Spent 25 Minutes trying to use "self-service" tools for an issue related to I'm trying to fix a simple Teams calendar issue. MS is not recognizing any of my sign in options. Tried calling their 800 number but got caught in endless loops and then had them disconnected. Finally, after 46 minutes reached a live person but their job was just to redirect me to the team that will create a case to solve the access issue. Then it will be another person to resolve the original Teams issue. No direct numbers available to call them so you are at their mercy. Nothing to tell you about wait times, hold times etc. The last time I had a MS issue it took me about 17 hours over a 4 month period to solve that issue. Tried to provide feedback via the app they suggested but the link was broken. I would not be a customer except for the fact that I have clients who use them. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

It took at least 10 minutes of ignorant AI to reach a unqualified tech. I then was told that I'd be transferred to a level 2 support and sat on hold for another 5+ minutes, when the call was disconnected. Microsoft's AI is tech and human support is BS!

Never get Barclays Xbox MasterCard! They will never honor their reward points! I got this card because their console direct me to their page to earn points while gaming! I got the card and used to buy a single item with promise of using their introduction points 6000. The purchase was 3800 applied points to purchase! Guess what, you got to pay it Cash! Used Barclay bank redeem page to make the purchase. Not I'm stuck between Xbox AI support which doesn't exist, Barclay reps which are clueless or don't want to help at all. Called even Master Card which is part of, to no available! Avoid, avoid at any cost! All support was overseas! This is ridiculous!

If I could have chosen ZERO stars then I would have! Microsoft does NOT offer live support to home users. They only care to pad their wallets and give the time of day to business accounts. This is horrendous and absolutely lack luster customer care and support. When I have an issue with an Apple device they may keep you on hold for a while but at least they haven’t completed neglected their everyday consumer. Just one more reason Microsoft isn’t worth anyone’s money anymore!

I was flagged on GitHub, a subsidiary Microsoft, for bullying and harassment, based on evidence tainted by report bombing from individuals who displayed the same and worse behavior. I submitted a reinstatement request and was met with two responses, neither of which were completely manual, one of which even linked the repository where the evidence of the other side can be found and was clearly not human reviewed. I tried contacting Microsoft on the Better Business Bureau website and they denied their ownership of GitHub, against all the evidence that begs to differ. I'd like Microsoft to own up to their deception and at least have a human review my case and prove that it was with a response on the ticket that is manually typed by human hands. My GitHub ticket number is #**.

I don't I've ever used a more useless and frustrating platform before. I was excited to see the various resume templates that were available. DO NOT USE THEM. Even just copying and pasting the information from my outdated resume took over two hours. The formatting is set in stone and any little change you make will through your entire document into disarray. I tried to get rid of an awkward huge gap under of my paragraphs and I couldn't; I tried to delete the space and all of a sudden the order of everything changed, there are overlapping text, and information was deleted. How is that even possible. Once I have my resume I will be promptly cancelling my subscription with Microsoft and I will never be using it again. Not worth the money, stress, frustration, and time.

Been about 2 weeks trying to get help with 2 errors I am getting while trying to install update. 1 is there fix to the Oct. update **. 2 is installing manually from the catalog that are missing (never showed up in normal Windows update). About 7 people, 2 of which were 'floor supervisors' more on that in a minute. I have had nothing but my time wasted, lied to, and ignored. Can pretty much summarize all the chats (no phone support). The same repeated scripts, same excuses. Troubleshooting steps don’t work (I tried them all before contacting support) but yet they will only repeat the same steps and lie that are repeating or doing a script.
On to the supervisors. First one today took a miracle to get after being lied to and ignored for an hour by the person prior) basically ignored me and sent me back to the same person who just ignored me (after they repeated the same script 5 times). No let me help or any type of reply beyond let me get you back to the prior person. Ok back to person and get to another 'supervisor' again a miracle who claimed more than 3 times that they would 'fix the issue rest assured' uh... sure.
Anyway started nice for once. I explained the problems I been having etc... (mentioning the other support reps) claimed that it would never happen again (insert laugh) and so I try to proceed to getting the issue fixed (he promised remember). Get nowhere, repeats same script again and denied doing so and sent me back to the same person again!!! The person who lied and sat silent for an hour (as the other supervisor did). It’s very obvious to me that support has no accountability and will do anything to get rid of you. Make false promises and or claims. Waste your time and repeat same scripts. 2 weeks and problem hasn’t been fixed or addressed I might add.
I will also add several others on their own site have reported the same exact issue and noted none of the troubleshooting has worked including a reinstall (their learn forum) so it’s not just me having the problem. The Oct fix one is a new issue I will admit but the second one I’m sure is not new and probably happened many times over the years (going back to Windows 98).
Moral of the story don’t expect any help from Microsoft. According to one person who failed to answer any valid question or explain anything we the user (in summary) cause the problems and label us as "not acting appropriate" swearing" or any other excuse (yes that's a summary, not their words but you get the idea). Recap their oct monthly update has bugs (hint a hot fix release). Their nov. preview I believe mentions the error and or issue I tried getting help with (none of which had anything to do with their "troubleshooting" to fix), and they treat us like garbage.

I have used Microsoft advertising for my website for a few years. Recently I was banned and my account was blocked. I asked why and they can not tell me I called and emailed multiple times wasting many hours of work time to speak to unhelpful staff at Microsoft. I say unhelpful as they simply could not tell me why other than a violation of the Microsoft Advertising Egregious Policy? My ads haven't changed in years so I am lost to how I violated their policies. Researching the Microsoft Advertising Egregious Policy looks like MANY people get life bans for unknown reasons reasons. Avoid at all cost. Total waste of time and money.

