I called the Men's Wearhouse national toll-free number (877-986-9669) on 3/5/2026 to inquire whether they could measure me for a suit which I need to purchase for an upcoming wedding but from another, non-local wedding attire chain. I had a difficult time getting the representative who answered the call to understand what I thought was a simple request: Does Men's Wearhouse offer tailor service to provide me measurements for a suit if I am NOT purchasing the suit there? Once I finally get her to understand, she answered yes, they do provide that service but for a $20 fee, which I was more than willing to pay since I naively assumed Men's Wearhouse would perform the measurements correctly. So I scheduled an appointment for the next day at the Men's Wearhouse on Citrus Park Dr. here in Tampa.
Showed up at the store a couple minutes before the scheduled appointment time and was quickly greeted by the only salesman in the store, who happened to be in the middle of working with another customer. I explained I was there for an 11AM appointment to get measured for a suit, and could tell by his expression he had absolutely no clue about the appointment. Then he started asking about the wedding party name... and I explained this was simply to measure me for a suit that I needed to purchase online from a non-local clothing store (just like I had explained to the equally clueless rep who took the call the previous day to schedule the appointment).
Once again, the salesman informed me there would be a $20 fee and I told him yes, I was aware of the fee, so he immediately fetched a tape measure and took a few very quick, sloppy measurements. By sloppy I mean he never put the tape around either my chest or my waist, and never measured my pant leg. He just held the tape up loosely against my back and down the back of my arm.
Next, he threw a "testcase" suit jacket on me (I assume to get a idea of what size I would need) which was at least 2 or 3 sizes too small. Than he quickly went back to the rack and got another jacket which fit much better in the shoulders, but not around the belly (would not button). Still no around-the-waist measurement. Then he asked me what I thought my approximate waist measure was; I told him. Then he proceeded to write down the measurements from the second suit jacket he had thrown on me (the one that would not button) and the waist size that I verbally told him without being measured. Now while this is going on 2 other people came walking into the store, so he obviously wants to get me, the non suit purchasing customer, out of his hair as quickly as possible. "That'll be $21.50 including tax."
Well, I paid the guy just to get the hell out of there, but the more I thought about, the less confident I felt about the "measurements" he provided. My conscience would not stop bothering me, so I finally went to another place in Citrus Park Mall later that same day which does measurements for free - and got a completely different set of measures.
I still can't stop thinking about the whole fiasco, and decided to write this review. When I went to do so, I see that the customer reviews for Men's Wearhouse are all over the place - some indicating great service, and others that are closer to my experience: Understaffed, abysmal corporate communication, bush league service, nothing better than an average clothing store with high school / early college employees who just want to finish their shift and move on with their lives who have no real regard for the customers who walk through in the entrance door. So the moral of the story is: Avoid this place. (I know I will.) You can get this level of service anywhere and for much cheaper.

Kenny, the store manager was so wonderful with his knowledge of customer service. Was spot on, Kenny knows his stuff when it comes to fitting someone like me and my son that knows absolutely nothing about buying a suit or blazer with a new shirt that that brings Kenny's expertise to our rescue. Kenny explained in detail exactly what we needed with a price so affordable. So ask Kenny and any employee at Men's Wearhouse because they all are knowledgeable, respectful and so professional in helping with all your clothing needs. We absolutely love the sales experience that Men's Wearhouse provides and this includes the wonderful salesladies too, they can make everything easier and fun to shop at Men's Wearhouse. Thank goodness for a wonderful staff!!! The **.

I prepared my measurements and ordered everything I needed, but unfortunately, the jacket didn’t arrive on time. Jackson **, my incredible savior, reassured me and quickly set up a plan “B” with a jacket available in-store that just needed minor adjustments. When Jackson brought it out with a smile, I hesitated but received a thumbs-up from Maria **, who assured me it would look great. After alterations, they told me there would be no charge for the jacket due to the inconvenience. I'm grateful for their help in turning a stressful situation into a joyful experience, and I look forward to returning to Men’s Wearhouse in the future!

I'd just like to point out a very helpful team member at the Men's Wearhouse Temple location. I was having a very stressful day trying to find the right pair of slacks for my suit and even with how eager I was to find the pair for me she was very calm and helpful in our search for my slacks. Her dedication to my situation helped me a lot. I really feel like the few times I've ran into Ileana she's been so helpful no matter the situation. She maintains a very professional and helpful manner. Thanks to Ileana I could carry on to my event stress-free.

