Hello. I wanted to thank you for your prompt refund. It did take me some time to gather all the documents you needed but once I had them handy it was easy to upload and you honored your commitment to the policy. Thank you so much because having the insurance really takes the worry off of losing money on travel arrangements made far in advance, and as we know, life happens!!

Claim process straightforward and uncomplicated. Courteous customer service when I needed to contact them. I received my claim check within ten business days of claim being approved. I will definitely purchase this travel protection insurance next time I fly. I am very satisfied with my experience.

The total experience was much less complicated than I had anticipated. I feel the claim was processed in a timely manner but I was not given the option to have my refund returned to my credit card rather than having to wait on a check. Overall, the experience was positive.

I rented a car for a trip in Italy and purchased a supplemental insurance policy with Allianz. I caused minor damage to the vehicle and contacted Allianz and forwarded the information to them. Within two weeks Allianz issued me a check for the claim. Their customer service was excellent and the process was quick. Thank you.

My experience with my travel cancellation with Allianz was excellent. My wife, son, and I were traveling to my sister in law's memorial. My son developed a medical condition and could not make the trip. The Allianz website easily explained how to fill out and submit the travel cancellation form and what type of documents needed to be included. This was fairly simple. Afterwards, the review and receipt of the reimbursement check was quick. Great job!

I purchased this travel insurance policy with a bit of skepticism. However, when we actually had to cancel our trip due to my elderly father’s illness, I was pleasantly surprised and shocked at the prompt and satisfactory resolution to my claim. Our Amtrak train was twelve hours late owing to a collision with a vehicle and also because of an equipment problem in the sleeper car.. As a result we had to sleep in the departing station waiting room and missed our appointment at our destination city. I wasn't sure that the delay would be covered; but it was, no hassle at all. Allianz provided what I think was a very fair compensation. In addition, Amtrak gave us a travel voucher. This was a far more satisfactory process and outcome than my recent experience filing a claim on our renter's policy. with a different company.

My total bill onboard was $468.00. I scanned the physician's narrative, billing information and any additional information pertaining to my treatment, plus, pertinent claim forms. It took Allianz approximately 2 weeks to review and pay my claim. I am very pleased with this recent experience with Allianz and will continue to use their services to insure my future travels. One never can foretell what can happen should a travel emergency occur. It is a good plan to have the Allianz folks ready to protect you and your travel investment.

We had a great experience with Allianz insurance. Our cruise planner recommended. Affordable, and very easy to submit claims. Allianz was very quick to review and reimburse. We would recommend anyone taking a cruise buy insurance. Our first flight was delayed more than 6 hours so we submitted small claims as a result of the delay.

I’ve used Allianz in the past and fortunately never had to make a claim. Recently I had an inter-Europe flight canceled due to a “technical issue” and was subsequently booked on another flight from another airport 100 miles away. We missed an entire day in Barcelona. I filed my claim as soon as I returned to the US. Allianz reviewed my claim and paid for my troubles based on my policy. FYI if you use digital Boarding passes screenshot them for future use ie: claims etc... Thanksgiving Allianz.

The service and response to my questions and refund was exceptional! I was truly expecting a fight to get my money back from a cancellation because of a hurricane. They told me how to file. I sent in the trip facts and they refunded me when the hotel refused to give me my money back. In the time limit, they quote on their site. Now how wonderful is that! I would recommend them to everyone. No one ever wants to cancel a trip but if you have to, this is the company to do business with. Happy in Jersey...

After a wonderful week in Mexico, I fell and broke my wrist at the Cancun Airport. Allianz was quick to pay me the amount I paid the ambulance, doctors and hospital since I had to pay with the total with my credit card. This accident could have ruined a trip for me but Allianz saved my memories of the delightful trip (except for the broken wrist). Thank you, Allianz.

Allianz has a very straightforward process for filing insurance claims. I heard back in a matter of days. The staff was very professional and clear in what I needed to provide. After clarifying information, they paid for the claim. Just like that! What a relief after an unexpected setback.

My trip was delayed by a typhoon in Asia and Allianz customer service answered my international phone call and was very helpful. Filing a claim when I returned home was very efficient, there were no further questions on the claim and the check for the full amount of the claim arrived within 10 days.

