It’s frustrating when businesses offer first responder discounts but exclude nurses. As a nurse, this feels disheartening and unfair. Nurses play a critical role in responding to emergencies and saving lives, often working under immense stress and pressure. While first responders like police, firefighters, and EMTs are undeniably heroic, nurses are also on the front lines, providing life-saving care and serving as a critical link in the healthcare system.
Excluding nurses from first responder discounts creates a sense of being undervalued despite our contributions. Nurses work long hours, often sacrificing personal time and energy to care for others, yet our efforts are frequently overlooked when it comes to recognition. Acknowledging nurses through such discounts would demonstrate appreciation for our work and commitment.
This issue also highlights a misunderstanding of what it means to be a first responder. While nurses may not always be at the scene of an accident, we are the ones who stabilize and care for patients during some of the most critical moments in their lives. Including nurses in first responder discounts would go a long way in recognizing the essential role we play in healthcare and emergency response. It’s time for a broader definition of “first responder.”

I give it a 1 star because the quality of the parts they use is very poor. When you have to change an oil pump, fuel pump, lifters, cam and hubs all before 150000 miles it shows they just want your money and don't care about quality. I use to love the ram but not after this.

Ram 1500 engine ceased at ~49000 miles. Extended warranty covers the replacement of the engine and aux parts. The problem I have is getting in touch with corporate (The number the dealer provided me) to get a rental car. They do not let you leave a call back number, and the wait is 20+ minutes but the one time I got someone to pick up after 1.5 hours of waiting no one was there and it kicked me out to leave a review. The dealer has been working on my vehicle for a week now with some parts on back order with no estimated time so to not be able to get a complimentary vehicle at all is ridiculous.

They gave me a case case number and told me that they are having problems with the dash, I should get with the dealership with my case number. The dealer got with on a price that was as if I caused the poor workmanship. Nobody, as of yet said they are sorry, I'm having this problem. I should have stayed with Ford (King Ranch).

My problem with my truck is more to do with poor quality components that should not fail and poor customer service from Ram Care. I have had two dashes delaminate and bubble up in 4 1/2 years. The first dash failed in 21 and second in 24. Ram care acknowledged that glue was the problem and to me, that should have been enough for them to repair or replace the dash. Instead, they had me running back and forth to the dealer. They never followed through will the dealer and basically ran out the clock on my repair twice. I've been a Dodge/Ram customer since 1976 and can't believe how little my business is valued or how little Ram's reputation matters.

I got a factory recall for 14 month old Ram diesel, it took them 2-3 months to get the parts in. They need the truck for a full day, but they won't give me a loaner and told to me both from the dealer and Chrysler Canada. Give me a break, they screw up my car and I have to go without a vehicle while they fix it. Oh on a separate note they wanted $129 for an oil filter. Even the parts guy was shocked. I have had a heck of a time getting any help with my truck. There are a bunch of things wrong with it... Too many to mention, but biggest problem right now is I have a tow package that isn't fitting / working (long story short). I'm so exhausted trying to get help. This is my 4th Ram in the past 7 years and I was planning to buy my 5th in November, but I'm very, very angry now. I've had trouble in the past getting help with a problem or two, but this truck has many problems (and it's a high end model). I can't believe I cannot even get the slightest bit of help from anyone. I've tried so many places (phone numbers, dealers, websites, etc., etc.).
The customer service number you get on the phone sends you to the Philippines and there are a bunch of other numbers they have that all send you there to that same one call center. They cannot help me, after waiting on hold and then trying to explain my issues and talking to multiple people, and tell me to go to the dealer, which I already did (several actually)... The dealers all tell me I have to contact FCA. What a joke!

When I opened the truck smoke was entering from dash. I turned it off and looked under hood. It engulfed in flames when oxygen hit it. I tried to get help from corporate since truck only had 67k on it. I got ignored and hung up on numerous times. Sent emails and left messages. Even 3 dealerships told me they not going to work on this truck. It's your product. This company doesn't care about the people who buy their product. We are a Dodge family. I purchased a 2023 Ram 3500 Laramie 4x4 SRW brand new 3 months ago. I do absolutely love the truck. I tow a 43'ft Fifth Wheel Camper to different job sites around the United States and each trip is normally 700+ miles one way and the truck handles great. My complaint is that I paid over $84000.00 for this truck (Yes I had an issue with THAT). Anyway, after 3 months the Ram Connect Subscription went out and Ram wants $14.95 per month to renew with an auto-withdraw. That is $179.40 a year on top of the $84000.00 cost of the truck. This is absolutely ridiculous! The app allows you to remote start, updates the Navigation, gives you the location of the vehicle and a couple of other things that I really have no use for. I honestly believe that if everyone would refuse to purchase this subscription the price would be lowered.

We purchased a 2021 Ram 1500 in July 2023. In Nov 2023 we had to take it to the dealership because it was having transmission issues with less than 40k miles on it. We were told the part was backordered. Then we were told it needed a new transmission in January. The dealership suggested we call and expedite the part, which we did. At the time of the call I explain to Jas case manager that we have been paying on a truck we can't use, not to mention rental fees and everything else. He tells me he can get us the payments re-embursed and tells me what paperwork to send to him. I sent all the paperwork immediately and he calls to tell me that we should wait until the truck was fixed so we didn't have to do it twice. I said ok.
Now the truck was finished on Jan. 24th. Jas calls and tells me that he has to submit for approval before the payment can be made and he is going to take the payment divide by 30 and then multiple by 74 to get the per day rate. Ok. This was a decent amount of money that would go towards paying off the other fees we have accrued. I was called today and told that the request was denied and since I only called them in January they can only give us the money back for one month. I told him I didn't need a 74 day payment, I'd be happy with just the payments I made being paid back. He refused and said this would not be done. I request a call back from his manager, Jenna **, who calls and tell me she is sorry he gave me bad information but that is all they can do. I should have called them sooner.
I asked how I should have known to call them immediately after dropping the truck off and how I was supposed to know it would be 74 days before it was fixed and her response was I had valid points but she could not and would not approve the additional money and could only pay for 1 month. I asked if I could speak to her supervisor and she flat out told me she didn't report to anyone and there was no one above her. Apparently, Jenna owns Ram. I have expressed over and over that I only want the two payments we made and I didn't need the extra money. But despite the promises Jas made, they will not fulfill them.
Ram lies to their customers, they do not offer any satisfaction. When I asked for Jenna's direct number or email she said she doesn't give it out to customers. Now they have to suit the 1 month payment for approval, so I don't think we will even get that. The entire experience is making me wish we bought a Ford, I will never buy Ram again and I will make sure everyone knows how their customer service lies and breaks promises.

