I paid for a vacation package and my trip was cancelled due to the COVID-19. The company left me without any sort of assistance and I am now hoping my bank can help me get the money back since BookIt did not even pay the resort.
As with everyone else.. My vacation was cancelled too without refund. I also bought the AIG Travel Guard and their phone number is no longer in service either. I want my money back!! No answer at Frontier Airlines either. Or the hotel!!
We had 3 reservations made/3 bookings to accommodate my fiancée and our 6 adult children in all inclusive rooms for our upcoming wedding in Punta Cana. Booked almost a year ago for Easter weekend hence paying $$$$ like everyone else stated here, they cancelled our trip, no refunds, and just disappeared with our money (almost $8,000!!!). In November 2019, I purchased two seven-day all inclusive trips to Cancun, Mexico and Tulum, Mexico. The trips were purchased via Bookit.com and were prepaid trips, and included airfare and hotel accommodations for a family of four; in total, the trips combined totaled almost $14,000. The Cancun trip was scheduled to for Spring Break (March 24-31, 2020). On March 18, 2020 we learned that Bookit.com laid off employees and travelers were being charged for their hotel rooms upon departure in Mexico. When we contacted Dreams Resort (which is where we were to be staying) we learned that Bookit.com had not yet paid for our accommodations. Countless attempts to reach Bookit.com were unsuccessful and they refused to answer their phones. On March 20, 2020, Bookit.com posted the shameful message on their website.
Bookit.com purposefully took the prepaid funds from customers for MONTHS and did not pay for the flight and accommodations as promised. The actions of Bookit.com was not COVID-19 related. I hope an investigation is conducted and that Bookit.com is held accountable for the millions of dollars that were swindled from customers.
I have tried numerous times contacting both the company and hotel we were to stay at with no response. That would be the Holiday Inn, Hickory, NC. I highly suggest not giving these people or Book It your credit card because if you have to cancel due to the coronavirus they will not give you your money back. They do not respond either.