Over the years I have had occasions to buy clothing from MW. The last time was about a year ago. Given my poor experiences in the past I decided that perhaps I should up my game—I bought a pair of slacks a bit on the high end. Maybe that will give me the quality I want, I thought. Well, no. Same poor quality and same poor service. So, no. I won’t be back.

I visited the store last night to be fitted for a tuxedo for my new year's bash for work and had an amazing experience. Shawna, who assisted me with my fitting, is an outstanding employee. Her professionalism was truly exceptional, and the other staff members who supported her were equally impressive. Thank you for providing such a high level of customer service. I rented a tuxedo for my wedding. Did the fitting a month before. The tuxedo arrived on the Thursday before the ceremony, I was sent the wrong Tuxedo. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful, they rush a new Tuxedo it arrived 2 hours before the wedding. I get home and the clips on the suspenders were broken, the collar on the shirt was oddly shaped. I did not have time to get another pair. I had to use safety pins with the pants which came undone during the ceremony. I really wish I had of worn one of my suits instead. Even my groomsmen had issues with their tuxedos, like missing buttons on their shirts and a broken zipper on pants.
I expressed to management what occurred and while they apologized that was all that I was given. Looking at the photos my Tuxedo looks awful on me. I think if my tuxedo had of come in two weeks earlier, everything could have been fixed and adjusted in time. I would still recommend Men's Warehouse just allow for more time.

Review for Men’s Wearhouse – 7000 Austin Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. I went to pick up my rental suit for a wedding this Saturday, and it was a complete letdown. After driving 30 minutes and paying $2.50 for metered parking, I expected things to go smoothly — but that was not the case. The pants were far too short, stopping about three inches above my ankles, and the suit jacket was too small. When I asked what measurements they had taken, no one could give me an answer. The employee then told me I’d have to come back another day because the jacket wasn’t in stock — even though my event is this Saturday. I was told they would FedEx it, and I’m now hoping it arrives by noon the next day.
To make matters worse, the shirt they handed me looked like it had been stuffed in a pocket — completely wrinkled and unpresentable. When I pointed this out, the employee confirmed that was indeed the shirt I was supposed to wear. Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. If the wedding weren’t just days away, I would have requested a refund and gone elsewhere. I will not be returning to this Men’s Wearhouse location and strongly recommend others look elsewhere for formalwear rentals.

Purchased a tuxedo from a St. Louis location in the mall. Staff was helpful. Alterations were quick. Tuxedo was not pressed as promised when picked up. Spent almost 1000 for the tuxedo and staff couldn’t be bothered to provide a 3.00 garment bag to protect my purchase.

I wish I could give them 1 star!! I ordered a blazer on Thursday of last week and had to do it as online exclusive only. I paid 25 dollars expedited shipping to be here by Monday and it's not even going to be here on time. So make sure if you order something order it 2 weeks in advance and don't pay express shipping. It won't show up until the time of the free shipping shows up.

MEN'S WEARHOUSE, SPANISH FORT, AL. I'm not usually a complainer, but I'm warning you to be careful in dealing with this store. On September 30, 2025, I bought a suit from this store and was measured for alterations. I explained that I needed the suit no later than October 24 for a planned event. They assured me it would be ready on that date. When I went in on the promised date (over 3 weeks after purchase), the suit wasn't ready, and they admitted they had not even started on the alterations. I asked for a credit card refund and left. I'll post later as to whether I get the refund.

A very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place if you need to rent a tuxedo in Washington, D.C. After two tries in the store, I asked for the pants to be lengthened, as they were clearly too short and made me look ridiculous. On the day of the event, when I picked up the tuxedo, the hem had not been lengthened and the garment was unwearable. The store only refunded me for the pants, as if you could go to a black tie event wearing only a jacket, shirt, and shoes....and no pants! This practice feels fundamentally unfair and left me feeling taken advantage of.

They fitted my dad for my niece's wedding. All I can say is they are sloppy. It was too big, and when I asked, I was told you can cinch the waist. It is fine. I don't know much about suits/tuxes so I should have been more assertive. We weren't happy with the customer service at all. It was too expensive to look sloppy. I will find another suit rental place for the next occasion.

