front tires. I had them checked when I left there and no one could find any wire showing. I was also told that my warranty would cover a portion of the cost of replacing them. I was told that they would replace them for $90.00 per tire.

On March 1, 2012, I went to the store to have this done. I was left sitting in the line outside for 45 minutes, while they tried to get a manager out there. I finally had to call the store from my cell phone to ever get a manager to come out. When he did come out, he first started telling me that the managers were very busy and that they were not many of them. I told him that while sitting there for 45 minutes, there had been 3 cars drive off. He just shrugged and said, "oh well" like he could have cared less! He then told me that Walmart do not honor warranties, that I need to take that up with the tire company. I explained to him what all I had been told. He asked the name of the person who told me that. I told him I did not know, that it was the clerk working the counter in the tire and lube. His response was, "we all wear name tags!".

I told him I had paid extra for this warranty and he proceeded to tell me that no, I didn't because Walmart do not sell any kind of warranty. After taking an hour off of work, setting in line for 45 minutes, not only did he tell me he can't help me, I then find out they didn't even have the tire in stock! When I got home, I pulled my paperwork and it shows on my receipt that they are covered just as I had said.

On February 17, 2012 I went to have my oil changed at Wal-Mart. First of all, I must state that my vehicle was running great until Wal-Mart changed my oil. I thought I was doing a good thing by having my oil changed. Boy, I was wrong! As soon as I left Wal-Mart I noticed that my oil pressure was high and just assumed it was because it was very cold out, but then the closer I got to my home my temperature gauge started to spike. I waited a while once I got home and added a little bit of antifreeze, thinking that this was the problem. My Jeep continued to act up throughout the week, so I made an appointment to have my Jeep looked at a reputable garage, Midas. So this past Saturday I was headed to drop my Jeep off but my Jeep decided to overheat and leave me stranded at the bottom of the interstate ramp. Thank god I had my cell phone on me to call a tow truck--yes, a tow truck!

At this point I'm freezing as I wait for a tow and praying my Jeep can be easily repaired. Ha! Ha! I think not! Once Midas looked at my Jeep it was determined that I needed a new motor because oil was leaking from every place imaginable! I am extremely livid! I am not a rich person and I have already spent over $300 for a rental that I have to turn in this Saturday plus the $50 tow bill. I called the corporate customer service that then contacted the store that did the oil change on my Jeep and they said a manager would call me. I waited a few hours and never received a call. I ended up calling them and spoke to a manager that in turn said he would look at the work order and call me back.

I then received a call from Ashley ** and she said that I was to bring my bill to the store and they would file it with their insurance. I have my receipt from my oil change that I never signed (with their disclaimer that they are not liable for damages). I will be satisfied when Wal-Mart repairs my Jeep and refunds me the money that I have had to spend because of their neglect and the hardship they have place upon me!

One day after church, I looked at my tires and it look like my tires was rubbing up on my shocks. I took it back to Wal-Mart and the customer service was terrible besides one guy, Anthony. He was the only one that apologized. He offered to get me the correct size tires that would be smaller so he said I would get a refund but I had to come back because they were so busy.

So I did but when I came back, another guy was waiting on me and he said I would have to pay sales tax and the smaller tire was more than the bigger ones. I asked to speak to the manager and he was no help. They spoke outside of where I was. They put on the right size and the guy said, "No charge, sir." He didn't write me up any paper work so I left thinking that that would solve the problem but my vehicle was still making that sound. The next day, I spoke to the assistant manager, Mike, and he told me to go get a price on tire rod and ball joint. I did that. The next day, he was not there I left a message and he never got back with me. I also called back and the customer service was so bad I decided to do something like this.

Basically, she told me "too bad, so sad". I'm not sure what to do at this point. I went home and read my owner's manual on the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and I tried to reset it and the only tire that won't reset is the one that they fixed, I'm not sure what to do at this point. This is not the first time I have experienced bad customer service at this store. I have lived all over this country and been in a lot of Walmarts. He said to move my car from the line and park it in the spot. So I did, not knowing if he even worked there or who he was. Then I went inside to ask about oil change and the same man stood at the counter and just stared at me, looking at me and my son and did not even acknowledge us. He just stood there making us feel very uncomfortable. There was another male working there who was helping another customer, so I stood behind that gentleman to wait for someone to help me.

After about 10 minutes and he had helped another male customer who was there for the same thing, he was told it was a 15-minute wait. He then looks at me up and down and rolled his eyes and said, “So, can I help you?” because he didn’t see me standing there for 10 minutes. No one else was inside, so I felt he was being very prejudiced against me. After I asked for oil change he then says, “Well, it’s going to be 2 1/2 hours; we have a person ahead of you.” I said, “Ok, is that how long the wait is?” He replied, “Yes, right now. Yeah. Why, you can’t wait?” At that point I just walked away as I felt so disrespected by this person’s unprofessionalism. Worse customer service. And I didn’t get my oil changed.

Wal-Mart told me they couldn't do this, because it's again the law. They said that if I get pulled over, the cop will check my tires, and if the new tires are not in the back, they will make me go back and have them put the new tires on the back? My brother is a state cop, and he doesn't know of this law. How are you supposed to get your tires rotated, if you always have to have new tires in the back? Why do I want the new tires in the back, when I have a front wheel drive car? And now, I have to pay to have someone else rotate my tires.

Around 11:20, I finally asked them what was taking them so long. They said they had called my name, which isn't so, because I was listening for it, and besides, I don't know why they called my name, because the car still wasn't ready.

There really wasn't any communication and I asked the girl why it was taking so long. She went to check and when she came back, she never said anything. Also, at one point, I saw the mechanic take off the new winter tire and turn it around again. I asked the man in charge if they had put all the tires on wrong and had to redo them and he admitted they had.

They were all very pleasant and polite and did speak to me in English even, but never tried to accommodate me for my lost time. They could not answer why it took so long to install my tires. I even tried to speak to the manager at Walmart but the girl assured me that she would give him my message and I told her that they were giving Walmart a bad name. I will never go to Mr. Lube again for anything.

Furthermore, after over 2 hours, I finally left and came home and tried to call Mr. Lube to complain. But the recording said they were unable to accept the code and to go to their website, which I am doing now. It was impossible to try to talk to anyone about this problem. Thank you!

I called Wal-Mart after leaving in a snowstorm, to pick up my granddaughter, and Karen answered. She said bring it in. I brought it back the next opportunity, which was Sunday morning. I was met with a 2 hour wait, at the least. The manager put up a brick wall "that's our policy".

The assistant manager gave me the same line, and called the store manager, who tried to do the same thing. He finally gave in, and had the certified tech looked at my car. The new story was, "your car is old, and has high mileage and these things can go at any time", then it was, "probably the tie rod because my car is so old", then it was, "you drive a lot". Then they gave me an education on the tire wear on my wheels. I only went in for an oil change and a rotation. I will be having it checked by real professionals on Wednesday. I had no idea these people were not certified. Wal-Mart will get the bill. The certified tech said, "I don't want to say anything bad about my co-workers but...", then both managers looked at him, and he shut up.

Took my car in to get the front tires balanced. First of all, it was Sunday morning at 7am. They open at 7am. No one was there. Waited about 15 minutes when someone finally showed up. Even then it took another 30 minutes to set up shop. So almost an hour after they opened, they finally opened.

Asked to get the front tires balanced. Guy broke out his meter thing and read the tread depth. He said they can't balance them because it was below 5/32" of an inch. It's my understanding the minimum depth is 2/32". That's like 150% above the bare minimum.

So I asked to see Walmart's policy on balancing tires that state they won't do it if its under 5/32". Guess what, there is no policy or he just couldn't find it. All they wanted to do was sell me tires. Then the guy conceded and said he would do it. If that's the policy why would he do it then? I said no way! At that point, my confidence that they would do nothing increased 150%. They would just put it on the machine and not balance it to spite me.

I had to go into the city. I live 40 plus miles away. One block from Walmart I got a flat tire and went straight to the tire lube department because the tires were less than 3 months old and had road hazard on them. There I waited in line for 15 minutes. Finally, I got my turn and was told to go away, that they wouldn't help anyone else that day and it was 12:30 in the afternoon. I told them that I was stranded and a long way from home. I also had my mom with me and told them she couldn't be left stranded, had to be home to take her meds. She has had 2 strokes and a heart attack, and that I had to get home to get my grandson at school, who is a heart patient, has had 2 open heart operations and still needs more and can't be left alone. I live in the country where the closest neighbor is a half a mile away.

They didn't care and told me to come back tomorrow. I couldn't go anywhere and the tires were bought from Walmart along with the road hazard. They also said to come back after five and then they would decide if they would fix my tire. I had to be home by 3:30 to get my kid. The only other choice I had was to call my husband from work, which is 47 miles away from where I was stranded to come and help me. I had to wait for him to get there and take the tire to NTB to have it fixed and it cost me $22.19 to get it fixed. The worst part about it was after I pleaded with them to help me, they announced to the people in line that they would not help them. A man stepped forward and said he had a one o' clock appointment, to rotate his tires. They checked the computer and told him that his appointment was for 11:00AM that morning, that he missed his appointment. He said that it was at one, so they took his car right in and did it even though he had missed his appointment by more than 2 hours.

I was livid and my husband had to miss 4 hours of work to come and help me. Shame on Walmart for treating their customers that way. I couldn't get any help from anyone in the store. I told one employee what had happened and he just said that sounds about right for the tire and lube department and he hoped that I could get help from somewhere else, but offered no solutions. I couldn't find a manager to help me, the employees just ignored me and wouldn't help. Also, at tire and lube, they said they were down an employee because of a birth in the family. Not my problem, they should have brought in more help. They were very rude to everyone in line and the people who called in on the phone, they told them they didn't have time to talk to them and that they were busy on the register, to call back the next day.

The second lady came to the desk and the two of them started to pick at each other and stopped helping anyone in line. Most just walked away angry. I will never use Walmart tire and lube again. I will buy my tires somewhere else because I don't want to be treated like that again. They also told me that if I get a flat again, I need to make an appointment to get it fixed and to call in by 8AM to make an appointment. Like I really know when my car is going to get a flat and it wasn't late in the day when I did get a flat.

I went to your Wal-Mart store to set an appoint with me for two tires for my car. The first man looked up my information, and gave me an invoice for the tire for $77.00 a piece. They asked if I want the hazard insurance, and I said no, and he gave me an invoice for around $173.00. I can't remember the exact amount, because upon my return the next day at 7 AM, I was the first customer of the day, because I was told first come, first serve. I got out of my bed (I work night shifts and get off at 3AM). The lady in the store went over the invoice I was given, and passed it on to the man, to put the two tires on my car. A few second later, an older gentleman came to me to tell me that the tire was not the right size for my car, however he could put some on that was in stock for more than $100.00 a piece.

I asked if there were some in my size, 16 inch rather than the 15 inch that I had been quoted. He stated there was not. When telling the gentleman to put the tires back on the car, the lady that had helped me early came into the waiting area, and stated that she could get me tires that are better than the ones that I was going to get for $81.00 each, however she would have to order them, and they would be in that Friday. However, I informed them again that I worked nights, and would have someone bring my car on Saturday, to put the tires on the car. I became upset when I got my bill for $195.00 and some change. My son told me that he told Wal-Mart not to put anything on the bill that I had not authorized.

He said that I did not want the road hazard. At this point, because I have been a customer in your Wal-Mart tire department, I was never told that 3 months ago there is now a $6.50 each tire charge for a lifetime balance and rotation. Neither was my son told that this was a new charge that is now added, when purchasing tires for your Wal-Mart tire department. An extra $13.00, not counting $2.50 each for the tire stem, and $1.50 state tax, and another another $1.00 each tire fee, which totals to $81.00 each. I feel that you should make it a part of your service to tell people everything that is involved when purchasing the tires, not just the $81.00 per tire, but give them the choice if they want to pay $6.50 each for a lifetime balance, or go somewhere else, where you get this item free of choice with your oil change. Those $81.00 tires came out to be $91.75 each tire.

This is dishonest, and not a good business. I want the $13.00 back that I was never told, or given the option to say yes or no, and not wait until I come back and ask questions concerning the charges, and be told by a smart mouth that they could take the tire off, and refund me my money back, knowing the tires that was on my car was no longer around. I am very upset, and dissatisfied, and will tell all my lady friends to be ware of how you handle your women customers.

My wife took our car to this store to have a new tire put on. She and my daughter left it in service, while buying groceries. When they went to pick it up, one of the employees told her they could not replace the tire. He said that a person prior to them taking there had stripped all the lug nuts. This is not true. We have not changed the tire ourselves. The car ran without any noise to Wal-Mart. When my wife tried to drive the car home, the car made an awful metal type noise. I attempted to drive the car, but only had to back it out of the drive. I drove it back into the drive, and parked it. That is how bad the noise is.

I called the store, and asked to speak with the manager. I spoke with a manager named Gary. I explained what had happened. He said he would look at the videos and call me back. He called me back. He said that his video showed them putting a "torque" machine on the wheel, and all it did was turn. I am not sure what that meant. He then said the worker told him the tire was split. He said that was the noise we were hearing. I told Gary that was not true, and he should not start lying about the car. I told him I would call the lawyer he sees on TV (Morgan and Morgan) if I had to, but that I just wanted to be compensated for what damage was done. He abruptly wanted to end the call, and said goodbye.

I called back and asked for the manager that oversees all the managers. I got Gary again. I told him I asked for the overall manager. He told me the manager's name was Kurt Phillips, and he was not there. He told me he was the manager when Kurt is not there. I called Geico, and arranged to have the car towed to Jenkins Nissan early in the morning (Monday, 1/16 about 7 AM) to have the damage investigated, and hopefully repaired. The next morning, the tow arrived. The driver showed me how they had left the tire loose. He explained that the noise we heard was the tire wobbling on the studs. He told me that their shop could get me the tire, and fix the car cheaper than a dealer. I agreed to let them repair the car. The studs and lugs were replaced.

