    Ship A Car did ship our car and we were very happy with the service on both ends. We had to meet the people who came and got the car at a place where the big rig could park nearby about two miles away. The driver was extremely courteous and went around and observed the car, and then gave us a piece of paper. There were some scratches on the underside that he mentioned. The same fellow, when he came out to California, called and said where we could meet him.

    Somehow my phone was turned off. Apparently, he called and called me, and there was no answer. So, by the time I turned my phone on, he was pretty annoyed that it had taken him so long to get in touch with us. So, I apologized profusely and I hope that it doesn't mark his record or ours in any way, but he was helpful. He put the car in a special parking place and told us where it was and he was great. Ship A Car is lucky to have him.

    The guy with Ship A Car was fantastic. He explained everything and was very responsive. It was the first time I had shipped a vehicle and was unfamiliar with the process. He helped me understand it. I was pestering the hell out of him and telling them, "I ain't heard anything. When is somebody gonna be here?" Ship A Car said, "We're working on it." Their explanation to me was no drivers wanted to come to the area where the vehicles needed to be picked up which was Reno, Nevada. They finally found somebody, but his price was even still higher. Ship A Car's fee went down even though the total fee went up. It's a brokerage service, which was something that I didn't understand going into it. Ship A Car quoted a price, and that price changed.

    The driver was a nice person. He was a little late, but he had a lot of factors that could have affected that. He couldn't produce a receipt for the money that we paid him, and I didn't appreciate that. But at the end of the day, he had the money and we had the vehicles, and that was the goal. I would recommend Ship A Car to somebody else but would give them a heads-up that it ain't gonna work exactly on the clock. It's just gonna be as good as they can do.

    I shipped the Lexus SC430 and Ship A Car did an excellent job. Everybody else was lagging behind, but they were very responsive to my calls. The rep I had was extremely good. We did this within one day and the car was being shipped the next day. It was very quick and there was no stress. The pickup was extremely easy, too. Instead of them having to come down my narrow streets, I had them meet me in a public place which was a Harris Teeter, which was in the back. Then we met there with no traffic, I was able to get the car up on the truck, and they were going.

    I gave them the car at 6 o'clock, then my car was there by 11 o'clock the next morning. I was very grateful the car was dropped off and my daughter was happy. I couldn't have asked for more. They also went over the car, made sure there were no issues, and had pictures taken. The young fellow who drove the car was excellent, too. He was very courteous and right on the money. If I had to do it again, I'd be using the same company.

    Ship A Car guaranteed me they'd pick up the car at a specific time so I went with them. The rep who helped me was very clear, understandable, and did a great job of communicating all aspects of the shipping of the car. Also, the driver did everything he was supposed to do. He contacted me prior to the delivery of the vehicle and arranged for us to meet and drop the vehicle off. The vehicle was in great shape when it was delivered.

    I put a quote online, and Ship A Car, Inc. reached out and they were communicative about helping me out. And when I finally found the time and date, they helped me organize everything and it was smooth. There were only one or two minor hiccups which they helped resolve. During the transport, one of the truck drivers decided they didn't want to pick up the car on Saturday, that they would leave on Friday. So, it wasn't communicated to the team, and they had somebody else pick up the car that was a single trailer. But the single trailer would bring it back to the home base rather than a direct ship and I wasn't aware of that. But I just had to make a few calls. The guy communicated with me throughout the day to find a good time and a good drop-off spot. I live in a busy area, so we tried to meet in the parking lot, but didn't work that well. So, we decided to meet on a big road and the guy was good.

I do know some of these big long trailers open or enclosed car carriers, have a difficult time in the big city of New York, sometimes they need to send in someone with the smaller trailer for pickup and shuttle it to the big trailer that it will be going cross country in.     Everything seemed good. The cars got here safely. I paid and the driver was happy. I was happy. When we started this process with those two vehicles, it was supposed to be three days from the time they were ready. But it ended up being about seven days. We were trying to move out of state, so we already emptied both houses and had our stuff in trailers. The trailers were already gone. So, we went almost a week living out of boxes. We couldn't leave yet because we were waiting for the two cars to get picked up. But other than that, everything went smooth.

    Wayne, I was quite happy to hear that your three classic cars were delivered safely. Our highly rated carriers always do their best to insure the vehicle are handled responsibly. If that means delaying shipment until it’s safe to travel, they will wait. Carrier timing can be an issue as the loading and unloading of other customer vehicles can use up valuable time.
    I’m sorry to hear that you had to wait a couple of extra days for the pick-up but it’s always a possibility with carriers who travel cross country routes. This is especially true during the late winter/early spring months. Enjoy your new home and those awesome classics!

    The person who helped me at Ship A Car did really well. We had a couple of truckers that accepted the order, then either didn't call Ship A Car or backed out. But he found somebody and got my 1995 Camaro to Oklahoma City when I wanted it, so that worked out. The driver was careful to load the car and made sure I was happy with the way it looked when he left. Also, the final cost was the same as what I was quoted.

