I bought this cover for a new Black 911 Porsche. Within 3 months, it’s started breaking down from the sun (I presume) and leaves a heavy white powder coating on the car. Have to use car wash to remove it. Water first help. They offered to send me another one for the shipping cost. Why would I do this. It’s a cheap Chinese material. Garbage.

When calling in, your representative sounded angry, before I even shared my concern with her, I mention that the car cover was too large. She said that can’t be. She wanted me to prove that the cover was too large by emailing her a photo of the cover on my car. I told her are you questioning my integrity. My husband and I open the box, stretched out the cover next to my car and the length was 3 feet larger than my car. She said without a photo, for return it the shipping cost will be 21.56. I said, you want charge me for returning a car cover that was too large.

Easy to order and prompt shipping. Very expensive. Fit my car very well. BUT after leaving the cover on my car for a week, I found that it had stained the paint on the hood basically ruining the finish on my car. This was their “Ultimate Shield” product rated for indoor/outdoor use. A very reputable body shop said, "Sorry - nothing we can do but strip it to the bare metal and repaint." “Throw it away!!” Customer service said there was nothing they could do as their warranty didn’t cover this problem.

I purchased a cover from these people for my motorcycle trike, it took them about 2 weeks before I got it when I got it. The cover would swallow my motorcycle period. I got in touch with them and told them then they said, "We'll wait. Our department will get reach out to you," they did and requested me to take pictures of how big it was. And what how it covered my motorcycle. It wasn't simple and easy like they said. I waited about a week. They had already received my cover that I sent back. They told me as soon as I put my cover in for tracking. They would send me the new one. They didn't.

The covers are terrible, the 1st one lasted 1 year inside a garage, it deteriorated and left white powder all over my black car. Their lifetime warranty is a lie. It cost me around $60 for a replacement, the replacement lasted about 7 months and the same thing happened.

They have reach out to me and made everything right.

For Father's Day purchased a platinum car cover for my 2 door Jeep along with a platinum umbrella style sun shade protector for dashboard, I had mixed results, very pleased with car cover but the umbrella sun shade is a piece of junk, does not look like the model they show in installation instructions and is a useless waste of monetary. Has turned me off on ever doing business with this company (second car cover I have purchased). Never heard back from Car Covers on my complaint.

I would give a zero star if I could. I bought a $360 platinum trailer cover with a lifetime warranty. After two years it fell apart. I contacted them and they stated it's a prorated warranty and I needed to pay another $254 for a replacement. They sent me an invoice and I paid the $254. One week later they emailed me stating the cover is not on back order and I would have to wait 4 months. However, when I went on their website it showed that they had it in stock. They said they'll refund the $254 and cancel the warranty request. These guys are such a scam. They have tons of fake feedbacks on their website. There is nowhere on their website to leave a feedback. This is the only place I was able to find to let the public know to stay away from CarCovers.com. They are a rip off.

Do not purchase from them. The cover didn't fit, it had a seam that was open (sewing error), after 2 years in mostly shade the water runs right through it. I've had many covers, this was by far the worst purchase independent of any low price.

Terrible product. Platinum covers multiple leaks. Their excuse is that they see white particles from the padding on the bottom side of the cover and no water. What a complete farce. First time it rained and multiple leaks from their top-rated platinum cover. Does that mean their mid-grade cover comes with a hose attachment for extra water coverage. What a terrible company.

I bought a cover for my Honda Accord. After a year or less, it no longer was waterproof and leaked every time it rained. I had to send photos and they honored the warranty as long as I paid shipping. This year, berry stains from bird droppings came through the cover and stained my car. Now they are saying that they do not have a warranty policy for my cover. Definitely need to avoid this company. The quality of their covers are poor as is their customer service.

Sorry company. Bought 2 covers in 2023. One of them posted all up the vehicles were side by side. I bought the premium cover because it was the only one to have a lifetime warranty. Called them and told them. They wanted pictures so I sent them pictures. They text me back and said they would send me another one but I had to pay over a hundred dollars. I asked them why. They said it was prorated. I asked how come it was prorated with a lifetime warranty. Didn't get anywhere with them. They told me they would turn it over to management team. Haven't heard anything.

I have a Kia Soul. They said it's guaranteed fit. Their covers are designed for cars, not for crossover SUV's and bigger taller vehicles. I bought the ultimate cover and it only covers 3/4 of the front and sides and 1/4 of the tires. It is a really thick cover but it needs about 2 more inches of material. How can they say it is guaranteed to fit a taller bigger car the same as a sedan, that is false. They need to design covers specifically for the taller bigger vehicles.

Bought a cover for brand new Honda CRV X. Paid for “Silver” level coverage. The cover ripped in 5 months. I emailed them several times with no response. I finally got a response when I responded to a marketing email. They wanted $35 to replace it per the terms of their “warranty”. Do not buy from them.

