I booked a car in advance for 5 days and due to a flight delay I was 2 hrs late for the pick up time. Well my car was gone and the only available cars at the time were 5 times the cost of our original agreement. It looks like the old bait and switch technique is alive and well. Caution when booking here….

This company is a total scam! We booked them through Expedia and paid $82 but when we got there, the charge was $570 without the toll pass! I called the police and the police did show up, and they told me there wasn’t anything they could do, and told me that they are called there almost nightly with the same complaint. Don’t ever use this company! Thank goodness for Mauricio ** at Victory Rent-A-Car in the same building. He charged me $380 which included all my tolls! He was my savior.

I rented from this company 2 months ago and have yet to receive my security deposit back!!! Don’t book with them, I’ve tried calling. They never answer the phone and they will hang up on you for trying to ask about it.

Liars and scammers .... Avoid this so called car rental place and their 2 other car rental places that all are off site. I reserved 9 days in advance and got an email confirmation with nothing other than confirmation number... No address, no directions on how or where to go (you have to take 2 buses as they are not at the airport... Not even their name and there is absolutely no signage at the airport... I had to ask real reputable car rental companies where they are ... They kind of laughed and now I know why) or details about the rental.

They will charge you extra because my own insurance from Geico wasn't enough. I had to pay $200 extra for insurance. They charge you extra for cleaning. Their office is located far from the airport, need to take two different shuttles from the airport.

I reserved the car online. Difficult to get to in Las Vegas. They charged more at the desk than the online reservation. I will never rent from them again. Very unprofessional. Very disappointing. People will learn

My wife agreed to online rental rate which equated to a cost of approximately $70. At Fort Lauderdale airport we went to the designated shuttle location. We waited 1.5 hours for shuttle which never arrived. Listed number not answered. We ended up Ubering to their listed 'location'. Upon entering found six other customers complaining about being mandated to pay for $500K liability coverage for their rentals when trying to use their own insurance. One guy had a mix of $250K liability and $250K collision. $500K total. Not accepted. Personally, I've always had my proof of insurance on me and accepted by other rental car companies. NOT this company. All of us ended up having to pay the liability Ins extortion amount to get a car or go somewhere else. I told them their practices were intentionally deceptive or they would not see the volume of customers complaining.

This is a rip off scam company. They lure you with a lowball price that has no place in reality. After waiting nearly 3 hours in line and showing full coverage insurance. They informed me that they don’t take outside insurance and wanted to bill me over $150 extra per day. This was the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. The best advice I can give would be to just stay far away from this company.

It's the first time I used Advantage in the last two decades, and the experience was horrible, never ever has similar experience anywhere on the earth. This company should be out of business. I believe it sets up everyone when possible. I booked a car at Priceline with $141, My flight was delayed so I was delayed around one hour by the time I was at the counter. I was told the car I booked not available anymore and I need to pay $437 for a similar replacement. People in front of me, during my conversation with the staff, and people came after me, NO ONE got what they booked, everyone was very upset. The staff attitude were very bad, basically "take it or leave it!" No one got his or her rental during around one hour when I was there. From what i experienced and observed, I believe it was NOT accidental but a well-planned setup, So NEVER EVER use Advantage!!!! This kind of company should be legally punished sooner or later!

I was quoted a Final Price on Priceline (In all of my years I have never had an issue unless You opt for add on's that will be your price) Not with Advantage. I was forced to take additional ins that double my original price. With the help of a rude agent. I will never use Advantage AGAIN!!

I was forced to have their insurance coverage which added an extra $75. I was able to transfer my car insurance to the rental which fully covered their car and they still said I needed theirs. I bought all my documentations proof of insurance, and I asked my insurance carrier if their car was gonna be fully protected using my own car insurance and the answer was yes. I emailed them. I called them. They never responded. Hopefully I never have to rent from them again and would not recommend nobody go to them.

I rented a car for my daughter to join us for Christmas, they forced her to take an upgraded vehicle, they added every charge possible, just kept telling her to initial hear. Initial here initial here, the car ended up costing us four times. What was quoted. When I called customer service they said there was nothing that could be done. Never again!

I rent a car online to the Orlando location. Once I got there, because I am a Florida resident, they requested $750 deposit and 3 bills with my address. I didn't have all the bills so I had to cancel. They are not located in the airport, so I had to get take a shuttle back to the airport and find a car on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The customer service was bad and the whole experience was a nightmare!!! Don't go by the price, it cost me 3 times more for last minute reservation, because of them!

Firstly, this company has much hidden cost. Avoid it! They also have rating of F on BBB. They received numerous complaints on BBB website. Avoid this company Advantage! I am writing to report an unfair rental car issue involving Advantage. They forced us to purchase their insurance protection plan, which was unnecessary. We rented a passenger vehicle from Advantage from December 13, 2024, to December 21, 2024 near the Orland Airport in FL. At the rental office, we informed the customer service representative at the front desk that our insurance carrier provides coverage for rental cars, including roadside assistance, collision damage, and more. However, the representative refused to accept our insurance coverage and insisted that we purchase the insurance offered by Advantage, which also included roadside assistance and collision damage. This additional insurance cost me a total of $247.84.

Avoid this business, they are SCAMMERS! I rented a car in Las Vegas and returned it the same day at night with full tank. Surprisingly, they charged me $270 for fuel services. There is no picture or data showing the car needed gas. When I called them, they said I returned the car with the gas tank empty. I have the receipt from my credit card showing I put gas on it before returning and I only used 1/4 of a tank. Take pictures of everything before and after returning your car.

