Bought my 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T with 7 miles on it. Looks great but within the first week, my back brakes were screaming. I took it in right away and the dealership said it was fine. They still scream! Very embarrassing!! I've replaced my front struts 4 times!! In the past year, my check engine light has come on. I quickly had a diagnostic (185.00) that came up with an exhaust code but nothing was wrong with it. They cleared the code and sent me on my way. My brake light comes on at random times. Again took it in and they say nothing is wrong.
Today is my breaking point!! Drove fine all day, no noises and no lights came on. Parked it at a movie theater and came out and the car will not start. My security light is on, my engine light is on, and my electronic something or another light is on. I only owe 11,000 but I'm seriously considering giving this car back and never looking back. Nothing but a headache, waste of time and money! If by chance you think you are getting a good deal, think 90 times before you buy it! I wouldn't pay a dollar, I wouldn't even think about taking it for free!

Bought this vehicle brand new in January 2013. I loved the way it handled in the snow with the abs. We even drove it to Florida that February. Now exactly 2 yrs from the date we left for Florida I was driving in town and a car in front of me suddenly decided to turn. I hit the brakes and..... NO BRAKES!! Not even a skid mark! The car kept going and I hit the vehicle in front of me totaling my Avenger and me a trip to the hospital, very badly bruised and banged up from the airbag!
The passenger bag also went off. There was a short that filled the car with smoke! Lucky I wasn't knocked unconscious or I would have had smoke inhalation also! Stopped smoking when I turned off ignition. I turned the key again just to check and sure enough it immediately started to smoke again and I could hear the crackling sounds this time!
I definitely advise against buying an Avenger of any year. Nothing but a pile of junk and a pile of doctor bills!! I thank God that I didn't have any passengers with me at the time. I usually picked up my 2 and a half year old grandson with this car! Chrysler investigated the crash and insists there is nothing wrong with the breaks or airbag!! Police ticketed me for inattentive driving! Because there are no skid marks I didn't attempt to stop!! AVENGER OWNERS PLEASE REPORT THESE PROBLEMS SO CHRYSLER WILL FIX THE ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. This car is a death trap!!

Brake squealing yes. Dealer no solution - rough shifting transmission water leaking into trunk and back seat floor power window stopped working. Many problems with the dealership and Chrysler. I've always been Mopar man. I own 4 Dodges - this Avenger RT is by far the worst I've had but it also makes you rethink your dedication to Chrysler. My next new car will not be Chrysler but I will research my choice next time instead of trusting the quality of Chrysler. It's almost paid for with 65000 miles on it so good luck to whoever gets it when I trade. I think I'll research Lexus. Never owned anything but Chrysler GM and Ford. Maybe I'll try a foreign-based car now at 53 yrs old. Yes I know the big 3 are mostly foreign now. Detroit is dead.

As someone else mentioned right away after buying my 2011 Dodge Avenger my batteries squeaked also when I back up! Ever since I got the car! I have had it looked at and they can't do anything about it... Now my battery light is coming on so we went and got a new battery. After that now the light is still coming on so it has to be something else! Probably the alternator! Does anyone else know what it can be? I'm not too happy about this car!

We bought the car new, the brakes squeals real loud when you back up. This started about two or three months after we bought it. Gulfgate Dodge tried to fix it by resurface the rotor and put new pads but it started back, it went back two times. So now we are being told there is nothing more to do. And I have asked other people, some are having the same problem. Chrysler says there is that can be done. Seems to me the material that they used is bad.

I bought my 2010 avenger express in January of 2012 with only 13,000 miles on it. I have had problems in the last year and half. My major complaint is the electrical problem. It causes my alarm to go off whenever it wants and once you turn it off it goes off immediately. I have the touch screen radio and it does as it pleases, has been replaced once already and is doing it again. My transmission shifts funny at times and my car doesn't want to start 1/4 of the time. I took it in last year and all they said was "we replaced the radio," "transmission is fine," and "the water got into the truck through the tail light," and they replaced that.
I have warranty and the only thing it covered was the radio. I had to pay for the truck light repair, which I consider a manufacture defect, and the diagnostics on the car. I am having the same problems again. I have to make a repair appointment again and I'm sure I will get the same response as last time and I'm sure they will charge me again. I love when you are driving down the road and your hazard lights go on and off by themselves. I loved this car when I first got it and now I absolutely hate the thing. If I could afford a new car I would be dumping this in a heartbeat!

