My wife and I were on a flight from South Bend In to Sanford Fl. On 6-18-25. The flight was scheduled departure for approximately 9 pm arrival approximately 1115pm. The flight did not leave till the next day at 245 am on 6-19-25. It was close to a 6 hr delay. We were given vouchers that only enabled us a fruit cup each due to high prices. We had to pay extra parking cost and car rental fees. All Allegiant did was offer us 50 dollar credit vouchers each. This is unacceptable. We have been flying Allegiant frequently for at least 12 yrs now. Very disappointed. Tough to reach anyone to get this resolved.

They are not low cost at all. Bags cost 70-75 EACH WAY - so add 140 to your round trip, plus if you don’t want a middle seat, or to sit with family, you pay at least 32 each way - there’s another $64 just for seats. They are no longer the cheapest airlines with all those… a cup of water on the flight? $4!!!! Per person…. So many “hidden” fees!!!! No more are they $50 flight ($100) round trip - but $350+ be careful.

Flight 1445 from New York to Destin was among the worst domestic flights I have ever experienced. Not to mention pricing that does not reflect actual flight cost. DO Not FLY with them.

We went to the airport two hours early to get on our flight on January 16, 2025 after waiting four hours and being told several different stories our flight was canceled and we were told by the Gate staff that we would get a $200 cash payout from their payment processing center for each Ticketed passenger and $100 voucher for a future flight. What really happened was we got $100 blank voucher when you opened the email attachment and we only got one $200 cash payout from the processing center.
I had to call Customer Service the next morning and find out that when they sent me another voucher, it was still blank - so the CSR had to give me the number that I could write down for that Voucher. Also, we were only allowed one $200 payout per email or reservation (up to 4 people), and that’s not what we were told by the Allegiant staff at the gate. They told us something false to calm us down and then did not keep their word. Several people, along with My Husband and I, asked again and again and they stood by what they said the first time that we would EACH get a $200 payout and a $100 voucher.

I called to ask about my Allways reward points. The recording said that there was a 15 minute wait so I held the line not knowing how long I had been waiting. Then the-recording said there is a 30 minute wait then I noticed I had already been holding the line over 30 minutes!! So I never go through. So I doubt they are really giving companion tickets if the only way to get them is to call and hold the line over an hour!

I have several issues with Allegiant. Checked bag charge increased by 100% in one day after booking. Had I known of their unethical business practices, I would have booked day one, WOW, in this tight market, Allegiant would stoop to such poor management practices. Oh, by the way, the last two times I have flown with Allegiant, there was no one to assist me in the wheelchair, my wife had to push me. By the way, she is 67 and needs assistance. Why, oh why, do we fly Allegiant (because we are like 100% people and wish to spend our hard-earned money wisely.)

I attempted to cancel a car rental booked through Allegiant as part of one of their vacation packages more than 24 hours before my trip, as required by their terms. This was a Las Vegas vacation. However, the customer service agent advised me to wait until after the reservation, stating it would be easier to process the refund once it showed the rental wasn’t used. I followed that advice in good faith, but was later denied a refund for not canceling within the stated window. Despite reaching out multiple times and being told the call would be reviewed, no meaningful resolution has been offered. This experience reflects poor internal communication and misleading customer service that ultimately cost me both time and money.

My flight was delayed after we boarded the plane for 2 hours just to get told to get off & they’ll have another plane there in an hour, well that was a lie because we waited 3 more hours just to be delayed again for another 4 hours, all due to computer issues. Well we got a new plane & boarded that one & sat for about 40 minutes, just to get delayed again due to computer issues. I will never fly with this airline again, they’re terrible.

Never in my life have I been so dissatisfied in a company. I would like to think of myself as an understanding person. I don't normally leave bad reviews because most scenarios are beyond control. With that being said. On 05/17 at 6pm we were due to fly back to Cincinnati from Florida. Flight was delayed 5 different times until 12pm.
Then canceled after the plane finally arrived. My biggest issues is the reason we were cancelled is the pilot ran out of hours. It appears to me that they knew this was the case from the beginning. So the next morning the problem was the fact we paid for exit row seating that was given away to the very crew that couldn't fly us back the night before. We were not issued a refund at all For the exit row seating. Then it cost an Uber over to a hotel and a hotel cost. They did give us a meal voucher that wouldn't cover any meal in the airport.
And they did offer some compensation but it wasn't at all what they said at the gate. Next that compensation came in the form of a credit to be used on future flights. The problem is that is of no use to me because I will never fly with them ever again. They even brought the police down to the terminal to tell us we were cancelled after sitting in the airport all day and most of the night. So unprofessional in my opinion. Just do yourself a favor. And fly with a different airline.

Trying to fly out to Sanford on 4/6/25. My original boarding time was 8:36 but it got pushed back by an hour. After that it was another hour delay. By that time if my flight departed I'd arrive at my destination by tomorrow. The flight is then delayed again by another hour for "maintenance" which I didn't mind because better safe than sorry. After 20 minutes there is yet another announcement that the boarding won't start until midnight. I've spent at least 6 hours waiting on a flight that keeps getting pushed back further and further. While waiting they already had one flight cancelled and the other delayed. This one is another delay, nothing's on time.

