Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Please bring back the Herbalife mint chocolate. My co-worker and I want to get a lot in advance. We love that flavor. It's the best! Too bad.

Herbalife is repeatedly sending emails to everyone in my email contact list supposedly from me promoting their work at home business. This is done in such a way as it looks as if I am promoting their business to everyone I know, and now they are using my mother's email to do the same thing! This is horrible because I have legitimate business contacts in my email contacts that are being bombarded with these bogus emails!

I, too, fell for the get-rich plan from Herbalife. My so-called mentor Patty ** from FL has made me wait 60-plus days for a $200 refund that should have been done a week after I refused the package with my starter kit. I let her know before my money was taken out of my account that I couldn't afford to put any more money into the plan when she stated that she still needed $70 for further services I needed to even start working. She said that she understood and a refund would be no problem. Well, as stated before, 60-plus days later and I still have not received the refund and have gotten a run around from everyone I have talked to at Herbalife about their mentor's non-compliance.

E-mails that are sent are listed as contacts in your contact list. The contacts did not send them. When you open the mail, a virus is sent to your computer and they get your contact list and e-mail your contacts in your name to sell their products. Each time you open this site, they keep stealing contacts from your contacts. It is an on-going virus. I changed my password to stop it from my computer.

Caroline ** contacted me and emailed me about this fantastic opportunity to work from home so I could be with my child and earn money. She arranged a time to talk and was all professional about everything and then I paid $9.99, then $39.00 and then $325.00. I stopped because it was getting more expensive. I was being drowned in testimonies about how fantastic this company is and how much money I would make if I just paid more money. Then Caroline had the nerve to tell me that if I don't do anything to change my life nothing will happen.

Seriously, I don't at all have $325.00 to spend. I didn't really have the first lot. Why is this happening? Why are mothers and the unemployed being tricked into this? Why hasn't it been stopped yet? How can they advertise this on TV? I'm so upset and I know that I am a real human with real feelings and you can't mess with me life with this and get away with it. You can't do this to our mothers who are trying to help their families by earning some money while working online.

I, Donna ***, see online that I could start my own business online and starting to make money with in three weeks for only $9.95 for an online info pack kit. One month and $400 later and about 100 hours of listening to their training program and doing what it said to do, I still did not see any money from this . So I called Tina ***** and told her I would like my money back and I would send her the kit back . She said she could only a give me $49.95 back which she did . But I felt they should return all my money. This program does not work.

I was contacted by Brian at Herbalife and he came a pitch on how to work from home. The income I would make, he sent me 2-month supply of Herbalife at the cost of $400.00. This included a bag and some DVDs. Well, his coach got into our conversation and the talk changed from me working with them to how much credit do I have and if I couldn't come up with $2,000.00. They really couldn't help me get a supervisor position, which by the way you buy. So when I couldn't afford that amount, I suggested starting as a distributor so I can at least make some type of income. He dropped me and never contacted me or returned my calls. He ripped me off of 400.00 dollars.

Heard this ad on talk radio for at home business. Called and they told us to pay a one-time payment of $9.99 and we did. When we did they opened up the bag by telling us it was Herbal Life MLM. We felt deceived by their practices. It doesn't end here. The lady out of the blue charges our debit card for $39.95 a month later. Buyer, beware of Work Part Time at Home and magworkathome.com. This is a scam.

Illegal business! Not sanitary. Do not follow the rules and policies of the company. Do not wash cups and blender. They are very rude. They give the wrong stuff to consume.

On Jan. 12 I signed up with LineLogix and paid $39.95 for an online business training packet. Even before I got my packet in the mail, I was called by a Heidi ** (who also goes by Heidi **) who claimed to be my coach. I told her I preferred to talk to her only after I had read the material.

When I received the material by FedEx on Jan. 15, I followed the instructions on the kit and emailed Heidi and we arranged a call appointment for Jan. 18 at 7 pm. A few minutes before the appointment, I got a call from Heidi asking to reschedule, which we then reset for the next night. But when I missed the next night's call and tried to reach Heidi by email to rearrange a new appointment, I could only leave messages on the numbers she had given me, which either went directly to voice mail or was answered by some really sour woman who sounded very offended that I'd called that number.