Today, I went to Wal-Mart. I spoke with the manager, Kurt. He first told me they did not work on the car, and were not going to reimburse me. He told me that his manager, Gary, told him they did not. He refused to look at the stud and lug that I took out of the box, and wanted him to look at. He told me to "get that out of his face". I was appalled. I asked him if he had looked at the video. He admitted he had not. I told him he should. I told him they should not have ever let my wife driven the car, as unsafe as it was, with the lugs loose. He told me they could not tell my wife not to drive the car. He finally said he would look at the video, and would call me back in an hour. He did. He told me that his employee first tried a torque, and then tried a lug wrench to get the lugs off. He told me that his employee spent 15 minutes on the car. He still refused to compensate me. They never did offer my wife an invoice, which I also believe, is against the auto repair law.

After leaving Wal-Mart, I took the lugs to the Nissan dealership on Highway 33 in Lakeland, and asked for the best professional opinion of how the studs and lug nuts could be in the shape they were in. Doug in service, another service writer and a mechanic, all told me the cause was from the wheel wobbling when my wife drove the car home. They pointed out how the lugs were worn from the inside, and had brown lines around the inside from where the tire had been hitting against the lugs. A picture I took of the rim, they pointed out, was worn in the middle from the wobbling as well. The shiny silver area of the studs was caused from the same thing. I am lucky my wife, grandson, and daughter made it home safe. This seems to be quite a bit to go through for such a small compensation. Please advise. My number is **. Please leave a message if you reach my voice mail. I am seeking $182.00, which is the cost for labor, and parts to replace the studs and lug nuts, plus an additional $150 for my time.

The claims rep is rude and trying to dis credit us all. Said WalMart employees carry flash lights and never tun on inside light and leave them on. It's on cameras in the garage . When he pulled my car with a flat tire into the garage, we had to tell him to put some air in the tire or the rim will be destroyed. Then when he was trying to start the car to pull it in, he could not see the key ignition ( the BMW is all black, leather) due to being dark outside. He turned on the inside lights and never turned them off. 3 hours later, the tire was replaced and the car would not start due to the battery.

I was recently asked as an expert witness in a case for around 15 million against Wal-Mart for tire separation that the manager missed on a car, blowout with death involved. Over the last 20 years tires have changed and so has the danger. The techs that change them have got to be trained and have knowledge.

My two man tire techs have 25 years between them. Wal-Mart will be out of the tire business in 10 years because of the difficulty of it. It is a very serious issue today. I personally know a manager of a large Wal-Mart in my area. He has told me they never make a profit in that department. Most people do not know the tires are contract tires not even in a Michelin or Goodyear tire guide these tires are made to Wal-Mart specs. They are treading on a very slippery slope. I am highly disappointed in the Wal-Mart Corporation! On December 27, 2012, I brought my car to Wal-Mart for a routine oil change. When the technicians completed the oil change, my car no longer started. The TLE staff stated that it wasn't their fault and there was nothing they could do for me. The next day I had to have my car towed to a mechanic ($111). The mechanic diagnosed the problem as having something to do with them setting off the anti-theft system in my ignition, but stated that we was unable to fix it. He was able to start the car and get it running long enough for me to drive it to another mechanic.

Due to the New Year's holiday weekend, my car was unable to be fixed until January 5th. The ignition (less than a year old) was damaged due to being turned too far and had to be replaced ($345). The incident occurred in Ash Flat, AR. I go to college and work in Oklahoma. By the time my car was fixed, I had missed 3 days of work ($174). I forwarded all receipts and information to the manager of the Ash Flat Wal-Mart. Several days later, he informed me that he still could not do anything, but that he would pass on the information to the claims department.

I was just informed that my claim has still been denied. I have asked for $630 because of Wal-Mart’s damage to my vehicle. The car and the ignition were in perfect working order when they drove it into their shop. After they touched my car, it was damaged. This is a problem. As an enormous corporation, $630 is not much of a loss to Wal-Mart. However, to me, a full time college student, $630 is a lot of money. This ordeal has caused a huge strain in my life. I am highly disappointed that Wal-Mart refuses to make right on this issue.

I went on Dec. 10th to have my oil changed and within two weeks, my car began smoking and my coolant level kept going down! I returned the car to Walmart and a "mechanic" came out to look at the damage I was reporting! He pulled the dipstick out of the engine and not much to my surprise, it was foamy, which meant to anybody with any car sense at all, that it was a blown head gasket! It was overfilled to begin with and they also denied any wrong doing! I submitted a claim to them on this and have yet to hear a word from them. I also submitted an estimate for repair for the damage, which was in excess of $1,200.00! Also when I came home after the "mechanic" looked at it, my car was smoking under the hood. When I opened the hood, I discovered he never put the dipstick back in and oil had sprayed all over the place under the hood!

I have never had a complaint about Walmart before but after my visit last night, I know I will not be returning to the automotive section again, I would rather take my chances at Canadian tire. Not only was he rude from the start but he was very unhelpful with any questions I had regarding my car. I asked for a simple tire rotation and said if there was any problem to call me on my cell phone as I would be in the mall waiting. Not only did I hear nothing for over an hour, when I finally went back he tells me that they were unable to do the tire rotation and instead of calling to inform me, let me wait over an hour. When I asked why he proceeded to tell me that I had hit the curb while driving really fast and i bent the rear axle so badly that my car was considered a write off it was so bad and the damages would cost me several hundred dollars.

When I took my car to my trusted mechanic, he told me there was no damage whatsoever and that all I needed was a new tire because it was loose and somewhat misshapen. I took it to another mechanic to confirm this opinion and he did. I understand that Walmart does not do mechanical repairs so I'm not sure why your staff is giving out false information. If he was not certain what the problem was or more likely since he is not a real mechanic, he should not have given me a false claim. Assuming that just because I look like someone who may not know anything about cars, does not mean I don't know anything about cars. I will never return to the Walmart automotive section because I don't need someone telling me not only is there something wrong with my car but that it's also a "write off". There was no need for his rudeness or his blatant lie and I found it extremely unprofessional.

We have oil spill all over the engine and garage floor. I am trying to sell my car, luckily I have only driving it once since the oil change. Actually, the person that discovered this big mistake was a prospect buyer. You can not imagine my embarrassment.

That person left without even test driving my car, we are afraid of damaging the engine. What is worse, is that this is the second time this happens to me. The first time Walmart forgot to put the oil cap back on my car was 2 years ago. I should have known better and not give them a second chance. Thirteen hours after contacting the store manager, I am still waiting on a call back. Now I am sitting at home with a big mess and no future buyers for my car. I think all the consumers that have similar problems with this company are entitled to more than just an oil change refund.

I brought my 2003 Saturn Ion into Walmart TLE for a basic oil change; work was completed in about 30 minutes and I immediately began my commute to work afterwards. When I got out of my car at work, I smelled burning oil, and when I popped my hood, sure enough there was oil everywhere. I was lucky enough to be able to make the 50/60 mile drive back to the Walmart where I had it serviced (Antioch, CA), and when the manager pops the hood to inspect it, he quickly finds that one of the technicians overfilled it and over-torqued my oil cap and broke it causing oil to spray around my engine compartment anytime it was pressurized. As of right now, I am sitting home without a car while they "try to find a replacement part", but I'm not confident that this is the only problem.

Not only did they mess up in the first place, but had they run a pressurization check (standard procedure for an oil change), they would have easily seen this problem. So they either did not run this check, ran the check, found the problem and tried to hide it, or they did a half ** job checking it and missed it completely. On top of all of this, they did not say a word to me when I picked up my car. hey just handed me my keys and sent me on my way, hoping that I wouldn't find the problem and link it to their poor service. I'm waiting for a return call from the TLE manager still (2 hrs and counting) and will be without a vehicle until they get back to me. So I'm without my car, out a day's pay from having to immediately leave work, and I strongly feel that there's probably something else wrong that they're not telling me about. They said they won't even clean the oil off my engine once the part is replaced too, what lazy ***.

As I disputed it, he told me to take it back to where I bought it from that it wasn't there problem. I explained it was their problem that it didn't leak until I brought it to them and that I had a Car Fax report from the dealer! The manager told me very rudely, “Ma'am, it’s not our problem,” and he walked away from me. I don't think I have ever been this upset with service ever. I will never go back there for anything and I spend a lot of money at Wal-Mart. I will never spend another dime there again.

I have to take my car to the dealer and have the problem corrected before something serious happens. This cost me more money and time. And nothing happens to the rude manager. Yesterday morning I woke up to a flat tire so we went to Wal-Mart to get it fixed which was a big mistake. First, we got there and they told us that there were two cars in front of us, that it would be about an hour. I wasn't pleased about that but what could I do. So, we did our shopping and came back an hour and a half later to find out that now there were three cars in front of me. How is that when it is to be on a first come first served basis? After that, I went outside to cool off and decided that I was going to check the spare tire and just put the spare on until another tire shop opened on Monday. It’s because I was not waiting another 2 hours for them to tell that there are now four cars in front of me.

I went back inside and asked for my keys. It was very convenient that one of the mechanics had them and was going to meet me out at the car after he found the air compressor to put air back in my tire. So when I got my keys, I was just able to get to the trunk when three workers started walking towards me. I came to find out that one of them backed into my car with a jeep cracking my bummer and pushing it in. Not one person said sorry until I talked to the manager about my damage. He was the only one who said sorry and he wasn't even the one who did it. We arrived at 3:30 and the repair on my tire was not completed until 6:38. If I would have been told the correct approximate time and if someone would have told about the damage to my car when it happened, then I wouldn't be so upset. But none of that happened.

I had a flat tire I needed fixed and had my insurance tow my car to Wal-Mart to get it repaired or replaced. I knew I had a road hazard warranty but knew it might not cover this situation and I found out my use of tire sealant voided the warranty. No big deal. I'll just bite the bullet and have them put on a new tire, right? Wrong. They handed me the keys and told me to get my car out of there.

When I asked to buy a new tire, they didn't tell me and had refused to put it on the rim. After they charged me, they just plopped the rimless tire in front of me and said goodbye. When I asked why they would not put on a new tire, they claimed my use of the popular tire sealant "Fix-A-Flat". They meant not just that my warranty was voided but that they would not replace it either, claiming the sealant in Fix-A-Flat was a "hazardous material". Didn't matter that none of it ever touched the rim. The leak was on the tread, on the outside.

They actually directed me to Discount Tire and told me to get a new rim before they would put it on my car. $102 later, I have the rim but after chatting with the very nice people at Discount Tire, I discovered their policies are not ridiculous, like Wal-Mart's. After explaining my situation, the man actually refunded my money for the rim and put the tire I purchased from Wal-Mart on my rim for a very small fee. He saved me over $100 and made my day.

Wal-Mart was rude and they left me in the cold with nowhere to go. If Discount Tire hadn't been nearby, I would have been stuck. I understand the voided warranty. I do, but their refusal to even put a new tire on the rim, avoiding my car as if it had been contaminated with nuclear waste, was absolutely ridiculous. It also shows how little they know of the subject of tires. The assertion that Fix-A-Flat is a hazardous material has been debunked. Wal-Mart is going to lose a lot of business over such ridiculous policies. Not to mention the rude staff.

I see bald tires, expired inspection stickers, broken sway bar links, worn out this, worn out that. The point is the last thing these cars need are oil changes. But we do them any way. We are not a registered repair shop. Some of these stories, like “I had my oil changed a few weeks ago and my engine blew up,” are nonsense. An engine will not run for a few weeks on no oil. Granted there are foul-ups here and there at Wal-Mart, but you can’t ** up any car with a simple oil change. There are cameras everywhere. A service writer can look up the date and time the car was serviced and review the tape. The customer will be taken care of if we are liable.

I spend at least $600 a month including grocery side. I know the prices better than they do. I have seen prices in grocery go up anywhere from 15 to 40 percent on some prices! I asked the management about this and he said we are still cheaper than our competition! All you need to do is check, see Breyers ice cream. It jumps back and forth 250 to 3.25 all the time. Same as Gwaltney bacon, there is a shocker - watch it. Eggs 18-count jumped higher than a jack rabbit. A gallon of Wally milk in past few months jumped from 239 to 3.49! I could tell you over 100 items that jumped also but takes too long. I took some tires to Wal-Mart to have services performed on them. While the tires and rims were in Wal-Mart’s possession, one of their employees dropped the rim. This was confirmed via security camera footage and by a verbal statement by an assistant manager named Charlie (female), who was in the TLE area at the time of the incident and heard the rim being dropped. I was in the waiting area with my sister, and we both heard the rim drop and witnessed the TLE employee picking the rim up off of the floor.

When my keys were returned and I had made payment, no mention was made of the dropped rim, and I didn’t think that it would be damaged because I do not know anything about cars and tires, etc. When I got home and my husband came outside to remove the rims and tires from our vehicle, he immediately saw that one rim was significantly damaged and looked like it had been dropped. His first question to me was did this rim get dropped. I, of course, told him yes, that it was dropped by a Wal-Mart employee, but they didn’t tell me it was damaged.

We immediately went back to Wal-Mart to discuss the matter. We didn’t want to wait because we wanted to get the rim replaced as soon as possible. Once there, we spoke with Charlie who at that time confirmed that she remembered me and my sister being there and hearing the loud banging noise of something being dropped. She told us that she would call us to let us know what we needed to do.

Long story short, it has now been almost two months since the start of this whole mess. I have done everything asked by both Wal-Mart and the insurance company. I was asked to get quotes of the replacement cost of the rim, which I did. Once the co-manager saw the amount, he was unwilling to settle outside of the insurance company and said that we would have to settle with the insurance company. I faxed the quote to the insurance company.

During a conversation with the adjuster, I was asked what I paid for the rims. I answered that this information was irrelevant because the fact is in order to replace this rim I am going to have to pay $970 for it.

Let me ask you, if I went to Wal-Mart right now and broke a $100 piece of cooking equipment, would I be charged $100 for it or would I be able to demand that Wal-Mart show me proof of what they paid for it and only pay that amount? And say that the cost has gone up since they originally bought that particular item, and instead of what they originally paid for it, it would now cost them $20 more to replace it—would I then still only pay the original purchase price, or the new purchase price, or the amount that Wal-Mart was going to sell the item for?

