Read the most recent reviews, they echo my sentiments. Bonobos was a fantastic company with excellent service until about 2018. Since then it’s gone from bad to worse. Delivery dates change randomly, email support will not respond, and the advertiser online chat function is never available. Bonobos has hundreds of dollars of my money, and I have no confidence I will ever get my clothes, and no option to cancel the order and get a refund. The other reviews from the last two years tell very similar stories. This company has stopped providing service or, indeed, sales. Please do not make the same mistake we’ve all made here.
I will start by saying my fiancé loves Bonobos clothing and especially the specialty sizing options. For that reason, it was never a question that he wanted to order his wedding tux there. He started shopping a year in advance, but no matching pant/jacket combos were available in the sizes he needed. Thinking we had plenty of time, he signed up for the product waitlist. Fast forward to just three months before the wedding, and not only do we still not have a matching jacket and pants, but he has had over three orders canceled after getting a notification it was in stock on the waitlist.
He has a long conversation going with customer service, and they even admitted it's not a "supply chain issue" (we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt), but in fact an issue on their end with people in the warehouse. They are doing absolutely nothing to remedy the issue, and we're starting to panic about having a tux in time for the wedding. It seems someone else on here had a similar experience. Do not trust them if you are depending on having an item for an important occasion.
Ordered an entire line of clothes. Nothing fit and returned it all. I ordered and second time and they delayed and delayed it until I just gave up and canceled altogether. This company sucks. It used to be good. Not anymore.
I can't recommend enough that you stay away from Bonobos. I went into a guide shop to get fitted and ended up ordering my wedding suit from them. I received the suit jacket in a timely fashion and was told the pants would arrive shortly thereafter. After going back and forth with their customer service team I was informed the pants were never in stock to begin with - so I was sold a product that they never even had. There are plenty of other brands out there and I'd recommend looking elsewhere to avoid the headache this place brings on. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had.
Purchased an item on sale along with several other regular-priced items. Sale item was clearly mislabeled and more than one size smaller than the label indicated. This was obviously an error by the manufacturer. Because it was a sale item, they will take it back and or send the correct size. They will not even acknowledge or reply to several requests by phone and submission to customer service.
Don’t waste money on sale items, they must be dumping bad inventory. Until this happened I would have considered purchasing again. I only had two experiences and spent over $900… can’t further support a company that has no consideration to make things right. If I just didn’t like them, that would have been on me and would be fine with having to keep them, but these are clearly not the correct size as ordered. The other 5 pairs purchased were labeled the same size and fit just fine.
I placed a $300 order on 12/2 for the majority of my bf's Xmas gifts, which is 22 days before Xmas! You would think that's plenty of time to get my order on time. It was shipped on 12/16 with a notification that it could take 10-11 business days from that point on. It's 12/21 today, so I figured I should check the FedEx tracking info, but there are no further updates from FedEx since the order was placed on 12/16. I contact support and receive an automated response saying that not only are they so busy with messages from frustrated customers that they probably won't even be able to reply to me. They promise that every order placed before 12/13 is automatically updated to faster shipping, but that doesn't seem to be the case since my 12/2 order has an ETA of 10-11 business days.
Now, I basically have to hope and pray these items arrive on time, and perhaps even drag my butt over to the mall during the new surge of Omicron to make sure my boyfriend has something to unwrap on Xmas morning. This is all very disappointing! Bonobos is not cheap! I created this account simply to leave this review and vent about this. I placed my order many weeks before Xmas. I bet many people will not receive their orders in time for the holidays. This is so disorganized and irresponsible. For for such a bougie company, they can't invest in hiring enough employees during the holidays? Are they too cheap to do that while they charge all this money for their pretentious hipster golf clothes? Bonobos needs to figure out a way to make it up to their customers.
I purchased a pair of pants for my partner 9/29. A few weeks went by and I called the 800 number. No one picked up and the suggestions were an email or a live chat. I sent an email inquiry with all the pertinent information. A few more weeks passed, with no reply, no emails in any folders. I finally reached out to live chat which was painfully slow, it almost seemed like the person was managing many live chats at once. They told me that I should have received an email in one of my other folders, but I did not and rechecked after that suggestion. Super frustrated with the lack of help but I can't get mad an overtaxed customer service rep. Years ago this company used to be good, now it's riddled with shipping delays and terrible customer service. Their position was "it's not us, it's you, you need to check your email, you missed it." We'll take no measures to make it right.
As a long time Bonobos customer it's disappointing to write that this isn't the company it used to be. Shipping delays are horrific and customer service next to nonexistent. I would no longer order anything from them and would advise anyone to get ready for potential long delays. There is no longer customer service numbers only online chats with uniformed telephone persons. It's really tragic since I have bought so much from them and generally love their offerings. No longer a customer. Sad
I bought about 10 items in different sizes figuring I would return the ones that didn't fit (they give you free return shipping), and Bonobos only refunded 2 out of the 4 I returned. ALSO, there was an item that was out of stock, and I got an email saying it will be canceled and refunded. I just checked my credit card and they never refunded the item that they didn't have stock of. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CHARGES AND RETURNS. I love their stuff but I expect more from a company that focuses on online retail.
