Wow, this is a new low for Fetch. They sent me an approval letter for a routine claim as usual but after the 2-5 days waiting period the money wasn’t being deposited in my account. After over a week and an email thread of about 76 responses between myself and customer service (I think this person is higher up than the front line phone people) they are playing games with smoke and mirrors as to where my money is, even trying to insinuate that they reimbursed me 2 weeks prior to the approval of the claim. Just because it was in the same amount because my dog’s PT comes to the same amount biweekly. How dumb do they think I am? They are the insurance company! Shouldn’t they know this isn’t possible or even legal? I’m going to have to get involved with the CFPB, which is a huge headache if I ever hope to see this money.

Horrible records keeping, not very secure, too many hoops to jump through, keep requesting records they already have to delay actions. Fetch is a from all appearances and my experience over ONE deductible claim, they didn't even have to pay anything, a complete scam.

Complete and total insurance scam. Started Fetch Insurance in August 2024 paying approximately $50 per month and submitted a claim in March 2025 because I had to take my dog to the vet because she was vomiting. They denied the claim because they said she had been to the vet within the last 12 months for vomiting. Literally, anytime a dog gets sick, they vomit, even if the root cause of sickness is a completely different reason. This insurance company will always find a way to deny a claim. Avoid at all costs.

I've had Fetch Pet Insurance for my four-year-old dog since he was a puppy. Over the years, I expected small premium increases, but they just raised it dramatically—from $64 to $104—with only one day's notice! When I called to ask why, the representative simply said it was due to his aging. He's still only four! I’m extremely frustrated. I will definitely be looking elsewhere.

Very misleading company. After my insurance went into effect I had my dog treated for some nausea and diarrhea she had been having for a day. They denied the claim and informed me that since this was her first visit and record for them they would deny any future claims involving vomiting and diarrhea as this is apparently her baseline according to them. This after I had made multiple calls after they tried to dismiss my claim for not having a year of medical records on a dog I've had for 3 months. Their prices aren't bad but in the end I just ended up paying for both insurance and a full vet bill. Not a service I plan on renewing again.

I just got Fetch Pet Insurance last year 2024. Now they deny any claim I submit??? I went to BBB Better Business Bureau and they gave them an A+. I am so sad I did not go with one of the other pet insurances. You can tell all the good reviews were a few years back and probably submitted by their employees and they actually respond to those reviews. It is now 2025 and I will cancel ASAP. Each payment we all make each month just keeps them going, so they can hurt more pet owners. I can’t wait for word to spread and they go out of business. I wear a shirt to my dog park each morning that says, "Don’t get Fetch Pet Insurance. Ask me why." Luckily I live in a huge tourist town Las Vegas, so I can educate a ton of people. Keep spreading the news and I am going to BBB next to file a complaint.

I am absolutely outraged by the way Fetch Pet Insurance is handling my claim. I filed a formal appeal over a week ago, yet I have received no response, no acknowledgment, and zero effort to resolve the issue. I have emailed every available contact, including the claims department and customer support, and all of my messages are being completely ignored.
My veterinary bill totaled $487.37, but Fetch decided to reimburse me only $110.00—a mere fraction of what should have been covered. My policy states that eligible expenses should be reimbursed at 80% (after a 20% copay), but instead of following this structure, Fetch applied arbitrary reimbursement caps that were far below the promised percentage. They completely excluded certain charges under the excuse that they weren’t covered, even though these services were clearly part of routine and necessary veterinary care.
Not a single dollar was applied toward my $400 deductible, meaning my coverage is practically useless until I pay even more out of pocket. It turns out that Fetch has hidden reimbursement limits on all wellness services, which they don’t clearly disclose upfront. For example, my pet’s comprehensive exam was only reimbursed at $30, vaccinations at $10 each, and lab tests at a fraction of their actual cost—despite my policy supposedly covering 80% of expenses after copay.
Since submitting my appeal, I have received no communication whatsoever. Fetch has ignored every single email I’ve sent. This company refuses to engage with customers once they take your money and does not process appeals or respond to formal complaints. Since Fetch Pet Insurance refuses to act in good faith, I will be filing formal complaints with the State Department of Insurance, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
This company is a scam, and I strongly warn every pet owner to stay away. They gladly take your premiums but will do everything in their power to avoid paying claims. If you want real coverage that actually protects your pet, look elsewhere. Fetch Pet Insurance is nothing but a fraudulent, deceptive business that preys on trusting pet owners.

My dog tore a muscle and Fetch would not cover any of it! 3 weeks of submitting vet medical records and vet bills which they said were never received! Eventually they denied my claim stating xrays and sensation was not covered and his surgery to fix torn muscle was a pretty existing condition. Beware. This is a scam company.

Terrible. Please avoid this company. They raised my premium $110 per quarter and lowered the reimbursement rate because I made a claim last year. Very hard to work with, completely uncaring. I have been with them 7 years, my dog is 8, after filing a claim my policy was raised by 25% while reimbursement was lowered. I love my dog but I am retired and can't afford their Usury rates. Trying to push me off their coverage when I need them most.