I purchased and received the platinum cover for my van. The cover does not fit well at the bottom where the elastic band is, and allows the wind to get underneath pushing the whole cover up like a parachute. The grommets are plastic and any pressure from a wind gust can tear the cover material and stretch it. The adhesive patches don't hold well either. Even with multiple tie downs in the middle, front and back, these platinum covers are not outdoor worthy by any means. The warranty is a joke; after 30 days they just tell you to buy more patches and make you pay for the shipping if they do accept a warranty repair claim. This company is garbage...

Over the years I've purchased the Platinum Shields for my SUV and my car. I cover my vehicles religiously. About every 3 years the SUV cover hood starts deteriorating but the cover on the car is fine. I have to admit the car sits in the shade more. Carcovers.com has been very good at honoring their Lifetime Warranty on their Platinum Shield.

I purchased a gold rv cover in 2021, the fact that it had a lifetime warranty was great, so I thought, less than two seasons of use it started to fray and fall apart, keeping in mind it's only covered 4 months out of the year, they sent me a new one, but I had to pay shipping. Around 40.00 dollars. Now this one is having stitching issues, they're coming undone in various places, it is in fact covered aging but they want me to pay 239.00, it really is not lifetime warranty and should be advertised as limited lifetime, very dissatisfied with the cover and their polices!!

Worst customer service. My cover started tearing after 3 months. They are refusing to issue a refund for an obviously defective product. They are now blaming me for improper care. I received the cover and put it on my truck, not sure what I did wrong. Absolute a waste on my hard earned money!!

I ordered a top car cover from Carcovers.com, the kind that it would protect my Corvette from the elements. I've had it for less than 3 months and every time it rains, I noted that it seemed to allow water through the cover. I sent a request to the customer care center and they were not any help at all - asking me to send pictures of the cover and wetness, which I did; only to have them say it is normal to gave 1% of rain get through as the "holes" in the cover allow it to breathe. Well, this "cover" allows a heck of a lot more than 1% of water through as my car is as wet as it I had no cover on it in the first place. The cover only traps the moisture and then allows the moisture to bake into your vehicle.

Bought their best cover and after 30 days I noticed it was shedding. It got worse. I contacted the company and they told me it was 100% warranty but I would have to pay this high shipping both ways. Shipping would have been over a third of the cover. They admitted it was poor workmanship but still tried to charge me outrageous shipping cost. They would not talk to me. Just cancelled my warranty and cut off all conversation. I have all the emails saved.

Was taken by the “lifetime warranty” claim. What they don’t say is it’s not free. They make you pay about 1/3 of the original cost plus shipping. So you basically pay half of the original cost. Did that once and it already needs to be replaced. So it’s basically trash.

The claims on their website are a bit misleading regarding how their product holds up in the sun. We live in southwest FL. Our car is parked outside. We only use the cover when we are gone for an extended period of line. We have gone thru a number of their covers, each time they disintegrate in the sun and charge us a fee to replace it. Most recently the cover only lasted a year with only periodic use. When I showed them pictures of the disintegrating cover, they did not offer a free replacement but once again wanted to charge me a fee for a replacement. I would highly recommend staying away from purchasing one of their covers. Their website claims are misleading.

The cover fell apart after just one summer of use. The so-called “lifetime warranty” is a scam — they demanded extra money just to replace a defective product. Completely misleading and not worth a penny.

My cover has deteriorated in 2 years. Where I store my vehicle in a carport with open sides... so not directly in the weather. Do not believe their warranty is lifetime.. they want to charge me $85 to replace.

Covers you not hold up. You’ll be lucky to get two years if you’re in an area with decent sun. Mine made it about a year and a half. Be careful to read the fine print, the hundred percent warranty is not 100%. I had to pay about $100 to replace the cover that originally cost under $300.

I only gave this company a 1 star because I had to to be able to leave a review. This company is a fraud. We purchased a car cover for 200$ and it didn't last. Started crumbling and falling apart and when I contacted regarding the lifetime warranty I had to purchase again for $54 to receive. Here we are again 6 months later on the 2nd cover and yet again this company wants me to pay even more $72 to receive a replacement on this so called lifetime warranty. It's fraud. They are selling cheap covers knowing they don't last and then expect you to pay for a replacement. I'm done! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I bought a cover for my 2014 Corvette. They sent me a cover that was too big. Kept getting blown off so I purchased a ghost protector and that doesn't fit either so they won't refund the money for the cover and their ad says guaranteed fit and this thing blows off at the slightest Breeze. Stay away. There better companies out there. They're a bunch of Thieves.

Carcovers.com.... I'm so disappointed in their completely false warranties.. Bought an RV cover Jan 2024. Now July 2025 it's tearing repeatedly on the roof. Can't keep up with rips. The warranty when I purchased the cover said: "We will replace the cover FREE of charge if ANYTHING happens to it. Tears, Deterioration from sun, soiled, stained. etc.." Now trying to get a replacement and they want $104. dollars. Half the price I paid 18mo. ago. Warranty policy has been changed, but by law can't be back dated to when I made my purchase. New rule is proration for 1-2 yrs you get 60%, that was just recently changed down from 80%.