My trip for $5636.07 to St Lucia was canceled due to corona virus. This company passed the buck and told me to get a hold of the hotel, car transfer and JetBlue myself. None of these businesses are open. You took my money and have not provided me with a service. I want my money back now. Even your competitors like Expedia has refunded money for canceled trips. I would NOT trust this company at all.
Before the COVID 19. I purchased a resort through Bookit.com. I got a resort because I was getting married. Later to find out that I am not even able to get on the website to try to get a refund for the resort that was paid for. On the website it stated that you will have to go through your bank in order to get a refund. We all know how much a headache that is going to be. I will never go through a 3rd party again. A lot of 3rd parties websites will be hurt due to what happen with bookit.
I have never booked an all inclusive trip and booked it with Bookit.com beginning of February for only three nights I paid $2300.!!! I received an email that there will be no international flights and they are not refunding at this time and to talk to your bank cardholder. There is no way to get in touch with anybody from bookit.com. I am self-employed and out of work with the Covid-19. I definitely understand why the trip has been canceled but as far as not being able to refund we all should be refunded because for them to take our money and leave it up to our bank is impossible especially I paid with a debit card not a credit card! WE NEED ACTION TAKEN.
Company took our full payment and did not book our money. Now they will not give our money back!! Should be called TOOKIT.COM. BookIt should never get any business from anyone - Coronavirus did not cause them to not pay for our trip - they had our money for 3 months.
I booked our honeymoon trip through BookIt.com on 2/10/2020 for travel dates 5/13/2020-5/20/2020. I received an email from them on 3/21/2020 stating my trip had been cancelled and all cancellation fees were being waived. When I tried to go to their website and login into the members lounge to view my account, there was a message that they halted operations on 3/17/2020 and all trips were being cancelled due to the Coronavirus AND... "As we are currently unable to process refunds to you, please contact your bank for options available to you as a cardholder." THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!! Bookit cancelled my trip, not myself and then to say they cannot process refunds. They were quick to take my money. So, where is my money, because my trip was cancelled? Sounds to me like this is FRAUD and SCAM!
Bookit.com has committed wire fraud against its customers. We purchased multiple vacations and prepaid them in excess of $11,000.00. Those trips were cancelled and no money was returned. When we contacted the resorts, they never received payment. When we contacted airlines they stated that Bookit.com had initially paid for the flights, but requested refunds of the flights on 3/22/2020 directly back to them. Bookit.com has not returned those funds. As such I have submitted a dispute with my credit card companies. Further, I have submitted a complaint with the FBI as this is wire fraud across state lines. I suggest everyone do the same as the more complaints they receive the more likely they will look into it sooner and get everyone's money returned. You may also contact your local law enforcement.
So trip was canceled, but then where is my refunds???? You close and cut off all phone numbers available. No way to contact to inquire about my refund. Bad business to not return money now that your company is closed.
We purchased 2 All Inclusive trips 1/24/20. Immediately received hotel confirmation and flight numbers via email. On 3/21 they sent an email saying our reservation was canceled and to contact our bank because they are not refunding. It turns out Bookit only pays hotel right before you go so it was never paid for. I’ve heard of others being stranded this past week on vacation because Bookit never paid their hotel.
BookIt.com went out of business due to cancellations from the COVID-19 pandemic. I had already made over $2,000.00 in payments for my trip to Mexico May 31st. I only found out from other victims Facebook pages that they closed their phones lines down & are not issuing any refunds. I am thankful to not be the people they left stranded at their resorts that were having to pay for their hotel again because BookIt had not used the advance payments from the customers to cover their stay. Hopefully BookIt will be sued & or have charges pressed against them. If they ever go back into business I will make sure everyone I know NEVER uses them!
On the 20th I received an email stating I was supposed to be refunded my money and I have never received it!!! I have used this service before and won't use again!! I will tell everyone I can tell not use this site
This company literally took my money, laid off their workers, shut the phones, cancelled our bookings and said “call your bank to see if they can get your money back.” Thievery in 2020. Now they blame the travel ban.. when they did this 4 days before it.
Without any explanation or heads up, our trip was canceled and they stated they cannot issue refunds. They cannot be reached either by phone or website. This is unacceptable. We demand that our money be refunded. This includes the money we paid for the shuttle to and from the airport as well as the money paid for travel insurance.
This company decided to cancel my July vacation and didn’t issue any refund. The email that was sent out said to speak to your bank and see what they can do. Currently my bank cant dispute them and said I would have to speak to the company. The company isn’t answering any phone calls and no emails. BookIt.com canceled my trip due to coronavirus concerns. Their email says they are canceling all trips thru June 30 and to seek refunds through my credit card. While the airline credit can be rebooked without fees, all money paid for hotel and transportation is lost/they kept it. I called the resort to see about choosing a different date and they said BookIt.com never gave them payment so I’d have to pay them out of my pocket to rebook. BookIt says they have closed operations so no way to seek refund through them. Total scam!!! They just pocketed their customers' money and closed.
I received an email that our trip had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 virus, booked for May 23rd through May 29th, but nothing was said about a full refund. We didn’t cancel, BookIt did. We also was booked with American Airlines included in our package. I called the airline and was told that my ticket had no face value. Please, I hope BookIt gives me our refund. We saved all year for this vacation.
We tried with multiple phone calls consisting of hour plus wait times to not cancel but simply reschedule our trip through Bookit when the Coronavirus outbreak occurred. We felt it would be best not to travel overseas to Mexico during these times. Delta was willing to give us a window to change, but the Occidental XCaret was not willing to move our dates. So, we took our chances and went with our family of 5. We heard about Bookit folding earlier this week and began hearing stories of resort fees left unpaid for people traveling this week. We stopped by the front desk to check on our situation and were told we still owed the full amount. Bookit neglected to pay our resort ZERO of the money we paid IN FULL in January. We had to pay again to be able to leave the resort.
This is straight FRAUD and we are furious. We never even got as much as an email from Bookit this week. This is an absolute nightmare. We rarely take family vacations due to the expense and now this happens right when our economy is in a bad place that will affect our family income. Never again will we book with anyone we do not know and fully trust is practicing ethical business standards.
Terrible, I’m just devastated. Book-it temporarily closed their site due to coronavirus pandemic. They said they won’t issue refunds for flights or hotels. I’m out $987 dollars and my vacation was still a month out. No customer service available due to the site being closed. I just can’t believe they did this to all of their customers.
BookIt robbed myself and many of other people!! They used Covid-19 as a excuse to bail with people's money. With no chance of ever getting a refund. Finding out they are no longer in business just overnight!!!
Our Visa was charged over $3200 and the hotel didn't received it and we were notified until we arrived. The hotel insisted we charge our Visa to pay them and we have no way of refund from Bookit.com. Efforts to email and phone are not connected. We think we are defrauded and will start legal action. Don't pay these people any money and don't book with them.
Very sad that they just close their doors and tell us we need to contact the hotel or airlines or our bank for our refund. We paid you for our service. YOU should still be working with us to get this straightened out for our money back. We all talk to you on the phone. Have no problem waiting on hold longer to get this resolved. What a cowardly move you made, now I'm left to fight for my $2000 back.
I booked and PAID for my trip on 3/14. Without any notice you lay off your entire staff and update your website telling me to contact MY BANK about a refund. Beyond ridiculous. Coronavirus is not a valid excuse to not settle things with your customers before pulling the plug! This was the 3rd reservation I’ve made with you and it’s my last! Don’t even bother opening back open your doors!
So, today 3/19/2020 I got a message when I logged into Bookit.com and stated that all reservations are cancelled and we need to contact our bank to get our money! This place is a joke! You should automatically refund everyone money! YOU guys cancelled MY BOOKING, so I should get all my money back. If I don't get my money back I will be getting some people involved. Purchased a $3900 vacation package from Bookit, got to resort and the day before we left we’re informed Bookit NEVER PAID THEM. We were basically held hostage by the Resort (they would not allow us to leave, closed front security gate and wouldn’t get us transportation to leave for the airport in Dominican Rep) until we paid the Bill Again. I know this is criminal, but even more criminal is there we’re more vacationers in our same situation. We also had to purchase another flight, pay additional fare to airport (1.5 hours away). Buyer beware and know they (Bookit) doesn’t care.
We booked our trip with this company only to discover that they never transmitted payment to the hotel we were supposed to be staying at. We had already paid for our all inclusive vacation so we're stranded in an expensive hotel with no money, ended up having to book an early return flight home because we couldn't even get ahold of someone to help us resolve.

