Chrysler Financial

Patricia of Parkland, FL February 5, 2009

Patricia of Parkland FL (02/05/09)
Starting in Jan. I call chrysler to ask them why my payment was not processed as I noticed it wasn't cleared from my checking acct. They said they never received my payment and many others and to call back. After many phone calls they told me roughly 35,000 checks were lost in the mail and mine was one of them because their return address on their envelopes was wrong. I stopped payment on check and paid online. While these documented phone calls were being made we were called morning and night from their collections demanding a payment by phone even after we explained what was going on. Finally stopped.

Feb. 5th at 8:30 am recieved a phone call from collections saying they hadn't recieved payment for feb.which is due on the 3rd. I told them it was on it's way and my payments are never ever late. He then spoke to me extremely rude and aggressive and demeaning. I asked his name and he said Mr. Smith which I then asked for a first name wand his reply was We are told not to give our fist names which is untruthful. I told him I did not want to speak to him and to get a manager and he still continued telling me to pay my bills and its my problem. I repeated myself at least 3 times and the floor manager got on the phone and was just as rude and spoke over me and told me to listen to her and make a payment now on the phone. I then said enough and hung up.

I have excellent credit history and not 1 single late payment. They would not hear that or care that Iwas trying to get my son to school. They also did not listen I have not one late payment considering I have not had my car in almost three weeks because Chrysler cannot locate the powersteering shaft that broke on it and it is sitting at the dealership waiting for repair. No one should be spoken to or treated in such a manner.

I have leased two vehicles with Chrysler and it has been a two yr nightmare. There seems to be no way out of this, no one will listen and no one can take action on my part, maybe the media will be a way. They are trying to extort money from me, they harass me on the phone for late payments(10 days late) with an animated system numerous times during the day that you do not want to pick up the phone when they do call. Recently on my daughters account that I co signed for, after paying over seven hundred to catch up the next bill came and they are saying we are another month behind. I went to the on line site and printed out the monthly payments and i am up to date, owing only Feb 's payment due on the 22nd.

I tried repeatedly to call and resolve this issue. I have been hung on, several times, a supervisor was not even willing to review that dates with me, just shouting at me i was a month behind. My own lease, i spoke to a rep and caught my own lease up scheduling two payments that month. I was told my next payment needed to be received by the 10th and when i received a current bill they are trying to extort me for another 300+ in late fees asking for another 800+ this month.

I have had it and i will never deal with this company again. What recourse do i have, other than obtain an attorney , maybe the news station can help me. I am a nurse who works crazy hours with a little time to spend on the phone with this company, getting hung up all of the time. Please advise me of my recourse. Thank you

Chrysler Finacial does not care about the situation we are in. I paid the amount that was owed on Jeep Compass that I purchased in 2007 brand new no problem but then I fell behind in payments so on Jan. 12th 2009 I paid the amount of 1729.08. they took the car away and then when I was calling to tell them that the payment was made on the 12 of Jan. they told me to go and make another payment of 1350.00 to be wired to them from Western Union. so I went to my bank and explained to them that Chrysler Financial wanted a wire transfer of the money but it was to late they already had it which was the next day.

so I was back and forth with them I had to wait ten days so that my car could be released but in the mean time was like okay so on the 28th of Jan. I could get the car back. no that was not the case. I was at work talking on phone with them because they would not release the car to me because I still owe 380 on the car. I gave 1729.08 on the 12th of Jan. and [they] received it on the 15th and told me that I would get the car on the 28th. they kept going around in circles everybody that I talked to had a different story. I never spoke to Phillip again because he was the one who told me that the car would be released on the 28th. I have to wait until Friday the 30th to get the car back. they are not professonal they do not know what they are doing.

I am without a car for 10 days my daughter got sick couldn't take her to the doctor she has asyma. this is not fair I work very hard and do not deservse this. I paid and they still took the car away from.

My husband and I leased a truck through Chrysler. We bought out the lease in August 2008. The check from my credit union plus a personal check from my account have been cashed for the amount that was the payoff. I started receiving statements in Sept. 2008 that I still owed 209.00. Every time I called I talked to different reps that had no idea what I was talking about. Frankly, I could barely understand their English.

Every time I tried to speak to a supervisor, I was assured my complaint would be resolved. In Dec. 2008 I received yet another statement telling me that I now owed a little over 1,000 on an account that has been paid off. When I called, I was told it was INTEREST!!!!!!!!!! 800 of interest is quite a rate! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, who was told by Chrysler Financial that they could not reveal any information to them about my account.

I am in the process of working with my state's attorney general's office. This is such a frustrating thing! My Jeep lease is up in Feb. 2009. Do they really think I'll buy it out after the crap I've been put through? Not to mention, I will never buy a Chrysler product again!

Continuous calls three & four times a day to my cell phone. After many requests sent this email: Your company, Chrysler Financial is calling my cell phone three and four times a day and leaving messages. I have requested your people to remove this number from their records. Each time I call they tell me that I am not authorized for the account. I HAVE NEVER NOR WILL I EVER OWE Chysler any money. I have had this cell phone number for many years. Each time you call it costs money out of my carefully followed budget, not to mention the upset and disturbance. I

am an old woman with high blood pressure and I do not keep regular sleeping hours. Your people have just waked me up (8:30pm) from a much sought sound sleep. PLEASE, PLEASE REMOVE THIS NUMBER FROM YOUR RECORDS. I think you should also know that we have contacted the Attorney General of Texas. A few years ago, I successfully sued a collection company for much less harrassment then you people have inflicted on me and those calls also were regarding an account belonging to another person.
