    My vacation was cancelled due to the COVID outbreak back in March of 2020. With my trip I purchased insurance for any chance of cancellation. I paid $1992.97 for trip and was refunded $0.00. Bookit.com, from my experience, shows zero care for its customers. They care about getting their money and that is it.

    My husband and I purchased an all-inclusive resort trip to Riviera Maya on January 2020 for 7 nights in April. Due to COVID-19 BookIt unexpected cancelled our trip. This was understandable at the time considering travel restrictions. What is not understandable is the fact that I have contacted 4 different companies about my refund for this trip and I have not received my refund. I initially contacted my AIG Travel Insurance. They referred me back to bookit because the cancellation was made by bookit.

    I spent several months emailing between bookit and AIG travel in attempt to understand who was truly responsible for my refund and why I had not yet received it. AIG travel claimed that it was not their responsibility due to Bookit having made the cancellation. Bookit said, "Sorry can't help you, maybe try your credit card company or your travel insurance." Please keep in mind that when I purchased my travel insurance through bookit I specifically called them and asked them if we would be covered under any pandemic related issues that may come up. They assured me that this was the way to go.

    Fast-forward to August 2020, I contacted my credit card company to file a dispute. They initially reimbursed me before fully reviewing my case. About a month later they took back the money stating that they reviewed my case and it was not their responsibility to cover this issue that I have been having with bookit. I tried once again to contact AIG travel. They gave me the same response that bookit is the one responsible for this reimbursement. I have also attempted to contact the resort several times. I have not heard an answer from them. This has been extremely frustrating and I will never use BOOKIT or AIG travel again. I am out $1772 due to BOOKIT's and AIG's mismanagement.

    Paid in full for round-trip airfare and hotel package through BookIt.com. Due to Covid we had to cancel our trip. They told us we had one year to utilize the credit. When we went to book the trip we found out the company went out of business and it was too late to retract the funds which were already paid from our credit card/bank.

    We booked a family vacation for Nov 2020 in February, they took two payments of 1063 from our account on 2/4 and 3/4. They called us in March canceled Our trip and didn’t give us a refund. Told you contact our bank or credit card. Not fair, we are hard working people with 4 children looking to give our children a nice experience and now we are out over $2000.

    Of course Booking couldn't have been easier. Very attentive and helpful. Agency canceled trip, closed call centers and did not inform me. I only found out that my accommodations were canceled when I attempted to postpone my trip due to Covid-19. My flight was not canceled so I was left to deal with that. Still no refund so my next step is contacting Consumer affairs and the BBB.

    Booked in December for an all inclusive at the Moon Palace for April 2020 for 6 days. Purchase travel insurance recommended by BookIt and that was AIG. Covid hit and our flights were canceled and the Moon Palace closed. I thought, no problem, I have travel insurance! Had to argue with AIG for many, many months and finally got one half of my money and now they tell me I have to get the rest from Bookit, you know the one that folded and is now open again, yes that one! They of course have not responded and I am still waiting for my refund. Who in their right mind would book a vacation thru Bookit, & pay for travel insurance after all if this! Bookit, it is time to settle with people like me so your reputation can be resurrected.     In January my husband and I planned our 1 year anniversary/honeymoon to Punta Cana. In March Bookit.com gave us no notice and cancelled our trip due to COVID. I understand this has been a challenging time for everyone but we have a $5,000 loan to pay back for this trip and the company is refusing to respond. I finally heard back from our travel insurance company (AIG) after 5 months and they agreed to return $1,151.

    We paid $5,700 in the form of a loan and are still responsible for paying that back. I’ve spoken to the bank, to the state senator, to the attorney general, I’ve emailed bookit multiple times with no response. I’ve called them, I’ve called the resort, I’ve called the bank... I’ve called everyone. NO ONE WILL RETURN OUR MONEY. This is ridiculous!! We are not wealthy by any means, we spent $2,000 on our wedding and eloped on the beach so that we could have a nice honeymoon. If this money is not returned we will be paying for the next 2 years for a trip we never received that they won’t let us reschedule. How are they getting are they getting away with this theft?

    Don’t know how many times this happens but somehow third party cancelled my reservation. So I purchased flight and room for long Vegas weekend and had no problems with flight until I tried to check in hotel. I was told by BookIt to purchase room for weekend and that I would be refunded. Never received email or difference in price. I will never use book it again....

    I made a reservation for a vacation with my family to Cancun. I paid downpayment and made the first payment for the total amount of almost $1000. Before doing the 2and payment (thanks god) they sent me an email telling me that due the Covid 19 my package was cancel. They didn't refund any money. As soon as I read the email I went to the webpage and they were fine. I try the phone and nothing. They disappeared overnight. I have tried to do whatever I can to recover my money and nothing. It appear that there is no law in this country for these kind of thieves, because that's what they are, a bunch of scum bags delinquents. As me, there are a bunch of people in the same situation. If anybody hears anything about please make a contact.

