I listed my van on TRED. They posted it on Auto Trader, KBB, etc... The post instructed potential buyers to call a number that was not in service. A TRED representative told me that the number was added by Auto Trader, but after checking other listings for my van, I found the number there too. I also tried to message myself through Auto Trader and KBB and found that interested parties were only given an automated email from TRED telling them to reach out on TRED. I quickly lost trust in their service and removed my listing. Upon deleting my listing on TRED, perspective buyers were then sent an email saying my van had been sold and to check out other vehicles on their site. I have requested a refund from TRED, but have yet to hear back.

I was charged $99.00. Didn't sell my car on Tred and didn't even completed my account. They are asking for your driver license and all other stuff. I cancelled my account like the chat person told me over the chat. You can't call them. They don't have a phone support. Complete scam.

Do not deal with this company unless you don't mind being jerked around! I simply cannot understand how in the hell this company gets 5 stars from people! The 5 stars have got to be from sellers who have just received their money! This company does not deliver on their services in a timely manner. On 11-3-2020, I bought my car and still have not received the title, registration nor license plates as of 2-12-2021. I have to request a FOURTH TEMPORARY LICENSE PLATE FROM THEM! Pathetic!

This is the biggest scam of a business. You have to pay 19 to list the car, and if your car does not sell and you remove it it will cost you another 99. They do not generate any extra exposure or increase your chances of selling. They simply send you weekly emails to lower your listing price. Your best bet is Facebook Marketplace. Beware your minimum payment to them is $118, no matter the outcome.

I have sold multiple cars to private parties in past 15 years, this is the best and easiest of all. Car selling/buying always has that ill feeling of getting scammed or low balled, etc.. Had the best experience from start to end, no complaints. Here are the reasons I would recommend TRED to others:

Please don’t use this company. Buy directly from a buyer. Customer service is the worst.. I’ve been waiting for a title for the last 8 months - 8 months find out today, something was incorrect with the funds. I’ve spent $4,000 in repairs for a car they want to come and get.. It takes 3 days for any question to be answered. If they say someone will call you back - they won’t.. I thought I had been dealing with a head person - John. I found out today anyone can email you or text you - using John’s name.. PLEASE AVIOD THIS COMPANY, it’s not worth the headaches and delays.. Since June 19, 2020 I’ve been waiting on a title to come.. 7 months!!

Good for sellers, awful for buyers. Took almost 5 months to get my title! I bought a used 2008 BMW 335i Convertible via Tred last July. Set up a test drive thru the app, seller and I negotiated a price, I wired the 10 grand to Tred and they notified the seller they received the money. I went over the next day, we filled out the paperwork, I drove away. Printed a temporary registration, FedExed the paperwork to Tred who said they would take care of the DMV work and smog. Then I waited. The website stated I should get my title in 45 days. I started getting almost daily text messages and regular emails that they had not received my paperwork even though I had delivery confirmation.

Thought I was doing a good thing selling my car with a loan on TRED. Huge mistake. Buyer was prepared to pay cash. They had over $300 unexpected fees and the buyer STILL DOES NOT HAVE TITLE months after my car loan was paid off and title cleared. Total scam!!!

Registered with Tred; uploaded photos; entered all auto info; entered bank info. Received message "Status: In Review. We're reviewing your Mazda and will notify you of our Instant Offer in the next 24 hours. Send us a message using the chat button below if you have any questions!" 2.5 months later this message still exists. Contacted CS via chat and was informed California location not within their marketing area. But whole sellers would be contacted and be able to see vehicle info. 4 weeks went by; *called CS and CS rep stated whole sellers were never contacted and would take care of asap. No contacts were received. Finally listed vehicle with Military Auto Service due to close proximity to Naval Air Station and sold my vehicle within a couple of weeks. **Very ppor customer service and/or follow through** WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Definitely do not recommend! We lost over $1000 due to Tred not providing us with the correct paperwork in a timely manner- even though they kept insisting it was being sent. Even after the fact, I had hoped this company would do the right thing but they have not. Here are the details of our experience: We bought a car using Tred (money sent 7/14/2020, received the car 7/24/2020). Before starting the transaction, I called the company to make sure they could actually get the car titled in Nebraska because I did not know how that was possible as any new car needs to be inspected. I was told they were successful in doing this across all states and I still had to pay the registration and fees to get this done.

As you may know, the process of selling a car via private party can be cumbersome... You have to handle large sums of money, provide a title, complete registration transfer paperwork. Tred solves this problem. The peace of mind is worth the cost. I sold a car to an out of state buyer and am really happy with how this worked out. Price for the service is fair...Buyer was happy. Would recommend to a friend. Took out all the headache of selling a car myself. I wish ya'll the best of luck.

