My husband went in to get fitted for a tux and one of the employees was rude and treated my husband like he was a child. When we went to return it not knowing they are opened on Sunday so we took it back Monday and the guy working said it was late and charged us a $200 late fee plus tax. What the heck! There is no leeway for a weekend. That is **! So they are ripping us off by charging 20% per day. That is way more than the video and movie companies were charging for late fees. Something needs to be done.

Last night, I went to the Nanuet store to get suits for my three sons and me. I met one son there and the others were on their way. I made sure to make an appointment since we needed 4 suits and alterations. I planned on spending at least $1000, maybe more with shirts, shoes, etc. We met with John and he measured my son and proceeded to fit him. I told John my budget and he said he was just trying things on for size and fit. He tried a few but they did not fit well and my son noticed John was getting annoyed. John finally found one that was comfortable but needed extensive alterations. I asked the price and was told $639 (plus alterations). I asked John why he would show us a $639 suit when I told him upfront what my budget was. He replied that all the inexpensive suits were on the website and not his store.
Why didn't he tell me that when we first met with him and I told him my budget? We walked out disappointed and went elsewhere. This was the second time I tried to get a suit at this store and the second time I walked out disappointed because of a salesman telling me he could not provide a suit at a reasonable cost. I sent a complaint email the first time and was told to give you a second chance. This was the second chance and you blew it again. "You're going to love the way you look." I seriously doubt that's the case, unless you want to spend over $600 for a suit.

What a Joke! After reading the other complaints it is not necessary to re-tell the story. Bottom line, don't go to Men's Wearhouse unless you want to be oversold and under-served, laughed at when you ask to speak to a manager who never shows up, etc. Rentals are garbage, the service is horrible. Employees are rejects from fast food restaurants. Run! Don't go to Men's Wearhouse.

Twice, I bought long-sleeved shirts and had them made short sleeves. Both times, the tailor made the stitching too tight and made ruffles. The second time within the last three weeks, I made sure the salesperson know about the problem I had before; and they said they would take care of it. I went in to pick the four shirts last Friday and had the same problem. The assistant manager said I would have to wait four more days. (The fourth day is today.) I went in today, and the shirts were somewhat better but not good and not ironed. The excuse was that the tailor was too busy. Your tailoring sucks, and the floor help is nice but not concerned about getting the job done right. What are you going to do about this?

I purchased two suits for my son to be worn for job interviews. He recently graduated from Saint Vincent College and wants to make a great first impression! The salesman, Rob, was helpful and personable. The tailor made what we thought were the proper markings for the alterations. When we picked up the suits, the pants looked like they were sewn by a middle school student and, needless to say, didn't fit. When my son and husband returned for the alterations to be corrected, my husband pointed out that the seams didn't line up like they do on his suits. She proceeded to grab his butt and said that it was because he had no butt! Her next move was to grab my son's butt and say he has a bubble butt! Not only is she poor at alterations, she is also inappropriate and unprofessional to say the least! Even after all of this, the suit pants were still not right.
When my son and I returned for another fitting, I pointed out to the store personnel what had happened. They were apologetic. They even remarked that they try to keep that person in the back away from customers. Why?! I'm not using her name because they wouldn't give it to us. She had access to all of our information and we didn't even know her first name! Fortunately, a different tailor (Shirley) was there to make what were finally the proper alterations. I was told that Rob would be giving me a call to follow up. I never heard from him. Clearly, the matter was just swept under the rug! Let's face it, if it was a male grabbing a female, things would have been handled differently. This business is only as good as its weakest link. That makes them a big failure!

I was given a $100 Men's Wearhouse gift card by my wife for Christmas. I don't wear suits often (3 or 4 times a year at most). However, I thought I would use the gift card to get a nice fitting suit for the occasions when I do wear one. I'm a bit introverted, so I like to shop online first so that the process of dealing with the salesman goes as quickly as possible. I found a nice $200 suit that was to my liking, so I headed to the store to make my purchase, with a printout of the page.
When I got there, I noted that I would like a dark grey or black suit. I had no idea of my sizes, so I was measured and then shown a few suits in the $500 range. I said that I saw a suit for $200 on their website that I liked and was told in a very condescending tone that those were "lower class suits and not good quality". I explained that I was fine with that as I rarely wear a suit and am not looking to be a fashion plate, simply have a decent, well-fitting suit. The sales associate immediately handed me off to a younger associate and didn't acknowledge me the rest of my time in the store.
The suit itself was cheaply made and wore/faded fairly quickly. Although I was informed that they would be of a lower quality of the more expensive suits, it was well below what I would expect for $200. My next suit was a Polo suit purchased from Kohl's during their Spring Sale for $120. It fit just as well as the Men's Wearhouse suit, is much more stylish, and is made of a much higher quality material. Needless to say, outside of maybe a tux fitting, I won't be shopping at Men's Wearhouse again.

