Wayfair is the worse online company. The product are not good quality and customer service is awful. I rather shop from Ikea which is known for bad quality. It's so hard to do a return when customer service is horrible.

Bought a Mobile Nesting Ergonomic Genuine Leather Executive Chair BYX2935, for $214. The seat fabric started cracking 1 year and 4 months later. When this happened, you could see that there was no leather in the chair. Also purchased 5 year warranty from Allstate, which would not cover it. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Wayfair is a public trading company but it bluntly cheats customer on a less than $300 purchase. I purchased a kitchen prep table in February 2024. They got it delivered to the wrong address. After I contacted them to report the problem, they wanted me to go to the police station to report theft to get a police report number. The officer who helped me on the phone stated that it was not a theft. Since I could not get the report number, wayfair said it was my problem and suck it up. No refund or replacement. Never again I or anyone in my family and circle of friends will purchase anything from wayfair ever again. What a shame!

Attempted to order from Wayfair twice using afterpay ON THE WAYFAIR APP. Wayfair refused to assist or do anything except sell their credit card. Then finally ordered the set and the price SUBSTANTIALLY dropped 2 days later. Contacted them for a price adjustment and they refused. Ask if I could return it and repurchase for the lower price and was told I can but will have to pay the shipping costs. Was planning to wayfair to purchase my furniture for my new home. Thank god I only ordered one thing. DO NOT USE WAYFAIR.

I recently purchase a bed from Wayfair, but unfortunately I this was a terrible experience. The the bed advertised by Wayfair differs from the one shipped to me. Following is why I am deeply disappointed regarding this purchase and the handling of the matter by Wayfair. 1. Despite already having paid for a handyman to remove my old bed and bring the box upstairs (as he was the person I hired to assemble the new one), I am now faced with additional expenses to hire him again to repack and bring the bed downstairs. 2. I am required to arrange my schedule to be present at home for the entire day for the pickup.
3. I am obligated to await the receipt of the bed by your company before a refund can be processed. 4. As a result, I am left without a bed and will have to resort to sleeping on the floor until I am able to purchase a replacement after the refund is processed. Up to this point, Wayfair has taken no action to compensate for the inconvenience and distress caused.

I recently bought a queen bed, only to discover upon delivery that it was in a completely different color than the one I had ordered. Upon contacting the seller, I was informed that the discrepancy arose from inaccuracies in their product images. Despite my attempts to obtain a refund, I was unsuccessful, as I was instructed to await a decision from their resolution team. This experience serves as a cautionary reminder that product photos may not always reflect the actual item, potentially leading to unexpected outcomes when making purchases. Be aware!

Needless to say, I'll be closing my account with Wayfair as their new business scheme is not only delaying product shipments but still finding a way to charge the customer.

This is not about a product. This is about the Customer Service or lack thereof. I called to cancel an order that had not been shipped yet, and they shipped it and then charged me for it ANYWAY, even though I cancelled it. They allowed me to cancel one but not both online; so, I called about the one that could not be cancelled online. I explained that I am disabled and can't lift or build the item. I misread the dimensions, so I had to cancel it. I WILL NEVER SHOP WAYFAIR AGAIN! IT IS AGAINST THE LAW THAT THEY TREAT DISABLED PEOPLE and ELDERLY. THIS COMPANY CHEATS PEOPLE.

Tl;dr: Wayfair has their Customer Service reps straight up lie to you, and they'll charge you for items they don't intend to send (without even letting you know).
I placed an order three weeks ago with Wayfair, at which time the product listing said "fast shipping" by the end of the week. I'm not stupid enough to trust them with any item that's backordered. They had no issue charging me for my purchase and taking hundreds of dollars from me. When the window for delivery passed. I emailed them to ask about the item, and they told me it was "awaiting FexEx to pick it up." I allowed them to hold on to my money for another two weeks because of this conversation. This turned out to be a blatant lie, since once the estimated delivery window lapsed, they updated the order status to say "backordered" with a new delivery date of 10 days later. Then that date lapsed, and nothing happened again.
Not once did Wayfair reach out to me about this situation. Leaving out the fact that they have a clear policy to lie to customers, it should be illegal for a company to charge you for an item they don't have in stock IF you did not agree to a backorder. Legitimate companies would not charge you until the item was shipped. Now I'm being told it will take 10 business days to get a refund, which I had to initiate on my own. (I assume had I not, they would have just kept my money and never sent the item?) If you were a customer who had to charge an order to a credit card and couldn't pay it off right away, you'd be paying two months of interest on it before you got your refund. Further, they will not give me a receipt guaranteeing my refund, which is unacceptable given that they've already lied to me once in this process.

