Our initial movers, Colonial Van Lines, cancelled our cross-country move two days before our scheduled moving date, creating havoc in our lives. Moving Direct and the third-party company that they used, Moving Express, was available to pack up our fragile items and move us at the last minute, and I was initially very grateful for their assistance. Unfortunately, the issues began immediately after the Supervisor arrived at our home. Our moving estimate of $26,701.00 suddenly became $55,000! I was frantic so the Supervisor put us in touch with the President, Anthony Sannicandro. He offered to give us the "bargain rate" of $42,700 for our move. He knew that he had us over a barrel because three other real estate closings were contingent upon us moving out of our home in two days. We knew that they were taking advantage of the situation but felt that we had no choice but to accept their pricing.

One of my appliances, the fridge, wouldn't fit through the door. But the movers didn't panic or trip. They took a quick break to assess the situation and came up with a plan. They detached the doors and handles and were able to squeeze that bad boy through. Crisis averted, thanks to these guys!

Oh man, you excelled. I had to move my vintage center table and an heirloom bookshelf. Mike made a fair deal with me. He was all in all really helpful, competent, and diligent in gathering’ my furniture, appliances and my projector.

There was a lot of destroyed and missing property during the move. Also, they lied about the timing of the truck, put our stuff in the storage area, and wanted more money. They wanted to charge an additional 10 grand because they brought a smaller truck. It was like one company taking a chunk of money and taking their portion of what they wanted. Then, renting a smaller truck saying, “Oh, you can only get this much,” bringing it to a storage unit, calling the other company up and saying, “Okay, well, we got X amount of stuff. We got this much for you.” It was a bunch of garbage and the stuff that they pulled was very unprofessional. And they made it so that the only way my mother could get her money back is to go to a court in that state and take it to court. I tried calling them to fix things and they kept kicking us to the curb.

Every pair of shoes arrived in its own box, and nothing was squeezed or scratched. I couldn’t believe how nicely these movers had packed my collection of shoes. Great moving staff, Will definitely recommend them to others!!

Kathryn said a direct move (a dedicated truck) would cost me 5000 dollars more than a shared truck but my stuff would stay on the truck that picked up my stuff. It would not be moved - this was a complete lie - all my stuff was moved to a shared truck. I complained and was ignored. They ripped me off for 5000 dollars. Never responded to my complaints - stay far away. These are brokers. They could care less about you - it's all about a commission --- hire a moving company. Stay away from brokers. Kathryn is a thief in my opinion. A proud one!!!!

A word of praise for the two gents Bryan and Daxton that did my move. They were fantastic. In fact the whole process was fantastic. Plus the guys were so enthusiastic and did the job with smiles on their faces. I hate lifting, so was blown away how easy they made it look. Thanks for outstanding and responsive service.