I purchased this cover in June of 2024. I have used it approximately 30 weeks total and not in the snow. I only use it when I can’t park in my garage. There are many deteriorating areas like in the picture I provided. Please note there is not a lifetime warranty on the cover. They prorate it. Carcover.com wanted me to pay $55 for a warranty replacement. Is that a lifetime warranty? I would highly recommend you order something else. I decided to throw it away and go with another company. My cover was the Gold 5L, which is supposed to be their best cover. It is also not very soft on the interior lining, they tout on their website that it is super soft, it is not.

Have to agree with all the negative reviews about CarCovers.com. The platinum lifetime warranty is a sham. It will last 5 years at best and they will charge you 50% of the original purchase price to honor THEIR Warranty. The covers DO NOT work well in rain. Overall, they are okay if you expect to get five years of use in sun conditions ONLY.

Wrong cover and after many emails back and forth with CarCovers' customer service they told me they were sending a replacement two separate times but they never actually shipped anything. Do not buy from this company. Their guarantee means nothing.

Stay away from this company. They do not stand behind their warranty. I purchased a cover in October, 2023. They advertise a lifetime warranty. Two and a half years later and it easily tears as you reposition it. Simply moving it and it tears. I of course reached out to them and I was told to send pictures, did that, then a picture of the label, did that as well as the order number which they acknowledged. Then two more pictures of rips I was able to create by just pushing my finger nail into the cover. But to get a replacement, I have to pay $100.00, or take a dirty discarded one for $75.00. I can send the cover back so they can look it over, but I’m sure they will find another roadblock and nothing was said that we’ll send a new cover. I find this company to be completely dishonest and a rip off. My guess is these covers cost them at most $25.00 so all I’d be doing is buy another substandard cover that won’t last three years and they make more money on me.

Purchased Silver Shield for $129. Came with 5 yr warranty. In just 7 mos material is disintegrating. Contacted company. Stated we could get a replacement cover for $35.99. They prorate the warranty, hence the cost. Crazy! Shouldn't disintegrate so fast.

READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING: I purchased a CarCovers.com platinum cover with gust straps and they failed with the first 20mph wind in my home state of New Jersey only 35 days after purchase. Carcovers.com suggested I purchase gust straps in case of wind, however their warranty does not cover any damage that may occur from such failure of straps. This damage occurred after the 1st lite wind that we received, and the gust straps purchased through carcovers.com failed. The gust straps included bungee cords and alligator clips. The clips broke, and the bungees snapped back. My car paint chipped from this strap failure.

We purchased a top of the line cover. After a year the fabric started to separate. We contacted the company because it stated they had a warranty. They would not send us a replacement cover but acted like they were doing us a favor by sending a patch. I contacted the BBB but apparently a patch is acceptable for warranties. I’m wondering how many patches I will need to use before I get a replacement.

Avoid this company at all costs. The customer service is abysmal, you get lied to all the time about tracking numbers couriers delivery dates. I have no confidence in this company to actually provide a quality product after the experience I’ve had. They’ve been nothing but misleading, and lying about my purchase, which is yet to arrive. They don’t tell the truth about delivery dates the courier they use or much of anything. Even getting a refund is incredibly difficult. Just avoid these guys and go to a reputable company to buy a car cover for your vehicle.

I bought the platinum lifetime warranty cover. $265 they advertise it as the best cover. Two years later the cover is falling apart. The stitching is deteriorating. Call the warranty department and they want me to pay $100 to submit my claim. Save your hard earned money. Don’t buy from this company Carcovers.com. They sell you on false promises and they will not honor the warranty. They won’t reply back to my questions.

Purchased their top-of-the-line car cover in September of 2024, purchased the gusset tie downs, two broke the moment I put them on. Called and they replaced them, October of 24 a month later another clip broke. Average temp at this time is 60 degrees. Called to complain, all they were willing to do was refund me the hold down money of $16, claim it was past the 30 days period to return the cover. Do yourselves a favor, spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

I purchased a car cover for my 2011 Honda Accord. I never opened the box because I purchased a new CRV. I called and asked if I could exchange it. They said yes but never mentioned the restocking fee. Yes, it was in the small print so my bad. The new SUV cover is too big, even though I purchased the recommended cover, but I am already $200 into this mess. Amazon or someone else for me next time.

I bought a platinum shield cover in April of 2023 for a new car that I had just purchased. At first it did very well and kept the car clean underneath even with sitting outside. Fast forward to today and the material of the cover has deteriorated to paper thin, brittle material that repels little to no water and rips very easily. The car is also consistently filthy underneath when the cover is removed despite being clean as a pin when it is covered. I wouldn’t be as concerned about this normally but this cover was several hundred dollars and is marketed as if it is legitimate competition for other established brands. I did not bother with trying to pursue a warranty claim on this as it would just have resulted in getting the run around as others have noted on this forum.