Wayfair review: My issues with Wayfair started on November 18, 2023. For me and my wife, I ordered a bookcase storage bed (Invoice # **). The product was advertised to include “White Glove Delivery.” That kind of delivery read to be not only delivery, but also full assembly. The product was shipped November 22, 2023. In the middle of the week (the following week) on November 30, 2023, I had received an automated text that an earlier morning scheduled time was updated to 2pm to 6pm, contradictory to the agreed on time I had with a representative, Jessie. I called Wayfair and first briefly spoke to a representative, Haylie (unknown spelling), however the call ended/disconnected on her end. This was very displeasing.
I called back a 2nd time. I spoke to Tammy (unknown spelling). She claimed to be a “manager.” She advised me that they could not change the delivery timeframe, and that Jessie had misinformed me and not properly advised that it was a 7am to 7pm delivery window. FURTHER, she then told me that my delivery did NOT include assembly. I advised her of the “white glove delivery” that the product was advertised with. She told me they would not be providing the originally advertised included assembly. Instead, she offered $245 back and off my order. I asked for her manager. Tammy connected me in to her manager, Sean. Sean was completely useless and represented Wayfair just as poorly. He was unable to do more than the $245 refunded to me. I took that refund and was forced to be prepared to assemble the entire bed frame. Tammy and Sean were the first 2 representatives who were awful and gave a poor image for Wayfair.
On December 2, 2023, the delivery guys arrived. They were prepared to assemble as well, but were unaware of the information I had that they were not assembling but only delivering to the room(s) of my choice. They called their supervisor who confirmed such. Subsequently after they brought in the boxes, I was forced to assemble (which I am fully capable of, but was already on a long 7 day work stretch). It should be noted that the headboard comes mostly assembled with the 2 top middle drawers already installed. After I completed perfect assembly, it was discovered upon having to carefully open the top middle headboard drawer, that the drawer was damaged. It was apparent that it was originally installed with the wood stain still wet and it subsequently stuck to the upper board.
This situation forced me to call Wayfair and I spoke with a representative, Morgan, who then transferred me to another department. I then spoke with Vivian (in the parcel department). She was very understanding and the proper image for Wayfair. After I explained the damaged drawer situation, I was emailed a link to electronically submit my photos of the drawer (which I did). She then first offered me $409.27 as a refund OR that Wayfair replace that top middle drawer. Cosmetically, an undamaged drawer was the preferred route, so I accepted that instead of that monetary refund. They were then to be ordering a replacement drawer and I subsequently received an email.
On December 7, 2023, I received a call from Emily (the next pleasant representative). She advised me that the parts department was not responding to them. She first offered me a no-strings-attached refund. I told her as much as a full refund would be nice, I would much rather have an undamaged drawer to replace the current one that had come damaged. She offered to send ANOTHER whole entire bed frame (of the same that I previously ordered) no cost to me. I told her I would not need the entire bed frame. Through our conversation, it was agreed that when that new bed frame were to be delivered, that I open Box 1 on the delivery truck (which contains the already assembled headboard and drawers) and I simply remove 1 undamaged drawer to replace the one I have dealt with. Then, the delivery guys simply keep everything else on the truck and take all that back to Wayfair. That whole new unit was supposed to have shipped on December 18, 2023.
On December 28, 2023, I had an online chat through the Wayfair website with Jeremy. I presumed that with the Christmas holidays, there could be a delay, but it was now 10 days beyond the original told ship date. Jeremy checked and advised there was a delay on getting the bed frame because they were out of stock, at the time. The shipment was pending. He told me as soon as it ships, I will receive an email. Guess what?! NOTHING!! I was and have been giving Wayfair more than ample time to resolve this fiasco of theirs. On January 24, 2024, I called and spoke to a Marianne. She said she was setting it up for a “Case Manager” to call me. I told her if I was at work and could not answer the phone, they would need to then email me. That was all the agreed upon communication over the matter. Nobody could get me in touch with Emily, when I requested such. HOWEVER, I never received a call or email from any Case Manager.
On February 5, 2024, I called Wayfair again. I requested to be transferred to a supervisor. I spoke with a Beth. I explained my reason for calling and that now I want the full refund that Emily had originally offered me. At this point, I am done with waiting for the replacement drawer or entire frame just to obtain a drawer, and will take the refund offered to me. Beth started off by telling me that they typically ask for the product back if they were giving a refund. I advised her that was NOT happening after all the crap that Wayfair has put me through in the last 2 to 3 months. Beth said she could not do anything unless the product is returned, donated, etc to an offline team. (Her words.) I demanded for this issue to be escalated above her head.
I then spoke with a manager, Shevonese, who claimed to be the “highest form of escalation.” I told her at this point, I need to speak with an executive or someone in the corporate office. She advised she could not do that, but only put in a request to the Executive Team to contact me. She could not guarantee anything. She said I would receive an email. I received an email, within a couple days, for a supposed return of my already assembled bed frame that my wife and I have been comfortably using for the prior couple months, BUT not using that damaged drawer. I’m still waiting on the Wayfair Executive Team to respond to me. I leave that email alone, as there is no way the product is going back. I am giving Wayfair more than ample time to properly resolve the whole fiasco.
On February 27, 2024, I received a call from a representative (Jamil). This was a very unpleasant call for both of us as he ignited the flame that has been flickering. This is now a wildfire! He was calling to set up return of my current bed frame. It did not matter how many times I told him that was NOT happening. We both cut each other off on the phone several times. I told him that unless he can refund me at least $500 for all the problems I have had on this, then we have nothing more to discuss and I will be reporting the Wayfair company. He would not do anything better, and I told him we have nothing further to discuss.
After searching online for any corporate number, I ended up calling the generic business number (#617-532-6100) that my phone’s caller ID read when Jamil called. The first woman I spoke to (I was unable to get her name) attempted to search and give me an (800) number for corporate, but she was abruptly cut off and disconnected on her end. That’s suspicious! I called again and spoke with a Christine. She did what she could, and was very understanding. She was pleasant, similarly to Vivian and Emily. She provided a corporate office number of 801-371-7711 for me to try calling. The area code is out of Utah, I noted, and not in Boston. After I called that number, I could not get through. It appears to be a number more for current Wayfair employees or people that have applied to work for Wayfair. Christine still had attempted to help get me in contact with the corporate office.
Wayfair has failed miserably in properly resolving the situation. Wayfair falsely advertised their product with “white glove delivery,” to include assembly. Wayfair did not provide a replacement undamaged drawer, nor honor the initial monetary discount, or a refund for the damaged product. It is unfortunate I have to report this problem, since Wayfair did okay with a few prior orders of mine. Wayfair is NOT likely to receive any further orders from me in the future. This has been written as a warning to other consumers. BUYERS BEWARE!

I purchased a pair of Asul Armchairs with Nailhead Trim at $213/chair this month. I needed a couple of chairs with some colors for the living room. 2. Once you look on their site and give your phone number and email, they will send you messages and emails incessantly day and night.
3. The site does not mention that they will charge a hefty fee for returning. I paid ~$79 for returning. I had to take it back to FedEx facility.