During this same conversation with Sue, I asked her what if I had only paid $100 for the rims. Her reply was that I would be reimbursed $100. However, that is hardly fair to me, the victim. This whole ordeal would have then cost me (in the instance of paying only $100 for the rim, which is not even close to what was actually paid) the $100 originally paid for the rim, the $20 that I paid Wal-Mart to damage my rim, and $870 to replace the rim. So I will end up paying a total of $990 for a rim that I did not damage and that Wal-Mart should rightfully replace.

Also during this conversation, after refusing to reveal the information regarding the amount that I paid for the rims, Sue told me that she needs either a receipt for the purchase cost of the rims or a written letter from me stating how much I paid for the rims because she needed it to take to her supervisor. I then asked her for her supervisor’s number which she would not give to me, saying that she would discuss this matter with her supervisor herself. I then asked for the name of her supervisor, which she relayed is **. And after asking for the last name, she relayed that to be **.

Moving on, I have done some research and found that the depreciation on tires and rims is about 30% per year. Since these rims are no older than 6 months, I think it is fair to depreciate them at a 15% rate. That would make the value of them right at about $825 each, which, as it happens, is what I paid for them. I am hoping that we can get this settled soon because it has gone on for more than long enough. Sue, our interactions have been mostly pleasant, and I understand that you are doing your job, but you also have to see my point. I have worked at Wal-Mart in the past and always shop at Wal-Mart, even now, with all of this going on. But there comes a time when you have to stand up for what’s right, and it is not right to make a person pay for something that is no fault of their own.

Even if we are able to settle at $825, I will still have to pay an additional $146 to replace this rim, which still leaves me feeling like I’m being punished for using Wal-Marts services. I don’t think I’ll make that mistake in the future. It just makes me sad that a person or company cannot admit when they have done something wrong and try to honestly fix the mistake. It seems integrity has vanished in today’s world. I now have a $4000 set of rims that are useless.

    Thank you for your time.

Second option: the person writing up the job should inform the customer of the price levels for each type of oil change and let the customer restate his request, if necessary.” Of course, the first option would be easiest as it requires no effort from the Wal-Mart employee. The second option requires Wal-Mart to put forth more effort toward providing good customer service, something Wal-Mart is not known for. The bottom line is that Wal-Mart is overcharging some customers for a service that those customers do not request. This enriches Wal-Mart's bottom line, but it is a deceptive practice that should end immediately.

I purchased a tire from Wal-Mart with 45,000 warranty on it, less than one week later the tire blew out and Wal-Mart would not honor the warranty. Nobody in there actually knew how to tell if it was a blow out or hit something and were so set on not honoring my warranty. They basically called me a liar. They are not professional at all, I went there the day before and they couldn't change my tire because the techs didn't know what they were doing. When I called an actual auto place and explained how my tire looked, they said, it sounds like it was a blow out. If you asked the people at the Wal-Mart who helped me what it would look like I can guarantee you they do not know unless they checked up on it since.

I filed a complaint two weeks ago and have been trying to get a hold of the manager who called me but twice the person at customer service didn't know how to transfer me and I got hung up on a few times. When I finally got a hold of the lady who called me, she tried to transfer me to the guy who didn't know what he was talking about, so I asked her if she can give me a number to call the tire company about them not honoring the warranty and she could not help me with that either.

On the 4th of November, I took my '02 Mountaineer in for its scheduled oil change. I picked it up a couple of hours later and noticed it was smelling like burnt oil. I pulled over and saw that oil had been spilled all over the side of the engine and into the alternator. I went back to the Wal-Mart in Manhattan, KS where I was informed that the guy was new and that they were cleaning it up. I got back in to drive off as they were closing for the eve and saw that my floor board was now filthy as well and it got oil on the seat and steering wheel.

I cleaned that up and we parked the vehicle until this weekend. We drove to the mother-in-laws, and then to visit family in Kansas City, then came home. 20 miles from Manhattan, the engine literally blew up. I've had an ASE mechanic look at it and there are two holes in the block. He pulled the filter to check it, he had to use a foot long pair of pipe pliers for leverage as it was severely over tightened. There was a dry gasket. Apparently, it was not wetted prior to install and the filter was less than a 1/3 full. I contacted the manager, they apologized and said the new guy made some mistakes. Then I filed my claim via their claims company. They in turn informed me that I must pay another mechanic to disassemble the engine to prove that Wal-Mart caused the damage. Something that several mechanics have informed me is next to impossible to do for several reasons. So now, I'm left with a beautiful piece of yard art that I have to spend $500 minimum for a tear down that Wal-Mart may decline to fix. I read that to mean most likely will decline. I'm fast losing my patience.

After 1 and 1/4 hours, they called me over the loudspeaker. They told me they only had 2 tires! I said I had called the day before to be sure they had them. I was told the computer now said they had 16, but they really only had two. It’s so frustrating. I told them to put on the next expensive tires since they had 4 of those. A day later, 3 tires were losing air and the fourth one was completely flat. Are you kidding me? Now I'm calling someone else to come and help.

I had been warned about Wal-Mart Tire Center. Plus, there was another customer in there that morning trying to warn people away. I should have listened and am kicking myself now. They made me wait for more than three hours and fifteen minutes at the store, as opposed to the promise of 90 minutes wait, and then offered me a solution that I should go home and forget about the bunch!

I entered the store at 9:35 am. After a short wait, my problem was registered and my key-bunch was taken from me. I was told that my car would be ready in about 90 minutes. When 90 minutes passed and I did not hear from them, I went to the reception to inquire about it. I heard them talking among themselves about some car's keys being lost. When I talked to them, they told me that they were unable to locate my car keys.

I experienced the worst kind of customer service in the following 90 minutes: I was kept in the dark about whether the keys have been found or not, or how long I might have to wait and I was not offered any word of apology. I was getting a severe headache from the mental stress and for having an empty stomach for a long time. My knees were hurting because I had to stand there most of the time since there was no adequate seating that has been provided in that area. I was feeling dizzy from not having any food for a long time.

So I asked them to give me a pager so that I can go inside the store and have some food. Within one minute of my leaving the reception area, they paged me back to offer a ridiculous solution. They told me that I should go back home, bring the spare key, get the service done, and just go back. At most they would made a duplicate key for me for the car. They did not offer me any ride home. They would not make duplicates of the other four keys in the bunch. And they offered nothing more than that, not even a word of apology! When they finally found the keys and got the service done, they offered me $10 in compensation!

My ordeal finally ended at 12:52. I had to wait three hours and fifteen minutes as opposed to the 90 minutes as originally promised. I got home with a severe headache, and had to either reschedule or cancel my activities for the day. I have never before experienced such cheap and unprofessional customer service.

These are small tires by today's pickup truck standards and 3 of the wheels had 4 ounces of weight on them and one had 6 ounces. Yes, 6 ounces all on the outside of the nice Ford factory alloy wheels. They used the wrong type of weights too that were not suitable for Ford wheels. I did not go back.

I took the truck to the nearest Ford dealer quick service department. On April 25th, 2011, I went to the Wal-Mart store at 2801 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana, to have a tire replaced that had been cut in a spree by an individual/individuals who was/were, apparently, unhappy about the outcome of a Purdue basketball game.

The tire that was placed on my car, however, had a slow, steady leak that got worse with time. I took my car to the Wal-Mart store that is on Commerce Drive in Lafayette, Indiana, at that time and stopped in to have it checked. I was informed at that time that it was a faulty valve stem which they attempted to charge me $15 dollars for (I successfully argued that if it was a faulty valve stem or if it was incorrectly installed that I should not have to cover that expense). This did not correct the problem so I took it back, again, and was told, again, that it was yet another faulty valve stem which they, again, replaced at no cost.

Once again this did not fix the problem and the tire went nearly flat as I was en route to an appointment at the VA hospital in Danville, Illinois. I was able to stop the car without damaging the tire as it still had 15lbs of pressure when I removed it from my car. I hurriedly inspected the tire after Id removed it and found nothing apparent to be the cause.

I quickly installed my donut, went to my appointment (late) and then drove back to the Wal-Mart store on Commerce Drive, again, to attempt to get to the heart of this problem. It was at this time that the tech who had removed my tire from the rim twice by this time to replace the valve stems, informed me that I had picked a nail up in my sidewall, yet, contrary to their standard operating procedures, this tech failed to present me with my tire to show me this alleged nail and I did not contest that at the time as I just wanted my car to be right so I could get to where I needed to be as I was late, again, for an appointment because of this continuing problem.

Therefore, I had to buy yet another new tire. Only this new tire, also, would not hold air and I was eventually told by this same technician that my rim had developed rust around the valve stem area and that I needed a new rim something he failed to notice every other time. This tech, in order to replace the valve stem and discover the alleged rusted out nature of the area around my valve stem on the rim, once again removed the tire from the rim and, this time, tooled the area around the valve stem opening to eliminate the alleged rust, and if he didn't damage the bead the first or the second time he removed it to replace the valve stems he did so at this time (which I find dubious) or, more likely, he further exacerbated the problem as I was now putting air in its daily to get to where I needed to be.

When I returned to the Wal-Mart store on Commerce Drive, yet again, the technician that had mounted the tire and replaced the valve stems was not present. The tech that was present removed my tire so that it could be placed on my new rim and discovered that there was an installation error that had damaged the bead on my tire. Therefore, it wasn't the valve stems or the alleged rust that had allegedly developed near the valve stem. It was human error and/or outright negligence.

The tech that informed me it was the rust stipulated that he had removed that rust from around the valve stem area and patched it in a way that should allow it to hold air until such time as I was able to procure a new rim. However, upon inspection of the valve stem area of my old rim I discovered that there was not sufficient rust present to justify the technicians claim and it was a 70 mile round trip that took me to Monticello, Indiana, where I could find a good, used rim. All for a trip I didn't need to make, fuel I didn't need to burn, and a rim I apparently didn't need to buy.

So due to seeming incompetence at both Wal-Mart stores in this area, but chiefly due to the incompetence of the tech who repeatedly failed to diagnose the problem with my tire, and his repeated removal of my tire to replace valve stems that weren't the problem, and due to the fact that he seems to have lied to me to cover his mistakes, I had to buy a tire that I should not have had to buy, put 75 miles on my car to buy a rim I did not need, missed several doctor appointments, and had to deal with the uneasiness of driving a vehicle that might have a blowout at any time.

I now believe that there never was a nail in my tire as he failed to comply with what was/is standard operating procedures by showing me evidence that supported his claim, that he knew he had damaged my tire, and that he didn't want to own up to having damaged it to his superiors so he concocted this story that caused me to put these unnecessary miles on my car and caused me to buy a tire and a rim I did not need.

If this is true, and I have come to believe that it is, he also put what he knew to be a damaged tire back on my car to cover his mistakes and subsequently put me in a situation where I could have placed myself, my family/passengers, and other drivers at risk had I had a blow-out going down the highway. For this reason I feel as my personal safety and the safety of my passengers as well as others on the road was purposely placed in jeopardy simply because this individual didn't want to admit he screwed up.

Therefore I feel as though I have been violated by the automotive department at the Wal-Mart on Commerce Drive as this individual, essentially, purposely put his hand in my wallet by making a false claim that was made for no other reason than to keep him from appearing incompetent and caused me to eat the tire he damaged as well as a rim I did not need, and the fuel I didn't need to burn as well as the time I didn't need to waste enduring this entire fiasco.
This technician therefore, put his hand into my wallet for no good reason other than to cover for his ineptitude. Had I walked into Wal-Mart and put my hand in their wallet by trying to take something without paying for it I would have been prosecuted for theft. When I pointed this out to Ron (asst mgr, last name unknown as are all the others who work there as they refuse to supply this information) and explained to him that this is what I feel his employee had done to me, I told him that I expected that employee to be fired. He then proceeded to tell me that they would most certainly not fire him but rather would coach this technician so that this would not happen to anyone else.

This, also, has caused me to feel violated as I would have been prosecuted and his employee is going to be coached but then by acting as he did this employee did improve the bottom line for Wal-Mart so, apparently they see him as an asset. So they greet you in the front, and throw you to the wolves in the back.

I also find their offers of a $14, $40, and $50 gift cards insulting as I am out more than that and the money I was forced to spend at Wal-Mart (as well as several other unnecessary expenses) because of this less than professional individual, could have been spent anywhere, yet they wanted to compensate me in a way that would force me to spend my money at their stores.

This is wholly offensive to me. The actions of this technician, in all probability, knowingly placed myself and others in jeopardy by covering for his mistakes. Management then compounded this by refusing to discipline an employee that, essentially, stole from me - and then to be offered a $14, $40, and then $50 gift card rather than compensating me for my actual losses is also insulting and as far as I'm concerned is tantamount to adding insult to injury. For these reasons I am seeking the maximum this court allows for actual damages and for the maltreatment by both the technician and the actions of management who didn't seem to care that I had been ripped off.

Furthermore, since I feel this technician willfully covered his mistakes to keep from appearing inept, he stole from me and I would like to ask this court to recommend that he be prosecuted for theft, and since the manager, Ron, was made fully aware of my concerns about this and has flatly refused to discipline this individual I would also like to ask this court to extend that charge to him so that corporate Wal-Mart will get the message that when they rip off their customers that they will face the same kind of prosecution as I would if I had ripped them off.

Severed ties with my local Ford dealer earlier this year with whom we had done business since 1994. Then, I started taking my wife's car, a 2007 Ford Focus, for service to Walmart's Tire and Lube Express until I found a new dealer to do business with. The third time was definitely not a charm, this time around. Walmart's "certified" technicians negligently installed the wrong oil filter on the car.

Eleven days later, on a Friday afternoon, my wife was left stranded on a busy highway. Diagnosis: seized engine. Let me repeat that: seized engine. At the moment, I am in contact with Walmart's insurance carrier and by my experience so far, you would assume that I was the one who was at fault. The advice would be to check with a private shop, even if it's a little inconvenience to have your car serviced there, or switch brands and find a good dealer with knowledgeable salesmen and experienced shop. Run as far away from any Walmart Tire and Lube Express as you can because you could be next.

We were instructed to drive up to the bay and wait for a service advisor. He took down the information that he needed and drove the car into the bay. A second car was behind us. After sitting in the bay for approximately 30 minutes, someone finally started the oil change on our car. I noted that there were three techs present, and one of them was disappearing all the time. At the completion of the oil change, I went inside to pay and was advised that the system was locked up. The cashier was waiting for a supervisor to come, which took another 30 minutes. Our time of arrival was 9:00 a.m. and our time of departure was 10:30 a.m. I feel that this is absolutely poor customer service and I am not likely to do this again.

