We were lied to. When we purchased a extended warranty for our car, the rep said they were part of Genesis and they are not. Just bought our car in and they would only cover $125 and we would have to pay $700! We called them and they are disrespectful and did nothing but lie!

I had a great experience with Empire Auto Protect. My A/C compressor was approved quickly and without any hassle, which was a huge relief. On top of that, they helped make sure I had a car loaner, so I wasn’t left without transportation while my vehicle was being repaired. The process was smooth, professional, and stress-free from start to finish. Thanks so much, Dan, for your excellent customer service and support — it really made a difference. I highly recommend Empire Auto Protect!

If y'all are smart, you will not use them. They won't help you at all, so please don't be dumb like I was. Stay away, they won't pay even if you did not know at the time you take out the policy that something is wrong till after, which I think is dumb. If you paying over 100 dollars a month, they should fix it no matter what.

They created a contract and account under my name without my consent and charged my credit card without authorization 6 mos after I canceled when I realized they were fake; then refuse to refund. This has happened to me twice! Thank god the credit companies are willing to reimburse for unauthorized charges . It’s always the The same 2 guys who answer the phone & they have caller ID to screen their calls and they insist that there is no upper management to address complaints. When they are confronted they become very defensive and accusatory. The girls name on the emails is never ‘in the office’ also believed to be a part of their fake business that is scheming people out of money.

Terms sent do not match policy miles or duration promised on phone. Asked to cancel 3 days later, but they say the cancelation department is "out to lunch", and "I will have them will call you back". They never call you back, then Brad ** requests a "cover letter" explaining why you want to cancel, despite the fact you've already told them why. After sending the pointless cover letter, first Brad says it will take 24 hours to get a cancellation notice... then Travis says it will be 48 hours... Never-ending run-around. I enrolled in this plan but changed my mind when the policy arrived. I called in and went through multiple questions before being told that they had left 3 minutes ago. I told him I had been on the phone for 13 minutes. I called back today, had to go through multiple questions again then was told the cancellation dept. Didn’t come in for another 45 minutes. Called back, same third degree, transferred over to the dept. Again, wanted to know why. Told him I had changed my mind, was told that wasn’t a reason, I said okay, put down I didn’t like the policy language. He stated, that doesn’t make sense, I said just cancel the policy, he said, "I can’t do that." I said, "Let me talk to your supervisor," was put on hold, came back and stated the supervisor is not available, call back in 20 minutes or so. I said, "I don’t want to call back just cancel the policy." He said "No, you said you wanted to talk to the supervisor."
At this point I lost it and told him I am the customer and I want this policy cancelled. He refused to cancel and I started to call him names. This went on for multiple minutes before I got tired of cursing him. He never hung up but the last time I told him to go ** yourself. He finally said same to you. I have never done business with anyone that would not cancel a policy when a customer requests it. I had read quite a few bad reviews on this company and if this is how they treat customers imagine trying to get a claim approved. I would tell the public to check up on them to a science before purchasing a policy. This is the best way I know how to warn you.

Don't ever get a plan with Empire. They are robbing people. They are stealing people, money. They do not honor the maintenance contract and they are rude and they are ignorant. They say one thing and then have you paying for something else? And it don't cover your car. I am reporting them to the Better business bureau. Because they took my money and I can't even get my car fixed when they said that. They handle certain parts in fixing the car. And they do not give back refunds, so don't believe that either.

The warranty will cover the issue but not fully. They will pay only $500 for the service and you have to pay the remaining balance to the mechanic. The sale person told me to look into contract booklet and I will see it will cover only up to $2000 per occurrent. I was sweating and felt very belittled but to give it back felt even worse and I should not have been treated this way. Stay away from this company. A SCAM! A part of the broke businesses dilemma, it's so easy to see that they lie about facts and figures trying to nickel and dime everything while lying to gain every possible penny and that fraudulently there is no integrity with this company, the company representative also lies about being accredited with the Better Business Bureau but if you check you find out they're not accredited and then they begin to badmouth any association of a company with the Better Business Bureau. They began to downplay its importance at which point an argument ensues if the customer does not agree with their insults about they are being any benefit of BBB accreditation...
They also seem to have supervisors who have a little man complex get on the phone sounding like a little boy trying to justify contradictions of their assertions which their own employees affirmed but when pressed about the issue when it is found to be false or an outright lie then a supposed supervisor intervenes clearly bearing a little man's complex.. Warning! Stay away from this fraudulent company.. The company is deficient broke and can't provide what it claims to be able to provide..