I said I wasn't gonna be around and he said it was not a problem. I could pay him the next day. We ended up doing Venmo to him. It was the easiest thing ever. It was easier than going to McDonald’s Drive Thru. My broker in Miami was unbelievable too. I sent him an email saying that it was the best experience I've ever had in anything.     The person from Ship A Car, Inc. that I spoke to was direct with me, and that was part of a good experience. They were a little late at the dealer, but I know they couldn't pinpoint exactly. I had my rep with the dealer work with them, and he was happy with the way it was loaded and secured. The delivery team was a little early, which I appreciated.     Ship A Car, Inc.'s scheduling fit my scheduling. And price. They had to get into a gated community to pick up as and drop off. As well as their schedule was expedited, which I didn't step away from, but they delivered to my home when I wasn't here. I was in Las Vegas, and I was able to open my garage doors from afar. And they took some photos. I talked to the gentleman who dropped it off. He put the golf cart safely inside the garage, and it was done. He sent me five photos of the golf cart, the battery charger and the cover that goes with it to make sure all the parts were there. The cart was freshly painted and clean when it was picked up. There was road dirt that he encountered along the way. I anticipated that. But everything was good.

    The only challenge I was upon delivery, they wanted cash. I said, “I'm not gonna be there. Can I do Venmo? Can I do a pay service via electronic payment?” They said, “Yeah. Sure. That'll work.” Come to find out the driver who the money would go directly to didn't have that service. So, it took a minute to spin things around, because I got texts from people I wasn't sure who they were. And the driver was, “I received your text.” But there was some communication breakdown because he said he got the text, but he didn't get the money. But all worked out, and the person who texed me said, “The driver didn't get the dollars,” was one of the folks that I originally had some communication with. And when I heard it was her name, I was, “Oh, okay. Why didn't you say so, and I just paid you?” But it was all good.

    I was comfortable with the salesperson I was talking with. We had a nice conversation and exchanged bits of information. When I had a couple of questions, they were right there to answer them for me. There was a little problem or misunderstanding between somebody out there and the lady that I had been speaking with, but she got right on it and straightened it out for me and we kept things rolling. The driver was very good. The final cost was a little more than initially quoted, but the lady I spoke to told me that that was a possibility because the contracted company doesn't have to accept the bid initially. They can put up their own price.

    The way I was going to pay for the transport was supposed to be cash to the driver when he got here. But the driver's company called me and gave me a time frame that said they did not want me to pay him in cash. They wanted me to pay him in a cashier's check. But when the driver pulled in, he asked me if I could pay him in cash because they had not paid him anything. That was his story anyway. So there was a little confusion there. I called a gal at Ship A Car that I originally had contact with and that was one of the things she helped me straighten out. We had to talk to several people to help me straighten it out.

    Ship A Car's process was cut and dry. I need a quote. I go from point A to point B. There was nothing overly complicated about it. The delivery went well. The guy called me. He said he was like 30 minutes. I thought he would have trouble finding our house because it's a newly built house and I didn't think that it was on a GPS yet, but he had no problem at all. He pulled right up to the house, got the golf cart out of his trailer, and wheeled it into the garage. Everything was great. It was smooth. I'm very happy with Ship A Car. It was a reasonable price.     I would recommend Ship A Car, 100%, to anybody. We had a very good experience with them. The first day I spoke with our agent, Lisa, she was very impressive. I understood everything and I totally enjoyed talking to her. She was very professional. I was getting into why we were doing this and she made it personable because she always asked about my kids. I have a daughter that is in college also and she always made me feel like she was interested in what was going on too. I enjoyed her as a representative.

    Ship A Car, as our broker, hired Lion Trans. The driver came and we were not impressed with him. When the driver pulled the truck up, it looked like he hit the car in front of it with my son's truck or the truck in front of it. So, it wasn't the best experience as far as the driver. Then, after he picked up our car on March the 4th, I got a phone call on March the 13th from Lion Trans that the driver had hit an overpass and totaled my kid's truck and that they don't know where it happened. He kept driving and took it to the port. We asked Lion Trans not to leave the truck. I had to get in touch with my insurance company and try to work that out. But Lion Trans left the port, took my kid's truck to an apartment building of somebody that they knew, dropped it off, snapped a picture, put the keys in the gas tank, and left it there and said that the insurance company can pick it up from there. It was in an apartment building parking lot for four days.

    My insurance company had to send somebody to California to assess it. Lisa called me and was very apologetic. She was awesome and gave me any information and paperwork that I needed to try to help us. Ship A Car gave us the money back for the shipment from the port and gave us our refund of $200 because we had to pay for their services. But Lion Trans refused to give us our transport fee back. They said they did their job and didn't owe us anything.

    Lisa, the woman I worked with at Ship A Car quoted a price that ultimately was higher but they were able to place it with a trucker for less than they originally quoted me. So it was great to work with her. The drivers picked up the car from Boca Raton, Florida on Wednesday and it was delivered to our home in New Jersey on Saturday.

    They texted me and gave me a time window when the pickup would be. That could have been better because the driver had some problems with his truck and ended up getting a flatbed truck to do his pickups while he was having repairs done on his truck. So, it was a little bit later than originally planned for. On the other side of it, he called 24 hours in advance of the date saying he would be here at 11 AM the next day. And he showed up as he expected. They were great at taking pictures of the vehicle, inspecting everything on pickup as well as drop off. Having had three bad experiences before and turned off to it, I would work with Ship A Car again although there's no guarantee that I would get the same driver and truck who was very efficient. It was a great experience and I've recommended them to other people since.