Allegiant Airlines FLT from RFD to PHX/MESA, Monday 3/24/2025. My husband and I had seats 14a and 14b extra leg rm exit row, boarding the plane my husband was in front of me and placed his bag up, I had under chair carry on but there was a lady in 14c seated so, asked my husband to place my bag also up, a lady standing in the row in front of ours, gives me a dirty look and angrily asked you can't do that yourself very angrily. I did not know she was a flight attendant, so I just answered no.
Mind you, no name tag or uniform, she started to ask me more questions and was very angry, advised if I could not do this myself, I could not sit there and would be moved. I sat down and she advised me not to buckle in as, I was being moved. I started to advise my husband usually placing our bags up, as I had arthritis in my left and that had been taken care of and was relieved so was just what he did even after it was taken care of. She did not let me finish and screamed at my husband, she just admitted she has arthritis and cannot sit there. She did not let me say I most certainly could place my bag up above and even show her. She simply wanted a fight and my husband, and I stopped talking.
The lady in 14c said she traveled in her seat on 4 different flights and never saw or heard a flight attendant do this. Then we witnessed this flight attendant argue with another passenger to place her back up above in row behind us. This lady almost dropped her bag on the lady in 14c but the flight attendant never even moved to help her. The lady in 14c and I were in shock. Security then came to move me to another seat back 19b. I took my bag from above and went to 19b. There was elderly gentleman in 19c probably in his 90's at least. He had to move but was having a hard time with the seat belt and looked very confused.
His wife was in the seat across the aisle and said she would have to help him. I turned to another flight attendant and asked for another seat as the gentleman was having a difficult time with moving. This attendant said there are no other seats. I said, "You need to find one as this gentleman should not have to move and is not understanding what is going on." This flight attendant then asked another man two rows up 17b to move and I was able to sit there. None of the attendants had the same uniform or name tags, so I do not have names. The lady in 17a window seat then watched the angry first flight attendant, be very combative with other passengers.
The lady in 17a happened to be the lady who almost dropped her bag on the lady in 14c and she asked me if I heard what the angry flight attendant said to a lady seated behind us. I did not and said I was trying to ignore her as much as possible. After the flight my husband said this angry flight attendant actually came back down the aisle and yelled at him, asked if he called her name, he said no, and she said, "You were looking at me."
My husband advised he was not and did not want to. This has never happened to us ever and we have sat in the same seats every time we fly Allegiant. We were so relieved to get off the plane and home, I was not going to post a review but after reading all the other reviews, it is obvious condones this behavior of their flight attendants. We will never fly Allegiant again and felt we should validate all the other reviews stating the rude and angry behavior condoned by Allegiant Airlines, this is not a one-time occurrence, it is obviously Allegiant Airlines' policies allows condones and allows this behavior by their flight attendants.

Recently flew Allegiant from Knoxville, TN (TYS) to St. Pete/Clearwater (PIE). Weather caused the cancellation of our return flight. It was impossible to reach Allegiant by any means in the hours following the cancellation. We tried text, chat feature on the website, and of course, phone (which I gave up on after waiting on hold for over an hour). Ended up renting a car the next day and driving 11 hours to get back home. The lesson I learned --- by the time we paid $180 in baggage fees, we probably only saved $200 or less compared to Delta. And the best we could have done with Allegiant (which was never actually offered) was a return flight four days later. So when considering an Allegiant flight, take into consideration what can happen, and the associated costs, if something goes wrong. We ended up saving no money at all, and were never able to contact the airline when we needed to make travel decisions.

Then they load us on the plane at 12 am and everything in the airport was closed for food and drink so we think we could get something on the plane haha, nope, they never loaded the new plane with food from Cincinnati they sent.
We get to FL and the rental car place is closed. I email Allegiant because it was a simple fix to get money back, we had $150 in uber fees and a no-show for our hotel of $344. I got a email back saying, "We gave you $50 and that is everything you will get from us and this is the last email so do not respond anymore to us" when that was the first email I sent. It would be nice if just once my flight left on time when I booked on Allegiant. It is becoming common practice to be delayed. My flight last week was delayed because they were “waiting on a crew member”. I understand things happen but things seem to happen every time I fly with them now. Maybe instead of delaying a flight full of passengers to “wait on a crew member” you should have backup plans in place in the event this happens. There always seems to be an excuse for why the flight was delayed. After a few times, it just gets old.

We had booked our flight to VPC in early January and also a return flight to BLV on 2/17. Flight 3103 was originally scheduled at 5:13 PM on 2/13/2025 but was delayed until 6:35 PM. We had also paid for check-in baggage on both flights. When we returned to BLV airport at 5:15 PM the baggage check-in counter was closed! We were instructed to proceed to security with our bags, however some expensive items in my wife's bags could not be checked through. Since the items were expensive, the TSA agent advised us to take the items back to our vehicle since we had plenty of time before boarding. The time was now approximately 5:30 PM. On my return to the terminal at approximately 5:45 I heard an announcement for final boarding for our flight. I again had to go through security and my wife and other passengers went to our gate only to be told the doors were closed and we could not board. This was at 5:55.
We simply could not believe this had happened. Another passenger with 2 small children was in the same situation. Allegiant failed in several areas. 1. Closing the baggage check-in early. 2. Stopping boarding early when clearly there we passengers at the gate. I believe the flight was overbooked and Allegiant had the opportunity to resell our seats, particularly right before a holiday. Because we had booked a return flight with Allegiant we had no choice but to purchase seats on a flight on 2/14. I am extremely disappointed in your airline. My dad (has late stage disease) lives in Tulsa, I bring my kids to see him as much as possible. For the most part, Allegiant's straight flights between LAS and TUL has been a godsend in terms of cost and time (2+ hr flight). Other airlines will charge you twice Allegiant's rate, and book you on 2 separate 2+ hr flights. So I often choose Allegiant.
That said, only 1 thing makes my Allegiant experience deplorable, and it's having to interact with this Midwest platinum blonde check-in officer that's worked at Allegiant TUL for years, a "customer service" lady that's just plain rude. I get it if she was maybe having a bad day the first couple of times; beyond that, there's just no excuse for bad behavior. I get it, customer service is tough, and this is something I know firsthand. But over the years, this check-in officer has just been rude every single time, her behavior not simply escalating from 0 (pleasant, professional) to 100 (irate, rude), but seemingly staying at her baseline of 100 all. the. time.
It's like she's realized her 1+ star budget airline 'career' / legacy / life's work (a reviewer-uploaded photo of a "glued together" Allegiant overhead bin flashes in my mind), and she hates the world for it. If she's so miserable, maybe she should go frack herself. And earn money that way. I remember seeing properties between OKC (when we watched a Thunders game) & Tulsa that appeared to be fracking.
I've sent Allegiant feedback/suggestions regarding this Allegiant worker's behavior. It's hard not to laugh, thinking about this now, in retrospect. Will this 'airline' (as TripAdvisor user ** wrote, “Allegiant Airlines or Alleged Airlines?”) actually spend money to properly train their staff members? Doubt it. I've worked for a budget business myself, and remember requesting proper training for interacting with our (rich, frugal) VIP guests. My manager repeated, "VIP training.." The suggestion never came into fruition. No, but seriously. I'm usually very sad when I leave Tulsa. I never know if I'll see my dad again. The last thing that I need is to have to deal with a rude "customer service" lady that's there to "help" but also take her anger out on others.

