I went in today for an oil change on my 2002 Acura MDX and told them I only wanted an oil change as my husband has a fleet mechanic that can do the other needed maintenance. Halfway through the oil change an employee came in and showed me an air filter with large clumps of dirt on it and told me I needed to have it changed. I finally consented. MY mistake in not asking the price. It was the CABIN air filter for $69.99! I feel like I was pressured into something I didn't need for an outrageous price. When I questioned the guy, he just shrugged his shoulders and pointed to the sign which said, Cabin oil filter START at $39.99 I feel like all they wanted was to sell me something I didn't need. I will NOT be returning to a Jiffy Lube in the future.

feb 24 1:10 came in to for an 5 points oil change at 34.99 but paid $95.00 at the end. I was told my filters, cabin and air filters were filthy that i need need to change them. I said, i no i will ask my husband first. He says he will give a discount and that if I buy the $60 filter he will give me the other one free. I have no knowledge of cars and i ask him is this how much air filter cost? its pretty pricey. He says, yes, everywhere else would cost me more and I am actually getting a good deal. Trusting him that I am getting a good deal I say go ahead. A few minutes later, I was approached by a cashier lady who told me that she can cash me out now if I was ready. Thinking that this was how it was done. I went and paid for the total bill. I asked the cashier again, if this is what filters really cost. It seems pretty high. She just shrugs her shoulder. I was asked to sign a customer rating number. I felt I was put on the spot and since all of them were friendly I gave them a good rating. I go outside back to my van, and the gentleman who sold me that filter comes up to me and says that he did not have the cabin filter in stock and that it was ok, just come back tomorrow. THis after I paid an almost $100 srvc! I asked if they had performed that 5 points services listed on the check list and they claimed they did. But I can't help shake the feeling that I have been swindled. I should have stuck with just the oil change. But they were very convincing that i needed it done and that he was giving me one of the best deals around!

I went to Jiffy Lube to change my oil on 2/06/09. Along with my oil change they suggested I change my differential fluid in my front and rear because I was over 50 thousand miles. After the service I gassed up and got on I-55 to head to a work meeting. I was driving for about a minute at 70 mph when I lost drive power and my car starting making a extremely loud grinding noise in the rear. Within seconds I smelled burning metal and was able to pull over to the side of the road. I got out of my vechile and looked for damage under the truck but didn't notice anything. I was able to drive the car disabled to the next exit at 15 mphs. I noticed there was another Jiffy Lube right up the street and pulled in. I showed them my receipt from the work I just had done at another Jiffy Lube and they said they would be happy to check my fluid levels. When they checked the back rear differential fluid level they said there was no fluid present and the fill plug wasn't cleaned off and showed no signs that they even filled it. Jiffy Lube Store #2509 documented store # 233 negligence. They documented that I entered shop with rear diff smoking, loud noise coming from rear diff, and rear diff was empty of fluids.

Had the oil changed along with filter and the new oil appears dark and dirty. I had discussion with the manager that somehow dirty oil is still in the engine and I wanted it done right. He began to argue with me that if he drained all of the oil out of the vehicle that cars would be backed up all the way down the street. Also If he knew that I was the same person that this happened to at another time and location that he would have put a note in my file to do a complete drain. This is the second time that this has happened to me. I went to a new location and the same manager from the other location was the same person that did this to me before. I think this is standard procedure for this manager to short drain / or not replace the filter. Either way I did not get a complete oil change as paid for.

I had the oil changed at Jiffy Lube on November 3rd, 2008 and on November 28, 2008 my car brakes locked up on my wife coming home. I had the car towed to integrity auto (independent toyota specialist) and was told that the brake master cylinder was damaged internally. It appears to be contaminated with a mix of brake fluid and some other incorrect fluid. Front brakes not releasing properly. Front rotors have been over heated and warped. Rear brakes not applying properly. I purchased this car back on June 15, 2008 and had reached 3000 miles on November 3, 2008. Jiffy Lube is the first auto shop to do any kind of service to my car since I purchased it. No other auto shop or myself has been under the hood until the day of my oil change. I have driven it for over five months without any problems until after visiting jiffy lube. Jiffy lube told us that they had our oil change on surveillance video and that we could come and view it. We asked them to have a copy of this video, however, they declined. We did go and view the video at their place of business and there are parts of the footage where the the view of the master cylinder is being blocked while the oil change is being done. We also feel that the part of the video in question may have been deleted before we were able to view it. We have been in contact with the better business bureau regarding this issue. Jiffy lube did offer to send the better business bureau a copy of this video footage. In my last correspondence to the better business bureau they replied that have now closed the case stating the BBB determined the company provided proper verification that indicated there was no obligation to resolve the issues of the complaint. We believe that the company has addressed the issues in this case and cannot require the company to respond further, however, their reliability report will reflect that you were dissatisfied or did not accept their offer.

I was told that the coupon is no longer good because when they type in the code into the register it will not reduce the price. I think this is false advertising. If the coupon "expires" on a specific date, you should be able to use it until and including that date. The manager in charge told me that he will take off $5.00 off the price, but that is not good when the coupon should have been good until and including today. This is how all other retailers work. I am truely disappointed with this company and plan to go elsewhere from now on. In todays ecomony we all look for a good deal, but when a company decieves you, we can go elsewhere.

I opened my hood and thats when it was noticed my engine cover (guard) was missing from the bottom of my car. I keep my car's engine compartment clean and had just opened the hood a few days before the oil change to spray WD40 on my engine hoses and I know my guard was attached prior to the oil change. The following business day Monday 11/10/2008 I drove to Jiffy Lube to report my missing engine cover to the on duty Tech. who had another Tech search for the cover in there basement bays below. After about 15 minuets I was told that it may have been thrown out. The Tech. made a phone call to the service Tech who worked on my car to find out if he could remember the details about my car. I was then given a hand written form for my name, address, make of car and nature of the problem.
The Tech. stated that this would be turned over to the store manager and he would call me. I waited a week till Saturday 11/15/2008 to go back and talk to the Manager who stated that I could be mistaken about the guard ever being on my car or it may have fallen off somehow with out my knowledge and his Tech who worked on my car also present stated that he wasnt sure about it ever being attached to my car the day of service. At this point I started to get very upset and decided it was best to end the conversation and leave. I have since called my Lawyer to have a complaint letter written to the owner.

Repairs necessary after Jiffy Lube overfilled my car with oil totalled $1,135.79. The oil was changed in January of 2007. The car started seeping oil and when I checked fluids, the oil was far up the dipstick. My husband took the car to Jiffy Lube and asked staff there to drain out some oil. He was told that, it shouldn't matter. It mattered to the tune of $1,135.79. When I complained to Jiffy Lube International, their response was to refund the oil change in the form of a check I didn't cash--I sent the check back with a copy of the invoice showing the damage that was done to my car because their so-called oil change specialists overfilled the car. They have never so much as acknowedged any responsibility for overfilling the car with oil! They did not bother to change out the old oil filter, which holds at least a quart of oil, and then they put five quarts of oil in anyway. If they had allowed for the quart in the filter, the oil change would not have been the best, but at least no damage would result. They had the car filled to bursting with oil! I couldn't believe it, but that is what happened. Worse, I trusted Jiffy Lube to do this right and I drove around believing they knew what they were doing until I found puddles of oil under the car.

Two days later, I went to start my car and noticed it struggling. When I pulled out of the drive I noticed an oil spot about half the size of my car. And as I drive down the street the windshield wiper fluid light went on. Not only did they botch the oil job, but they did not put in any wiper fluid and turned off the light to make it look as if they did. Now I am not a complainer typically, however this is not my first time having trouble with this location. The only reason I have gone back was out of convenience. Well, that goes to show you.... sometimes what is considered convenient may cause you more trouble in the long run.
Now I am going back this evening to see if they can fix the problem they caused. If I have any trouble... I'll let you know.

My husband took our 2001 Honda Civic to Jiffy Lube on Elliston Place on 10/1/08. He received an oil change as well as a transmission fluid flush. He paid $173.67 for this service with our Debit Card. Our Civic has 95K miles on it. On 10/27/08, the transmission in this Honda Civic failed. It would crank, turn on like normal, but when the accelerator was pressed the car would not move forward, only the sound of accelerating would happen. We had to have the car towed to our mechanic in Franklin, TN called Veach's Auto Repair (615-794-5008). The owner of the shop, A.C. Veach, informed us on 10/28/08 that the transmission was bad and would have to be replaced. We had no choice but to replace the transmission, so we did so. We picked the car up on 10/31/08, and paid $1,933.73 by check for the repairs. I mentioned to the owner of the shop, A.C. Veach, that we had recently had the transmission fluid flushed. He asked what type of fluid (the Jiffy Lube) used, and we said we weren't sure. I looked up online the type of transmission fluid to use in Honda Civics, and it lists Genuine Honda ZL ATF. I called the Jiffy Lube on Elliston Place today, 11/6/08, and spoke with a technician on the phone. I asked what type of Transmission Fluid they used when they did the flush on our car, and he said they used Pennzoil synthetic blend. I asked him why they did not use the Honda specific Transmission Fluid, and he replied Honda makes cars not Transmission Fluid. He went on to say that they only use 2 types of Transmission Fluids, no matter what type of car they're putting it into. I told him that due to the close nature of the Transmission Fluid flush that Jiffy Lube performed and the incident of our Civic's Transmission failing, it was highly likely that their service had caused our transmission to fail. He asked me what I wanted him to do about it, and I said that he should incur the cost of our transmission being replaced. He said he'd worked there 4 years, and this had never happened before, so this couldn't be their fault. He then told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. I feel helpless since the Jiffy Lube does not even consider that their service could have caused the problem with our car, and also because of the calloused nature in which he spoke to me. I'm looking to the BBB to help us because we're not sure what else we can do. When we took our Civic to Jiffy Lube, they instructed us that it was imperative that they flush our transmission fluid and replace it, and in the spirit of trying to preserve our transmission, we followed their guidance and assumed they would use the proper products. We feel misled by the Jiffy Lube and are concerned that this could happen to someone else. In these difficult financial times, $1933.73 was a hardship for us.

