Constance of Killingworth, CT January 20, 2010 The washer for no apparent reasonwill not spin out. Doesn't seem to matter how big or small the load. Happens about twice a month and must rerun he entie cycle. Spoke with Bosch and tey refer you to their local service people but they say they have no idea why that happens and of course it will never do it when they are hee. Loss of hours of time having to rerun the entire thing lisa of jonesboro, AR January 16, 2010 we purchased the washer from lowes in june 2007. with a wife and 4 children we spent the extra money to be able to do more laundry and be green for the enviroment. the machine quit spinning. it would act like it was goning to wash but would not and it has smelled since we got it and clothes did not smell fresh. that how it all startrd then i called bosch and got the repair shop that they authorized to do the repair and they diagnosed the problem to be the lock sensor but to fix this you have to also change the control pannel but the promblem was the repair shop was that they could not get the serial number because the bosch company put the sticker with the numbers on it inside the door which have been washed off by the machine doing laundry. so all we have is a model number from the reciept and the multi-machine owners manual so when i called bosch you can understand how excited i was to find out that bosch was going to pay for the parts and agree to pay for the drum gasket. thats when the saga began. to get free parts the only place the repair shop can order them from was from where bosch said they could. then the repair shop took two weeks trying to ordering the parts after i had to on several occasions do a three way call with bosch and the repair shop because them and bosch do not talk i guess without me. then the perts finally come after three weeks but they were the wrong ones so i had to call again and they decided to send the repair shop back to my house and have tech support on the phone to get the numbers of the old parts so they did and reordered the parts over night. that took 5 days and we got a control pannel and a part for a stove and we tried to call the tech support person who is now not available. he is in calforina at class. i was also told their was three differnt control panels for this model number now i am not a repair person but i suggested why not send the other two panels and just return the one that is not the right one but bosch can't do that. but guess. what the panel they put on friday does not work so we have a locksensor and a boot but we are right back where we started five weeks ago. we called bosch and they going to overnight the part. the one i asked if they would send with the wrong one thsy sent this week. so now going on six weeks without this high dollar energy efficient machine! countless trips and over 150.00 at the laundry mat and at friends and relatives houses doing laundry and the stress on my family. you could only guess how much laundry a family of six accumlates in a week and this is going on week six Kenneth of Beecher, IL January 14, 2010 These so called efficient washing machines are all junk. I bought a Bosh had the service man out for the drier and washer. I read in the paper about the mold problem and ran a cycle with a bunch of the concentrated Lysol found this only at Wal-Mart stores. Secondly you "MUST" prop open the washer door after every wash to dry it out. Also open the access door where you put in soap & other liquids,on mine I can lift out the part, pour out residual water in it. There is a product on the market called "FRESH" and others like it to freshen up your washer, you can use these. Now to your driers especially the BOSH you can't use the drier sheets in them, they have whats called a set of moisture sensors bars in the drier and use of the drier sheets will coat and damage these pick ups, Had to have mine changed. NO MORE DRIER SHEETS PLEASE. Also from time to time take a cloth with some vinegar and wipe clean the bars in drier One thing these horizontals don't have is a quick/fast wash for a few items you need "NOW" it doesn't matter if you have two items or twenty items they wash and wash and wash. Also how long is that back bearing going to last that supports the whole tub the way at times it bounces and bangs around For what these washer and driers cost is insane to buy them. Go out and buy a cheap set of uprights if they last 2 or 3 years I believe your money ahead. At least they have been making these for awhile and have improved on the parts. Far as the name/reputation of Maytag they got bought out buy Whirlpool so all I can say is go figure! John of sacramento, CA January 8, 2010 I own a Bosch Nexxt 100 that is 2 years 4 months old.The machine stops nad does not continue with cycles. Bosch said to call a repair man and I was expected to bear all costs. no help was given. after paying for the repairman to come out he said that a microprocessor was bad. codes did not tell him anything so he just had to start trial and erro system. this is costly. Two years 4 months for a washing machine is short life. Paul of Glen Carbon, IL January 3, 2010 I purchased a Bosch 500 series washer and dryer. Washer loads both small and large fail to complete the spin cycle; it leaves you with soaking wet clothes at the conclusion of the cycle. No setting to allow just a spin cycle to take care of this, you have to complete a new full wash cycle. What genious though of not having a spin cycle? Also the dryer sensors that some portions of the clothes are dry and stop the cycle which leaves other parts of the clothes damp. Based on my experience I can only recommend to anyone who asks, not to buy any Bosch product! I will never purchase a Bosch product again. rebecca of Houston, TX January 2, 2010 I purchased a Bosch nexxt 500 gas dryer. The dryer is HIGH MAINTENANCE and a poor design. Never had a dryer that was so labor intensive! If there is a microscopic amount of lint on the filter, the alarm goes off. It is so annoying to have to tend to the dryer. It is like a crying baby that cannot be consoled. I have read the manual and tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. The problem persists. Do NOT BUY THIS DRYER! Robin of Laguna Beach, CA December 31, 2009 I purchased a Bosch 500 series washer and dryer as I believed that the front loaders would be energy efficient and the best on the market. I have had them just over a year now and am on my fourth service call. I have read many of the other complaints and it seems that we are all having similar issues. I do have a couple suggestions for others that I have uncovered. First for the dryer not completing a cycle and alarming regarding the lint filter. I found that the eco systems do not work well and confirmed by a service tech. The filter really has nothing to do with the problem. The sensors are the issue as they feel portions of the clothes that are dry and stop the cycle while other areas of the clothes may still be damp or wet. Use the timed drying cycle. Just set it for about an hour or the clothes will not come out dry. I have had other issue with the dryer but it seems to be working pretty well now. As for the washer, the major problem that I have had is that you simply cannot put very large loads in or you will have the spin cycle fail. This leaves you with soaking wet clothes at the conclusion of the cycle. You must remove some of the wet clothes and rerun the entire program again and hopefully, you took out enough and it will properly spin. This has worked for me but a real pain as you must run the entire wash cycle again. You cannot skip to a spin cycle to take care of this. I did find out about the Quick Wash feature which runs for only 35 minutes. In the end, I would never buy another Bosch product. I am very disappointed with these products. But as others, I feel stuck since I paid so much for them. BASHAR of ATHENS, Greece December 18, 2009 On July 2009, I have purchased a new Bosch referigerator. I have requested the service twice to check about the issue of having a lot water going out and having the cooling not proper (last of which was on Oct. 08-2009). Each time I they send the technician and he reports that it is normal and no defect is found. When I bought it no one told me such a thing may happen, and now they refuse to give any assistance despite of having effective warranty of one year. Marlene of Commerce, MI December 17, 2009 My 10 y/o bosch oven has had problems ever since I got it. I have reeplaced the switch selector twice and I need to change it again. But because it is 10 y/o Bosch says they are not responsible for parts for models that are over 7 years old. So, I can't get the part I need. So, I'm left with a broken oven and am forced to have to buy another one. This is ridiculous. Michelle of Saugus, MA December 1, 2009 The gasket and spring has come off my Bosch washer and now it is leaking. When I purchased my washer from Loews in May 08 I did not purchase an extended warranty because I was told that Bosch is a high end appliance and I should not have problems with it. Now I have to call in a repair person to fix it. Report Your Experience