When I finally sent Heidi a message that I wanted to be assigned a different coach as it was obvious she and I were not working out, all I got back from her was a very aggrieved text message on my mobile phone. When I wrote her an email, she said my account would not be cancelled, transferred or refunded unless I returned the packet she mailed me. She also said she could not help me find a replacement coach.

I mailed the package back on Jan. 28 according to the instructions I was given and thought that was the last of it. On Feb. 11 my visa card was charged again another $39.95 by Heidi **/retail merchant. I have since called Heidi several times to complain about the charge but as of today, Feb. 16, I have not heard back from her.

I now have had to call my bank to put a stop payment on any future transaction charges from Heidi. Unfortunately, the bank can only stop payment on the retailer posted. Should Heidi change her name, she can still use my card, which she has already done for this second charge. Now I am the one inconvenienced further by having to file a fraud claim and cancel my Visa card and get another that this Heidi **/ Heidi ** scoundrel has no access to. Line Logix and Herbalife should do something about this person as she is obviously ruining their good name.

BestBuy Diet dba Buyers Best Bet LLC is an internet marketer of one of Herbalife's products known as "Total Control". I felt confident buying into the system ordering this product online because of Herbalife's known reputation. However, after receiving this product I decided to cancel the order before others would arrive. I never accomplished getting in contact with these people! They took every available means to block my attempts to make contact with them! How convenient of them, sic !! So within two weeks, I became aware that a debit was deducted from my bank of 43.95. Again, made numerous attempts to try and get my $43.95 credited.

I never received any other products from them. Consequently all my attempts of trying to reach these people failed. I then decided to write a letter to which a response was made leaving me a message on my phone saying they were refusing to credit me because I was well aware of their system and if I had any more concerns to contact bestbudydiet which I learned early on this was without a doubt bogus!! In fact, their customer support website is bogus and their customer service telephone # is bogus! This truly does not sound like a legitimate business when they block every means of communication from you. They get your money fraudulently and then they block their phones and website. How convenient of them wouldnt you say? So how am I as a customer have the opportunity to cancel when they prevent you from doing so?

While drinking my shake, I have found small pieces of white plastic shavings in my drink. As I use nutritional mix and protein mix, I don't know which container it is from.

I ran into Herbalife when I was in my 20's (over 30 years ago). So I decided to check into it and sell it. I received my starter kit for $101. I accidentally hit onto your website and started educating myself on the problems of Herbalife. I do believe your testimonials. Their CDs show people claiming how successful they are and they have acne, blood shot eyes, and a lot of make up. Their website is very hard to navigate. So I shared this info with them and got no response. I was very alarmed with the lead amounts in their products since I have four grown daughters. I think I'm lucky to get out now.

I began investigating Herbalife products after receiving reports of liver injuries. As it turns out, Herbalife's products are loaded with ingredients known to cause liver damage including lead.
Herbalife admits that it does not trest its products for safety and given the reports that have been published, the proof, as they say is in the pudding.

If you google Herbal-lead.com you can read all about it.

I signed up with Herbalife and was provided TouchFon service to act as an answering service for my business. I realized several days later that I had made a big mistake getting involved with Herbalife. Unlike many other stories I've read, I actually got my money back within a few days. Except...I was getting billed for TouchFon. I called and cancelled but it showed up on my credit report as a $35 debt. I called to have it removed and after several calls and conversations, the debt was cleared and I was sent a payoff letter via fax. Fast forward 5 years. I'm now seeing TouchFon on my credit report showing a $37 unpaid debt. They of course show no record that I ever paid and conveniently have no record that they wiped it several years ago.

Unfortunately, I gave the payoff letter to the lending agent when I bought my house and didn't keep a copy. To just get this behind me, I called the collections company that represents TouchFon and they said I now owe 53 dollars and some change>INTEREST! I refused to pay the interest and when they finally told me they would waive it, I was so fed up I told them I wouldn't pay anything. I am waiting for a call from Marva at TouchFon and will keep calling them every hour, every day until they clear this charge.