    I made contact to Ship A Car, and the rates were consistent. I've shipped other things, so I'm familiar with other things. The representative I dealt with did a fantastic job. He was organized, and he stayed on top of things and assisted me through every step. The side by side ATV I purchased was picked up in Jacksonville, Florida on a Wednesday night and dropped off in Jamesville, Wisconsin on a Friday night. The carrier driver was excellent as well. He let us know when he was gonna be there, then we met in the parking lot. After that, we drove the ATV off the back of the truck.

    I had a 2008 Toyota 4Runner shipped for about 531 miles from Indianapolis to Charlotte, North Carolina. My sales associate at Ship A Car was named Lisa and she was very sweet. She was very personable and didn't ask me to leave any reviews, but she seemed genuinely interested in me. She didn't try to upsell me and was upfront in letting me know there might be unexpected costs. The costs ended up being a little bit more than what I was quoted for because I had some personal items in the car. But from my understanding, the company couldn't control that and it was up to the transporter who ultimately decides to transport the cars. They're able to not charge you extra for whatever is in your car.

    I also had an issue with the merchant that they worked with to have my car delivered. They were not upfront about how they wanted the payment, so it was a little bit off to me. They wanted it in cash, but I would have preferred to do a credit card payment. They said there would be a 1 to 5% small additional charge but it turned out, when I was getting ready to pay the person who delivered my car, it was going to be 15%. The drivers said that they didn't carry any change. So, I paid with cash. But I expressed my concern about that to my Ship A Car, Inc. agent and she told me that she would be getting in touch with them to touch base with them because that wasn't what they told her.

    For the pickup in Indiana, I live on a pretty busy residential street and they don't necessarily do door-to-door if they can't do it. So, they had to pick up my car at a different location, an AutoZone parking lot, then they had to drop my car off at a Walmart parking lot. It's not a big deal and I got my car in the end. But it was not what I was expecting from what they advertised. Also, I was advised by my Ship A Car agent to take pictures before my car was dropped off with the person who was going to ship it to me, then take pictures of it afterwards. I was also told that they had the driver who's shipping the car for you look at the car, and they note-take any damages before they pick it up and have the person sign-off on that.

    So, I already had damage to my car which was peeling paint, but there was no flat tire or anything missing out of my car during delivery. Plus, I was paranoid, so I put an Apple AirTag on my keys, which they left in the car. So, I knew my keys weren't taken out of my car and I could track my car the entire way. So far, I've not noticed anything wrong with my car since they've dropped it off and it's been about a month now.

    I would use Ship A Car again if I was planning on shipping my car again. With a lot of companies this day and age, it was a bit of an older workforce and they could use a little bit of a less sketchier website. But other than that, they're a pretty good service. For a company I've never heard of and that I pretty much found on Google, I was pleasantly surprised with the service and overall happy with their level of customer service and their care. Even though it was a little bit of a last minute when they let me know my car was going to get picked up, throughout the entire process, they were attentive to me. Even though they tried to be a little bit hands-off when they finally got someone to pick up my car, they were still checking in on me. And on the day that my car was supposed to be delivered, they made sure to call and see how my experience went.

    I called Ship A Car and they gave me an estimate. They're a broker. So, they put it in the market, and then they have drivers told me, "Okay. Maybe tomorrow we can pick it up." They came and picked the car up, and in five days, they delivered the car. Everything was perfect.

    As far as the customer service, I wasn't happy of the third call when I called back to get some more information. There was a little attitude. They were trying to be nice in the first call, and then after they got my information and business, they treated me differently, which I didn't like.

    Dealing with the drivers was great. Anytime I needed to call them, they picked up the phone right away and were very easy to connect with. The pickup was in Florida and the drop-off is in Maryland and it took three days. I was still in Florida and I gave a friend of mine the information and the money. The delivery driver contacted my neighbor as they said they would and delivered the vehicle. They confirmed serial numbers and made sure it was the right vehicle and the right place. Originally, it was gonna be in a unenclosed vehicle, an open vehicle, and they found someone in the area that could deliver the vehicle quicker. It would be enclosed and they said it would be a small upcharge. They gave me the upcharge and I said it was fine and that's exactly what it cost to deliver the vehicle. It was good.     I called around and asked for quotes and Ship A Car sounded like the most savvy and reassuring. I shipped the car to North Carolina and then I shipped it back to California. I talked to the driver about three times each direction. There were problems picking it up to return it because of a dead battery and they were very accommodating. But a seatbelt was damaged when it was delivered. There's a button that goes through the strap and I found part of it in my cup holder and the other part on the floor. It got stepped on and broken during the transport. Also, they have an eight-foot wide trailer inside and the car is seven feet. That only gives them six inches to crawl in and they have to crawl into the window opening. There was a little bit of additional scratches and then, the seatbelt repair. Other than that, I was amazed. The guy was in and out without a problem.

