The initial quote for our one bedroom apartment was $3,800, but the final price was $7,000. I am hoping they move our items safely so I can say it was worth it in the end. We are moving from Los Angeles to East Texas. Prayers are welcome!

Direct Relocation Services packed my possessions with only recyclable materials. They provided a thorough relocation checklist that included waste reduction advice. Andrew and Kelly, the movers, painstakingly divided the belongings into portions for relocation, recycling, and donation. They used red boxes for recycling, blue for relocation and green and white for donation.

I had furniture in Florida that I needed to be brought to Ohio. Direct did a very good job and everything came in one piece and undamaged. Their price seemed to be reasonable, too. I was very happy.

Their price was the best. When I spoke to Richard, he sounded very nice and cordial. Richard was very good. He helped quite a bit. The pickup was fine. But the delivery was awful. It was supposed to be three to five days. But it turned out to be almost two weeks. They said, "Well, that's the way it usually is." It was supposed to be Direct Relocation was supposed to be the company that picked us up, which it was. It was supposed to be the same company that delivered it and it wasn't. They hired some other company out of New Jersey, who happened to be in Florida picking up another or dropping off a place in Florida. So they hired this other secondary company instead of being themselves taking care of the move back up to New York.

I would give Direct Relocation Services another shot. I know every driver is different. But it was one of those that almost felt like a bait and switch where customer service was great and they wanted my business. But once they had it, it was very difficult to reach anyone to get any answers on anything. Proceed with caution. The customer service seemed to be great, and I liked the price. We got a slightly cheaper price elsewhere, but we still picked Direct Relocation Services because of their quick response to my inquiry.

Everything was very straightforward with my moving coordinator. I was impressed with their transparency and everything was easygoing. The expectations were set since the beginning. The movers did everything in a timely manner and they were done very quickly. It was really a good experience. I would recommend Direct Relocation Services. It was affordable in comparison to other companies.