First instance of this showing up on my credit report not only dropped my score, but it was a requirement to resolve the debt in order to get a house. Now I'm buying another house and it must be resolved once again (as if resolving it once wasn't enough).

In early September, my husband and I received our training package in the mail and decided to give this a try. Lorri seemed to have such a great story but lacked knowledge in many areas regarding the company. We decided to cancel and get our $200 back. This took almost a month and many phone calls to Lorri before she finally took action. We were no longer a priority. After sending back the dvd training package we thought all was over. On December 24th we received a random charge in Lorri Haven's name on our credit card. I tried to call her everyday and left messages.

I finally caught her and she said that corporate charged us for an unreturned package. Initially we were told that they would charge us 14 days after not receiving the package.....not almost 4 months later!!! She said that she was just being nice and I told her that a phone call would have been nice at the end of the 14 days to let me know that they had not received it. She continued to argue with me and give excuses but what scares me is that now I have no way to track the package down and her company has been storing my credit card information. Needless to say, I've disputed the charge and cancelled my credit card!! BEWARE!!!!!!

I signed up with Herbalife becuase I was told by the seller that the product was organic. I purchased thousands of dollars of products. Then it took me months to figure out and get the information from the distributor that the products were not orgainic...how funny since it was told to me to seal the deal.

They said they didn't know what organic meant. I say that Herbalife should be stating that before you order thousands of dollars of stuff. they have so many disclosers that they are trying to cover their butts...they need to take responsibilty

I ordered sample Pack of products. The products sent were beyone the expiration date. The nutrition bars were CRAWLING with little brown insects; and the soy nuts were RANCID. One replacement bar was sent; and it too is seven weeks beyond the expiration date. I did not open it; as I do not want to go through the expense and the effort of cleaning out my pantry again. One bag of soy nuts was sent; I haven't opened it.

The products sent in NO WAY compensate for the products origionally ordered; and the approximately two bags of groceries I had to throw away due to the bug infestation.

My pantry soon became infested with the little brown bugs. I had to clean it out; throw away many items; disinfect the shelves; replace shelf paper. You can imagine the frustration when the replacement products were received; and they were also infested. NOT to mention the fact that they are only part of the origionally ordered products I had recieved that were beyond their expiration dates; and infested.

I was trying to lose weight and bought the Herbalife Original Green Tablets and their beige tablets. The Original Green tablets contained SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE. This ingredient is meant to be used as a degreasant (to strip floors) and as a sudsing agent in detergents and cleansing products. Over a period of time I started to develop hives and everyday they would get worse - hives on my neck, chest, arms, back, upper legs and privates. The only thing different I had done was start water aerobics and the Herblaife tablets.

With hives I couldn't go to water aerobics and I had hoped to work on a certification as an instructor. After a week it was obvious it wasnt water aerobics or the chemicals in the pool. I went to see the VA hospital and brought the Herbalife tablets with me. He told me quit taking the tablets and my hives were reduced. However, I noticed the hives would get worse when I showered. Also, I started to get hives from sulfties in foods. I only had an allergic reaction once in my life and it was over 10 years ago when I was in the USAF. They had given me a sulfa antibiotic and after a few days I had hives. The USAF told me never to take sulfa antibioitcs and I have never had any other problems until I started the Herbalife tablets.

Herbalifes directions say take 1-3 tablets twice a day. I took about 2-3 a day. Herbalife said they've changed their ingredients and the new bottles dont have SLS.

I am not sure what to do next, but my life has turned into hell from this and you have no idea how miserable life is when you are covered in itchy, red hives. People look at you like you have a disease so you cant hardly go out unless you are all covered up and its torturous to constantly itch when you accidentally come in contact with SLS or sulfties. I cannot use normal soap, shampoo, bodywash/handwsh or detergents. If I do, I get a horrible case of hives.

I've started a herbalife work from home 3 months ago. They said I will make $25 to $50 p/h australian dollars, since then I have made nothing. I've advertised, wasted my money, got a web site paying $25 a month, got the supervisor package for $5400 aust for the tablets weight loss and all made nothing from that. I'm very upset, I want my money back. I want to quit, I feel awful, I got two kids. Instead of making money I've wasted lots of money.