Keeping my price; deed information from access from me, the owner and denying me any way to make payments because of the locked account is absolutely ludicrous and unethical. Ordered a Serta chair. Good price. Cute chair. Getting the chair and the chair itself was a nightmare. Their shipper, Fed Ex (the only shipper they use) said they would deliver on a certain day. Waited all day. Nothing. Next day, received more emails from Fed Ex. They're delivering today. Waited all day. Nothing. However, KI received a late email that Fed tried to deliver the chair. No they didn't. I was right here. Also in the message, I needed for their next "window of opportunity" before they would deliver again. ??? Window of opportunity? So I called Wayfair. Their response was they don't help with things like this. I had to file a complaint with Fed Ex. I did.
Next day, I received another notice that Fed Ex would be delivering today. I changed my plans and sat there all day. Nothing. So I called Wayfair and canceled my order. Wayfair has an interesting and scary return/refund process. They said I still had to wait for the chair, then refuse it, then it gets sent back to Serta, then Serta files a report, AND THEN you get your money back. That's the process. Too bad if you don't like it. You don't even get a confirmation #.
Once Wayfair takes your money, it becomes the buyer's responsibility to find the product/chair. Right after I canceled the order with Wayfair, the Fed Ex person finally shows up with the chair. So I called Wayfair to cancel the cancellation. Next was opening the package. Another nightmare. Only 1/2 the chair was there. Cushions, yes. But no legs or other pieces. It was a legless chair. So it's back to Wayfair -- again the general response: Too bad. The chair is now on back order. I asked for how long? No info here, only that I will never get the missing parts. This is what they said. Return it, there are no replacement parts. There will never be any replacement parts. ??? And, the return process is the same as the refusal process except now they email you more paperwork to fill out and YOU, the customer, needs to arrange a Fed Ex pickup. They don't do this.
There was a flyer in the packaging from a True Innovations Seating Solutions. I thought I'll try one more time to get a sane person before I started the return process. This company's info sheet has Serta logos on it, and they state, "If you encounter any issues...do not return this item to the store or website....Contact our customer service department...It's True...Fast, Friendly Customer Service." I tried their website address. It goes to a 404 page. I tried calling but had to wait for a callback. The person that called was not friendly as they promised nor was she even professional. She said they don't handle online orders, you have to go back to Wayfair or Serta. That was it. My question was, then why is your notice in the box? I so far have spent about 26 hours on this project. From waiting (I had to wait in a commercial building that is closed for the season), to calling customer service, to filing complaints, to filling out a survey, etc., etc.
What did I get for all this time? A legless chair that has to be taken to Fed Ex and hope that Fed Ex and Serta have it together enough to file the report(s) that gets me my refund. Since they were so inept at delivering the chair, and they forgot to put all the parts in the package, I'm not holding my breath. Wayfair used to be a good company. I've ordered from them before, but it's been about a year. Now they are just a 3rd party that takes your money and if there is a problem, it's your problem. They could care less. Actually, that's not completely true...They did try to contact me when I was out of town. (Another long story...) When that didn't work, a CUSTOMER HAPPINESS CONCIERGE emailed me. A HAPPINESS CONCIERGE??? Just fill the orders correctly and help the customer if there is a problem, that's happiness. What a nightmare and it's not over yet.

I placed an order for an expensive couch on January 1st, 2024. My delivery was estimated for January 27th. I took off the day to receive the couch. By noon I called to see where the driver is and I was notified that the couch did not fit on the truck and would not be delivered when scheduled. I am upset because no one bothered to reach out and tell me this, I had to call to inquire. The delivery was rescheduled for February 2nd between 7:30am and 11:30am, I again took off my work to be here for the delivery. By 10am I called to check the status of the couch and yet again I was told that I would not be receiving my couch today, it would need to be reordered and a new delivery date established. Your company did not know where the couch was. This is frustrating enough and to feel like I had to reach out again because your company failed to communicate again. Two massive mistakes over and over with zero communication being the worst part.

Buyer beware. You do not get what you pay for. I ordered a piece of artwork. It was important to me that the art had the right hues. Unfortunately when I received it the hues were totally different. When I contacted Customer Service and uploaded a copy of the picture I received and the picture they had posted on their Website they tried to tell me that it was the exact same picture. While I would have to agree that it was the same flower the hues were all wrong. When I asked for a return shipping label they said that the item wasn’t returnable as it was a special order (even though it was shipped the very next day). I paid $88.08 for a picture that does not go with my room.

I bought an outdoor /indoor carpet and the colour looked brighter and also cheap quality in person than it appeared on the website. Which did not suit the space so I needed to return it. It is over $50 to return a $190 carpet! I thought the return policy was free if the product did not appear to be the quality or colour on the website. I won’t be buying from Wayfair in the future because the pictures on the website might not look like the product in person and then returning it is very expensive. When I buy from Amazon, I have never had trouble with returns… It’s free if I’m not happy with the product.

Most items on Wayfair can be found elsewhere under different names/skus on similar sites for FAR less than what they are selling it for. Wayfair banks on their customers not knowing how to research. Use a reverse image search on google to see if the “sale” price is actually a good price before buying! I research retailer pricing for a living and have found that Wayfair is ALWAYS the highest price for the same exact item on similar sites. They raise the price and then slap a sale label on it hoping you won’t look into it. Don’t give this company your money, they are scamming you.

I ordered floor tile when Wayfair was having a sale. It was promoted as $2.36 sq foot. I needed 3900 square feet for a new house build. I contacted Wayfair and they helped me place the order. Their site indicated 3 tiles per box and each tile was 4 sq feet. So I should order 325 boxes. I received 325 pieces of tile instead of 325 boxes. (Actually received 323 pieces, but that is not the true issue!) When I contacted Wayfair, they told me a mistake had been made in the listing and would not honor the price at $2.36 sq foot. It was actually $7.08 sq foot. In order to get all of the remaining tile I need, I would have to pay around an additional $17,000! They did offer a 35% discount on the initial purchase to offset their mistake which would equal @ $3200. That means I would pay an additional $13,800 over the agreed amount. I do not understand how a retailer cannot stand behind a verified price! Buyer beware!

