Chrysler Financial

Darla of Batavia, IL July 2, 2009

As my son became out of work, just like so many american men now days, he fell behind in his car payments with Chrysler. On 6/29/2009 @ 12:03 pm, I spoke with Mr. J and informed him that I had request a loan from my retirment plan to pay the debt off. I was quoted a pay out price and had up to 10 days to make that payment before the next payout price would change.

On 7/2/2009, way within the 10 day time period, I made the effort to get the car payment paid off and of course, as you can guess, they charged me way more then what I was quoted. I spoke with Ms C who was civil, but was in no way willing to honor Mr. J quote. Funny, how they don't give out 1st names, but need all the info from us. I believe the saying, what goes around, comes around! Chrysler people, I hope you get yours! I read many complaints on Chrysler, needless to say, you lost a customer with me and if by word of mouth helps, then so be it! It's really too bad Chrysler employees are not out to help the customers during this trying economical time.

Shannon of Puyallup, WA June 28, 2009

These people are very rude to begin with. They have lost my payment twice in the past year, which I had to stop a check and pay over the phone and then you get additional charges when you pay it by phone. We spoke with a woman from Chrysler Financial and made arrangements to pay our car payment. She said it was fine because it was within the "ten day grace period". Even though we set this arrangement up we are still getting calls from them. We got three within twelve hours and they are hang up calls. It is just harassment now. They are threatening us and trying to intimidate us. We've never been late or over the ten days, exept when they lost my payments twice.

Federico of Laguna Niguel, CA June 27, 2009

The most obnoxious, rude, ruthless people in the business. Calls start at home/cell/office, from 6 Am to 10pm after a few hours your payment is due. If you are thinking of purchasing a Dodge/Chrysler product, do NOT DO IT if you are planning on financing it through them.

Sabrina of Lyndhurst, NJ June 9, 2009

Chrysler keeps calling me...several times already because someone hasn't been making their car payments. I have already informed them that they have the wrong number, but they continue to call me. How do I get this to stop? In addition to this, they even asked me if I knew the individuals, Mike and Shirley. I can't believe they would give out personal information about a consumer. They even gave me their last names but I can't remember what it was. They are stressing me out.

I purchased a PT cruiser in Homestead Fl. after alittle over a year Chrysler repossed my car.I had been calling and always checking on my payts due to the fact they did not post quickly. They always said I was current (which matched my records too). Then one night they stole my car.

I called to police and was told my car had been repossed.I was stunned.I had 2 kids,no way to work. And had done nothing wrong.I called Chrylers attorney and was told I did Not owe them but because of a gliche, they took my car?? The attorney I had took no blame and has basically refused to help me due to the fact he failed me on his end too. So I ask you, when one attorney blames another, what can someone due??My credit is ruined!

Lionel of Avon, CO June 18, 2009

On may 24th, I had my 2006 Chrysler 300 repossessed by Chrysler due to being late on car payments. In early march I suffered kidney failure and am now on dialysis 3 times a week. Since november of 2008 I have been told my kidneys were bad. In late january I was told by my doctor I can no longer work the job I had due to my condition. In early febuary I stated getting calls, sometimes 10-15 times a day by people at chrysler asking why I hadnt made my payment, I told them I was no longer working due to my condition and was told" That aint our problem and why did you get a car you cannot afford to make the payment".

When my car was repossessed by a company in colorado springs, I was told by the guy he would take off the custom rims and audio/video equipment that I had put in the car when I had it, I still have the OEM equipment. I then called Chrysler the following monday and talked to a lady, I told her I needed the address where the car was at so I can get my stuff and replace the OEM stuff and was told they now own everything and tough luck. I also told her I had copies of a police report for my stolen ID, on those papers are copies of my stolen Social security card, drivers license, my address etc, she then told me thats my problem and she hung up on me.

2 days later I went to the DMV and reported my licence plates stolen because the refused to give them back to me, the plates mean alot to me because they are personalized with my sons name, I also have copies of my insurance card and registration left in the car that I want back, but I keep getting told that they now own it. What can I do, I am looking for a lawyer to help me but I cannot find one who deals with this type of case.

Carla of Glendale Heights, IL June 15, 2009

I have received calls at my home for the past week, and every time I answered the phone, they hung up on me, without identifying themselves. This happened at least 5 times until today, Sunday morning, a representative who identified herself as Mrs. Ellingston finally came on the line.

With identity theft running rampant, only a complete idiot would just give out personal information to a total stranger calling from an unknown phone number. When I told her I would need substantiation of her identity before telling her anything, she got nasty, taunting me with a variety of accusations, including attempting to intimidate me into compliance with the accusation that I was just trying to divert attention away from the fact that I was delinquent in my account.

Oh really? My payment was due on May 24th, and the call was made June 14th--not even 30 days past due, and the calls started over a week ago! Aside from which, what does any of it have to do with my concerns regarding identity theft? Anyone can make up with a name and claim they work for Chrysler Financial, but that in itself does not constitute any type of PROOF that they are telling the TRUTH! She refused to provide me with any substantiation that she actually DID work for Chrysler Financial, so I'm still not even sure she really does!