The next day I go back to Jiffy Lube showing them the leak. i spoke to Joe Hunchen (manager). He got one of the technician to look at my car. And he found that the bolts on the transmission pan were loosen, so he tighten them up. The manager said that they don't touch that part of the vehicle and that they are not responsible for the leak. This negligence has resulted in transmission damage.I am requesting that your humble institution help me resolve this issue. I sent my wife down to get a signature oil change done on her car. She goes down the Jiffy Lube in town, they find ALL KINDS of things wrong, tell her they need changed NOW, can't drive it like this. So she goes ahead and does it. 200 dollars later, she makes it home. I see her Bill, and it's RIDICULOUS. They charged her to change her light bulbs, a new air filter (which it was new), a tranny flush, tire rotation, plus more!

I took my wife's 1997 Chevy Blazer in for a routine oil change and on the way to work the next day (7 mi) when she stopped at a red light, the engine cut off. Two guys got out of their trucks and told her not to try to start it because there was a lot of oil leaking out from under her Blazer. We had it towed to our mechanic and then I went to the Jiffy Lube to let them know what had happen. They told me they need to look at it and they have their own mechanic. They went to my mechanic and changed the oil and filter very quickly and brought it back to the Jiffy Lube where they serviced the vehicle and had their mechanics look at it. They told me that according to their mechanic there is no damage done to the vehicle and was ok. Jiffy Lube refunded the money for the oil change and the one day rental car and I was on my way.

About two months later, we noticed a knock coming from the engine so we took it to our mechanic and he determined that it is a major problem with the engine and was directly related to the Jiffy Lube error. I then talked to Hector, the Jiffy Lube manager I dealt with when this problem first happened and he gave me his district manager's number. I called Gilbert ** and he told me he had to check if the oil filter was the brand they use. He sent an employee and he determined it was the brand and he also argued it had almost 100k miles on it and this is normal.

My mechanic disagrees. I then had the truck transferred to Power Chevrolet dealership for the heavier work. We are out of a vehicle and it sounds like they don't want to pay and I am not sure what to do now. Gilbert ** said to send him a legal document stating this was caused by the Jiffy Lube error and he will send it to his claims office. I have one document from my mechanic and I am waiting for Chevy dealer's determination. I spent $124.00 on inspection at my mechanics and Chevy is charging $1100.00 for the internal inspection taking oil pan off and this amount will go toward the repair.

To make a really long story short, they incorrectly installed the oil filter in my wife's Subaru Outback XT and the oil blew out all over the place but she was driving it and did not notice it until the engine lost power ... It killed the turbo and the motor ... They have slow walked everything about paying for the engine and turbo to be replaced and are trying to pawn off a used engine on us. It has been almost a month now we have not had our car. We finally picked up a rental yesterday (on Jiffy Lube's dime) since it seems that no resolution is in sight, even though they admit that the mistake was theirs.

The service attendant came up to my van and first proceeded to tell me that an oil change was going to cost me 34.95 at that time. I arrived between the hours of 1-3 on that day. I have a turquoise blue Ford Windstar minivan. I informed the attendant that it had almost been closed to a year since I had an oil change. He stated to me that he could not give me an oil change because for me not getting an oil change within a years time, and if he would do it would be a liability risk. He suggested that I go to a service center and have my van checked out before I get an oil change to make sure no damage was done from not getting an oil change that long. I admit fault at not getting an oil change in a timely manner, but I feel that's wrong for that attendant to come up with that lame excuse not to provide me an oil change service. That discrimination. This is not the first complaint that I've file against jiffy but It will be the last.

Before they changed they oil they informed me that my car has to have SYNTHETIC OIL BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS A TURBO. I questioned them and asked them are you sure? They insisted that if I do not choose the synthetic oil they would not be responsible if anything happened to the car. So I gave them the OKAY.

When they finished they called me in to where the car was to tell me that my car had an oil leak between the engine and transmission and that I should have it checked out. I was surprised to hear that since the car is NEW. Today I took time off from work and took my car to the dealer AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR. He made the order and I waited an hr and ahalf, again out of work, I almost had to get a rental car.

When the mechanics at the dealer lifted the car first they advised me that my car can never have the SYNTHETIC OIL, it is not good and I have to change it to the regular oil! SECOND, THERE IS NO LEAK! THIRD, THEY FOUND OIL OVER FILL, WHICH IS BAD FOR MY CAR ALSO. IN ADDITION TO THIS THEY FOUND THE FLUID LEVELS LOW!

A standard oil change is $30.00, instead of the$81.30 that Jiffy Lube charged me without a need, AND TO ADVISE ME OF FALSE INFORMATION. I MAKE $39.06 AN HR, I WAS OUT OF WORK FOR APPROX 1HR AND 1 HALF. ($58.59)AND I ALSO HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TO REMOVE THE SYNTHETIC OIL, $30.00.

I am a 21 year old female (not the every day **) but I know everything there is to know about cars, especially my own vehichle! Needless to say when I get there they try to best to pressure me into unnessary repairs, I'm talking a list of stuff, some I already knew about, others they were simply making up. For example, they kept bothering me about carburated issues when my car is fuel-injected!!! I've replaced everything from the fuel pump to drive shaft on my own, I think I know what I'm doing and was just plain insulted when they continued to act like I had no clue.

After my oil change, I went home and as I was getting out of my car I noticed oil dripping, I popped the hood to find a HUGE gash in the oil lines, and this was a fresh cut!! I don't know if it was done on purpose or not but when I went back to complain they said it was an old car, things break all the time. This was not broken, it was cut (and right beside the new oil filter) how convenient! I don't know which is worst, someone insulting my intelligence and assuming because I am a women I don't know my own car, or ruining perfectly good parts just so I would come back and have them fix it!

I almost forgot, my sister (who knows NOTHING about cars) also went there and had her oil changed, however she paid $100 for hers, charging her $35 for a FILTER! Ladies, you can buy a filter for $4 at Autozone! If your a woman, be prepared to be ripped off!!!

On 9/5/08 I went into JL for the first time here. On completion of their oil change and service, I was given a receipt that showed only 2 chassis fittings were lubed. When I questioned only 2 fittings being lubed, I was told that's all we could find. After some research and consulting my owner manual on a 1986 Isuzu PUP, I found there are at least 8 grease fittings. I returned to the location on 9/8 and complained to the Manager, Vince.

When commenting about the lack of service and quality of the lube tech who worked on my vehicle, I was told by Vince, Well, I have to work with what I have. So I can only assume they hire unqualified techs and have no training program and no customer/ vehicle safety concerns. They put the vehicle on the rack again and on releasing the vehicle again, the Mgr told me they found 7 fittings this time. I asked about the u-joint/driveline fittings and was told 'we couldn't find any'. U-joints have grease fittings. They aren't that hard to find. Not many places to 'hide' them.

I had the manual with me and tried to show Vince the diagram showing the fittings and he wouldn't even look at the book. When I told him that if I find there are, in fact, u-joint grease fittings I would be filing a small claims suit against them, his reply was Fine and walked away from me. How many other 'valued' customers do not get proper lube service and suffer mechanical failure and unnecesary wear later due to JL's negligence?

Unnecessary time and gas to return to the location. Knowing there are more than 2 fittings likely saved me major mechanical failure in the future.

It was towed to a Toyota delearship where it was discovered that the vechicle simply had run out of oil and the oilfilter was gone. The dealer ship has several theories and all of them go back to Jiffy Lube either not putting enough oil in the vechicle, not putting the oil filter on tight enough or not putting on an oil filter to begin with. The damages to My Toyota's engine is $11,000.00. I only owe $10,000.00 left to pay on my car and its blue book value is around $16,000.00. So The dealership will not vaildate the warranty on my vechile because of the missing oil filter.

I thought this is a good efficient use of time for everyone. NOT!! I looked out and they had already started and I still didn't know how much the charge was going to be. How did I know if I could afford it?

They told me that I needed an air filter and I gave my ok. He told me the charges would be $61.81 and I told him to just replace the air filter and forget the oil change. He told me he had already done it and that they would just have to put the old oil back in it. This brings to my mind that either they would put nothing back in (I wouldn't know until it was too late) or they would put back the dregs of oil from heaven only knows how many oil changes had been drained into that drum or place or whatever they use to collect the drained oil from other cars. That thought scared me and I let them intimidate me into allowing the oil change.

There were several men around my vehicle for an inordinate amount of time after this conversation happened. All that was needed at the time of this conversation was for the man to put the top back on the filter holder and that should have been it, drive my car out and let me pay. After all he had already told me that they had already changed the oil. The whole thing rang shifty to me.

I tried calling the 18003458237 number on the back of the receipt. I got a message to leave my name and number and I would get a call back. I got a call/message to call and ask for Mike's extension #278. I did this and he isn't answering, I leave another message with a time frame when I would be home and I still have not heard from him.

The cabin air filter so I told them to replace it and I asked how much? They told me it was $49.95 and they could give me $10.00 off. Then I was asked if I would like a copy of the invoice before I paid and I said yes. The gentleman wanted me to give him me credit card without me knowing how much the bill came to. He came back to the car with out an invoice and told me that the services were $99.95.