I purchased my 2013 Dodge Avenger brand new. I have been to the dealership 5 times concerning my brakes. The first time they changed the pads, 2nd time they replaced the rotors, 3rd time they resurfaced them, 4th time they put stop squeak on them. Now on today 12-17-2014 I'm back at the dealership for the same thing "my brakes". My brakes make a very loud noise when I back up. I wake up my neighborhood every morning backing out my driveway. It's so embarrassing when I'm backing up. I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB. Everyone should do this!

Me and my wife purchased a 2014 Dodge Avenger SXT BlackTop Edition about 4 months ago. This car was purchased for her. In the short time we have owned the car we have had numerous problems with the vehicle. At first,we took the car back to the dealer because there was glue coming from the rear seat and they "fixed" it. We also informed them that they had drilled the front license plate in crooked, they said they had fixed it and actually made it less crooked, but plate still is very crooked. I also informed the dealership that several of the body panels were crooked. The passenger headlight was crooked and the driver headlight was in perfect, they attempted to fix this and actually chipped a small piece off the corner of our passenger headlight. Thanks for that! Front hood is noticeably crooked as it hangs over one fender and goes inward on the other side. The front grill hangs down on one side. All the doors are crooked and gaping distance is way off and doesn't match or look uniform at all.
The trunk is off so bad that it leaks all the time getting all of our belongings wet. I opened a case with Chrysler and they did nothing but offer to pay for 37% of the repair cost to fix all the panels (which reputable body shops agreed that car was poorly put together) .Car even has a few factory dents they will also not cover. My case with Chrysler has been open for 4 months and no resolution has been reached.
The car started shaking really bad from 30-40 mph. We took it to dealership and they said the tires needed balance. They balanced the tires and now the car shakes at all speeds and the steering wheel shakes and has a lot of play in it! Passenger window coming off track, they replaced the window regulator at 6,000 miles. Ridiculous because that part shouldn't go out for 10+ years. Driver seat belt stays stuck about 75% of the time so my wife is usually without a seat belt. Dealership said all is fine. Which I know isn't true. But what can you do? Leather seats are so worn they look like they are about to crack... on a 4 month old car with 6,150 miles, really??
Car has terrible wind noise when driving at highway speeds. The transmission shifts very rough most of the time and at other times does just fine. There have been 2 instances where the car has accelerated itself, luckily not enough to cause an accident. We are very disappointed in this vehicle, it's honestly a death trap. I never imagined you could have this many problems with a brand new vehicle, but Chrysler has changed my mind there. They have treated me and my wife terrible over the phone and at their dealerships, wasted so much of our time and energy.
We called our finance company and we owe 29,500 without interest on the car, which makes no sense because the cars sticker price is 27,025 and we have made 5 payments. We told them to pick the vehicle up and that we will no longer be paying the payments on something that gives us nothing but problems. Car books for 14,900 now. They really want us to pay for two Avengers?! Ridiculous. Chrysler you should be ashamed of yourselves for sticking people with junk vehicles, shame on your whole company.