I paid policy in full in 2024. I sold my vehicle July 30, 2025. I cancelled my policy. So I am owed a refund. It was stated and noted several times during several phone calls that I cancelled and the amount of the refund. They finally requested a bill of sales August 20, 2025. I sent bill of sales August 22, 2025. So why did they make my cancellation date August 22, 2025 and chopped over $300 off of my refund? While fighting for my proper refund, the "manager" forced the partial refund, without my approval, disrespected me, and after I told him he was being recorded he top it off by violently blowing into the phone for at least a minute. He hung up after I stated that they will hear from my lawyer. DO NOT, ABSOLUTELY, DO NOT use this company.

After reviewing the agreement stating they could use aftermarket parts, remanufactured parts when my phone conversation with sales agent only O.E. part would be used on my PORSCHE I decided to use my option and cancel the agreement 9/12/2025 and was they could not credit my credit card but would issue a refund check within 7-10 days. To confirm my decision a certified letter was sent and received and received on 9/23/2025. I follow up with a phone call on 10/01/2025 and was told the check would arrive vis USPS on 10/05/2025 a Sunday, again no check. Made another call on 10/07/2025 and was told I had reached an answering service because the Empire offices are closed Tuesday and Wednesday for a Jewish Holiday and to call back Thursday. I called again this morning and was told the check was mail.
Was to arrive on 10/12/2025. Another Sunday per USPS tracking. When I asked for the tracking information was told the tracking information was canceled because the mail was in California, again when I questioned that I was told they use a separate tracking system. I then asked for his name and supervisor. He would not do either and hung up on me. I would say buyer beware dealing with this business.

**WARNING** If you are considering this company for an auto warranty, I would advise you to read ALL of the reviews as there is a common theme showing unethical and borderline fraudulent practices of Empire Auto Protect and their CEO Michael Kassin. I did not read these reviews and wish I had, don’t be me. I took my car in for service, this Dodge dealership has serviced my vehicle since new, never even missing an oil change. The dealer contacted (required 3 calls and 1 hour 20 minutes to get through) Empire Auto Protect as it was determined I needed a starter, EAP would not allow them to place a new part on the car and insisted they would only approve USED parts and that they would only pay half of the hourly labor rate.
The dealer called me to inform me, that they removed EAP from their list of approved warranty companies and would not work with them. So at this point I have no need for their warranty, so I called to cancel. After numerous calls and transfers after day two, I was able to reach the person in charge Zack who said he is the Regional Manager and is the only person in the cancellation department and was out the day prior, attending a wedding. When he learned of my request to cancel he became very argumentative and would not allow me to speak, when I asked to speak to his supervisor, he then shared that he was the only one I can speak to and that I now “burned my bridge” and will not be getting a refund and hung up? A refund in which I am entitled to less than the 4 months prorated as I paid in full.
I have attempted to call back without any success. I have emailed using their contact page also with no response. So, I started to do the research on this company and quickly found a lot of complaints on multiple review sites that were similar to my experience. I wish I did the homework on the frontside, definitely a learning lesson. What a terrible company. If you are considering this company, please do the research!

I bought my warranty 2 years ago cash. Still have 2 years left on the policy. I never had to use it until now. The dealership put a claim in 2 weeks ago and they keep telling me a third party contractor have to go out and inspect the car and it will take 24 to 48 hours. Well it's been almost 2 weeks and no one has been out. I called several times and my so called rep told me to stop calling him. He told me the price of my repairs are really high they shouldn't cost this much, I advised him I drive a Maserati not a ford. So he began to tell me I call too much and to stop calling him.
He told me to be patient. They will get there when they get there, I told him I have been patient for almost 2 weeks. Something that should have taken 24 to 48 hours. His advise to me is to cancel my policy and even though I never used it I had it for 2 years I will get no money back. I also have a policy on my wife's car that I bought and never had to use. I know I will get the same treatment if I have an issue with her car. I don't think he ever intends to finish my claim because he continues to tell me to just cancel the policy and they will be done with me because I feel they are not going to fix my car.