I gave him the coupon after I was told repeatedly that they did not need it yet and then I reminded the gentlemen that I was also to get $10 off of the air filter. So he went back and got me a copy of the reciept and on my bill it was $68.85. Yet I still did not recieve a invoice. After he had taken my card and brought me an invoice because I had to sign for the services performed and for the card did I finally see a bill. When I saw the bill I also noticed that they had asked me if I wanted my radiator fluid topped off and that service would be $4.95. That was not even on there as to being check and I was not billed for it.

I was really disapointed because it was my first time to a Jiffy Lube and I am sure that it will be my last. Very unorganized and a lack of comunication between employees. I also checked over the internet on prices for the air filter and I seen that if I would have purchased it myself it would have been $23.95 before tax. I believe that I was scammed on this issue being that the air filter cost me $49.99 at Jiffy Lube and I realize that there has to be a price increase I understand that but I believe that $26 is a big increase and I know it was not to cover labor because it did not even take the gentlemen 5 minutes to change the air filter. Rather than perform the services requested and paid for, the tech dumped oil into his radiator fluid as some kind of passive aggressive retaliation.

Since that time, my father's car has had numerous problems with overheating and is having to have his mechanic flush all of the systems at a cost of 350.00. My wife got in the car to go to work and when she turned the car on the engine started to rev, the tachometer was reving above the 2-300 range, and I was forced to take the car back to jiffy lube. The mechanic said he forgot to put the hose back on, and he fooled around with it for a minute or so. Afterwards it seemed okay until we left to go on our vacation.

As we drove down 295 S. the enginge started to accelerate by itself, then it would choke and the car started jolting, and we ended up at the T&A truck stop at exit 18. The diesel mechanics checked it out and said the throttle sensor looked like it had gotten oil or something dropped on it, and that's what they think problem is.

Now it also sounds like the rear brakes are gring, which wasn't happening before I took the car for the oil change. I drove it back home for the night, an am forced to take it back there today for them to try to fix. This has caused us to loose two days of our vacation and whatever expense it is going to cost. My wife is threatening to sue Jiffy Lube and this whole experience has ruined our vacation. The car was running fine until I took it to Jiffy Lube, now I don't know what other problems they have caused at my expense, and I think that something should be done to see that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I don't know the extent of the damage yet, but I do know our vacation to Florida is ruined and my 19 year old daughter and her 20 year old boyfriend are stuck in Tampa waiting for us to get there to continue our trip. They flew down last night. We have their luggage in the car and we're stuck here. This is ridiculous. Somebody needs to do something about Jiffy Lube and it's practices. I will contact an attorney when I find out the full extent of damages caused by the Jiffy Lube co.

Jan 2008 I took my BMW to Jiffy Lube on Mt Moriah for and oil change. I had no problems with my car after, so I decided to go back in July to have them do the work again. The Jiffy Lube on Mt Moriah had closed by then so I went to the Poplar location. After sitting for an hour one of the techs came and asked me where did I have my last oilc change.

When I said the Jiffy Lube on Mt Moriah he rolled his eyes. He said that while changing my oil the first time the tech at the Mt Moriah store broke my drain plug and although he was able to get the top of itoutthere was still part of it stuck in the hole. He told me that they would have to get an instrument to pull the other piece of the plug out and replace the plug. I was furious because I had spoken so highly of them and thought that they had done a good job in spite of the fact people were telling me not to go to them. About 15 min later the tech came back to me and said that it was all taken care of and they had replaced the plug.

Before I left the manager (Scott) wanted to speak to me. He apologized for the issue and proceededto tell me that was the reason why the Mt Moriah location was no longer open and that he did not want to lose my business. He said "The thing about Jiffy Lube is that when we mess up we take responsibility for it and we fix the problem..." He assured me that they had all my information in the system and I will never have that problem again, but if I have any problems to come back.

Aug 12 I was driving my car and the oil light flashed. I quickly pulled in to the Jiffy Lube on Poplar and spoke to Scott again. He had me pull my car in so he could check the fluids. "You're a quart low," he said. I asked him how was it possible for me to be a quart low on oil and I just had an oil change. "I don't know. We checked for a leak and didn't find one". He said he topped my oil back off and I left very angry because I didn't feel like he was really wanting to get to the bottom of the issue.

I ended up having to take my car to BMW for and unrelated repair and that is where I was informed that I did in fact have an oil leak. I was also told that the drain plug had been replaced with an oversized one and I need to have the whole oil pan replaced. I contacted the store immediately and also the district manager Tim R. I followed up our conversation the next day with an email, to which he has not responded yet.

I sustained $1,168.00 worth of damage to my vehicle as a result of their carelessness. I have not even been offered an apology from the district manager and by his lack of communication is showing me that he has no interest in resolving this issue with me. In the interim, oil is still leaking from my car, therefore putting my car at risk for more extensive damage.

I am currently deployed to Iraq and found out that store #2780 preyed on my wife like a pack of vultures. I am filing a complaint with the manager, filing this complaint here and with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. My wife went in for a regular oil change in which she was appropriately charged for ($28.99). Then one worker came to her and asked her about replacing the air filter since we had denied it the last two times, she said yes. Another worker came up and mentioned another filter and she said she'd have to ask me first and he left. He did not completely explain which filter and did not get authorization for it. Apparently they ran out of some filter and ran across the street to the Ford dealership to purchase a filter, came back and installed them.

She asked them why they opened the gas tank fill port and they said they always do that for the filter. The fuel filter is not in the tank, so why would they open the fill port? She was not specifically asked if she wanted the fuel filter changed and NEVER authorized it. She authorized only for the AIR FILTER to be changed. The vehicle is still under factory warranty and if it required the fuel filter we would take it to FORD to be changed or I would personally change it when I return in a couple of months.

She was charged 48.99 for an air filter and the 10 minutes of labor to install it. The air filter is $20.00 at most parts stores and I know because I replaced it before I deployed. $91.00 is way too much for a $30 oil change with the air filter being roughly $20 and another $30 in labor?

When my wife (and two young children sitting in the hot vehicle waiting) tried to start the vehicle it wouldn't start. They mentioned it was because there was no fuel in the lines. This is what triggered her to the fact that they did something that she did not authorize and immediately told me via a text message. My wife is not a mechanic and was mislead by the maintenance workers at a store that you have authorized under your corporate name.

When I called at 1:30 in the afternoon (local time) I was told the manager, Robert, would not be in until 4 pm. What kind of manager does not come in during the busiest part of the day? I have made a couple of professional requests for Jiffy Lube to make amends. I await their reply to my requests. If they do not comply with a simple audit and disciplining the manager then I will notify the BBB and Attorney General.

No actual damage except misrepresentation, hounding my wife and other ilegal sale practices.

On 8/25/08 I received an oil change at Jiffy Lube the cost was 22.00. I immediately went and parked my car. When I pulled out of my driveway I noticed oil in the driveway (brand new driveway constructed 5/23/08) It wasn't a huge puddle but evidence that oil was leaking from my car - I assumed just an over flow.

On 7/30/08 on my way home from work my car began to smoke badly and the engine light came on. I drove back to Jiffy Lube and the employee, looked under my car topped off the oil and suggested I speak to his GM, B M. Mr. M suggested I take the car to Pep Boys because they have a relationship with them, he said if it is our fault we'll pay for repairs. I explained that I felt more comfortable taking my car to AAA he said fine. I took my car to AAA and while driving, my brake light came on and then the ABS light.

The next morning 7/31/08 AAA called me and explained that oil was all over my car and they suggested that the old ring (forgot name) was still in place when they replaced the filter causing the damage. They also explained that my power steering fluid was empty and nothing had been topped off. The manager at AAA suggested that the regional manager Mr. R G give him a call, Mr. G didn't call - he merely told me that theyd give me $46 and clean my drive way.

I have paid AAA 93.00 for the diagnostic and to top off my fluids, I missed a day of work (AAA was closed the evening of the 30th and didn't get to my car until mid-afternoon on 7/31). Needless to say my brake lights are still on and my car is not driving well - I have had to pay a co-worker to pick me up, drop my child at camp, take me to work and pray that she had the time to do the same in the evenings. I am scheduled to deliver my car to a VW repair shop on Friday 8/8/08 for analysis and possible repair and I will be renting a vehicle. I do have a report from AAA, and I am ready for a law suit. They are so arrogant that they believe theyll win how, what am I missing?

To resolve this issue I believe that Jiffy Lube needs to pay for all costs related to the damage they caused due to negligence which include having my driveway cleaned, steam cleaning my engine and undercarriage, refund for oil change, diagnostic fees from AAA and Volks Wagen, possible repair costs from VW and lost wages.

I might add that they totally stressed me out and were arrogant when I suggested that Id call the corporate office - I was told they'll only send you back to me and you should've went to pep boys and then we'd pay - Well why should I trust to take my car to a company that you work with when I already see that your company is dishonest and unprofessional.

I did not have any problems with my Passat prior to taking my car to Jiffy Lube and now my nightmare begins somebody stop these inexperienced, unprofessional so called mechanics from destroying vehicles and ripping off consumers.

My car is going to the shop on Friday - I have to rent a car and it has caused me serious financial hardship _ i am a single mom

I went for an oil change and also requested a transmission (standard) fluid change as well. THe task was performed. or so I thought..... I soon started noticing some noise from the front end, which got progresively worse. I took the car to a Honda dealer for an evaluation. THe shop forman put it on the lift to listen further. He then decided to check the transmission fluid level. Upon opening the the fill plug, he could not detect the elevation of fluid (fluid level is required to be at the rim of the fill plug).

He then openned the drain plug and drained what little fluid was in the transmission, and the condition was very deteriorated. The manual calls for 2 qts, whcih was installed, and did not help the condition of the transmission. Point to note is that there are no leaks in the transmission case! Thus, it is clear the Jiffy Lube drained the fluid and neglected to install new fluid.