I am an old customer of Bonobos, since 2013 been wearing their clothes. I made purchase of 7 polo shirts 2 weeks back from Boston store. When I received the parcel, I without checking them put them in my bag, as I was travelling out of USA. When I reached back, open them, I was very, very disappointed with the quality of T Shirts. Very disappointed. I hope bonobos will improve its quality.

We bought a suit a week before it was needed. We spend more than an hour at the store fitting and selecting the suit. We made the order and paid for expedited delivery. Little did we know that the store actually has no information about whether or not the items are available! A day before the deliver, we receive an emailing notifying us that the pants ordered was cancelled -- they do not actually have the pants for the suit we bought! DO not order from this store if you actually need an item by a certain date. They have no information on whether items exist in their storage.
I received an email: "We believe an unauthorized third party may have been able to view some of your account details, including your contact information and encrypted password." Totally unacceptable. It's 2020 and online shopping has been around for 10+ years. In 2019, you claimed my order would be protected. Now my information has been exposed a year later...Any company as large as yours should be able to invest necessary funds to prevent this.
I ordered 2 pairs of dress jeans for a trip that was 16 days out. I immediately received an email stating they had received my order and would update me once the items were "out the door". After a week with no updates, I contacted customer service for an update and was informed my shipment was "estimated" to be shipped in another 5 days. I ordered items from three other websites on the same day for the same trip and received all of those orders within 7 days. All I received from Bonobos was excuses. I do give them great marks for the immediate cancellation of my order and will update on the amount of time it takes to receive my refund. Do NOT order from Bonobos if your order is time-sensitive and when I say time-sensitive, I mean within 2 weeks.
Hello, I have struggled for years to find a pant fit that fits my husband. He played sports all his life and as a result his thighs were bigger than usual. I have tried Athletic Fit for Stretched Washed Chinos and Travel Jeans and Weekday Warrior Dress pants - and now we are loyal customers!!! It fits perfectly his his thighs! The quality is amazing! The look is sophisticated and chic!!!! We will move on to trying other products like dress shirts and summer outfits! But now this is his designer of pants!!! My husband is 38 in waist and 32 length. I got him an Athletic fit and it was perfect! True to the size!
Their website for international orders added over $40 in hidden charges which only appeared after payment page. Contacted customer service (5 days for a reply) who was completely unhelpful. Terrible.
I went to a Bonobos guide shop for sizing and to check some of their items. The salesman told me I would get a 20% discount on my first order placed. I put three polo shirts into my shopping cart, and when I entered the first-time buyer discount code, I received no discount. I asked Bonobos customer service about this and they said that the discount only works for unbundled orders, and because I had bundled the three polos, there would be no discount. They further told me that I could apply the discount to a single polo instead of buying the bundle. A single polo shirt with a 20% discount costs $54.40, which is more than what bundled polo shirts cost ($48 each). So the "discount" code is actually a markup.
The options presented to me were -- make a regular bundled order with no discount, or make a "discounted" single order at a 13% markup.... Sounds like a great deal for the first-time buyer, doesn't it? Don't be fooled, folks. Bonobos makes a nice 20% offer to get you to their website -- just don't expect that they'll actually honor their offer.
The first time we bought your shirts my partner found them of really good quality, so asked me to buy more of them. However, the service in Seattle has been completely horrible! The guy in the shop managed to order the wrong shirts to the wrong location! He entered all the details and submitted everything without confirming with me. I noticed the issue straight away and showed it to them. I gave the correct details (they were having network connection problems as well) and left as it was taking them ages to do anything and was reassured (he said "100%") that they will be able to fix it.
I got an e-mail later on that evening that they did not manage to fix the issue. So I had to pick up the wrong shirts from the wrong location only to go directly to the airport and have to pay for international shipping as I was returning them from the UK. I have a confirmation noting that the shirts were delivered to Bonobos Returns on the 19th April (now it is 29th), but I still have not received neither any confirmation nor my money back. Honestly, this is the worst service I can remember in my life.
I went to a Bonobos guide shop to try on some of their clothing. I really liked the look, feel, and especially the cut of the chinos and the shirts. I say that they had 3-6 shipping, and so I ordered. It took ten days for their clothes to get to me, meaning I ordered on a Friday, and they were scheduled to arrive on a Monday a week later. To me, this is just way too long for an online purchase. When I buy things from England, they take this long. No reason for my order to take so long. I think I will send them back, or else just not buy from them anymore. Be prepared to wait forever for your clothes. It looks like they don't do business on weekends either. They clothes weren't even shipped out until Monday. Overall, the clothes are decent, but pricey; however, their customer service isn't a match for their price.