When I pointed this out, she got even more sarcastic, and started accusing me of acting "unprofessional." Excuse me, but I'm the customer, not her subordinate! In the privacy of my own home, I am under no obligation to conduct myself with any degree of "professionalism" to a complete stranger, making an uninvited phone call to my home on a Sunday afternoon! If she expects that I owe her "professionalism", well that's a service that I require compensation for providing. I have no idea what it is that makes her imagine that I should give it away to her for free.

I didn't want to listen to anymore of her irrational nonsense, so I asked to speak to her supervisor--and she refused. I asked again, repeatedly, at least 20-30 times, and she kept refusing. Instead, she continued making snide remarks, and when I told her I didn't want to listen to her insults, she insisted that she had never insulted me. I told her that she does not get to decide how I should feel, and again, told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor. At that point, she informed me that SHE would get to decide who I got to talk to, and whether or not she was even going to allow the conversation to continue. Hey! I'm not the one who ever wanted to have a conversation with Chrysler Financial in the first place: she called ME! Also during this entire conversation, I never even confirmed my NAME, so this woman went on her entire beligerant tirade without even confirming who she was talking to!

So I hung up and called back to try to talk to someone else, I could speak to a supervisor and report her, and the next individual informed me I couldn't speak to anyone unless I gave them my social security number!

I then went on line and paid off entire balance so I wouldn't ever have to deal with another obnoxious, ignorant jerk from this company--ever again! It's not like I'm strapped for cash, I've just been overloaded with work and gee, slipped my mind! One would think this company might take into consideration the fact that I've been a customer, making regular payments on this loan for almost 5 years now, and only had, oh, about 4 payments left before paying it off completely, which it now is. Also during this entire conversation, I never even confirmed my NAME, so this woman went on her entire beligerant tirade without even receiving confirmation of the identity of the person she was talking to!

If her behavior is in accordance with company policy, then in my opinion that policy is promoting and enabling identity theft. If Chrysler Financial company hasn't already been subjected to any class action lawsuits from those who have been so victimized, after being being bullied and intimidated into providing their personal information to their collection agents, who refuse to provide substantiation of their own identity, then in my opinion, it's long past due.

Linda of Ossining, NY May 25, 2009

A next door neighbor has a loan with Chysler Financial. He's late with payments. 2 months ago Chrysler began phoning ME, asking to speak with my neighbor BY NAME. Two, sometimes three calls a day. Told them he doesn't live here. Then they began sending things addressed with neighbor's name with MY address. Wrote to Chrysler Financial. Explained to them I have NOTHING to do with neighbor. Leave me alone!

My phone number is listed in a deceased relative's name though bills are addressed to and paid by me. So when someone calls and asks for "Mr. Godzilla" (not real name) I know it's an unsolicited call. Today I got a phone call from Chrysler Financial asking for "Mr. Godzilla". Caller ID showed "800-788-5499" ... same number that's called me dozens of times. Cursed this guy out. He didn't give up. Called me TWO MORE TIMES.

Have never had ANY business with Chrysler Financial, I owe no one money, and am being grossly harassed by this ruthless company. Chrysler Financial should be wiped off the face of the earth, along with all their employees.

Sheri of Madison , WI May 20, 2009

I was a co-signer on a loan for my daughter for a 2003 Impala which ultimately went to replevin court as she was laid-off from her job and I could not afford to make the payments for her. I now have a judgment against me for repayment of the loan, court costs, interest, etc. Since Chrysler is going through bankruptcy, I am wondering why I should have to repay this. Seems like a spit in the bucket compared to all the government money Chrysler has already stated it won't be repaying. If I had had the money to repay this before, I would have. However, finances are even tighter now and they are looking at garnishing my wages...Please help me with any actions I can do.

Jeffrey of Tipton, MI May 7, 2009

My wife and I have purchased 5 vehicles over the last several years from Jeep Dodge Dealer in Clinton Michigan. The last vehicle that I leased from them was a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 truck that I had for 38 months. When I was getting close to the miles that the contract said I had I tried to trade it in, they would not let me without a big balance added to another vehicle, so they told me to wait until I get closer to the end of the lease.

When my lease ran out I was over my miles by several, they took the vehicle back but charged me 5,000 for the extra miles. The dealer told us that Chrysler would work with us and everything will be fine on getting this taken care of, so I out right bought a brand new truck. Chrysler Financial called us and demanded the whole amount right now or it was going to collections.

I called and tried to make plans on payment, they would not budge. My wife and i have started to make payments to pay it down but yesterday I had a rude phone call from Chrysler saying that if I could not pay the amount today that it was going to collections. How can a business in such dire need to sell cars treat their customers like that. My wife and I will never buy another Dodge or Chrysler product again, I am looking at a forien market now, maybe they will treat me better. My credit is bad now, I am emotionally very upset and this is causing family issues. Chrysler lost my business