Medical bill from cruise - acute illness. I had no difficulty completing claim online and attaching documentation, although I wasn't sure at first if the documentation uploaded properly. Soon, I received confirmation email that doc was received and claim was being reviewed. Received check within the specified time frame. I was happy with the process. Although no one plans on getting sick on vacation, it was nice that the trip protection insurance worked as it should. I always get trip insurance and this was the first time I actually needed to use it.

I've been using Allianz global assistance travel insurance for several years now. Their rates are extremely competitive and affordable, it's simple and easy to purchase a plan online or with the customer service. Besides the peace of mind that I receive every time with them covering every aspect of the travel, The one time I actually needed to use the coverage for a medical issue they were extremely helpful, they followed up with all of the developments, and most importantly, the aftermath of the incident which included reimbursement for medical expenses went extremely smooth and easily, no hassle, no questions asked. I have over the many years of my travels purchased various travel insurance, but by far this has been the best company ever. After my wife and I took sick on a cruise in Italy we amassed medical bills of $3,045.00. The next day after we arrived home, which was a Sunday, I filed all the medical forms, including proof of payment, via email. Four days later on Thursday evening, I received a notification, the the wire transfer had been sent for the full amount so that I could immediately pay my credit card company. This is incredibly fast and so much appreciated. My friend, who was also on the same cruise had a $5,950.00 medical claim to a different travel insurance company, as of date 2 weeks later still has not heard anything. Without question, Allianz is the ONLY Travel Insurance company I will ever use. I don't think one could find a better and more responsive company than Allianz.

I bought a travel insurance policy from Allianz for a recent trip to China. During my trip, I got a severe and protracted case of food poisoning, which required me to seek treatment from a local medical professional. Upon my return, I submitted my claim to Allianz for reimbursement for medical treatments and medications, for which Allianz paid me in full within 10 days. They were very easy to work with, both in obtaining my policy and processing my claim.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and completely Allianz responded to my claim. I expected this would drag out forever and they would request almost impossible-to-get proof. But a check arrived in the mail even before I had gathered all of my documents! We had to cancel our flight due to a family member being injured and expected to die. I was in the process of contacting the physician and gathering info, but it wasn't needed. I would definitely purchase trip insurance again through Allianz.

I had 2 claims pertaining to the same event. The 1st claim ** (for train tickets) was paid within days. The 2nd claim was held up for additional evidence. When I called I was told by Maria that the 1st claim settled quickly because it was reviewed by "the computer" but the 2nd (again, it's all related) was reviewed by an adjuster and I had to submit rather personal information about why my husband and I were unable to travel in order to process this 2nd claim. It begs the question... why was the "computer" satisfied enough to process my first claim, but I was questioned about the 2nd claim and forced to produce personal information proving the validity of my claim? I eventually was paid for both claims, but I doubt I'll purchase this insurance again.

My experience was great! I insured our vacation to Kauai, not expecting to need it. Well, 5 days before we were scheduled to get on that plane, my husband was told by his cardiologist that he could not get on that plane to an island in the Pacific. He needed a procedure (angiogram) done in his heart. That night I made phone calls to cancel our vacation. One of those calls was to Allianz. The gentleman I talked to was so good, he listened to my story, he was very comforting, said I didn't have to do anything right now. Everything about my insurance worked out as expected, and the reps went above and beyond to fulfill and expedite my claim. The last thing I needed after a physical emergency was a problem with reimbursement, knowing I was supposed to be covered. The airline was less than helpful, but once I called in to a rep at Allianz, I felt valued and had my doubts negated and my issues resolved. My husband became sick at the last leg of our trip and was prohibited by his doctor from flying for almost a week. We had to change our plane reservations and extend our rental for an additional 5 days. When I called Global Allianz for help with filing a claim the representative I spoke to was very helpful explaining how to file the claim online. The actual online filing process was very easy and the response time was very fast. I received an acknowledgement immediately and a check was deposited into my account within a few days. Well in Florence Italy I tried, without success, to talk to Allianz. My wife had become ill and I needed to find a doctor. The Hotel in Florence helped me locate a doctor who came to the hotel room to treat her. On the good side, my claim was processed quickly.