I changed over to Ram in 2017 with the purchase of a brand new one. For 20 years I drove new GM trucks. Love the Ram and Ram line, products and features. Bought a new one in 2021. Battery went bad after 16 months. It happens. Took them 4 days to diagnose and replace. It happens. Was under warranty, so they put a new one in Sep 2022. Last week it wouldn't start. Assumed it was alternator or other computer function, but didn't know. Had the battery checked at garage. They told me it was good so dropped it at the dealer.
Took them 5 days to diagnose and finally they told me it was the battery, again. 14 mos on a battery is horrible! Not under warranty anymore and they wanted to put another Mopar battery in it, and of course charge me for it. Told them no way. Took in one from Wal-Mart. 100 more CCA and has 48 mos warranty. They don't pro-rate it either. They replace it. Mopar should not make their own batteries as they are the worst of the worse. Not only that, but charged me $80 to diagnose and clear all the warnings. Buyer Beware: I recently purchased a brand new 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie and have been extremely disappointed with my experience. Despite the pickup truck now only having 18,000 miles, the transmission already needs to be replaced. To make matters worse, there seem to be no parts available for the repair or a timeframe when they will be available. I have a full service extended warranty, but this has not helped in resolving the issue. On top of all this, they have not authorized any type of rental vehicle while my truck is out of commission. Customer service has been unhelpful to this point. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of support and service from Dodge and would not recommend this vehicle to anyone. In fact, I will be selling this pickup once it's repaired and I will be buying something from a different manufacturer.

Since I bought my RAM 1500 in Oct 2022 from Findlay RAM in Post Falls Idaho, I have been inundated with unwanted solicitation, including many trial subscriptions that I was clear with them that I did not want. The dealership claims RAM signs me up for them and RAM refers me to the dealership. The standard response is that I can just unsubscribe from anything I don't want and they are just offering it for my benefit. I could maybe believe that if the salesman had even told me that I had some of the services. For instance, I had no idea I had a mobile hotspot with AT&T until they contacted me wanting me to pay for continued service. Why do I need a CarFax subscription for a truck with 29 miles on it? I have no idea but I had to spend time getting that cancelled too. Mysteriously, I have started getting catalogs in my mailbox with those companies having my contact information and salary bracket about 2 months after purchasing the truck.
The only thing I can get through RAM is a poorly trained Customer Care rep that offers hollow apologies and suggests that I speak with the dealership. The general manager at Findlay is willing to lie to the Attorney General, saying that RAM signed me up when the customer "care" reps say that nothing is automatically signed up for and it has to either be done by the customer or the dealership. At this point, since I can't get anyone at RAM to contact me to discuss my concerns, I have to believe that this is standard operating for both RAM and the dealership.
I am super excited to see what happens when stuff starts going wrong with the truck. Based on the lying and finger pointing, I am guessing I will be the one left in the middle having to foot the bill. Save yourself the time and headache and buy from a reputable dealership and buy a product that isn't put out by a manufacturer that cares nothing for customers other than separating them from their money and information that they can then sell for even more revenue.

I had a 1999 and 2006 Dodge Ram, both were decent quality. I then purchased a 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the 5.7 and have had nothing but problem after problem after problem. Stay away from Ram! See list below for a short rundown of the several issues I’ve had:
1) Horrible wind noise. Took it too the dealer multiple times (at least 5) and had an auto glass company out to reseal the windshield. Every time I went the service advisor told me at the 3 day window “it’s fixed”. Every time, it wasn’t. Turns out Ram put cheap bolts on the air recirculation vent so it didn’t seal properly and outside air was rushing in.
2) UConnect is junk. Had mine replaced when it was only 2.5 years old.
3) Radiator reservoir and cap are junk. Cap kept popping off. Dealership replaced the reservoir and cap.
4) Exhaust manifold bolts snap. Broke at 50k miles and again at 110k. $1000+ fix, very intrusive work, could damage engine.
5) Trim started bubbling up and peeling off after 2-3 years.
6) Windshield washer nozzles snapped at 60k miles.
7) Transmission missing shifts, rough shifting. Dealership refused to fix it, only flashed transmission ecu and sent me on my way. Been a problem since 26k miles.
8) ABS and Traction Control lights came on at 120k miles. Turns out I need a new ABS Control Module, which is backordered 6-7 months.
9) Brake caliper clip snapped and pad started grinding against rotor.
10) XM antenna broke and won’t receive signal or link up.
11) Lower fog lights come loose and rattle as you drive, can’t tighten them.
The Ram brand is atrocious. They’ve lost my business for good. So many common problems (i.e.: manifold bolts snapping, which is where the “Hemi Tick” comes from) and the company won’t fix it. I’ve been to over 6 different dealerships and they all pull the same nonsense. If it’s a hard fix more than 3 days they tell you it’s fixed otherwise after 3 days the dealership has to pay for it. So big problems never get fixed. Oh and watch out for the sealed transmissions with the “million mile fluid”. It’s a joke. Fluid doesn’t last more than 100k miles before transmission acts us (if it doesn’t act up before then, which line did). Stay away from Ram. This business does not deserve our hard earned money if they can’t provide us with a reasonably decent quality product or service.

This is my third Ram pickup. I have always been very pleased with these trucks until now. The first problem was the "hemi-tap" which I first thought was a sticking valve problem. None of the usual valve treatments worked and the problem got worse. I did some research and found that the tap was the result of warping of the exhaust manifolds resulting in the the manifold bolt heads snapping off at the block. The bolts had to be drilled and the block re-tapped for a new bolt. Apparently, the manifolds are not properly cast - they are "green." In other words they are cheaply manufactured, probably in China. Moreover, if not repaired, it can cause engine damage. This cost me about $1,000 to replace two bolts, and I am just waiting for the next bolt to snap. This problem has been known to Dodge for years and they have done nothing to fix it, and have not had a recall.
The next problem is the air suspension system - an expensive "luxury add-on" which does not work in cold weather. When the system fails, and it does so with increasing frequency, the truck seems to be riding on the rubber axel stops and becomes difficult to control on an uneven surface. This is a serious safety problem which from my research has been around since at least 2013. Again, Dodge doesn't care. Today, I made arrangements to replace the air suspension system with Monroe shocks. The parts will cost about $600, but I will have to find someone to do the work at a reasonable price. I have purchased my last Dodge vehicle because Dodge obviously will not stand behind their products.