I went into Walmart today to have an oil change, left my car without worry and went in to do some shopping. Forty five minutes later, after I paid for the oil change, I walked to find my car with a puddle of oil under it, in the hood--there was oil all over the engine parts. I immediately took pictures and contacted the management (who was rude), then the corporate. Unable for them to drive the car, they pushed it back to the shop. After some looking, the supervisor said that they overfilled the gasket. Unable to fix it, my car is now going to be towed and going to be in the shop for I don't know how long. It is just ironic that a simple oil change left me without a car. Thanks, Walmart. I appreciate any legal advice because I am not paying for any of it. Thanks.

On September 7, 2011at 16:44:33, I took my flat tire to store 0112 to be repaired. After the repair, I was told I had to pay $12.84 for the MS State Fee, tire disposal and the purchase of a new road hazard warranty.

In every Walmart I've been to, it's clearly posted the only time you can purchase a road hazard warranty is at the time of purchase. The Road Hazard Warranty states: "Replacement under the Walmart Road Hazard Warranty will be pro-rated based on the percent of usable tread remaining and the current Walmart price. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and the tires mounted and balanced on the original vehicle and does not include tires dismounted from vehicle and remounted onto another vehicle. Note: If the original purchaser of the Road Hazard Warranty sells their vehicle, then the warranty is invalid."

The tire was put on new on July 2, 2011.The odometer reading was 14201. The odometer reading was 16291 on September 7, 2011. The warranty does not say anywhere that if the tire is replaced, the Road Hazard Warranty must be purchased. My problem is, I didn't go to Walmart to purchase a tire. The Warranty posted in your stores states clearly the only time you can purchase the Road Hazard Warranty is when you purchase the tire.

Why should I be forced to purchase a new road hazard warranty, if I want the coverage, when my visit was due to a road hazard? "Our pledge to you" does not reveal this is a charge that I would have to pay. I am the original purchaser, the tire is on the original car. The tire was not, nor has it ever been dismounted and placed on another vehicle. If I were to pay this charge, the warranty should state that.

The assistant manager Sharley whom I spoke with was trying to tell me, reading off the warranty, mind you, "This warranty only applies to the original purchase, not purchaser." She read it to me over and over. Purchase and Purchaser are two different things.

I was not in violation of the warranty. If Walmart wants to charge $10 for a road hazard replacement on the new tire, Walmart needs to take all the signs down in every store, the one that says the only time you have to pay is when you have a road hazard. That tire is covered under the manufacturer warranty, which means it didn't cost Walmart anything to replace the tire.

On the day of the incident, every person in the automotive area was talking about me among each other. "She should know she has to pay for the warranty if a new tire is put on " and "this is how we always did it." I was referred to by Sharley the assistant manager as "this lady" in a nasty way, instead of "a customer".

Bottom line, when a road hazard warranty does not tell me I have to pay for a new warranty coming to the store on a road hazard, it should be in your pledge. I was charged $10 which is not specified on the warranty.

I want my money back. I was in the store on this issue waiting for assistance for at least one hour. I'm a customer who spends at least $400 per month in your store, which includes grocery. Respect is a good thing when you encounter a problem or disagreement. Sharley walked away with an attitude from me after I said, OK, I will pay for the warranty and take it up with Walmart directly. The way I was talked about and treated on that day is not the vision Walmart employs.

Bottom line, If I'm in the store on the road hazard warranty, I shouldn't have to pay for a road hazard warranty when I come in Walmart with a road hazard.

At this time I asked if there was anyone even working. He said, "Oh, they're somewhere." I said how long does it take to do this and he replied "about 20 minutes. There isn't anyone here". There was one vehicle in the oil change bay. I was the only vehicle in the tire change bay. Fixing this problem included dismounting the tire, fixing the hole, remounting, balancing and installing the tire back on the truck. It shouldn't take too long, right?

Per the service order, I checked into Wal-Mart at 1:40 p.m. and checked out at 3:01 p.m. That's an hour and 21 minutes! I watched out through the window as the guy fixing it moved slower than a sloth. I couldn't believe this! The manager ended up finishing the job because he was moving too slow.

I took a vehicle to this facility one other time a few years back. I was leaving for a vacation and needed some last-minute stuff before driving five hours to my lake house. After an hour, the man said they're wrapping it up. Another hour went by. Then they kindly explained that he installed the wrong drain plug back into my oil pan and stripped it out. What? I was leaving for vacation and was now even further behind. They "fixed" it with a multi-fit plug, used a rubber grommet to seal. To cut to the chase, I drove to upstate NY and arrived to my lake house, only to find that I had leaked all of my oil out and there was nothing on the dip stick at all!

I will never take another vehicle to this place again!

I asked that they check all the fluids in my car as well. I get in the car and head to work that morning and they did not fill my washer fluid, which isn't a big deal, but when you pay for that, you expect them to do their job. Also, they marked on the receipt that I declined an air filter when I specifically requested a new air filter.

Within 5 days of the oil change, my motor blew up and what oil was in the car leaked all over the ground. I had to pay to have the car towed back home. This cost $364.00 not including tax, June 28, 2010 with 129082 on my odometer. Today, August 30, 2011, the sidewall on my left front tire was split by a road hazard. The mileage on my odometer was 147132. I put 18,000 miles on a 60,000 mile tire. They put a new tire on and promptly charged me $40.00; money I did not have. Nor, for liability reasons would they remount the old tire.

They have a policy after that if tread is worn a certain depth, they will prorate the tire and in this case, I probably used up one third of the tire. I have no beef with that. My problem is that no one told me before any service work was done and they presented me with a bill. Now, I'm driving on a spare that's in rough shape for the next three days. Walmart needs to reevaluate their view of ethics of doing work. The customer isn't informed and will cost them money. This is very dangerous that someone with such a lack of knowledge in automotive works in this department servicing vehicles.

As I was driving home to Middleburg, I noticed a different noise coming from the car and a shaking. I called from my cell and a man said that it was normal, just to drive and it will work itself out. I did, and when I got home, it was still doing the same thing.

I called again and was told to go to the Walmart in Middleburg and have them check it out. I went back out to Middleburg and spoke with a man named Joseph and he told me, after looking at the tires, that there was 5 pounds of pressure left out in each tire. He proceeded to help us out and was very professional and friendly and said that there are a lot of complaints that come out of the OP district. He filled the tires and we left.

Well, since that first day in Orange Park, the car has not run properly. I called three times to see if I could bring it in and each time they told me they were very busy and for me to call tomorrow. Well, fearing that something bad would happen to me and my daughter, I took it today to the Middleburg office and told them what was going on (Joseph was not there today) and after checking the car out, they told me that the Orange Park Walmart did not balance the tires at all! What the ** is going on? I cannot believe that we were screwed by these guys there. Was it because we were females or the fact that it was a lifetime warranty and they did not give a **? Please tell me, I'd love to know. For such a reputable company as Walmart, I find this completely unacceptable. Had we got hurt, what would have happened then?

I knew I needed a front end alignment and was told that by them that not doing what they were supposed to do, it made my car worse. What am I supposed to do now? I cannot afford a front end alignment right now and I am scared for me and my daughter to drive in case something happens.

When all of this occurred the same day, I phoned the manager of the OP office and told him what had happened and he apologized over and over and said that it was unprofessional and he would speak with the technician. I let it go, until today, when I was told that they had no regard for our safety. Our family has spent a boatload of money at Walmart over the past 20 years and to have this happen to me is sad and disappointing. I am sure we will find another place to shop after this. They finally paged me after two hours of waiting to tell me this, and they handed me my old TPMS. I was told that if I will go buy one, they will install it. Not knowing it would cost $146.00 from Toyota, I said, “OK”. I went to pick it up, and I had Toyota install it. I went to Wal-Mart for my life time rotate and balance for 8-10-2011. At this point, I got very upset; I started giving them a piece of my mind.

I finally got the manager, who said they would pay for the hub cap; I was instructed to go to a place called Hub Cap World, 20 miles away to get one. I was told they would pay for it. I told him we are not doing this again, and I wanted my truck fixed before I left. It is because they pulled this the last time and they never took care of it. I felt I should not drive half the 40 miles round trip to pick-up a used cap, when the dealership is 10 miles away and have them in stock. The manager then offered me money to leave, and fix it myself.

I took the 50 dollar offer, and drove to Toyota. In less than four miles down the road, the right front weight flew off, and hit the mirror. I got the hub cap which cost me $22.00, and I drove back to the store, to show them what happened, but before I did, I had the Toyota dealer look at it to see why. They had put the wrong weights for the aluminum wheels on the truck. The service manager at Toyota instructed me to return it, and have them see what happened.

I drove back to Wal-Mart with a broken mirror and all to have the service advisor take the truck in, and have their top mechanic look at it. Only to be told they used the wrong weights, and that was why it flew off (I already knew that). They said they are not responsible for the mirror since it was able to travel four miles of Turnpike Highway. I just gave up. It was now 4.5 hours in total, $5 for gas, $22.00 for hub cap and $126 for the mirror. I have decided to find a new tire center.

When I presented Walmart with the mechanic's findings, all I received were more attitudes and less than helpful employees! I filed a claim and got a call from a claims officer. She was worse than any of them! Her attitude was such that I did something wrong. She has her mind made up before she even heard my side of the story and what the mechanic said. She refused to even call and speak to the mechanic.

I am less than happy with Walmart and will never trust them to touch my car again. Their customer service has a lot to be desired and they have lost a customer in me!

I took the jeep to get my flat tire fixed. Ended up with a bad stud, and missing jeep cap for my rim.

Apparently, when putting on the one of the bolts with the air gun, they put it on sideways; so, it ruined the stud.

    What a nightmare.

Now my jeep cap is missing, and they say that they have to look at the video to see what happened to it. At 4 p.m. that afternoon, there were three guys in the shop and five people waiting. Then two of the guys disappeared for about an hour, and left the one guy there by himself. There was no supervision whatsoever, and to get a manager back there for any help is like pulling teeth!

What a disorganized environment. I should have known better. The last time I took my other jeep in for an oil change, the oil filter was loose and I lost a ton of oil before I realized it, as well as burning oil all over my engine!

    WHY DID I GO THERE?!

I gave my in-laws our minivan to drive, so they would have reliable transportation. I explained that the tires needed replacing. They decided to take it to our local Wal-Mart store. They are elderly, so the vehicle is mainly used to go to the grocery or to doctor appointments. Approximately three weeks after the tires were replaced we went to yard sales for Mother’s Day weekend. My father-in-law complained about the van "shaking". He said it had been doing that on and off, since replaced with new tires. It got rapidly worse; so, my brother-in-law decided to drive them home. We thought maybe a ball joint or something was going bad. I had the van checked out before giving it to them. The only thing that needed replacing was the tires. While driving them home, my brother-in-law said the shaking stopped, as long as he went slowly. Well, while going around a turn, the whole front wheel came off. They ended up in a ditch. No one was injured (thank you Lord), but we had to have it towed the rest of the way home.

The gentleman who towed the van explained that the whole wheel came off, and all the lug bolts went off with the tire too. He asked who in the world put the tires on. They didn't put the right torque on the bolts, and everyone was lucky they weren't injured. My mother-in-law called Wal-Mart and they told her to call on Monday to speak with the manager of that department. On Monday, she was told that "Bobby" wasn't in, and she has to call back Wednesday. On Wednesday, she was told "Bobby" was on vacation and to call on Monday. She called on Monday, and Bobby told her to take pictures of the tire and damage to the van. She used up a whole roll!

I had to go with her to Wal-Mart to file the complaint because the van was in my name. That weekend we brought our camera to be developed, and was told by the lady in that department that another couple had been previously in the same issue! She said it was hard to believe that we are the second party of people who got the same issue at Wal-Mart in so short a time. I filed the complaint, and they submitted all the pictures. I asked Bobby what he thought of the situation. He said it was pretty cut and dry what happened, and that we should hear from their insurance within a couple of weeks. I informed him I was turning it into my insurance; I was told that it would cause more complications, and not to worry. Wal-Mart would take care of it. My mother-in-law said to please let Bobby take care of it. He was so nice and helpful, and she didn't want to cause more trouble. She just wanted the van fixed. They had been without transportation for two weeks already and Wal-Mart would fix this. I wasn't happy about it, but I relented.

Three weeks later, I still have not heard from their insurance. So, I took a day off to speak with our insurance agent. She tried calling Wal-Mart herself to see what they were doing about the problem. I left my insurance, and in short time I received a phone call from my in-laws stating that a Wal-Mart agent called, but refused to talk to them. The agent would only speak to me. She was upset because the fellow was very "brisk" with her, and seemed "not so nice".

I got the number from her, and called the not-so-nice person back. I was told that my van was a 2002 with over 100,000 miles on it. The result from the tire falling off was from wear and tear, and age. I asked how every bolt was broke off the vehicle from normal "wear and tear", and I told him I never heard of such a thing happening on any vehicles even older than the van! It’s a 2002 Ford Windstar; I see them all the time driving on the road, and never witnessed tires falling off before! Why was it not on the vehicle report we received when the tires were replaced? The mechanic would have surely seen a bunch of loose lug bolts while applying torque to put on the tires, right? They weren't even rusty, where they were wrenched off the van, when the tire went flying! It was solid steel in the lug bolts! They all just rusted right off AFTER the tires were replaced? He said in his not-so-nice way that the claim was denied, and it was the end of any discussion with him.

I have since had Two Guys Auto come out to look at the damages, and they quoted me over $3000 to fix it. The van still sat at my in-laws yard, where the tow truck left it. They badly need of getting the vehicle fixed. I really don't approve of suing happy people, but this is just crazy. We just wanted the van fixed. We were not trying to get rich. No one was injured, and we were grateful. Wal-Mart seemed to care less.

