Oressa of Indpls, IN August 25, 2009 Let's begin by saying that 2 of Firestone Complete Auto Ctr. had decided to NOT service my 2007 Pontiac G6 and proceed to take my money. I have leased this vechilce since February 2007. The site of service to no prevail was Firestone Complete. I have documentation to show I have had several services performed there in which the COMPLETE JOB was not performed. I have now decided to no longer us this company as of August 2009 for Oil & Tire roatation maintence. I have now been notified that although I have been Charged & PAID for OIL FILTERS that I have NEVER recieved. Upon trying to have this service performed at a private mechanic shop, I was then imformed that the oil filter seal has never been broken. The original filter some 10-12 oil changes later, I still have the original factory filter in the car. I want all my money back. This is a breach of agreement and the owe me for each time I had services done there. Keep in mind the performed fuel system cleaning for like 400.00 and I am just HOT & bothered by this new found issue!!! Filter CAP is stuck.. David of Beaverton, OR July 19, 2009 Dear Customer Service Person, I am writing to complain about a recent visit to one of your tire service centers. It is located on TV highway in Beaverton Or. I recently had the breaks front an back replaced an new rotors installed. I do not pave a complaint with that repair. About a week after the Break repair I noticed a clicking noise coming from the left front of the car after coming to a stop. I thought it may have been related to the break work, and perhaps a caliper was sticking. So I got under the car to take a look. What I found was something I did not expect to see. There was a new retaining clamp on the drive axel CV boot. There was no reason for that to have been touched. I gave them specific instructions as to what repairs were to be done. This it turns out is the source of the clicking sound. Now I am looking at having to replace the drive axle. I have purchased tires and have had some break work done at this location in the passed, and have been very satisfied. This event has caused me to no longer want to bring my vehicle to your store for service. This is no way for employees’ that represent you company to build trust and loyalty in your customers. I will warn others of my experience. Rosalie of Kihei, HI June 14, 2009 They have closed and no longer in business. I have lifetime warranty on servicing my Bridgestone tires. They have left a telephone number which no one responds to. I have left messages with eveyone with no response. My daughter also bought tires with the same lifetime warranty. Christopher of Charlotte, NC June 10, 2009 I brought my truck in for leaking coolant. Firestone charged me around 550 to replace the water pump which also included a charge of 79 dollars to flush the system. They informed me that the coolant I used was GM and this needed to be flushed out. When I got the vehicle back I noticed the over fill tank had orange coolant in it so I talked to the mechanic who worked on it and was told not to worry about it and that they do not flush the over fill tank. Funny since I emptied 4 times by removing 2 screw (5 minutes at best) The overfill tank still contained orange coolant. So I took it back in as the service desk rep recommended. I was told that due to the age of my truck that it was rust and would take 5 or more flushse and even then may not get everything out. I bought 2 gallons of prestone green fluid and a flush kit and did it myself. I flushed it for 15 minutes and a lot of orange cooland came out. Once flushed I drove the truck for a week and there is no sign of either rust or orange coolant. So the bottom line is I'm out 80 bucks for the flush and 30 for the new coolant and flush kit. At another time I got my vehicle inspected and was told that the alternator has bad cracks in it and needs replacement. Funny thing is that about 1 month ago I replaced all of the belts with Gates belts from NAPA. Since then I have had two auto mechanics (not Firestone) look at the belt both said no problems were found with any of the belts. I can only wonder how much they sucker those who no nothing about autos. I will no longer deal with any Firestone location and tell those I meet to follow the same. Hal of Georgetown, OH June 2, 2009 I own a 2002 Z06 Corvette. I took it to Firestone in Beachmont Ohio to get 4 new tires installed. I had my buddy follow me up so we went to Wall mart while the tires were being done. Wall mart is about 8 miles up the street from Firestone. On the way back, we saw an employee "test driving" my car. I arrived back at Firestone, and it was at least 10-15 minutes before he arived back with my car. I think this was more of a joy ride than a test drive, and I don't believe it needed to be test driven anyway. Robert of Tulsa, OK May 30, 2009 Had a nail in a tire on a new car with 4000 miles on it. Took it to Firestone Service Center. Left the car for an hour. They told me they could not fix it because the nail was "too close to the sidewall" (about 2" from it...well onto the tread), and offered to replace the tire with a non-matching tire for 208 + balancing. I took the car to an independent tire dealer. He said it was ridiculous Firestone would not fix it. He fixed it for free. Ray of Concord, NC May 29, 2009 In addition to horrible customer service; being yelled at by a child. I would like to submit a complaint about a company in Charlotte, NC. The company stores hundreds of confidential client records in the unlocked public bathroom on the premises. Such information included; name, address, telephone number, vehicle VIN number, license plates number, etc. The store was visited on May 28, 2009 at or near 11:30am Eastern Time. I was shocked to see that such information was readily available for anyone to peruse and use at will for identity theft. jennifer of plantation, FL May 28, 2009 My husband and I were driving home yesterday with my three year old son in the car when our car overheated. We were barely able to make it to the shop although luckily we did. After diagnosing the vehicle, they gave us aprice of 911. The part alone was going to cost us 390, and that is used. Another 300 in labor and another 160 to program the part. Well, they assumed because I was unable to drive the car out of there, that I would agree to that insanity. I bought the part for 165, and the shop dpwn the street is programming and fixing the car for 400. That's 565 total. Adifference of 346. Shame on them, especially in these times to take advantage of people because they think they have no other recourse. Afterall, it's supposed to b a trusted name, right? I guess you can trust that you will get ripped off! Paula of Independence, MO May 19, 2009 I went to Firestone to get an oil change. As usual, I was called back to the service bay to see something that needed to be fixed. I was told the intake (gasket?) was starting to leak. It needed to fixed soon so that Dexcool would not leak into the oil and ruin the engine. They printed out an itemized list of service required, along with the cost of each repair. Their estimate came to nearly 1,300. My brothers together have about 40 years experience working in auto parts, and recommended an honest mechanic. He said he would do the job for less than half the estimate from Firestone. However, when I took it to him, he called me within an hour and told me he found no evidence the intake had ever leaked, and he couldn't get it leak under pressure. There was NOTHING wrong with my car. I asked him to do a system flush to clean out the Dexcool and replace it with green antifreeze ... and went home with 1,200 I would not have had if I'd had Firestone do the unneeded repair. Robert of Phoenix , AZ May 15, 2009 I was driving my Motor Home from Flint MI to Phoeniz AZ. Was losing power and could not keep up speed on the turnpike.Went to Firestone. James told me a couple of hours this was on 1020AM 5/13/09 for an Engine Performance check due out at 5:30 PM 5/13/O9 it is now 5/15/09 at 5pm I now have 295.50 on hotel bills 200.00 on taxi cabs. My family is up set. I am late getting home. And I am going to have to go to another mechanic to get the job done. And it is Friday night.Looks like Monday.300.00 more in expensives. Not counting the charge for not fixing it from Firestone. |