I purchased my Ram truck, new in September of 2021. Within a few months of owning it and just under 7,000 miles I started having vibration/drivability issues. My truck has been in the shop for the same issue approximately 9 times in the past year. I started a claim with Stellantis (Owns FCA) towards the beginning of December 2021 after several weeks of waiting I received an offer to buy back my defective truck.
The offer I received to buy back my truck was far from satisfactory and would leave me still owing approximately $16,000 on my loan. I was then offered a cash and keep option, $4,000 and a CDI code (employee pricing). I countered with $5,000 and the CDI code to which they accepted. However, come to find out there are no dealerships willing to honor that CDI code on inventory already in transit or currently on their lot.
I was told by multiple dealers of the RAM brand that if I wanted to use this code and receive a new truck at the employee pricing I would have to order something and wait at least 60-90 days, if not longer. I am now expected to continue driving an unsafe defective truck that the dealership has been unable to determine what is causing the issue, putting my family and I in harm's way from a potential failure.
I have been a loyal Ram/Jeep owner for the past several years and always appreciated how well the customer service was and the fact that they stood behind their brand. It is absolutely absurd to me that a company would not stand behind their brand in this case. How a company can expect a customer to continue driving and paying for a defective vehicle, take a loss on the buy back of their defective product, or accept a cash and keep option with a CDI code that cannot be immediately used to help a family get into a safe vehicle is absurd! The fact that Stellantis is okay with this vehicle remaining in service with the safety and drivability issues it has is extremely disheartening.

I was so excited when they handed me those keys after I signed the papers! I drove off the lot Saturday evening, took my wife to dinner, drove the truck to work. On Sunday I started the truck and the check engine light came on. The dealership was closed on Sunday so I took it back Monday. They told me it was a cylinder 4 misfire due to an injector being stuck in the open position so they replaced it. I got the truck back Tuesday. I drove to the grocery store and home.
Wednesday, I got up and went to run an errand. I started the truck and the check engine light was on once again. I took it back to the dealership. It's now Tuesday and I haven't seen my truck since I dropped it off. I reached out to Chrysler multiple times, reached out to the dealership who said they were waiting for Chrysler, Chrysler said they were sending a tech out which they have yet to do because they were waiting to hear from the dealership. It has just been a complete disaster at this point of back and forth and I am making payments on a truck I'm not even able to drive. Dodge Ram - WARNING - If you have a 2019 or 2020 Dodge Ram Diesel. GET RID OF IT. Our 2019 with less than 30,000 miles has been at the dealership for 45 days now with NO RESOLUTION. We were stranded on the Interstate for two hours - IT JUST DIED AS WE WERE DOING 75MPH, - we are blessed no one was right behind us. The "warranty" that is supposed to be top rated is useless. The case managers, supervisors, do not return calls and the poor dealership service managers are left to deal with things that the "engineers" don't know how to fix.
The fuel pump recall doesn't have a fix and there is no fix for all the damage that comes when the fuel pump goes out and sends metal shavings all through injection system. Our last update after 45 days (and paying two truck notes) is that "STAR" engineers have no idea how to fix this damage. We have been without a vehicle all this time. SO IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE, GET RID OF IT BEFORE YOU ARE LEFT IN A MESS LIKE THIS!

It is important to design a seat correctly to make your product driveable, what a complete disappointment and it is unfathomable how this could possibly pass testing. Ram needs to step up and rectify this issue immediately.

This has been a nightmare of gargantuan proportions. I purchased a vehicle, signed the paperwork December 9, 2019. The vehicle was finally delivered to me Friday, December 20th. It was dirty inside when I picked it up and it never worked properly. I took it back to the dealer the following Monday morning (Dec. 23rd). It is now March 11, 2020 and I still do not have a vehicle. The corporate employees I have had to deal with told me things like, they have an unlimited amount of time to decide what to do. They don't return calls in a timely manner. They are trying to get me to take another truck and charge me more, because the special that was running at the time I bought the original truck isn't applicable now. They have offered to trade vehicles for weeks, but haven't agreed to a meeting time to arrange for it.
I have been paying insurance and payments for a vehicle I don't have and they haven't offered to reimburse me for the insurance. I posted on Dealer Rater and BBB in January and it was the only thing that got their attention, so here I am again, hoping to get this settled and, to be honest, I don't want anything to do with Dodge/Chrysler anymore at this point. I just want my money back so I can go elsewhere and purchase a vehicle that works from a dealer that cares. Oh, and the real kicker is that I have since found out that the problem with this model has been known for over four years, the parts to fix it are hard to get and one service tech said he is surprised by one of these vehicles lasting 10,000 miles before the failure occurs. Yet, they are still selling the vehicles. If they are out of warranty when the problem occurs, it costs over $7000 to fix it.

Purchased this truck new in November 2018. Brought it into dealer for their recall V06 "possible loss of steering control". 7040 miles on it. Dealership performed factory mandated correction of welding the jam nuts in place on the draglink assembly. When I requested the drag link components be replaced with whatever the new trucks coming off the line have, they said their hands were tied by the factory to just weld the adjustment solid. This makes it necessary to grind off the welds for any adjustment in the future, and then re-weld them. This is not acceptable to me.
No one with Chrysler will say how many times this potential cut the welds and re-weld process could be done. No one at Chrysler seems to know if the new trucks coming off their line have the assembly jam nuts welded. No one at Chrysler seems to care about the fact that I now own this truck with a diminished value as a result of this band aid fix, that is no longer adjustable. It is not what I purchased when new and I think it should be repaired to "Like New" condition. I have been told that they are not doing anything further and I am just going to have to accept their fix. We currently have 13 Dodge Ram vehicles with the oldest a 2014; which is our entire fleet. Between the 13-Dodges we now have 50-recalls. For us to decommission a vehicle for a couple of days so the recall can be completed requires a lot of work; costly for us. We must move our crews out of the truck, rent a truck, interrupt our workday, pay overtime, create problems for our client, deal with issues created with USDOT, and on and on which all relates to us losing revenue for our company.
For a small business to have to go through this difficulty for 50-recalls; up to 50-times; let alone all the service problems and mechanical failures with these vehicles, they are extremely excessive and costly to us. We have completed 43 of the 50 recalls to date. Costs are mounting and the recalls keep coming; one at a time. What are they building at Chrysler? What inferior components are they using that creates these recalls and dissatisfied customers like us?
We have called FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) to discuss and to talk with a supervisor but they are proving very difficult to get hold of. They have only returned one of my calls that was not able to be answered; the message was; that they simply say who they are but they leave no contact information. Calling back to the main number only gets us to the basic "apologies" and they will only take a message for the supervisor; they say that the supervisor has no direct contact number or email; we (ironically) wonder why. They say that the Supervisor will call back in 1-business day; that is not happening. In the past, we loved Dodge Ram; but not anymore. We are currently and actively searching for a new brand; NOT DODGE. We need to replace three trucks this year plus add one more to our fleet.