I bought my 08 Dodge Avenger SXT new on 1/1/2008. This car was great for a couple years (minus typical recalls, etc). The problems started after I nearly ran over someone at a stoplight when I had my foot off the brake and the car suddenly accelerated. I thought it might be a fluke and didn't take it in until the 2nd time it did that. It would also randomly die when stopping after driving on the tollway. Dealership flashed the computer and that solved that. Then I notice the leather seats are cracking and the paint on the hood is bubbling, so I contacted Dodge corporate because it's still a fairly new car. They covered 50% of the repair- replaced the hood and recovered the seats. The seats are already cracking again though.
At my 5 year warranty inspection, I signed up for a 4 pack of oil changes and the inspection. Tech comes in, says they won't change the oil because the engine is leaking all over the place and I'll have to bring back to have it repaired, so doing the oil change is pointless. Had it repaired under warranty to the tune of over $1,000. I haven't had heat in it for the last couple of years, including through the coldest winter Chicago has seen in a very long time. I'm just thankful for my heated seats, but the lack of heat kind of makes the remote start pointless. The radio interface started freezing, then sending static through all the speakers, and now it will turn on but not respond to anything. Something clunks in the front suspension, haven't looked but suspecting tie rod. I'm on my 4th set of front brakes and only have 90k on the car. 2 calipers are frozen, 1 front, 1 rear. The power steering hose split and spilled power steering fluid all over. Tried to order the part from the dealerships, and they all said it was on back order. Tried to get it from auto parts store, and they could not get it either. Finally put a hose repair kit on so I could get to work.
It's leaking oil, coolant, and power steering fluid all over the place again. The driveway is covered with fluids, and I have to park on cardboard so I stop destroying the driveway. I keep oil and power steering fluid in my car at all times. Took it to the dealership and they said the oil pan is probably cracked, and since I had my last oil change at a shop instead of the dealership, they would not cover anything. I don't remember them saying anything about the heat, but at that point I was fed up and angry and just ready to leave. There is indeed a ton of oil all over the engine, but I cleaned off the oil pan and did not observe any leaking coming from it yet, but there seems to be leaking from the top rear of the engine and somewhere mid-engine. I don't know if them not covering the leaks means that my warranty is pretty much dead, if it is, this car is gone, the only reason I've kept it is because of the warranty. I love the look and feel of the car, but there is more stuff that is broken than working at this point. Overall, I do like this car, but there's just too many major problems with it.

The dud doors and windows don't stop closing even when object aka- child is in the way!! Then I hear how unsafe in an accident and my faith in Dodge is gone. Also my dealer at Miller Dodge in Springfield, PA won't even help me get a different car. I have called Dodge and talked to many people who seem to care but nothing gets resolved. Shameful business.

23,000 miles, door locks fail, had to have the switches replaced. Windows would not roll up and down. In fact one was down and it stayed that way till the repair. 40,000 miles, started noticing weird electrical problems. Windshield wipers would come on by themselves occasionally and when I hit the blinkers to turn the washer, fluid would sometimes squirt and set the washers off. 43,000 miles - alternator failed. 60,000 miles, alternator again. Gas cap light comes on all the time even though its on tight with no problems. We even tried other caps. Went to have our new tires rotated and the shop says the rear end is out of alignment from the factory and there is no way to adjust the trail arms. Preset incorrectly at the factory and that is causing tire wear. Factory recall on something with the shifter. Took it in to have that done and they messed up the lights that come on in the indicator, blinks on and off and sometimes won't come on at all now, unless you tap it.
75,000 - had to replace both front rotors. Uneven wear. There was no manual available till 2014 Aug. Haynes put one out. 85,000 miles - body pieces feel loose, paints chipping away, truck gas shocks fail, another alternator! Lucky I got a lifetime warranty, one from auto zone and did it myself this last time. It's 600.00 at the dealership! and it's under 150.00 if you do it yourself. 100,233 miles - transmissions totally failing. I just barely made it my driveway - has 1 intermittent gear and it just suddenly happened, went from driving normally to fail on next start. I suspect electrical failure. I don't know what to do now.

I bought my 2012 avenger earlier in the year of 2014. The car had just under 18000 miles on it and I had to take it back to the dealership to get the throttle body replace - after owning the car about five months, I had them to check front brakes. They told me I needed new rotors and brake but they couldn't tell me why. When braking, the car gets a loud vibrating noise at the front passenger side. I told them I would keep an eye on it. I inspected it myself and found rotors and brakes are fine but the rotor is actually rubbing on the brake caliper bracket, in turn causing rotor to heat up while braking. Only option I have now is to buy new brakes and rotors and replace them, or have rotor turned to clean up top inner edge and hope for the best. So far these are the only problems I've had. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought this car new and soon afterwards that every time you back up and apply the brakes they squeal, and I don't mean a little bit, but enough to wake the whole neighborhood. I brought it back to the dealership and they told me they could not fix the problem, that it was a flaw from the factory. I contacted the Chrysler Corp. and told them they needed to do a recall on this car and fix the problem. I have read many other complaints about the same problem. All of us Avenger owners need to contact the BBB and file a complaint (I have already done so). The louder the cry the more apt they are to respond.