My experience with Wayfair.ca has been nothing short of a nightmare, marked by disappointment, frustration, and regret. Six months ago, I made the grave mistake of purchasing an L-shaped leather sofa seat from their website, only to be met with abysmal quality and woeful durability. At first glance, the sofa appeared to be a promising investment, boasting sleek design and purported durability. However, the facade of quality quickly disintegrated, much like the sofa itself. Within a mere six months of mild use, the sofa’s frame cracked and splintered, rendering it unfit for seating. The once plush cushions sagged and lost their shape, offering as much support as a deflated balloon. The leather upholstery, advertised as resilient and easy to maintain, proved to be as fragile as tissue paper, succumbing to tears and frays with alarming ease.
The supposed pinnacle of comfort transformed into a monument of discomfort, a constant reminder of my folly in trusting Wayfair.ca. Their customer service, touted as responsive and accommodating, proved to be as insubstantial as their merchandise. Attempts to rectify the situation were met with bureaucratic indifference and an utter lack of accountability.
In light of this egregious experience, I implore others to heed my warning: steer clear of Wayfair.ca at all costs. Their products are nothing more than hollow shells of promises, destined to crumble under the slightest scrutiny. Save yourself the anguish and financial burden, and seek refuge elsewhere for your furniture needs. In conclusion, my encounter with Wayfair.ca has been a harrowing journey through the depths of consumer despair. Let my misfortune serve as a beacon of caution for those tempted by their enticing facade. Wayfair.ca may offer convenience, but at what cost? Buyer beware, for the price of their merchandise far exceeds its worth.

Then, when you inevitably request a refund, they will screw you over and leave you stuck with a six foot box that’s over 100 lbs and just tell you to donate it to some unsuspecting charity. They recommend me to a veteran’s charity.. Sure! The veterans are SO WORTHLESS that they would want HALF A COUCH? What an immoral, unfeeling, totally irresponsible response! What dirtbags. Maybe dispose of it they say?
They don’t care that I was barely able to get it into my apartment. It’s so heavy let alone that it would never fit in my car or I would have to PAY to dump it somewhere. I’ve had to contact customer service SEVEN times and their only response now is “our system won’t let us.” YOU SENT IT!!! Unsend it! How hard is it to print out a label and tell someone to get this eyesore out of MY HOUSE?? I could go online and have a shipping label printed in minutes but, no! To keep it short and sweet, Wayfair clearly communicates they don't care about their customers. When there is a mistake on their end you would think they would rush a replacement or do what they can to ship the correction in a couple business days, not a couple weeks. Or if that isn't possible and out of their control, offer a small discount for the customer's inconvenience. They don't have to do any of that, but I also don't have to shop there. There are just too many other places to shop. After I asked for a refund on stuff that never arrived and they were in no hurry to make right, I found better stuff on a different site for slightly less money and it will ship in a couple of days.

Wayfair provided no option for return, but instead stated I needed to reach out to the MFg., however, the # they provided was a non-working #. This bed fell apart once it was used in our guest room. Unfortunately, it was just outside of a "30-day" return option. I disputed this through my CC and Wayfair sent back info to my CC that was purely false and reversed charges. No one at Wayfair would work with me originally and that's why it fell outside a 30-day return.
This was a bed in our guest room and wasn't used as soon as we received it and put it together. We were afraid of the quality but decided it would be fine for a guest room. Stay clear of WAYFAIR! They are not interested in making sure their MFG are reputable and they are not interested in their customers either. We were forced to keep this piece of crap and had to invest additional money to make this bed worth keeping in our guest room. I contacted them about the error and was told that in order for my futon to be sent, I would have to send the other item, which I believe is some kind of mat, back first. I disagreed completely with this plan because this clearly wasn’t a mistake on my end and I wanted my order. My order shouldn't be held hostage until they receive the mat that I didn’t order back. After that argument, my futon was “shipped” but I was told that if I didn’t return the mat to FedEx that I would be charged for it, even though I NEVER ORDERED IT.
How is it an expectation for the customer to fix a shipping mistake that occurred due to a mishap from Wayfair? I was being told over and over that it’s their policy that if a refund, replacement, or return is requested, the product has to be returned, which I understand. HOWEVER, I was not requesting a refund, return or replacement. I was expecting the item I ordered and PAID FOR but didn’t receive. They have HORRIBLE customer service and with this policy, it places the blame of Wayfair’s mistakes on the customers along with the responsibility to fix the mistakes. They expected me to load the large box into my car, find a FedEx and drop off the wrong item and threaten to charge me if I didn’t. I’ve never experienced customer service like this. I ordered a vanity light that looked like would go well in my newly remodeled bathroom. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, the finish was very different from what it looked like in the photos and it didn’t match the existing decor. I returned it to Wayfair and that’s when the nightmare began. The first thing that surprised me was the fact that I had to pay for the shipping to send it back. Next was the fact that they charged me a re-stocking fee, and the kicker was that I had to refund Wayfair for the shipping cost of sending the light to me in the first place. That’s all bad, but it isn’t the end of the drivel. Whenever I open any kind of account that requires payments, I always opt for automatic payments that cover at least the minimum amount due. As with every other account that I have, I signed up for automatic payments to be made to Wayfair.
When I checked the balance of my account it showed the full purchase price of the light, so I assumed that the following month would show that the light was returned and balance would be zeroed out because I already paid for shipping it back. Instead, it showed a credit for the returned light which was less than the price that I paid for it and still had a rather high balance due. I called “customer service”, in quotes because of the lack of actual service. I was told that the reason for the lower amount for the return was due to a re-stocking fee and for the cost of shipping. Though I was angry about the re-stocking fee, I felt that there was nothing that I could do about it so I didn’t argue about it. I did, however explain to the woman that I was talking with that I paid for the shipping to send it back. She replied that there may have been a mistake and that I should check the balance again next month.
I checked the balance again and was shocked to see that even though I didn’t purchase anything since my vanity light purchase, the balance due increased! Of course, I call “customer service“ again and was told that I was being charged a late fee for a missed payment. I told the woman that I was talking with that I signed up for automatic payments and there shouldn’t be any missing payments ever. She put me on hold and then told me that she sees that I signed up for automatic payments and that the fee would be removed.
I then asked her why there was still ANY balance due because I had already paid for shipping the light back and the re-stocking fee should be covered by the minimum balance due. She assured me that everything would be sorted out and that my balance would be zeroed out. The following month reflected another late fee and of course a very high balance due. I called again and was told that the shipping charge was never paid. I told the woman that I was talking to that I paid FEDEX directly in their shipping office and that I still have the receipt. Imagine my surprise when she told me that I was responsible for refunding Wayfair for the “free shipping“ when they sent the light to me. I was livid at this point and simply wanted to end any involvement with Wayfair. I paid the account off immediately and thought that everything going forward would fine.
However, Wayfair wasn’t done yet! They reported late payments to the credit bureau and completely ruined my credit score. I have 27 open credit accounts and all but one of them shows 100% on time payment history. After four failed attempts with Wayfair to correct their own errors I did direct disputes through TransUnion to no avail. One star given, ZERO stars deserved. Wayfair; You’ve got NOTHING that I need!