Very disappointed with my Fetch experience. I've always had pet insurance and I usually go with Petline but thought I would try something new. What a mistake. I have a mixed terrier breed and am paying over $200 per month now in fees. Randomly last fall, Petline said the pet care in my postal code warranted an increase that over doubled the cost monthly. Now that my dog is 10 years old, I didn't think it was a viable option to go to another provider. I've made one claim in the past 8 years (we got him as a rescue at 2 years old) and a 2nd claim recently that was denied because I was two weeks past the 90 day period. I have Petline on my big Saint Bernard and have had no issues getting claims approved. I would never use Fetch again.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. This company is incompetent. They won't approve anything and are terrible. Your denied claims DO NOT go towards your deductible. Something I wish they would have disclosed in the policy when signing up. My pet had a cough due to something completely different than what he is dealing with now, and they won't approve his claims of over $1500 because they think it's pre-existing. I even had my Vet write a letter claiming it was not pre-existing. Still won't approve.
I then used their Rx platform to order my dog's antibiotics, I paid for next day shipping. Well it's been 6 days and my pet's meds are still not here. When I asked about it, they said someone used a USPS label instead of the FedEx label they were supposed to use that I paid for. The rep said that it would be delivered today, but now it's saying tomorrow. What the heck. I HATE THIS COMPANY. I have never used such a sad excuse for a pet insurance company till Fetch. My pet is battling pneumonia and a collapsed lung and has been without his antibiotics for an ENTIRE WEEK. While the reps are competent and accommodating, the company they work for is such a scam. I am spreading this far and wide and plan to take this to social media to spread the word even further not to use this company.

What a nightmare. They don't allow direct billing. They don't allow you to just submit receipts, insisting on medical records to accompany every claim. And now I learn that they have a 90 day time limit which, if you miss it, they give you nothing. This is a dishonest company, making huge profits by keeping as much of the money that is owed as they can.

I have had coverage since 2020. After moving less than 5 miles away I updated my address and my policy was "re-instated" My monthly billing went from $85 to $127. When I called to discuss this I was told that my monthly payments were actually going to be $156!! Telling me that the $127 reflected on my online account is a "technical error." Monthly rate almost doubled for moving 5 miles!

Absolutely a waste of money. Stay away. I had incurred approximately -$3,600 in vet bills throughout 2024. Fetch's premium cost me about -$500. Fetch reimbursed me for roughly +$500. I cancelled the service after 9 months and figured I broke even on the premiums/reimbursements. Then, 5 months after cancelling the service, they send me an email asking to repay them another -$350 due to some 'internal billing issues'. This is 100% a money grab preying on pet owners that love their pets. Love your pets, pay the vet directly, this insurance is a scam.

Fetch rejected a cherry eye claim on my dog because he had cherry eye in the other eye during our waiting period which was repaired at my expense. We submitted all the documentation with a clean bill of health on the eye claimed. They required every scrap of paper then rejected it without proper review nor will they respond to emails or their complaint line. Completely ghosted and ignored. No resolution, communication no human and will not provide the insurance you purchased.

Fetch treats your pet like a car. Unfortunately, Fetch had to payout more in the first year of my policy than I paid into it. I had a $300 deductible and 10% copay. I received notice that Fetch is changing my deductible to $500 and 30% copay upon renewal of my policy in February 2025. I was expecting them to increase my premium like they always do. Fetch will not reduce my deductible and/or copay for even a higher premium. God forbid your pet had cancer, which would be very expensive. Fetch could cancel your policy or make it cost prohibitive upon renewal. I should have listened to all of the negative Fetch reviews. Contrary to what they say, your policy and/or your premium is not dictated by the breed and location. It is dictated by the $ amount of the claims you submit. I am looking into other plans.

Avoid this company at all costs. My premium has went up 500% from age 1 to age 7 and I've never put in one claim. This company makes it so painful to pay the premium as time goes on so that you cancel the policy like I did. It's a total scam. If I would have never paid them and saved it, I'd have more than enough to cover the max of their plan and my dog is still relatively young. Don't listen to people who have put in a claim that got paid because I would almost guarantee that it's about 5% of the customers while the other 95% of the customers are not and allowing this company to make it rain in money.

Fetch has violated my human and Charter-protected rights as a disabled person by denying a six-day accommodation for a delayed claim submission, which was due to my cognitive disabilities. I filed a claim with the HRTO, to which they initially failed to respond. When they finally did respond, it was to request an extension of the response deadline amounting to an astonishing 67 days. The hypocrisy is glaring. Upon responding, they escalated their stance, reinforcing their ableism and discriminatory actions. The level of blatant ableism exhibited by Fetch is appalling, reminiscent of a bygone era. Their conduct has been profoundly egregious. This case is ongoing.