In July of 2013 I purchased a brand new Dodge Avenger SE V6 from Bayside Chrysler in Diberville MS which is the worst place to ever buy a car. The very first day I notice it pulling to the right and a wind sound coming from the driver door. A week later I notice constant rough shifting, clunking, shuddering and popping sounds coming from the steering and motor mounts. I took it to the dealer and they reflashed the transmission which made no difference and they told me that it was not pulling to right and they did not hear any sounds. I have since taken the car back multiple times and told that they cannot duplicate the problem. I even call Chrysler consumer care which was no help at all. They just told me it was nothing they can do. One year later the transmission is even worse, now it's slamming into drive, thumping hard when coming to a stop. Still no help from dealership or Chrysler. Chrysler is a car company that is behind in time and still repeatedly producing poorly engineered crap. No wonder they needed to be bailed out.

I bought my Avenger in November and December, my brakes were making loud squeaking sound. I took it to shop, they said that nothing could be done. I took it back in July and they said same thing, it just what the avenger do. Now it's SEPTEMBER and it is getting louder. I took it to shop today and he said maybe stop squeak will work. I'm so fed up. I'm driving a new car and it sounds like a clunker. I would not recommended for anyone to buy this car. If you thinking about buying a Avenger PLEASE DON'T. I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE. NEVER EVER BUY A AVENGER.

Around May of 2013, I purchased what would become my second Dodge Avenger, this one being a 3.6 L SXT Plus, my first being a 2008 SE model. I would like to point out that I will be adding (2008) next to any complaint that also occurred on that year vehicle. As stated, I purchased my 2013 around May, but to my disbelief, I started noticing that the car pulled to the right (06/22/2013, 3,296 miles). Initially, I thought it was the road, it wasn't. This kept occurring, and I took it in once again for the same reason (08/10/2013, 6,255 miles). On 10/5 and 10/12 2013, 9,767 miles, I was back in the shop for the same thing; however, this is when my transmission started acting up also.
I noticed that my shifting became rough, the car would make a "clunking" noise if I slowed and gave it gas again; in fact, this happened so often that passengers would ask me what was wrong with my car. One mechanic from Joe Cecconi's Chrysler Complex went on to tell me that Chrysler puts "snow mobile type transmissions" into their Avengers, and there is nothing they can do to correct this. Between 10/12 and 10/31/2013, my car was back in for repair, but I could not get an appointment until 10/31/2013 (9,767 miles) due to my work schedule. This time, it was pulling to the right, and a repairman gave me an explanation of YOH steering (??) and that it was normal for the car to do this. 12/11/2013, 14,307 miles, I was back in because of the pulling, the car had also been shaking for the past couple of months when I drove at faster speeds.
My car went into the shop several times afterward (2/26/14, 5/1/14) with the same issues. At this time, I had already given up the complaints about the pulling and the transmission. I explained to them that I rotated my tires and the shaking and pulling continued. I had just gone to Virginia, my girlfriend had an interview, and we wanted to move there. On my way to Virginia, I heard my car's steering column make noise, especially when I slowed and started taking turns. I drove back home this way and on 6/4/14, I took my car in and I was told that there was nothing going on and the techs could not replicate my problem. 7/14/14m another trip to Virginia, My brakes were squealing and the car was vibrating. It was evident that they were starting to warp, and they told me that I needed to pay for a diagnosis, just to tell me what it was, even though the bumper to bumper warranty is still in effect. I was told that braking systems are not covered, and the cost would be $49.99, and then additional to repair the problem.
7/30/2014, I went back in, Chrysler's description, drivability. Once again, it was the car driving poorly. I have gotten the runaround from Chrysler so many times, my transmission is still clunking, the steering still makes a popping noise after getting back down from high speeds and at times just at city speeds, my car is vibrating more than normal. Normal being no vibration. I don't know what to do. I can't keep getting into a deeper hole because Chrysler refuses to make better quality vehicles and I am stuck in a pile of debt that will be worthless than I owe in no time. There are many websites that complain about the same issues I am having, but I am clearly not the only one with this complaint. What do I do??