A last minute night before cancellation of a flight for the following morning sent into motion a cluster of problems caused by Allegiant. From a non-functional website to an app that wasn't working we were forced to sit on hold for customer service for 2 hours only to be treated by customer service like our immediate issue was not a huge concern of hers. When asked how she was doing today, I was met with 'Well I am here." No empathy or urgency to solve our problem which caused flights to book full while we were on the phone with her and our son almost losing a new employment opportunity to her lack of investigation.
I needed to purchase a separate brand new one way ticket for the cost of 2 our round trip tickets. Those flights were also each delayed which caused issues with transportation, employment issues, family conflicts, pet kenneling increased fees, more meals, longer parking, longer lodging, inconveniences also the way around. They may be a bit cheaper than other airlines, but don't be fooled by that. You get what you pay for.

They even removed the seat back pockets. Unless I’m desperate I likely will not fly Allegiant again.

I said I know and he was very rude about it. Also, the female with grey hair said rudely, "Is that a "Service Dog"." I said no she'll be a therapy dog. She rudely said, "Well that doesn't matter." This was the trip from Springfield back to Punta Gorda. The same staff for both ways. I thought the roominess was horrible but not as bad as the rude flight attendants. Lastly, I was parched. Our flight was delayed and they charged me $75 for each small roll on carryon bag at the time of check in. They did not charge me when I traveled the same way this past summer. My son and I. They bait and switch with what is considered “low airfare” but they make you pay for your seat there and back. They don’t provide any complimentary snacks. They charge for everything. They decide we need to be bused to different airport. Then they cancel the flight before we leave the first airport. They then tell us they putting us up in a hotel and providing dinner. (No dinner. Just more lies). Well they bring us to Vermont, drive by the hotel and instead drop 100+ of us off at the airport in the 20 degree weather. We then have to wait outside for a shuttle to hotel which can only fit 11 of us per trip with 15-20 mins between trips. We have to do shuttle again in the morning. I have flown Allegiant many times and it was a great experience! But I’ve always done short trips with them and never had to bring a carry-on before or a checked in bag. Decided to do a bigger trip with Allegiant and found what I thought were good deals on a flight. When I went to book, being not a very experienced flyer, I saw the bundle option on the main page of their website and selected the “Bonus” option which showed that the Checked-In bags were included with the blue mark. So while purchasing the flight I didn’t select what I thought would have been the “extra” checked-in bags for the flight, since I thought they were already included in the bundle that I have already selected. APPARENTLY, they are NOT included. And I think that is a misleading marketing.
They show you how much money you would save if you select all the “included” items with the protection plan to get that price. But nowhere in the front page it says that in normal-sized letters. You have to manually add those items on. So…. Definitely was thrown off by this. I’ve flown with Delta, South West, and United and never had these “misconceptions” and the flights sometimes aren’t that much more expensive. So…just not something that I really liked about this last trip with Allegiant.

I asked this and they said no. I think it's reasonable considering the circumstances. This is my first time flying Allegiant. This flight was changed and now arrives just before midnight instead of 5pm. That's a pretty big difference. I'm traveling with my children and we had plans to drive up to Jacksonville for an appointment. I can change my plans, but I can't drive that late at night as it is unsafe for me to do so for many reasons. I looked into other options (other flights with Allegiant) and there aren't any. I get my girls on Friday 20th at 3:30pm and it's an hour to any airport from where we live. If I switch airlines at this point, it will cost me more than double to travel on the 20th or 21st.
I am a single mom and can't afford to switch. I don't have a return flight with Allegiant because I had a discount with another airline that I used to make traveling during the holidays affordable for me. I'm just asking for either hotel accommodations, a similar price with another airline on 20th or 21st, or something to make up for the major change this is in our plans. I'd like to work something out that is fair to both of us since Allegiant changed their flight significantly. Thank you for considering this. Please call me if needed.

Family of four traveling to FL to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday last Sunday. Our early morning flight got canceled at 3am. No reason why?? On hold with customer service for 2.5 hours with customer service. There was no other flight out from that airport (ABE) until Thurs (4 days later). They will not help you book a flight on another airline. I also had to cancel my rental car because it was part of the bundle purchased through them. I booked a flight through another airline and a new rental car. Cost of rebooking a flight and car minus what Allegiant refunded us was $1K more. It gets better....Unfortunately we kept our return flight on Allegiant. There was a 6 hour delay. Not to mention I had to have someone drive me to the other airport in Trenton to retrieve my car. I left my condo on FL at 8am and got back to my house at 10pm. People had small children. Total nightmare.

It's fine if you expect no frills, long lines, horrible customer service and are on guard for getting nickel and dimed for every little thing. In fact if you are checking luggage you may be better off going with a major airline. The biggest issue with Allegiant is if your flight gets cancelled you'll likely not be booked on another flight for 3-7 days. Recently happened to us after waiting hours in line to get our bags checked. When we asked what the process was to rebook a flight, if we should stay at the airport and then the agent told us to get out of line and she wasn't a magician with answers. 10 seconds, one question, then given the boot.
No apology, no sharing of information, just get out of here and we may refund your money. I'm almost a million mile traveler on Delta and after all those flights I've never had an experience like I had with Allegiant. With Allegiant you may save a few dollars but be prepared for the worse, and be prepared to be stranded with no help.