THe transmission is damaged to the point of needing replacement. Honda charges $3100.00 for a re-built transmission, 560.00 to install, and 500.00 for a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing! Please help. I think Jify needs to be accountable for this cost!

This morning Aug 4th, I went to store No 872 in Falls Church and the Mechanic asked me whether I want the same oil & filter used in the past. I replied yes please. Upon check out he run my credit card for $46.16. I asked him that I always paid $35.82 ($34.99+.83 tax), I asked him to view my last month 6/11 record and he would not pull it. He said some stores belong to Jiffy Lube Corp and some are not and our prices are different. I told him that I went to different stores in the past three years and they all charged me 34.99. He called another guy, Brian and both moved to another computer and the cashier flicked his eye to Brian and Brian repeated the same answer.

I have receipts from the past 4 visits and all of them have the same type of oil for $34.99, except this store ripped me off for $46.16. I was embarraced in front of other people who were waiting in line at 8am and he pulled an addition $10.34 from my pocket. I am very upset and I will inform Jiffy Lube Corp Office.

As a result my engine overheated, resulting in additional automotive repairs on July 13, 2008. When the mechanic checked my fluids he informed me that there was no coolant in my system, there was brown gunk (reason for flush), and only 1 liter of water which I kept. The rest of the water had evaporated, thus causing my engine to overheat.

To add insult to injury when I brought this to Tony's attention on July 14, 2008 he willingly gave me a false refund receit for $70.Upon checking my records I eventually determined that the reciet belong to someone else's credit card account and I payed cash. On July 30, 2008 I returned back to the store to get this corrected, but Tony simply said there was nohing he could do for his mistakes, and refuse to give me his return policy in writing, I never received a refund.

On Sunday, July 27, 2008, I took my vehicle into a Jiffy Lube in Jacksonville, Florida for a routine oil change out of convenience. This trip was anything but convenient. The techs working in the shop told me it would be about 15 minutes, however, three hours later my vehicle was being towed across town to the dealership. Jiffy Lube stated the dealership cross threaded the oil plug last causing the bolt in the oil pan to come loose, which made it impossible for Jiffy Lube to take the oil plug out of the vehicle to change my oil. However, the dealership and two other independent certified mechanics both stated there is no way possible to cross thread the oil plug without leaking oil because it would not create a tight seal. Which I never leaked any oil prior to this incident on my driveway where the vehicle is always parked.

Also, I was given my gasket by an employee at Jiffy Lube, which was not broke. All parties involved, except Jiffy Lube stated there is no way possible the gasket could come off the oil plug without the oil plug coming out. All parties involved also stated the bolt on the oil pan (that is welded to the oil pan) cannot be cross threaded by trying to take the oil plug out, only when putting the oil plug in. Needless, to say my car did NOT have ANY problems upon driving into Jiffy Lube. I have incurred about $600 in expenses from this entire episode and Jiffy Lube does not want to take responsibility.

I originally spoke with the on call district manager the day of my oil change to try to get Jiffy Lube to cover my tow expense, however, they stated it was not their fault and I would have to come out of pocket for the tow fee. The next day (Monday, July 28, 2008) the district manager, Mike O'M. followed up with me and we were in contact numerous times throughout the day. Mr. O'M. contradicted himself numerous times while on the phone. For example, he stated maybe it was not my gasket and when I replied your employee gave it to me, he changed the story to well maybe it just fell off over the plug. Since Mr. O'M. and I could not make any progress I asked who is supervisior was and spoke with Joe T., the regional manager for Jiffy Lube.

Mr. T. went by the dealership on July 29, 2008, to meet with the service manager at the dealership to examine the damage and take pictures of the damage. In the meantime, I also took a picture of the gasket I had and emailed it to Mr. T. The service manager at Jeep is going to clean the parts and give them to me for future use. On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Mr. T. contacted me and stated he would not be refunding my money and the dealership was at fault. I will be taking this to another level and contacting an attorney to settle this manner. I am roughly out of pocket $600 from this incident.

i do not like being tricked and cheated. i wound up paying about twice as much for a simple oil change. i verified that with both goodyear and firestone who offer oil change services in merced, and they told me special oil is never needed, especially on high mileage vehicles because it makes little difference. jiffy lube over charged me between 10 and 15 dollars, & many hours of trouble trying to get a refund, which was refused.

My family has done business with the Warrenton MO Jiffy Lube since it opened years ago. I took my farm truck in to have the oil changed about 5 weeks ago. The following week I took my car in for an oil change. Within a week the car's engine started to knock badly, a couple of days later, my oil light came on. Fortunately I was very near a Jiffy Lube in Lake St. Louis, I pulled in and told them that my oil light was on.

They checked the oil and showed me that it would not register on the oil stick, they changed the filter and filled the oil. Today I started on a road trip with the truck and horse trailer, I noticed an oil spot under the truck, I had also been hearing a knock that I thought was the muffler, fortunately I decided to check the oil even though I had only driven about 800 miles since the oil change, it barely showed on the oil stick! I put 3 quarts of oil in and started the trip. I stopped in Troy MO to get gas and when I looked under the truck-oil was streaming out! I begged a gentleman to help me, he crawled under the truck and tightened the oil filter, he said that it was so loose that it was a wonder that it had not fallen off. I then put another 2 quarts of oil in and went on my way.

The second is a Flip Mino digital video camera with an inscription from my son saying; 1% inspiration 99% perspiration, Thanks for teaching me the value of hard work. Love Allan. This Flip camera was a design project of his and the inscription makes the camera priceless.

I have long been a customer of Jiffy Lube and while this Jiffy Lube is out of my normal path, I stopped there because the bays were open and it was near a property I was visiting that morning. The cameras were brought along to record the finished state of the property before it goes on the market. I arrived at the Jiffy Lube around 9:45 am pulled up outside the bay and put the two cameras in the center console along with my ipod. The car was pulled into the bay and finished after 10:20. Upon leaving the lot, I looked in the console for the ipod and found the cameras were gone.

Immediately returning to the store, I told Anthony Cooper, the store manager, we had a problem. He protested that it couldnt have been his staff and began to give them testimonials. The police officer arrived soon after. Observations: I was stupid in trusting [the] staff, and gave someone the opportunity to take my possessions. None the less [they] have a problem with this store. While the cameras were not found, to my knowledge the employee cars were not searched and the exterior of the premises were not searched.

On March 25, 2008, I took my Envoy to Jiffy Lube on Clarkson and Manchester (in St. Louis county, MO - an individually owned store). I paid $350 for an oil change, transmission service, differential service and an air filter. Shortly thereafter, I noticed my car was starting to act up (it was about 2 weeks after the service was done). I didn't think much of it until it started to get significantly worse (in May). It stopped shifting in the higher gears and I realized I had to do something. I had been out of town for a week at that time and I had to find the time to get it to the shop (I'm a single girl that lives alone with one vehicle). I'm also working on my masters half time. As soon as I got a chance, I took it back to Jiffy Lube (7/7/08) - yes I know that's a while, but they still jacked my car up. Conveniently, the Jiffy Lube I originally took it to was closed down. Ironically, there was another Jiffy Lube directly across the street (also at Clarkson and Manchester) - stupid I know. So, I took it over there. Chad, the assistant manager, said that the transmission had been overfilled and that he was going to redo the transmission service. He also said that my transmission wasn't ruined as I had stated when I first got there. He redid service and tried driving it. It was still messed up. He came back and said, Do you have your receipt so I can check to see who originally did this - I need to know who to punish. And, he went on to say, regardless, your transmission is messed up and this whole situation shouldn't have gone down this way. We're going to have to send you to our automotive guy. He give's me his manager's business card with Mike's Automotive written on the back of it. While I'm still in the parking lot of Jiffy Lube, I call Mike's Automotive (their guy) and make an appointment with them. Of course, I couldn't get in there until Wednesday July 9, 2008. I dropped it off Wednesday morning (8:30) for Mike's to look at it. At the end of the day, some guy named Angelo called me and told me that I needed a new transmission and that mine was shot. He said he was trying to get a hold of Jiffy Lube's District Manager, Mike Coyne. He said he'd call me back as soon as he got a hold of the District Manager. Well, I didn't hear from him for the rest of that day. They never called me on Thursday either. So, Thursday afternoon, I called Mike's Automotive again. They said they hadn't heard anything from the District Manager yet. At this point, my suspicions were coming true, they're going to deny responsibility. So, I tried calling Jiffy Lube and they wouldn't answer (I'm assuming they have caller id). After trying to call Jiffy Lube several times, I decided to call Mike's again. They still hadn't heard from the DM, so my mom and I head up to Jiffy Lube to talk to the manager there. Finally, by going to the shop (mind you, my car has been at this Mike's Automotive the whole time), this got the ball rolling. Inside, the manager called the district manager and about 15 minutes later he called me. They called me about 4 times on Friday asking different questions. (In my mind, they were trying to get their story straight so they could deny responsibility). In the end, Mike Coyne said that it wasn't their fault and that they wouldn't pay for the rebuild. They said that overfilling the transmission wouldn't cause the problems that my transmission has. So, basically, it's not their fault and they're not paying for it! Gee, like I didn't see that coming. Of course, they're going to try to get out of paying for a new transmission! My problems are: If overfilling it wouldn't cause any problems, why did Chad hurry up and redo the service to see if that corrected the problem? When we asked Mike's Automotive what exactly was wrong with the car, the guy didn't know, he just knew it needed a new transmission. So, if they're aren't exactly sure what's wrong with it, how do they know it's not Jiffy Lube's fault? (Of course, they're on Jiffy Lube's side) Yes, I know I drove on it for a couple months when I knew it was bad, but I only put 2600 miles on it and I didn't exactly have all the time in the world! Regardless, it was originally messed up by Jiffy Lube!! My car never had any transmission problems until they stuck their stupid hands in there! I just want to warn people so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I plan on suing Jiffy Lube. I tried to call Jiffy Lube headquarters and they said that it was an individually owned operation (owned by Heartland Automotive Services, Inc. out of Omaha, NE). Naturally, they couldn't do anything either. This is all just another way to screw with customers! Naturally, I'm beyond angry at this point. I'll keep you all up-to-date on this. BEWARE OF JIFFY LUBE!!!