Had a awful health issue come up about 6 weeks after we booked a wonderful trip we were so looking forward to and now am unable to travel for months!!! Hotels are easy to cancel usually 48 hour policy hit as well all known flights are not so easy. I always buy this insurance just in case!!! And luckily till now never had to use it. Customer service are very nice and the process for the claim is easy. They got our documents and doctor's note and had a check for the full amount we would have lost in the mail to us within 1 week. For the full amount of $1065!!! ESP being sick and missing work now as well. I could imagine being out over $1000 and right before Xmas too!!!! This ins is great coverage and worth the money always Bc you never know. I’d rather waste $69 the be out over $1000. I highly recommend to everyone!!!!

We have submitted two claims to Allianz this year, and with one the exception, received excellent service. The exception was one inpatient service representative who incorrectly told us that our insurance would cover only the cost of our airline tickets, not any prepaid and nonrefundable deposits/purchases as stated in the policy. After rereading the policy, I called back and got a service representative who knew was extremely helpful. This claim was very complicated because we used multiple credit cards to secure multiple reservations. The second claim was a simple medical bill, and Allianz paid it within a week of receiving it.

We had planned a trip to Cabo and bought the insurance, just in case. Well, one week before our trip, my mother had to undergo open heart surgery, a stay in the ICU, additional days in the hospital, then a trip to rehab. We were able to use our insurance to replace the price of the plane tickets. I needed to get documentation from the doctor and hospital, but that was easy enough. It worked out well, except we didn't go to Cabo!

Process of filling out claim was easy via app or online. Quick response and ability to track progress was nice. More options to choose from for issues would be helpful. Claim did not pay out as much as expected but given the cost of policy vs reassurance of some insurance still makes it worthwhile. Recommend for any traveler.

It has been a week plus since the claim was filed and still no refund or any communication as far as status - very disappointed. My reason for cancelling the trip was a serious illness that my mother has - I just did not expect to have this insurance worry on top of my very serious concerns about my mom. Thought this would be a slam/dunk - not the case.

I filled a claim and in continue of same medical issue, I filled another claim 2 months before. In overall experience, employee never give right information to customer, no communication happen between employees, never get documents on time even I sent them. No easy process to get claim refund. Their long waited claim refund is frustrating. Long phone call wait on customer care line.

Due to plane trouble in CS my plane was delayed. I tried to get American to put me on a different plane so I could fly to my destination where care was located but they would not, finally they sent me to a different airport so I had to rent a car and drive to pick my car up after my class the following day. My insurance paid for vehicle and gas, worth every penny.

I purchased a ticket in July of 2019 for a trip to Dallas in Nov.. I also purchased the insurance available through Allianz. In Oct. I started having stomach issues. My Dr. wanted to conduct a test which was going to be unpleasant, possibly painful. The testing was going to be performed at the same time as the trip to Dallas. I cancelled my flight and gathered up all the paperwork I had regarding the testing and asked my Dr. to write a letter to Allianz also. I spoke with an agent at Allianz, explained to them what I was doing and they helped me fill out the claims forms. Long story, happy ending... I received my reimbursement the other day in the mail. Our luggage was lost for more than 24 hours and we were reimbursed $150 for the inconvenience. This amount covered the cost of new bathing suits and sunscreen which were in the luggage that was lost. I would recommend getting insurance for just this instance.

I don't usually pay for added travel insurance when I book flights. I'm thankful that I did for the trip I had booked to Louisiana this November. I unexpectedly had an injury before the trip and was unable to go. I was able to submit a claim through Allianz and received the full purchase price of my Delta airline ticket back with very little effort on my part. The claim form was easy to complete, and my refund was sent to me by check within a short amount of time. I flew from Syracuse, NY to Florence, Italy for a week, and then to Boston, MA for the weekend, and then home to Syracuse. I had Allianz coverage during that time. My baggage was delayed for four days from Florence to Boston, and didn't arrive in Boston at all. I submitted a claim for $646, consisting of clothing, makeup, and toiletries. I was told that the coverage was $800, l so I was expecting full reimbursement. I received a check for $100. I called to find out why. The agent said that the $800 maximum is just on the outbound, and that the maximum baggage delay coverage was otherwise $100. I explained that Boston was not home, and that I was still traveling. She said "read your policy", and said only the first outbound had coverage of $800. This is totally unfair and wrong. All I had were the clothes on my back.