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL! OK, there are companies that are Crappy and then there are companies that are complete Crap. Empire Auto Warranty is the latter. I purchased a policy on July 3rd 2025 and was charged $298.00. I was told I would receive a copy of the actual contract within 7 to 10 business days. I was also told if I did not like the policy I could request a full refund within the first 30 days. Side Note - Having the right to a full refund within the first 30 days isn't an Empire thing. It is the law no matter what warranty company you are dealing with. You are entitled to a FULL 100% Refund within the first 30 days.
20 Days later I received a copy of the contract and the coverage went from the Elite Plan to their Essentials Plan. The Elite being their highest level of coverage and their Essentials Plan being their lowest level of coverage. To add insult to injury the rate for the coverage went up as well. I was told that the Elite Plan would cover pretty much everything the original manufacturer's warranty covered with the exception of standard maintenance items like brake pads, tires, etc. I was told that the Elite Plan was going to cost me $149.00 per month for 2 years and I would receive an additional 2 years of coverage for free. Pretty good deal right? However, when I received the plan 10 days later then promised I was given the Essentials Plan that pretty much only covers the Engine and the Transmission. That plan was going to cost me $177.09 per month for 2 years. Classic bait and switch.
Upon receiving the contract I called into Empire Auto Protect and was told that the change to that plan was due to the company that actually underwrites the warranty. I asked to speak with a manager and after a brief hold I was connected to ** who was a complete jerk. ** started to get loud with me and said things like, "I will cancel the policy right now," etc. I didn't want to cancel before having another policy so I told him not to cancel the policy and I would call back. Throughout the next week received a handful of calls from Empire Auto Protect. 2 were to see if I wanted to purchase the policy and another call returning a call I never made to them.
After an exhaustive search I found out the AAA actually sells Auto Warranties. Because my wife and I already have their roadside assistance with them and have used used them in the past I felt totally comfortable signing up for their auto warranty. I received their highest level of coverage "Platinum" with no obligation for $167.63 per month. As mentioned I can cancel at any time by giving 48 hours' notice. I was also able to download and review a copy of their contract and was able to sign myself up for the coverage via their website.
OK - So now that I had coverage I called Empire Auto Protect to cancel my policy with them. I call and requested to speak with a manager and was transferred to **. I explained to ** what had happened and told him I was canceling the policy and I would expect a full refund to avoid any back and forth. I mentioned to ** that by law they needed to refund 100% of my money or I would call American Express and claw the money back from them anyway. I then asked ** to confirm the amount I would refunded and I was told that I would be refunded the full $298.00. Before I could thank ** and wrap up the call ** decided he wanted to become a telephone tough guy with me.
** said "You don't have to threaten me and if you want to threaten me why don't you come to his office in Freehold off of Wyckoff Rd. He didn't give me the full address but OK. At this point I told ** that he had my home address in Point Pleasant Beach NJ and anytime he wanted he was more than welcome to stop by and see how that would work out for him. I also mentioned he could simply call me from the Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk, The Boat Yard or any other place he would like in the beach and that I would be more than happy to meet up with him. The actual address is - 145 Wyckoff Rd Ste 105, Eatontown, NJ 07724. If anyone is interested.
I don't write reviews. I find them suggestive at best but I just need to let folks know what type of company Empire Auto Protect is. They are a joke. To allow their employees to speak to people like that is inconceivable. By simply mentioning I would expect a full refund and that they were obligated by law to do so and if they didn't I would contact American Express and they would make it right anyway ** went to "If you want to threaten me." All I can say is. ** you have a lot to learn when it comes to how you carry yourself and how you conduct when it comes to business. Empire Auto Protect - If that was my employee ** would be looking for another job. Thank you for the bait and switch by the way. That is also against the law.
A few minutes after writing this review I received a phone call from the 27 year old CFO of Empire asking me to take my review down. He didn't care about his employee's behavior at all. When I told him that I would not take down my review he started to get loud and started to threaten me with auto dial bots. REALLY! So this company is that good that they need to go out of their way to call and threaten me. Hey Empire, the Point Pleasant Beach have been called already. The next call will be to the Freehold police and my lawyer. Stay away from this company. They are a joke just like their employees.