Do not use this site!!! I was hesitant about using and against my better judgement I did... big mistake!! They took my money off of my credit card and didn’t pay the resort! I was called to the reception and informed by the manager that I would have to pay for my stay again as BookIt did not pay the resort... even though bookit had already taken the money off of my credit card, two weeks prior!! Furthermore, it was disclosed to me by the manager that bookit did not pay for ANY of the bookings at the resort Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun!! I repeat do not use as they are fraudulent!
I have used BookIt.com in the past so booking again with them was easy for me when I decided to plan a lady minute trip to Jamaica for my birthday in March. After calling bookit.com numerous times previous to my departure date (March 18th) just to confirm and reconfirm travel due to COVID-19 advisory. Yesterday, unfortunately I arrived in Jamaica to only be told by my ground transportation agency (which I already paid for!) that bookit.com filed for bankruptcy as of the night prior and they would not be honoring any reservations made through this site due to non payment. I then called my hotel that bookit.com was working with for my accommodations and they explained the same thing (bookit.com did not pay the hotel and no reservations were in good standing, I would have to get to the hotel by paying for transportation again then pay the hotel directly for my stay again once I got there!).
I then immediately called bookit.com in which now all numbers listed on the site are not in service at this time. I was paying bookit.com through their pay delay option. When I spoke with representatives from bookit.com prior to travel everything was in a confirmed status no issues were reported to me by any rep ever! Especially the day before travel. I chose to get on the next flight leaving out of Jamaica the same day (March 18) in which American Airlines was golden and overrided for us to hey back home! Since I use my cash app card for payments. I have emailed customer support with all information possible that I can give them. I am hoping that something will be done to get my money back (over $2600) which is just floating in bookit.com space right now and I have no way in hearing from anyone again from that site as they are not answering the phone! Heads up from here on out do not use their site which is still up and running successfully!
I booked vacation for Mexico. After a week and a half I wanted to upgrade to better room not cancel, I tried calling them waiting almost 2 hours no answer. My guess, medical emergency the whole world is having. So I tried to modify it myself, not sure what happened but I got charged almost 970$. For two days I called. When I got through, I was told they will fix it and everything will be used as a credit. Then I see they changed a lot on my booking but still charges exist for almost 620$. Called again. This time I spoke with very rude lady named Samanta. She just hang up on me.
As a small business owner, I support all business - small and big especially these days but THIS IS A ROBBERY, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I have filed a case with Better Business Bureau and the worst thing is I am still a customer until my vacantion is over, hopefully, nothing changes anymore. Being we have the Coronavirus scare going on I tried to speak with customer service about pricing and changing but was told the flight was non transferable and non refundable. Customer service guy was very rude. I asked for a supervisor and was told by him that I wasn't being reasonable to ask for that and he refused to let me speak to his manager. Never will book with BookIt again.
I’m trying to move my trip to a different time that’s set for next week. I’ve tried calling BookIt multiple times but it’s just dead air with no ringtone. I understand that there is a high call volume right now but I figured I should at least be directed to a menu of some sort. I’ve also tried moving the trip on their website but all the hotels in New York are not showing up when attempting to move a flight and hotel bundle. This has been an awful experience and just want to see if anyone else has had any luck getting ahold of them within the last few days. If so, which number did you call.

I have booked a trip to Punta Cana for 3 people from 04/16-04/23/20. ID **. I have tried multiple times with multiple ways (phone, chat..) to reach out to Bookit.com about the intention of cancelling my trip because of the Coronavirus travel advisory, but I could not go through. I went ahead, and cancelled the trip online, but was shocked to receive only $1400.00 notification of a refund (not even back to my credit card yet), instead of the $3500.00??? Where is the rest of my money? I also contacted American airlines to get a refund of my flights, but I was told they don't issue a refund, but they could change it with no charge, but they don't even know what the amount of the flight charged was :-( Can someone help me please get my money back. This has been such a frightening and disappointing experience so far for me with Bookit.com.
WHAT A MISTAKE! I usually make my own travel plans, but I was enticed by the lower price on Bookit.com. NOT WORTH IT. I started contacting them on Friday, 3/12/20, to cancel my vacation, because of the coronavirus. I have spent countless hours on the phone, mostly on hold, waiting to get some kind of resolution. It took until Monday, 3/16/20, after spending more than 8 HOURS of my weekend on the phone, to get part of the booking cancelled. As of this writing they have yet to give me a response to my inquiries concerning the airfare. I spoke with the airline, but they cannot make any adjustments because it has to be done through the Bookit agent.
I spent about 2 hours on the phone on Tuesday, 3/17/20, after advising them that they needed to get in touch with the airline to find out what the result of the cancellation would be, ie. refund/credit, fees, etc. I was told repeatedly that they were on hold with the airline and would call me back if we were disconnected. STILL WAITING! I was disconnected, as had happened over and over again during this whole process. Now, the phone numbers provided, and there are several, are not even going through! I have also attempted to email them and every email, even the ones they provided in their confirmations, FAILED.
I’ve been reading customer reviews and I find it almost impossible to believe that there are any ratings above 1-2 stars. For those that received excellent customer service, I would love to know what number you called and who you spoke with. The responses from Bookit to the 1 star rating reviews are so canned that you can hear it echo! And, they advise that you contact them to discuss the problem further, how that works, I don’t know, because no one is answering the phone and the emails don’t work.
This is a time of crisis and management leaves the agents out there on their own to deal with all the frustrated customers, offering no viable solutions, except to say that everything is in the policies and terms and conditions. It’s APPALLING! How could there be no working phone numbers to call or email addresses to contact?! I also noticed how quickly they responded to the negative reviews, it's a shame they couldn't respond as quickly to their customers in need of assistance. If your response is going to be to contact you to discuss this further please provide a working phone number or contact me, you have all of my information. My only recommendation to anyone interested in using Bookit.com would be: DON'T DO IT!!
What a complete scam. There's no way to contact the company. They have four different phone numbers for their customer service line and not a single one works. Literally the phones won't ring anymore. They say "The number no longer exist." This has been going on for the past three days. They have not sent out a reassuring email to their clients that they even recognize this problem is happening at the moment and they are well on their way of fixing it. Not only can we not reschedule our existing reservations it turns out the reservations have not even been paid for! Our trip was for Cancun, Mexico and thankfully I have a good friend who works at that resort tell me BookIt has NOT paid for any of reservations even though these were made months in advanced. Imagine leaving the country to find out you are stranded there with no place to stay?
Turns out we are not even alone in this! Almost all reservations made to that specific resort through BookIt.com HAVE NOT been paid. We cannot even contact the airlines and hotels directly because bookit has OUR money in some account somewhere and because of that we must go through bookit to change everything. We are not asking for a refund. We just want to reschedule, which their lovely representative Chad (ext. **) promised us we could. On their website it says to call back 7 days before our trip. Unfortunately, it's four days before our trip and we are still in complete blackout to this company. We have no money. No answers. A lot of heartbreak, frustration and are basically at the mercy of this horrible company.
We are a group of young low income individuals and this trip took a lot of saving up to do. Unless BookIt can somehow reach out to us, since apparently reaching out to them is impossible, it seems like we are out of $7,000. HOWEVER, I did record everything their representative spoke to me about and I am so thankful I did. I have phone records, emails, social media post, and receipts to back up my claims. Please do yourself the favor and NEVER use BookIt.com.
Due to COVID-19 I was in need to cancel my trip as there have been mandatory quarantines all around California. I called for days on end trying to reach someone to talk to about this, but every time I called it would ring through and then hang up. I went through the site calling every number I could find countless times, reaching out via Facebook, via Instagram, via email and still not have found luck being able to get ahold of anyone. This had cost me so much money. I ended up after giving up hope going in to cancel my trip in hopes that on the back end someone could help reimburse me. I have been trying to call without success after receiving notice that my non stop flights were changed by you to include a 7 1/2 hour layover resulting in loss of an entire day-there was no refund for paying extra for non stop-with no other resource, I will call credit card to cancel.