My wife took my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT to Walmart on Cortez Boulevard for an oil change because I was too busy to do it at that time. On the way back, she noticed a noise under the hood and told me about it when she got home. I checked and noticed the same noise. I immediately turned off the engine and called my brother who is a mechanic. He listened to the noise and checked the oil and noticed they overfilled the engine. Supposedly, too much oil causes it to produce foam and air instead of circulating to some parts of the engine which results in metal on metal and engine damage. So we called Walmart and they sent a mechanic who listened to the noise. He noticed a noise as well but he tried to downplay it as some sort of valve problem. I filed a claim with Walmart and I'm waiting for the personnel to contact me.

In the month of May I took my truck into Wal Mart on 3302 Se Military Dr San Antonio, TX 78223 (210) 337-1946 for an oil change. Shortly within 2 weeks I notice oil spills on my drive way, which I thought strange since my truck very seldom leaks.

A week later I went to get gas and decide to check my oil to my surprise I notice the oil level the dip stick to be very low. I added 2 quarts. A couple days later notice that my oil indicator on my instrument panel to jump around erratically. Check my oil level and it was low again. Again I added 3 quarts of oil. Decided that same day to get another quart of oil at advance auto parts and upon returning to my truck, noticed antifreeze fluid on the bottom of my truck.

The hose to my radiator cap came off which I believe was a result of overheating. Also notice that when engine is off my oil indicator was pointing to the far right which I thought strange since it should be in the low position. I decided to have my truck look at an auto repair shop (OZUNAS AUTOMATIVE 2802 S. Zaramora ph#210-922-0930) since the truck was also stalling and the check engine light was also coming on.

They lifted the truck and the mechanic noticed the oil leak and also noticed a hole on the side of the oil filter. He speculauated that when I got the oil change at Wal-Mart that when the filter was installed that it was shorted off a battery cable underneath the truck that caused a hole on the side of the filter.
They replaced the filter and refilled the oil and I asked for the filter so that I could take it back to Wal-mart. I spoke with the service manager and explained the situation and the service manager Ashley this was on July 5 2011. She offered another oil change at no charge which I accepted. I was hoping that this would be the end of the issue, however as of this date 7-6-2011 I had to take the truck in since I believe the damage has been done in that the

Truck kept stalling and cutting off which could have been as a result of the oil issue that was mention above.

I had to take my truck into Mccombs Ford West Service Department. Ph# 1-877-275-4857 or Local# 210-509-1000.To see if they can fix my problem with my Truck. The end result for this scenario is that I have been present with a bill of over $800. Dollars. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I submit this Bill to you in the Hopes of some sort of Reimbursement for my inconvience.

My family and I had a slow leak fixed about 2 months ago at the Wal Mart Tire Lube Express (southwest Austin). The tire was "fixed" and then started to leak again slowly. We brought it back to the store twice, but didnt stick around to wait, since the WAIT was quoted at "over two hours" (to fix a previous leak that they fixed originally).

We finally got "lucky" and came back to wal mart and after the girl checked our previous receipt, she said it would take 45 minutes (at the most) to check the tire and fix the leak. We agreed, since we had our original receipt and all associated paperwork from the first time they fixed the leak.

Since there was NO ONE in any of the garage bays and only two older ladies (in front of me in line) wanting a oil change, I thought that we would be done in less than 30 minutes. My wife, infant son and I went off to shop around the store.

we came back after 45 minutes and I noticed the lady that was in front of me in line(orginally) was finished and being rung up and she was leaving. I assumed that my car was next and would be done in a few minutes.

    I was wrong.

my car wasnt even in any of the bays and they told me "another 30 minutes", so I walked off and continued shopping, not getting TOO angry.........yet.

I came back in 30 minutes. Yes, you guessed it, car has not even been LOOKED AT yet.

I kept coming back every 30 minutes while so many other people came and went (getting oil changes or tires installed, etc)

we ultimately waited 2.5 HOURS for them to fix an existing leak (that they "fixed" previously a few months before).

We were waiting so LONG, that we had to go next door to get something to eat from a fast food chain, so that our infant son would stop crying, as he was starving (as we had to feed him SOMETHING, since it was already close to his bedtime and we live 45 minutes from wal mart). we dont even GO OUT TO EAT AT FAST FOOD, yet we were held hostage at wal mart due to their lazy behavior.

After we were being rung up (finally), the girl charged us AGAIN for the "flat fixing" and I had to correct her that it was a pre-existing problem that was fixed before. She ran to the garage to "checK" with the mechanic. I also showed her the receipt from when we had it fixed before. As she stared at the receipt (like she has never seen it before) and started talking to herself (mumbling), i thought maybe she was having a mental breakdown ? I had to continue to ask her what the TOTAL was since we get the tire fixed for free. She was insistent that she should charge us and I kept asking her what the total was...to break her out of her mumbling stupor. she finally took the 10 dollar charge off and told us

    "you are really lucky"

    my wife's response...

"yeah, we are really lucky that we were here for 2.5 hours waiting to get our flat tire fixed that you didnt fix RIGHT the first time"

the wal mart lady just stared at her.....

I guess from now on, Discount Tire has my business. They are far faster and far NICER than Wal mart.

On Friday, April 8, I took my car to the WalMart store located along **** just east of Davis, in North Richland Hills. As I paid before leaving, I was presented with a checklist which I was told I had to sign. This was something new. I'd been to this store, maybe a dozen times before and had never been asked to sign anything other than a receipt if paying with credit. I looked over the sheet before signing and saw that it was basically a checklist the mechanic had marked, next to a few items he recommended I have serviced. The only items marked were tire thread depth and the fact that my car was a half quart low on oil when it came in for service, I acknowledged both, signed the paper and went on my way. I drove straight from the store to a QuickTrip gas station on Davis, maybe 3-4 miles away. I noticed the smell of oil burning but dismissed it as often times I myself get a little on the headers when adding.

But once I stopped and was fueling, I saw a little smoke coming from underneath the car. I found this slightly alarming so I popped the hood. I saw no oil or even smoke coming from the engine area so I looked underneath the car. I saw several splotches of oil on the ground below the motor and could see where the smoke was coming from. It had leaked from somewhere, had blown up under the underside of the car, and was burning where it had contacted the exhaust pipe. I found it a bit odd that they had been so messy.

I'd never seen anything similar before in a dozen oil changes at this same store but a check of the dipstick showed that the level was fine. I paid for my gas and drove to work about 15 miles away in Grand Prairie. As I went along, I started smelling the oil burning again but I just assumed it was the residual, original spill still burning off the exhaust pipe. However, as I began to encounter stop signs and red lights, I started seeing smoke rising up next to my windows obviously coming from underneath.

At this point, I feared something was very wrong. However, I was close to work, where car-wise co-workers and tools are, so I drove the remaining few miles into my place of employment. By the time I rolled through the gate and onto the yard, smoke was billowing from underneath my car. I rolled to a stop but kept the motor running. A co-worker noticed the smoking and quickly came over. As I popped the hood, the first thing I did was check the dipstick. It was clean and dry. Then I looked underneath the car. The oil I'd seen leaking before wasn't residual from a messy job. It was the oil leaking out of the car outright. I lost nearly all of the oil in less than 20 miles.

To make matters worse, my mechanically-inclined co-worker pointed out a coolant leak from the seal where my distributor attaches to the side of the engine block which he said indicated a likely cracked head from intense heat due to the oil leaking out. He told me to shut the motor off before I did any more damage, so I did. We pushed the car to a corner of the yard and I immediately called the WalMart location that serviced the car. I got a manager who relayed my call to automotive. I told them of the situation and they said they'd send a technician out as soon as they could.

I informed them that my job takes me all over the DFW Metro and I had prior obligations in Sunnyvale, some 30-40 miles away, and would not be there when the mechanic showed up. They said this was not a problem and just to leave the car unlocked. I made sure the car was unlocked and left for my job. While working in Sunnyvale an hour or so later, I received a call from the WalMart technician who was at my car. He called to ask where the keys were so he could start the car. I told him the keys were with me and that I'd taken them because I didn't want to risk blowing my motor by starting it again.

Instead of telling me "Well, I need to see the car run or I cannot do an evaluation.", He simply said, "I'm going to put a quart of oil in here and see if I can tell where it's leaking from. I'll leave the rest of the oil next to your car. “I then asked him what he meant, to which he replied, "I brought four new quarts of oil with me.” I told him, "Okay", and hung up. I never heard from him again regarding the actual inspection of my car. When I returned to my place of employment's office, a co-worker ran up and told me the WalMart guy had said for me to try and start the engine that if it was knocking, that was bad and to shut it off. I thought this was kind of odd since he'd told me he was going to add just one quart to try and find a leak and leave the other three quarts bagged up next to my car. My first instinct, before starting the car, was to check the oil. It was well above full, meaning he'd basically just poured all the new oil into my car, and then left and did not do what he told me he was going to do.

After seeing he'd completely filled the car with oil, my next thought was to look for a leak. I looked underneath the car and stared for a good thirty seconds. There was no leak, nothing. I decided to try starting the car. Not five seconds after I turned the motor over, two streams of oil started pouring from the area where the oil filter is attached. I turned the car off and the leak immediately stopped. I showed this to 3 to 4 of my co-workers and my boss. The car only leaked oil when it was running and it leaked badly. Later that day, the technician who'd done the inspection called to say that it was now up to their insurance company to either approve or deny my claim and that I should hear from them by Monday. When the agent handling my claim called, he informed me that WalMart would not be held responsible because the technician's report stated that, ”the oil pan drain plug and oil filter were both tight and dry.” He also said that the technician mentioned that I had a severely deteriorated oil seal and that when he inspected my car, he could feel a space around the seal where the oil filter attached blaming it on the bad seal.

I immediately thought back to the waiver sheet. I was made to sign at the store. There was no mention of any deteriorated oil seal, let alone one bad enough to cause over 3 quarts of oil to spill out in less than 20 miles. I would assume that might've been a priority on a specification sheet I was made to sign, detailing the mechanical shortcomings of my automobile. When I threw this back at the agent, he told me without mincing words that basically I was **** because the report had been made by the technician had been officially submitted and the review was over. I then told the agent that no one from WalMart has actually seen the car running. The leak isn't happening when it's just sitting. Again, he used the ‘your claim has already been denied’ line. I had the car towed to a mechanic. My boss uses for a second opinion.

He called within a few hours and said, "I don't know what they did but as soon as I started this thing, oil just poured from the oil filter.” He also said there was a possibility that it could have been my oil seal blowing out but that it would be a hell of a coincidence if that was the case. He finally stated that to prove one way or another whether it was a bad seal on my car or a mistake made upon installation by WalMart. He'd have to take the filter off. I told him not to touch it and just tow it back to my place of employment.

So right there, I'm out $130 just in tow fees and I still have a leaking car that nobody from WalMart has seen run or will see run. And the filter they put on is still on the car and has not been touched since the guy installed it. So I called the location where the car was serviced again. I told them about the mechanic's report and asked that they send another technician out to see my car actually run. I told them to pick a day/time convenient for them and that I would adjust my schedule. I even went so far as to say if what their mechanic says is true, then they need only send a technician out to remove the oil filter which still hasn't been done to prove WalMart is not at fault. The manager agreed and then told me she'd call me back with a date/time.

I got a call back just a few minutes later, from the same manager, who informed me that since a claim had already been made or denied on the car, they wouldn't send out a technician for a second time. A friend of a friend sent us the names/numbers of a couple of regional WalMart managers and told us that we might have more luck going that route because WalMart doesn't like lawsuits especially public ones. We tired calling both managers, got the initial "Oh my God, we need to take care of that" urgency that I'd received from all the other WalMart people I'd spoken with since this all started but then received no reply after they promised to get back with us. My car remains on my employer's yard. The oil filter installed by WalMart on April 8 at 8:55 am is still on the car and has not been touched since that time. And whenever I start the car, it still leaks like crazy. WalMart refuses to send someone out to remove the filter to prove their innocence.

On March 16th he was driving in the Truckee CA area on Hwy 80 and felt a sudden bump in the rear of his car. He attempted to pull over right away and luckily there was a turn out for him to stop in. He got out of his car and the entire rear tire was shredded. The tread was literally off the rim of the tire.

AAA came out and put his spare on so he was able to safely drive home.

On April 1st (he was working previously and unable to bring the tire in earlier) we brought the tire into the Walmart where we purchased it and were immediately brushed off by the tech. He looked at the tire (did not even attempt to pull the tire out of my son's car so he could see the whole thing) and made a snap decision that my son must have driven on a flat tire and that is why the tread came off. Of course his first question was "did you buy the hazard warranty? " As soon as we said no, the attitude changed and he just shrugged and walked away.

We then requested to see the tire shop manager, who like the tech, did not even attempt to remove the tire from the back of the car to see it in its entirety. He took 2 seconds to say "no, we won't give you a new tire". When asked whether this should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty since the tire was only 3 months old, he brushed us off. Apparently the 25 year old tire manager has enough expertise to be able to just barely look at a tire and determine that it couldn't possibly be a defective tire.

He told us that my son must have run over something to make it do that. We inspected the tire ourselves and there is no hole in the circumference of the tire. So basically, according to the manager, something hit the rear tire at a horizontal angle (while my son was driving) which caused the rupture of the tire. Really? I don't know about you, but I have been driving for many years and have actually had to drive on a flat tire for a while, and never, ever has a tire done that. I have never seen a tire do that and have never heard of a tire doing that.

The manager just kept saying "you didn't buy the hazard warranty so we can't help you". We don't recall being asked about the hazard warranty when we purchased the tire; however, according to the manager, who apparently is privy to all conversations between sales reps and customers, that we were offered the hazard warranty. Regardless, with or without the hazard warranty, this tire should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

We then asked to speak to the store manager, who we were told, was on vacation. After many times of prompting, the tire manager offered to get an assistant manager. When the assistant manager Ysela (?) walked up, her demeanor was hostile. She in no way shape or form wanted to help us and acted put out that she even had to look at the tire.

We showed her the tire, and apparently she is also a tire expert, because without even touching it or attempting to remove it from the car to have it actually looked at, she said "no, we will not help you. You need to call 1-800-Walmart". I asked her again and again about the manufacturer's warranty because it was such a new tire and she brushed my question off. I can tell you by this time, our level of frustration was high. My son was extremely upset due to the way we were being treated. We were able to get another manager, Margo, to come out and once again, look at the tire but in no way attempted to get the tire removed to do a detailed inspection.