I took my truck that is a little over a year old in to have the DEF system checked and 2 recalls. We coordinated all of the issues with the dealer prior to arrival. They waited till I was about to pick up the truck to check on the DEF issue and they said they would call me in half an hour. I called 1 hour later and was told that the DEF wiring harness was shot and would not be going anywhere. Not to worry it will be in next Wednesday (this was a Friday). On Tuesday I decided to check and found that it might be Friday. At this point I contacted the Dodge national line and was told that it was definitely in on the following Wednesday.
When I checked the following week, I was told that there we issues and it would now be in on the following Wednesday. When I checked 2 days later, I was told it would be Friday. I like my truck but to wait on a part for 21 days is unreasonable. I am not sure why their system is so broken, but based on their performance, I am not sure I could recommend a Dodge RAM. When you buy a truck like this you buy it because you need it. I haul my trailer to horse shows and do not have an option. I had to rent a truck to drive to a horse show and can only hope that Dodge covers it. They were trying to weasel out of paying for a tuck that is less than the truck that I purchased from them. The national representative has even stopped calling me back.

Thought the Diesel engine would give us great long-term service - after all we have Dodge trucks as old as 2003 on the road for our contracting company. We do NOT do heavy loads nor towing, they are Quad cabs basically light hauling & crew taxi. Regular service and only 1 previous issue with mass air sensor $800 of that at dealership. The other morning, truck started normal, drive 5 miles to fuel up. Tried to start after fueling, big noise and that was it. Engine blown. Now waiting 6 days to see what they are going to do. 35,000 miles left on factory warranty and they are leaving us with no truck and guessing...

We purchased a new Dodge Ram 1500, Big Horn Edition, complete towing package/navigation. It has been in the dealer shop, quite a few times, more than any vehicle I have ever owned, navigation issues, tires worn out in 15,000 miles, can’t even roll down our back passenger windows without having your eardrums broken, the noise is horrendous, they say it fine, don’t roll down window. First time we opened rear window on cab, wouldn’t close, got everything in cab wet, they finally replaced cable after the third time at dealer, and I let “Everyone” in the dealership know of my disdain for my new truck.
I have ticking issues now in my engine, they say it's fine, it's not!!! Then they checked my in cab filter during oil change, and they broke my filter box, I found pieces on floor after the oil change, they didn’t tell me, I went right back in with pieces in my hand, and they said, "We will have to pull the whole dash out to fix/ replace it!" I still am furious about this, I duct taped it all. Paint is so thin, I have chips in paint all over front, and sides!!! I had a 2009 Dodge Ram, with the 360 cu in in it, had 320,000 miles on it, only repair was a intake gasket and transmission valve replaced... NEW Is Not Better... Paid over $55,000 for a piece of junk, will never own another Dodge Ram again, I am done with bad trucks, bad service... Very frustrated.

I have been a brand loyalist since 1986. This is my 6th RAM truck. We factory ordered a 2018 2500 HD 6.4 SLT with the options we wanted and needed for towing. Truck was delivered 12/2017. The day after delivery we noticed an abnormal start up noise from the engine compartment. With less than 100 miles we took it into a local dealer for inspection. After 7 inspection, demonstration and repair visits. 21 days in service and 8 months of driving with a monoxide sensor on the dash. FCA determined that the truck exhaust leak could not be fixed. They offered to replace the truck or refund our money. We elected to order an exact replacement truck. Frankly, other than the exhaust leak, this is the best RAM truck we have owned. All other functions, features, performance and comfort are 5 star. We received the replacement truck 1/2019.
At 80-100 miles the replacement truck developed the same noise. FCA, Ramcares and our dealer found it hard to believe that one customer could receive 2 factory defects for exhaust leak. We have asked FCA and our dealer to repair the leak. We are not going to order another truck or take our money back. This truck is going to be fixed. At this time we have not received a response to our request for repair. We have done a full investigation of this issue/problem. It is a known problem on some 2500 HD 6.4 trucks. The cause is in part the assembly process and in part the design and parts quality. We have gotten some great intelligent help from MOPAR parts people, RAM techs and the internet. We have decided to order the repair parts and have a qualified outside tech repair the truck properly at our expense.
We will address FCA-RAM when the repairs are completed. Dodge-RAM has come a long way in product quality and customer satisfaction over the last 30 years. I believe the company's recent decision to have the head of RAM focus only on the RAM Brand will result in correction of these type of quality problems. However, senior management needs to get out in the field and engage the reputational risk that the brand is experiencing. The vendor parts quality issues and assembly issues can be fixed.