We called the jiffy lube back they send someone out to replace the cap and fill the radiator. Well since then we noticed that it still was overheating and just not acting correctly. they sent me to their mechanic and he checked it out saying everything was fine. I took them at that word.

I returned to the Maysville ROad store and spoke with the manager, Bill. He said he would forward my issue to his home office. The next day I received a call from the district manager. He asked me to forward copies of the repair bill and that he would investigate the matter.

About three weeks later I received a call from the district manager. He told me he had concluded he could not prove Jiffy Lube DID NOT make an error and he had directed his office to send me a check for the entire repair. I have received the check!. Their may be "horror Stories" from other areas but the folks at Jiffy Lube of Indiana did just what they said they would do. There was inconvienence to us in this issue and there may well be other problems another time. But this time, Jiffy Lube of Indiana came through like a champ!

Windshield cowling was removed to get to the cabin air filter. The cowling apparently was not properly reseated to prevent water from entering the heater/AC blower motor. On June 11, 2008, I took my car for an oil change and flush and fill, the work was done, 6 days later, my car quit working, when I opened the hood, there was a flush and fill connector from Jiffy Lube lying between the engine and th Distributor, it has produced enough heat transfer to melt one of the wires to my distributor, I had to miss a day of work as I realized this at 9:30 at night, I replaced the distributor only to find out I had purchased a faulty distributor there for I had my mechanic look at it and he than put a new distributor on it and it now works, I then took the distributor with the melted wire and the flush and fill connecto to the Jiffy Lube, the manager at that time stated to call the corporate office which I had already done and they would re-imburse me the 483.60 for the repair at my mechanic. Now today 06-25-08, the manger notified me he never said that and Steve at the main office is denying my claim. I still have the distributor and the flush and fill connector along with pictures to go with this. My wife also saw the connector on the car engine next to the distributor. All I want is Jiffy Lube to refund my 483.60 for the repair, I am not asking for the tow charge, the lost days pay or a refund on the work they did, I believe I am being more than fair, Thank you in advance if you can help me.

Went in for an oil change at Jiffy lube on a Sunday then Next day, my car started making loud noises coming from the engine or front of vehicle. Brought it to my mechanic, they noticed that differential fluid was drained completely, they wouldn't touch it until Jiffy lube had a look and asked me to have it towed back there. I got my insurance company involved because I have roadside assistance for towing, but instead they decided it would be best for me to have it towed to a transmission shop and an investigation of the problem commenced on the following day.

The investigation found Jiffy lube to be at fault. Because the vehicle left the shop, Jiffy lubes garage insurance does not cover the repairs which are in an excess of $1500 depending on the damage. The vehicle is currently sitting at the tranny shop while I wait to speak with the Jiffy lube regional manager (takes 48-72 hours after a complaint is filed with Jiffy lube international for the regional manager to contact me - there contact information is not available otherwise) Depending on what 'they' decide to do, after they meet with the owner of the tranny shop, 'they' will either pay for the repairs or I will have to pay then sue for reimbursement.

I currently have no vehicle and at this point, I have no idea how long it will take for Jiffy lube to make this decision for me to take the next step. I'm very frustrated because I'm not sure what else I should or need to do at this point while I wait.

Took car in on 5-16-08 for oil change and tire rotation. As soon as I pulled away the check engine light came on. I went back to Jiffy Lube and told them the light came on. They hooked the car up to a computer reader for the error code and told me there was a loose sensor on the air filter and that they fixed the problem. I left only to go to use my car later to find the check engine light on again. By that time Jiffy Lube was closed so I had to wait until the next day to deal with it. The next day I took the car back to Jiffy Lube and the same manager that fixed the problem was there. I told him the light came on again. It took 4 technicians and a manager to look at the car for about 45 minutes just to tell me that the error code that is coming up they don't know what it is and I need to take it to the dealership. At that time I called my mechanic and asked him what the code was for he said it was the mass air flow sensor. I then asked the manager at JL to show me on the car where the mass air flow sensor was. He said he isn't a mechanic and doesn't know that part. By that time we were on the phone with the general manager demanding someone fix our car. They sent us to their mechanic. Once their mechanice opened the hood and showed us where the mass air flow sensor was we saw immediately that the wires going to the part were ripped out. Mind you at least 4 technicians and the manager had looked at it at least two times now in so many days and couldn't see the problem. This part is the part they take off when they pull out your air filter to show you. We went back to jiffy lube and without any help were left to go to our mechanice to get the car fixed so we could drive home. Apparently, Jiffy Lube requires an investigation of the problem before they will aurthorize repair. At this time we are still waiting for a call back on the investigation but have already paid for the repair. In the mean time we discovered an oil leak and our mechanics says the pan bolt is stripped. We now have to take off from work early to get to Jiffy lube before they close to have the oil drained and a new bolt put in because they wouldn't authorize my mechanic to do the work even though my car was already there and I wouldn't need to leave work early if they could do the work. We also have at leasat 5 lug nut caps missing since the tire rotation.

Spent 6 hours on Saturday trying to resolve problem Jiffy lube caused and now have to take time off work and hope nothing else goes wrong. The oil change and tire rotation cost 57.00 so far the mechanic fees are 152.00.

I went to this Jiffy Lube location to get a simple oil change as I was simply feeling too lazy to do it myself as I usually do. They tried to inform me that my windshield wiper blades were badly damaged and I could have vision problems if it rained again. That seemed a little odd to me as I had just put them on 2 weeks ago and they worked perfectly fine the previous night during a heavy downpour. Not only that, but they didn't do any of the signature service.

On the receipt it says that I declined to have my windows washed and floor vacuumed. It says that they filled my windshield washer fluid but when I checked the next day it was only 1/4 full. Now here is the kicker, as I was standing there near the end I watched some little old lady drive in in a brand new looking Toyota Camry, they told her that she needed this that and the other and if she didn't her car would break down before long. I didn't say anything but I should have, that simply isn't right.

I have serviced my vehicles at jiffylube for a few years and never had any issues. Unfortunately I was not as fortunate on my last visit. At their recommendation I had them fill my car with synthetic oil because my vehicle had approximately 46,000 miles and they told me that synthetic oil costs more but that it is better as your milege increases. They also told me that oil change intervals increase to 6000 miles using synthetic oil instead of the standard 3000 miles with regular oils. This oil change took place Nov. 30 2007.

I left the station thinking everything was fine. I drove my vehicle approximately 5000 miles and I began to hear an unusual sound. I looked under the hood, under the suspension during the course of 2 weeks trying to find the nature of the noise. On 5/13/2008 on my way home from work the noise began to get noticeably louder so I finally decided to check the oil. To my surprise there was no oil at all on the dipstick. I immediately went to my storage shed and found 1 1/4 quarts of oil which I put in my car. I checked the dipstick and still no visible sign of oil.

I told my wife then I called Jiffylube. I asked who I was speaking to and the person who answered told me her name was Mari. She went on to tell me she was a manager at the location. I asked her to pull up the record on the last service on my car and she told me. Then I explained to her the situation. She went on to tell me that on my last visit that they had recommended that I change the antifreeze in my car which I had refused. She said that maybe the antifreeze had broken down causing my car to burn oil. I told her that there was no way that that type of condition could explain the type of oil loss I was describing. I told her that there was no visible sign of oil on the dipstick at all. Her response to this was that 1 quart low could account for this condition. I told her that I would like to agree with her but that I had pulled out what I had in my storage shed (1 1/4 quarts) and put it in my engine and that the dipstick still did not show anything. At this point she said to drive in and that they would gladly top off my car. I asked her what time they closed and she told me 6 p.m. I got there at 5:30 p.m. and 2 mechanics along with Mari were waiting.

They pulled my car into the bay. One mechanic got under the hole and he yelled up to Mari that the oil plug showed no signs of being tampered with and that there were no signs of oil leaks anywhere. Then she directed the other mechanic to remove the radiator cap and check the antifreeze which checked out fine. At this point she went into the office while I stood in the garage area with the 2 mechanics. Approximately 8 minutes later a dark full sized SUV pulled up and a large man walked up to me and said, I'm the manager. What do you want me to do about this? My response, If in fact you are the manager then tell me what you're going to do for me because I spoke with Mari over the phone and she told me she was the manager and she told me to come in and that my car would be topped off

He then went into the office and returned telling me that I had not had my car serviced in six months and that I already had over 5000 miles since the service. I told him that I knew this and that they had told me that the oil change intervals were good for 6000 miles with synthetic oil at which point he explained that the warranty is 3 months or 6000 miles. He then went on to say that because of the 3 month clause but mostly because of my attitude that he did not have to top off my engine. That's when I told him that I did not come in with an attitude. I explained to him that I had told Mari and the 2 mechanics that there was no doubt in my mind that an honest mistake had been made. Maybe one mechanic thought that another had filled my car. At that point I told him that I did not need his attitude and that he had lost 2 long time customers. (My wife and I) I told them that I would take my business elsewhere.