    Well I booked a trip for my daughter’s birthday back in January for May to Miami Florida. BookIt canceled my trip in March due to COVID-19. After waiting for a month for my refund it never happened so I contacted my bank in which they gave me a provisional credit. Last week July 5th my bank emails me and tells me that they found that I authorized the transaction. I know that I did but this business bookit.com shut down and did not refund me my money now myself and several other people are out of money. Not to mention I paid on my debit card and these people want money back from me that I cannot give them because this slime ball Bud Finlaw deleted all his account and is the owner of the company that stole from us. How will we get our money back. Are we just at a lost. I’m so frustrated...

    So I booked a trip to Mexico back in October 2019. I used Bookit.com. My trip was canceled by bookit in March due to Covid 19. I even call bookit.com and just get an electronic recording. So I went through my credit card company to get a refund which is what I was instructed to do. From the email I received from bookit.com. Well my cc company tells me that we are not entitled to get our money back. Bookit just stole my money and Bank of America did nothing. Now I'm out $4100.00.

BookIt has taken thousands of dollars from so many people. Someone needs to help us get our money back!

    I booked a trip to Negril on the Bookit.com website. I made three payments utilizing Pay Delay. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic Bookit cancelled the trip. I have been trying to get a refund since March and it's June 11. I have tried to contact Bookit via telephone and the site. When I called the telephone number it sounded like a robocall that stated they are not at normal operations and then the phone was disconnected. The Bookit.com website has the cancellation letter that they e-mailed me. I filed a claim through my bank which was denied. The bank told me that I would have to dispute the charges with Bookit.com. I am so frustrated all I want is my money back because the trip was cancelled due to the pandemic.

    Hi. My name is Ms. Demetrica **. I'm currently staying at the Motel 6 Downtown Memphis TN South Pauline st location. The rooms are nice and clean. I've been staying here for 8 weeks straight now at the rate of $408 a week which is way too high for Motel 6 but hey I don't control the rates. Anyways my complaint is I was told through Bookit that my 10th night would be free and every 10th night stay would be free. Well I've been here 60 days straight again at the rate of $408 a week and I've yet to receive any free nights.

    I've consistently emailed the site bookit to no avail. I've also called several times to speak with a rep. No response. Just the automated recording. Checking with the front desk I was told only bookit gives the free nights by the hotel manager so I'm now leaving my complaint. Again it's been 60+ days straight and no one has responded concerning my complimentary 10th night free. I'm due about 6 free nights at this point. Well if anyone cares to respond I'm here if not it's still a nice hotel just not $408 a week nice. Lol???? Blessing to all during this recession. Thank you for your time.

    SCAM company!! Cancelled my flights and resort reservations without my consent and then kept 100% of my money without refunding a single cent. Initially, their phones, email, and website were disconnected/shut down and they blamed COVID-19 for their theft. Their cancellation email said to talk to my credit card company about my "options", but they denied my attempts for reimbursement since I didn't dispute the initial charges so I'm out $2100 because Bookit STOLE it! As of 6-3-20, they have the balls to start accepting new reservations and payments again as their booking website and call centers are functioning again. When I called the new call center today, they said they could find no history of my reservation and therefore could not process my refund. I would give Bookit.com -1 stars if I could. Scum of the earth.

    Prior to the COVID pandemic, I purchased a vacation package through Bookit.com. One week before our vacation date, bookit.com posted an advisory on their website that all vacations were being canceled and no refunds would be issued. I was instructed to contact my bank to regain funds taken by the company in “pay delay” payments, totaling over $3,000. My bank could not reimburse this amount and opened an investigation on the company. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney Generals office in Florida where the company headquarters is located. No one has resolved this issue. Bookit.com representatives cannot be reached and continues to evade the responsibility of repaying my money.

    I researched whether my resort or airline reservations were paid for. Having confirmation numbers for both, I looked into what bookit.com was doing with my money one week before my travel date. My flight was not paid for nor was the resort reservation. Dispute the travel ban due to the pandemic, since no service was provided, bookit.com should give people their money back. Not only is this bad business, it’s theft! I am so disappointed at agencies, designed to protect consumers from things like this, turning a blind eye and slowing a company to get away with this. You owe me money bookit.com! I trusted you with my hard earned money and you took it and ran with it during this difficult time in our nation. If anyone can help, many customers of bookit.com have similar issues with them. This company should be held accountable for this!

    Booked a 20 year anniversary trip to Mexico for 6/23 to 6/28. Due to the pandemic our trip was canceled and the company went out of business with NO WARNING and NO REFUND!     Booked a vacation and while making payments for my vacation sent me an email stating that due to covid 19 they had to cancel my vacation and that there wouldn’t charge my credit card any more. Three days later charged my credit card AGAIN. Sure hope that Bookit refunds my money being that they charged me $1,800 for a vacation I didn’t get.     These people just shut down! Canceled my trip for June. My airfare was refunded back to them! They didn’t pay my hotel bill! Got me for $8500!! Tell me to call my credit card company for a refund then you dispute my claim saying you refunded me. What kind of company is this. I will tell you they are scammers. Leave people stranded.     I received an email that my trip had been cancelled and that I should contact my credit card company to see about getting a refund. They said the airline reservation would be cancelled by the airline. When I called the airline they told me that only the travel agency could cancel the reservation. The resort isn't taking calls. The Bookit.com website has some message that they are closed down and their phone numbers disconnected.