I have ordered from Wayfair a few times before, mostly art and small things and haven't had an issue. Recently I ordered a rocking chair, so my wife can nurse our upcoming baby. My work gave me a gift card as a congratulations (Mastercard gift card). It wasn't enough to cover the cost so I was going to split it with my own credit card. I couldn't figure out how to pay with 2 cards on the site so we called customer support and they completed the process for us and told us everything went through and was all good. We threw the gift card away.
A couple of weeks later they sent an email with an invoice attached with all the numbers crossed out and replaced with zeroes and that they have cancelled the order. No explanation given. We call to find out what happened and they said that the gift card didn't go through so they cancelled the entire order. They accuse us of inputting the information wrong and say it's our fault. We tell them that we called and ordered by phone and that they input the numbers but they didn't care at all.
Multiple back and forths with customer service, getting different excuses to what happened every time. One person said they would refund the money and send the chair, another said we had to pay again to get the chair and deal with the refund separately, another said they couldn't do anything and we'd have to start over but they'll give us a 10% discount card that we have to use within 1 month. End result is the gift card money is not their problem, we have to deal with Mastercard and I have to ask my work if they have a receipt with the numbers or the money is just straight up gone.
Wayfair have completely washed their hands of their mistake and never even apologized for putting us through all of this (my wife was in tears a couple of times) or to how their employee messed this up in the first place. I've never heard of such poor customer service from a large company like this before and would never consider ordering from them again. It's all Amazon from here on in.

I ordered an item with a specified delivery date. In fact, the “fast delivery” (delivery BY a certain day) is the ONLY reason I made the purchase (at a much higher price) through Wayfair rather than their biggest competitor. When I reached out to customer service, the first person gave me a tracking number, which still hadn’t been listed in “my orders.” Every time I checked, to include during my chat with the Wayfair rep. it said “preparing for shipment.” I checked the tracking number, and the shipping company doesn’t even have the package yet! I reached back out to Wayfair and the next representative told me that delivery dates are never guaranteed, and literally in the next sentence she pecked out in our chat, she said they (delivery dates) ARE guaranteed.
Once I pointed out what she typed, she quickly recanted. She told me it could take up to TEN BUSINESS DAYS for them to get the packaged scanned for shipment and then, if AFTER ANOTHER 10 BUSINESS days, I didn’t hear anything, I could do a return… a return by the way, that I would have to pay shipping for. I asked her to cancel my order and she said that she couldn’t because it was already “on the trailer,” which is the Wayfair trailer, not the company’s trailer that makes the deliveries.
In short, Wayfair STILL has my order. It hasn’t left their facility yet, but she refused to cancel my order and then, she ended the chat. Customer service was TERRIBLE. Based on the awful customer service alone, I’d look elsewhere. It’s not worth spending the EXTRA money through Wayfair for an “up to 20 days after your already promised delivery date” excuse provided by a rude and apparently not very knowledgeable “help” through their customer service.

I have ordered many items from Wayfair and was always pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products and the great customer service...Until recently. I believe that the company has outgrown its capacity to handle the number of orders they now get. They also outsource many products. A few months ago, I ordered a kitchen cart that arrived without the very important cross-bar supports. More recently, I ordered an inexpensive item online and thought that it was on its way. Then I was informed that my payment info was wrong, so I just gave up and purchased the item elsewhere. They had split my order record between two email addresses, one of which I have never used. I spoke at length with rep and was assured the problem would be corrected.
When the item which I had been advised was not going to be shipped arrived (days after the substitute one had been delivered), I called to request a return label. I was informed that I would have to pay the return shipping cost. Needless to say, I just decided to keep the item rather than pay the shipping and go through the hassle of going to FedEx to return it. I will give it as a gift later. A few weeks before Christmas, I saw the perfect item for a gift, and it was on sale. By the time I inserted my information, the sale price disappeared. Within 15 minutes I get another email saying the delivery was cancelled and rescheduled for 1/6/24!! I call again and get Rick who is not very friendly. After several minutes back and forth with him not offering to help at all I asked to talk to a manager. Finally got Tammy who has the same attitude as Rick and says they can't change the delivery once it's cancelled. I proceeded to tell her if they could deliver 1/4/24 to just cancel the order. Since the item that I purchased was an open box item they are now saying that they can only refund me and not send the correct item I'm assuming because of the price difference (which is about $60). As a business you make mistakes and sometimes the cost of those mistakes are monetary. It's sad that it has to get to this point for a company to correct a mistake that they have admitted to. When you have customers come to your place of business and spend their hard earned money just do the right thing if you make a mistake and correct it within reason.