I told her yes, I purchased my flight ticket just like everyone else. I am the last passenger to board the flight. The doors are shut and overhead bin has a lot of space left.
I asked her how am I being selfish and why are you being rude. PAULA said, "because you are a toddler who do not understand at once and I am being a mother to make you understand what I am saying by speaking like this." She approached my seat to close the overhead bin, she picked up the bag from passenger right behind my seat and said to her, while picking up her bag from her feet, "let me do (keep it in the overhead bin) it for you." I was stern at this and this made me feel discriminated. I told her I have food in my shopper and I feel disrespected towards my food keeping it by my feet. She yelled, "Okay then. Food is not allowed in the overhead bins. That's the policy."
I looked around all passengers in front of me had in TRANSPARENT BAGS not only food items, snacks but also big water bottles in the overhead bins. I was made highly uncomfortable, embarrassed in front of all passengers, Paula not only embarrassed me but also harassed me by leaning over and pointing her finger on my face in anger. Her yelling over me calling me selfish asking me if I have paid for it, calling me a toddler made my flight experience miserably horrific. She singled me out as all other passengers had their all personal items in the overhead bins (including water bottles and food items) giving them enough leg space for comfortable travel. She was extremely hateful towards me. I felt discriminated especially when she picked up the bag from feet of passenger behind me to put it in overhead bins.

SO TIRED OF THE TERRIBLE SERVICE I GET FROM ALLEGIANT. Seriously, with the technical advances we have, they can't figure out how to make their phone hold times less? They can't figure out the logistics of seat assignments for different planes? They can't make refunds automatic when they have to change seats for their customers. I paid for front row seats MONTHS in advance and they can't refund me without a 45 minute hold time when they took those seats away? It's worth more money to fly another airline than to deal with their TERRIBLE service.

And Kelly the “manager” couldn’t even manage her anger issues. Whoever put her in charge should definitely be ashamed. I was then charged twice for the service animal after doing my due diligence and calling the customer service to see if my SAID card would work. She said yes. Do not fly this airline. My experience with this airline and the routes I take is that they are regularly two hours delayed. A two hour delay is normal for this airline no matter the time of day or the time of year, and I have flown this airline where the delay has been four hours. The pilot, flight attendants, and gate agents all just shrug it off. Cost of a 75 minute, RT flight for two with one, shared overhead bag: $672. I can understand delays, the lack of service, and can even put up with some of the flight attendants who are extremely rude and coarse when getting a "good deal" but there is no value or benefit to flying Allegiant. I'm done with them. I'd rather drive the 8 hours on I-95 to get to my destination; it's cheaper, and I'll arrive before this airline touches ground at my destination airport.

I have flown many airlines over the years, and have never found an online system/application more cumbersome and confusing with added fees each step in the booking process and not always clear policies in terms of what you are booking and policies tied to it for potential cancel or change in flights. I recently had an experience in which we had unforeseen circumstances come up that resulted in canceling the trip less than 24 hours before departure. The first attempt in reaching customer service for help resulted in their system being down. I was informed they were not able to help me, and they did not know when their system would be back up. I was instructed to call back, but they couldn’t give me an estimated timeframe to call back.
Our home was several hours away from departure location, so we needed more prompt help. In calling back, I was informed they were unable to help me and that I would need to send an email to customer service. After completing that step, I was informed that they have policies and procedures in place that I should’ve been aware of at the time of booking, and they were not able to make any accommodations, even not a partial or full credit to fly allegiant in the future.
At time of booking, I found the system confusing and cumbersome. Prices that were advertised quickly added up with additional fees. The receipt I received did not indicate anything in terms of the unrealistic cancellation policy tied into the tickets purchased. We are now out all of our money for the trip. If you are able to avoid Allegiant and fly other airlines, I would highly recommend to avoid the same headaches with a cumbersome system, not helpful customer service, and really unrealistic cancellation policies for this day in age of flying.

Loving or hating any budget airline comes down to what you value. I value airlines that put their money in the right places. To me, Allegiant does that. If 10 boarding groups, little screens in seats that recline, complimentary beverages, and free carry-ons are worth a $300 markup to you, cool. You be you. I value timely departures, a spotless safety record, and an affordable way to see my family. The non-reclinable seats, to me, actually are a bonus, because there’s no drama, I think I actually have as much legroom as Delta, and perhaps even wider aisles.
Bottom line, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Allegiant — no major delays, lost luggage, stomach-churning turbulence, or rude flight attendants. Yes, you pay for “extras” like checked luggage and reserved seats (though you don’t really have to select seats in advance), but they don’t really hassle you about backpack size and it’s more affordable by a mile than major carriers (and the bundling system isn’t dubious as Frontier’s). We paid $200 (!) roundtrip for flights from Las Vegas to Grand Rapids, Michigan. No other airline comes close. And if you get an Allegiant credit card, guess what, you get priority boarding and free beverages, too (pro tip — add your family to the card, and they get free drinks, too).