Updated on 03/26/2020: Hello everyone, First I would like to say that I have used Bookit.com for years. I have never had a problem. Now with COV19- I guess they could not stay in the game and took everyone’s Money that had trips coming up. I called several times on the 14th to reschedule my Bahamas Trip...could not get through. Next day same thing..next day same. The day of my Travel American Airlines called me and said my trip was cancelled.
Bookit apparently went in the week of the 15th of March and layer off several workers but told everyone to take their personal belongings home. Then Bookit put up this notice..."Contact your Bank for a refund for all charges." Then after digging deep into my Credit Card Statements..1 Trip that was supposed to be $2300.00 they charged my card $3600 plus. A Trip I had planned for my husband and I and another couple. They just kept charging my card. Lastly they opened a Reservation that had nothing attached to it but charged my Credit Card for $360.47. Now I am out over $6,000.00 to this Slimy Company. They sent any email that all automatic payments would be shut off...Not True! Then I get an email 2 Days later saying a mistake was made by their Banking System.."Contact your Credit Card holder.." Like I said I used them for years...now I say if they reopen.. Buyer Beware. I only rated a 1 Star because I could not give it a ZERO RATING!
Original review: In light of COVID-19 Corona Virus I was trying to reschedule my trip. I could not reach anyone. I sat on the phone for hours. I emailed the Hotel directly but they said they could not assist since I had gone through Bookit.com, the Airline said the same thing. I was supposed to leave today and still after trying for several days and countless hours I cannot get through. Maybe they should consider opening before 9am since they know they are going to have a ton of calls. Bookit.com in general is ok as long as you don’t have any issues. Hopefully they will finally reach out to me with my review, after all I spent thousands of dollars..
I already paid BookIt a month ago for my vacation. Now I'm checking out of my hotel in Cancun and they are saying BookIt isn't paying them. I now owe the hotel a bunch of money that should of already been taken care of. This is ridiculous, how can they not pay when I already paid them??
I booked an all inclusive resort stay only in Playa Del Carmen Mx with my family through Bookit.com. On 1/9/2020. When we arrived the concierge confirmed our reservation and all was well until the day came to check out. That's when manager informed us at check out that the resort had not received any payment from bookit who we paid in full $3584 a full 2 months prior! They made the reservation and the hotel held it without payment! So I am standing there luggage in hand with my kids and a taxi to the airport waiting and the only way I can leave is to get a hold of bookit and have them pay or that I must pay $3584 for a second time just to make my flight!
I panic, called bookit and someone answered and told me they had made a mistake and that would be paid immediately the next day since this was on a Sunday. I didn't trust them but had no choice at this point so I demanded a confirmation email from the representative with bookit to document this problem, gave the hotel manager my credit card just to get out of there and make my flight. 3 days later the hotel has charged my card and I never received the confirmation email I requested from bookit and have called every number I can find for bookit and none of them are even active lines anymore. I can't describe how angry I am and how terrible this has been. This is money I desperately need that was stolen.
I cannot get through to Bookit.com. My resort is saying that did not receive payment from them, when bookit took the money from my bank. Now I’m sitting in The Dominican Republic and having issues with my resort.
Horrible service. This company knows that no one can travel due to the Corona-Virus. I work in a hotel in NYC and we are reimbursing everyone, even non refundable reservations. Company wants to keep your money even in with this epidemic. Company has absolutely no moral standards. I understand if I want to change my plans because of my own decision, but Corona-Virus really?
I NEVER write reviews but absolutely must do so in order to assist someone else from booking with this company. I booked a trip for my family and I to go to Cancun. I called back because there was drop in American Airlines prices due to the Coronavirus pandemic. I was initially told that there would be a $200 change fee plus some additional fees for making a change. After demanding to speak with a supervisor, I was told that the changes fee would be waived, however, I would have to pay an additional $120 because although the flight I was attempting to change to was showing MUCH cheaper on American Airlines website, Bookit couldn’t honor it. After being frustrated and on hold for over a hour I finally told the representative that I would have to call back after I spoke to my husband as it was absurd for me to have to pay more for a flight that is showing much cheaper.
I called back 2 days later, to move forward with making the change after I saw the price had dropped on the Bookit website also. I was passed around 3 times, and when I finally got someone on the phone, she asked me for my Booking number which I provided her and then for a “search number” of which I had NO CLUE of what she was talking about. She then proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t make changes to my flight because it was outside of the change window (I still have no clue of what she was talking about with this). I informed her that I had just spoken with someone 2 days ago, that they had already contacted American Airlines and I had already been approved to make the change with the change fee being waived. The representative put me on hold for a little over 5 minutes and then came back to the phone and asked me if I could call back at another time to make the changes!!!! WTH!
She gave me an excuse that there call volume was high and asked if I could call back later. Needless to say, I refused and then she proceeded to ask me if I would hold again for 3 - 5 minutes. At this point, I’m LIVID and asked to be transferred to a supervisor immediately. The lady informed me that the reason she needed to put me on hold was because I needed to speak with someone in the flights department and she didn’t know how to assist me. Really?!?! So, now as I sit on hold again, waiting for someone to pick up in the “flight” department (let me mention I pressed the prompts to go to this department when I first called); it’s OFFICIAL, I will NEVER book with Bookit.com again and I will make sure to let all of my friends, family and colleagues know not to do so also. This is absolutely HORRIBLE!!
Horrible customer service. The company has not communicated clearly to customer if and what is going to happen to trips because of the COVID-19 outbreak. I supposedly am getting a "refund," yet they didn't refund me the full amount. I am out $500.
With the Corona19 virus we called to change our dates within the allotted time frame on our original vacation. Instead of the $25 per person fee we were charged over $500. How is this right? Obviously false advertisement on your original sale and no consideration for the severity of this virus and danger of travel! I will be posting all over social media and although long time BookIt customer will no longer use your travel company.