I purchased a 2017 Ram 3500 crew cab dually Laramie edition for my hauling business. Within the first week I was at the dealer with a complaint about wind noise coming through the back cab. They sent me to their glass department where I was told the back window wasn’t properly set from the factory. They said they have seen this before and the only way to fix it was they remove the back window and replace it. Being that the truck was only a week old I was extremely hesitant but agreed to the repair. Two weeks later I was back with the same problem and now when it rained water would come in and drop down the rear seat.
I took it to another Ram dealer and this time was told after several test drives with their body technicians that the seams on the back of the cab were not formed together correctly and that’s where the wind noise was coming from not the rear window. Their solution for the repair was to remove the bed, fix the seams, repaint the back cab and then reinstall the bed. They would also take out the rear window once again and try and reseal it. I declined the repair and will be trading my brand new 68k truck in for a different brand. I have called Ram advanced support team and they have refused to take the truck back and give me another one. Had to rent a car while being fixed. Then ever since that issue it has broke down every 1000 kilometers since. As of today (December 7, 2018) truck has had over a hundred repairs. On its 5th set of new tires second complete set of brakes oil pan has fell off twice trans pan once. Track bar 3 times now. Two front ends and endless wiring issues. Now if all that isn't enough apparently they need constant 150$ radio updates and it doesn't let you know. Just one day doesn't start.
Tried lemon law and they don't cover anything larger than 1500. Tried trade in. It's worthless. This truck has scared me to not ever buy another new vehicle again. About 30 days later went to accelerate to pull out from a stop sign and it was as if I blew a spark plug off. The truck was skipping severely and image of an engine appeared in the dash. Took it in the next day and they fixed it. Now here I am about another 30 days later and the transmission is not downshifting when going to pass someone! The truck sounded like a belt squealing and it started jerking back and forth trying to go into a gear but couldn't! Check engine light on. Pulled over to nearest parking lot and shifted to park. Turned truck off hoping that would reset the truck. Turned the truck back on about 15 minutes later and went to put into drive and it wouldn't move. Went to put it in reverse and it wouldn't move.
I called my husband and he suggested to call the dealership and they can send someone to pick me up; seeing as how this is a brand new truck still under factory warranty! I decided to turn truck back off and wait a little while longer. Next time I started the truck it went into gear but the engine light was still illuminated and it was as if the truck didn't hardly want to go. Drove straight to dealership and they so called fixed it. On my way home from leaving dealership the problem started again! But there are no lights in the dash now when the truck can't go into a lower gear!
I run a small business myself and don't have time to keep running back to the dealership! I highly recommend do not buy a Dodge truck! Now that I'm talking to a few people about my problems with my truck, it seems to be a common issue with Dodge and their transmissions! Bought a demo Dodge Ram 2015 Longhorn Limited EcoDiesel with 2400km on it. On Thanksgiving driving on a HW with my whole family, noticed burning tire smell in cabin, and a smoke behind me. I have just done rustproofing and car was standing outside for 3 days without being used as per recommendation due to drip, but found it weird that the smoke appeared after an hour of driving, did not make sense. As I was pulling over to make sure my tires are not on fire engine shut down without a warning or any type of alarm. I was towing an empty trailer which was soaked with black engine oil and after checking the oil level, there was none in the engine.
After towing my truck back to the dealer and diagnostic (500$CAN) was told that they found metal shavings in oil pan, the main crankshaft bearing failed = metal shavings spread, build up pressure that blew rear main seal and due to engine oil loss resulted in catastrophic engine failure. Since in Canada warranty is only to 100000Km and I am at 141000Km, it will not be covered by a warranty, and service manager, after showing me the bill for repairs told me I should of bought an extended warranty (thanks **, for a reliable product that I bought from your dealership). Called Fiat and any one I could think of, seemed that the system is stacked against consumer. Estimate for repair is 19000$CAN plus 26h of labour, plus tax. (oh and they are on a 2 week backorder since they only make 20/week)
Towed my car on my own to US dealers who are currently installing my new engine (used cost 6500USD and new 9985$ USD) and labour is 23h to do the job (usually 2 business days or less to deliver new engine). In US it is 100000miles warranty and receptionist assured me that he will look into the warranty for me on his side, not holding my breath, but after dealing with all these issues and not having a car for a month, my trust in Dodge or Fiat products has been diminished.
After doing a little googling for this particular issue, a lot of info out there, bottom line there has not been a Canadian/US class action movement yet although quite a bit of engine failures stats for 2017 - 19 Fiat EcoDiesel failures per week in comparison to Cummings 2/week. Not sure where they got their stats but will look into closely. Mine is a 2015 and has even worse rep as per online reviews. Depend on my outcome with America dealer when I pick up my truck with new engine in it (so far customer service has been 100% better). As for Canadian side, I will no longer buy a car there from any dealer due to heavy monopoly, price gouging and a very poor customer service.

This $70,000 truck has been back to the dealer twice, within the first month of ownership. Both times, the dealer was unable to repair the problem. They claim they have been in touch with the RAM Techline, who instructed them to run an updated software download. They did it, but it did not repair the problem. I have now been told I have to wait, Possible as long as December for the next "new software download". Why they think that software update will work, given they said the first software update they completed was supposed to fix the problem and it didn't. In addition to the technology problems I've experienced, the optional hard bed cover leaks!!

Bought the 2105 Ram Long Horn 2015 new 52,000.00. Had 4 recalls on it, not counting this last problem which I will describe. While the vehicle was under warranty the vehicle locked up in the rear "up" position. Could not change it. Dealer finally changed out the pump motor in December of 2017. This is October of 2018 and the vehicle is doing the same thing. When the new pump was put in I was told the parts and labor were covered for 2 years. What they failed to tell me was once the original warranty expired, that pump and the labor are no longer covered. So the new pump they put in 10 months ago is now going to cost me over 2,000.00 and the truck has 34,000 miles on it.

I first purchased my 2019 Dodge Ram pickup back in April, everything went great I purchased an all black Big Horn. The whole dealership came to congratulate me on being the first to purchase. I received random thumbs up from strangers I was enjoying the truck as my daily driver, picking up the kids etc. Fast forward to my current experience with my Ram and I haven’t driven it a full week since August due to my power steering locking up at random times. The most recent time was two days ago where I couldn’t even get out the driveway nor turn the truck back into my yard without the power steering hindering my turn.
After sitting in the waiting area a total of 10 hours, driving 3 different loaner vehicles, I now feel like purchasing this truck was one of my worst experiences I’ve made. I know that many new vehicles have small things but I feel that the safety of my family and I has been at risk and the best I could get is a truck that locks back up the next day. Built Ram Tough! That's a joke. Don't take that Dodge Ram Laramie anywhere off the main highway. 20,000 miles on my 2016 Ram Laramie. I followed the GPS system off the highway on to a road, this road had water cover. This water only became worse so I turned around. Now mind you the water wasn't that deep. But through diagnoses it was somehow determined that it was "my fault" that water went in to the air intake filter, and then the motor. This ceasing up the motor. Warranty refused to cover this. Insurance claim it was. Do you think Ram would at some point stand behind their product? Ohh... No. I asked at very least they cover the $250.00 deductible. That wasn't going to happen. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. 3 months later was in the shop for a repair that took two and a half weeks. Since that time it has been in the shop three additional times for the transmission. I recently asked case management that is handling the issue for me how many more times I must be inconvenience before they replace the transmission. I stated it's obviously defective and I was told, "No it's not defective because we can fix it."
They've had four times to fix this transmission and it is yet to be fixed so in essence buying inconveniences are Unlimited as far as Dodge Chrysler are concerned. This is the third Ram truck I bought and it is the last. I will never ever purchase another Chrysler product and I would dissuade anybody from ever purchased the in Chrysler product. I'm tempted to put the lemon on the truck and driving around with a sign on it that says, "What an idiot. I should have bought a Ford." We felt that since December 2018 is 6 years that we still had the warranty. I own a 1500 Ram Big Horn which was purchased new from Five Star Dodge Warner Robins. When I purchased the Ram I was told I was entitled to oil changes from Ram and 1 oil change from the dealership. Due to the low mileage on this vehicle I didn't need the service frequently and wasn't told by the dealership that there was a time limit in which this had to be done. Unfortunately on 7-5-18 I had service done which would have been the fourth oil service on the Ram Truck and was charged $36.13. I called consumer affairs and was told that service agreement wouldn't be honored due to the length of time and again I stated that the dealership made no statement when purchasing the Ram Truck about a time limit to the service agreement. I also purchase a 2016 Ram Truck Big Horn 4x4 from the same dealership which more mileage was put on this vehicle due to it involved being destine as a work vehicle and all oil changes were honored.
I usually buy/purchase vehicle every 4 years and have considered buying another Ram Big Horn but feel that if I am going to be penalized for not driving and taking care of my purchase and the Ram company isn't going to honor an agreement due to time then I should seek other types of truck makers. I regret that for $36.13 that a company like Ram would want to lose a valued customer. This can be easily resolved by honoring an oil change at one of your facilities with a coupon. Please understand I feel at this time that if Ram will not honor this then will Ram honor their other warranties/services. Thank you and hope to be able to continue to do business in the near future.

