I purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima brand new in early 2005. I have had the vehicle for just over a year and have had all of the following isses:

1. First week of ownership - panel on driver's side door kept flipping up - took three times seperate attempts to have it repaired.
2. After two months of ownership transmission began to jump and check engine light came on. Cause unnknown.
3. Glass from sunroof exploded while driving on highway. Cause: manufacturer installation defect.
4. Water on floor in back seat (soaking wet). First attempt to repair: cause unknown. Replaced carpets.
5. Water on floor in back seat. Second attept to fix: found crack in floor and sealed crack. Replaced carpets again.
6. When carpets were replaced the drivers seat was not bolted down properly and was rocking back and forth. Dealership fixed this after I brought it back again.
7. Unable to open sunroof. Brought to dealership and then determined that they installed it incorrectly after the glass exploded. Currently waiting for new sunroof to come in.
8. Water on floor in back seat for 3rd time. Dealership currently investigating.

My vehicle has been in and out of the dealership atleast 8 times in the last two weeks. Nissan refuses to provide a rental vehicle to me.

Intermittent starting problems with the the '04 Altima.  I've owned for 2 years, and in that time it has failed to start probably 7 times. Fortunately, this has never happened when I was stranded with my small children, or alone late at night in some deserted parking lot. Brought it in to 2 different dealers, neither could recreate the problem, because it only happens sporadically. Eventually, the car starts. But no saying how long that will take. It is very hot where I live, so not related to cold weather starting. Still have no explanation and feeling like everything else about this car is great, but due to this one factor, I would not buy again.

I have been having major problems with my car and no one seems to be helping or calling back. I feel like I am being given the run around. My car just dies on me while I am driving without no warning. It has happened as of now about six times. It is a 2003 Nissan Altima. Took it to dealer service and they have no idea what is wrong with the car. Please help me. I almost got hit once due to this problem.
