DavID of Cincinnati, OH October 1, 2009 We bought a washer dryer from Lowe's. They installed them backwards so that the the doors touch when open. The washer doesn't clean the clothes. There is frequently a mildewy smell to everything. For a high-end washer, it's terrible. Ilana of Newton, MA September 23, 2009 Bought a Bosch dishwasher a little over 5 years ago. While we purchased it on sale, it retailed for 1,200 +. We figured it was worth the extra money for a dishwasher that would last. About 4 months ago, the dishwasher stopped working. The wash motor needed to be replaced. Part runs between 150-200; labor is 100 to show up; then an enormous charge for every 10 minutes the service tech is there. Called Bosch customer service. They were extremely unhelpful/couldn't care less. Just kept repeating that "it wasn't under warranty anymore". Didn't care that a 5 year old dishwasher died. Then, about a month ago, buttons on the control panel died; not sure if they're affecting the functioning of the dishwasher or not. Now, last week, the pump went, and the dishwasher just fills with water. What a piece of garbage. I will NEVER buy a Bosch product again. Loretta of Snellville, GA September 14, 2009 We purchased a Bosch front load washer and dryer almost three years ago (2500). It was installed incorrectly and I had to argue several times with Lowe's and Bosch before it was corrected. A year later the gasket on the front of the washing machine tore and once again I met with resistance from both companies. After filing complaints with two agencies, Bosch repaired it. Everyone from Bosch was insulting, with one man yelling at me over the phone! Next we have had cracking over the screw covers and frames on both appliances, the washer door will not lock unless it is held shut, and now we have major leaking and gravel breaking from the washing machine. I would never buy or recommend a Bosch product. Christian of Memphis, TN August 31, 2009 i purchased a front load washing machine and want to know why there is not national recall on them. They continue to market them in every retailer in the country. They have horrible mold build up, they don't clean the cloths and the 100+ seals need to be replaced every year or two. How does this go unchecked? With no exaggeration, everyone I know has an issue and even the sale people acknowledge there are major issues. I am stuck with a 1,000 piece and paying another today for another seal. Nancy of Baraboo, WI August 26, 2009 I bought a new Bosch dishwasher on 8/15/09. Delivery and installation (just a mere 199 extra!) were set up for today (8/26/09). I was told the installer would call me yesterday (8/25) between 6-9 p.m.to set up an installation time. I got no call from the installer last night. I took the day off today to wait for the installation. It is now 5:02 p.m. and NO ONE has shown up. I've been waiting since 7 a.m. I called "800" number and was promised a call back within an hour. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. I call my local store where I purchased the applicance and talked with "Rick". He promised to check into things even though "appliances" isn't his area. He did look into things and he got back to me! Please reward Rick...he's a very good employee! Bottom line...no one is coming to install my new dishwasher today. Now I have to find another free day and wait again! I'm very angry. I just paid nearly 700 for a dishwasher and installation and thus far I've been stiffed. If I don't hear from the installer tomorrow I'm reporting [this] to the Better Business Bureau because [they] ripped me off on the huge installation charge (199). And...if no dishwasher is forthcoming I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Laura of Boise, ID August 22, 2009 My Bosch dishwasher SHU43C with serial no compliant with the recall list burned out the circuit board just like the recall incidents. Their online form said my dishwasher was covered, but they told me on the phone it was not. Still under warranty, I requested repair. The guy they referred me to stood around for an hour and played with the dishwasher, then said it was a circuit board problem, as we told him Bosch said to us before he came. Now he is charging us 25 dollars an hour to fix it. This thing is under warranty, only 3 years old, and was supposed to be Consumer Digest's best pick. It was expensive. Bosch told me, "WE aren't going to pay for YOU to fix YOUR dishwasher." They were so horribly rude, yet were eager to refer us to Capital Appliance Repair in Boise as being "So wonderful and nice." Sure, if you call charging 25 dollars every 15 minutes "Nice." Average wage in Boise, by the way, is 8 dollars an HOUR. I have never even had a dishwasher break down in all my life, and I am 53 years old. What a piece of JUNK and what RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I despise them now. Additionally, except for the slash/22 at the end of our model no our dishwasher was to be included in the recall for the very same problem. They told us that ours was made after they stopped producing machines with this flaw. Right. That's why we have the same flaw? john of Cambridge, ON August 17, 2009 Purchased entire new set of Bosch appliances plus washer and dryer. Dishwasher - Doesn't dry dishes. Santization Cycle doesn't work. Motherboard is dead. Service Tech can't fix it and they want to send a second person to see the exact same thing. Fridge - Icemaker takes 8 hours and made 2 ice cubes. Left if for 24 hours and it made - 7 ice cubes. When it dispenses them, it puts more icecubes on the floor than it puts in a glass. These are all Stainless steel appliances top of the line with full 5 year warranties. I get the run around from their Customer Service Group with multliple people who have to see issues before "management" decides what to do. If you buy Bosch, stick with Sears if you do. If you can avoid them, think about it. I would not buy the Dishwasher for sure ever again. I even offered more money to get a unit that drys dishes. Given the water that fell out, i had to pay my new home builder to fix three damaged tiles. erwin of tallman, NY August 4, 2009 purchased Bosch nexxt washer/dryer. the dryer motor went in about two years. no warranty, cheaper to buy new.. stay away from Bosch Sarah of Old Greenwich, CT July 29, 2009 We purchased Bosch frontloading oversized washer and dryer 3 years ago and within 6 months, the units both started cracking around the screws. Now a corner piece of the dryer door chipped off where it had cracked. When I contacted customer service, they asked that I send pictures and we were told that it was not the result of a product defect but due to "blunt force trauma". It is outrageous to define closing the doors as "blunt force trauma". Karen of Brea, CA July 20, 2009 Bosch does not care about customer service. I wrote them twice regarding my problem and was told too bad. Don’t buy Bosch, the expensive products break over and over and the customer service is the WORST. In December 2005, my moved into our brand-new Shea house and upgraded all our kitchen appliances to include a stainless BOSCH Microwave and BOSCH Dishwasher custom to the cabinets. Unexpectedly, we have had numerous problems with the Bosch products we purchased and of course all out of warranty. March 18, 2008, 194.13 - MICROWAVE Bosch Model HMB405/01 Serial 502TA00281 - FOURTEEN (14) Days without a micro wave. Door closing mechanism broke. January 15, 2008, 123.00 - DISHWASHER BoschSHX33A05UC/22, FD850901070 - TWELVE (12) Days without a dishwasher. NOW July 6, 2009 minimum 99.00 visit + 120. labor per hour not including what parts need changing - same MICROWAVE Bosch Model HMB 405/01 Serial 502TA00281 - scheduled for July 21, 2009, FIFTEEN (15days)without a microwave. It stopped working all together. My complaint is this; Prior to my top of the line Bosch stainless steel appliances, I owned the average Whirlpool white brands and NEVER have had a problem with my older homes microwave and dishwasher. The fact that I know Bosch's serial number and model numbers is surprising to me. I expect when I pay top dollar for top equipment it would work as the motto goes, invented for life Report Your Experience