We are coming to you for help, on June 14, 2018 our 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with only 8,200 miles on it broke down on our way home in SC at midnight. Leaving us and our 2 children stranded on the side of 95. Chrysler warranty only covers towing to closest Dodge dealership. This is how we ended up with our vehicle at Plaza Dodge dealership. We are getting the runaround from the service Dept (Jon) & warranty guy handling our case (Tim). They have had our vehicle for 3 weeks with no end in sight. Last week we were lied to by both Jon & Tim about what was wrong with it (saying it was the rear overrunning gear) and that parts had been ordered. On Monday this week Jon called and said that no parts have been ordered, in fact our transmission had not been taken apart or touched all last week.
On Tuesday this week Jon called my husband and said now they believe it to be a seal in the transmission and have ordered parts but it will now be next week for them to come in. He then turned around and called me and said some parts had been ordered but some were on back order and he did not know when they would come in. This truck is not only our personal truck (we tow our camper with this for our son’s travel ball tournaments) but it is also my husband's company truck (we own Marsh Lawn Care). We need it back or answers.
We only have had it since April 27. We bought it brand new from Cary Auto Mall. We called them on June 14 to see if they could help us since we had just bought it and were told “why would we help you, we are not reaping the benefits of the warranty work”. I think all Dodge Ram consumers should know how poorly the new trucks are built & how little help warranty company is in getting them back to you in a reasonable timeframe.

The vehicle did however get in drive the next morning to take it to the dealership, and became stuck in park again once there. The RAM company said they would send the part... ONE MONTH later the part arrived at the dealership. The truck still will not shift into any gears. Informed the customer service person at RAM and they are looking into the matter.
In the meantime, we have to pay $558.00 per month for a defective product, that was advertised as a great RELIABLE product, and we are not even in possession of at the moment. It's not the dealership's fault. They did not make the defective truck. It is the manufacturer and product supplier that created this vehicle that you cannot even drive. Very angry with Dodge that they would not even test their own products before shipping to stores. Thank you for the headache, hassle of dealing with customer service people who could care less that you are out of money on a product you do not even have or can use, and the aggravation of a family of four now down to one vehicle. I brought it to my local Dodge dealer to get it looked at. Turns out it's the rear end pinion bearing that went bad. The mechanic told me that I might be in luck and that there might be a recall on this rear end. He did some research and found out my VIN number did not match the recall. The repair that the recall calls for is the same repair they did on my truck. The pinion bearing they took out of the truck was trashed due to lack of proper lubrication, the reason for the recall. I called the RAM customer assistance office and received no assistance with this repair.
This lack of lubrication condition could cause the pinion bearing to seize and cause a loss of vehicle control and or cause a crash without warning. The last sentence was pulled directly from the recall advisory that for some reason does not include my truck yet the problem I had is just like the recall. RAM really needs to get this checked out before someone is injured. If you own a 2012 Ram 1500 get it checked out. Safety Recall K36.

They tell me that Chrysler is working on a computer update for the problem. I did hire Lemon Lawyer, but they haven't helped at all. This is my first and last Chrysler product! On Valentine's Day, 2018, I heard my Ram 3500 diesel attempting to start. It was unoccupied and there was no key in the truck. I went outside, the truck's horn was blaring, the lights were on, the doors locked themselves and there was smoke coming from under the hood. I unlocked the doors manually, opened the hood and used a fire extinguisher to quell the smoke. I then disconnected both batteries and had it towed to a dealership. It is now March 5th, 19 days since the incident. The truck is still being repaired and the estimate, so far, is $4,600. I had to leave my spring training job, lost my payment to an r.v. park and spent 3 days in a motel at $267. This is not an isolated incident. Many Total Integrated Power Modules have failed on Dodge vehicles. Mine is not the only one that has had the exact symptoms. Ram is ignoring the issue and denies any culpability.