Our flight left late, which Spirit blamed on different reasons at different times in the process, none of which they were responsible for of course however, it caused us to miss our connection. We had to get a hotel, eat a couple more meals on the road and pay additional parking. I found it easy to fill out our claim online and submit supporting documents. I was able to come back to the site later and add additional information with ease. We received a check about a week after submitting our claim. Thank you Allianz! Glad we bought our policy... We had a big trip to Africa earlier this year and it wasn't that much more to make it an annual policy so we did since we do travel often. We ended up filing the claim as part of a different trip. After our positive experience we'll be continuing the annual policy next year!

We purchased your travel policy for our recent trip to Florida via Amtrak. On the return trip, we got off the train in NY and took a cab to take us to the bus pickup for the last leg of our trip back to NH. The cab driver depended on the GPS map in his cell phone to locate the pickup point. He dropped us off almost two blocks away, arguing that the phone was right. As a result, we missed the bus that is only once a day. We we were stuck in NY overnight and had to get a hotel room, which was fairly expensive. Once home, I reviewed the policy and filed a trip interruption claim. I provided the hotel receipt and within a few days, our claim was paid 100% via electronic deposit. I have never had any insurance claim paid that quickly. We will never travel again without buying this policy. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

Allianz did a wonderful job with my treatment as well as my medical evacuation. Allianz settled more than half of my hospital stay before my discharge. My medical evacuation was well taken care. I was able to go through airport with assistance. With business class flight, it made my pain more bearable. The transportation to/from airport were very good as well.

I’ve been using Allianz travel insurance for many years now and, for the first time, had to cancel an airline trip a couple of weeks ago due to illness. The process of reimbursement of the non-refundable fare was efficient, quick and I got the refund check within a week after submission of claim. Up until last year when I travelled globally for work and my employer did not pay for travel insurance, I’d always pay out of pocket to get the insurance as it protected the fare, baggage and Would also assist with medical support. Customer service was exceptional. However, the insurance in self I was not pleased with. Partly my fault? I should have read the small print. Insurance cannot be used if your trip is canceled for any other reason then sickness, death, you must visit a doctor and have documentation of that visit for the insurance to go into a fact. I booked flights for my 90-year-old and 92-year-old mother and father-in-law and they could not come. I did not know you had to have doctor visits Documented as to why they could not travel. The customer service I received was exceptional but I feel the product is very misleading.

I purchased Allianz insurance in case something happens where I need to cancel my flight. Then something did. The entire reason behind this trip was to visit my girlfriend but her grandfather passed away. The funeral was scheduled for 4 days across the country after the time of death which was when I was visiting. Thus the flight had to be cancelled. Allianz did not believe this to be worthy of an approved claim so Allianz really doesn't care if someone dies that isn't directly related to you. I will never conduct business with Allianz again and will make sure everyone I know does the same. Except for her grandfather of course cause he's dead.

We recently booked a trip from Barcelona, Spain to Orlando, FL on Aer Lingus. Their site offers an option to check for travel insurance which we did and paid for. However, when the policy was received and reviewed It states: "for the purposes of this insurance you are deemed to be a Spanish resident." Of course we are US residents as was obvious with the information provided to the airline. The policy number is not recognized in the US and we are unable to contact anyone in Spain for assistance. Therefore, we will not have insurance nor will we have a refund for this policy. I would not recommend selecting this insurance when traveling internationally.

On a recent trip to Europe, my flight was cancelled. I was one of the lucky ones who was able to rebook on a flight the next day. The airline had already taken my luggage and said that it would "follow me" on my newly scheduled flight. But that didn't happen and I had to wait 2 more days after arriving before my luggage caught up with me. The delay in the flight was a hassle and then the days without my clothes or anything when I arrived was uncomfortable as I had to spend time in a different country getting necessities. When I returned home from my vacation, I filed my claim for the problems with the trip and Allianz processed everything like their policy promised. It was quick and a lot easier than getting my luggage back! I've used Allianz for several years, I recommend them to all my friends who travel.