I ordered a Queen bed frame for my teen daughter as a Christmas gift. It has storage doors and a headboard - shelf with LED lights. The price was fair and delivery was pretty fast despite a 1 day delay. The problems started when it was time for assembly. I paid for and scheduled bed assembly for the day after delivery but unfortunately they never did the job. The technician (Bobby) was unprofessional and seemed uninterested in doing his job. He called and told me he was running behind from the previous job and asked if it was okay to come later or reschedule for the next day. We agreed on the next day at 2 pm. I told him it was very important to stay on schedule as this was a Christmas gift and I wanted it done before the holiday.
The next day, Bobby called me at about 12:30 pm asking if he could come earlier because he’d finished the previous job early. I said no, we agreed on 2 pm and I’m not at home right now. He sounded like he couldn’t care less and said he would “play it by ear” because he had other jobs. I called customer service to complain and they promised me that the technician would arrive to do the job. He never arrived and so I called to follow up and he claimed he was “on his way.” He never showed and when I called customer service again to complain, they said that he reported coming to my house and being unable to contact me so cancelled the job. This was a lie because I have cameras and no one arrived at my home. Bobby is a liar and unprofessional.
Wayfair obviously doesn’t vet their technicians or have good customer service. We ended up cancelling the assembly and asking for a refund and I had a friend assemble the bed in about 2 hours. I will never order from Wayfair again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

"Stainless Steel" (though glass would have been acceptable). "Open Box" guarantees a price discount. I also purchased a 3 year Warranty. The product arrived broken and unchecked from its original sale. They added that pics might also be required in the future for proof (of something?); We asked Wayfair to simply pick up the coffee pot. The delivery driver literally pushed the box containing the grill up my driveway and to my front lanai door, opened the door and shoved the box in but didn’t push it in far enough for the door to shut. I was concerned because I was at work and not at home. I called Wayfair, spoke to a supervisor (I have documentation), was told the FedEx supervisor would try to send a note to the driver to get this taken care of, and that the supervisor was given my phone number to call me direct, neither a phone call or the driver returning never happened.
I have an 8 foot tall screen door it was very windy and the door was sprung and now has to be replaced Wayfair says FedEx is the issue, FedEx says act of God. I say both companies are at fault. FedEx hires idiots who don’t care. Wayfair doesn’t give a rat's ** so I am out over $300 for a door replacement and the guilty parties take no responsibility and I have the videos to prove who is responsible. The bars that are supposed to anchor them onto the studs have began to bend. They fall off track because the doors are heavy and obviously the track is not built for the weight. I never tried to reschedule. Original time came and went. No Pro. Spent last hour on Chat Bot with Angi Pro so they could figure out the problem, only to be transferred to Wayfair. By way of cut and paste text, they said there was no Pro available and they rescheduled for a week away. Disappointing all around, especially since I expected the furniture piece to be ready to go now, not later. Grade: F-

I think Wayfair deserves zero stars. I will NEVER shop at Wayfair again. I received my ottoman and it was damaged. It has a hold in the bottom I bought it as a replacement ottoman sleeper. I have had this same one for 15 years. I needed to replace it because my uncle with dementia is staying with me and the old one is finally starting to come apart. They asked me to upload pictures and I did, 3 times. I am still waiting for a return label and/or a call back from the "so-called resolution department". I still have an ottoman with a hole in it and they still have my money. They have not offered to replace or give me a refund. Their customer service gets zero stars as well as management. I advise against buying from Wayfair. Their prices are higher than other retailers for the same items, and their customer service has proven unhelpful. After signing up and not receiving the promised 10% first-time purchaser discount, I couldn't reach anyone during the Thanksgiving holidays. Needing a chair urgently, I made the purchase without the code, hoping to resolve the issue later. Unfortunately, Wayfair only offered a 10% discount code for my next purchase, refusing to credit my account or card. Given my significant $580+ purchase, the 10% off is substantial, and I don't recommend this company.

I took off work to ensure delivery only for delivery to be delayed at 0743. Wayfair only delivers M-F. The reason for the delay is that my item wouldn't fit on the truck. I cannot take off another day to ensure delivery. I'm very upset and I cannot pick up the item myself. I have to settle for porch delivery and hope it's there when I get off from work. Also, the delivery date isn't guaranteed. I spoke to numerous supervisors who cannot accommodate me. This is very unprofessional. I'll never order from here again.

I purposely purchased a product from Wayfair to support the company, although the exact same product was available on Amazon for the exact same price. But it eventually cost me $60 to return to Wayfair, vs. a free return to Amazon, causing me to ask Wayfair why I would buy anything from them that I could purchase from Amazon. They offered no compelling response.
The problem is that this outdoor fire pit is rusted all the way through and left a rust stain on the floor where I assembled it. The material is compromised and will not last long. It is promoted on the website as: “An authentic rust patina gives this product its antique look”. I contend that a "rust patina" is different than significant rust deteriorating and compromising the material. I offered evidence of this, including research indicating: "Patina is a thin layer that forms on the surface of copper, bronze, some stones, wooden furniture and so on." So this was a legitimate reason to return the product in my view and consistent with Wayfair's free shipping return policy. They denied it, prompting my question as to why I should ever buy from them when I can buy from Amazon, per above. I won't make this mistake again.