    I was very satisfied with Ship A Car when I shipped a vehicle when we moved across the US because of a job, so I used them again. The pickup was in Oklahoma and the drop-off was in Virginia. It took four days, which worked out for us because we were able to get here a day before the vehicle was gonna reach Virginia. When the driver picked up the car, we inspected the vehicle. He filled out the paperwork and made sure that we understood the process for payment. He made us feel comfortable when he was putting the vehicle up on the truck.

    The same with the pickup, he again looked over the vehicle, went over the paperwork, and then we processed the payment. It was fairly easy. For the pickup and the delivery, the driver also called us and said, "Can you meet me at this location?" Which was fine with us. It was an open area and easy for the driver to maneuver in and out of.     I bought a vehicle and it's outside Dallas, Texas and they didn't have anybody that they used. So, I went to the internet and Ship A Car had good reviews. I called and the lady I talked to seemed like she knew what she was talking about and wasn't really pushy. She was just trying to provide service if I needed it. It took a little bit longer to pick the vehicle up than they had said, but that was okay. They apparently only do pickups on Thursdays and Fridays in Texas. So, they picked it up on Saturday because they couldn't make the Friday pick-up and they delivered it Monday morning. I called the dispatcher to make sure it was on the truck.     Setting up the transport with Ship A Car was a little bit difficult. The gentleman didn't understand that I needed the car picked up at a certain time and day. He was very persistent on me trying to leave the car outside for the freight company to come pick it up. I told him I would not do that and that I'd find someone else to do it. He was able to sort it out and got someone to do it. They said they could do the move in approximately three days but the carrier was almost to the doorstep in two days. He called me when he was an hour away from being to my house, pulled on to site, and offloaded the car. It was perfect.

    I contacted Ship A Car because I was referred by Kristen, an agent who used them. She got the cars picked up and delivered exactly when we wanted them. We shipped two cars, and one car was perfect. The other one was over Thanksgiving, and it only took a week, but they were trying to do it in two days. “Well, maybe three days.” “Well, maybe four days.” It kept getting dragged out.

    The date came, and the shipper called me and said, “Can we drop it off on Thanksgiving?” It became complicated because the van they used was so incredibly long, which I didn't realize they had to have. They had me go to wherever the driver could park. If it hadn't been Thanksgiving, it would not have been a problem. Also, it had nothing to do with Ship A Car. They set it up right. It was a miscommunication on the part of the agent, and if I had called her and said, “You gotta figure this out for me,” she would have done it. Overall, my Ship A Car experience was very good, and I would definitely use them again. I would not be so excited about the particular shipper we had the first time, but I would even use him. I would just be clear that whatever they said they would do is what I want.

    I was contacted by Lisa, and she was exceptional and very personable. I talked with her on the phone, and it felt like I was dealing with somebody I could trust. It took two and a half weeks to get the car picked up. That's partly because there was a bad blizzard in the Midwest at the time and it was over the holidays, so there were not many transporters available. When the job was finally picked up though, I got a call from Lisa and she said that she had been in contact with the trucker and he wanted somewhat more money than what she had offered initially. She suggested a compromise, and I told her to go ahead. The trucker agreed that morning to the compromised price. He picked up the car that afternoon and it was here by about 2pm the next day. It took less than 24 hours to get here. I was just floored.

    The trucker had a diesel pickup truck. It was a smaller trailer, and it was just one level. My car was the only one on that route, and the only snag was the trucker contacted me about 15 minutes out, saying that he was very close to my house and he was about to drop off the car. I was at work. I didn't expect him until the following day, so I had to tie up things and get here quickly. Although the communication could have been a little better on his end, he was a really nice guy. He was Russian and spoke very little English so maybe that was why he didn't want to call me. By the time I got home, the car was already in the driveway, and the trucker had the paperwork ready to go. Everything went really well, and I would highly recommend Ship A Car. I’d tell people to talk to Lisa.

    Their customer service was exceptional and the driver communicated adequately whenever it was required. The final price changed from the quote but it changed for good. It was less than the quote. The only thing was maybe the reason we got a low price is that the movers don't have a website and they don't have a presence online and sometimes you don't feel it's trustworthy. I got the reference from the movers who I signed up to move my luggage and I was able to track them. But if I give a recommendation to someone else and they want to check it out, having some kind of social media would be better.

    Ship A Car was amazing, and I'd use them again. My mom did a good chunk of setting up the transport, so I only talked to them when they picked up the car and when they dropped it off. They were very nice. We set up a time that worked for both of us when they could pick up the car. They showed up and told me they were there. We did a walkthrough on my car to make sure to look at if there were any damages so we could mark them down before they left, then I gave them the keys. They drove my car to Miami, then texted me the day before and said that my car would get here approximately at X time. The day of the delivery, they gave me an hour's notice, said that they were gonna be here, and they were able to deliver my car directly at my apartment. All in all, transporting a car is so much less stressful than trying to drive across the country yourself. Just to do it.

    I made some changes. I was gonna have the vehicle transported up to Michigan and the rep from Ship A Car was fine with changing it to Sacramento. He fully told me what the whole process would be. He was always available by phone or text or email any time, and was quick on making the changes and getting me the right forms and the information I needed to get it shipped and picked up.