First issue was I called, waited an hr to get on the phone with someone. With everything going on a nation emergency I called to see if I could cancel or reschedule my booking and was told I would have to pay full cancellation fee. I was told Bookit is not responsible for what’s going on and it’s up to hotel to determine that. My trip is in 4 days. Today is Sat. They sent out an email and I was told that if I’m lucky I would get a email on Monday with an answer. I just think this is so wrong. We are in a state of emergency and all other sites including airlines are cancelling for no fees. Jet Blue said I could get my money back but Bookit won’t. Horrible customer service especially when a crisis is happening. This is the first time I book with them and it will be the last if this is not resolved.

We had to rebook because Bookit did not pay the resort and the Royal Solaris was rude and not able to accommodate. So after two hours on the phone and no solution we canceled and rebooked with new resort. Because of the mistake of bookit we will have to pay cancellation penalty. Very unfortunate and not what I expect from a company I have used for years. Hopefully management will look into this accounting disaster.

We had to cancel our trip due to the coronavirus. My work did not want any international travel and the government recommended no international travel yet BookIt still charged us the $25 pp fee to cancel. We had 2 reservations for a total of $200. No one else is penalizing us. Had an email from competitors that they are waiving fees yet bookit is still charging us. Poor choice when we are in the middle of a national pandemic and people are being forced to stay home.

Only problem was because BookIt.com is a third party, when JetBlue cancelled return flight, could only deal with bookit, and wound up purchasing another night at resort, (cost an additional $200.00), if direct with JetBlue they would have been able to find another flight that day.
The person I was speaking to was amazing. She answered all my questions and helped me change my reservation with only a small rebooking charge. She did not keep me on hold for long and always came back and apologized for me being on hold for long.

Easy to use website but prices changed each time I logged in or out. I did appreciate payment plan but was not clear enough. Didn't realize a portion of money kept for cancellation even with trip insurance even with discount still pricey. I hope trip will be worth it.
This is my first time booking a trip using this site. I started my first booking Sunday March 8, 2020. After finalizing payment there was an error page and we never got a confirmation of our vacation. After checking our bank statements (was paid between five cards) all of our accounts had been charged. I called customer service and spoke to two extremely rude representatives. They wanted to charge me again and told me the trip was never booked even though they saw on their end charges were pending.
I explained I couldn’t be recharged as the money was no longer in my account since it was “pending”. They offered no real solution and said I would have to wait until the charges were cleared so I could re book. Never guaranteeing me the price or even an apology for the inconvenience of the sites error. I asked to speak with a manager and was told I couldn’t be transferred to one. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I ended up getting my money back and had to re book the whole trip myself. I have booked through Cheap Caribbean hundreds with of times with no issues and get the best customer service from them.

Bookit.com does not give credit or refund if you have an emergency and need to cancel or like myself decided not to go to Jamaica because of the Coronavirus and due to underline health issues with asthma. Although, the company says you can cancel within 24-72hrs but they DO NOT truly honor what they preach. After calling several times they finally called me back and said, "You can cancel but it going to cost you the amount of the trip" so it doesn't make sense to do so. So it's going to cost around $600 plus dollars to cancel??? It's suppose to cost ZERO dollars 24-72 hours before the trip. A credit would be nice at-least. So if you book and something comes up (within the allotted cancellation date) and you need to change the date, need a refund or credit they will tell whatever excuse so they will NOT have to give you any credit or refund. You simply just lose your money!! Stay Away!

I recently finished my third BookIt.com vacation and am completely dissatisfied with their arrangements and customer support on my most recent trip. The hotel we stayed at in Puerto Vallarta was under major construction (expanding 3x its current size) and the airport transportation we arranged through bookit.com expected us to sit through additional trip excursion sales. Additionally, we were expected to sit through a time-share presentation when we arrived at our hotel (which we did not attend, but confirmed through discussion with other guests).
I received a request notification from bookit.com upon return from our trip asking for a review on their site. After giving an honest full review they posted a bookit.com edited version of my review on the bookit.com's site. Portions of the review that were critical of the service I received from bookit.com were removed as well as my complaints concerning the attempts at the additional sales meetings that had been made as part of my trip.
I called bookit.com to ask that my review be removed since it had not been posted in its entirety. Of course their customer service is outsourced to India. I was told that the review process was automated and that no one would have edited my review nor would they remove it. I am not stupid and know what I wrote so I was infuriated by that response.
When I widened the scope of my complaint to include the construction at the hotel and the additional sales attempts during my trip the phone magically started to cut in/out (no transmission problems before that point) and the representative began their long litany of denial from bookit.com that they had any responsibility for the quality of services provided. i.e. they had no idea of the construction and since the transportation services were not directly provided by them, they had no responsibility for how that was provided. I will no longer book my trips through bookit.com!

This company is a big rip off. Sure they give you cheap prices but they change every minute. The first time I booked I asked for deferred payment which was not given and they took the full amount out of my account. I had to wait 5 days for the money to be put back into my account. Meanwhile to get another reservation and to get the cancellation fee waived I had to book and pay that one even though the credit was not yet in my account. After this was paid off I went back into to modify my account. There is an error. Now they are saying they cannot transfer my funds to pay for the modification but instead will have to cancel and rebook which must be paid in full.
The salespeople act like they don't know what's going on. All they are interested is canceling and rebooking or getting another $25 per person cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor the salesperson refused to put one on the phone. Therir customer service is horrible. No help at all. I will never use them again. I would rather pay the money and not have to deal with the hassle. Bad experience all way around.