I immediately drove to Autozone and bought 4 quarts of synthetic oil and my car took 2 more full quarts. Altogether my vehicle was down 3 1/4 quarts. Right now my car is being worked on and will need a partial overhaul. The mechanic told me that the noise is a cracked piston. Unfortunately I have learned a costly but valuable lesson. In the future I will be checking my dipstick before I leave the service station lot when I have my car serviced. There was no question in my mind that this belligerent manager was going to deny any responsibility. I really did not know what recourse if any I had under these circumstances.

The mechanic I took my vehicle to is going to charge me 1,500 for the overhaul and I am currently out of a car for 1 week if all goes well.

On 3/27/08 Jiffy Lube store located 1802 N. Parsons Ave., Seffner, Florida 33584 (Store #989) serviced my girlfriend's car (2000 Daewoo Nubira). I took the car and had it serviced as a surprise to her. Total cost of service was $193.64. The service done included: engine flush, oil change and transmission fluid flush and change. The car smoked a lot after this service and would clear up after some driving. The big reason for getting this full service was becasue we were moving to Georgia and wanted to make sure the car was in tip top shape.

Four days after that, we started out on our final move from Brandon, Florida to our now home in Monroe, Georgia. As we were almost past Gainesville, Florida her car shot a rod. The engine just blew!! This almost caused an accident because something from the blow shot up from the road and hit the car behind me on the highway. We had the car towed that night (3/31/08) to a shop in Gainesville and contacted Jiffy Lube shortly after that. Jiffy Lube sent an investigative group to check the validity of the claim that their service caused the engine to blow. On April 3rd their Customer Service rep Steve Tynan informed me that they could not substainiate that it was due to their service. Without removing the engine at our cost no more could or would be done. End of story case closed!

Since the car was my girlfriend's means of getting to work she was then forced to get another car. Due to poor credit history she was forced to get a co-signer, luckily her mother agreed to do so. The economic issue of having a $200 service 4 days prior, loss of the vehicle because it was no longer driveable, and the expense of a new car (used but new to us) was an additional $10,000 plus then add the financing to that! Jiffy Lube offered no reimbursement of any kind!

4/26/08 brought 1993 Range Rover into Jiffy Lube on La Brea and Melrose for it's 3000 Mile Oil change as have since 2006 and was up sold on a transmission flush... drove car home 1 1/2 miles and parked it where it remained overnight, next morning 4/27 got in car to drive to Palm Springs from Los Angeles at 6:00 am turned on engine and noted low coolant light light displayed so delayed trip immediately and went into subject Jiffy Lube and asked for a manager and communicated coolant light trouble.

Assistant Manager Alex claimed he worked on the car the day before and looked under hood and opened coolant reservoir and claimed coolant was low due to the need to settle fluids as a result of radiator flush, he topped it off and told me car was ok to drive to Palm Springs now.

Departed LA for Palm Springs got as far as East LA and coolant light came on again, pulled over into Mobile station lifted hood and observed coolant reservoir tank spraying coolant from tank, bought big bottle of coolant from mobile station unwound cap and poured in coolant, coolant light no longer displayed. Next used GPS on blackberry to locate nearest Jiffy Lube, 6 miles west on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, arrived at Sunset Jiffy Lube and was told that work warranty would have to be performed at Jiffy Lube where service was provided as each store is a franchise, was offered a top up of the coolant and dialed La Brea store number, spoke to Alex and was told to drive back to his shop where he would fix the problem.

Arrived Alex looked at the car and expressed that I should take the car to my mechanic as the reservoir was clearly leaking and was told not Jiffy Lube's problem. Drove car home after Alex topped off Coolant and left it overnight.

Next day took car into Rover shop ( they only work on Rover's) and was told radiator hoses were loose and that coolant tank needed to be replaced, and engine tested $200 plus dollars later was told car failed engine test and that problem was bigger than thought. I authorized mechanic to investigate thoroughly which required removing engine block to reveal cylinder sleeves and that a very small leak in engine was now present and that the only way to fix the problem with certainty would be to replace the engine at an estimated cost of $4800.

Next day called Jiffy Lube and requested to ask who to speak to in order to remedy what my mechanic referred to as gross negligence by Jiffy Lube for not tightening the radiator hoses and or bleeding the radiator after flushing radiator and refreshing coolant, which resulted in air rather than coolant flowing through the radiator which resulted in engine failure and leak. Louis franchise manager at Alamitos Enterprises / Jiffy lube sent their inspector to view my car and four days later told me they would not take responsibility for problem. May 9th 2008 have faxed Alamitos Enterprises Llc (Jiffy Lube) a letter of demand to fix and pay for the damages.

he then told me to [expletive] off and go home to [expletive] my mother you piece of [expletive] customer! then he walked back into the shop without a a care in the world! i then left in hate and anger. i told my wife what happened and she said to write a complaint on this web site. so i did and i will never ever go to another jiffy lube again. total disrepect and i don't know how people go their all the time. i wish to tell everyone who reads this to not go to commack jiffy lube again.

by the way i found out the managers full name and it is joe meyerherm. he was dumb enough to me give one of his cards before my confrontation happened with him while i was deciding. i have been trying to get in touch with the real owners who run that place specifically. but no one has got back to me yet. so i hope this gets me somewhere. thank you very much.

I took my 95 Bonneville to Jiffy Lube for an oil change on March 16, 2008 at the 2551 Western Ave, Park Forest, IL location. A month later my heads blew in my engine due to the technician not tightening my radiator cap and I immediately went to the Park Forest location to inform them what happened. I spoke with the manager Calvin regarding this issue with my engine, he stated an investigation will take place and they will determine if they can fix my car. Days later, I was informed that Jiffy Lube was not going to fix my engine because there was not enough antifreeze splashed around the engine. Jiffy lube did not complete the investigation within hours; it took days so naturally the antifreeze that was splashed on the engine was dried by that time. My engine was running well until I took it to Jiffy Lube for an oil change.

A few weeks later we had a big rain storm and my car was leaking inside under the dashboard, my carpet and foam pad are completely soaked. Icalled Chris at Jiffy Lube and told him what problem I was having he said bring it up. I took the car back up to him and he looked it over and said he couldnt find anything wrong I advised him that I would have to take the car to the Chevy dealer to have them check it, Chris told me that if they did anything wrong that they would take care of it. The Chevy dealer called me and told me that the cabin filter seal was not put back on properly, I had him call Chris and Chris went to the dealer to check it out. Chris called me on the phone to inform me that he has talked to other dealers and that the seal shaking out of place is a common problem on the 2004 Monte Carlo. Thats news to me. I went in for an oil change in February. At the end of the job they reported that they lost or damaged five of my lug nut caps. They promised to order them and replace them. I have been through this before so I requested that the manager give me a note stating that they would replace the caps. He said to check back in a week and he would have them. When I returned, he was no longer with the company but I showed the note to the new manager who said there were no lug caps ordered but he would do so. He said to check back in a week. One week later, still no lug caps. for about a month I would get a call saying that the caps had not come in. Now I no longer get calls and I still have no lug caps. Here's the thing; I came in for an oil change. I allowed their high-pressure sales people to sell me a wheel rotation. Basically, I trusted them with my car. After performing the wheel rotation, they have damaged my lug caps and aren't too eager to get them replaced. I am now thinking that if I had told them no in the first place, I would still have my lug caps. Moreover, I am a former mechanic. I have ordered enough parts from dealers to know that it does not take three months to order lug nut caps. Especially for a car as common as a Pontiac Montana. Don't you not think that it is a problem for a customer to trust your store with his vehicle and he gets it returned in less of a condition than when he trusted it to them? I do. I do know this, Jiffy Lube won't do my next oil change.

My wife took her Hyundai Santa Fe in for a standard oil change and was talked into a change of transmission fluid. Prior to taking the vehicle into this particular store the vehicle was not leaking any fluid. Following the service the vehicle began seriously leaking power steering fluid. Apparently the technician may have either loosened the connecting hose or loosened the plug that is associated with the power steering when draining the transmission fluid. When I attempted to have the weekend assistant manager pull it onto the block to look underneath I was basically told it's not their problem that they don't service power steering, and as I attempted to explain they may have caused the leak I was told that's my problem.

My wife was nearly involved in a serious accident as she had no steering while driving down a very fast moving street at 45MPH and had zero control of the vehicle. Additionally the fluid has drained into my driveway as-well-as the street in front of my home. Right now as a direct result of this I fear the steering may be damaged. I have parked the vehicle until I can get it into a certified Hyundai dealership.

I went to Jiffy Lube on 4/19/08 to have a routine oil change. The girl at the counter said that the only thing that the computer was saying I needed was to have my tires rotated, so I said ok. It seemed to take a long time for the guy to rotate my tires but I thought, no it's fine, they know what they are doing. I was uncomfortable with the fact that it only takes a couple of seconds to lossen up each lugnut on the tire and this guy was spending a lot of time using the instrument that takes them off, but I thought, no they know what they are doing. So when he was finally done I went home.

The next day my boyfriend went outside and came back in and told me that my front drivers side tire was flat. So I called up Jiffy lube and told them what happened and he stated that it had nothing to do with them since all they did was rotate them. He was not nice at all so I decided to go somewhere else to have it fixed. My boyfriend started to take the flat tire off and when he got to the last lugnut, it broke in half. I called up Big 10 Tires and asked if they could fix it and they said yes. So we put the spare tire on and went there. After looking at ALL the tires the man came and got me and stated that he wanted to show me something. He brought me out to my car and asked me who the last person was who did anything to my tires. I told him that I just had them rotated the day before at Jiffy Lube. He then showed me that EVERY lugnut on my car was put on BACKWARDS! He told me that at anytime my tires could have come off while I was driving.