I was very excited about the flight to Jacksonville to meet my first grandchild who was born on Tuesday, April 16. I came early before the Allegiant counter reps came out. When I came up to the counter, probably to read the signs, A lady asked me if I was flying Allegiant, and where I was going. I told her that I was going to Jacksonville, and she said she was going there too. She said that she was from Afghanistan, and her English wasn't the best. She asked me if I would help her. I was happy to help since we were going to the same place, even though my plan was to hang out at the USO eating chips and drinking soda as I am a veteran's spouse. We both sat down until the counter reps came out and the line began to form. I checked in online before getting to the airport, so I checked my bag first. Then I stepped over to help the passenger from Afghanistan.
While we were in line, I asked her if she had her boarding pass, and she only showed me her reservation, and I saw that she hadn't checked in yet. So, I tried to walk her through the steps to checkin online on her phone like I did. This took a while because I tried to explain step by step, and there were a lot of steps involved to check in. The check-in was interrupted when it was my turn at the counter. So we had to start over. The check-in was interrupted again when she got a phone call. So we had to start over again. It was very important for her to check in online to avoid the $75 charge for the 2nd bag she wanted to check. She preferred to pay the lower charge, $30, offered online.
I tried explaining this to the Allegiant counter reps hoping that they would somehow make an exception, save her the trouble, and just let her pay the $30 at the counter... Instead of making an exception, they began questioning me and asking the passenger from Afghanistan about me. She told them several times that I was there to help. The counter reps were rude to me and overreaching. They reported me to security! The reps lied, reporting to security that I wouldn't allow her to talk to them. The passenger I helped spoke to the counter reps the whole time. I was just standing there to help and repeatedly trying to walk her through the check-in process on her phone.
One of the reps tried to force me to render my boarding pass and ID unnecessarily. The passenger I helped explained several times that I was helping her. She apologized to me, the security officer who questioned me also apologized to me, however, the counter reps continued their weird behavior, taking pictures of me, and writing notes about me when I boarded the plane. It was unbelievable!
I asked the passenger a couple of times if she still needed my help, and she said yes, so I stayed, since I said I would help. I was relieved when the counter reps finally checked her bags even though they did so by taking her phone and forcing her to download the app and on top of that also forced her to pay $5 for the boarding pass... I would think that she could access the boarding pass through the app. Anyways, I felt very uncomfortable and undervalued as a customer. I felt falsely accused of something I didn't do. It's still hard to believe, and it hurts a bit to be treated like a criminal when you're only trying to help someone.
Allegiant Response. "Wow, I am really sorry to hear about your experience, but thank you for letting us know. All of our team members are expected to be professional, respectful, and assist however they can. We truly regret that your experience contrasted with this. This is without a doubt the most rude and incompetent airline in existence. I have flown many different airlines across the years, including cheap airlines like Spirit, and Allegiant simply is not worth the money — no matter how cheap the flight, it is severely over-priced because this airline is garbage. On this occasion, I had to change my flight so I could leave a day earlier and I waited hours upon hours for someone to answer my call. Then this incompetent man, at some call center ex-US, disconnects me. I have to repeat the entire process, more hours spent waiting for someone to answer. I was on the phone all day, literally.
So I finally get my flight changed and the incompetent man charges me to change the flight, despite that I had paid extra to be able to change my flight. So the incompetent man issues a credit to me for a future flight instead of a refund. But wait, it gets worse… Fast forward to my flight day and I am getting notices about my original flight, not the flight that I am headed to the airport for. So I go into the Allegiant app to see what is going on and even though I have a boarding pass for the new flight I am still booked on the old flight. Obviously a 9-year old can see the problem in this, but the incompetent Allegiant customer service rep cannot. So I attempt to cancel the the incorrect flight and I get a pop-up. It tells me it is too late to make changes and to call a special “back door” phone number. Here it is for you: 702-637-7038.
My call is answered right away but by this time I am in my car headed to the airport. The agent, who is in the US, tells me that I am not actually on the flight that I am headed to the airport to board! I did mention that I have a boarding pass, right? Tell me how that happened! So she straightens everything out for me. She also tells me that the voucher the incompetent man emailed to me is unusable. So she sends a credit voucher that looks completely different. OMG. Now since I had a credit on Allegiant, I had to dreadfully fly with them one more time. But never will I ever fly with this lousy airline again. So this time around, everyone that I communicate at Allegiant via phone or email about my accommodation as a disabled person is EXTREMELY RUDE, JUST NASTY. And as a disabled person they gave me an extremely hard time about accommodating my medical needs both in seat assignment and in bringing a medical device on board.
They refused to assign a seat to me even though their website states that they will. I had to threaten them three times with going to the authorities — they attempted to lie to me and tell me that they are complying with all applicable laws. I told them that I know my rights and I would not let them get away with violating them. Finally the agent assigned my seat in the last row of the plane just to be insolent. I previously had told them over and over that I had to be in an aisle seat far forward to accommodate my disability. I even gave them the reasons why, which I am not required to disclose by law.
I am contacting the Department of Transportation to file a complaint. I have flown a lot and used many different airlines. My request for accommodation as a disabled person has always been met with prompt polite service. Until I traveled on Allegiant. What a bad business. I hope they fail. I will be using Spirit Airlines instead. It was a night and day difference flying Spirit. Spirit airline is VERY professional and VERY polite.

I decided to go on a last-minute trip to celebrate a close friend's birthday. Allegiant had last-minute flights for a good price (I had never flown with them prior to this and had paid for a departure flight). Several things happened regarding my flight. My flight was originally scheduled for 5:53 pm and was delayed until 6:53 pm and then last-minute changed to 6:03 pm. I attempted to check in online and pay for my bag, but the site kept coming up with an error whenever I tried to pay. Cool. I got to the airport only to be told that the gate was closed. I was clearly confused as to why the gate was closed. The representative, with whom I was not originally speaking, entered the conversation rudely, saying the gate was closed and she wasn't able to open it. I explained to her that I was there on time, so why was the gate closed?
She kept mentioning that I should've been there 2 hours early despite the fact that I was there early enough to make my flight (this is an extremely small airport). After going back and forth with her, I walked away and asked someone at the airport for assistance. They managed to get the supervisor (to my surprise, I had requested the supervisor numerous times and was told by the same lady that I needed to talk to her). Thankfully, someone who works at the airport got in touch with two of the supervisors who came from the back to assist. The supervisor printed my boarding pass and informed me that the flight was oversold and that is why she closed the gate. He also added numerous other things but stated he wanted me to get to my flight and didn't want to waste any more of my time; however, he assured me that the lady was wrong and that the gate should've never been closed. Cool, fast forward.
I boarded and as soon as the aircraft pulled off from the gate, we immediately went back to the gate due to a maintenance issue on the aircraft. We were told that we would be switching aircraft, which should take about 45 minutes. We all exited the aircraft and waited for hours for an update. Whenever we asked, we were told that they did not have any updates. Around 9:05 pm, we were told the flight was canceled (yes, 3 hours later). I went to speak with another representative regarding a flight due to being in an urgency to get home for a immediate family member's surgery. The representative informed me that the next flight they had available was on Thursday. She mentioned that they had a flight the next morning in Tampa which would've required me to drive 2-3 hours. I asked them if they would cover rental, I was told no.
They gave us an option of a $150 voucher or a virtual cash card (they were unaware of the amount that we would get). Again, I explained the urgency of me needing a sooner flight. The representative was nonchalant and basically said there is nothing they can do other than the credit and rebook me for a Thursday flight. So desperately needing to get home, I started to search for last-minute flights which were about $1000-$1600. I was able to get a flight the next day leaving out of MCO. Still unaware of how much the virtual cash that we were supposed to get back, and having to purchase a NEW flight due to needing to get home, on top of having to pay $72 for an Uber ride to the other airport, I was left stuck unsure of what to do. I ended up having to pay for a room (my flight was the next day at 3:36 pm), spend $72 on an Uber ride, and a last-minute flight (see above for price range).
My virtual cash came through, which was only $200! I have been contacting Allegiant because I need to be reimbursed and accommodated! The first representative I spoke with told me it wasn't the airline's issue and that the flight was canceled due to "weather"putting blame on something else to not be held accountable. After I ensured him it was not weather-related, he disconnected the phone call and the call dropped. The second person I spoke with was able to provide me with accurate information and was understanding that something needs to be done; however, the call got "dropped". After a 3rd call, I was able to speak with a supervisor name Ramel who acknowledge that this was definitely a allegiant issue but just to be told the only compensation that would be given was the $200 that all passengers received.
I've spent close to $1000 due to Allegiant's inconvenience and they refuse to pay even after acknowledging that this is an airline issue! This was my first time booking with them and will be my last time! I have never experienced this with any other airline. Please do not fly with them, they do NOT take care of their passengers whatsoever. Many of the passenger on the aircraft have said that Allegiant has canceled many of their flights before and does nothing about the inconvenience. After all the "extras" which are simply just humane things complimentary by all other airlines, I at least hope to be somewhat comfortable. My flight is delayed for the 2nd time with no explanation. The Southwest flight scheduled to the same city left on time. I checked on FlightAware and see the plane we are using has been here for a full day. Why is this happening? I will not be flying Allegiant again. This is not the first time I have experienced delays from their Airline and I should've known better. Next time I will be flying any other airline, since with the "add-ons" it is more expensive to fly Allegiant anyway. Looks like a lot of folks feel the same way, as this airline has terrible reviews. Allegiant spent millions in branding/marketing for that new Stadium in Vegas sporting their name, but can't have a flight depart on time or allow for seats with headrests.