Time and time again we referenced the back of the work order that talks about Walmart's pledge to the customer. (see the back of your work order! ). Margo apparently had never read the verbiage on the back and even though we asked about that, we were brushed off.again. At no time did anyone answer our question about the manufacturer's warranty.

Why did no one even offer to provide us with the information so we could go to the manufacturer? After Margo's "inspection" of the tire we were told that the best they could do was give us 25% off a new tire.

I am adamant that this tire was defective. All I had to do when I got home was Google "Goodyear tire recall" and lo and behold,as of November, Goodyear has been silently recalling tires due to injuries and deaths caused by "Tread coming off the tire."

I would hope that your tire technicians would be up to date on tire recalls and not just assume that every tire that comes in with the tread off is due to road conditions.

Our family spends on average $1000 a month at Walmart. I am not just saying that, we really do. We love Walmart; we have always have had good experiences. I have family members who work for Walmart. I am very disappointed in the level of contempt that the employees of the tire department and the managerial staff treated us with. I personally have been in the customer service industry for over 25 years and I know what good customer service is and I absolutely will not tolerate poor customer service.

I want a resolution to this matter. I am not the type of person who complains, but I sincerely believe that the staff was rude, not helpful in any way and just wanted to get rid of us. I am prepared to take this to the next level if need be. I will not give up until we are given a refund for this tire. As you can guess, our level of confidence with Goodyear tires and Walmart at this time is low.

At no time was the tire removed to be inspected. The techs and the tire manager "poked it" a few times to come up with their diagnosis. Goodyear tires have been recalling tires due to the tread coming off the tires. I would like to think that Walmart wouldn't be selling recalled tires and I would assume that their tire techs would be aware of such defects in Goodyear tires and wouldn't just make a snap judgment without inspecting the tire in its entirety!

We are now dealing with the claims company and was told that because we didn't keep the tire for them to inspect, they will deny our claim, really?

Walmart had 4 opportunities to take the tire out and inspect it. We're waiting for the claims company to respond but next step will be seeking an attorney. Maybe this can turn into a class action lawsuit!

I refused to sign the paperwork but even returning the car to its original state as requested! I would not remove this "damming" paper work from file. I had someone plowed into my car as I pulled out. All they had to do was go into Walmart, get this paper work and use it against me.

I have had to dry clean two very large hand-made blankets so save hurt feeling. I was again treated like an idiot because I would not sign your "additional" after-service paper. Where it was signed, refused by them. I went from Walmart to a real tire shop and replaced the tire.

I want Walmart to come to my car at home, work, or school, identify the tire has been replaced, and amend the current pages that could be held against me. On April 6, 2011, I took my PT Cruiser in for a routine oil change--left it in automotive and proceeded to grocery shop. Within 10 minutes, an automotive employee came to find me in the store saying to me, "You are not gonna like this." And I said, "What's wrong?" He said, "Well, when you had your car taken in to Walmart in Florida, they cross-threaded the oil pan plug and now, we tried to take it off and destroyed your oil pan." I was shocked and went back to the automotive and a manager told me what they had done--accepting their negligence--and said that she was having my car towed to a mechanic up the street. I told her that I had dealings with that mechanic two years before and he had done shoddy work. I preferred that my car be taken to a reputable mechanic. She didn't listen to me and had my car towed to the said mechanic. I was given a loner car and I went home with a guarantee that they would call me when to pick it up!

The next morning, I received a call from Walmart that my car was ready and I could come pick it up. I drove there and waited in the automotive area. A lady came in with my keys and said it was done. I immediately went out to my car knowing that the mechanic had done shoddy work before and checked under my car. I saw three $0.50 piece circles of oil on the ground. I went to an employee in the automotive bay and asked if he would put my car on the rack and check to see if my car was leaking oil. He said yes and I entered my car. I started it and started to back out. Then, I heard all this loud rubbing and horrid noise. I drove it carefully to the bay with even louder noises and I jumped out and ran to the front of my car where the noise was coming from. OMG, my whole right side was pulled off my car. I immediately started crying and asked them to get the manager to look at it. She came out but said that it was done when I brought it in.

I said, "No, it wasn't. I have witnesses that it was not and your own paperwork shows that it was fine when I brought it in. She started making calls to the tow truck man and the mechanic. The mechanic said it was like that when he received it while the tow truck guy said that he would have to see it but wouldn't come down. The car was undrivable to take it to him--he never came down. I called my brother because I felt like everyone was beating up on me. He came down and got the manager Ms. ** to come in on it. She told me to go home and she said that the insurance man would call me first thing in the morning. I did so and the insurance man never called. I called him several times and I was always getting voice mail, which I left numerous messages. Finally, I knew that Walmart was trying to duck out of their responsibility and I was not going to get my car repaired.

I called my insurance company, Geico, and they immediately had it towed. The tow man from Geico's company said that the damage was done by the tow truck company because he had seen it before. So in between getting my car fixed, I tried to talk to Walmart's insurance adjustor and he gave me the run-around continually trying to say that it wasn't their fault. All I wanted was to get my reimbursement of $500 that I had to pay my insurance company to get my car fixed. But even my insurance company is giving me a run-around--the way it was left is they are all working on it but they keep acting like I am not getting reimbursement.

It's really sad that I went in to have a routine oil change and Walmart caused all this damage to my car. Even the tow company was paid by Walmart so the way I see it, Walmart is responsible. I'm in anguish with having to deal with all these hateful people. I am disabled and I have just learned that I have breast cancer. In fact, I found out that I have breast cancer the day they did the damage to my car.

I don't know anything about this and I still own a lot on the car so I brought it to Wal-Mart to have the tires put on. I know they are equipped to handle it. Well I brought these tires because I was fixing to take a road trip out to the desert, 3,000 miles round trip. Well they did a great job on the tires but when I received the service, they offered their other services. One of the options was an air filter and I figured why now it would help my gas mileage.

I'm about halfway through my trip, my car starts running really rough and my check engine light came on. I drove home and the next day I went up to Auto Zone to have the codes ran on my car. Half my intake sensors are fried, so i popped the hood and the intake hose that connects the intake to the air filter was not even connected! So I drove straight up to Wal-Mart and talked to the tire and lube manager. He toke pictures and wrote a report. The following day a claims representative contacted me and asked for my story. So I told her and I am still waiting on my call back.

About 6 months ago, we bought 4 new tires for my daughter's car at Walmart, paid for the whole works, tires, mount, balance etc etc. To make a long story short, I drove the car the other day and it was bouncing all over the road. The tires still look like new. We have another car that has Walmart tires on it and they have been terrible so I took my daughter's car to another tire place that I trust. They pulled the tires and 2 of them were out of round. As if that wasn't bad enough one of the 4 tires wasn't even the same brand or tread. We never changed any as the car just sits at her college and gets very little use.

I don't want to deal with those *** at Walmart again so I had the other tire place put on new tires and trash the Walmart brand. If you are smart do not buy tires at Walmart. Even if I'd taken them back, it would have been a real hassle and all they would do is pro-rate them to lock me into having to replace them with more Walmart tires.

Moral of the story: Go to who you trust even if it costs a bit more, it's worth it in the long run.

I bought 2 tires from the store to have them mounted in the Tire and Lube Department at Walmart on the front driver side of my 1993 Nissan truck. I had one lug nut missing out of 6 and my wife signed a paper before they could work on the truck so Walmart would not be responsible, which I fully understood. When they had finished, I went to the truck in the parking lot and noticed on the front driver side, which was the same one that had the missing lug. They had not tightened the five nuts on that wheel. With this being said, what could happen if I hadn’t noticed them by eye and drove off and the wheel came off?

Took it off the wheel, checked the wheel, put the tire back on and aired it up. Three days later, the tire was flat. Aired up the tire, put it in soapy water and took two days to find a needle sized hole in the sidewall. This was not caused by my moving the vehicle because of the position of the hole and no other damage noted. It had to be in the tire when I bought the tire. The ** say no coverage for replacement.

On August 28th, 2010 I took my car to Walmart for their $40 oil and lube service. This was to include a check of my front signal light, tail lights, third brake light, headlights, wiper blades, replace oil, check transmission fluid, power steering fluid, transfer case fluid and tire pressure as well as a vacuuming. Each of these items on my receipt is marked as checked or completed. My total for the day was $41.75.

I had taken the care there because they did in fact claim to check all of these items and I felt that a noise I was hearing in my front end was due to tire pressure. My receipt claims that each tire was inflated to a specifically noted 33 pounds of pressure in both the front and back. After noticing that the vacuuming had not been done (but not caring, that's not a big deal) I realized that the noise was still there, so I thought it may be a bigger problem and drove the car directly to my regular mechanic.

I let him know that I had just had this service and gave him the receipt. He verified for me that nothing other than the oil was touched/changed. No other fluid caps had any of the dirt disturbed on the caps. He could only see indication on the oil cap and pan of recent service. He also advised that my front tire had only 15 pounds of pressure and this was in fact the cause of the noise. I was further irritated by the fact that when I returned that afternoon to speak to Bob, the manger of Auto service, I was told that he would review tapes to see what was done and no matter what would get a call back to discuss the issue.

I am still waiting for that call. Consumers pay hard earned money for these services. I had to pay my mechanic one hour labor to review their work and fix my car. I did receive the oil and filter however I feel that Walmart should refund my cost of that day because of their negligence. Had they done what I paid for, I would not have had to pay a second mechanic to do it right. I do not have to shop at Walmart. I work outside of the town I live in and I can go to any other store. I still have the receipt.

I bought four Douglas tires for my car about four years ago and had to replace four tires with only 5,000 to 20,000 miles on them. Every year, I had to replace at least one of them that had a small puncture or slow leak and the last three tires, I get the same reason. Why do they make me buy a new one instead of fixing the leak which is covered under their road hazard warranty so I have to pay some of the cost of the tire?

They tell me that puncture is too close to the side wall to fix and it's the law so they have to sell me a new one which is prorated from the warranty because of tread wear. Now, I take care of my car and rotate the tires regularly. I do not drive hard and only put about 4,000 to 6,000 miles on them a year. So when complaining to the manager, they just say it's frustrating.

The tire balance/rotation was covered under my Wheel Balance Life warranty. After these services were performed, I was told that I need four new tires due to tire separation. I was then asked to sign a waiver regarding this. It is stressed that I needed four new tires immediately due to tire separation.

When I questioned how this could not be covered, since my tires were bought 09/09 and have less than 14,000 miles. It was then indicated that this tire separation was not under warranty because it was not a manufacturing defect but was caused by the poor alignment on my car. It was recommended that I take it to a full service shop to check my alignment. Of note, tread depth at purchase was 10/32 on all four tires. Tread depth at the time of the inspection (11/20/10) was 07/32 on all four tires. No one would address my question as to why alignment would cause separation to all four tires, especially because wear pattern was even and why this would not be covered under the tire warranty.

On 12/01/10, I took my car to Midas, located on xxxx *** ***, Tucson, AZ 85713 *** *** **** and it was noted that all four tires were fine, with no radial separation and that my car's alignment was to factory specification. They put these tire/alignment inspection observations in the notes on my invoice so I have documentation of their findings. I feel the Wal-Mart's recommendation to purchase four new was a ploy to get me to buy new tires and was not based on fact or any evidence of the tire inspection they performed. I will not return to Wal-Mart in the future because I no longer trust their workmanship or work ethics.

On August 25th, 2010, I brought my car to Wal-Mart Tire and Lube Store #2671 1175 S Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZ. Besides the oil change, I asked them to change the oil filter, the air filter, and to also change 2 tires, balance them. I want to clarify that my car was in perfect condition before I brought it to Wal-Mart. After around 2 hours they spent working on my car, they called me saying it was ready. I picked it up around 5 pm and drove home. On my way though, the light of the coolant on the front console start flashing. But as I lived 30 minutes from the store and I was almost arriving at my place, I decided not to return to the store immediately but to go home, call them, and ask them what they did with my car.

After waiting long minutes on an automatic machine, I finally could talk with the person in charge of the Tire and Lube store. He told me they just did what I asked them to do and that they didn't mess with the coolant system at all. As the store was closing soon, he asked me to go the next day to have my car checked. That afternoon after visual inspection under the hood, I could see that the coolant liquid was lower than usual.

The next day in the morning, I opened the hood again just to find out no coolant at all! Obviously, there was a leak somewhere. I didn't risk it to go all the way to Wal-Mart. So, I went around the corner to BigOTires. They found out that the upper radiator hose which connects the coolant with the radiator was broken and worst that it had been glued to provide a temporary solution.

I went mad and after paying 226.77 dollars for replacing the broken hose and adding new coolant, I went to Wal-Mart and put a claim. I complained on Wal-Mart broking the upper radiator hose, gluing it to provide a temporary solution, and not telling me what happened. It risked the life of my car's motor, not to mention my own life as this incident could lead to a sudden accident on the highway.

The weird misbehavior of Wal-Mart didn't end up there. I put a claim on August 26th, 2010. The person in charge, I believe his name is Dean **, told me that I should receive shortly a letter from Claims Management. After two weeks, I went back to Wal-Mart and complained about my claim. I didn't receive nor heard about it in 2 weeks. The person in charge checked the claim and just told me "I don't know why but something happened and it didn't go through. Let me try it again." I stayed calm and just told them to please understand my situation. I said the car was working perfectly before the oil change. The person changing the oil, the oil filter, and air filter may had stepped badly on the hose and after breaking it tried to glue it.

Anyway, the claim went through this time. After a couple of days, I received a letter on September 9th from Steven ** from "CMI, Claims Management, Inc. Respect Service Excellence". He took my case and told me he would ask Wal-Mart for the video of that day and revise it for any weird behavior of the workers under the hood. On October 8th, I received another letter from CMI from the case manager Steven **, saying that a decision concerning my claim had been taken. I called him and he just limited his time to tell me that my car was already 10 years old and that that could happen by chance. He added that he didn't need to ask for the video and just limited to ask Wal-Mart for a report on the case.