Advantage uses deceptive pricing practices to lure customers to their company. I was quoted $235.63 for an 8 day rental. After they told me I could not use my EzPass for tolls & tacked on roadside assistance without my knowledge the final cost of the rental was $346.81. That is more than 1/3 of the quote I received & more than $100 of additional costs. Advantage said that because they are off airport property I could not use my EzPass for tolls & said if I did they would hit me with a $55 penalty for every toll plus the toll even though I would have paid the toll using my transponder. I was not able to verify the veracity of this. Last time I went to Orlando in October I rented a car from Budget & used my transponder with no issues. I am not convinced that they were telling me the truth & nailed me for over $100 from their original quote for the rental. I will NEVER rent a car from these crooks again!

Advantage rental car takes advantage. I rented through Expedia. Car was off site. When I got here they said I was over 2 hours late and the rental expired. Taking advantage of travelers during the holiday. One person said 4 hours, the other person said 2… I was 2.5 hours after my reservation. The agent was confusing and did not give me paperwork to review. Just rattled off stuff. I thought I was signing that tolls were included with the rental not an extra charge. I showed them insurance for collision. They charged me for supp liability but never asked me. Have car insurance, why would I pay again. Same for road side assistance. I have these covered with my insurance. I didn’t receive paperwork. When I returned the vehicle, I received the receipt after I left the rental car place. I called numerous times and agents would not help, refund or let me talk with a supervisor. I felt taken advantage of by advantage.

I chose Advantage Car rental for their prices! And a variety of cars available. They also offer shuttle services from the airport to the rental car location. Enjoy your trip! Francisco was helpful for me.

“The front desk staff was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. At one point during our conversation, one of them even suggested that I rent a car from another rental company. After a few minutes, I requested to speak with the manager, but he refused to call the manager and also declined to provide his own name. I do not recommend this location at all.”

Do not rent from this company. They make you take insurance which you don’t need. They charge me an extra hundred dollars with my insurance would’ve covered me. Paid a little extra go to a bigger name company. You will not regret it. Beware of this place.

I had a receipt for my rental for $63.84 total charges from Car Rental Savers. I declined any insurance charges as I have my own insurance. Rental agent then tried to charge me over $400.00! I objected and then she lowered the charge a little bit. After much distress and showing the receipt to her, she again acted like she was doing me a favor and lowered the charge a little bit more. I was tired, frustrated and angry with such horrible treatment by such a "con". I showed my insurance declaration page from my insurance company, receipt from Car Rental Savers. She wore me down. I finally gave up. Was then charged $169.15. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental agency. I should be refunded the overcharge of $105.31 at the least.

They are a scam, I was charged an extra 150 dollars for returning my car two hours early, not late but early. They refuse to refund me. Once they have your credit card number you're screwed. They add what they want. Be careful, go with a reputable Company.

Anthony in PR, was so helpful, very nice. We were in and out in 15 minutes. It was a new car. It was clean, and ready to go. Anthony even gave us great places to go, we didn't make it to all of them but the 2 places we did go to were great. I would definitely use Advantage again And plan to next trip to Puerto Rico.

Invoice an hour after dropping the car. I was charged almost $100 dollars. After calling their call center the customer service rep said that the car had a quarter gas tank and that was wrong. I would never rent from Advantage Rent a Car anymore and I don’t recommend them to anyone.

ADVANTAGE ORLANDO FL...DO NOT RENT here...OFF TERMINAL SITE. SMALL. CRAMPED. I went cheap, I got what I paid for. CHEAP RENTAL PER DAY BUT MANDATORY INSURANCE AT TWICE THE DAILY RENTAL RATE OF THE CAR-RIP OFF. Took shuttle back to airport and rented from on site car rental company...hrs waiting ...and then got ripped off by FL Toll system...No cash...No humans...Welcome to the land of the Mouse.

While waiting to get a car rental the employees at this location were very accommodating and personal. The place is small and a bit uncomfortable and the employees still manage to use a low tone of voice for privacy purposes and serve to the best of their ability. For some of us coming from the states it was good to hear and speak both languages (English and Spanish) to best understand the service we were being rendered. 5+ stars to Anthony, Natasha and Javier. Love them, love them for their beautiful attention towards us.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, run, don’t walk but run out of this place. DO NOT RENT from them. They run up your tab and false advertisement on website. There is no 24 hour drop off, you will miss your flight if you want to return your rental past 8pm. They have no drop box, this place had no designated safe lock box to drop off the key. I was told by a police officer to drop off my he car at the airport for safety reasons and I did. The next morning I called to notify them and they said I should’ve left the car in front of location with key inside with crack heads standing on the corner at 3am. They were angry that I safely parked the vehicle at the airport 5 min away from them. Almost missed my flight circling for 1 hour before I dropped it off at airport. Instead of thanking me they said I should’ve left the car with the key inside in a crack head infested block. Never again

**Terrible Experience – Hidden Charges!** I recently rented a car, expecting to pay $150 as per my booking. To my shock, I was charged $400 upon returning the car! There were no clear explanations for this price hike, and customer service was completely unhelpful when I tried to resolve the issue. It feels like a scam with hidden fees and charges that were never disclosed upfront. I strongly advise anyone considering renting from this company to steer clear. It's simply not worth the stress and unexpected costs!

Be warned and DO NOT RENT your car here!! Read the many comments before you rent. Our price doubled after they added a Sunpass fee even after explaining that we were Florida residents and owned a Sunpass already. They also charged a $750 deposit which is outrageous! They made us wait for a car 3 hours because we were late 30 minutes and wanted to charge more to upgrade to another car because they had rented the car we reserved. They advertise unlimited mileage yet they say we can’t go over 250 miles per day. Save your money and go with a reputable company that offers great customer service and is transparent about their prices!