This site made things so easy for me. My car literally was sold within 24 hours of me listing it. It's cheap to set up and completely worth it! They took care of all the paperwork and money transfers.

From the very beginning this company is a nightmare to work with. Communication is terrible. Ability to perform duties as promised is terrible as well. A well oiled machine it is not. They were unable to complete my state's paperwork, so they handed everything back to me and told me to do it and refunded the registration and sales tax they had charged me. But, in addition, they charged me a documentation fee of $200.00 but did absolutely nothing for this $200.00. So, I requested my $200.00 be refunded and they agreed but I have not seen the money even after multiple requests. They should be investigated for their business practices. I would urge anyone and everyone to go elsewhere to buy a car.

Flawless first experience selling through Tred. I sold my 2013 Ford Escape for the asking price and more than double the car dealership trade-in value. Tred was super responsive for my questions and helped close the deal in under a week with my buyer. They're awesome and will disrupt the used car market for sure! Keep it up!

I feel like I am dealing with robots and not humans. I have asked several times for an address change as original address was wrong on my temp registration and they just sent me the same thing with no changes. I have explained this to several people via, phone, email and text and I know that the email and text cannot be real people? They just send same answers over and over with no results.

I signed up with TRED to sell my car on Monday, and it sold on Tuesday--yes, the very next day! I will definitely use this service again. I doubt that I will ever again trade in a vehicle to a dealership. There is no easier way to sell a car.

This was my first time using TRED. Very professional and easy to work with. I do recommend users read and understand T&C, how it works and what to expect before signing up! I'll definitely use them again!

You pay $19 to post your ad on the site and if you sell yourself the car to a dealership and delete the ad (since you do not need anymore!!) they are going to charge you $99 for chatting with “Buyers” who never was even serous and took even any offer. Avoid this company, they are the worst.

I have now sold two vehicles through TRED.com and been able to get top dollar for them. The website is extremely easy to use, features you in several different advertisements and even provides the carfax report. Once your vehicle sells they handle all of the lien and DMV paperwork for you! The service fee is extremely reasonable. I will definitely use them again. Thank you TRED!

Absolutely amazing! Easy process. Downloaded the TRED app and made the whole process a breeze from listing to selling my vehicle. Whenever I had a question whether on phone or messaging TRED service rep was always helpful and courteous! The whole process could not have been any easier or transparent. This made the notion of visiting a used car dealership seems obsolete and backwards, not to mention NO sleazy pushy salesperson tacking on hidden fees and services. With their screening, no craigslist scammers either! Would recommend TRED 1000%!

Whenever I had a question or needed additional information, either on the web chat or on the phone, TRED associates would be prompt, knowledgeable and courteous in their response. The entire process of selling my vehicle was incredible, easy, professional... even in the midst of the pandemic. I really appreciated the detail to safety, protection of confidential information, and seamless transactions. I did practically nothing, and my car sold for top dollar! Couldn't be happier.

TRED was fantastic and efficient. Customer service is phenomenal; they are highly responsive and responded off-business hours with any questions that came up. They made everything so easy, from a safer sale to letting everyone avoid the DMV. I wouldn't sell a car any other way going forward. The fee was very reasonable as well, and definitely worth it.

Attempted to use their services to sell my vehicle. Paid the initial $19.00. Their listings generated very little interest. Their portal never gave me a trade in amount for the vehicle as they had advertised. If you decide to use their services, beware that once the first person “reaches out” to you, you will be charged $99.00 if you cancel their services. One person contacted me for a test drive and cancelled a few hours later. That one and only contact caused them to charge me $99.00 once I cancelled their services. Their listings did not generate much interest in my vehicle.

They charged 99$ from my account for nothing. I list my to car to sell their website and then deleted because I got ridiculous offers. This website charged 99$ from me for nothing. This is not acceptable.

I thought the service was excellent value. You removed a lot of headache and made it really smooth for me. I also liked the price setting piece. I felt like it was hard to find another service that would be willing to say my price was "fair" - and you let me post it at the price I wanted.

Smoothest transaction ever. Made the car buying and paperwork so easy. Never bought a car with that ease of mind. From scheduling to check the car, from financing the car it was all in one go and I don't have to worry about anything. They also provide with Carfax report so you can buy with ease.

Great experience the whole way through. Staff was very responsive on the chat feature. Only snag was that the car sold quicker than the TRED packet could arrive in the mail but they are working with me on that.