I tried to make my point on the fact that it is really suspicious that the car has been working perfectly and just after an oil change the radiator hose is broken and appeared to be glued. And especially "no way" I could have been driving the car in that condition over to Wal-Mart in the first instance. No positive answer regarding my claim came from Steven ** who stopped listening to my complaints. And in an impolite and unprofessional way, he tried to get rid of me on the phone by saying a couple of times "This conversation is over.” Now, the only thing that is left to me is to advice everyone out there to stop buying at Wal-Mart, not only for the bad quality of the products and services but also for the irresponsible behavior they show every day to their customers. I am not alone. There are plenty of these types of cases complaining against Wal-Mart. I just wish I had listened to them before.

On 11/22/2010, my wife placed my 1995 town and country van for tire rotation and balancing. As the Walmart employee brought the car back, he told my wife the driver door was not closing and he will try to help fix it free as he is a qualified tech. When he failed to do so, he claimed that the door hinge was broken before he received the car, which is not true. The door was normal when they drove the car for the job. Walmart referred our claim to their insurance. Next morning, a CNI person representing Walmart insurance contacted me and denied the responsibility. When I mentioned to him if I should seek help from my auto insurance, he said "if you do so, I will close the case" and he hung up! I took the car for a second opinion to someone, a friend of mine recommended, who worked for many years on antique and classic cars. His statement follows.

I am mostly retired now, but I have done body and mechanical work on antique and classic cars for many years including a lot of repair and alignment of doors. Mr. ** was referred to me by a mutual friend for examination of damage to his door. My findings are as follows: Initial inspection showed that the door would not close and that it was substantially misaligned. The reveal across the top of the door was normal at the hinged left of the door and proceeded to expand to just under three fourths of an inch at the latched right side of the door. The reveal down the latched side proceeded from a negative (overlap) sixteenth of an inch at the top right edge of the door to a spread of one half inch at the bottom right edge.

The door was obviously very much displaced downward at the latching side. It would have taken a great deal of force to do this. The door was not in any way loose or wobbly. It could not be manually displaced in any direction, up, down or racking side to side. The hinges were clean, fine and tight in every respect, exactly matching the condition of the hinges on the opposite (normal) door. I used power equipment, without detaching the door from the hinges to restore its alignment, door and hinges as one body. I was able to return the door to proper alignment with proper reveal all around that matched the passenger door. At the end of this operation, the door remained entirely tight and normal with no wobble or looseness. The remaining difficulty is that the door latch is damaged, seemingly by forcible banging by someone, probably due to the slamming of the misaligned door when attempts were made at repair at the shop responsible for the initial damage.

It now latches very well and smoothly at the first position only, but internal damage blocks seating of the latch to the second position. Mr. ** refused repair of the latch until his attempts at resolution with Walmart were satisfied.

The front tires were not under warranty, because my car was misaligned. This is my fault, but the rear tires were adjusted pro rata, and I received the same brand and size, paying just $64.80 for each tire. The regular price is $135.00. I am writing because it is my firm belief that the Walmart Lube Express located at 2106 Mount Holly Road, Burlington, NJ 08016 put two nails in my tires when I took my car to the Lube Express on November 9, 2010. On November 8, 2010 my daughter came out from where she works to find that her tire had lost some air. She drove to a gas station and was able to put air in the tire, and she drove home and parked the car at about 9:00 pm. at our house. I told her that I would take the car to get the tire sealed just to make sure that she would not have a blow out on the road while driving to work the following day. I took her car to Walmart at the location mentioned above. The service man Dan came out with the tire, and showed me a nail in the tire.

I suspected that the nail was just recently put in the tire while in their shop, but I didn't complain because I was there anyway to have the tire sealed so that it would be safe for my daughter and I resolved that they would just seal the tire and I would be on my way. When the service man brought me the tire to show me the nail, he told me he had inspected the tire and said this is what I found and he pointed to, and discussed the nail he had found, which was one nail. I said okay, please just repair it.

He took the tire back into the shop and came out again a few minutes later telling me that the tire now has two nails, and that the tire could not be repaired. He told me I needed to buy a new tire. I went over the events as I have written above. When the servicemen couldn't get me to buy a new tire with the first nail, all of a sudden I have another nail one inch from the original nail that they claimed they didn't see when they found the first nail. I did have a verbal confrontation with them over the issue because I brought my tire there in repairable condition and left with it in irreparable condition according to them.

I spoke to someone named Kendall, a manager. I also spoke to Jim, the store manager, and I spoke to Dan, the repair person. I also spoke to who I was told was the District Manager, and other servicemen in the area at the time. Since the tire insurance was still good on the tires, they all decided that I would have to buy a new tire for $58 which included a $20 discount.

I firmly believe that there is a scheme being perpetuated on the consumers. Walmart Tire Lube and Express at this location should be investigated. I told the Servicemen and Managers that I spoke to, that I will hold each of them, and Walmart responsible if that tire is the cause of an accident. I believe there is a scam going on, and I hope that you will investigate it. I believe a scam like that is a crime that could cause someone their life, and if a scam like this is an ongoing practice, it should be investigated for the safety of the public.

I purchased Walmart tires with road hazard and balancing for an extra $70. My first problem occurred when I got a screw in a tire. When I took it to Walmart for repair they pulled the screw, the tire went flat and they said that they could not repair it. I asked if they could mount my spare, they said they could not because it was a different load rating from the tires they sold me. They tried to sell me 4 new tires. I changed the tire myself and had the flat fixed at a Firestone store who said the hole was within legal limits of the edge.

The second occurrence was when my son hit a piece of metal on a freeway exit and ruined a tire. Walmart in Longmont CO said that they had no record of the car although it had their tires on it and I had had the tires rotated there one month before. They tried to sell him a set of 4 tires. He bought tire somewhere else. Finally, I took the vehicle in to have the tires rotated, they refused saying the wear on the tires was uneven and they were not allowed to rotate them. They had already put a quote for new tires in the car before they told me. I took the car home and measured the wear with a depth gauge, the tread was within .005 in on all tires. They had said the wear differed by as much as 8 units; I do not know what units they use. It is clear to me that all they do with their road hazard and balancing program is get you into the store so that they can sell you new tires. I went back about 15 minutes later and they said that there was an issue with my car. It seems that the tube that the dipstick goes into had been broken so now there is nothing capping off my oil. They told me that I would need to get it fixed and that I should be careful driving it because the oil would get hot and go all over my car.

I was so upset that they tried to say that there was an issue before I took it in. My car has never leaked oil and I knew that they had broken it. I asked to speak with a manager and he admitted that they did in fact break it, but that they would take it over to a car repair place and have it back to me in 20 minutes fixed and paid for. Then they called me back about 45 minutes later and informed me that my car would not be fixed until Monday which was 3 days later.

They told me to pick it up at Wal-Mart at 7:00 on Monday. I went into Wal-Mart to pick up my car and a manager told me that I could not have my car back until I signed something saying that they weren't liable for any damage. An hour later he came back with paperwork for me to sign.

I didn't feel comfortable signing it, but I needed my car back. I checked and it appeared that everything was fixed. Two days later Wal-Mart called me and informed me that they forgot to put my undercarriage back on my car. I will never return to another Wal-Mart again.

This was told to me by the night manager on 11-2-2010 at 12:30AM. What can you do to help with this issue? There is no law that tells me that I can't cash and carry anything, is there?

I have had 2 incidents with the TLE, both dealing with tires. The first was with our Grand Am. I went in to buy tires. As my wife and I was shopping, I was paged and asked to return to the TLE. When I got there, I was told they could not change my tires due to having alloy rims. Okay, I thought they didn't have the plastic fittings to prevent scratches. What I didn't like was the way I was told.

I had the feeling that it was a waste of their time to even deal with me. The second time was with our Jeep. We were putting new tires on to get ready for winter. I requested a pair of 235/75 R.15s put on the rear of our Jeep. While we were shopping, I was paged and asked to return to the TLE. When I arrived, I was told by the manager they could not put the tires on our Jeep. I asked, why not? I was told, in a very rude manner, the tag on the door said the size was 215/75 R 15. I said that I knew what the size was from the factory, however, I wanted the 235's put on instead.

Again, in a very rude manner, the manager said they couldn't put them on. I then told him that I would take my business elsewhere. The manager said, again very rudely, to go ahead. I went to the Sears store down the road where they very happily done the work I requested. Warning! Do not go to Wal-Mart for tires or any other service! It seems like they can't do anything.

A few months ago, my wife and I had Walmart perform the usual Mobile 1 Synthetic oil change on her truck. The truck is a GMC 1500 Sierra with a 5.3L engine requiring 6 quarts of oil. After completion of the oil change, we picked up the truck and left Walmart expecting everything was done properly as usual. A few weeks ago, we were driving and all of a sudden, the low engine oil level light came on. I immediately pulled the truck over to check the oil level, thinking this was probably a sensor error because our truck does not consume or leak oil.

Low and behold, the oil level showed to be just over a quart low. With this finding, I proceeded to check the truck for leaks and exhaust smoke which none were found. It then occurred to me what happened. Walmart, in their infinite wisdom, neglected to put the last quart of oil in our truck at our last oil change and with the oil level sensors position, it did not read the level being low until the level slightly changed through a change in position on a hill or maybe the speed of travel on the highway according to the dealership.

The dealership also stated that they could not tell me whether any damages had occurred as a result of the lack of oil without pulling the motor down to check it. I had to deal with a few rude people at the local store until making my way to the store manager Humberto. Humberto refunded me the amount of the oil change and assured me that opening a claim was the right thing to do and they would take care of the issue. After opening the claim, I was referred to an insurance company called CMI which took weeks to call me back. When I finally got a call back from CMI and spoke with Brent **, who was very rude and condescending, he deduced in a matter of minutes that the claim would be closed because I wasn't sure of the damages to the vehicle therefore, there was no damage to report. Brent also blamed the missing quart of oil on my truck and called that normal consumption, without knowing and researching the service history of this vehicle.

I then went back and forth between Walmart Corp. customer support and this CMI insurance company. I finally got the number of a higher up in the CMI Claims area (David **). He stated that because the Walmart service report on my ticket shows the service called for 6 quarts of oil, he could not prove that Walmart did anything wrong and it was up to me to provide proof that they didn't perform the oil change correctly. I offered to do an oil consumption test through the dealership service area to show proof of the oil the vehicle uses and David told me that I can have this done, but it won't change anything on the claim and will not be used as proof. I also offered that the store was already pulling the security video for the time of the incident and that he could contact the store for this information, which David also refused to look into.

I'm currently waiting for the closure of the claim to be appealed through, you guessed it, CMI. I also want to state that if there are any current class action suits against Walmart for this, I would love to jump in and offer my Walmart experience by joining the suit.

I dropped my car off and went to my mothers house, 3 blocks away and waited for them to call me. 2 hours later, I received a call from "Jerry" saying my car was ready. I showed up to get my car and was charged $11.00 more than I was quoted.

Drove the car home and parked it. The car was going to be parked for a few months because I was moving and there was no room for another vehicle until the snow thawed. My brother, a mechanic, came home on leave 3 days after the so-called oil change and he checked the oil, only to find old, dirty oil. I called Walmart and explained what was found. They refused to even look at the car, stating I could have taken the car home, drained out the new oil and replaced it with old used oil. Ummm...hello, seriously? On September 17th 2010, I brought my 2003 Subaru Legacy into Wal-Mart Tire Lube Express to have the vehicle's oil changed. We received a receipt for the vehicle and proceeded on our way. We drove the vehicle to Abercrombie, ND about 30 minutes away. The vehicle then sat for the next two days. On Sunday on our way back to Blaine, MN, we experienced our first problem. We were just out of Fergus Falls about 90 miles away. The check oil, oil temperature light came on. It instantly lost power and I pulled the car over to the side of the road.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, we discovered there was a hole in the engine and that the vehicle was no longer drivable. We decided to look at the oil level to find it at least an inch about the critical line. We took pictures of the oil and pictures of the vehicle. We paid to have the vehicle towed back to Abercrombie, MN because it was closer.

We contacted Wal-Mart that day. They said the manager was out today but he would call us tomorrow. The next day the manager called to say that they have looked at the video and that they have surveillance showing that they only put in 4.5 quarts of oil. We said, “Okay, well did you drain the oil?” We received no response. They put us in touch with their insurance company. They later contacted us and started filing the complaint. After awhile, they stated that we needed to take it to a certified technician. We towed it to the Subaru dealer in Fargo, ND. They came to the conclusion that the oil plug had not been unscrewed for awhile and that the filter showed signs of use. They also said that the engine exploded because of too much oil.

Upon these findings, we told Wal-Mart. They said they're not going to pay for the claim because they have footage of them draining the oil. We asked them four times during the process if they had this footage and received no answer. There was also a problem with a check engine light when we took it in. The findings were that the engine light was on because of problems not involving the engine.

I bought 4 Goodyear tires at Wal-Mart in Del Rio, Texas about 4 years ago. The car had 35,000 miles at the time and now has 58,000 miles. It's a 2,000 Grand Marquee with original miles, hardly ever used except for some trips to Abilene and San Antonio. Mostly local miles.

Problem started when car started to wobble while driving. I had the front end aligned but wobble continued. The place where I took it for alignment advised me that I probably had a tire out of round and to take it back where I bought the tires which was at Wal-Mart. Mr. ** said I had too much air in the tires and refused service to the tires and voided my warranty on all tires.

I left upset and decided to not buy any tires at Wal-Mart because they do not stand by the products they sell. I recently took the car to a local dealership and he checked the tires and found that 3 of the tires were coming apart. He was angry enough to confront Mr. ** at Wal-Mart but now Mr. ** wants to see the receipts which I misplaced. He even deleted the records out of the system so they couldn't find any records on the tires that were bought. I believe he was record tampering when he deleted our records from the system. These tires still have a lot of tread on them but what good are they if they are coming apart.

The dealership sold me a new set of tires and told me that they have records on tires they sold as long as 4 or 5 years ago. I believe we were scammed by Mr. ** at the Wal-Mart tire center. I was willing to buy a new set if he would have pro rated them but he wouldn't have anything to do with us. Problem is if my wife got hurt in an accident because of those defective tires. He would be working in the tire shop at a state prison. I am not going to let this go lightly and I will see to it that Mr. ** loses his job. He is a danger to this community!