    I was contacted by someone that they contracted and they told me when it would be at the location and asked me if I had any flexible times. I gave him an exact address. They were there on time and drove up with the truck. They brought it up on a transport and then backed it off and drove it about 300 yards to my location, and looked it over, photographed, made sure there was no damage, and had me sign the paper. I paid them right then and there for the transport. The quote was accurate to the final price. It was reasonable for what was going on with the economy at the time. I was satisfied with what I had to pay.

    I read about transport companies. I read their reviews. There was something about door-to-door transport and being fully insured and bonded. The other ones have door-to-door, but I did not see insured and bonded. That's what got me. I passed up all of them because it was very important for my car to be insured and for the people to be bonded.

    I contacted Ship A Car online. They texted me and asked what I wanted to ship and when. The person that I spoke to was very educational. He told me about the whole process and the different parts of it, like shipping from where I am to Long Beach. He would take care of things for me such as choosing and finding a driver for me. He would contract with the company to ship my car from Long Beach to where it was going. The driver was pleasant. The car made it to the destination on November 15th. Matson has their own people to accept my car and it is at their facility. The pricing for the transport service was just a few dollars but not $100 more. The driver took the payment for Long Beach.

    What I really liked about Ship A Car is the person I dealt with was very personable. It wasn't all professional where it's severe. He was a person and it was like you were talking to a friend. When he said he would call, he did. When I left a message, he returned my call. I never had to try to run him down to get information. He always contacted me first.

    I needed someone to move my car. Ship A Car was the second company that I found that wasn't a scam. I called the number that I found on the internet and they assigned an individual to my case to help coordinate and connect me to somebody to transport my car. Their price was better than the other company and they did a military discount so what I got was cheaper. That worked out pretty well.

    Someone picked up the transport in two days and that was pretty fast. The pickup was Olympia, Washington and the drop-off was Hopewell, Virginia. The process from pickup to reaching the destination took five days. Ship A Car had a way to track the transport but I wasn't made aware of it. The driver basically picked up the car and said, "It'll be there in seven days." That was cool. The driver called me the day before and said he would be there at whatever time in the morning. He said, "I'll send you a pin to a big lot that's right off the installation here," and then he met us over there and dropped the car off. We just drove them from there. The car was a little dirty but they drove across the country, so I get it. Other than that, the car was exactly how we left it. The stuff in the car was still there along with the little bits of trash.

    It was very easy for me to use Ship A Car, Inc. Their website was easy to decipher. They had a clear estimate. And they were moderately priced. They outlined what was in and out of scope. They had a sourcing manager that called me directly then to set up the scope of work. That was all done electronically, so that was all easy. He called his own vendors for shipping the car. So, there must have been a central office that managed my initial request. And he found someone in the local area that could ship the car. So, that was all seamless as well. There was lots of communication.

    The guy who picked up the car in Seattle was nice, focused on getting the car here as quickly as possible. He delivered the car here within a few days. He did have a little mishap. He was at a truck stop and a large truck hit his caravan, but it didn't damage my car. It made for a delay in the shipping. But that was not anybody's fault.

And he didn’t. But I reached out to move forward in the process after that initial conversation. The communication was perfect and I appreciated the driver’s 24-hour heads-up. He said he would be in San Diego around a certain time the next day. Then, he would call probably an hour out to dropping the vehicle off to let me know where to meet him if he can’t logistics-wise, drop it off on my street. So, that was good.

    Ship A Car was highly rated for a reason and it lived up to every expectation I had, which had to do with the person that I worked with. He was very good at his job and he set my expectations. He was super communicative and he answered my questions. The setup was relatively easy. He explained to me what would happen, how it works, what they do, and the timeframe that they work in. It was getting closer to my requested pickup date and I hadn't heard anything so I reached out to my guy. He said we'd start getting some action in the next couple of days. I trusted him and sure enough, he called me two days later and told me the transporter's name and their number. He said they would get in touch with me.

    The transporter showed up and at the time, I lived in a very busy area of Miami so it was a little difficult for him but he got my car loaded. He had to reverse my car up onto the transport and it was all the way up on top, in reverse, so I was impressed. He knew what he was doing. The only problem is that car showed up so quickly. They got my car to its destination within a day and a half and the guy needed a cashier's check. I had my mother here for the dropoff and thankfully, she ran out and got it right away. Other than that, the transport was seamless from beginning to end.

    Paul, the individual that I spoke with on the phone, was easy to work with and knew exactly what it was that I was needing and why I needed it in a timely fashion. I picked Ship A Car because of him. I was on a tight time schedule with having to fly to California to be there to get the car out of the garage and ready for them, and then needing to get back home and back to work. A lot of the companies said that if I want it picked up on the 6th, it could be the 4th, and it could be the 8th. But Paul was able to pinpoint a specific date that they would be there.

    The day that the reps were going to pick up, they said they were going to be there by such and such time. The actual driver of the truck stayed in very good contact with me but it kept getting pushed out. There was very bad inclement weather and one of the roads getting into where we were at was washed out due to a flash flood. So all the traffic has to go to the main freeway. Instead of them being there between 2:00 and 3:00, it was going to be between 9:00 and 10:00 at night. And it worked out fine. It was out of their control. Ship A Car followed through with what they were supposed to do. They got the car where it needed to be safely and in a timely fashion. It was a very smooth process and the price and the line of communication were excellent.