After going through 3 reps I still have not received the email confirmation of my cancellation of a reservation made. Even after contacting the hotel myself and getting the okay to cancel. Bookit has still not emailed me. I Was emailed today about the confirmation of the reservation, I don’t want it to be confirmed, I wanted it to be canceled. This was purchased by mistake. And I am receiving the runaround.

Easy booking. Lots of choices... would like more info on cancellation policy... not always enough info on surrounding areas and activities... That is all I can say about booking... cancellation fees should be covered too. Not always clear what penalties are for canceling.
I called In to change flight within hours of making reservation. I was on phone for 50 minutes. Finally it was canceled because it was cheaper online. An hour later I get charge $774! So I had to call back to get that fixed another hour of my day. And I have to wait several days for these funds to be reversed. I didn't mention that I have to also call Travel Guard to cancel. That's another hour. This is my 40th birthday celebration. I have a PARTY of 10 traveling with me. We will go with Another service as I can't trust this service with my card information.

I went online to book my trip to Cabo. When I processed the payment it took a few minutes and then popped up with an error and said it wasn’t able to book the trip and to check my info. Before submitting again I checked my account and I was charged the full amount. I also got an email with my itinerary and it had a different flight than I originally chose.
I called customer service and a nice lady answered and first told me I had to cancel and rebook and it would take 5-7 business days to get my money back. So I asked if she could talk to a supervisor and see if there is a way to just change the incorrect flight without cancelling and rebooking. She put me on hold and came back and told me she could transfer me to flights to have that taken care of. I was on hold for 45 minutes and no one picked up. I hung up as I had a class to teach and then called back later that night. A man answered and although he fixed the flight issue he was rude the entire call. I should have booked through the resort as it was only $60 more and I would have gotten a $75 spa credit with that. I will not very likely be using book it.com in the future.
I made a reservation this morning. When I received the confirmation my name appeared as both the primary traveler and other traveler. Your website reverted to my name instead of my husband's. When I called to get it resolved, I didn't get the member discount of $18.xx.
Representative was excellent in assisting me with my booking reservations to Cancun Mexico. I had a difficult time located the Temptation resort all inclusive Adults online. After being assisted I was able to be reserved for what I truly wanted with BookIt.com. Excellent Customer service!

I have had multiple issues with them taking money out of my account outside of the payment date. Then they have been charging a fee because it was an overdraft in my account. When I call I’ve gotten no assistance. I really wish I could cancel this trip and book it with someone else. Their customer service is horrible and what they’re doing and should be illegal.

It was difficult when paying and having to know who’s going on the vacation so I don’t have to cancel if the other traveler cancels. It should be to where you can change the people who are going in case they can’t go.

Got errors every time I tried to add excursions but booking everything else was fine. So I didn't add any excursions to the trip. I guess I will book those elsewhere. Unless I can add those somehow later after I make all my payments for the trip. Also it would be better if the 6 payments were spread over 6 months instead of 4. 1 payment a month was what I was expecting.
Terrible Terrible experience. I paid for a vacation for two with airfare everything went smoothly until the next morning. I woke up to an email saying my vacation was cancelled. They said there was an error on their part and my money would be refunded in 7-10 days. I was told that there was nothing they can do and sorry for the inconvenience. Huge inconvenience since the trip is in less than a week and I already booked a rental car to drive to an airport 12 hours away. They "looked" for another vacation for me which was way out of my price range after I made it clear how much I was willing to spend. They would not give any type of discount or compensation. They just repeated sorry for the inconvenience. After a while of getting nowhere I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was asked why I wish to do so. I was placed on hold for a crazy amount of time and then hung up on. Totally unprofessional and such a disappointment. Bookit.com is a joke.

This is our 2nd vacation booking with BookIt.com and both times we received the exact resort we wanted at a great rate! We have used other discount vacation sites but have not received the deals or variety that they have. Would definitely recommend them for any travel needs.
After carefully going through the reservation process on your website and finalizing what I thought was going to be a all included vacation package totaling $3,500 with flights and all, a charge totaling over $5,500 was made to my debit card. I immediately proceeded to call your 800 number to request you cancel the booking and refund my money but to my surprise I was told that you would be charging me $25 per person for the cancellation ($100 for 4 ppl) and to make matters worse the funds will not show in my account until 7 to 10 days for now. Due to Your website not stating correctly what the total amount would be now I find myself in this very, very unpleasant situation where now I am out of funds to go somewhere else and book a vacation for my family.

I called the 800 phone to confirm what was the modifications fees 2 times: 2 agents answered like 2 kids - Answer was not accurate like "the best bet is to do that... but if you dont want to take the risk, dont do", wrong answers like 24 h after this call and not prior to arrival date. When they could not give even wrong answers, they put me on hold for 40 min and 1 h each one. First and last time I am booking thru this site. Plus today monday I called again, the lady told me that there will be a fee for modifications that was not specified on the site...

The shuttle service they use is St. Johns Tourism. When our flight was delayed by over two hours they refused to change the pickup time. Did not care that we would be sitting at the airport for over five hours. They were Very uncooperative to say the least. Aside from that, everything went well.

Very easy, and really offered a steep discount on package combos. I tried other sites and they were all roughly 4-8 hundred more than this site. Also offered additional bonuses for End of Month sales, which saved $150.00 more. if you are looking for anything, even singular packets, this is a great site to find and compare your prices to.
Elizabeth was very helpful and answered all our questions to make booking easier. She made sure that I knew what I was booking for my trip so I wouldn't have to hassle. Booking is nice to use because you can book other activities to do while there.
So far so good as we don't take the trip till July. Hopefully all goes smooth and the hotel can do a little something special for my wife to be due that it's our honeymoon. We are definitely excited for this trip as it is our first time out of the country.

My online experience booking my vacation met all of my expectations. Although I did not speak to a live person, which are preferable by me, the instructions were explainable to meet my goal. The great thing about this reservation is that it offered a payment system, which is wonderful. It can get very expensive between airline tickets and hotel stays.