I went there just to get my tires rotated. I gave them my key and went to look around in the store while they were supposed to do the work. I came about 15 minutes later. I looked outside and could see my car, and it was in the exact same spot that I parked it in. I accidentally parked my car kind of crooked and in the left side of the lane. I figured they hadn't even started the work yet. But to my surprise, the lady said the work was done.

I paid $10 and went to my car. I checked how it was positioned, and it was exactly how I parked it, crooked at an angle and towards pretty close to the left line of the parking spot. I was immediately suspicious, because the chances of the mechanic parking exactly how I did are slim. The front tires of a car are usually dirtier than the back because they do most of the braking, and the brake dust etc. dirties the hubcaps or rims. But I keep my car clean, so there was no way of telling. I wash my car almost every week.

I took my car to another mechanic, and he couldn't tell either. However, the mechanic that actually did rotate them at the second place said that the tires were pretty hard to remove, and that it felt like they hadn't been removed in a long time. It makes sense because they hadn't been rotated for at least 7,000 miles if Wal-Mart did in fact not do it. Also, I had the second mechanic measure the tread depth, and he got different results than what Wal-Mart did. Wal-Mart did accurately get the tire pressure right, which was 30 for all tires. They also wrote down the mileage on the odometer etc. I just don't think they rotated the tires, which is what I was paying them for. My advice to everyone is to never trust mechanics. And if you can do the maintenance yourself, then go ahead and do it. I do probably 90% of the maintenance on my car myself. Next time I will probably just rotate the tires myself. I should've watched them "do" the work.

My rear tires were wearing badly due to an alignment problem. I went to Walmart to get two new tires before getting my alignment. They claim it was balanced and two tires were put on the front and they made me sign a paper that it needed an alignment, which it got an hour later. After the alignment at a different shop, I hadn’t driven it above 30 mph to get to the alignment shop. It was shaking badly above 50 mph and when turning. I know cars pretty well and when I went back to Walmart, they said it must be my car, and to take it to a shop to check the suspension brakes, etc. I told them I wanted the tires balanced again.

They told me they did this and when I left, it was still shaking. I took it to the shop where my alignment was done. After a test drive, they told me its definitely the tires that shake and like that is only in the tires. We rotated them to the rear and put the rear tires on the front and the shake was gone. At this point, I thought it must be defective tires, but the shop asked me if I wanted to check the balance, which was done by Walmart one hour earlier. I decided I would just have them check the balance and just see. The tires Walmart had put on were terribly out of balance, even though they supposedly balanced them twice. The shake was gone after the other shop balanced them. So are the people at Walmart, or just lie to customers.

I had to pay for a balance and rotation and test drives at the alignment shop just to figure out it wasn’t my car and that the tires were out of balance that Walmart told me they balanced when obviously they weren’t. Walmart will never get my business again, and I find it infuriating that they would try to take advantage of someone. It’s a college town and I think they take advantage of students. I am not a student and do most work on my car that I have the tools to do so. Trying to blame myself and my car for a problem that was caused by them, and that they refuse to fix or are too stupid to balance a tire.

My daughter and I went for lunch and upon returning to Walmart, her car was back outside so she went in to pay the bill and get her keys. Apparently, the service desk did not know where the keys were and tried to find the technician that worked on the car with no luck. Keys were found in the car.

At this point, we tried to start the car. The ignition would not turn, the steering would not unlock, nor the gear shifter would come out of park. We were told to get the spare keys; so we did. Same effect, nothing would move.

The car had to stay overnight at Wal-Mart. We spoke with Tom, who apparently was one of the assistant managers, who said that the ignition had nothing to do with the oil change and that there was nothing they were going to do to help us out. We were forced to tow it to the dealership to have the ignition cylinder replaced costing us $655.95 (tow included).

After getting back to Ontario Canada. I contacted Walmart US customer service who then escalated it to the store manager in MT. He then called me and asked for faxed copies of the bill and he said he had video to review and would get back to me. He sounded genuinely concerned.

I got a call from CMI, which is apparently Walmart’s claims company. On this call, I was informed that being the car was older, it was just a wear and tear problem. They were denying the claim or any fault because there was no proof that Walmart employees broke anything.

Again after expressing that we drove the car into Walmart, the technician drove it into and out of the garage. And then we had to tow it away because of the above problems with no starting, he still tried to say there is no proof that the employee had anything to do with it, being that it is an older car.

So I am now waiting for the denial of claim papers to be mailed to me and I will escalate this further as there has to be some way for the small consumer to fight the retail giants just saying no. Bottom line is I had to pay out US $655.95 to repair their mistake. Being from Canada, that costs more.

He also, stated the the mistake was never documented in the Wal-Mart system, so he had no idea what part was broken and replaced on my jeep. On August 14, 2010, I took my 1994 Silverado to Walmart for a $40 oil change. It was over 2 hours before the service was done and I could pay for my vehicle. Upon getting into my vehicle (they parked it in their lot, a short distance away from the building), I was scared to death, because when I went to engage the shift bar, it was broken! (It was flopping back and forth instead of locking into place as it always has done when shifting). Because of a time restraint, I had to go straight home, so I immediately had my husband look at the shift handle and how it was not working properly. We did not drive the car again until the next day when we returned to Walmart and registered a complaint.

After about 1/2 hour, the Walmart person said they checked their "video cameras" and did not see anyone mishandling the car. (I'd like to know where their cameras are located.) She (the Walmart person) got in the car moved the handle and then decided that, this being an older vehicle, the problem with the shift was just plain wear and tear. But she said she would register a claim; however, she assured me that it would be denied because, after all, this is an "older" vehicle. Because I felt insecure driving the vehicle, I took it the next to my ASE Certified mechanic, who has been serving this vehicle since the day I bought it. My mechanic had to take the steering column apart to locate the broken piece - this cost me almost $100 (I had to borrow money from friends to get this work done), as well as a workday without my car.

Brian **** of Walmart's Claims Management, Inc. (CMI) contacted me and also spoke with my mechanic. His decision: "You did not immediately go into Walmart and register a complaint, instead (you) drove the vehicle off the Walmart lot, had several people handle the vehicle and then (you) returned the following day to register a complaint. Therefore, Walmart is not responsible for any alleged damage you claim has happened to your vehicle.

So here I am. Being told that this is my fault - I am responsible for the damages and any repairs. If I had not taken my car to Walmart, I would never have incurred this extensive repair bill.

My vehicle has never had a problem with the shift bar, it has always performed properly and as the manufacturer intended. If the Walmart auto service person had gotten into a vehicle with some "damaged" or "unsafe" function - would they not have mentioned it on their work sheet - they wrote comments about my battery, about my radiator - but no one wrote "shift bar not working properly - should be replaced." I understand that I have the option to take Walmart to small claims court, but, because I am just a "customer", Walmart will definitely ensure that the case is denied and I can't afford an attorney.

Today, my car battery was dead and my husband came to jump it off. Both our batteries are WM batteries. He noticed that his battery had some corrosion so we went to WM and had them check out both of our batteries. Mine was still under warranty. The technician said that my husband's battery had a bad cell and was too little for his truck. My husband told him that WM had put it in 2 years ago. They did replace his battery under warranty but with the same size that he told him was too small. My husband asked if they could put in the right size and let him pay the difference. The guy said no he could replace it but if he upgraded to the proper size, he would have to charge him full price. So my husband took the same size since it was under warranty. WM put in the first one with the wrong size, why wouldn't we be allowed to get the proper size and only pay the difference in the two. The man was very nice to us and we have no complaint about him, we just didn't agree with the policy.

They put it on crooked or didn't tighten it. It had blown all the oil out of it and destroyed the turbo but don't know if it was done with any damage to the engine yet. We had called WalMart home office at **** and talked to a man name Elis and he told me that he was going to email the store manager at Grove Oklahoma and tell him about it and they said he would get back with us but we called and talked to the store manager Stoney **** and he said that the WalMart home office don't have anything to do with their store and he acted like it was our fault.

My husband had parked the truck in the yard after he had it serviced in until our long hauls on produce begin then. That’s when they started the truck up and made several hauls and when he got back from Missouri with a load of produce and drove on down by Pryor, Oklahoma to get ready to set up and sell the produce the truck was throwing out white smoke to which you couldn't see the road. There is not an oil filter that will come apart if it's put it on right, whatsoever.

I went to WalMart in Land O Lakes and purchased a new battery for the amount of $82.93. I drove 15 miles and met my wife where the vehicle had stopped in parking lot of Beall's. I tried starting the vehicle and as stated, the battery was dead. I then replaced the old battery with the new one. Again, none of the lights would even come on. I had no choice then but to have the vehicle towed. I waited 2 1/2 hours for the tow driver to arrive. He then tried to jump start the vehicle which had the new battery installed. The vehicle would not start therefore it had to be towed.

I had the vehicle towed to a local Ford dealer on Saturday morning, August 14, 2010. The shop foreman called me and stated that the new battery that I had purchased from Wal-Mart was no good. Therefore they would need to replace the battery and also that there would be a $90.00 diagnostic charge. All of this would have been avoided if WalMart had sold me a functional battery. I went to the store in Land O Lakes, spoke with the customer service manager who referred me to the assistant manager who listened to my story and contacted the store manager who would not speak to me but relayed that I could complete a product complaint form and have a great day. So I am out the tow and diagnostic charge.

First off, I am an employee of this store. Last September, my husband (Bill) bought four new tires at this store. I remember the Dept. Manager and another employee arguing over what size tires needed to be put on our van. Finally deciding on a tire size, they were put on and we paid the bill. Over the next eight months the tires kept losing air. My husband brought the van in several times to this store to see if they could figure out why the tires kept leaking air. A new dept manager was hired in TLE and he was the one who figured out the tires were the wrong size. He told my husband we were lucky they never blew out on the interstate driving 80 miles an hour.

The Dept. Manager in TLE called Mark, one of the assistant managers and he said the only thing the store could do for us was to take $17 off each $100 tire that we ended up having to buy. Whoppee! Here I work at this store and we only got $17 off a tire. I didn't want to say too much as they probably would've found an excuse to get rid of me. It was this stores fault they put the wrong tires on it the first place. They should've replaced all four tires for nothig. They probably would've if I had been just a regular customer. We ended losing almost $400 with taxes and stem valves, etc. having these tires put on.

Unprofessional, lazy and arrogant staff, misleading customers. I went to install a New winter tire (on August 14, 2010) that I had on a rim. The technician starts interrogating in a very arrogant way. He asks me whether the tire is new, I said yes, it is. He looks at me as if doesn't believe me and says, "I have to see the tire." He walks with me to my car and sees the tire and says, "Oh, it's illegal to drive with a winter tire in the state of CT in summer." (Later, I checked online and I didn't find any such law since the tire is not studded). He then checks my car and says, "Oh and you have winter tires on already and your car can be impounded." He orders me to pick up the tire and carry it for him.

He intentionally delayed the mounting and while I was standing there, another technician asks if he should attend me since my tire is done and the customer is waiting. I heard him saying that he doesn't have to hurry for a 14 dollar job. Finally he comes to me and charges me and tries to hand me the tire. I requested him that the tire is dirty and it would be nice of him to put it in my car's trunk and he says that he is very busy. Finally I asked him, "What's your problem man?" and he saw that I am getting irritated so he carries the tire to my car. My mileage at that time was 114962 miles which accounted for the loss of a few lug-nut jackets which was typical for the lug-nut configuration on that model Dodge Dakota. There was no problem in installing the new tires. The jackets did not affect the mounting of the tires other than having to reduce the socket size used to mount the tires to the truck.

Upon returning to the Wal-Mart location to pick-up my vehicle, I was given a service order, which stated, "Cancelled, unsafe environment." A verbal statement was made that the threaded studs on the front passenger side were cross threaded and hence the employee did not wish to subject the store to any litigation. I brought the Dakota home and made an appointment with a local repair business and had them remove the tire and I inspected the stud. I'm an engineer by profession and have seen a few stripped threads but there were none to be found. In addition, there was no problem in removing the lug nuts in that there were 3 with no jackets.

It was apparent that the employee did not want to honor the purchase agreement and subsequently I had to spend $55.96 to satisfy what was otherwise a failure to honor the Wal-mart purchase agreement. When I took the car back to Wal-Mart, an asst. manager without verifying anything, stated it has nothing to do with the oil change, and further suggested to take my car to a local auto store (auto zone). I chose to take my car to the Lexus dealer, who informed me that the warning lights are coming up because a hose was not connected back to the filter pump, possibly when the oil change was done last.

Evidently, this confirms the cause and effect of the warning lights. The dealer charged me $45 for diagnosing the condition. Later, when I brought it to the attention of the store manager and his supervisor, they offered to give me $10 discount on the next oil change. This is, of course, not acceptable to me. First, there is negligence and secondly there is no verification of the common errors that may have been committed at the time of oil change. Much to his surprise, I told him his store had. I'd gotten a different phone number since then and it hadn't shown up when I gave my new number (me not thinking).

I told him my old number and he found the item in his computer. I asked him if something was wrong and he ignored me, while speaking to a "technician". This went on for about five minutes. He went on to say that my oil threads in the oil pan had been stripped and the "technicians" were having issues inserting it back. Well, I began to get nervous and kind of scared. I'm a full-time college student, and work full-time and don't have the money to pay for costly repairs.

Two managers came up while I was at the front waiting for the store manager. ZMS Jessica and Asst. Manager Edward approached me. I explained the situation, provided both receipts (I had Jesse print off a copy of the March oil change) and they pretended to not know anything that was going on. The truth is that while this was taking place, they were in direct contact with Jesse. I saw them talking and with my receipts in his hand. Needless to say, they agreed to have my car fixed.

They tried sending me to a "friend" of Jesse's, but I insisted on going to Christian Brothers Automotive in Corinth, TX, and they reluctantly agreed.

Initially, Jesse acted like Walmart didn't damage my vehicle, and that to re-thread the oil pan, it would only be about $75.00. Well, the estimate was $348 and some change. It took about two weeks to finally get Walmart to act on their liability to me and I'm not finished. I'd contacted the Better Business Bureau prior to getting this fixed as well as endless calls to 1-800-WALMART. Today is June 28th and I'm going to get it fixed soon.
