I am sorry to learn about the inconvenience of your transponder being charged. We do state in our shipment emails, as well as on our website, that transponders should be removed from the vehicle before transport. In transport, it is possible for transponders to be scanned by toll stations. Neither Montway nor the carrier would be responsible for any devices left inside the vehicle.

Toll companies are completely separate businesses from Montway. As the owner of the vehicle, you would need to contact them yourself to resolve such an issue. At the time of delivery, you should have been provided with a Bill of Lading. You can use this, as well as your order confirmation, to dispute the charges. As these documents are proof that your vehicle was on an auto transporter during this time.