Purchased brand new 2017 Dodge Rebel on January 1, 2018. So far I've only put 600 miles on it. Noticed above driver's door a hump under the painted plastic trim which covers the roof seam/joint. Notified local Dodge service department. They took pictures to send to the Dodge engineering department. The local Dodge body shop also inspected it. It appears at the factory when it was built, some metal debris was left under the sheet metal when it was crimped and spot welded. This caused metal to protrude at the joint.
Also, there is a visible hump in the sheet metal. To top that, at the factory, they simply threw the plastic trim over it and painted it! There is a HIGHLY VISIBLE 1/3" rise in the trim. I noticed a leak on my driver's floormat. The body shop said it was from the roof seam issue. How in the hell did this get through even the weakest of quality control both at the factory and at the dealership? The dealership has now had my truck for a week. The headliner has been removed for inspection. Called dealership Friday and they said the Dodge engineers are looking at the problem. How can this end well for me? On October of last year (2016), I traded in my Ram 1500 Laramie for a new 2016 Ram 1500 Tradesman/ Express (Black Package Group). With a tag of over 46,320. Mopar bed cover liner and sidebars were added on by the dealer after they received the truck but it is not included on the number above. After searching online and going to several dealers to look at trucks, I decided it to buy one on the lot of a dealer 30 minutes away from me. I called the dealer and made the deal through the phone. The same night I went with the title of my Ram 1500 Laramie and a check for the differences. I looked at the truck and it looked pretty bad ass. Took the truck home and a few weeks later I was washing it by hand and noticed it (3) different discolored spots on the right from fender of the truck.
That kind of alarmed me so after further inspection I found that the clear coat under the Mopar bed liner had been damaged by the liner. The liner had play for not been put correctly. And the bed wasn't clean before the installation so it damaged the clear coat on the paint. I further discovered bubbles under the paint. I called customer service and customer service helped me schedule an appointment with the auto body shop for them to take a look at it. I took the truck to the shop and the shop manager took pictures of the problems and told me the truck would be repaired under the warranty. He said the remedy was to repainted the truck. I refused that and told him that I didn't paid the type of money I paid for the vehicle to get it repainted two weeks after sold to me. He advised me to talk to the sell man about it which the same day I gave him a call and drove 30 to the dealer for him to see the truck. The sell man wasn't very helpful.
At some point he said that I acted like he paint it the truck which I corrected him by telling him he didn't build the truck or painted the truck either but he sold me the truck and I need it help finding a solution to the problem. He told me he couldn't do nothing since he didn't painted the truck. Manager of the dealer called me and told me he was gonna ask for a buyback because the truck paint looked it terrible. A appointment was made with the Mopar area manager (Bloomington Ill.) who offered me 2 or maybe 3 payments and to repaint the truck. I told him I didn't want them to sell me a truck for over 46,000 dollar which is a huge investment in someone life and then two weeks later taken from me to get repainted. He replied that he didn't sold me the truck and the dealer were independently owned which I replied that was understood however, those independently owned dealers are selling the brand of vehicle he represents.
He then asked me if I checked the vehicle which I replied yes I did with the naked eye. And when I went to buy the truck I went there with a positive outlook. No one who is going to buy a new vehicle go to the dealer and go there with a set mind of looking for rust especially speaking of a brand new vehicle. I also told him that was the job of quality control. Quality control inspector let the truck leave the plant like that. He or she should've had recorded the results of their inspection and notified his or her supervisor so supervisor could fix the production problem. He then said he was asked Chrysler to do a buyback which they did. I decided it that even though I already had a bad experience with the buying of their vehicle I was going to buy another Ram. (Chrysler reimbursed me 46,320 plus the dealer reimbursed me on the aftermarket accessories they installed on the truck.)
I went ahead and builders my own. A 2017 Ram 1500 Tradesman/ Express. (Black Package Group). As soon as I took possession of it I had problems with the driving lights. (Condensation). Again I contacted its customer service and wrote an email to headquarters and sent it them pictures. Another appointment was made with the dealer where they looked at the lights and ordered new ones. After I put the new lights I made another appointment, because the lights were looking down. Instead of fixing them, adjusting them correctly they put them looking up. An appointment was made with a second dealer to correct the lights. I was involved in a car accident where my truck was deemed total loss.
A week later, I went and bought another Brand new Ram 1500 Night Sport Luxury Edition. Dropped over 53,000 dollars just to discover the same issue I had with the first one: rust on the paint, bubbles and poor paint job. As we speak a case is open on this matter. Front office contacted it me when I sent them pictures of the vehicle damages. Here is the fun part about it, after I explained to the lady I spoke with that I had been a loyal customer of them of many years and That I'm very disappointed with the quality of their vehicle. I bought two brand new vehicles back to back that came with factory problems.
Now I'm on the third one that came with factory problems. She asked me if I looked at the truck before I bought it since I already had problems with the first 2016 which I told her yes with the naked eye. And that I didn't went to the dealer to look at a 2017 brand new truck worth over 53,000 dollars with a set mind (let me look for rust and paint damage). However she never mentioned anything about the 2017 I ordered it and came with head lights problems. I also told her that was quality control job and the same question need it to be asked to him or her. I will keep everyone informed about this matter.

Each time I took it home and sprayed it with a garden hose mimicking a light rain or washing the truck. Each time water was flooding my cab within ten seconds. I tried the corporate customer care line as I was tired of wasting time with dealerships but they were some of the most incompetent people I have ever talked to. Buyer beware of any newer, 2013+, Dodge with a Cummins Diesel and its emissions system. You will be constantly plagued with See Dealer, Service DEF System errors. When the trucks run they are great, but good luck keeping them running reliably. You can put good Blue DEF in 100% of the time, run them well to ensure they get a periodic regen, and still have endless issues. To top it off, they drop you into limp mode in no time at all, so good luck if you're on a long road trip; expect a huge tow bill. In all, stay away from any of these trucks that have DEF systems unless you wish to waste time and give away your money to a bottomless pit.

I bought my Ram 1500 new in 2015 with every tow option available. During the summer months (May-Mid September) I tow a 3,500lb boat about every other weekend... this was the sole purpose for buying this truck. This August while towing the boat the transmission failed to downshift (with a loud BANG) twice, then we got a check engine light, and the transmission reached 280* before being able to get off the highway. The truck was towed to the nearest dealer. The dealership told me there was no overtemp history in the computer and replaced just the valve body and filter. Ever since the repair the transmission regularly runs hot (up to 237* while not towing, usually in the 220s) and does a sporadic slip-bang shift.
I opened a case with Ram Cares and got it into another dealership, they couldn't reproduce the problem. The mechanic told me that Chrysler only allows them to replace the valve body or the entire transmission under warranty (if the fluid is burnt), but he felt there was a problem with the heat exchanger for the transmission. When I picked up the truck the service advisor told me (after seeing my many pictures of the trans temp gauge reading 220s and 230s) that even though he can't do anything under warranty right now he thought the transmission would most likely fail before the powertrain warranty expires.
This is a problem as I've already been stranded once while towing my boat. The Ram Cares rep said Chrysler stands by the dealership and my request for further diagnoses OR a warranty extension on the transmission has been denied... this to me means that Chrysler doesn't have confidence in the transmission... a warranty extension would only cost Chrysler money IF the transmission fails again.