    The first day that I dealt with the rep he was very nice and I hadn't even bought the vehicle yet. So, I said that I was gonna call Ship A Car back. And I did and told them that I bought the vehicle. The seller said it has to be Tuesday the 19th because he was flying back from another state to California to get the truck out of the garage so they can ship it. The rep from Ship A Car said that it shouldn't be a problem. I said okay and when it was two weeks out, I still hadn't heard anything. I was told not to worry and that sometimes, they would talk to me as it gets closer. So, we waited and waited.

    A week before, I started to get nervous. It was coming up on Friday and Ship a Car was supposed to pick the truck up next Tuesday. So, I called that Friday but I did not hear back from the rep. I guess the rep was off that day but I didn't know that. So, I started getting mad and I said I wanted to know what was going on, if I would have to get somebody else. The rep called me back on Saturday and he said they still didn't have somebody but they should be calling by Monday. I said that considering it's supposed to be shipped on Tuesday, I hoped they would call back. It was crazy they hadn't got anybody yet.

    The rep called me back on Monday and said they found somebody but then the driver didn't think he would be able to pick it up on Tuesday the 19th, but he would be able to pick it up Wednesday. I told him the owner of the vehicle would be flying back Wednesday morning at 8:00 in the morning. He said he would find out and get back. I told him to see if the driver could meet the owner that night and we would figure it out. And then, I told the shipping guys that it irritated me because I asked them almost a month ago about this and they said it shouldn't be a problem. He said it shouldn't and he would make some calls and get back to me.

    The rep called me back and said that he found another shipper that would pick it up on the date that I wanted. I said that was great. Then he said that the only thing was they wanted $350 more. I was already paying 2,700. I felt like I was strong-armed. There was nothing I could do. I wanted the truck so, I said that we should at least split it. But he wouldn't split it. He said they would pay 150 and I would pay 200. There was nothing I could change on that and we were all set. Then, he called me back with some good news. He got a guy that said he would pick it up the next day and it would be $100 less. I felt bad but I still paid my end of it because I had already paid the extra 200.

    The guy who actually delivered it picked it up on that Tuesday and headed to my house by Sunday, which, from California to Massachusetts, was over 3,000 miles. It was great and he was very nice. So, shipping-wise, the company shipped it and the people delivered it. They were very good. I even tipped them 100 bucks and the driver was thrilled. It worked out in the long run but it could have been done a little bit better. The guy followed up two weeks later if I got the truck and that if I need any more shipping things, to give them a call. I said okay and didn’t say anything else. It started out great in the beginning and it ended well but with a lot of stress in-between.

    I appreciated the opportunity to assist this customer with his difficult transport. He was certainly frustrated with the timing but that comes naturally when the shipping process is not fully understood.
    The vehicle being transported was an operable antique 1937 Ford ½ ton pick-up truck. It was being transported a little over 3,000 miles from Glendale CA to Falmouth MA. The pick-up window given was from 11:00 am until end of day on July 19th, no exceptions. Additionally, I was advised that the customer wanted to include a set of five tires & wheels plus a California vehicle cover. This was a very heavy load, going a maximum number of miles in an enclosed carrier. I did my best to give the customer an accurate quote/estimate but ultimately, it came down to a carrier deciding how much he needed to charge for a load of this magnitude.
    This particular load was not something most carriers would want to take on and it took several days of shopping it to shippers before we finally found a couple that were willing to consider signing on. Of course, these carriers didn’t call until a day or two prior to pick up because this is normal for vehicle transportation. The first carrier that called wanted the load at a reasonable price but he couldn’t accommodate the tight pick-up window. The second carrier wanted the load as well and could meet the timing requirements. However, this carrier wasn’t providing us with his current certificate of insurance in a timely manner. Then we received an offer from a third carrier who had a current certificate of insurance on file with us and could meet the timing requirements, at $100 less. We locked it down and got it done. The truck was picked up on time and delivered in 5 days.

    The key here is we were able to provide our customer with a successful transport that met his requirements. It wasn’t easy, but we got the job done. As far as cost was concerned, the customer had to pay what it was worth for the carrier to take on the job. And for the record, we contributed $150 toward the cost to help make up for the frustration the customer was experiencing. Thank You, Steven H

    Paul was wonderful. The car got there safely and everything worked out really well. There was a little delay, though, because the destination was to a very isolated part of Missouri. There was a delay trying to find a trucker that was willing to get there. I wish I knew ahead of time that there was going to be a delay.     The representative that helped me, Doug, was amazing. He was very attentive to making sure we understood the whole process and didn't have any questions about anything. They wanted to help us find a driver more quickly and they upped the price but they got our consent before doing that, so that was fine. The original driver that called us did not give us a lot of heads up before he arrived. According to the dispatcher that we contacted, they were supposed to give us at least 12 hours' advance notice but we only got one hour's notice. That was a little bit of an issue. We requested if the driver could give us a little bit more than one hour to get the car ready to go. He had to pack a couple of things. They said that that wouldn't work for them and we didn't hear back from the driver for a little while.

