Moving day started early, and I was exhausted before it even began, but the team came in with so much energy. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their hard work never slowed. Even in the final moments, they were just as focused as when they started. Their dedication made all the difference. It was inspiring to see such passion for their work.

These guys helped me relocate my pet-friendly apartment with ease. Pet crates, supplies, and furniture were handled with extra attention. The entire process was smooth, keeping stress levels low for both me and my pets. Even the setup at the new home considered their needs. Having a stress-free move made settling in that much easier. A move that takes pets into account is invaluable!

This company is a scam! Just now getting around to fighting them as I had to find a new moving company at the last minute after a large increase in my moving estimate and lack of response. The company not only scammed me out of my first deposit of 1000 twice (they advised the old take a check over the phone and next day advised the check did not go through and they needed to reprocess). The second check went through immediately and then 8 days later they cashed the first one and denied it! In addition after lack of communication for the first 72 hours they then had a quality control person call to confirm estimate and estimate doubled, I insisted on getting my deposit back and they refused to respond.

I was so worried they would not even show up I had to hire a new moving company. When I canceled with Starline… they acknowledged cancelation immediately and of course refused to refund the 2k they took from me. Absolutely avoid this company at all costs. I am now in the process after receiving legal advice of pursuing reimbursement of the 2k they scammed from me.

I would give Starline Van Lines negative stars if possible. That said, this is my story. I was moving from Orlando, FL to upstate SC. When I initially received an estimate from Starline, they quoted me $5584. A few days before the move, I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with someone named Mandy, detailing everything I was moving. After we finished, the quote increased to $10.653.50. I was not happy about that, but I figured I just had more boxes and more things than originally estimated. I realized two days before the move, I had forgotten to tell them about a garage refrigerator I was moving, so I called Starline to inform them. They did not seem to care, so I figured the truck would be big enough.

The movers were to arrive on Sunday. They were late, of course, and when they showed up, I knew there was no way all of my things would fit in the truck they brought, a 28 foot truck they told me. Planet Movers was hired by Starline to do the move. I had a baby grand piano that was known to be moved, a large gun safe, many boxes, etc. That said, the truck was about 75% full, and they had not loaded one piece of furniture. They told me I would need another truck.

When asked how much that would cost, they said $24,000. I almost fainted. So, I asked if they could get my piano in the first truck, and I would just get rid of the rest of the furniture and buy new in the new house I was building because I could buy a lot of furniture for $10,000. The guy said no, it would not fit. It would have fit, but that’s what he said. So, then I estimated the cost to just have someone move the piano, and that would cost $1700-$2000. I started thinking about how much stuff I had, and just the gun safe alone was about $2000, so it just did not make sense to buy all new furniture. After an additional discussion, we agreed on $21,000.

They filled the initial truck, left, and returned the next day, hours late, with another truck. After that truck was filled, they told me I owed $8000 in packaging material for wrapping all the furniture. Unbelieveable. I got them down to an additional $3000, so the total moving cost was $24,000. That’s just the start of the story. Three days later, they arrived in SC to put my things in storage, as I was building a house, and the house wasn’t ready yet. They put my things in storage, but a lot of my things were still in a storage unit in an unknown location, and they would not tell me where.

Two and a half weeks later, I still did not have my things. I could not get anyone from Starline to help me, and when you call, it’s very difficult to talk to someone, and if you do, you do not get good answers. Mo from Planet Movers also would not respond to my questions. I finally received all my things at a final cost of $24,124. That is totally insane. I had to wire the money before the movers would deliver my things, and I had to sell investments to wire the money.

Two days before my move they still had not assigned me a driver and would not answer my repeated phone calls or messages to get an update. They set things up in a way to scam you, purposefully lying and tricking you into signing and then backing out of. This is AFTER I was initially misquoted the wrong price and AFTER they lied about my stuff being shipped by itself. My representative was Justin. He began to only want to talk from his cell phone (probably because the calls are supposed to be recorded which would make lying harder) and I also talked to a rude lady called Mandy, before both ghosted me forcing me to find another mover last minute. They won't refund because they claimed they still had time to find me a mover.

I used this company to move from Phoenix to NC. Everything was over the phone and every time I talked to them the price increased. The load increased but it was all from the estimate by the billing department. I was originally quoted a price to move a studio 325 cu ft. A few days before the P/U I got a call and they upped the Cu Ft to 425 which increased the price of everything, surcharges, gas fees, storage fees etc. The movers were contracted. No uniforms, no branding and a truck that barely ran. They were literal kids. They kept trying to sell me space off of the books. No nothing would have been covered if damaged. The total amount of space was 196 cu ft less than 1/2 what I paid for. I only know this because I audited the load and rented a storage unit that was the EXACT same size as the truck and had my property taken directly to the unit.

When they deliver my property there were 2 kids in their PJs and flip flops. My property was dripping water which means there was a hole in the roof of the truck. I was promised upon delivery we would talk about a refund but once they had all the ones they pretty much said there would be no refund. I called several times and posed my objections to the extra space I purchased. They never used a single a measuring device or let me verify what was on the truck. This was a horrible stressful situation and I feel I was intentionally taken advantage of.

I'm a retired veteran on a fixed income. My move should have been around $1300 or ended up costing me $3200 not to mention the broken and damaged property. They only got the the back wall of my garage and NOTHING out of my apartment. They advised my studio would be 325 cu ft then 425 cu ft. If they were honest I could have done everything in one move but the deceptive business practices made me choose another company to move my apartment.

Never ever get these scammers, I will write a review on them monthly. They're scam artist raising their price again 1 day before move and you have no choice to pay. They never covered my beautiful oak dining room table and chairs and my 2 oak dressers damaged. They went through my security tagged boxes. I have boxes missing. Their driver kept asking me for more money when he delivered my stuff and I complained to the company after he insisted for more money, the company called him and he got mad left all my belonging in the driveway. I called them back, they did nothing to help. I had to pay another moving company to move my stuff in the home. They never covered any damages with there insurance. These people belong in jail and deserve a class action suit against them. If we all get together hopefully to make this possible.