While he was trying to fix the problem another one of the lugnuts broke from being put on the wrong way, which cost me even more money to have fixed. While I was there I called back to Jiffy Lube and told the guy what was going on and he said to bring it to him to look at. I told him that I was at Big 10 Tires and they were fixing it and he told me that if they're fixing that there was nothing they could do for me. So I hung up on him because I was soooo furious with him. I could have been in an accident and been hurt or worse, hurt someone else due to the negligence of the people who work at Jiffy Lube and on top of that for him to be rude was unacceptable.

After paying for them to $19.99 to have them rotated at Jiffy Lube, I then had to go to Big 10 Tires and pay $72.73 to have their mistakes fixed by someone who knew what they were doing.

But nothing was said so I asked the technician, Was there a problem with my car, I saw you banging on it He proceeded to tell me about the poor craftsmanship of Chrsyler, Dodge, Plymouth and told me I should not bring my car to Jiffy Lube but instead should take it to a dealership

It is now March and I was contemplating where I should take my car for service, remembering what Jiffy Lube had told me and trying to make a decision of where to take my car for service. On Friday, 4/4/08 on my way home from work I heard this loud noise, I pulled my car over and looked underneath and found that the bottom piece of my car had come off. This means the Jiffy Lube personnel had no leave or rights to open the trunk of my vehicle, per the district manager. Prior to going to Jiffy Lube, I had cleaned out my vehicle. While doing so, I had placed my laptop, along with some other various artifacts, in the trunk of my car. While at Jiffy Lube, I was there for an abnormal amount of time, as my first credit card was declined. I was awaiting the delivery of my debit card, when I overheard one of the technicians calling out to another, just let her have it for free.. who cares?

After leaving Jiffy Lube, I made a quick stop at my home to pick up my dog, and drove out to my parents' rural home. When I got home that evening, and went to get my computer out of the trunk, the laptop was missing. Giving Jiffy Lube the benefit of the doubt, I scoured my home, my vehicle, my boyfriend's home, and asked my parents to do a sweep of their home as well. It was nowhere to be found. I tried to call the Jiffy Lube store I had visited, and they had no answering machine. The line is also a fax line, so I was unable to leave any type of message.

The next day, when I contacted the corporate offices, I was told by the general manager that this location conveniently lacks surveillance. Besides, as I had not notified them the day the laptop went missing, he also advised me that he was unable to do any type of search at this point. Thus, he advised, he was obligated to take the word of his employees that the laptop was not stolen from my vehicle. This is because, he says, others have lobbied complaints about the store, only to find their items between or under the seats. No repercussions, no consequences, no way to prove the store stole the laptop, and no investigation of the situation. I have promised a full apology should I find my laptop between the seats of my car.

The laptop cost me approximately $1200 when I purchased it a year ago. Jiffy Lube will not take any type of responsibility. This location lacks any type of surveillance that might hold them responsible for ANY type of misgivings that may take place here.

Our van needed an oil change as soon as we could. So I had my wife take it to Jiffy Lube. I told her to only get an oil changed and nothing else, since I know they try to sell you as much service as they possibly can. After the vehicle was in getting serviced, a technician came in (if you want to call them that) and told her she needed a fuel filter. She of course said no. They went on to explain that the fuel filter was rusted and not just surface rust, but rusted all the way through, from the inside out. I'm glad she listened to what I said about not taking any other service no matter what they said. She told me when she got home what they said.

So I looked up the service schedule for the vehicle. It said our particular vehicle needs an inspection of the fuel filter at 60,000 and replace as needed. So I went out and climbed under the vehicle and took a look for myself. It was not rusted at all, not a hint of rust; it looked like it was new. This makes me really mad since they tried to take advantage of her. They wanted to charge $49.99 for a $10 filter, and I know it would only take about 10 minutes to replace it myself.

This isn't the first time this has happened. They also wanted to replace the license plate bulbs and turn signal bulbs in a brand new vehicle. I said no and drove the vehicle to a parts store to take a look, and nothing needed replacing. Only reason I had the wife take this vehicle to JL is because I couldn't get the drain plug out. I asked him to check the system to make sure I had no air pockets, and he told me that it was impossible and wouldn't even look at it.

I went to a mechanic and they informed me that all fault was Jiffy Lube's. They did not do the work properly as for my car model, the radiator sits in a different position in the car and when you add the antifreeze you must add it through the hose and not the standard way. The car overheating, thermostat blowing, was caused because of the lack of antifreeze. The repair was $200.00.

They informed me that oil had been placed in the antifreeze resulting in engine problems. After contacting JLI and entering a claim, Jeffrey Benefield said that a part was recalled on the vehicle resulting in the mixture of oil and antifreeze. I immediately went to my Chevy Dealership only to be told that there was no such recall, and if there was, the two parts do not intersect with each other. None the less, i repeatedly called Mr Benefield to relay the situation, only to have my calls and messages not returned. Oil was placed in the antifreeze compartment resulting in oil raising through engine hoses and getting into intake gasket. A full engine flush was required, hoses replaced and new intake gasket. The dealership quoted $1,700, but I found a reasonable mechanic that charged me $700. During this time I had to rent a vehicle during the repair phase.

We drove back to jiffy lube and told them the problem, we asked if they had put in the proper transmission fluid. They said that would never happen and to bring it back the next morning and they would fix it. So we had to try and drive our car home.

We called volvo and they said a v40 turbo needed a special type of transmission fluid. We called jiffy lube and they agreed that they put in the wrong type, they located the proper fluid, had me come in, and changed the fluid. When I was waiting, one of the guys said that their computer was wrong and it was their fault that this happened and it would be easy to fix. After an hour and a half of waiting they took the car around the parking lot and said it was driving fine. I thanked them and drove out of the parking lot and around the corner when it started losing power and having problems with the gears. I drove it right back and told the tech to get into the car with me to see what I was talking about. I drove a few feet with the tech in the car and it happened again.

He said that this problem would be fixed that they would send a tow truck to my house to pickup the car that day. That never happened. My husband called them and then they started asking questions and saying that it was a preexisting condition. My car was driving perfectly and had no problems before this. The general manager called and said that it is not their fault and are now doing nothing about it. So I now have a broken car sitting in my drive way and jiffy lube are not taking responsibility for them messing up.

I purchased a used vehicle in Idaho and was driving it home. On my way home I happened through Spokane, Washington, and saw a Jiffy Lube open on a Sunday. I decided that since it was a used car (had driven it with no problems approximately 500 miles before I got to the Jiffy Lube), I would get the oil changed. The technician stated that my coolant was not good for a low temperature (according to him only good to +10F) and suggested a coolant flush, I bought it. I left the store after that, and the heater was blowing cold air. Figuring that it was new coolant and needed a chance to warm up, I paid little attention to it. After going approximately 5-10 miles the overheat light came on, and within a few miles the oil light came on. I called the shop and described the problems I was having, and he requested that I return it to another shop. Then he stated that the other shop wasn't answering their phones so he wasn't sure they were open. He asked it I could get it back to him at the original shop. Not knowing whether it was going to break down or not, I told him I would try to get it back.

Unfortunately on my way to his shop, the car died and preceded to catch on fire due to no coolant in the system. I contacted them, and the manager (Charles) and he stated that they had made a mistake by not checking the vehicle prior to it leaving. Evidently they are required when doing a coolant change to start the vehicle and let it burp to ensure that the coolant level was proper. It was not done, and now the car sits with electrical damage. The car was purchased used with no expressed or written warranty.

The vehicle is not a total loss but will require approximately $1000 worth of repairs to get it back up and running properly. The Jiffy Lube in question denied all claims of wrong-doing. Currently I am working on a resolution on this problem and have contacted the corporate office of Jiffy Lube. I have also contacted the owner of the Jiffy Lube as well as the car dealership that I purchased the car from. I am at this point an emotional wreck from this, as the car is more than 240 miles away in some mechanic's shop that does not do any work on electrical systems.

He informed me that the following items were performed on my vehicle: 1. a total of 6 quarts of oil (10W 30) was put in my vehicle; 2. the tire pressure was checked; 3. windshield washer fluid topped; 4. power steering fluid topped; 5. transmission fluid topped; and 6. the battery water was checked. Mr. Mann indicated that my vehicle required service on: transmission, transfer case, radiator and gear box. Mr. Mann asked if I could drive the vehicle to Jiffy Lube but I indicated to him that if I drove the vehicle, it would probably cause more damage. At that point, Mr. Mann stated that he would come to look at my vehicle to see what was wrong with it. At 2:41 p.m., Mr. Mann called me back and stated that after speaking with his District Manager, Tyrone McKenzie, he could not leave his store unattended but mentioned that he would come look at my vehicle when he got off of work at 5:30 p.m. However, he never showed up or called.

On January 20, 2008, my mechanic came to my residence, where the car was located, and reviewed my vehicle. My mechanic informed me that there was too much oil put into my vehicle and it flooded. Since the extra oil had no where to go, it caused the vehicle to smoke and have a small fire which possibly caused the head gasket to bust. After finding out this information, I immediately called Mr. Mann and stated to him what my mechanic told me and I expressed how disappointed I was in this service and asked what he could do to fix this problem. He said that I could come into the store and fill out a complaint form. I told him that it would be impossible for me to do that since I don't have a working vehicle. I asked for his fax number to the store and a number to the District Managers office which he kept referring me to the 1-800 number on the back of my receipt. At that point, I ended the conversation. I feel that Jiffy Lube wrongfully and negligently serviced my vehicle and I would like for the damages be repaired immediately. I am a full-time mother of five children and must provided food, clothing and shelter to them. Without a vehicle, this is virtually impossible. I have been forced to rent a vehicle from Enterprise which will cost more money that I do not have. At some point, I will probably need to take time off of work which will be an even bigger problem.