Beware of Fetch Pet Insurance - Dishonest and Fraudulent. I had a terrible experience with Fetch Pet Insurance. They provided a specific deadline on their website for claim submission, which I followed exactly. After submitting, they turned around and claimed the actual deadline was the day after what they originally stated, resulting in my claim being denied. This feels like a deliberate scam to avoid paying out claims. If you're considering pet insurance, avoid Fetch! They engage in dishonest practices and seem to mislead customers on purpose. Absolutely frustrating and untrustworthy. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I am the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I unfortunately chose Fetch pet insurance for my own pet. They are very difficult to deal with. They're very slow to pay claims, and you have to submit everything more than once and it still takes them well beyond their two week stated payment time frame. I have had claims waiting for more than a month. I cannot and will not recommend this to my clients because they are so difficult to deal with. There are better insurance companies out there.

Very Expensive, Claims Denied, Must Cancel to Speak with Customer Service. My first and only claim took 30 days to process and was denied. It was denied because I hadn't had a wellness check up 90 days prior to the claim date. You also have to wait two weeks once the plan is active before you can submit a claim. So they get two weeks pay without having to work. It's all for the benefit of themselves not the customer or the pet. I canceled the plan. They refused to refund any of the two months I already paid. I did some searches on the Internet again wondering how I missed how bad they are and found most of their reviews are paid reviews. The customer reviews you have to dig for like in Yelp, where they receive a 1.5 star out if 5 being poor service. One guy said they are a complete rip off and I agree.

I have had FETCH pet insurance for my currently 6 year old dog since he was a young puppy (back when it was PetPlan). I have submitted numerous claims for him for various illnesses and accidents over the years and every claim was handled smoothly. Yes, premiums go up annually and there is nothing 'cheap' about pet insurance, but I figure it is the price to be paid for knowing I can afford to give my pet the medical care he deserves should the occasion arrive (and they often do which is why insurance is not cheap). The online submission system is easy to use and reimbursements are deposited in your bank account quickly. Just be sure to ask for both the invoice and medical records (2 separate pdfs) from your vet to submit with your claim.

FETCH deserves zero stars! We were loyal customers for over a decade and our one and only claim for our dog's "end of life" care was delayed and denied. They actually separate out the "body care" from the medical procedure to ensure the deductible is not met. Customer service is terrible and almost impossible to reach by phone. For a disabled person who lost his Beloved therapy dog, this was extreme cruelty. Avoid this heartless insurance shark!

I rescued a older dog from a testing facility, paid for fetch insurance and waited the waiting period, then when I submitted my first coverage I learned AFTER the fact they don't insure older dogs that you don't have the complete history of their lives, on top of that there is no HUMAN you can actually speak to during the process. I do not recommend fetch. Their business practices do not support animals that truly need coverage, fetch, like all insurance companies are in it for the fees you pay, not the health, safety and peace of mind our pets and we deserve.

There is a problem with this alleged great insurance NOT. My Vet has given them a year of SOAP notes and I got one claim paid. It took a couple of months. Then I submitted two new claims.. They keep saying they need other soap notes, but it is a game.. They just refuse to pay simple bills. 5/23/24 $161 and 7/8/$124, ear infection and a rash.. That is pretty straightforward. They have what they ask for. Now they want another year ago, which I sent already. I will not harass my Vet any longer as they are very busy with sick animals. All the pre paperwork should have been already processed as I noted.. Their website is not good either. I have spent so much emotional and physical time of this.. Whatever they get, it is never enough. DELAY for two weeks at a time. They do not live up to SIMPLE and EASY QUICK PAY. No, not true. Be very careful. I am now losing $$ with autopay.. which they have no problem taking.. I am done and at a loss..

Been with them from at least 2019 to 2024, they signed me up for a competitively priced premium but jacked up the rates each year until I'm paying 1000$ a year for two domestic shorthair cats with no medical issues. Until now I've filed only 1 claim, for an xray on a swollen limb 4 years ago (~300$ payout), so it seems legitimate until recently I filed for reimbursement on a 1000$ vet bill for a possible bladder infection. Denied it this time; they found some technicality relating to the timing of filing notes. Over 5 years of paying them, but they're going to weasel out of some loophole when it comes time to pay you back. I've found a new insurer, for less than half the price, with loopholes, claim windows, and only a 3/14 day wait period on accidents/illness, which I won't mention for impartiality but, Fetch is a grift.

I don’t care about my plan fees increased from $40 something monthly 10 years ago to over $300 monthly nowadays. Coz I believe the plan can provide coverage for my pet. However, when my pet past away last month, I called them and asked them about the coverage. The representative told me it covers max Hi CAD$1000 and deductible is not applicable in final payment. Vet advised the total final payment is around $800 and therefore I believe my insurance will cover all.
Today I was told they can only cover $280 due to they are not covering cremation. The major expense is the cremation and they are not cover. Do they expect me to take my pet’s dead body home?!?! In the past 10 years, I only made less than 4 minor claims which is only a few hundreds dollars each. Now they suddenly told me cremation is not included but not at the beginning when I called for information. That is totally unacceptable. I will not go for that company and I don’t recommend this company to anyone as I also see other people’s bad reviews to this company are legit. This is a scam.