I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger. At first this car was great. Then things started to go wrong, pretty quickly. Thankfully I have a lifetime warranty which is why I have had this car for so long. Some of the problems I have had include the leather seat cracking and tearing within the first year of ownership, the automatic windows failing to work at random, the transmission slipping almost every time I drive it.
I've had my rear differential replaced, my alternator blew, and now my drive shaft needs replacement. I have been waiting for over a month for a new drive shaft that has rendered me without a car since May 28. I have been told 7 different dates when to expect the part. And then the part finally came in on today, July 10th, but now I have to wait a week for them to get my car into service. Their customer service is awful, they have not been able to tell me for a month when I can expect the part or when my car will be fixed and now in two days, oh the part has shipped and oh the part is here. The whole process has left a bad taste in my mouth, like they are doing this on purpose to get me to get rid of my car.
The lifetime power train warranty is very strange. My driver side window lifter broke (that's not the actual part but it raises and lowers the window) and that was covered but a valve inside my intake manifold was not that was a $600+ job. I had a servo go bad which required my entire dashboard to be taken out, that was almost $700 in labor and a $60 part. I have also encountered some maintenance issues as well, including not being able to replace my own spark plugs because to do so I have to remove my intake manifold to get at the three rear spark plugs. All in all this is the last Chrysler car I buy, ever!

If you buy a Dodge Avenger (or any Dodge product) drain all the oil out and put that fully synthetic oil in. Can't believe they haven't suggested this yet. If you don't, your check engine light will come.. screw up your timing chain and eventually blow your engine. If you didn't do this right after you bought it, you may have to flush your system. Conventional oils does not work well with these models.... Save your time. The dealership is clueless.

I recently bought at 2013 Dodge Avenger SE in February 2014. I have been in love with this car. I love the way it handles and it's roomy enough in the backseat for my twins. That all changed on June 25, 2014. I had driven my car about 15 miles to work; went inside came back out within 10 minutes, started the car and the exhaust pipe caught the right rear bumper on fire. Scared me to pieces. My car is currently at the dealership and they are telling me that although my car is still under full factory warranty, this does not apply.
Apparently they want me to believe that by parking my car, I must have picked something up in the exhaust pipe that caused it to overheat as soon as I started my car. The only trouble with this is that I researched and there was a recall on this particular issue with some 2013 Dodge Avengers, so basically I am waiting now to see how this plays out. After this incident I don't know if I would ever by a Chrysler product.

I'm not sure where to begin! After approx 3 months of buying this car, which by the way had 1 mile on it, on date of purchase. I began to notice a horrible screech coming from the back end. This noise continues with a total of 8 times to the Dodge dealership and 1 time for a Power control module. It has approx 15,000 miles on it. I drive a lot for my job! Which by the way I have had to find other alternative means for transportation to fulfill my obligation to my job! My husband has contacted corporate and he gets the same response. "Well, you need to take it in one more time, one more time." Seriously!!! I just picked it up today 05192014 and drove off the lot less than 1/8 of a mile and sqqqqeeekkkk. I drove it back to the service shop and my husband had the service manager hear the noise. He shook his head and said, "I just don't know, I am seriously embarrassed."
They have been great there at the service center and I don't believe it is their mechanics fault. The brakes or whatever is going on with this car is their fault! My husband called Dodge corporate and they will get back to it. However I am in fear of driving this car and I would like the public to know that this is beyond ridiculous and I feel it is dangerous that we as customers are let out the door with break problems. It is not only our lives but potentially the lives of others that are at risk with these cars!
I have read several of these concerns on this site and most of which are complaints of brakes. WHAT CAN WE DO??? In Utah the lemon law says 4 times for the same thing. I also referred to the booklet in my car regarding the lemon law and pulled of the state "Lemon Law". I am going to file this car under the lemon law and hopefully get some results.
By the way, I buy a new car approx every 2 to 3 years because I HAVE to have a reliable dependable car for my job. I have NEVER had these types of issues!! I also have plans to wrap this car if nothing is resolved and place big yellow lemons on it with all the attempts to fix my car and the failed attempts. I put 14 to 20 thousand miles a year on a car. The free advertisement is probably not what they will be hoping for in this case. I am done with the Dodge Avenger and personally have no desire to own another one in any make or model!!!
I wish all of you the best in your endeavors to resolve your Dodge Avenger issues!! Possibly if we all keep letting the public know what is happening out there and the potential danger of this car we will get noticed!!!