Long story short, I ordered online and didn’t receive what I ordered. Their CS was horrible (Taylor **). The supervisor was an idiot. They will not issue credit and told me to go fight it with my credit card. I spoke to Jim ** in lost prevention who insulted me in regards to another order years ago. Please stay away. It has been hell for the past month. Now, I’m in the process of taking them to small claims court. I’m dealing with the BBB and I filed a claim with my CC company. I rather spend three times of my dispute in legal fees to prove a point! Stay away. I will keep updating this battle!

I went into the store in Oak Lawn, IL because I saw the sign on the outside that read " everything in the store buy on get one free." As I walked in the store, a women greeted me and the next words out her mouth was "everything in the store buy on get one free, except shoes". I was then introduced to a sales rep. I explained to him that I was on the website and that I was looking to see what the suites in the $200 price range looked like and that I wanted to take advantage of the buy one get one free offer the women told me about when I walked in the store.
The sales rep had me try on many different suites and after 25 minutes he informed me that all of the suites he had me try on did not qualify for the "everything in the store buy on get one free". He did however try and sell me a $350 suite that did qualify for the "everything in the store buy on get one free". Buyer beware of the men's warehouse not everything in the store is but one get one free.

Wish there were a no star option. They know that if they get a bridal party that the people in that party will be stuck. Extra fees, low quality tuxedos. One of my brothers was given the wrong shirt and his pants made him look like a clown because they were far too big for him. The people in the NY Madison Ave/46th Street store are disrespectful and obnoxious. I had to ask one if he was actually laughing at me in my face. It wasn't until I gave him my business card as an MMA trainer that he wiped his stupid smile off his face.

Working with Men's Wearhouse was a horrible experience. I rented tuxes through them for my wedding. A lot of people have been mentioning buttons falling off. This happened to my father right before the wedding was supposed to start. Our wedding coordinator at the church was running around looking for a needle and thread, and she sewed it on right before the ceremony started. My husband's coat button also fell off right before walking in to the reception. (No refund for either).
The problems don't end there. Aside from the manager, apparently, no one working at Men's Wearhouse knows anything. When my husband and in-laws stopped by with some basic questions about the promotion we were using (which was heavily advertised in the store), they were greeted with blank stares and recommendations to come back later when the manager would be around.
The promotion we were using was the "free suit and companion ticket" package. I don't know why, but they did not give my husband the code for the free suit and information on obtaining the companion ticket. We went back numerous times to get this simple information to no avail. It wasn't until three months after the wedding (and a very angry email to their customer service) that they sent me the information for both. End of the story? No!
I went to redeem the companion ticket (which was through a third party site) and they said that it had expired. I checked the website, and it said that the voucher is good for up to a year from when it is issued. The wedding was in December. It has not even been a year. I contacted customer service at the third party company, and they said that there was no way that the voucher could be "extended," even though it shouldn't have expired! I told them that, and they claimed that it expired September 30 of this year. What does September 30 have to do with anything? Also, there was no mention of this date on the promotional materials we received. I waste money on this. I will never use Men's Wearhouse ever again, and I am telling everyone I know to avoid them like a plague.

I rented a Tux. When it was delivered, it was dirty and it didn't fit. I was promised a refund by Mr. Ton **, Director of Customer Affairs. He refuses to return my calls and the corporation has not returned my call either. They are customer unfriendly and do not follow-up on complaints. Beware of renting there. They also, without notice, upgraded my order without telling me the cost until they ran my credit card.

I was a groomsman at my friend's wedding. The groom picked out Calvin Klein tuxedos at a cost of $170. We went in for our fitting about 2 months before the wedding. Their rentals have to be picked up the day before the event and returned the day after the event, so really you don't have time to try on and make sure it fits. Once you are handed the tuxedo, you are thanked and they don't even offer the opportunity to try on.
So the day after, I put the tuxedo on, and the vest is missing a button. I paid $170 and they don't even have the common sense to make sure the buttons are on. I had to drive to Men's Wearhouse to get the vest fixed and that detour made me 20 minutes late to the ceremony, interrupting the ceremony so I can run to the front.
When I returned the tuxedo, I spoke to the manager and I told him what had happened. I asked for a refund, he said there was nothing he can do, just apologize.