Terrible customer service! I came an hour before boarding and if you know the Provo airport you know that is way early. I went to add a checked bag to my flight and no employees were at the ticket counter so I waited 20 minutes to see if an employee would show up and nothing. So I decided to go through security and just pay the full fee for my bag and got to the gate and they said they closed the boarding gate 2 minutes prior and wouldn’t allow it to open. So basically showed up an hour early and missed a flight due to terrible customer service, then I was hoping that they would reimburse or and least help on the next flight and nope. They refused to even help with anything. I’m a pretty nice dude and hate arguing with people about anything and was trying to be very kind about it, but I’m very unimpressed. Long story short, I was arrested for assault as a badge is considered property in Florida and I was not allowed to travel on their airline. I wish I could give this airline less stars and 1. Terrible customer service. After buying a whole ticket for my dog and going through all the necessary steps given to me BY THE AIRLINE to ensure he gets on the plane, he is denied at the gate. I began to tell the women working for me that I had everything he needed to fly when I was very rudely cut off by a woman at a completely different counter. At first all she said was “NO” over and over again. I would try and talk to the other woman who was helping me, but I couldn’t get one word out without the woman at the other booth screaming at me.
I am a 17 year old girl with bad PTSD who gets support from her dog. Being screamed at and berated by this woman broke my heart and right there I broke down and began to sob uncontrollably, to which she just scoffed and rolled her eyes. There was only one sweet girl who was telling the flight attendant to just let me and my dog on, all the flight attendants argued for a bit, but she was quickly screamed at and told to shut up by the previous women who wouldn't stop screaming, "No." I ended up calling my mother to get my dog as me boarding the flight was non-negotiable. I still hadn't stopped crying after getting through security and walking to my gate.
As I was approaching a seat, still crying, one of the flight attendants from before came over and stopped me. She then proceeded to take me far away from the other passengers to a seat facing the wall stating that “the other passengers didn’t need to see me crying like this or they’ll get nosey.” It was clear to me that they just didn’t want people to know what I had just gone through with them. I still am upset when I think about this. How the flight attendants clearly took advantage over me and disregarded my feelings and existence is horrible and it sickens me. I will never be flying Allegiant ever again. Plus the seats feel like cardboard and there’s no legroom, I’m 5 ft tall so being able to notice a lack of legroom and being uncomfortable is insane.

The manager was super rude & unprofessional. I went back to the bag counter & this blonde just treated me like a loiterer when I was trying to get my refund & told me to leave the counter. Not only did these generic Charlie’s night banshees ruin my vacation & my business trip, I was inconvenienced my 10 year vacation that took weeks to plan along with hundreds of dollars for hotels with no resolution other than ”Your money is forfeited” from their customer service rep. Who clearly had no idea what she was doing after an excruciating painful wait time on hold. I had to wait hours for a cab because it was after a Packer game & they were the only cab in town.
I emailed their customer service and got the same canned response. I asked repeatedly for a legal representation which they constantly dodged. Worst experience ever. I do not plan on, or recommend flying with this company ever. It’s the same as if not more than Southwest or American that don’t charge for seats and don’t charge for a checked bag. Allegiant is also charging for a carry on bag including your purse!!! I won’t fly Allegiant anymore. Southwest is more comfortable somehow and cheaper to fly!!! Allegiant is a no frills airline. In that capacity, they are okay. If you are elderly and/or disabled DO NOT fly on Allegiant unless you have someone traveling with you! It took so long for someone to take pity on me and push me to baggage claim that my bag had already been stowed in the baggage office which was locked and NO ONE was around to open the office for me to get my luggage. I paid $75 to have my bag flown (one of their many upgrades) and have been without my bag for 2 days. It has ALL my medicines in it. They would not deliver it to me and when I drove the 50 miles to go get it at 10:30 in the morning, they were closed yet again.
Another 100 mile RT and still no bag. They failed to tell me they would not be open even though I conveyed what time I would be coming. Their customer service is nonexistent! I have flown Allegiant 4 times in 3 weeks- same personal item (backpack) each time with no issues. On my 5th flight I went to board and the gate agent said I needed to talk to another one of the gate agents - not knowing why? I was asked to put my bag in their measuring device / it was overstuffed a little and she said, "You have to pay $75 now or you won’t get on the plane." I was flabbergasted. I explained I purchased this this backpack for exactly this reason and made sure it was in their personal item measurement requirements. Her comment to me was - "Well I guess you are just lucky for the the 1st 4 flights and saved money." I was shocked and very mad. Paid for the carryon so I didn’t miss my flight - Mad and frustrated - got in my seat, tested the size of my backpack and it fit under my seat in front of me, but put it in the overhead bin, since they made me pay $75 for a space in the bin.
Let’s just say- the flight was not full, we waited on the tarmac 45 minutes to take off, because they had to check everyone’s boarding pass individually again because individuals had not shown up for the flight, and top it off the overhead bins were 1/2 full. To me that tells you that maybe Allegiant should either raise their fares to cover carry-on luggage and stop Nickel & diming consumers by charging for each seat, carry-ons, and bottles of water. So the fee they made me pay was more than my flight- how is that even right? To finish off my trip I had one more leg of my flight the next day. I checked in with the same backpack and no issues whatsoever. So Allegiant needs to get their stuff straight. For the Employees' demeanor and un-professionalism I will not be flying with Allegiant anytime soon.