The short of my negative experience with Wayfair deals with their shipping and inventory process. Wayfair isn't Amazon, which has its own inventory. They provide inventory information provided by sellers; meaning some sellers list items as in stock when they're actually on backorder. You've no way of knowing until after you order. And it doesn't seem like Wayfair cares much for checking these stock discrepancies either, nor do they offer anything but an apology for false arrival information provided on their side.
I've ordered roughly 10 times on Wayfair. Most times, the order came as it was supposed to. Sometimes I've had to deal with things broken during shipping, but that's on the shipper; not the seller. I even got a free $200 from Wayfair once after placing a large order, and was happy to find that there were no strings attached to it. But I've also encountered order delivery dates which aren't honored. Then an email comes, telling you what you ordered wasn't actually in stock, and won't be delivered for almost 2 months. That same product can even show up as in stock again while you wait. Contact their support team, and you'll be told it's not actually in stock, and that the seller is going to receive a request to appropriately show the item as not in stock.
It's one of those large details which you'd think impossible to overlook with competition like Amazon in the fold. Alas, this continues to be an issue. So, while I love Wayfair's product options, their storefront, and their sales, I'd never recommend them to the majority of shoppers. And if you're ever looking for on-time delivery (whether for a birthday, event, or holiday), Wayfair is the last place you should be looking.

Our recent purchase from Wayfair of an electric cooktop revealed false advertising on Wayfair's website, followed by a complete refusal by the company to acknowledge (or correct, or atone for) how this falsity is misleading consumers. In shopping for a new induction cooktop, a major consideration was to find one that has a larger number of heat settings than the usual 10 or 11. The Wayfair website offered a GE unit that the site says has 19 heat settings. We trusted that description, and we bought that model from Wayfair. The description is false. As we discovered after installing the unit, the unit has only 11 heat settings.
In dealing with two different people at Wayfair, I got no help or even any acknowledgment of responsibility for Wayfair's false description. They just tried to palm me off on the manufacturer, which made no sense because GE Appliances had done nothing wrong; GE's description of the model on their own website accurately states that it has 11 settings, and so far the unit has performed the way it is supposed to. The sole problem for us was the false description on the Wayfair website, which led us to purchase a model we would not have purchased if Wayfair had advertised it truthfully. The Wayfair people also kept saying something about a 30-day limit for making complaints about a purchase, which also makes no sense no matter how one interprets that limit, because more than 30 days elapsed between placing the order and receiving delivery, and fewer than 30 days had elapsed since we had the cooktop in our possession.
As of this writing, the false statement about the number of heat settings is still on Wayfair's webpage describing the cooktop that we purchased. I wanted to place a review on the Wayfair website to warn other potential buyers about the false description, but when I tried to do so, I just got a "you have no purchases to review" message--another false statement from Wayfair.

Wayfair, because you use the shipping company and the experience I have had with them, I will never buy from you again. Also, the vanity I bought from Wayfair was found at Bed Bath and Beyond, the same exact thing for about $154 cheaper.

I usually don’t do this and I don’t like to do this either. Wayfair is a terrible company to buy from. I guess that is why their stuff is cheap. The customer service are pleasant but they don’t listen to customer’s choices. I bought a bedroom set, couch, mattress and box spring from them over a month with specific instructions as to the delivery, none of which was followed. What they delivered was damaged. They took it back and tried to redeliver but refused to follow the instructions I told them when it comes to delivering. I ended paying to have them return the item. So full of regrets. Never again will I buy anything from Wayfair.

I have been a Wayfair customer for quite some time, and I absolutely adore the quality of their merchandise. In October, I made the decision to purchase some new quilts for my mother. The assortment of colors, quality, and incredible discounts made it a breeze to select the items, and I snatched them up at the ideal moment. After approximately one week, I received an email with delivery instructions stating that it would be delivered today. Despite diligently monitoring the area where I was expecting it, nothing materialized.
After another week passed, I made contact with Christina, a representative from Texas, who I found to be an exceptional person. Her pleasant demeanor and sincere apologies for the misunderstanding, which was not her fault. She then requested that I check my porch's surveillance cameras and discovered that the item had been stolen. I anticipated that it would be my responsibility that I would not receive my items back. However, Christina performed her magic and obtained another set for me without charging me a dime. While reassuring her client, she was courteous, thoughtful, and thoughtful once more. She informed me that it was her third day on the job. If the Wayfair supervisor is reading this, she deserves a promotion for her outstanding performance and outstanding customer service. I haven't had the pleasure of conversing with someone more pleasant in quite some time. Christina from Texas, many thanks for continuing to do what you enjoy.

I purchased a bathroom vanity, but to my dismay I found the top was cracked when I opened the box. I contacted Wayfair and they said they would send a new one out and I could just dispose of the damaged one. I emailed the customer service resolution center letting them know there was no way I could get the 300 pound vanity out of my house. They told me to have a charity pick it up. I could not find a charity that would do this. I went back and forth and called several times, when finally the rep said she would put in a "request" for the delivery company to take the damaged one when they deliver the replacement.
The replacement came two weeks later and the delivery guys said the box was damaged and they suggested they open the box to view the vanity before they bothered to remove it from the truck. Sure enough, that vanity was damaged as well. I didn't ask them but told them they needed to come inside and take the first vanity with them. They did. The delivery manager called to confirm the driver's account of what transpired. He suggested I call customer service and ask for a deep discount on a third vanity. Wayfair said they would give me 10% off my next purchase with them! Needless to say, I just told Wayfair to give me a full refund and I will never use their site again.