Passenger side floor boards had about 3 inches of water floating around, told me it was from the passenger window that would thunk real hard when putting it up, got a new window regulator and still get water in floor boards. Had to replace tires at around 30k miles... they rotted. Now as I am driving down the road the car will shut off. I have had it into the garage for all of these things to never have anything fixed. They told me not to worry about it shutting off... I finally told them what to kiss... Now I am saddled with a death trap, just waiting to be on interstate and get killed in this car. Also front bumper is falling off on drivers side...but yet again they blamed me. Took it to another place and they said, "no way," was it my fault... it was poor workmanship of that car.

FEB. 2013 I purchased a 2012 Dodge Avenger with 31,000 miles. It's now March 2014, less than two years old and here are the ongoing issues. Car hasn't started (no codes read) 5 times now, brakes squeal but pads/rotors are mint condition, head restraint airbags recalled, airbag module quit (min. $550) to fix, leaking trunk. The car now has 39,468 miles. The heater core needs replaced. $668 fix for a less than 2 year old car which just happens to not be covered under my extended warranty but the HVAC system is? Brown sludge and goopy slime flushed from radiator and hoses at 38,000. My manual doesn't suggest checking HVAC system out until 60,000 miles. Royally cheated with this vehicle and dealerships around town.

Purchased a 2010 Dodge Avenger in June 2013. Problems started immediately with the car and the car place where we purchased this vehicle. Took it back, told them about the leak and electrical problems. They put an inspection sticker on it and said it was OK. Neither thing was fixed. It took until November to have part of the electrical problem fixed and then they yelled at us because the car had no oil. We were shocked because we had requested an oil change with our FREE inspection. We came to find out in December that the engine had a problem and the oil was spewing out!!! It wasn't our fault at all.
Needless to say, we dumped the car and bought a different car, make and model, from a more reputable dealer and realized that the engine could have caught fire with all that oil on it. What a horrible time we've had with that car since June! Good Riddance! We learned a valuable lesson from this purchase, Always check anything you buy with a trusted mechanic.

So, I just purchased a 2013 Dodge Avenger SXT Rallye 4 Cylinder in April 2013. I drove it off the lot with 10 miles on it. The only change I made to the car was replacing the stock stereo with a name brand and replaced all of the speakers. The car for the most part has been terrific, great gas mileage, no engine problems and I have put 12000 miles on it already. I do maintenance on it often. The last of which was a month ago to change the oil. Lately I've been having a few minor problems with one main problem. My brakes are still good. I had them checked by professionals yet every day when I start my car and pull out to go to work and they squeak extremely loud like metal on metal. This has been happening for about 2 months now.
My trunk has a small leak due to the terrible design, and if it’s raining and I open the trunk water just flows right into the trunk compartment. My computer system misreads the tire pressure, which jumps from 30-39 psI throughout the day, which is too large of a number for temperature to be a factor. I also have large problems with the inside of the windshield fogging very badly and the defroster not really fixing it, but instead making the windshield sweat getting water in my dash which seeps into the defrost vents.
My main problem occurred on Saturday. The car was running fine. No engine lights, no problems. I drove a quarter mile to a store, came back and the car would not start. Every time I turned the key I could hear one solid "click" in the engine, and then nothing. My battery light came on as well as the engine light. I had two different people try to jump my car. The second one we kept the jumper cables on long enough that the battery and engine light went off, but still the same problem. I have been told by multiple people that it’s the battery. A few said the alternator may be bad, and today I was told the spark plug/starter may be bad. If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it I really need some advice so I don’t go replacing expensive parts that I don’t need to replace.