I find their clothing to be inferior as several items I purchased recently have had buttons come off and needed seams to be re-sewn--not what I would expect from quality products. I don't have time, or patience, to spend lots of time taking items back to be repaired. I'm disappointed with overall quality at MW.

Do you guarantee the sales pre-assure and up selling we received in your Woodland Hills Store today, I couldn't believe it! I bring my son in to get 2 suits for graduation and prom; you're having a sale, buy one suit get one for $100.00. You would have thought we were the last sale in the world! The sales team (I counted 5 sales people) prepping shirts and ties and staring at my son and I. Now I appreciate good service but this was weird. The moment my son walked out of the dressing room for his fitting, 2 to 3 of them were right there pushing options, staring at him. He didn't know what to do, he looked at me and said "What's this?" We were just trying to get the first suit fitted. The Sales staff continued to stand around the table looking at us.
We liked the first suit but wanted to try another black suit because the one we found On Sale was just too big and would take a lot of alterations, the salesman (Phil) was trying to push the alterations and the tailor disagreed 3 or 4 times, the looks between the 2 of them were stressed to say the least. The tailor, upset with Phil, fitted the first suit then left the area. The salesman (Phil) then told me that there were no other black suit options other than spending almost $400 more. Now wait a minute, I'm in a Warehouse of Suits and they don't have another 40s black suit under $400? All the while, the accompanying Sales Team is staring at us, I finally had to announce to Phil and the team, excuse me, but we are on a budget here. I'm sorry, but I don't want to come in any store and announce to the world I'm watching what I have to spend. I was dropping every hint in the world to Phil that a $400 option just didn't work and he kept coming at us. Once I made my announcement, we were dropped like a hot potato handed the suit and Phil didn't even thank us, he was on to a new prospect and the crowd dispersed.
Checking out was odd, as the lady that rung up the suit and alterations input the wrong price and almost over charged us $150.00 because she missed the sales price. I asked for a breakdown because the suit was marked (right on the sleeve) $169.00. This is an honest mistake but the entire experience form selection to sale felt very uncomfortable and I will think twice before going to your store again. I do thank you for one thing, my son asked about what the heck was going on during the sale and fitting and I broke down the entire orchestrated sales process, having the one sale suit and not having any other sale options, to lining up all the shirts, ties belts and shoes, none of which we asked for, with the accompanying gallery. It was a wonderful lesson in pressure selling. I will pick up his suit this week we like it.
After lunch and our conversation, we went to Macys and found an iZOD black suit on sale for $155.00, and because we are Platinum Card holders, the alterations were free. I do want to thank your tailor, he wasn't after the sale he was a voice of reason, I honor him, maybe the salesmen should take some customer service hints from him.

I set up my account to be automatically paid each month on the 1st. My billing due date was the 25th of each month. Upon looking at a recent statement, I noticed I'm being charged $29 fees for late payments even though I have an auto payment going through on the 1st every month. After speaking with 4 different people at customer service, I learned that their system is set up where any payments made on the billing date for that month only credit to the previous month. This is a loophole and it has cost me $29 a month for 5 months. They told me had I scheduled my payments on the 2nd of each month, it would have credited for that month and not been considered late.
I am livid. Nowhere on their website or my bill does it states a payment will not be credited to the current month if it is submitted on the billing date. I received 5 straight months of late fees, which all got reported on my credit report. I also failed to pay down my balance because the extra fees they were charging me were higher than the payments I was making.

I rented a tuxedo for my daughter's wedding. The button of the coat popped off just seconds before I escorted my daughter down the aisle. The buttons were obviously not secured. This was an extremely embarrassing moment for me and my daughter. The wedding was witnessed by over 200 people. When I processed the complaint, the District Manager was only apologetic and said he would only give me a $50.00 gift certificate stating that "accidents happen". This type of courtesy treatment is totally unacceptable. I endured an embarrassment that I will have to endure forever. Asking for a 100% refund is not unreasonable. The Mens Wearhouse should take responsibility for their mishap.