For Microsoft, it works 90% of the time, but when things go wrong - especially when small companies like mine are trying to get support. You can only go through the portal, and when you call, they tell you that it's in queue and someone will call me...they never do. We also have a ticket open since July and it's still "waiting to be assigned". We may be a small company at 500 employees but when we lose a functionality, it makes a significant impact. I guess this is why people move to Google Workspace.

I don't even want to give a one star. One-Drive is acting like one of the worst viruses I've ever had. Set up 2 computers this week and it synced them - I NEVER want my computers synced with anything. When I hit "save" it's saving to one drive and won't let me disable that. When I tried to disable it then it gave me an inaccessible error and I lost over 100 hours of work. I called in for assistance (only took 4 hours to find a human contact), went through the issues with him and he tried to sell me yet another Microsoft product. Finally he said he would have a tech call me but, in fact, it was him that called me trying to pretend that he was a tech then tried to sell me a product. I told him he wasn't helpful and hung up. He called me back and when I answered, hung up on me, then did that again.
I've tried online forums but when I thanked the guy for his answer but told him why the solution didn't work and went on to say what the salesperson did, my response was deleted. Microsoft really doesn't seem to give a hoot if their products actually function in the real world. And I am now trying to figure out which of my old computers to see if I can get them repaired and throw these new ones away.

I paid for my account at Office 365. I am locked out because someone changed my security phone and password giving them my account. Or a virus in their system. Microsoft informed me my information does not match their information so they locked the account from me. They inform me I have to wait 30 days before they decide if I am the owner of my account. Something rub you wrong about this? My contract was for a year. It was recently opened. So I can't get my Outlook mail. The only thing I can think to do is go to my bank and ask for a refund from Microsoft. Maybe that will wake them up to who paid for the account. My desktop used the Microsoft data to sign in so I can't sign in to my property. I can't get into my computer.
This is a serious issue when an entity can lock you off your desktop because they can't control their security. They just don't care. I can't call or post an email because you need to be able to sign in to your account to do it. Get this. They can contact through my Gmail but they need 2 steps they stated on the useless recovery system. They literally send texts to my phone they claim is not my contact number in order to send codes to my email inbox. Which is the 2nd contact they need, they state it is the wrong number. And the worst is they claim this damage to me is in the name of security.

I used to rely on Excel and Word for precision workflows—scattered copy, hybrid selection, non-contiguous formatting. Microsoft broke those features without warning. They removed core functionality, forced Snipping Tool as a workaround, and buried real support behind a cluttered, confusing website. I waste time trying to fix what they broke—and I’m paying for it. This isn’t innovation. It’s sabotage. I’ve submitted feedback and filed complaints on Trustpilot and ComplaintsBoard. I’ll be posting this publicly on BBB, Reddit, and Twitter/X, tagging executives and exposing this mess to every user who’s been burned by their arrogance. Microsoft deserves every ounce of backlash coming their way.

There IS no customer service. They know they have us over a hump and they’re never going to change it. It is ridiculous to think that Microsoft could possibly think that utilizing AI for their support instead of having real people to talk to could be a reliable and viable source of customer service. It is the MOST frustrating way for a business customer to receive support to solve an issue with their account. Especially considering all we wanted to do is resolve a billing issue and ensure payment is made for our account. I understand this is possibly Bill Gate's way to penny pinch and put money in his pocket instead of supporting real families that might need a job, but this is outrageous to expect customers to speak to a damn robot to solve their issues with Microsoft products. I wish I could provide a zero rating.

I went to their website to renew my Microsoft 365 subscription so that I could update some documents and attach them to a job application. I chose the $9.95 a month subscription, and after paying (and them taking the money from my bank account) It did not activate. I want to the AI chat, and it just kept telling me to check this and check that. Nothing worked, and it never activated. So after waiting and messing with it for about a half an hour, I gave up.
When I went to cancel the subscription it gave me two choices, cancel and enjoy your one month subscription and you won't be charged $9.95 again in October, or end subscription now for a refund of the $9.95. So I clicked on end subscription now to get the refund. And immediately the page came up, your subscription will be good until October 9th. So, no refund for me! I am so sick and tired of these rip off companies who fraudulently keep your money and give you no service for it! It is just so infuriating. But if you try to report it to anybody, nobody does anything about it! So they continue and continue to do it! Just wanted everybody to know what a bunch of crooks they are!

I don’t get how Microsoft isn’t held accountable for shit. I went to play my Xbox a few weeks ago and it told me upon powering on that my “account was locked for security purposes” and I’d need to verify my identity to use it. I filled out the online form, answered all of its questions correctly, and it told me they couldn’t verify my identity and would therefore block my account entirely. Tried talking to customer service, which is driven by an AI that literally doesn’t understand any prompt it’s given whatsoever. Despite that, I’m still being charged for my Xbox subscription, and was told in my monthly renew email that if it’s incorrect, to contact billing @Microsoft.com, so I did, and was promptly informed by my email that that doesn’t exist. All my games, all my progress, all the time, all the money spent on said games, console, subscriptions, completely gone, and they’re still continuing to charge me. Disgusting.

For a company as enormous as Microsoft, one would imagine that the customer support would be sourced in such a manner as to minimize fraud from third party vendors. Today, I was almost defrauded by gentlemen purporting to represent Microsoft. I initially called Microsoft customer service to discuss subscriptions.