When I contact them telling them I want to use the code, they always, always tell me "it expired yesterday and we can't give it to you." This has happened quite a few times. Then I ask if they can give me another promo code and they offer me less than $10 off if I order within 24 hours. Less than $10 off thousands. I immediately thought something was wrong with my card, so I picked up the phone and called. The first man I spoke to indicated that those chairs I bought were actually NOT on sale and they wanted to charge my card MORE. I asked how it was possible that they had time to send me that email and cancel my order, without changing the ADVERTISED PRICE on their website.
After asking to speak with the supervisor, I was transferred to someone else. Wayfair took zero responsibility for THEIR MISTAKE and made no move to ensure they keep their customers. I have purchased a number of things from Wayfair that I have really enjoyed (a sectional, an outdoor set, a rug), and am therefore surprised at the lack of integrity I recently encountered. I recently ordered a set of backsplash tiles for $37.27/box in their clearance section. My order was cancelled due to a purchasing order, so I reordered. This was also cancelled. I called their helpline to see what the issue was, and they told me that my orders were cancelled because the tiles were being marked down further - wonderful! They said they would leave a note for their team to reinstate my order, which would happen in 24-48 hours.
2 days later, nothing. I signed onto my Wayfair, only to see the price had been reduced to $18.13 (as mentioned), and they only had seven boxes left. Worried about missing out on the stock, I purchased the remaining seven, and called Wayfair when they AGAIN cancelled my order. They said they had a processing issue with the price, and were contacting the vendor, and they would let me know when my order had been reinstated. 5 days later, nothing. At this point, I am concerned my tiles will not be here in time for the contractor, so I called Wayfair to see if there was a timeline for resolution. They informed me that not only do they not have a timeline, they would NOT be honouring the prices I had purchased at, and instead I would need to purchase at the newly listed price of $195.10/box.
I am extremely disappointed that Wayfair did not display any integrity in their resolution of this, did not honour either of their previously listed prices, and failed to initiate any communication. I would therefore not recommend Wayfair to anyone, and will actively be discouraging friends and family from purchasing through Wayfair, unless a more satisfactory resolution is reached.

A pole was faulty so the entire unit, which I badly needed, would not work. Any pet could stroll through the gate where the missing pole would be. I waited over a week for anyone at all at Wayfair to help me deal with this. Finally, a woman on the phone said, "we will send you a replacement part. Just email us what it is." I didn't know that when you are given a discount it voids the warranty. However, they don't state it OR put it in writing. I called CS because after deciding to keep the bed after about 2 months the bed broke and I can't use the bed. I called customer service who did what they are supposed to do and no complaints there but after speaking to the supervisor they said nothing could be done. Their reasoning. 1. I didn't buy a protection plan. 2. I took a discount (which I didn't know voided the warranty).
Same on that supervisor. Low cost, definitely means, low quality. I don't consider Wayfair for quality furniture but sometimes you need something until you get the quality, but never did I think it would only last 2 months and be out of a bed. I waited to review this item - I wanted to love this sofa, I liked the clean lines, and it met all my needs, high enough to vacuum under, deep enough to sleep on, removeable cushions and cushion covers. None of it matches, not even the colour. I bought teal green only, it’s more of a dark green - the colour isn't horrible. Which is about the only thing that is likeable about this sofa, oh and yes, I can vacuum under it.
This sofa purchase was going to be my forever sofa, I've been researching and saving for well over a year. I am 63 now, I do expect to need new cushions down the road as is normal, however I didn't think I would need a whole new sofa this soon. I've started saving for a new sofa and it will not be bought online. DO NOT BUY ANY SOFA BASED ON THE INFO THAT IS THERE. See the web pages. They all say something different, even the USA page for the - Boligee 85.83'' Upholstered Sofa with Ottoman – which is no longer listed on the Canadian website. However that’s what led me to trying to find it and then finding all the other one images of the one I bought – I did find it on Wayfair under different companies and under different descriptions.
Some company did make the original Green Chenille sofa with Ottoman, just like someone makes a beautiful Oscar gown, then the next day a knock off company in a different country makes an inferior knock off as cheap as possible. I bought the cheap knock off, materials not price, no they made a profit off this sucker to be sure. Now depending on the Wayfair website for this sofa it can support a listed range of either 250 lbs. up to 1000 lbs. The seat depth in the description is listed 29" to 31.5 “, do not confuse the seat depth with overall depth. For some reason it can be listed as both. That could be a language thing from the knock off company. The one I purchased measures 24” seat depth with the back cushions off and it measures 21" seat depth with the back cushions on.
The height is another thing. It’s listed in the product description of somewhere between 16” to 18” however when you sit the cushion compresses down to half an inch, so the height is around 12 inches. Very hard on your knees when attempting to stand. The seat cushions are not proper sofa cushions. Again they went cheap, there is a very soft 1-inch foam thing and then a blown polyester filler to give it loft on top of the 1-inch foam. Looks good until you sit, absolutely no support. You do realize this as your bottom goes numb from the springs in the body of the couch.
This is the perfect couch, if you do not want to be comfortable, hate having company or want to stage a home. Even better if you are 5' tall or under, weigh no more than 125 lbs., and need to be motivated to not sit or relax, no lounging on this thing. Another weird thing about this sofa is the cushions have zippers. Zippers are great, only the cushions have tufted buttons, you must cut the buttons off to get the cushions out. Some descriptions say storage. If there is storage I have yet to find it. Now on the underside of the ottoman there is a small, zippered area, where the feet for the ottoman were, I suppose you could hide something small there.
Return it, not so easy when they deduct return shipping and, in some cases, a restocking fee, you could lose the entire amount you paid or only get a few hundred back. I will sell it or try to. Worst of all I bought the insurance they advertise with the purchase. However, the insurance doesn’t cover stupidity. I was stupid, I trusted, and that was my biggest mistake.

In 2019, while residing in Chicago, I outfitted an apartment in Florida using Wayfair. For the initial two years, I only lived in Florida during winters before permanently relocating. My initial experience with Wayfair was excellent. Their customer service was on point, accommodating returns with ease. For items below $75, they often suggested either donating or disposing of the product and would still issue a return. Fast forward to now, four years later, I'm grappling with a deteriorating sectional sofa, costing over $1300. Despite it being rated for 900 lbs, the frame is disintegrating, and mind you, I weigh only 105 lbs. The absurdity of the situation is that I've never misused this sofa - never had guests over on it or even slept on it, and for its first two years, I barely used it. This shows in the condition of the sofa's fabric.
When Wayfair's customer service and the manufacturer turned a blind eye, I got a handyman involved. He charged $150 and identified that the sofa's wooden frame is splitting. Ironically, Wayfair's current model of this sofa has undergone a complete design overhaul – likely to prevent such issues. Yet, they offer no compensation or acknowledgment for the poorly made product I got. After spending thousands with Wayfair, I'm deeply disappointed with them and strongly advise against purchasing anything from them.