I bought my 2013 Dodge Avenger on 9/29/2012. On October 1st, I was back at the dealer. I was having issues with my brakes. I talked to the head mechanic and he test drove it. He said he could not see anything wrong with it. He then told me that it was a new car and that my brakes would have to get used to the way I drive. What not that I had to get used to them; but with the new technology today, they had to get used to me. Guess he thought I was really stupid!!! They never recorded the visit over the next 5 months. I took my car back 10 or 11 times over which 6 or 7 were not recorded.
In March they replaced my back rotors. Problem fixed according to them. Haha, over the next two months, I noticed my brakes were squeaking and hesitating again. Also, my rpm’s were skipping. I took it back to the dealer this last Wednesday. They called me today to tell me my car was done - new rotors on the front. They were so distorted, they couldn't believe it. Then said they had to shave my back rotors also. They were just put on brand new two months ago I told them. They said I was having hot spots.
Then they asked me if I was down shifting my car when I came down the incline frame Los Angeles. I said “Hello, been driving for 38 years and have never had to down shift coming down a mountain in an automatic car.” Answer me if I'm wrong but automatic should shift for you right. Then I asked them about the rpm’s. They said that it was all caused by the brakes. I told them they were crazy that I wasn't braking when the rims dropped I was going 65 miles an hour thought the car was going to stall. If you can help me with this issue, please call or text or email me please. Thank you.

I had posted back on December 18th about my trunk leaking and well they said they fixed it. But what's new now is the water leak has moved back to the third light and I also had water in my right taillight bulb area. This caused me to get pulled over by a Pekin Police Officer and a verbal warning was given. But wait, there's more! I had also had my grille replaced due to what looked like stress cracks. Now, the grille is completely loose on bottom and is scratching up the front bumper. I'm just waiting for whole body panels to start falling off.
I am completely floored by all these problems I am having with this vehicle. You know, I'd be more understanding if this was the first year for a new vehicle design, but this has been going on since 2008 and is still a persistent problem in the 2009, 2010, 2011 and the 2012 models. Wouldn't you think they'd have most of the kinks out by now? I will be contacting the Zone Manager of my area tomorrow and letting him know the situation and how dissatisfied I am with making the biggest mistake, purchase-wise, of my life on the 2010 Dodge Avenger SXT. My car looks like a horrible old weather-beaten car where the deterioration is. I find this very upsetting considering that I paid a lot of money for this car. I paid my car payments on time and paid my car off early. If you take the time to do a search Dodge clear coat chipping, you will be amazed how many car owners online that have purchased 1990 to 2007 are experiencing these same circumstances. I find it unbelievable that no one is held accountable for the defective formula of paint/clear coat that was used.
In the meantime, we consumers are left with a defective product that was applied to our vehicles and we are suffering the consequences. I would really appreciate it if you would please take the time to investigate how many people online have reported the same problem with Dodge, Honda, Toyota vehicle. And our Fort Worth Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge service department is standing by to keep your car, truck or SUV running smoothly for years to come. Our highly-trained technicians will maximize your Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle's performance. All service includes a multi-point vehicle inspection to identify developing problems so you can avoid future breakdowns."
Meador pre-rescues your car in the service bays so you don't get stranded on the highways! My car has been in and out of the repair shop for at least 6 times since I bought it. The last major repairs consisted of the engine light coming on. The car ran hot one day on my way home from work so I had to pull over at a gas station to have a tow truck to come pull and take it back to Meador Chrysler. The water pump was replaced, drive shaft stuck and now it has a cracked head gasket that is going to cost $3,445.00. This car now has 46000 miles. The contract warranty covers 36,000/3 years. I have put 26,000 miles on this car.
The adviser Mark has been rude and unwilling to work with me on getting my 2008 Dodge Avenger repaired. You would think as much as my car has been in and out the shop, that Meador Chrysler Jeep would take some responsibility. I contacted Motor Chrysler in getting my car repaired and then they contacted Mark/Meador Chrysler that said that my contract warranty was over and this was a pre-existing condition. When my car ran hot back in December 2008 and my water holes were replaced, temp gauge and the head gasket should have been reviewed on the diagnostic as well.

The day I went to get in I was brushing off the leaves/helicopters when I noticed on the paint circular marks where the helicopters were with streaking.
I took my car to a car wash to have this removed when the guy drying my car asked if something was wrong with the paint and showed me where in the clear coat was a permanent streaking... this is all over the car (hood, roof, trunk).