In the Albany Airport the drill is bring the locked case to the counter of the airline you are flying, whoever is working the counter calls TSA, TSA agent arrives, I open the locked case and then the TSA agent calls one of the Albany County sheriffs and both look at my drivers license and my pistol license as I fill out a TSA card and sign it, the signed card goes in the case and I lock it, receive a baggage claim ticket and the locked case goes with all bags.

Don’t fly with this airline. Terrible experience! We encountered several customer service issues flying with this airline. First, we didn’t receive a notification that the flight was running late until we were already checked into the airport. We found out later from others that they had known about the delay for over 2 hours prior! I believe the DOT requires a 30 minute notice from when the airline finds out. That didn’t happen.
Then the flight continued to delay further and further by 1 hour increments without any info what was going on until 4 hours into the delay. Normally this would be tolerable, but we were traveling with our 4 kids including a newborn. We called customer service and were told they can’t do anything for us and to contact their e-mail line. We talked to the front desk and said that they won’t do anything unless the flight is delayed by 8 or more hours! We talked to the gate attendants and they said they couldn’t help us because corporate controls all customer service actions. No meal voucher, no credits, no refunds, nothing to help the situation. We contacted Allegiant via email and we’re notified they would get back to us in a few days.
The flight was finally delayed all the way to 6 hours. We were supposed to leave at 3:50pm, we are now leaving after 10pm. So I don’t believe for a second that it’s due to weather. Did salt lake airport have to cancel any of their flights? What about the other flights landing in Provo today? Why didn’t those get cancelled as well? This was all after they delayed the flight for almost 2 1/2 hours making it impossible to rebook for another flight same day. Now we have to rent a car and fly out tomorrow from a different airport on a different airline for way more money than we are getting reimbursed for this flight because Allegiant doesn’t have another flight out from this current airport until Thursday (it’s Sunday today).
On top of that, because we had to book flights last minute, my family (my husband, me, our 4 year old, and our 9 month old) can’t seat together because there aren’t enough available seats next to each other on this other last minute flight we had to book. I want Allegiant to reimburse us for the rental car and the difference in price it is costing us to fly from a different airline. This is ridiculous. What is up with all of the airlines, like southwest, that keep cancelling flights and can’t get their crap together?? This is all on top of my husband and I both having to miss an extra day of work and lose out on that money as well.

Had a 5 hour delay from Chicago to Punta Gorda as they said it was a transponder malfunction on the plane. 5 HOURS delay on our way back to Chicago. Guess what. Another 2 hour delay for the same issue.

- After arriving, she waited over two hours for a "paid" check baggage, with no communication at all on eta or reason from Allegiant staff
- She had been picked up by a mother with a baby, so they had to call it a night after 2.5 hrs.
- A passenger wandered out to the Tarmac to see if he could get info about what was going on.d crew, that Allegiant was short staffed, and they had no ETA
- At no time did Allegiant send a message to my daughter through Text or the App (even though you have her information, and knew she checked a bag (#**).- With no information, and with no one at Allegiant Airport picking up the phone or calling us back (we left messages) the communication was completely irresponsible and non-sympathetic to the passenger schedules (like college classes).
- I called twice myself and no one returned calls.
- She went back, paid for transportation there on the next day, Jan 4th, but no one from Allegiant was there (couldn't you pay for 1 staff to be there to hand out luggage?)- She found airport staff who said they couldn't help, but to come back on Friday the 5th at 9am or 2pm when Allegiant had a flight and therefore staff.
- Turns out there was no flight in the afternoon, but we were lucky and we stumbled onto that fact, no thanks to Allegiant, so she went in the morning.
- Why couldn't Allegiant take action to at least communicate? To deliver the baggage would have been even more helpful, even it was for a fee. Why not use the system which knows she checked a bag? Why didn't someone the night of the Arrival come tell the passengers "we had an accident, we are short staffed, Allegiant doesn't offer services (or care) so come back when we have a flight so that you can stand in line and have an agent help you get your luggage that we will hang on to for 2 days and have you at our convenience come get it, taking a chance on when you arrive because we don't communicate because walking to the waiting customers or sending an email or text is too expensive.
- Please let me know what happened, and why. This was VERY stressful for our young student who didn't have her luggage, clothes, etc and didn't have a ride and was dealing with school.

Ridiculous wait times. Tells you to call during off peak hours for a shorter wait time so I call at 9 pm... 3+ HOURS on hold so far. I don't even know if they will change the name on the ticket without charging me yet. Extra $ for bags, extra for a CARRY-ON (yes, $30 for a carry on bag.) And if your $30 checked bag is over 40 lbs (not 50 lbs like other airlines) it's another $50. Ridiculous.

(I couldn’t pay for the CARRy ON luggage in the app due to technical issues and when I used the app I was charged $17 for the carry on luggage, at the airport was 3 times the price.)

The company has no ethics or consideration for the consumer. Do you think that 50 for 4 seats will change the company's results?