We had went in to get my son’s homecoming pants fitted. They had put on receipt it would be ready 9/20. I called on 9/18 due to me not being able to find the receipt with that date and asked for an update. When I called the gentleman was arrogant making comments like, "Well we don’t have when they will be ready due to that is why we put it on your receipt." I told him I apologized but wasn’t sure where my receipts was but if he could just let me know I put in my phone number for my account to be able to keep status updates. He told me he would wait until I found receipt. Hour later I called back and said I found receipt. It shows 9/20 and he goes, "Well I guess that is when they will be ready. That’s why you need your receipt." He was rude, unprofessional and arrogant.

I said refund it and left to go buy something else to wear to the wedding. Came back with the receipt and other items purchased. They said they wouldn't refund it. Called customer service. They called the store in Lone Tree Colorado 80124 and said there was nothing they could do. So I filed a dispute and made a charge back. Not only that they called me fat and I somehow agreed to wear it tight and open. A complete lie.
Plus the suit was loose in the chest and only very restrictive in the arms. (Couldn't grab a drink from a tray.. Lift a fork to my mouth.. Use a microphone.) This guy that was telling us this wasn't even there when I came in to pick it up. They tried to make us take it.. We refused. Never shop there.. Their 90 return policy is complete BS. We never left with the suit as I couldn't move my arms. Ridiculous.

Poor fit on tuxedo rental, mediocre customer by a manager, and unable to remedy fit issues with tuxedo rental after three attempts. Basically manager stood by the poor quality for my young son’s tuxedo rental when it came to the fit. She told me what did I expect from a rental. I was really upset that this was my third time I brought up the fit of the tuxedo. Hems were short on the slacks, vest was 2 sizes too small, shirt didn’t button all the way down, and creases on slacks were not pressed correctly. I basically heard from the manager that it was my issue and not theirs. I had no tuxedo for my event that was one day away and wanted reimbursement. I only received a portion of what I paid due to “I needed to cancel 2 weeks in advance…" If I would have known two weeks in advance the fit was poor I would of cancelled the rental altogether. Don’t waste time and money at Men’s Wearhouse!

We asked about the rentals for an upcoming prom. My young man is a big kid and can be difficult to fit. Everything seemed to be going well. She said she could get us what we needed for $220. I thought that was a lot for a rental but it included shoes, socks, tie, pants, shirt, vest and jacket so we decided to do that. Well when my kid went to put everything on for prom.. well they included a sock that was too small. We didn't have time to fix that so he ended wearing his athletic socks. I called and the employee said that they only give standard socks sizes with the rentals... WHAT?? So my kid had to get a size 14 shoe and you think the "up to size 12" is going to be comfortable? That is absolutely absurd!! Such a small inexpensive thing to not be done right. 😠

I am beyond frustrated with Men’s Wearhouse. I was promised a free tuxedo for my wedding party after renting several tuxes for my groomsmen. The sales rep specifically told me that if I rented five tuxedos, I would get one for free, which seemed like a great deal. But when I went to pick everything up, I was told I’d never been given that offer, and I had to pay full price for the sixth tux. I explained the situation, but the manager didn’t care and refused to honor what I was told. The whole experience was completely unprofessional, and I felt completely lied to. On top of that, the customer service was terrible—no one seemed to know what was going on, and I was passed around between different employees who all gave me conflicting answers. I’ll never trust Men’s Wearhouse again, and I highly recommend you stay far away, especially if you’re planning something as important as your wedding.

Went to the Men's Wearhouse store in Mt Pleasant, SC on Nov 26, 2024. Had good service from the person there to help find the right size for a suit. After trying on several styles and colors from the main store, she suggested a suit from the clearance section of the store. It was a navy suit with pants and was a good fit and met my needs. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to the price charged and only noticed after I got home that I was charged full price less their current 25% discount. The website showed the suit on clearance (more than 60% off), so I called the store to try to resolve. They indicated that the only suits in that style/brand on clearance were the black and grey but not the navy I purchased. They claimed they did not have a full complement of pants in those colors and therefore they were on clearance. Again, my fault for not paying closer attention to what was charged.

Ordered two suits online with the intent of getting them tailored after arrival. When the order processed I contacted them immediately because I realized the shipping address was incorrect and from an old residence. Wrote an email, called, and chatted with customer service before anything was shipped and was told they couldn't update the address. Nothing had shipped yet, and at the time of contact the shipping label hadn't been created yet. So I apparently ordered two suits for whoever lived at an old address. They absolutely refused to update it so it would arrive at my new location. Terrible experience.