Allianz provides great travel coverage. You can take out individual trip policies or annual coverage, which I would recommend if you and your family travel a lot. The medical coverage is good if you don’t have global health insurance. The cancellation rider is the most useful if you need to change or cancel your travel plans due to illness or medical emergencies of you or your travel companion. The ease of filing a claim online is wonderful and speedy. If you have all the necessary documentation, your claim is reviewed promptly and you generally receive payment before expected. When I hurt my back a couple days before my scheduled vacation I was forced to cancel the trip. I used the Allianz app to upload the docs I received from Urgent Care (urgent care discharge and the completed Allianz doctor form) as well as copies of my prescriptions. The claim was processed within days and the check was issued shortly thereafter. Very fast and easy. Probably more so because I had the doctor complete the Allianz form instead of having him write a letter. Good thing I sent my son back to the doctor to get him to complete the form!

When I called the 800 number for Allianz for information about filing a claim for damaged baggage, their service was very polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. The claims representative advised me to scan or fax the online claim form that had been denied by Delta Airlines. Then Allianz stepped up and covered the claim in a very timely manner.

My dad turned 90 and we wanted to give him a trip to celebrate. Unfortunately, he became very ill 2 weeks prior to his trip and was unable to travel. I booked a hotel with Hotwire for the middle of my hunting trip, and as I was heading out I hit a storm and wrecked my vehicle. Fortunately, I protected my purchase with Allianz, and despite all the other expenses, a wasted hotel stay wasn't one of them. Allianz was responsive and I got my refund quickly. I would definitely recommend them whenever you book a room or flight.

I purchased the flight insurance because it is low price to cover a cancellation. I had a medical emergency and my doctor said that I should not fly. I submitted a claim through Allianz so that I could get refunded money back that I had spent to purchase a plane ticket from Montana to Pennsylvania with my own money. My daddy didn't help pay for it this time because I'm a big boy now and I can cook my own tendies, he said. There was no consideration for who bought the flight, as it was not the passenger. It could've been refunded to the original credit card account but nope - now I have a check I cannot cash because it's in the name of someone I do not know outside of booking their travel to a meeting we are hosting. I'll never buy travel insurance again.

While traveling in the Middle East in September, my husband came down with bronchitis. We knew he had to see a doctor so I called Allianz to get help. They suggested a clinic close to us in Jerusalem, he saw a doctor and was prescribed antibiotics. The people we talked to at Allianz were helpful, kind, and showed their concern. I called because we had to cancel flights for my son and I from Eugene, OR to San Diego, CA. Several weeks before the scheduled flight my son developed an acute ear infection that ruptured his left eardrum. Without having surgery immediately before the flight was scheduled, the specialist recommended that he not fly anywhere. I called Allianz the next morning and the person I spoke with was very kind and very efficient in helping with the first stage of the process (filing the claim, giving me a claim number, sending me the necessary form(s), and making sure I knew to write the claim number on every document I submitted, etc.). Again I wanted to emphasize that the person was not only efficient, she also asked about my son's condition and expressed concern and kind words. It makes a difference!!!

My wife became ill before our travel and was told by a doctor that she couldn’t fly. Thankfully we had purchased trip insurance through Allianz. We filled out an online claim form and submitted a picture of the doctor’s note. Not long after, we received a check in the mail. This was the first time in our history that we actually had to file a claim on a trip, and to be honest, I expected to get a denial of our claim and run-around. But that didn’t happen. We were pleasantly surprised that the insurance did exactly what it should- and we won’t hesitate to buy trip insurance in the future for this reason.

There was damage that I noticed only about a month after I tested my electronics that American Airlines refused to reimburse me for under their policy. I injured my back a couple months after purchasing nonrefundable plane tickets, hence the insurance. Luckily, this was the first time I hadn’t prepaid the car and hotel as well. With extra medical bills and me working less due to injury, losing the money for the tickets wasn’t ideal. My injury lasted much longer than expected and I was advised not to go on our trip by my chiropractor. I expected phone calls and follow up questions, and possibly having to fight my case with y’all. However, none of that occurred, I simply filed my claim with a doctor's recommendation and received a check in the mail.