We were very excited Allegiant was coming to Bishop Airport in Flint MI. We purchased tickets immediately. Covid started so we had to postpone our flight. I have a medical condition with documentation by my physician that states I'm unable to wear a mask. Our tickets expired before the mask mandate was lifted. I contracted Allegiant multiple times and included my physician's note, no response. I feel like they discriminated against me because of my medical condition, all I was requesting was to reschedule my airfare. They couldn't even be bothered to respond and I lost my money.

I am currently on flight 543 that was suppose to leave from Nashville at 4:46pm. We did not leave until almost 6pm. We arrived in Grand Rapids around 7:30pm. The pilot told us we may have to circle around because of the weather or go to a nearby airport and wait until the weather clear up. Well after 10 minutes we left and went right back into the sky. Nobody said why. After 15 minutes the pilot says we are going to Indiana to fuel up and wait until the weather clears up. After that nothing. Another 10-15 minutes he says we will arrive in about 60 miles (what is that I don't know). We arrived. They let us off the plane. We waited 2 hours.
By this time my nephew who arrived at 6:30pm to pick me up from Muskegon advised the weather was clear. I went to the desk and asked what we were waiting on. He said for another person to come in at 10pm. This pilot came at 10 pm. We got on the plane at 10:30pm.. It is now 12:50 am and we are still on the plane. We have to ask for updates. They have gave us 10 different waiting reasons. Even waiting for fuel was a reason. Mind you this is the reason we came to Indiana 4 hours ago. I asked one of the workers name Hillary for an update. She rolled her eyes at me and walked away.
I have a 6 year old and a teenager starving. Had to ask for water and a snack. They gave us some small pretzels. This airline is a disaster. I have never ever experienced such lies/broken promises and made up reasons to wait. Now my ride has left after 6.5 hours of waiting because he had to work at 2am. So when I arrive to Grand Rapids I have to figure out a ride to Muskegon in the am with a toddler and teenager. I hate this place right now.

No refunds, credit or reschedule. I tried to explain this ticket was from pandemic and I have legit paperwork from the police that I was robbed for all my money. A victim of a very large scandal that thankfully I was smart enough to unravel so no one else had to become victim but lost everything including my airfare. :(:(:(

Allegiant has cancelled 3 of our flights just this year. Since they offer so few flights and don't code share with other airlines, you are left stuck having to purchase very expensive last minute fares on other airlines. They just did it to us again for Thanksgiving week. Our flight was cancelled 8 days before the trip with no explanation. We had the privilege of spending $800 more for holiday travel since it was pretty last minute. Whatever savings you think you are getting upfront by a budget airlines will bite you in the rear since you will spend far more due to all their cancelled flights. We will no longer risk it. When I have called customer service, they said that is the risk you take and why they are so cheap. Grrr.

In the last 3 weeks I have had 3 terrible encounters with Allegiant. I am not one to usually leave bad reviews when the circumstances are generally out of their control but I think this needs to be known by future travelers. On a flight from Orange County to Provo and as we were about to take off the captain announced that there were negative weather conditions in Provo so they would try to land but “it’s not looking good”. So as they were about to land in Provo they began to ascend and then said “We won’t be able to land, we are diverting to Mesa, AZ”. Ugh. So we get to Mesa Gateway and basically they just kicked everyone off the plane and said “You can book another flight on the app or rebook with another airline.” Uh, the next flight back to Provo was 3 days later, it was almost midnight and there were mother other airlines from that tiny airport.
Two hundred people on that flight were displaced to AZ and Allegiant did nothing to help any of them. Some of them were younger teens traveling alone and lots of families just coming from Disney. I had to book a flight out of Phoenix the next day and paid 349 for one way. Between the 349 fare, the hotel that night and the Uber fares I was out almost $500. ALLEGIANT DID NOTHING but give me a voucher for a later flight. No other airline would have handled this in such a manner. It was so inconsiderate. Not to mention that my husband who was waiting for me in Provo was never able to get a straight answer from any customer service person about where my plane was. He has no idea where I was until I called him.
Fast forward to 4 days ago… we have had Disney trip planned for months. We get a notice that the Provo-SNA flight was cancelled. So we scramble to rebook a one way flight to get there, of course paying 3 times the fare. Two days later, they cancel the SNA to Provo flight back!! Seriously?? So after now booking another one way flight to get home we have paid THREE TIMES THE FARE so that we can maintain our plans and not lose all our other deposits. I get cancellations happen for lots of reasons, but there should be some compensation for so much inconvenience especially this time of year. What’s going on ALLEGIANT?? This has been the most frustration and inconsiderate experience I have ever had with an airline. Truly, I won’t be using them again. There is too much other worthy competition.

We have flown Allegiant Air many times over the years. I will go out of my way to fly with this airline, even over Delta. I don't know how they continue to offer such low fares flying mostly into their own small airports such as Clearwater-St Pete & Phoenix-Mesa. Our recent trip was from Toledo to Phoenix-Mesa. Two tickets with upgrades came to $252 in total. Get serious. If we would have driven to Detroit-DTW and flown with Delta it would have been over $1,000. The arrival and depart times were during the day and not red-eye like Delta. Very clean and modern planes. The staff is always pleasant.

September 4th my husband passed away, then Hurricane Ian hit my area in Florida. I was one of the lucky ones, I can still live in my house, but need a new roof, new ceilings in Great Room and Kitchen plus outside trees and shrubs look like a war zone. I call customer service for 2 days and could not get through. After research I found another number, got in touch with customer service. I was on the phone for 51 minutes and ended paying $100.00 plus a deposit. They told me they paid to a car rental company. They gave me 2 vouchers, would not refund my late husband's money. I understand not mine. Most uncompassionate company I ever dealt with.

Myself and another passenger had a flight booked for today, October 3, 2022 to Ft. Myers, Fl. today. My house was completely destroyed, I talked to an agent regarding what to do, and I was told that unless the airline, Allegiant, cancelled it themselves I would still be charged for the flight. I checked the status of the Ft. Myers airport RSW, and the airport is still closed today. So no commercial flights could land. Allegiant airlines is still going to charge me for the flights, even though the airport is closed.

Always looking for ways to steal people's money, I am disabled and on social security. You are the scum of the earth. Treat people the way you want to be treated. You have been reported!!!
