I am sadly writing this commentary and complaint in regards to my visit this morning to your Warren, MI (Van Dyke) store location. My son (11 years old) and I arrived at your store around 6:30 AM on the way taking my son to school. My son got out at the gas pump, and I continued inside to pay for the gas. Upon arriving to the register I stated I wanted $10 on the pump, and the young lady stated "he pumped $57". I said I do not have $57. She said, "well you have to pay it". I said "let me see what is going on", so I went outside and asked my son what happened and he said, "She told me to start pumping the gas".

I went back in and asked her "did you tell him to start pumping the gas, he is only 11?". She said, "Yes, it is a prepaid pump I have no way of knowing he is only 11". So I said, "Well what is your procedure for this situation?". She said, "You need to pull off, and I will take down your license plate, and call the police as a drive off". I stated firmly, "No I am not driving off. I will stand right here. Is there another payment option or procedure?". She stated no you need to do a drive off.

So I asked to speak to the manager. The manager (Kathy) came over and said she would have to call someone. As she spoke to the person on the phone she stated, "Yeah, you have to do a drive off". I emphatically said, "Well no I am not driving off, but can you call the police so I can fill out some type of reimbursement plan or something". Upon the police's arrival, they asked for my wallet and saw money that I had dedicated to bills, including an overdue life insurance policy (I have a terminal illness) and rent that needed to be paid.

They made me pay for the gas with the dedicated finances I was not entitled at that period. My complaint is the rudeness of the cashier, and the lack of either proper procedure or protocol. Though the cashier gave misguided directions to an 11 year old, I would have been more than willing to pay for the gas, but not at the risk of losing my life insurance policy. It was one of my most dehumanizing experiences I have faced. The consequence is that I lost my place of stay.

I went to Speedway #2215 to make a purchase, wrote a check for 17.56 only to have it declined and denied. The check was put through twice but still denied and declined. Called my bank who stated it is nothing with them it would be the company hired by Speedway. I contacted Global Payments only to be put into an answering machine. When I did talk to a person they told me if I gave them the information they needed (my personal information) they would send me a letter in 3 to 5 days. I tried to purchase gas from Speedway # 8790 today and the same thing happened. Declined. No reason.

I was at this gas station, today, July 25, 2008, and filled up 2 of my cars, a ford pick up (with 20 gal tank) and a mercedes benz (with 20 gal tank) each with $100. The pump read that I filled each vehicle with 22.889 gallons each. My gas gauge showed only 3/4 tank full. This gas station is stealing my money. I would like to report gas gouging and I would like a refund. Please investigate. How can I obtain my refund? They are thieves, abusing and taking advantage.

I took two 5-gallon containers to the gas station and almost completely filled them both (not quite to the top)- so just less than 10 gallons of gas, however, I was charged for 11.016 gallons ($30.28).

At 0815 today gas was $2.85 a gallon. At 0945 they raised the price to $3.37.I live within sight of this station and know they did not receive a delivery and they just raised the price......

The price on the street sign said $1.38. When the gas was pumped we noticed it was set on $1.42. My husband went in to tell the cashier and he said they had to have someone come in that changes prices, they could not do it there. This is not true because they are changed through the computer on location.