1400 miles and noticed pull, steering wheel off center, tires cupping 2nd, center and 3rd rib, wobble left had curves, had to wait 10 days for appointment, so I parked it. Told it was normal tire wear for a dually. "No problem found". They set tone. "What about steering wheel and pull?" Also, this is important: I had been to 2 dealerships and they didn't know the proper tire pressure required. They will put too low pressure in fronts and create an excuse for "outside tire wear". I showed them the specs on door pillar. Had to call for authorization for offset ball joint. Service Mgr. told me he heard they had a problem with rotated right axle when it was welded. "Uh oh".
I called Customer Service FBA. They called me before I picked up truck, wanted to know if I wanted to go to Arbitration? I told them I had worked for Dodge 25 years ago and knew I had to give them 3 wishes, "wish they could fix it". Oh. And, I hadn't been called to tell me the truck was done! I was offered "road hazard/lifetime balance and rotate" from national chain for $160. I took it after 4th rotation and balance 2 unconventional rotation dismounting fronts from rim and swapping by 7900 miles 4th trip to service and 2 rotates and balances from them! At this point I've been escalated to another acronym for customer service. I provided tire tread wear patterns to service for cupping in ribs, contacted Nexen tire, sent pictures, they concur that it's mechanical. I had sent them pictures of "bowed right front spring", too.
1 service order I questioned the ride height, Right front 1" lower than left, left rear 2" higher than right. "Within tolerance" after calling tech support. "Did you measure and document your findings?" No, they took my word for it. Tech rep came and looked at it. Service wrote it up that I was concern about outer tire wear, returning to me my handwritten concerns - "nowhere does it say outer" cupping in ribs. I even attached a drawing asking about the tolerance of a "bowed" spring. Contacted General Mgr. of dealership about my complaints not being represented to Chrysler correctly, showed him a picture of the spring. "That's bent" he said. I told him his service department has had it in here and they say, "can't duplicate it or that's normal for a dually". G.M. would get involved. Spring and 2 tires just arrived.
While the tech advisor was there they drove a "new" truck to compare with mine. The route I discovered would replicate my complaint: accelerator ramp entering highway with a seam in asphalt from here to here on interstate (left sweeping curve, 40 to 80 miles per hour) "Wobbles like a hub or a spindle problem" yet this has an axle. They drove the same they said. They pointed out which one, I had driven it to see if I was interested in taking the $5000 over trade value in a previous offer. It had 90 lbs in front tire and was a solid, tight front end. Just like mine when it was new. I measured that trucks ride height - "this one is even across." I noticed the slightest wear of feathering across tread. Asked them to get the keys, humor me. Found on TPMS #90 on left front #70 on right front. "You just demonstrated you could make a new truck feel just like mine". Such a look I got.
Make sure service documents exactly what your complaint(s) are. I now will add, "it feels like rt front tire is severe underinflated". I contacted selling dealer in another state and was directed to a larger seller of this type of truck. They haven't seen many of these but have been successful replacing axle housing, about $4k to warranty. "A whole lot less than I'll be out if I went arbitration" since I was told this is all they'll do for me. I won't have to wait long after spring replacement to verify fix, 1 more shot at customer service to get axle housing replaced, or I sue. I think I have enough info to verify it's their problem and not the customer's lack of rotation.

I purchased new two 3500 Diesel. One 2004 the other 2007. They both have had major issues with the front end. The infamous "Death Wobble" on both trucks began occurring around 40K. The 2007 was my wife's until it started the wobble. The drag link in the '07 broke clean on two different occasions. The first time was the night of my first child's wedding night. Went to back the truck up so we could load gifts and heard a loud "Bang". The drag link sheared at the threads. I purchased a new link from NAPA and paid for their most heavy duty, lifetime warranty. Took the truck to an alignment shop and had it aligned and inspected (Ball joints, u-joints, etc.).
A month later while driving at 80 mph on the Interstate I crossed over a bridge with a slight bump and the truck began wobbling and then "bang!!". Wobbling stopped but I knew what had happened and coasted to the emergency lane applying the emergency (rear) brakes. When the truck was almost at a stop I pressed on the front brakes and the truck skidded. I got out and the driver side wheel was 90 degrees pointing out. The irony is I was on my way to a local dealer for a recall on the front ball joint. I had the truck towed to the dealer. They inspected the Ball Joint, said it was fine and then gave me a 6 line item list on what was wrong and needed to be fixed. $5500.00 estimate. I told the service writer to leave the truck alone and I would have it towed to a service facility that I trust. I replaced the Drag Link again, took the pile of ** to have it aligned again.
The alignment owner told me to replace the front stabilizer shock and use Monroe brand instead of the "Super Heavy Duty" rock-n roll brands. They had had the best luck with Monroe. For the next three years I could only drive safely at top speed of 60 mph if I wanted to avoid the "Death Wobble" and possibly break another link. I will not let anyone else drive the thing for their safety. I put a more heavy duty tracking bar and an aftermarket stabilizer bracket on it. Still could only go 60 mph and feel safe.
A few months ago I replaced the front hub assemblies and U-Joints.By doing so the truck feels like it did when I purchased it new. Now I can go 80 mph plus and feel safe. Regarding the '04, the front stabilizer tie rod broke and the truck doesn't "Death Wobble" any longer. I'm tempted to leave the thing broken. Once a Dodge... Always a Dodge. Only having 147 miles on it at 3,000 miles truck went in to the shop for over a month to have tail gate and hood re-painted from having blemished paint from the shipping! At the time of getting re-painted the truck was out of line and pulling terribly to the right... Having electrical issues and squealing brakes! Again at 10,000 miles pulling strongly again to the right we take it back in and get aligned... Right after leaving the dealership the steering leakage comes apart while my wife was driving down the interstate... Went in the shop again for a few weeks... This truck has been through 3 sets of tires and it only has 36,000 miles on it...
Since buying this truck it has literally been in the shop every two months the last time which was last week it spent 1 month and 1 week in the shop with the front end coming apart once again in the truck!! We pick it up this week and it's shaking so bad it's hard to drive and the passenger back ceiling is leaking from the rain!! The truck is covered in ants inside and out they are coming out the vents and steering column!! Called to report our problems once again to Hoover Dodge Jeep and Ram in Summerville, SC only to be treated like a piece of trash!! We are hardly getting to drive the truck because it's constantly in the shop but yet the payments are due every single month on time!! So over this company and the dealership!! DO NOT BUY A NEW DODGE!!! Take our advice and just about everyone on this page that is complaining!! This company has went to hell very quickly.

I am the original owner of a 2008 Ram 2500 w/ Cummins 6.7L engine. The truck has been serviced religiously. I purchased the vehicle because Cummins has a stellar reputation. Or so I thought. As soon as the warranty expired, the engine computer motherboard failed. The cost was $3,000.00 and it took three trips to the dealer to completely install the motherboard correctly. Hey, things happen, correct? Recently, I have had a consistent engine light on. At 70,000 miles, I took the vehicle in for service. After a diagnosis, the code of P2262 was the most prevalent code and it signifies a turbo failure. Replacement cost is $4,901.00. I called Dodge to express my concern and they refused to stand behind their product.
While I have researched blogs and forums for a reasonable solution, at the end of the day, I have a Cummins diesel engine, with two major failures, before the vehicle turns 70,250 miles. This is an inferior product with an inferior organization (Chrysler-Dodge) standing behind it. Run, don't walk, away from FCA (Fiat Chrysler).