    Then, later that day, we got a call from a different driver saying that he was on his way. He would be here shortly and the original driver ended up not being able to get the car. What was important for me was to have a two-day window on the basis that I was moving out because I was flying as well.     The transport company I chose didn't show up and it was pretty bad. I switched to Ship A Car and I liked their communication. People let me know what's going on and I'm good. When I called to ask about anything, a person was there and responded. He called me to let me know that he had someone to pick up the car. From then on, it was good until delivery. After delivery, I got a follow-up call so it went well.

    The transport was from South Carolina to Utah, which was about 2,200 miles. When the car was picked up, it took a couple of days. There were two drivers and they just continually drove. I couldn't believe it. The final rate was what was decided upon. The only thing was the payment was a cash requirement. I had just moved here to Utah and I just opened an account. The money was held because it came from another state so I didn't have cash. That posed a problem on delivery because checks or credit cards weren't accepted. If a credit card were accepted, that would have helped tremendously. Other than that, I would recommend Ship A Car.

    Ship A Car is a contractor for whoever ships the car. They put the job into a bidding system with approximate dates for when I wanted to travel and we did not have a specific location, but I told them a general area where I'd be willing to take the car. I received a 24-hour notice to get the car to a certain state but no location and time to meet anyone. That was revised the next day with an hour and a half's notice to meet someone in a different state, in a location that was closer to me, which was fine, except that it was insufficient time for me to plan. It was a week earlier than I requested and I had less than an hour to drop everything and get my car to that location. That was less than ideal.

    Requests for clarification from the original contact along the way were not responded to. When it came time for me to receive the car, I started getting text messages from someone I never heard of before, saying, “We’ll be there with the car in four hours.” At least we agreed upon a designated parking lot for me to have a family member meet, but again, it was considerably before we agreed that the car would be delivered. I was not even in the same state at that time because it was earlier. It created a lot of tension and confusion.

    The person was also asking me to just bring cash to the location, then they requested I Venmo them directly. I reached out several times to Ship A Car and to the subcontractor to request confirmation that this was the person I was supposed to be giving money to and that this was not fraud. No one ever responded. In the end, I had a family member meet them in the parking lot, and I told him, “When we see the car and my brother has the key in his hand, then I will Venmo you the money.” That's what happened.

    In general, the car was fine. Nothing bad happened to it. The price was also good, but communication was horrible and caused a lot of undue stress on a whole group of related people. There are some things that can be done ahead of time. My perspective is, they'll be very nice to you before they get your money, but once they have it, they don't really care. It was a very odd experience, all in all.

    The rep who answered the phone was a car person. He explained to me that his dad had lots of cars and he had a Dairy Queen and they parked their cars out front. I’ve always been around race cars and he has a racecar. So, out of all the people I talked to, whoever that rep was, he was the most knowledgeable. He is probably Ship A Car’s best salesman. The car was to be transported to my house and they said it would be here Friday. I was out of town and I was driving back from Fort Worth in the evening on Wednesday, and I get a call. The man said that he would like to drop off my car that night. I said that I was not even at my house and asked how he got down so fast. It was Wednesday. He said not to worry about it and asked if he could drop it off between 7:00 and 8:00.

    I got up in the morning and my wife informed me that the sprinkler people were coming. So at 7:15, at least four pickup trucks and about eight guys showed up, and they all parked around our house. And at 7:45, a neighbor, two houses down, was replacing their fence. So, another four trucks showed up with eight guys. And accordingly, I’m going, “Where is this guy?” And sure enough, here he comes with the transport, zigzagging in between all these parked trucks. He asked where he would park. I told him to back it in our cul-de-sac and he did. Then, the local security guard asked if I was moving. I told him I was getting a car delivered. So, he stops.

    There must be 20 people, all watching. Then the driver asked if I knew how to drive a stick shift. He couldn’t get the car out of the carrier because he couldn’t drive a stick. So I told him I would help him. He’s got two cars in the carrier, mine, which follow in the front, and another car that’s barely turned over. It’s shaking and rattling, and he backs that out. He puts it in neutral and it’s just sitting there idly. He comes back in and gives me the keys. I asked him if he realized how much space there was between the door and the carrier and I couldn't get in the car. He’s a skinny guy so he gets in the car. I told him to wind the window down, get out of the car and let me see if I can hold on the top of the carrier, and I’ll get in like a racecar driver. So, that’s what I did. And the moment I turned on that car, I was in heaven. The sound of that car gave me goosebumps, and I backed it up probably about a half a mile per hour, super slow.

    I drive around all the cars and I said that I got to inspect this because it was way dustier than what the photo showed. I looked at it and it was perfect. Finally, my wife started talking to the two other people that wanted to talk to me but I said that I gotta get this in the garage and check it out. The driver was gonna leave and once he leaves, if there were any problems, it’s sorry, Charlie. Then, we paid the driver and he was all smiles because it was 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s and 50s. We hadn't had a chance to go to the bank to just give him a 100. And he got in his trailer. It was a very nice experience.

    There's damage to the car. It looks like somebody in a white car hit the car from the back. The tail light is broken above and below, and it has been displaced.