So, I had read multiple reviews about "Bonobos" and decided to give them a shot. Here's my experience: Went to the website where I was immediately informed of their "SALE". I selected two pairs of pants (same size, different color) and paid for them (around $90, good deal right?). They arrived while I was out of town so I cannot comment on shipping time (good or bad - I was gone two weeks). I opened the box. They were packaged nicely and I'm thinking "Oh, these look nice. I made a good purchase." First pair I try on won't even come close to buttoning (barely got them pulled up) and I ordered 1" bigger than I normally wear. Big disappointment. SO, even though they don't fit, I try the second pair (just in case).
Second pair? Fit great! Even had a little room in the waist. Couldn't be happier. So, I go the website to exchange the first pair. NOPE. They do not allow returns or exchanges when you order anything on sale (even though they advertise it on their website HOME page as "Free Shipping, Returns & Exchanges Free shipping both ways.") so, I paid $90 for a pair of pants I actually like and a pair of pants that may fit a person 5" slimmer than I am. Not a good deal at all after all. My conclusion: If you can try them on IN STORE, it may be worth it. ONLINE? Absolutely not! Caveat Emptor, my friends.
They have high quality products. They are pretty original and stand out in a crowd. Overall, the main reason I like this brand is their consistency with quality. There is always a piece that I can get and wear with many different moods or looks. Also, it's easy to piece together unique outfits that are still on trend.
I like how they ship quick and easy and have a guarantee on your order. No matter what it feels like you're getting a good deal and are feeling safe you won't lose your money and get scammed. There is always a safety net. Maybe, Bonobos should make it more convenient and easier to make orders and have notifications when your delivery is at your door. And also could make a feature where you could looks at size charts on the site to make it easier to look at sizes when you're choosing some apparel. And have more promos and maybe some more coupon codes or promo codes. Other than that, I always get my order and am satisfied with what I get and have pretty much never got a bad order of not being happy with what I got. It is an overall great company and concept and I hope they continue to grow and sell.
I like the style of clothing. They have a large selection of goods too. The colors are bright and vibrant as well. The catalog is full of the latest fashions. It was also easy to shop online with this product line and the greater selection. However, the children's clothing selection should be wider. I also don't like the catalog layout. Nevertheless, the company helps out the community with scholarships for at risk youth.
The clothing is of good to great quality and there is a wide selection of different clothing to choose from! Also the website is really nice and laid out well! It is one of the better clothing websites I have seen! My mom orders from Bonobos and we will continue to order from there. It has been a pleasant experience. The overall experience was very good.
It is very hard nowadays to find clothes that are fashionable, stylish and actually have a good fit, especially with menswear but Bonobos have seemed to eliminate that problem completely with their clothing items. They are an incredible brand of clothing and I am very satisfied. My overall experience with them is something that I am proud to brag about and I am sure to tell other men about Bonobos anytime that I get the chance so they can experience the greatness that Bonobos offer as well. I would never be embarrassed to be seen sporting their items. In addition, when you take into account the quality and appeal of the items you cannot go wrong for their affordable price. And anytime that I order online I am always amazed by how quickly my package shows up right on my doorstep.
I've had a positive experience with Bonobos so far. They are an innovative company that provides one-on-one styling service. Their stores are clean and store associates were quite helpful. Their quality of clothing is also good and they deliver clothes. However, I feel that while they have lots of different styles to choose from, they are quite expensive.
I like that all their clothing comes in a variety of sizes and colorways. They make fun patterns that can work with pretty much any season. They rarely are out of stock with most of their clothing. I also like the attention to detail in most of their garments. They have great return policy as well and it is easy to deal with employees at their retail stores. They make it super easy to return items even if I had them longer than the original receipt date. It has been an excellent experience. But if they made their product cheaper I would be very happy. They need more of an internet presence as well and I would also like to see their stuff in more department stores.
They offer premium brands at an affordable price. I like how durable the clothing is and how well it holds up over a period of time. I also like the deals I get at the online retailer and the decent selection that they offer on their website. But maybe they could offer more variety of brands and have more discounts during the seasonal sales promotions. Also, if they offered a less expensive yet faster shipping option would be also nice. Nevertheless, it was a very positive ordering and shopping experience overall to me. The website is simple and easy to use and the site is that of a premium one. I will do business with them again in the future.
I love Bonobos very much. I like the specific emphasis suits, trousers and denim very much and it has everything I need. The quality of this product which I ordered is really good. I also like the services and delivery time, I got everything which I expect before buying this product. Everything is perfect but it will be more good if there are more unique products that others don't have and some awesome offer available. Nevertheless my overall experience was really amazing.
I really like the features of this website and I use it often. I have gotten so many articles of clothing over the past few months from this online store and I am very happy with it. I haven't had to return anything. The prices are somewhat high, though I know when I'm ordering from this website, I'm getting high quality clothing, so I'm willing to pay a little extra. My overall experience with Bonobos has been great. They always deliver on time and I am content with the shipping prices.
A satisfying experience. They have clothing that is high quality, comfortable and fits me perfectly. They have clothing for many different types of occasions and it has different types of high quality fabrics for low and expensive cost at a good value. But I would improve the variety of products they sell like more underwear, socks, t-shirts, belts, jackets and include more variety of fabrics in the clothing manufactured.