I just got finished booking my September anniversary trip when I realized I had clicked on the wrong room. I called the customer service number in a panic and the nicest woman happily updated my reservation to the room I had originally wanted. The entire process beginning to end was easy as could be! I’m a little disappointed with the overall experience. There were some good thing i.e the low deposit and ease of use of the site. There were definitely some things that I had a problem with. I called in to make my reservation because I had a few questions. I have the person helping my information 4 times because he informed me that the system was recently updated and was having problems. For some reason my reservation didn’t go through and I was told I would get a call back in an hour. That never happened. Hours later I went online to book myself, again my reservation didn’t go through. The message I got was there was a issue with the hotel but my flight were booked as quoted.
I called customer service the next day and was told they couldn’t honor the price I was previously quoted. I was told there was nothing they could do even though their agent never called me back and it was THEIR system that had issues. I ended up paying a few hundred dollars more than I was originally quoted. Their mistakes cost me money and I was only offered a $25 discount. They also don’t price match and I found the exact same reservation for almost $500 less. Not sure if I would use this site again.

My representative was patient with me! He made sure I got what I wanted a more! I always use paydelay when I book my trips via BookIt. It’s something that I take full advantage of and appreciates! Instead of paying in full when it’s not in my current budget and my representative made sure my payments were in my budget, and even changed one of the dates that was not good for me.
I ended up needing a telephone agent to confirm my vacation, he was very helpful. The website had me caught in a loop of my information needing to be inputted again and again. Because of the glitches with the website and my frustration I believe I missed out on coupons/promos that were being offered that I had input at the beginning.

Absolutely horrible experience on the website and with customer service on the phone. I booked a vacation package online and it kept saying that it did not go through after several attempts. I gave up. After checking my email, it apparently went through. On the phone with customer service was a horrible experience. The representative was not friendly at all. When I told him that I couldn’t confirm the hotel booking online with the hotel, he said it was confirmed on Bookit and he couldn’t do anything else. Also, I got 2 emails from bookit regarding flight changes but when I logged in online at bookit to view it, the page says it’s been redirected from bookit too many times to open it. Absolutely horrible experience. I wouldn’t ever even think or recommend anyone to book through bookit.

Picked out a vacation package. Finalized it only to get a error on the flight but still charged me for the hotel, when I called the number provided to fix the problem I was put on hold for far too long only to be told that your representative could not assist me in getting a flight to go along with my hotel and recommend that I reach out to airlines on my own. After being told you couldn’t get me a round trip flight I got online only to be directed back to your site where I got a flight after being told you could help me get a flight. Very poor service. Will not be recommending your company.

I thought it was a very simple booking experience! It would be nice to know that you have to book flights through the airline website, not the BookIt website.
Other than that, it has been a great experience and we look forward to our vacation!
After having a billing issue recently that I could not resolve with my first frustrating phone call, I lodged my complaints and expected BOOKIT.COM to just ignore me. I figured I would have to take my grievances elsewhere. I am happy to say that a representative named Jessica went out of her way to help us resolve our dispute regarding a duplicate charge. She called my husband several times and then I spoke to her as well yesterday and emailed her my vacation voucher information.
As promised, she called me today and let us know that the issue had been taken care of. I am glad the dispute is resolved and I can now enjoy my vacation when that time comes, without any more worries. Jessica went above and beyond and I can actually say that talking to a reliable person that is so willing to help a customer has restored my faith in this company.
I had the most negative experience talking to an agent today, almost a month after booking my vacation with this company they deny the extra charges. BOOKIT.COM charged me for roundtrip transfers at the time of booking the hotel, AND then turned around and charged again for the roundtrip transfers. The second charge appears on my credit card bill separately. At the time of booking, I got to the checkout page, added on the roundtrip transfers and a coupon code and my total was $2407. I made sure several times that the roundtrip transfers were included in the price because I don't want any issues once I get to my destination. I actually saw all the prices listed, the subtotal and then the total, so I went ahead and checked out. I received my confirmation by email and printed out my vouchers.
When I noticed the additional charges today, I called to speak to an agent and she insisted the two charges were correct. We argued over this for a long time, all the while I was telling her I had my printout stating very clearly the price I paid for my vacation in full. She refused to put a supervisor on the phone after I asked repeatedly. I was on the phone over 40 minutes talking to this lady and explaining that the charges were wrong. She put me on hold repeatedly because she didn't know the correct information and had to check on everything with someone in the background. Then she put me on hold several times to supposedly get a manager on the line but always said that they were busy or in a meeting. TERRIBLE customer service.
They cannot charge customers twice and then deny it when I actually have proof. I have a printed voucher from a month ago, the exact day I booked my trip with all the charges paid in full. Once I called and disputed the charges, all of a sudden this agent wanted to provide me with a "new" voucher with a "new price". I asked, "Why is there a new voucher? Why isn't my original voucher any good after I paid for and booked this trip almost a month ago and printed out everything?"
She only said that I need to see that the new voucher with the new price is the correct one. So I printed out the new one as proof that they changed it today to include a higher price. The vouchers do not match. So I asked for a credit for the unauthorized 2nd charge and she tried to take the transfers off my vacation altogether! So I can get stuck in Mexico with no transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice versa? No way! I said no, I need my transfers and my credit for the duplicate charge but she just repeated that the price was correct. I got nowhere with this agent, no supervisor available, no one to call me back, nothing!
We're sorry for the poor experience that you had booking with us. In looking at your booking now, you were only charged one time for your round trip transfers which is added separately. If you check out the "Billing Breakdown" on your Guest Voucher, you'll be able to view this information yourself as well. It may be that you're looking at the overall trip total which includes round trip transfers. We hope that this helps to ease your frustration. Used this company 3 time, never had a problem, they will change your booking if you see it at a lower price. One trip I change 3 times to get the lowest price possible. I will continue to use them for my future trips.