    Wen I read the contract, it said that there’s a $500 deductible, and you have to tell Ship A Car, Inc. within 24 hours. But the driver was a very nice guy. He was great. He delivered the car to me. I got into the car. And when I got out of the car, I saw the damage. When I went to check on my stuff to see if my stuff was still in the trunk, and I started looking around. The car was delivered a little later than it was supposed to. I was just trying to get to where I was going. So when I parked the car, I looked at it quickly, and I saw the damage, and I went inside.

    This is my second time using them. The first time was amazing. I used them the first time to ship the car to California, and they were great. That was why I used them again. But if I called them and they give me a hard time, I wouldn’t use them the next time or recommend them. Because the car was in perfect condition. It’s an older car but it’s immaculate.

    My agent was Doug and he was professional, courteous, and as truthful as he could be. He kept me informed every step of the way and was very cooperative. As our circumstances change, I made him aware and he changed things up as we were going. I was shipping my deceased husband's car to our daughter. Things had to line up before I could ship that car and I explained that to Doug at the outset. He worked with me.

    I live in a rural area with narrow streets. He said, “I'm gonna put the car up for some driver with the explanation of the circumstances. We will make that driver aware. And we'll go from there.” Somebody accepted the car within 24 hours and I was totally shocked. Doug explained everything to the driver and the driver said he could handle it. When I made contact with the driver and I re-explained to him, he said, “I committed to picking this car up so that you would not have to walk, you would not have to meet me anywhere. You wouldn't have to leave your home. This car is literally going door to door.”

    The morning that he was coming to pick up the car, the driver called me and notified me that he was in the area. I knew exactly where he was. I again said to him, “Maybe you should just stop on the larger street or the wider street, and give me a call. And then reassess whether or not you can get down into my narrow road to pick up the car.” I heard that driver before I saw him. He got down out of his big truck and said he couldn't turn around. But I was told not to worry as this was the commitment he made. We looked over the car and he took pictures of my vehicle. He loaded the 2006 Sonata on the back of his truck and it was ready to go.

    He gave me an approximate delivery date to my daughter. But his plan changed. The driver did not call to tell me but that was perfectly all right. My daughter was looking forward to the weekend and when she reached him, he told her he would have the car there on Monday morning, which he did. I just wished that I had known it wasn't going to get there then I wouldn't have been so anxious that Saturday. But he didn't know. Other than that, the driver delivered and the car was in excellent condition when my daughter got it. The gentleman backed his big, old, long truck out of this narrow street. I was impressed because nobody else did. I am grateful to Ship A Car.

    I called up Ship A Car and they were very courteous on the phone. They were understanding that at my age, I'm not quick on the computer and on a whole bunch of things. But I knew what I wanted. They said they would find somebody. They said, "Give us a day." They came back and gave me a basic price. Then they came back and said, "We found somebody who will do it for $50 less. It's enclosed. Everything is perfect. We've had a lot of good feedback with them." So I gave them my credit card and they took their money. I also paid for the extra insurance because it was a specialty car.

    Ship A Car reduced the amount that they would get in their pocket by $50 when carrier number one could not pick up the car timely and they had to go to carrier number two, which was the fellow I ended up with. It was perfect. The guys were personable and it was a nice experience. The only thing was that I didn't know when the driver was going to show up. They said, "We'll pick it up Friday or Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever." They couldn't give me a time. So the gentleman called me and said that they were stuck at the car dealership so instead of getting here at 10 in the morning, they were going to arrive at 2:00 or 3:00. He kept me posted along the way telling me when he was going to arrive. So it was a pleasant experience.

    When the driver pulled up, he had a Porsche in there, which he pulled out and then put my car in the middle because of the way it was going to be dropped off at the other location. They strapped it all down. He took pictures before it left. Then it was in Nebraska from Long Island in a couple of days. They said it could take anywhere from four to six days, but it only took two and a half days. I was very pleased. My son looked at the car when it arrived and it arrived just the way it left.

    I'm a snowbird and I'm 84 years old. I used to drive back and forth but at my age, that's not safe. I don't see another alternative to Ship A Car. I work with Steve and he has been incredible. He knows me and my situation and he is just so supportive. The trip last fall was amazing. During this time when there's so much unrest, they're doing everything they can to make the trip as enjoyable as possible.

    I've been working with Ship A Car for years. Danny over there takes care of me well. He gets me a broker right away. The few times I've had issues with the carrier, he helped me take care of it. I've done several vehicles and everything went well. When I book, I call him up on his number. I text him the location, where it's being shipped to, where it's coming from, and the VIN number. He does a search, sends me a quote, tells me about what it should be, even before I even bid on the vehicle. He does a good job coming in with that radius and getting me someone right away.

    I work with Steve directly. He's my Ship A Car go-to guy. He's been nothing short of fantastic for me. I probably send him out about three quotes a day, and he gets back to me the same day. It's usually within a couple of hours. So, he's been great. All I do is send him an email with what I need, and he fires right back. He gets at least one or two bikes a week from me. I send out anywhere from 10 to 15 bikes a month. So, I use Ship A Car quite a bit. They’re great.