I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change on December 6, 2007. Jiffy Lube serviced the vehicle, sending me home with a report of everything that they checked. This report assured me that all my oil and fluid levels had been checked and filled, if necessary. This report clearly states that the level of the transmission /transaxle oil was full. On December 27t,h I was driving to work and my vehicle began making loud banging and grinding noises. I brought it to a service station near my place of business and they found that the transmission oil was burned, black and low...nearly empty. This caused severe damange to the front end differential and ultimately the transmission. While the vehicle is an older one, the previous owner assured me that he had replaced the transmission just the year before and it had been running well prior to our visit to Jiffy Lube. (We had purchased the vehicle just before Thanksgiving of 2007.)

We ended up having to replace the entire transmission as the low fluids had caused part of the unit to literally melt. We were out of the use of our vehicle for 3 weeks as they had difficulty locating a used transmission that would fit the make and model of our car. The total cost of these repairs including parts, labor and taxes came to roughly $1900.00. Realizing that the bluebook value of the car is less than this, we decided to repair it anyway because we simply could not afford to purchase a new vehicle that wouldn't have similar or worse problems at this time. The repair bill caused us to use most of our savings. We are a single income family (my husband is disabled) and this has caused a great deal of financial strain. Due to the distance of my place of employment from our home, I cannot be without a vehicle so the repairs were imparative. I believe Jiffy Lube should be held responsible for their negligence because there was no evidence of a leak within the old transmission. Therefore, either they did not check the level and just said they did, or they did not seal the cap properly and it came loose. There is no other way I could have lost that much fluid in such a small space of time.

I took my car in for the usual oil change. I thought everything was fine until one day I had to use my windshield wiper fluid, and it smelled really, really bad. I thought--WOW, this is bad! It smelled like rotten eggs so badly that I almost threw up. A week later I took my car into another shop for brakes and other repairs, and at the time I asked the guys to check out the smell. It was then that they told me that I had coolant in my windshield wiper fluid jug.

I figured as much, but because Jiffy Lube said NO to me when I confronted them, I waited until I went to another shop to get a second opinion. SO I was spraying coolant on my car and breathing it in for weeks. Now I have vinegar in replace of the coolant and have to deal with that smell until it goes through the lines completely. Not sure there is damage to the car, but hopefully it didn't harm my lungs from breathing it in.

I was the last customer of the year on 12/31/07. I used my $19.95 coupon for an oil change with services to include window washing, checking tire pressure and interior vacuuming. When I was paying for my work, I asked if my windows had, in fact, been washed and was told very clearly, yes, they were washed. When I got into the car it was immediately noticeable that they were not washed, and the windshield washer marks were still there, front and back.

My issue is...if I was lied to about this, what else was I lied to about...what else was not done? It made me question everything. I looked at my tires, and they appeared low, although I did not check the pressure myself. I am a single mother and would have appreciated a complete job done!

Since the Acura dealer is 40 miles away, I took my car in for an oil change locally at Jiffy Lube of Ames. When I drove in, the brakes were fine (firm and strong). The technician who drove the car into the bay rev'd the engine and pulled in very fast, and came to a fast stop (they worked then too). I wondered what was taking so long when I was the only customer there. When the tech pulled the car around, I got in and the brake pedal sunk to the floor. I went back in to the counter where the tech admitted he had no brakes when he pulled out. He got back in and pulled the car around to the service bay, and nearly hit me as he went by. He then took me down into the pit to show me all the brake fluid that had leaked out at one of the line's compression fittings. The car had been serviced this summer by the local (very reputable) Acura dealer, including a brake service, during scheduled service. There were finger prints on the brake line. Being winter, you could see where oily fingers had touched the dirty line near the compression fitting. His comment was what could he do? They don't even service brakes. I drove home very carefully using the gears and handbrake until it can be serviced by the dealer.

Physical: complete loss of brake pressure. Economic: still waiting to hear from the dealer regarding the cost of repair. I'll also be having them do an oil and filter change as I no longer trust Jiffy Lube to complete even the most menial of tasks. They've risked my life; they won't risk my engine as well.

On Christmas Day I was driving, and all of a sudden my Blazer was making a loud noise. I pulled over and found out I was out of oil; I looked all over and found my oil plug had been stripped out, and Jiffy Lube had put white grease on the plug to hide the fact they striped it out. I tried to call a tow truck. I was in the Black Hills and couldn't find anyone to come help, so called a friend. It took him about 1 hour to get to me. He brought oil, filled it up, and when starting, it made all kinds of noise. So we shut it down, and he towed me home. I called Jiffy Lube, and they had a tow truck come down from Olympia (50 miles away). They said it was ok to get a rental car, and they would pay for it until my car was fixed.

Jiffy Lube called 12 days later and said there was nothing wrong with my Blazer but a bunch of oil leaks. And now they want me to pay for the tow and the 12 days of rental car charges at $125.00 a day. I'm still not sure what the tow bill will be. So now I am also stuck with a sick engine.

I took my mini van to Jiffy Lube on 11/12/07 for a simple oil change and service. My oil filter was replaced and all of the necessary parts replaced, to ensure that the car would be in proper working order. One month later the car ceased and stopped on the highway while I was driving to work. I had to call a mechanic, who diagnosed the car and almost immediately found that the engine cracked because of lack of oil. Apparently there was a slow leak because during the oil change service, the parts were not replaced tightly, therefore causing the oil to slowly leak out.

Now my car needs a new engine, and Jiffy Lube is denying any responsiblity for repairs. I have no car to go to work, and financially I cannot afford to purchase a new car. I am a single mother with only one income.

Went in for oil change. Employee came out and said the differential and transfer case fluids were low--dry. The car had been operating fine, no problem; but I agreed to have them fill with their fluids. After the service, I started my car and went for about 100-200 yards and there was a thumping under the car. I have never heard it before. I returned to the store; two JL employees drove my car and experienced the same thing. They didn't know what it was and said to take it to a Jeep Dealer up the road. That night I got a call from Jiffy Lube and they said they put in the wrong fluid in the Transfer case and to come Sunday morning and they will put in the right fluid. I did that and went out with the employee again. They agreed problem was not solved.

The result was a damaged Transfer case which costs about $1800. They said they were willing to pay half, and I was responsible for the other half because when the car came in it was low...dry on fluid.

About 5 minutes after I left Jiffy Lube, my engine started to overheat. I had to get to work, so I did turn around, but rather drove slowly, stopping periodically to cool down my engine. On my lunch break, after the advice of several co-workers, I went out to my car to check and see if they even put oil in it. Apparently this oversight happens occasionally with Jiffy Lube. My oil was fine, so I checked my coolant. The coolant that they claim to have topped off was as close to empty as it gets.

Thankfully I caught the problem before any major damage was caused, but it could have been a major repair. As I was stopped, almost stalled on the shoulder of the interstate, I was nearly hit several times. I had to go buy coolant to fill up my tank.

I requested and signed for higher priced synthetic motor oil. I was very specific that I wanted Mobile 1 5w-30 synthetic which is the brand I have used for over 2 years at this Jiffy Lube. I noticed them placing a cheaper Penzoil brand in my vehicle. When confronted, the technician told me they made a mistake and would drain it and put in the correct oil that I asked for. He then asked me (sarcastically) if I wanted a chair and popcorn so I could watch them do it correctly. When I told them that I was going to watch, another employee pulled of his jacket and asked if I wanted to fight. I told them to just get my truck done so I could leave. We continued with a verbal altercation with them calling me names in Spanish and the gentleman who wanted to fight stated to the other tech that this is why he hates whites. While I was paying $89.00 for my incomplete oil change, the tech, while seated in another family's car, asked my friend what she was staring at, stating what are you looking at, do you like me, you must want me? This angered another female customer with kids behind us to the point that she wanted her husband to leave Jiffy Lube.

A regional manager has contacted me in this dispute telling me that derogatory comments were made by me which is what provoked these employees. I told him to pull the video of the incident and he stated they were in the process of pulling the audio and video and would have another district manager call me on Monday.

Monday Dec 03, 2007, my car got stuck in a huge puddle of water which caused the car to stop running. After the car dried out, I started the car and went home. The following morning, Dec 04, 2007, I drove to Jiffy Lube which is a couple of miles from where I live. Jiffy Lube did an Oil System Flush which they said I needed and changed the Oil. Less then 5 mintues from Jiffy Lube my car blew on 520. I coasted to a stop on the side of the road. I checked my Car's engine and noticed that no oil was on the dip stick. I then checked the road and did not notice any oil residue on the road. I called Jiffy Lube and told them what happened. Jiffy lube sent their mechanic out and he checked the oil. The Jiffy Lube mechanic whom I was standing next to pulled the dip stick and did not see any oil on the dip stick. The mechanic went back to his car and pick up two quarts of oil. The mechanic then put the two quarts of oil in my car and check the oil on the dip stick. The Jiffy Lube mechanic went back to his car and picked up a third quart of oil and put it in my car. The mechanic then looked under my car and saw oil running out of the oil pan. He looked at me and said there is nothing he can do and he left.

After the Mechanic left, I called a tow truck and had my car towed to a shop. I explained what happen to the mechanic who told me it sounds like there was no oil was in my car. While I was waiting for a tow, a road side Emergency truck pulled up behind he and asked me if I needed help. The Emergency help people waited for a while before they left. I had a rebuilt Engine put in my car to the tune of $3153. I was told by the VW dealer that a new engine would cost $6000.000 which I don't have. I took a bus to work while my car was being worked on. I did call Jiffy Lube Corporate at 800-344-6933 who told me that I would need to deal with the shop not corporate. Jiffy Lube says that the problem was caused by something else. Whatever else may have casued the problem (which I do not believe) there should still have been oil on the oil dip stick.