BookIt showed the pay delay option for my trip that wasn’t pay delay applicable. This caused my hotel to be booked and not my flights which has now caused a headache for me. I had to call into the customer service line. Be on the phone for a long time just for her to cancel and rebook the trip. I’m hoping this doesn’t cause confusion for the hotel and it was just a very inconvenient experience. I’ve used bookit in the past but this has left a bad impression. Your website should be more accurate. Or it shouldn’t have allowed any of the trip transaction to go through, if I’m booking a bundle why let the hotel portion be confirmed just to give an error on the flights, makes no sense.

My 3rd booking very very pleased. Never had any trouble at the resorts or transportation. I also used excursion service. Also 5 star service. Tour was canceled and I was refunded before I left the island. Who does that BookIt. I did use flight too. Just wish BookIt offered Southwest Airlines. Bookit is my go to site. Giv'em a try. You won’t be sorry. Oh I don’t need much contact but they are there if you need them always print your itinerary ❤️❤️❤️.

Booked a all inclusive trip with airfare and when it was processed airfare was not included. Called immediately and they said it was a glitch in the system. So had to cancel entire thing. And now they're telling me it will take 5-7 days for refund.

Mexico Vacation. We booked a trip with 3 other couples through BookIt. The price was great, and once we get back from our vacation I will write another review about the resort! Everything I’ve read and seen say it is a wonderful resort and I cannot wait! Thanks BookIt for the great deal!!
My wife and I have used BookIt on several occasions, and we’ve never had any issues. Their pricing is about average, nothing to write home about, but if you search long enough you can get a good deal on BookIt like we just did, 8 nights 9 days in Cancun at the Royalton, with ocean view and Diamond club for $2650, that is an awesome price. BookIt is not always the cheapest, but you can find great deals here if you are persistent and constantly check. Great job BookIt, keep up the awesome work. Would highly recommend using BookIt.
This was the first time I have used Bookit.com and I was surprised to be able to save over $200 than booking direct at the hotel. Bookit also gave me the choice of the entire category of hotel rooms the hotel offers. Other sites I visited only offered the choice of 2 categories of rooms (i.e oceanfront and standard). I cannot wait for the trip.
I've used BookIt.com several times. I always find the best prices (trust me I look at ALL the sites) and they offer convenient payment options. I would recommend using them and will continue to use them for me and my family.
Booking Cabo. It seemed very easy to book this Vacation. I have stayed at this resort many times. It took me a while to find the right deal but I finally found the one I wanted. I would recommend this website to anyone looking to book a vacation, the extra dollars off sure helped.

This is my second time booking with BookIt.com. I find it’s very convenient and the prices are generally good. Sometimes I think the promotions on offer are only click bait but the prices offered are at least competitive even despite not really saving as much as advertised.
Very helpful associate. Only problem was we ended up paying $130.00 more for our package than my sister-in-law. She was told we could get the same deal as they signed up for but that we needed to email the rep to call us back. In that length of time the flight charge changed. That was disappointing as we thought we had a better deal than we ended up with. I did a little research on the insurance. Travel Guard is a little more expensive than we are used to for travel insurance, but Forbes has it on one of their top travel insurance companies. Looking forward to the trip regardless. Very good customer service and quick to respond back!
Booking our vacation through BookIt was very easy. Many resorts to pick from, easy to pick your best flight, and gave you a breakdown of your plans. I have used Cheap Caribbean in the past but they did not have the resorts I was looking for, since my family have use BookIt before I thought I would give it a shot.. Will use again.. Very happy!!

It was somewhat easier to find & select air flights & a nearby hotel that would work. Rental car not so. However might had been perhaps where I was planning my trip at the time. May return to this site again to plan another trip.

I have used Bookit.com for my last 16 vacations to both Mexico and Jamaica have never been disappointed yet. The service is friendly and accommodating. If there ever were changes need they have bent over backwards to help and make changes for me. Any of my special requests have always been sent and handled to my liking. I had booked a flight and hotel for April 2020 to Jamaica through Bookit in August of 2019. Later on that year, a friend added himself to my reservation through Bookit in October. He called Bookit to cancel his reservation in January. Bookit allowed him to cancel MY reservation! I called Bookit on January 19, 2020 and they told me that a male called and verified MY credit card number and booking ID number. They said they would speak to the manager and see if my reservation could be reinstated and will call me within 48 hours. I waited 72 hours and did not get a call back. Not to mention the wait time to speak to a representative is about 30-45 minutes.
I called Bookit again on January 22, 2020 and spoke to the manager assistant. They told me that my reservation could not be reinstated once it has been canceled. I explained the situation and that I was not the one to cancel the reservation, but my friend did and that they had him on a recorded line. They told me that there was nothing they could do and issued me a refund minus $50! This is unfair, unjust and unacceptable. I had used Bookit in the past and will never do so again! Horrible experience.

First time using BookIt. Process was easy to understand and use. The only thing is they charge for split payments. We ended up just charging the whole thing on one card. I really enjoyed the option for picking our flight seat (hopefully it goes as selected) and modifying flights.
I've booked two trips so far on BookIt.com and am so happy about them. Their prices are great and they have so many options. Can't wait to book my next trip. The fact that you can also book activities is a plus.

The Customer service that I received was amazing and I would you recommend this site for all your future travel needs. The agent was very helpful with explaining everything and she went over the plan with me to make sure that it met the needs that was required.
Online ordering was good up to the point when I was informed, after I entered my credit card information, that something was wrong with my flight, and I was asked to pick another flight. Since nothing offered was good, I decided not to try to book again the flight and hotel. I called BookIt and asked an operator to book the same deal, hoping that they would be able to find better flight. While I was doing that, I received an email from BookIt confirming the deal that they said did not go through! I am not sure why that happened, but I was still happy about the deal - good price and best (original) flight. I later double checked and confirmed with BookIt, with the resort directly, and with airline (Spirit) that everything is booked properly, since I was not sure if the deal went through.
I am currently booking for multiple people for an upcoming birthday trip. I tried booking via phone with a live agent. Someone answered the phone but never said hello. The individual kept speaking/laughing in the background. I was never acknowledged before being disconnected.
